You could be my sunshine
You could be my light
Together till the end
We're walking into the night
Written in the stars that shine up in the sky
Together till the end
We're walking into the night
Alex Hook ft. Shyam "Walk Into the Night"
It was getting late.
The sky was turning shades of pink and purple as the sun was beginning to set in downtown Manhattan.
Detective Anthony Abetemarco noticed this as he walked past the huge panel of glass windows.
The attorneys that worked in the building got the nice views.
His office was more or less a dungeon with no windows.
He popped his head into Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan's office.
"''Eyy Erin, you need anything? I gotta make a run to the supply closet. Fresh out of pens."
Erin lifted her tired head from the paperwork she had piled up high in front of her. Her eyes expressed tiredness too.
She was wearing a white satin blouse that contrasted nicely with her luscious dark brown hair.
She gave him a weak smile and said, "I'm good for the moment, thanks. We still on for a late night dinner after?"
"Yea, of course," he smiled broadly back at her and felt his heart warmed with the thought of hanging out with his best friend.
He was humming a tune as he entered the supply closet.
"Damn, why isn't this light working?" he flicked the switch a few times and found himself fumbling around the shelves in the dark.
He tried to hold the door open to get some light and thought of grabbing his cell phone to use the flashlight.
He grabbed in his pocket and came up empty.
It was on his desk of course.
He tried keeping the door open with his foot but the pens were on the opposite side of the supply closet just out of reach. He could just dart across quickly and back.
The door clicked softly shut and he made an instant grab.
He backtracked and tried to open the door.
It wouldn't.
The knob wouldn't turn in his hand. It was locked.
From the inside.
"Son of a …" he let out a string of curse words as he fumbled uselessly with the door handle.
Minimal light was coming in from under the door.
He only hoped that Erin would come looking for him if he was missing long enough.
He would have had to walk past her office to get back to his.
MEANWHILE
Erin pushed the papers in front of her aside and sighed.
It had been a LONG day. Most of which was spent in court which always felt like three days rolled into one.
She looked in her desk and realized her stapler was completely empty.
And she was out of staples.
Guess I did need something from that supply closet she thought.
She got up from her desk and wondered why she hadn't seen Anthony go back to his office yet.
She headed for the supply closet.
INSIDE THE CLOSET
Anthony had pounded and shouted for several minutes and realized most everyone had left the building now that it was after 6pm.
And Erin's office was too far away to hear him.
So he had given up and resorted to collapsing on the floor against the back wall of the closet so he could see if any footsteps were walking by.
It was so dark in there that he had momentarily dozed off.
Suddenly he heard the door open and light came streaming in.
Erin stood in silhouette attempting to do the same thing as him. Flick the light switch that wasn't responding.
He struggled to stand up, "Erin - " he began.
Erin had stepped fully inside and all of a sudden the door clicked softly shut behind her.
"Oh no, not again!"
"Anthony, what the heck are you doing in here?" she grabbed for the doorknob and twisted it. Achieving nothing.
"Oh my gosh; we're locked in!"
"You think," Anthony muttered, annoyed as grabbed his way along the shelves towards her in the near darkness.
Erin was up against the door pounding and shouting.
"Help! Somebody help! We're locked in this supply closet!"
Anthony sighed, "Yeah already tried that. Pretty sure everyone has gone home and we are going to have to wait for the evening janitors to get here."
"Damn!" Erin cursed in the dark.
Anthony was still fumbling his way towards her and all of a sudden he was grabbing her.
"Oh geez! There you are," Erin said as she felt a hand on her arm.
Something tingled up the side of her arm and she drew in a shaky breath.
What was that about?
And suddenly the air felt very thin in the closet.
Erin's face was flushed and Anthony was saying nothing.
Deep down a part of her was curious.
Insanely curious.
He was her best friend. She could tell him anything. She didn't spend nearly as much time with anyone else. Including her own family.
And Abigail Baker had said something to her just a few days ago that she hadn't been able to get out of her head -
"So, you gonna make the moves on Anthony or what?"
Feeling as if some other force had taken over her body she reached her arm out.
Anthony was wearing his suit jacket and she grabbed for just inside of it, touching the side of his stomach and moving her hand around his back.
"Hey Erin, what - " he began and she moved her other hand up as best as she could see to touch his face in the dark.
She gently grazed from his cheek which was beginning to feel like 5 o'clock stubble along the side of his smooth cheek.
Anthony's face felt like it was burning.
He had no idea what was happening.
