Chapter 2: Preparation

Thank you for the comments on the first chapter. I'll admit I'm a bit rusty so any criticism is appreciated. Now on to this chapter. Disclaimer bleach isn't mine. Please support the official release.

Four years later.

Urahara training underground

We find ourselves with a young boy that is six years of age with his parents. The three of them are sitting and meditating. This is Ichigo and his parents. Isshin opens his eyes and begins to speak. "Ichigo it looks like you have managed to control more of your reiatsu. I'm truly proud on how far you've come." Says Isshin happily.

"It really does surprise me that your hollow is actually helping you, and is caring about your growth. I can't help but wonder why though." Says Masaki.

Ichigo couldn't help but tilt his head as he heard a voice in his head. "Hey Ichigo tell your mom its because you're a better partner than she is." says his inner hollow. Ichigo gives a nod and begins to tell his mom. "What do you mean by that you stupid hollow!" Says Masaki as she grabs Ichigos ear yelling into it. As Ichigo shudders, he can barely hear his dads laughter due to his misfortune.

"Ah I see your reiatsu control training has ended today. Are you ready for your kido training?" Says the man. Young Ichigo turns to see another one of his mentors. This mans name is Tessai Tsukabishi. He stands at 6'7 with a muscular build, with lightly tanned skin. His hair is cornrowed and he has a handlebar mustache. He is wearing a pair of rectangle shaped glasses, with a white muscle shirt, regular pants and a blue apron.

"Hello Tessai sensei. Yes I'm ready, I've managed to control more." Says Ichigo eagerly. Tessai smirks as he begins to speak. "Very well young Ichigo. Where would you like to begin today?" Ichigo thinks for a brief moment and begins. "Can we start with Hado 33 sensei?"

"Very well lets begin with the incantation. Do you remember it?" Asks Tessai. "Yes I do sensei" says Ichigo. "Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws" Hado 33 sōkatsui! As Ichigo finished the incantation blue energy built up and shot from his hands. As it was about to hit a stone wall Ichigo noticed that something else made contact. When the dust settled Ichigo seen a hand stretched out and then noticed who it belonged to. Grandpa Yama! Ichigo shouted to the man he seen as his grandfather. Yamamoto begins to laugh as he see little Ichigo running to him. The old head captain thinks to himself "my grandson you will make a fine captain one day and I look forward to seeing the path you pave for yourself."

"Grandpa Yama! Are you ok?" Ichigo asks worriedly. "Hahaha yes my boy I'm fine. That was excellent, I couldn't have done better myself!" Yamamoto exclaimed. Ichigo looks at Yamamoto with a smile as as he bows to him. "Thank you grandfather. I'm working extra hard so I can join everyone in protecting the innocent" ichigo says with a smile. "I can tell. I'd say you're on the level of a fifth seat going on fourth. Keep up your hard work and one day you'll be leading your own men and women in no time" Yamamoto said happily.

"Hello head captain how are you today" asks Tessai. I'm doing great, in fact I need to speak to everyone" say's Yamamoto. Tessai nodded as he gathered everyone for a meeting.

Living space of the Urahara shop

"Hello old man is everything ok?" asks Isshin. Yamamoto begins to explain how seireitei has changed a bit. "Retsu has been completely busy learning everything that the humans have succeeded in the medical field. She even found a possible cure for captain Ukitake." Yamamoto say's happily. "That is truly amazing news" says Kisuke. Yamamoto nodded and continues. "Yes it is. Now on the main matter. We have constantly monitored the traitors and so far it seems they haven't noticed our efforts."

"Be on the side of caution. He managed to trick everyone for a century. We also can't forget about the captains that's under him" says Isshin.

"You're completely right Aizen, Tōsen, and Kurotsuchi with his lieutenant. After all is said and done we are going to need to interrogate their lieutenants as well to make sure" says Yamamoto.

As they were talking the door slid open. Yoruichi came in with a young girl in front of her with green hair, hazel eyes and she wore a green dress. "Hey everyone how are you guys doing?"

