A sea of darkness.
That's how anyone would describe what he's seeing.
He remembers his name. Nero Stein. He remembered going to a bar with his friends and later getting in his car drunk before everything turned black.
"I knew I should have called a Lift instead of driving. What was I thinking?" I said. "So is this the afterlife or something? Because if it is, then I already wanna leave."
"Welcome, Nero Stein."
Nero's eyes widened at the sudden voice seemingly coming from everywhere. "Who said that?" He looks around but finds no one.
"I did."
'Okay, this is getting creepy.' "Where are you?"
"I am everywhere. You could say that I am this dimension." The dark voice said.
"... what are you?" Nero asked.
"How do I explain it in a way your tiny mortal brain can understand?" The voice hums for a solid minute before stopping. "Tell me, do you know Power Rangers?"
"Um… yeah?" Nero looks confused.
"Do you know what the Morphin Grid is?"
I ponder for a moment. "That's the source of all rangers' powers, and I guess all life in the universe?"
"Close enough." The voice shrugs. "I am what you humans would call the other side of the coin. Or in this case, the other side of the Grid."
"Wait. Are you saying YOU'RE the Morphin Grid!?" Nero exclaims.
"In a sense. What I really am is the Anti-Existence of the Morphin Grid. I am the chaotic energy left behind during the universe's inception. When the Grid became the dominant force in the universe, I was put in the proverbial shelf as it were. Left to collect dust at the end of eternity." The dark voice said.
"Oh…" Nero said. "I'm… sorry?"
"Eh, I don't really care. Besides, I got to see you mortals abuse the Grid in your eternal war of good versus evil so it wasn't all that bad." The dark voice then sighs. "Which brings us to the main problem."
"What do you mean?" Nero asked.
"The problem is the war itself. It is getting boring." The voice admits. "It's always the same thing: Evil show up, good guys show up, good guys beat bad guys, rinse and repeat. It's honestly ridiculous." He said. "Which brings us back to you."
Nero points to his face. "Me?"
"Yup. I've had my eye on you for a while, Nero Stein. You seem to have the innate ability to make any situation interesting regardless of how bad it is which makes you perfect for this little project of mine." The dark voice states. "You're going to the Power Rangers universe, and you're going to make it as interesting as possible. You could be a hero, a villain, neither, both it doesn't matter how you do it. Hell, you can add some spice to the whole thing and get yourself a harem. I don't care. Just get it done."
Nero blinks at the dark god's seemingly nonchalant attitude about the whole thing. He wants to send me to the Power Rangers universe because he's bored. BORED! I mean, I know people who have done things for dumber reasons, but he literally killed me just for that!? That's beyond stupid. It's ludicrous!
"You know I can read your mind, right?" The dark voice suddenly speaks in my head.
Oh shit.
"I don't mind that you think I'm insane, which I am, I just prefer that you tell me outright. I don't like secrets." The voice said, sound almost betrayed.
"Sorry…" I muttered.
"Anyways, it's clear you need some convincing so let me sweeten the deal." Wisps of darkness begin to swirl in front of Nero before it dissipates. In front of Nero is a wristwatch with a blue/black wristband. Instead of a clock face, it has a blue and black dial.
"Is this… an Omnitrix?" Nero asked, recognizing the iconic wristwatch. "I didn't take you for a Ben 10 fan."
"What can I say? I love the classics." The dark voice said. "Anyways, this is the Omni Morpher. As you can imagine, it works the same way as the recalibrated Omnitrix from Ben 10, but unlike the Omnitrix, you can actually take it off like a normal watch."
"Hm. Cool." Nero said.
"It contains all the data of heroes and villains from various media like TV, games, movies for you to use at your own leisure. You can also summon them as separate entities to serve as your own personal army and travel across different universes and timelines." The dark voice explains. "To do this, you simply need to twist the dial clockwise once and twice counterclockwise. When that happens, the dial will turn a dark orange and all that's left is to select the character and press the core." The voice continues. "As for the dimensional hopping, all you need to do is the previous steps but in reverse which will cause the dial to turn green." Nero can imagine the voice smiling as he says this. "So, what do you think? Pretty cool, huh?"