Only that Erin had her one hand around his waist and the other stroking his cheek as if she was trying to determine what he looked like in the dark.
His heart was racing and he felt like he couldn't swallow.
He could feel the heat coming off of Erin considering how close she was to him. Their stomachs were practically touching.
And he had no clue what her thoughts were considering they couldn't see each other's face in this darkness.
Her hand moved from his side and drifted up along his chest.
That's it. I can't breathe. He thought as she woke something in him he had been afraid to even admit to himself.
Her hand stopped near his heart and he thought it was going to pound right out of his chest.
He took in a deep breath and felt himself absolutely enthralled with her every movement on his body.
Her hand stroking his face, moved up to the top of his head, pushing through his shortly cropped hair.
And then she was moving her other hand slowly up his silk tie…
Erin could literally not stop herself.
It was as if her hands wanted to touch as much of Anthony as they possibly could.
All the curiosity needed to be satisfied.
She decided to go for it.
Clearly he wasn't objecting.
Her hand running through his dark hair moved around the back of his head.
Her other hand grabbed the knot around his tie and she gently pulled his head towards hers.
It wasn't a far move as Anthony was only three inches taller than she.
Their lips met and she felt an electrifying tingle shoot down all the way to her toes.
Anthony groaned and wrapped his encompassing arms around her waist.
And suddenly he was the one taking over.
He deepened the kiss and Erin let out a gasp as his tongue found hers.
She was being pushed up against the wall as Anthony awoke like a bear from a deep slumber.
Sounds of desire emanating from them both.
He ran his hands through her silky hair and she instinctively tilted her head back.
Yearning for him. My body is literally yearning for him. She thought.
He took the cue and his lips moved along her jawline and towards her neck.
"Anthony…" She sighed his name.
Anthony felt the desire deepen in him hearing Erin say his name like that.
As if they were the only two people on the face of the planet.
As if she needed him.
His mouth moved along her neck as his hands roamed her figure.
Erin was having difficulty standing and found herself hanging her arms tightly around Anthony's neck as he nuzzled hers.
He felt so good.
She would always feel safe in his embrace. That's for sure.
He paused momentarily and chuckled, "Oh shoot. I don't want to leave any marks on you,"
Erin temporarily woke from her dreamy state and realized he was talking about leaving her a hickey.
She laughed and said, "I could care less about that right now."
She grabbed him tightly and moved his mouth to hers again drinking him in.
She moved herself off the wall and pushed him against it this time.
Anthony smiled in the dark.
Erin always likes to be in charge.
Her hands moved around the inside of his jacket and he started shrugging his arms out of it.
Erin moved her hands along his muscular arms and broad shoulders as she pinned him back to the wall.
He grabbed her waist tightly and held her against him.
"Mmm Erin," he murmured as she trailed kisses on his face and neck.
He couldn't believe this was all happening.
Erin was a beautiful, smart, and extremely attractive woman. She could have any guy she wanted.
And yet in this moment what she wanted was him.
Deep down he knew how he felt about her but he had never been able to bring those feelings to the surface.
Never thinking that she could ever feel that way about him…
His hands moved to grab her bottom. He had always wondered…
She giggled at his forceful touch.
"Anthony, what are we doing?" she murmured between their kisses.
"I don't know," he admitted. "I just know you feel damn good in this moment."
She pulled back breathlessly.
"How long have you felt this way?" she asked him in the dark.
"How long have YOU felt this way?" he responded. "You started it," he reminded her laughing.
He had her in his arms and she hugged him deeply and said, "I don't know really. I just had this intense curiosity…" she trailed off, afraid to say too much.
"Me too." he responded as he held her.
She breathed him in.
A husky slightly sweaty smell with something that smelled like Zest soap on his skin. It was intoxicating.
Suddenly Erin's eyes caught flickers of movement where the crack of the door was.
"Hey, I think someone's out there."
"Hm…I think I'd rather stay right here," Anthony said devilishly as she swatted him.
"Help, help!" they both shouted and banged on the door.
A very surprised older woman with dark hair pulled back in a bun opened the door.
A man and a woman came bursting out looking extremely…disheveled. He was carrying his suit jacket and she was careful not to look into her eyes.
"Thank you! Someone needs to fix that lock," Anthony muttered as they burst out of the supply closet.
A/N: This was my first Anthony and Erin fic. Let me know your thoughts! If there was enough interest I'd consider writing more! I always thought they had incredible chemistry on Blue Bloods :)