Everyone looked puzzled as they looked from yoruichi to the young girl. Yoruichi noticed and began to introduce her friends to the young girl. "Allow me to introduce Nelliel Shihouin my adopted sister." Everyone looked a bit shocked and curious. Even the head captain didn't hear about there being an adoptive sibling to the royal family. "Oh my she is just to adorable. Would she like to meet my son and see if they get along?" Asked Masaki.

"I think that is a great idea." Yoruichi looks at her sister with a smile hoping that she can later tease the two kids. "Nelliel would you like to meet another kid and play?" Nelliel nods her head in a shy manner. "Yes please I would enjoy that." The two of them headed to the training underground. Where little did Nelliel know she would meet the young boy she would want to be with.

Back at the underground training.

Ichigo was sweating and panting heavily, as he tried to recompose himself his sensei begins to speak. "That was very good Ichigo. You almost made it to level 50 kido, I'm truly proud of you." Says Tessai happily. "Thank you Tessai sensei. It is because of your training that I am closer to protecting my family." Says Ichigo while catching his breath.

"Hey Ichigo i brought someone for you to meet and play with." Ichigo turns to see Yoruichi with a young girl that looks to be around his age. Ichigo walks up and bows to Yoruichi before turning to the young girl with a smile and begins to speak. "Hello I'm Ichigo it's nice to meet you."

"H...hi I'm Nelliel, it's nice to meet you too" she said shyly. Ichigo smiled at her thinking to himself how adorable she is. Yoruichi notices the look on his face as she smirks, and begins thinking to herself. "These two might just be a power couple after all hehe."

"So Ichigo how's your training going?" "I've almost got to level 50 kido Yoruichi sensei" says Ichigo happily. "Wow that is truly amazing. You'll be a master in no time. Perhaps I need to increase our flash step training" Yoruichi says with an mischievous smirk. Ichigo paled as he knew his sensei would tease him every time she caught him.

"Sensei you don't have to that" Ichigo deadpanned. Yoruichi starts laughing as she begins to tease her student. "But Ichigo think of all the fun we could have. Are you really going to mistreat your beloved sensei like that."

"Lets start our race sensei. This time I will beat you" says ichigo. Yoruichi smirks as she knows that her student is falling for her trap. She looks over to Nelliel and begins to speak. "Listen little nel I want you to wait over at the finish line." Nelliel nods her head without a word and begins to head over. Ichigo and Yoruichi get into position and prepare for their race. "Now Ichigo remember the rule if I lap you the race is finished." Ichigo looks over at his sensei and wonders what she is scheming, but ultimately give into his training. With a nod of his head they start to take off with their flash step.

After five minutes Ichigo sees the finish line but doesn't see his dark skinned sensei. As he thought he was going to make it. He feels a hand on his back and a whispered voice in his ear. "You loose my strawberry." Ichigo feels himself being launched across the trading grounds. Before he noticed he felt something soft beneath him instead of the hard floor. He notices that there is also a soft feeling on his lips, as he opens his eyes he notices green hair. He looks down and see's Nelliel and begins to panic. He backs up off of her in hysterics as he heard laughter coming from his right. As he turns his head his worst fears were realized. His father was holding a camera and his mother just had stars in her eyes.

"Good job son I'm so proud of you and I even got it on camera" said Isshin. "Aw look how adorable they both are. Looks like our son found his love" said Masaki. Ichigo face planted to the ground at his parents antics. He looks over at Nelliel and begins to apologize. "I'm sorry Nelliel, are you ok?"

Nelliel looks at him as she blushes and begins speaking. "Um it...its ok. I...Ichigo you can call me Nel" she says timidly. Ichigo looks a little concerned as he nods his head in agreement. "Okay nel." As the both of them of them were blushing they hear laughter to their side. They already know its their family and their friends. Still yet they look at the collected group.