Nero couldn't believe what he's hearing. The shadow of the Morphing Grid just gave him the key to absolute power just to provide the sentient entity better entertainment. Not only that but he gave him permission to do whatever he wanted without any sort of repercussions. Also, while Nero wasn't interested in a full-blown harem, there were a couple of ladies that did catch his eye.
Oh this is gonna be fantastic.
Without a second thought, Nero grabs the Omni-Morpher and strap it on his left wrist. It suddenly makes a series of beeps before the dial begins to light up signifying that it is activated.
"Wonderful. I'm happy you took my offer with open arms." The voice said.
Nero marvels at the morpher in his wrist. "It feels great." He looks up at the perpetual darkness. "So, what now?"
A swirling vortex appears in front of me. "Simply go through this portal and find out."
His eyebrows furrowed. "You're not even going to tell me where I'm going?"
"Now where's the fun in that? Just go on in there and make some chaos."
Nero stares at the vortex and takes a deep breath. "Here we go." He walks through the portal, ready for this new adventure.
Only to find himself standing on nothing but thin air!
At that moment, Nero did the only logical thing to do.
"FUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKK YOOOOOOUUUUUUUUU!" Nero screams out as he falls down at high speeds.
The Anti-Existence of the Morphing Grid laughs.
In the blackness of the cosmos lies a planet with orangish features resembling tectonic plates and the size of the Earth's Moon.
This is the Cimmerian Planet. And here is where an event is taking place.
On the planet's surface, a banquet is taking place with many guests happily drinking and talking to one another. However, these "guests" aren't human, they all take the forms of various creatures that are fearsome and terrifying in appearance; each of them radiating a malevolent aura that would scare off most normal creatures. However, each of these monsters have something in common.
Power Rangers.
The defenders to all that is good.
A team of five(sometimes six) teenagers who would don full-body, brightly-colored spandex of varying colors. They were not only highly skilled in martial arts, but were equipped with a variety of powerful weapons that would defeat their monsters and delay their plans time and time again. So, why are these defeated villains so happy? It's simple, really.
The Power Rangers are dead.
Someone has managed to not only find their base of operations but launched a full-blown assault on the rangers, planting explosives inside and blowing it up with the rangers still inside. Not only that, but the villains have also captured their most hated enemy, the sage Zordon of Eltar, and keep him prisoner on the planet in an Energy Tube, effectively making him a glorified trophy for the villains to mock on.
And who was this person? This dastardly villain who finally put an end to those meddling teenagers?
"...and then, I discovered where the Power Chamber was, and with one touch of this little finger, I blew the rangers into HIGH HEAVEN!" A feminine narcissistic voice proclaims as she laughs. She is a woman with brown hair that into purple at the tips that she kept tied to a ponytail. She wears a gold headpiece around her face and two black gauntlets on her arms along with a red cloak that covers her body.
This was Divatox, the queen of the space pirates and now the self-proclaimed "Queen of Evil".
She fought against Zordon's latest team, the Turbo Rangers, on Earth on numerous occasions and even after he left for Eltar and left her twin sister Dimitria to take his place. Even after the team was replaced with new rangers she still had trouble beating them.
She finally got the upper hand when she recruited a powerful monster known as Goldgoyle.
He easily overpowers the rangers and even with the added firepower of the Megazord it still wasn't enough to destroy him. Out of power and badly damaged, the rangers had no choice but to set the Rescue Megazord to self destruct, and when that failed, overloaded the Turbo Megazord to finish it off only for that to fail and was promptly turned into scrap.
The ranger's final option was to use the Turbo Ram and launch it directly at Goldgoyle's mouth, detonating and destroying the monster from the inside.
Even with the loss of Goldgoyle, Divatox quickly turned this loss into an advantage.
