...
Tatsumaki felt the blood gushing out of her forehead, trying her best to replenish her strength. But she had no means to do so. The fact that the opposing force has still some of her strength remaining, all the while she's completely stripped of all the power she needed to repel said opposing force..
She hated to admit, but she needed help.
Izuku jumped to her side, landing on the floating debris besides her, "Can you still fight?!"
"Who do you think..." She coughed a little, her eyes struggled to keep itself opened, "... you're talking to?"
"...You don't want to admit it, but you can't keep going on."
"I can! Mind your own business!" Tatsumaki scowled, forcing her quirk to envelope her, "This bitch is no pushover, I can-"
The quirk dissipated again, and her mouth bursted with blood spluttering out of it, "F- Fuck!"
"I can't believe you would resort to such...brutal tactics." Psykos lamented, hot, crimson liquid seeping out of her lips, the root extending from the ground twisted into a spiral shape, "But you've ran out of juice, as it seems."
I've got to...stall for time, the process to detach myself from the roots would..take quite a while.
She chuckled, "What a monster you've grown into. How long have we been apart from each other?"
"Not like it matters."
"It does, though. There seems to be a vast gap between your retrieved memory and your lost ones." Psykos said, "It's far more nuanced than just a mere Alzheimer's disease, don't you think?"
Tatsumaki didn't respond. She was bewildered on what point this asshole was trying to get across.
"And this...person that you love, was it? What do you remember about him?"
Tatsumaki, for the time being, wasn't phased by the question. It could be a person that wasn't relevant enough for her to remember, seeing how the only people that she seems to remember was only her sister, and her...surrogate maternal figure.
"And you ask this, because?"
"Come now, darling, what mother wouldn't be invested in their daughter's love affairs? It truly fascinates me, the human ability to love and care despite their flaws." Psykos said, "While, at certain point, it's sickening."
"Tatsumaki," Izuku's head shook, "Don't indulge her. She's just-"
"Wait." Tatsumaki's form levitated in the air, disregarding the throbbing pain that comes with it, "You say these as if you were there before I forgot."
...
"You...were there, were you?"
"...What say you, if I were to be the catalyst behind your memory shortage?" Psykos's lips curled.
"...you were-?!"
And in that instance, Psykos detached herself from her roots, her body shaped into the form of a fighter jet, taking off to the skies filled with the swirling cloud.
"Damn you!" Tatsumaki cursed, forcing her quirk to sprung forward, only to realize that it's futile, "FUCK!"
She couldn't exert herself even further. She was stripped of the necessary strength to bring her quirk forward. Now the woman that could be the answer to all her issues..
Got away. All because she let her emotions get the better of her.
"Senritsu-san," Izuku said, his face contorting into an apologetic expression, "Let's get you to the ground."
"Sur-" Tatsumaki's eyes widened in realisation, "Wait... you're that kid I met months ago...the one with.."
"It's best if we don't think about it, you're exhausted."
"..heh, tell me about it." Tatsumaki's eyes peeled on the destruction around her, "...guess it did take a toll on me."
"Do you mind if I carry you back to the ground?" Izuku asked.
"I don't care." Tatsumaki sighed, "Do whatever you want, I just..want to find my sister."
"We'll find her. I'm sure she's around this vicinity." Izuku said as his arms slouched forward, slipping them between her armpits and her legs, "Apologies." as he carried her back down into the ground.
But then, as they landed on the ground..
They were greeted with the sight of Metal Bat fending off seven figures all by himself, all the while five injured heroes were laying on the ground.
...
Getting thrown back into his much more, musty and dirtied bedroom wasn't the best experience that he could ever think of. That Blast guy really didn't put much thought into where he was going to teleport them to, but the coincidence itself makes up for the hassle.
But it gets better once he sees that his outfit came out unscathed of all the chaos that ensued on the surface in his absence.
Putting on the yellow jumpsuit, stretching the flexible fabric of his red gloves as he put them on, he walked out of the inn, to be greeted with the sight of the buildings in ruins and..
Dead people and wrecked cars.
"What..." Yagi said to himself, "What the hell happened back on the surface while I was gone?"
He picked his phone, before seeing the abundance of missed calls and a couple of unread messages.
Fuck.
He really shouldn't have left his phone laying around in a stupid Inn. He must've gotten a few worried calls-
Worried calls.
"Izuku!" Yagi quickly scrolled to find the messaging apps, only to see that Izuku has sent over-
"One hundred fucking unread messages?!" Yagi screamed, "Kid, you really are that worried about me?"
But once he saw the content of his messages, that's when everything changed.
That's when flattery turned into horror.
At first, it was just Izuku asking him about his whereabouts. But as he scrolled further down, it delves into a series of questions, and one caught his attention the most.
Izuku:
08:20 AM:
Sensei.
Izuku:
08:21 AM:
A couple of workers from the headquarters came to my class.
"...what?"
Izuku:
08:22 AM:
I'm with them at the moment, but I require your input. Am I doing the right thing? They asked me to assist them in their efforts to rescue an abducted kid from the Monster Association's grip, and since they very much lacked in manpower...