Yoruichi had a glint in her eye as she got an idea to see if the two young kids would grow closer, and to perhaps tease the two later. "Hey I have an idea how about Ichigo and Nel start training together. It could be beneficial to the both of them."

As the others thought about it they all agreed. As such Ichigo and Nel started training together. While in the coming months it was obvious to their teachers that Nel specialized in kido, hoho, and zanjutsu. While Ichigo specialized in hakuda, hoho, and zanjutsu. The two of them were given the same training but nel did have trouble with hakuda and Ichigo was ok with kido but preferred the physical attributes of the shinigami. But if you put the two together they make a perfect combination and they make up each other's weaknesses. Little did they know the next three years their teachers would push them much further. Like all their training however they stepped up to the challenge.

Three years later at the Kurosaki homestead.

We see Ichigo now nine years old. He is now 5 feet tall with medium length spiky hair. He is currently meditating when he sensed his parents. "Mom, dad is everything ok?"

"Listen Ichigo, I'll be fighting some powerful enemies soon. I'll be leaving shortly to help Yamamoto. You and your mom will be staying with Kisuke and Yoruichi Nel will be there to. In a few days we will be moving to the soul society and there we will meet up with more of our family. A lot of things will change son. Are you up for it?" As isshin looks at his son worried Ichigo just smiles back. "You don't have to worry dad you can count on me. Go take care of business and protect the innocent souls from the bad guys."

Isshin looks to masaki and they both smiled. The family hugs each other before departing for the Urahara shop.

Basement of the shop.

Isshin stands in front of a portal made by Kisuke. "Alright listen Isshin head captain already knows you're on your way. You're to go straight to squad one's barracks. There you will meet up with some captains and lieutenants. We've discovered that they will be in central 46 chambers. Four captains and one lieutenant with only one being a double agent. The captains and lieutenants that will be facing the group has been made aware of every ability that is known about them. Still yet I would be on the side of caution. Head captain even asked me if I would reach out to some old friends of ours." Isshins eyes widened when he realized the head captain is asking help from everyone with this.

"Kisuke how many of them are coming and where are they now."

"Well only one is answering the call. The others will stay behind and will deal with any hollows that show up.

Isshin looks at Kisuke with a knowing look. "It's Shinji isn't it?"

Kisuke nods his head and from there Isshin looks at his wife and smiles. Masaki looks at her husband and shakes her head. "Take care of your business my darling and come back to us we will be ready to come to the soul society."

Isshin hugs his wife and turns to enter the gateway. His only thought is how many loses will there be when the battle happens.

Head captains office.

"Listen to me captain Unohana prepare squad four for injuries and for potential casualties. Captain Kyoraku, captain Kuchiki, captain Hitsugaya, captain Sui-Feng the four of you with your lieutenants will be joined by two others to either kill or apprehend the traitors."

"Who are the other two that will be joining us?" Asked Sui-Feng with fierce curiosity.

As she asked that they all felt two spiritual pressures enter the room. They all turned to see two people none of them thought they'd see again.

"There is your answer captain Sui-Feng. Former captain Shinji Hirako, former captain Isshin Shiba welcome home." Said Yamamoto.

The two men bowed to the head captain and thanked him for the welcome back. Isshin looked over and seen his former third seat now captain and smiled at him. Captain Hitsugaya couldn't believe he was seeing his former captain again.

"Reunions will have to wait for later. Currently Aizen and his followers are at central 46. We need to strike while the iron is hot. Remember his zanpakuto is an illusion type, powerful enough to control all five senses." As Shinji relayed the information he knew the others couldn't believe that this man did so much evil under their noses that they just felt ashamed and angry.

Yamamoto slammed his cane to the ground and began to speak. "As you all know your mission is to either kill or apprehend. Be cautious when facing this group for we don't know what else they are hiding. If you need and backup raise your spiritual pressure to the absolute limits and the rest of the captains will come running. Now go and best of luck."

With that the group departed for central 46 all with the thought. It's time to put an end to the mad mans schemes.