While the rangers were fighting Goldgoyle, she sent her minions Elgar and Rygog to search for the Power Chamber. When they saw the rangers' teleportation beams, they quickly followed them and eventually ran into the base. She immediately makes her move and sends her entire armada to the base and, with Dimitria and the Blue Senturian leaving the planet, decides to attack immediately, overwhelming the rangers and destroying the base with the rangers inside… or at least that's what she's telling everyone in the party.
As she continues her rant, someone bumps into Divatox. She turns to see that it was the "Mistress of Evil" Rita Replusa along with her husband Lord Zedd, the "Emperor of Evil." These two were the first to fight Zordon on Earth with his first team of Power Rangers and while they have succeeded on a few occasions, they both ran with their tails between their legs at the end when the Machine Empire took over. In the end though, they got their sweet revenge by blowing them up leaving them as literal scrap.
Needless to say, the entire alliance appreciated that. They were ecstatic to see those outdated buckets of bolts finally kicked off their high horses for a change.
"It's you…" Rita says with mild animosity.
"Hm? Ah…" Divatox smiles. "How wonderful to see you," She stops for a moment. "Frieda."
The sorceress grits her teeth. "It's RITA!"
"Oh!" Divatox feigns shock.
"So, still after the Power Rangers?" Rita mocks her.
Divatox leans forward with her ear out. "Who? Oh them." She chuckles. "Really, Frieda, you must get out of the dumpster more often."
Rita glares at her.
"I've DESTROYED those Power Rangers!" She laughs and looks at her. "Well, SOMEBODY had to."
Rita glares at Divatox with visible jealousy.
Divatox then turns around, causing the tails of her cloak to hit both Rita and Zedd in the face. "It's good to be the Queen~" She kisses her cloak to mock them and walks off.
Glowling, Zedd tries to go after her, only to be stopped by Rita's wand.
"What she said!" Elgar exclaims and follows her.
"Is that true? Did she really destroy the Power Rangers?" Rita asks her husband.
"Well, it IS sort of the universal gossip right now…" Zedd replies, though he was a bit unsure himself.
"AND ANOTHER THING!" The evil couple look to Elgar. "WHAT'S WITH THE HAIR!?"
Rita had enough. She points her wand and fires a magic bolt at Divatox, only for it to pass through her cloak and go to someone else, who catches the attack with her right hand as the energy is trapped in it.
The two villainesses look to see a woman clad in a black and white skin-tight leather suit that covers her whole body, a pair of high heel boots and a pair of metallic rectangular arm guards with blades on each one and a necklace around her neck. She wears two silver gauntlets on her hands with sharp fins at their ends and black high heels. She has violet hair and wears a circlet around her head.
"..." The mystery woman looks at them as she raises her and the red lighting turns into purple before letting it evaporate into the air.
Divatox turns to Elgar. "Who is that!?"
Her nephew leans closer. "That's Astronema. They say she'll be the new Queen of Evil."
"Oh really?" Divatox turns back to Astronema, who slowly passes by the other monsters, seemingly entranced by her beauty.
"Not if I can help it." She looks to see a robed figure standing in front of her. "And what are you staring at?"
"Yeah, what are you staring at?" Elgar adds.
The cloaked figure walks off.
After a couple of minutes, everyone begins to gather around a table full of food and drinks.
"Make way for the Queen of all Evil. Move it." Divatox pushes everyone in front of her as she makes her way towards the table. "You'd make a nice pair of earrings. You two would." She remarks. "I'm here now, the party can begin. Hehehe!"
"Allow me, aunty D." Elgar pulls a chair out, allowing Divatox to take a seat.
"But of course." Divatox accepts the offer and takes a seat. Elgar does the same and sits next to her.
"..." The cloaked figure turns to his right where Astronema is.
Astronema catches this as slowly leans forward, staring back at the cloaked villain.
The villain quickly averts their eyes and leans back to his seat, earning a glare from her.
Suddenly, lightning erupts from space as something begins to form over the planet. It is a massive humanoid creature with boiling rocks for skin, a fish-like head, and three sharp claws for hands.
