UA, Meeting Room.

"I'm not signing that." Bang placed the letter above the desk, "There's no way am I going to send my students rushing into the battlefield like an expendable machine."

The letter in question stated the following:

'Those who enlisted as a hero course student of the UA faculty, Class 1-A and above, are given the rights and the obligation to receive their due Pro-Licenses after a month or two of attending it's educational activities.

The Principal will be required to sign and agree on this new term. Failure to comply will result in the shutdown of this school.'

"It's illogical on their end," Aizawa chimed in, "Whatever the Hero Commission is trying to do, it won't work in the long run. All they will be doing is waste their resource for a good and polished aspiring pro-heroes."

"But we got no choice, don't we?" A man with a spiked blond hair pointed out, "If we don't do this, they'll shut our school down."

"Our students are not soldiers." Silverfang replied in indignation, "For all we know, those hero commission might be planning something even more ugly."

"Like the 'I'm gonna kidnap these kids and turn them into mindless soldiers' kind of ugly?" A woman with flourishing purple hair and a pair of white eye covers mouthed.

"Want my input on all of this?" Another voice came in.

All the attendants in the room shifted their attention to a certain man with two protruding tufts from his blond hair.

"Wait, are assistants even allowed to attend a meeting strictly for teachers?" Present Mic deadpanned.

"Eh, the principal allowed it.—" Yagi replied, "—Now back to what I was saying, so, you all are nervous about sending these kids to fight a battle they aren't meant to face yet, right?"

The teachers nodded.

"Just sign it."

"WHAT?!" All the teachers screamed in disagreement.

"Look, before you throw a bunch of vulgar insults my way, I got an idea in mind. This school needs a new system." Yagi explained, "A system that can keep those kids in check, and I don't mean in the stalking way."

"What are you proposing, Yagi-san?" Silverfang asked, curious as to how Yagi will provide his solution.

"You know the thing where students live in one, big house where there's these bunch of rooms, and then the teacher has his own separate room?" Yagi rubbed his forehead, seemingly in deep thought, before speaking again, "Oh! It's called a School Dorm."

"We need budget for that." Present Mic spoke.

"Budget isn't an issue." Silverfang cut the thought off, "I will take your input into consideration, but what does this term entail exactly?"

"If the homeroom teachers and the students share the same house, it'll be easier for us to moderate the students from acting reckless in case they do receive their pro-licenses." Yagi explained, "The Commission may have the right to officially label these brats as legitimate Pro-Heroes, but they have to know as well that said students are still under the guidance of UA."

"Basically you're saying..." Aizawa turned his head over to Yagi, eyeing him carefully, "They're pro-heroes with a few restrictions."

"That's one way of putting it, yes." Yagi nodded.

"Hm." Aizawa then continued, "That could work. But we could look for a more efficient way to counteract this. Maybe we could try enforcing a new policy. If they become a pro-hero, we should make a few ground rules that are mandatory for them to follow. The consequence of breaking the rule is an immediate expulsion."

"It doesn't matter if we expell them," A man with a snake-themed leathered suit spoke up, "I've seen how the Commission works at first hand. They have eyes everywhere. There's a potential for a confidential abduction plan."

"Abduction? The Commission will go that far?!"

"The Commission has some sort of secret weapon up their sleeves. Multiple of them, in fact." Snek explained, "Most of them, if not all, are taken forcefully from their daily lives."

"So the proper solution is to apply a dorm system to our school, is that right?" Aizawa leaned his head, staring at the ceiling, rubbing the ache away in his head, "I should've picked a different career."

"The Hero Commission is greatly corrupted and we can't deny that. The only thing we can do is to make do with what we have. Now, Yagi's proposition is the most sensible solution out of all of ours." Silverfang's eyes landed on Yagi, "Thank you for your input, Yagi-san."

"No probs." Yagi stood up, "Now if you excuse me, I gotta stuff my mouth with a few meals. I'm starving." He said as he casually strolled to the exit door. The room was silent as the door closed with a swift slam.

"He said that so casually." Vlad King commented.

"Now that's all said and done," Bang clasped his hands, resting both of his elbows above the desk, "There's still one issue. How will we implement this system?"

...

Fuck.

Fuck.

FUCK!

"Don't tell me Izuku's applying for this school..." Yagi slapped his forehead. Of course he did. He likes to aim high!

"Man, how am I going to convince him to take a step back.." Yagi wondered to himself.

He opened his phone, only to see an unread message from a number he knew.

'Jima'.

"Oh, he came home. Cool." Yagi pressed the sleep button, before pocketing his phone again.

His heart was still pounding. The Hero Commission and it's recklessness, the way they implement this outrageous policy, he can't just let Izuku dive head first into the world of hero society where the one's in charge are super duper fucking corrupted.

He can't just let these government ass-lickers take Izuku away and turn him into a child soldier! No way!

He'll keep a close eye on him. Being considered as an overprotective weirdo? To hell with that! The possibility of the kid hating him and consider him as a failure excuse for a mentor figure?

He doesn't give a shit.

As long as the kid's safe...

That's all that matters.

Wait a minute...

"Why the hell am I thinking like this?" Yagi shook his head, as he sat down at the corner of the school's canteen, "Gotta give the brat's a call. He's probably busy, but fuck it."

He pressed the call button, as a ringtone played from his phone.

When the other party answered..

"Sensei?" A voice came out of the phone.

"Yo, Izuku, am I interrupting you right now?" Yagi asked.