The word 'Monster Association' alone gave Yagi an idea where Izuku might be right now.
Brat, you better pray that I'm wrong, because if you were here the whole time, I'm gonna...
...
No words came into his mind. He was too divulged in his frantic mind, full of possibilities, possibilities that he might find the corpse of Izuku somewhere around this city.
The thought in itself was alarming.
Izuku:
08:24 AM:
I know you're not going to be on board with my decision, but putting your personal feelings aside...do you think I'm doing the right thing?
WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT?!
Yagi's grip fractured the phone's screen, his gaze sharpened on the road ahead. He needed to get back to the area where the Monster Rehabilitation Department tower resides.
But the problem is, the city has been reduced into something unrecognisable, what with all these messed up buildings laying around everywhere.
He can't distinguish anything, nor can he identitfy the area that he was in. He was left with only his hero intuition, if he could even call it that.
With a sprint, he left a gust of wind wildly breezing backwards, destroying whatever's left at his backside.
...
It felt like he was witnessing the epiphany of a higher existence. What once was a tiny, black creature, is now a creature riddled with mountains of muscles, atop his refined stature.
Metal Bat tightened his iron grip on his bat, wiping the blood streaming down the cut on his right cheek.
"Ya think a quick morphing would deter my resolve, you freak of nature!?" Metal Bat screamed, "BRING IT O-"
He was cut short when a fist made impact with his face, catapulting through several sections of the area.
Recovering, he could feel the blood seeping out of the cut in his cheek.
He could feel a foot stepping forward besides him. In each side, he could see Midoriya and..
"Tatsu..."
"Hmph." Tatsumaki crossed her arms, "You couldn't handle a few ants. What a shame. Why are you even a hero?"
"No need to be an ass about it! I held my own just fine!"
"Senritsu-san, there is no need for unnecessary hostility in a battle such as this one. Remember, segregation-"
"TRY TO CATCH UP!" Tatsumaki rushed forward, her aura blaring brightly, obscuring the view ahead.
"... she's a pain in the ass." Metal Bat sighed, as he walked forward, "You go take care of that cat over there, while I go deal with mister ugly on the left."
"Right." Izuku went to the right, his fist cocked back, but then..
A spiral of black organisms emerged from the ground, acting as a barricade, "Ya think yer going through me, brat?"
Izuku crouched, before going to the right, "Not if I go there, fast eno-"
"NOT FAST ENOUGH!" The black organisms adhered Izuku's velocity, slamming his cultivated fist into him, who responded with blocking the attack with both his arms, sliding backwards against the ground.
Nyan jumped overhead, his claws tracted onwards, "I'LL HAVE FUN DISMANTLING YOU, VERMIN!"
Izuku kept alert, as he dodged each of the attacks relatively ease due to his abnormal reactive speed. Refining the output of his strength, his clenched his fists hard enough for it to form shockwaves.
He used his wrist to block the incoming motion from Nyan's arms, deflecting his own attack towards his own face, slashing a small portion of his flesh.
"AHHH! YOU LITTLE-!" Izuku didn't waste no time as he twisted his hip and slammed the villain with his foot downwards, jumping high enough to gain some momentum behind his fist.
As his fist clashed hard enough into the ground where the monster laid, it sent him barreling through the floor, leaving no trace of him ever being there.
"You're ruthless, kid," The tremendously large black organism complimented with a wry contortion in his expression, "Strong even. I could say that your strength alone is enough to wipe out a massive portion of a metropolitan area. An impressive display of power."
"Which is why..." The black organisms rushed forward, dividing into multiple cells from every directions, "Which is why YOUR DISPOSAL FROM THIS BATTLEFIELD IS IMMINENT!"
Izuku's eyes sharpened, focusing on the opposing forces, avoiding every single one of their relentless, coordinative attacks.
"AN IMMEASURABLE NUMBER OF MY CELLS, AGAINST AN ARROGANT, SINGLE INDIVIDUAL! I WONDER WHO WOULD COME OUT ON TOP, HM?!" The Black Sperms all said in unision.
Izuku remained silent, focusing on how to overwhelm them.
He decided to gain some distance from them, hopping backwards as each of them hulled themselves straight into the floor like a homing missiles, exploding as Izuku was barely grazed from each impact.
These cells, they are immeasurable in number, he say...
Izuku kept on hopping from one point to another.
From a tactical standpoint, it's a necessity to fall back,
but immeasurable on the surface,
doesn't inherently mean it's immeasurable in it's nature.
All I have to do..
Is find an opening and lead these cells into something that could incinerate them all at once.
Palpable adrenaline shot coursed through him, and when the Black Sperms cornered him in a circular manner, Izuku spun around ever-so violently, that the wind were affected by the motion of his body around, viciously forming a swirl of tornado around his area.
As the wind dissipated while the cells were thrown away in the process, Izuku appeared with his fist pulled back, preparing to strike the ground.
When his fist made contact, multiple, sharp points of a rubble sprung forward, impaling some of the cells in a brutal manner, blood spluttering out of their tiny bodies.