"I am Dark Specter, monarch of all that is evil! I have captured the mighty Zordon and am draining him of his powers!" The camera then shifts to show Zordon in his tube, hooked up to a machine that slowly fills his prison with lava from the bottom. "As his strength drains, the lava will rise, extinguishing the Power forever!"
Lord Zedd stands up. "Ah, this calls for a Lava Juice toast! To the universe! A universe that shall belong to the Dark Specter!" He raises his glass and soon everyone else follows suit. However, before they drank, they heard something coming from the sky.
"... ooooooooUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"
*CRASH!*
All the villains have no time to react as the creature crashes directly on top of the table, destroying it in the process.
The villains look on as the culprit slowly gets up from his fall. They say this creature was undeniably male, wearing a fully mechanized dark purple suit with a dark cape rolling with the wind. The most drawing part was the helmet or rather the pair of piercing blue eyes that seemed to glow within the helmet, giving the person a more intimidating look.
"Who in the world is this!?" Rita demands
Elgar begins to poke him with his sword before he suddenly gets up, causing Elgar to fall on the floor.
"Fuuuuuuck, that could have gone better…" Nero groans before turning his attention to the villains. "Oh…"
"Who are you, human, and why are you here!?" Dark Specter demands.
Nero turns to Dark Specter. "Wow. You are a whole lot bigger than the TV made you out to be."
Lord Zedd summons his Z Staff. "He asked you a question, human. Now answer it!"
Nero turns to Lord Zedd and gasps. "It's you!" Before anyone can blink, Nero is already in front of Zedd. "I can't believe I actually get to meet you, Lord Zedd, in the living flesh!" He then begins to shake his staff, and him, at a rapid pace. "It's such an honor to meet you, sir!"
Everyone just looks shocked by the whole scene. Lord Zedd, the most powerful among them, is being shaken up and down like a ragdoll.
'Who the hell is this guy!?' Everyone thought at the same time.
"A-HEM!" Nero stops his handshake before turning to see Divatox. "Hi there, Divatox, Queen of all Evil. I don't know if you haven't noticed, but we were in the middle of something important before you crashed in. So if you would like to tell us WHO ARE YOU then we might not have to blast you to oblivion. M'kay?"
"Oh. I guess that makes sense." He lets go of Zedd, who staggers back before falling on the floor.
"My name is Nero Stein, and I am a huge fan of you guys."
The villains just look confused.
"I'm sorry. You said you're a fan of us. Exactly how are you a fan?" Divatox asked, obviously not believing him.
"I've watched you all since I was a kid." Nero said. "I've watched you guys battle the rangers for years and I suppose I wasn't the only one. An entity plucked me out of my home because it thought you were all boring so it decided to 'make things interesting' and sent me here." He said using air quotes.
The villains tried to take everything in. They were watched. Their actions, everything that they have done until now have been observed by an unseen party… BECAUSE HE WAS BORED OF US!?
"And how are you supposed to make it interesting?" Dark Specter asked. He didn't care that someone was watching him, but he did care about how his existence would affect his plans.
"With this, of course-" Nero looks down on a reflective surface and sees the armor he's wearing. "Whoa, I certainly wasn't wearing THIS before." He does a twirl and strikes a J*J* pose. "Oh yeah. This will work."
"If you're done ogling at yourself, can you please get on with your big reveal. We have a universe to conquer!" Divatox said.
"Yeah, yeah. Calm your tits, lady." Nero said, causing Divatox to glare at him.
"Anyways," He reaches for his watch and presses a switch, before showing it to everyone. "This is the Omni Morpher, it allows me to transform into… I guess anything really. It's the perfect weapon against the Power Rangers."
Divatox scoffs. "I hate to break it to you, idiot, but I've already destroyed the rangers, so you kindly get out." She says with a smug look on her face. However, instead of the awe she expected, all she got was laughter from the man. "What's so funny?"