"No, no, I'm just sitting around in the canteen with Jirou. We're having an early lunch break." Izuku replied from the phone.

"Ah well... how's things in school?"

"It's going good as usual. Well, except for Kacchan's not-so-appeasing attitude and his constant threats to kill us."

Yagi winced at hearing that, "Hm. Maybe we should arrange a meeting with this 'Kacchan' you kept on talking about."

"For what?"

"To 'Plus Ultra' him straight into an endless orbit." Yagi replied with a flat tone.

"Sensei, that's not necessary."

"Hey, I'm sure the kid likes the prospect of going into space, plus, I'm giving him a free ride!" Yagi protested, "Pretty sure he's the sight-seeing type."

Izuku took this offer into account, "Sensei! If you wish to give him a free ride, then I will allow-"

"No, I'm joking. I'm not a murderer, idiot." Yagi sighed.

This caused a silence between them for a few seconds, before Yagi finally opened his mouth, "Kid, there's...something that's eating away at my mind right now, and I prefer if we...talk this out after training."

"We can talk about it right now."

"No. You have school. I'm not fucking up your chances of having a good future over a measly talking session. I'm just saying..something is bothering me and..you know..but I can ask you one question." Yagi took a deep breath, before asking, "You still want to be a hero?"

"Sensei, what kind of question is that?"

"Dunno. Figured if I ask, you'd change your mind." Yagi shrugged.

Silence was brought over the line. This continued for a few seconds. Yagi's dreary feelings are starting to grow, and he wondered if the kid-

"Sensei, do you not wish to be my teacher anymore?" He finally asked.

Yagi's heart dropped at the question, "W- what? Kid, no, that's not what I meant."

"Does my presence causes you anguish? Discomfort? If so..."

Yagi's starting to hate himself for causing this. Fuck, now the kid's having his insecurity phase again. What's he supposed to do?

"No, no, no, don't make me come over there and give you a good slap." Yagi said frantically, "You know that's not what I meant."

"Then what did you mean?" Izuku asked once more, pressing into the matter even more.

"As I said, I never intend to let go of our current pupil-to-teacher relationship, but..kid, we can talk about this later, okay? I promise."

"...Okay, if you say so, Sensei."

Yagi sighed, "Good luck with your school." He said as he pressed the end call button.

Why was he stressing himself so much over one single brat?

...Later...

Izuku felt the liquid matter flowing out of his sweat glands soaking his clothes, followed by a throbbing pain from his biceps. He was tired. Very tired. But he could tell that it was worth it.

Standing up, Yagi offered him a bottle. He accepted it, before downing all the contents inside it.

As he closed the cover of the bottle, he sat down, trying to rest on the grass below, "Sensei...what did you mean when you asked if I still want to be...?" He couldn't finish the sentence. It still hurt to say it. He had this one feeling in his guts, that his Sensei didn't want him anymore, or for him to stick around in his residue.

Yagi sat down along with Izuku, before replying to him with another question..

"If it comes to it, if you're forced to be a pro-hero at a young age...would you comply?" Yagi asked.

Izuku eyed him, "...I would."

Now that's what made Yagi's entire world crumpled into a lump of endless anxieties. The kid say yes. To a fucking lifestyle that he should've never been forced to endure at a young age, especially being the reckless idiot he is.

"That's...surprising, considering that you're a teenager and-"

"I've always wanted to be a hero."

Yagi's intense stare continued again, "Even if it means risking your life?"

"...yes.."

"Izuku!" Yagi yelled, "You can't be serious with your decision."

"I am dead serious, Sensei." Izuku replied with a stern tone.

"Listen, being a hero is not a one-time trip to the most exclusive, luxurious five-star hotel, no, it's a matter of life and death. Pro-heroes risk their lives everyday, and some of them dies, don't treat this like a game!"

"What made you think I'm treating this career lightly, Sensei? I know the risks!"

"I know you do, but at least..." Yagi exhaled in distress, "At least do it when you're old enough."

"Do you think I'm weak, Sensei?"

"No, of course not! That's not what I'm saying!" Yagi tried to reassure Izuku, but his temper is rising that he couldn't just do it gently anymore. This kid's stubborn, and he can't ever hope to get through that thick head of his, "Your willpower is admirable, kid, and I'm willing to admit that that kind of thing will get you somewhere, but your recklessness isn't something that you should follow through with!"

"No, you just think I'm weak.."

"Brat, no. Stop putting words into my mouth." Yagi sternly corrected him.

Izuku's shoulders slumped slightly, as he stood up, "You're right, I.. I'm not thinking this through."

Guilt gnawed in Yagi's heart, as he stood up, gently and awkwardly patting the boy in the back, "Sorry. For yelling. But someone's gotta keep you in your best interest."

"I understand, Sensei. Thank you. I will treasure your concern forever."

"Huh, oh, well, you're...welcome." Yagi replied.

Izuku leaned to Yagi's chest, "I really meant it when I said I was going to follow you, no matter what."

"Guess..." Yagi wrapped his arms around the younger boy, "Guess the feeling's mutual. I mean, I'm kinda used to you being here. I don't know what I'll do if you..."

He shook the thought off, "Forget it. Don't want to get too sappy."

"You're the best teacher ever." Izuku complimented his Sensei.

And he didn't expect the words that comes along next.

"And you're the best darn student I could ever ask for."

Then, the Midoriya waterworks came along.

God dammit, he really shouldn't have said that.
