It was confusing. One part was supposed to be the front, right? Do you lay down or stand up? Of sit on it and pull it up between your legs. Bakugo looked at his phone. It was nearing three-thirty. If he didn't get some sleep, he'd never be able to get to the gym by five-thirty. He's be EXHAUSTED. On top of that, his sheets weren't ready. Fuck. Bakugo knew that he would have to ask for help. He ascended one floor and walked down to Shoto's room.
"Tell me." Katsuki demanded. "Or I'll kill you."
Shoto frowned. "Okay." He stepped aside.
The entirety of the Todoroki House was traditional Japanese themed. The same was true of his room.
Bakugo looked at the framed bed. "What? No futon? The bed is so… Western-looking in here."
Shoto shrugged. He lifted the corner of his sheets to show a plastic cover. "I can't put a cover on a futon. At least not as easily." He turned back to Bakugo, who was yawning and had eyes that somehow had become even more sunken and tired appearing. He crossed to his closet and pulled out an orange diaper. "Here. Look." Shoto said.
"Wait- why is that one colorful?" Katsuki asked.
Todoroki stepped aside and pulled the door out of view to display the bottom shelf. "You can get them in really any color if you want."
Bakugo frowned. "Then why'd you give me the boring ones?!"
He was petty on a good day, but it was now Shoto's turn to look exhausted. He ignored Katsuki's remarks. "These are called tab-style briefs, by the way. Not diapers, usually. That being said, look- these sticky tabs go on the back and wrap around front before you pull them off the backing and stick them on the plastic 'landing zone,' which should be snug around your hips. Just lay one down and then center yourself over it with the folded tabs under your lower back and pull the front up between your hips. Then stick it on. You get one shot."
"This is stupidly complicated." Bakugo said. "Whatever." He turned on his heel and balled up his fists. The entire conversation had his cheeks burning bright red and eyes askance.
"Is this because you want the orange one?" Todoroki asked, successfully not laughing.
"No." Bakugo replied. "But I'm taking that one."
The boy snatched it off the bed and stuck it under his shirt before taking the elevator down. When he arrived at his room, he realized that Shoto had texted him.
USE. POWDER.
Bakugo sighed. He didn't have any. Besides. What were the chances that he'd have a nightmare? Surely not. It was time to grab his laundry now, too.
Begrudgingly, back in his room, he flattened the diaper onto his fresh bed and made sure the tabs were facing the back before he lay down on them and spread his legs to pull the front up. There. He thought. Now I'm fine. Door is locked. Blinds are drawn. No one needs to know.
For a moment, he was anxious, but sleep was too powerful of a force, and he fell asleep not long after he finished sticking down the tabs. When he woke up at 5:54am, from his phone buzzing he realized that it was not actually his phone. He was the source of the shaking, He was shivering cold, as the sweat began to freeze his body. He turned off the fan and had the warm feeling between his legs. Damn it to hell. He had done it again. He was thankful that he had awoken, however, because it was time to get a shower and hit the gym.