"Sorry to burst your bubble, your highness, but the Power Rangers are alive and well." I revealed, causing Divatox' eyes to widen. "It's not surprising considering those two," Nero points to Rita and Lord Zedd "tried the exact same thing you did and the rangers not only survived, but had their base completely restored by Zordon."
"Tch." Rita and Zedd click their tongues at the humiliating reminder.
"And don't forget about these guys." I point to King Mondo and Queen Machina. "They had an empire on their side, dozens of super-powered robots, and an entire armada of soldiers. Yet, somehow, they still failed, spectacularly at that." I said. "Then to rub salt on the injury, they got themselves blown to bits by a present courtesy of those two."
"HA!" Rita laughs.
The machine duo glare at the human.
Nero finally points at Divatox, "Now for you. Yes, you were the next big bad in town. When you first started, you planned to bring him to life." Nero points up at Dark Specter. "And you did. But that didn't last long, as the rangers took him down. But somehow, he's alive here today." He shakes his head. "But back to my point. After that happened, you tried your best to take the rangers down and you finally had your chance when you found their base. But here's the thing, Divatox. The rangers are still alive." Nero revealed, causing Divatox' eyes to widen in shock.
"What!? That's impossible!"
"Believe it, sister. The Power Rangers are alive and are on their way here, right now." Nero then walks across the villains. "After since you've all failed so spectacularly. It's time for someone to take the mantle of big bad." He stops as he gets to Astronema's spot. "Hello there."
"...hello." Astronema replies.
Divatox grits her teeth. "Why her!?"
"Well for one, she's more competent than you, doesn't have a bunch of useless dimwits for henchmen, knows Dark Specter pretty well, and she's WAY hotter than you." Nero gestures at Astronema's outfit. "I mean look at her, who else do you know that wears leather and makes it look good!? Not you, that's for sure!"
Divatox has passed her boiling point, all the while Astronema smiles at the praise.
"You said that your watch allows you to turn into anything," Astronema brings up. "Mind giving us a demonstration?"
"Straight to the point, huh? I like that." Nero brings up the Omni Morpher before pushing the rim of the dial. The moment he does, the dial pops up and a blue hologram appears seemingly standing on the core.
Nero smiles at what he sees. "Let's do this." He slams the dial into the watch, causing an intense blue light to envelop him and villains to shield their eyes.
When the light dies down, the villains see that Nero was no longer there before looking up to the sky and see two Dark Specters staring at each other. The only difference is one of them has the Omni Morpher symbol on its chest.
"Impossible!" Dark Specter exclaims.
"I know, right?" Nero asks, sounding exactly like Dark Specter. "And I am not limited to this form either." The doppelganger turns the dial on his chest and presses it causing him to turn blue before shrinking back into the planet.
In the party, everyone sees that he is now the Mighty Morphin' Green Ranger.
"And I can go on like this for hours." He says, now sounding like Tommy Oliver before turning to face Rita. "Hello, my empress."
Rita glares at Nero before he slams the symbol again, changing into a woman with brown hair tied in a ponytail. Her outfit consists of a green damaged body armor of some kind and has a golden staff in her hand with a green gem in the center.
"And who is that supposed to be?" Rita asked. She doesn't know why, but she felt a strange connection to this woman.
"Why, this is you Rita. A you who was a Power Ranger but later betrayed Zordon to get her hands on the Zeo Crystal." Nero states, her voice suave and husky. "Hello, handsome." She sends a wink to Lord Zedd.
Zedd blushes at that (How is he blushing? He has no skin) which irritates his wife.
"I think that's enough of a demonstration, but I do have a question though." Nero presses the symbol again and turns back to normal. "Who invited the mystery guy over there?" He points to the cloaked man at the end.
Everyone turns to the dark figure as he tries to make his way out.
What happened next did not surprise Nero.
The villains tried to apprehend him but he was moving too fast for them to catch. Goldar manages to pull back his cloak, revealing himself to be the Red Space Ranger.
"Galaxy Glider!" The Red Ranger calls out and a red glider descends in front of him before quickly jumping into it and flies off. Dark Specter tries to stop him with a lava blast, but the ranger manages to get away. "Yeah!"
"THE SPY KNOWS MY PLAN! HE MUST BE STOPPED!" Dark Specter exclaims.
Divatox steps forward. "Excuse me, your evilness, let me go after him. I assure you, I-AAAAHHHH!" But before she can continue, she is pulled under by Rita.
"Can it, sister! You couldn't catch a cold!" Rita turns to Dark Specter. "Let me go for him, I-" But her mouth is stuffed with an apple courtesy of Divatox.
"Hi." Divatox takes off her cloak, trying (and failing) to look seductive. "Remember me? You remind me so much of my fianceeaaaaAAHHHH!" Her hair is pulled back by Rita.
'This is so hilarious up close.' Nero remarks as he watches the two villainesses fighting each other.
"SILENCE!" Dark Specter roars, causing the two to stop. "Astronema. You will take the Dark Fortress and DESTROY the meddler!"
Nero turns to Dark Specter. "Good choice. But when it comes to Power Rangers there's more than just one." He said. "I would like to join her, with your permission of course."
"Granted." Dark Specter. "But be warned, should you betray me, there will be no place in the universe for you to hide from my wrath."
Nero nods. "I understand, Dark Specter." 'Just you wait, you herpes-riddled fish. I'll kill you and take the throne. But for now, I'll play your game.' He walked towards Astronema. "Come on, your highness. We have a ranger to hunt."
"Heh." Astronema smirks as she, Nero, and her Quantrons teleport off the Cimmerian Planet.
Dark Fortress
The group arrives in the Dark Fortress, Astronema's now main base of operations.
'This is exactly like the set from season 6. Yet everything here has a bit of realism that makes it more genuine.' Nero thought.
"So, what do you think? This is my new base, courtesy of Dark Specter." Astronema says gesturing to the room.
Nero nods. "It looks good, I think I'm gonna like it here."
"Walk with me." Astronema leads Nero to her private quarters before promptly turning to look at him. "Before you showed everyone your watch, I saw you do something with it. Explain what you did."
"So you noticed. I did that to make sure a certain someone didn't find out what I'm fully capable of." I explained.
"What do you mean?" Astronema asked.
"I already knew about the disguised ranger at the party. I had the watch put up a barrier to filter out any information regarding the device. Heck, he didn't even see me transform, he only saw my armor change color." I explained. "And before you ask, the reason I didn't say anything was because I wanted to be dramatic, silly I know."
Astronema looks impressed. "That was smart of you. I'll forgive you this time."
"Oh, but that's not the only trick I have up my sleeve." I activate the Omni Morpher and twist the dial clockwise once and twice counterclockwise. The symbol turns orange as I begin to browse through the forms one at a time. "This will do." I slam the dial and five lights manifest behind me. When the lights fade, Astronema sees the forms of the Turbo Rangers standing behind me.
"You can… make rangers?" A bewildered Astronema asks.
"Yup. And the best part is, they're completely loyal to me." Nero turns to the rangers. "Isn't that right guys?"
"Yes, Master Nero." The Turbo Rangers replied simultaneously.
Just then, Ecliptor walks into the room. "Astronema, we have located a ship orbiting a nearby planet. We believe that's where the spy is."
"Good. Ready my ship. I want to take care of this spy myself." Astronema orders and gives me a quick glance. "Do you want to come with me?"
"Do you really need to ask?" Nero remarks.
Astronema smirks and the two leave the room and quickly make their way towards the hangar.
"That boy… I do not trust him." Ecliptor comments as he notices how close he is to Astronema. "If he hurts her, I will make sure he suffers. Slowly."
We found the ship the spy fled to, which was the Astro Megaship and immediately attacked, causing it to crash onto the nearby planet. Astronema sent a platoon of Quantrons to intercept them, but they were all defeated by Andros and the former Turbo Rangers.
Much like in canon, Andros leaves them on the planet and they are quickly overpowered and captured by the Quantrons and Astronema teleports in front of them.
"So, this is what Power Rangers look like after they lose their powers." Astronema then gags at their current state. "A sorry sight indeed."
"Who are you!?" TJ asks.
"You don't know me?" She asks as she walks forward. "I'm Astronema. Your worst nightmare."
Cassie tries to break free but her struggles only amuse Astronema. "Tell me," she leans forward. "Where did the red ranger go?"
"I will never tell you!" Cassie exclaims.
"Hm." Astronema hums in amusement. "Then I have no use for you." She turns to the rest of the rangers. "Any of you."
"Then perhaps I can lend some assistance."
Astronema smiles as Nero walks towards them. "Be my guest." She takes a step back.
Nero walks up to Cassie and stares down at her. "Where is the red ranger?"
"You'll never find out." Cassie growls.
"Wrong answer." Nero proceeds to punch the former pink ranger in rapid succession before finishing it with a roundhouse kick to the face, sending her flying.
"CASSIE!" The other rangers yell out.
"Leave her alone, you monster!" Ashley screamed.
Astronema smirks at her partner's incredible display of strength.
Nero walks to Cassie and grabs her by the hair. "Last chance," he raises Cassie to meet his face. "Where. Is. The. Red. Ranger?"
However, just as Cassie was about to say something, the Astro Megaship lands in front of them and Andros uses a stun gun to stun the Quantrons holding the rangers.
"Well I'll be…" Nero mutters before Cassie elbows him in the gut and his grip loosens long enough to get out.
Andros runs towards the group and hands them the Space Morphers. "Follow my lead."
"Alright, let's rocket!" They open the numerical pad on the device before inputting a code.
"3-3-5"
The group is instantly transformed into the Space Rangers, which surprises Astronema.
"Cool blue and the Power Rangers are back!" TJ cheers.
"This is awesome!" Ashley adds as they all get into position.
"Red!"
"Blue!"
"Yellow!
"Pink!"
"Black!"
The Quantrons fight the rangers, but they make quick work of them with their new weapons.
Astronema glares at the rangers as Nero walks up beside her. "We should return to the ship."
Astronema hums in agreement and they are both teleported onto her battleship. Not long after, their radar picks up the Astro Megaship, already off the planet and in hot pursuit of them.
"Fire!" Astronema orders and ship fires at them. However, the rangers soon retaliate and fire their own lasers at us.
"Ah!" The explosion causes Astronema to lose her footing and land on Nero's chest. She looks up at the armored man and immediately pushes him back just to see the megaship transform into the Astro Megazord.
"We better get out of here. Those rangers have us outmatched." Nero suggested.
Astronema huffs and everyone teleports out just as the Astro Megazord strikes down on the ship with its saber destroying it.
Dark Fortress
Astronema and Nero teleport back into the control room as Ecliptor quickly makes his way to Astronema.
"Astronema. Are you alright!?" Ecliptor asks.
"I'm fine, Ecliptor, but those rangers proved more resourceful than I thought." Astronema told him. "Next time, I'll be ready for them… and they won't see it coming."
Nero looks at the computer monitor. "According to the scans, it seems the rangers are heading towards Earth. Most likely to get supplies to fix the ship."
"So, they're heading to Earth? Good." Astronema smirks. "Follow them. We'll burn that planet to ash if we have to."
"And I think I know just HOW to do it." Nero says as he reveals his Omni Morpher to Astronema and she smiles.

So, I decided to get this idea out of my head. It is my first time writing a story that didn't revolve around anime so I didn't know what to expect. I've had this idea for about two weeks now, and just decided to write it down.
The death of a childhood hero can affect us all in different ways, and in this case, it motivated me to write a Power Rangers story.
But anyways, this is just a one-shot to a potential story I might explore more upon, but that's up in the air right now. But what do you guys think of this? Should I expand upon it or throw it in the dumpster? I'll let everyone decide.