"What the fu-"
The last one was impaled as well, as the life were drained out of it.
"This...this one is stone-cold! We...We should fall back!"
Izuku's eyes shimmered with determination, his fists clenched, steam emitting out of each of them.
"Assuming that we fall back and it works, who's to say that this guy... wouldn't annihilate the rest of the Cadre's?!"
"Who cares?! It's not like he'll beat our infused form!"
"Infused form, hm?" Izuku uttered the word in intrigue.
The cells were ubiquitous, but their resolve was lacking. Izuku found it amusing, how they were boastful at the start, only for them to get humbled.
"Let's just wear him out until he can no longer move!"
"Yeah, bring it in!"
The cells charged at the kid once again, their resolve never wavering.
But then, a blur descended from the sky, hitting the ground with an impact that caused a shockwave that travelled throughout the arena.
Izuku's eyes slowly opened, only to see the form..
Of the principal.
"Silverfan-"
"What are you doing in here?" Bang's gaze never left Izuku as he spoke, "Going into a territory that you know very well don't belong in."
"Takehiko-san, I-"
"I don't need to hear it. Shimura! Get this boy away from here." Bang ordered for someone from behind.
"Kid, you know the rules."
"But I can-"
"-not fight. End of discussion." Nana finished for him, "I got a lot of baggage to take care of, so you'll need to follow my directions. You're lucky that the principal glossed over the fact that you broke every single rule in the book, and didn't even consider to expell you on the spot."
...
"Shimura-"
"No."
"Please."
"If you keep resisting, I'm calling Toshi."
"He isn't -"
"He's here."
"Here- What?!"
Izuku's mouth was left agape, "He..he was here..the whole time?"
"Snuck his way around the Monster Association's base, yeah. I don't know about his current whereabouts, but if I were a betting woman, he's still stuck underground."
"Then I must-"
"Kid. No, he can handle himself."
"But what if he can't?"
"Then we're fucked. Simply as that. If anything could even graze him in the slightest, there's no telling what would happen if that kind of threat decided to keep it's eyes peeled for us." Nana retorted, "I don't have all day, let's go."
Izuku tried to think of words to persuade the older woman, but he couldn't seem to muster it.
Another set of hands placed itself on his shoulder.
It was Torino Sorahiko.
"She's reasonable for once, so you gotta hear it from her." He said, earning a glare from the woman for all his troubles.
"I'm not that bad." Nana shrugged, turning her attention back to Izuku, "Anyway, 'Zuku, let's get you to the nearest train station and set a route to Mustafu."
"HAH! Not so fast!" A beam was headed straight towards them, barreling through the thick fog, and when it reached their proximity...
Izuku quickly pushed both of the heroes away and deflected it with a swift motion of his hand, hurling towards an area that was far away from them.
Wasting no time to say anything else, Homeless Emperor's arms bursted with multiple energy beams, aimed to incapacitate the seemingly enigmatic teen in front of him, "PERISH, UNRULY CHILD!"
"Not if I can help it." Nana took a step in front of Izuku and used a cultivated force of the quirk stockpiled within her fist to disperse the beams away with a single punch.
As the beams were negated, blood began to seep out of her very bruised knuckles.
"Wait-!" Sorahiko tried to rush to her aid, only for a beam to intercept the path in front of him, creating an enormous crater in front of him.
"Very heroic, and simple-minded." Homeless Emperor slyly curled his lips, "The power within that brat is greater than any type of quirks that humanity could ever muster. One who broke through their limiters, or at the very least, reaching the surface, are exceptional individuals. Which is why I must carry out my duty and eliminate you."
"Eliminate me?" Izuku reiterated, confidence radiating off of him, "I'm assuming you know of the person besides me that broke through his limiter."
"More than you know." Homeless Emperor said with utter disdain, "He's the epitome of arrogance, a man so powerful, yet dense man, who thought hiding in plain sight and fooling around would save him from the feeling of impending shame that will plague him for the past sins he's committed!"
"Oh?"
"He is the abominable fist that turned against God, he is a threat beyond even you yourself!" Homeless Emperor declared, "And I will stop at nothing until I gain enough strength to overcome him!"
"Quite the bold words," Torino said, "But you can't hope to beat Toshinori if you can't even beat the three of us."
"Ho," Homeless Emperor barked out a laughter, "You think that alone was the fullest extent of my boundless divine power? The immense energy stored inside of me is beyond what any quirks could possibly ever hope to reach. An immeasurable mountain that no other power, neither quirks could ever to climb! With the flick of a finger, I could-"
Izuku was already in front of him with his fist cocked back, "Boasting in the middle of an ongoing battle isn't the wisest move that even a dolt like you would do."
Homeless Emperor quickly intercepted the attack with his palm, halting the trajectory of his fist, "And your movements aren't simply fast enough to overwhelm my reactive receptors, Midoriya."
"What are you?!" Midoriya, jerking his arm left and right in an attempt to break free from the villain's iron grip.
"What am I, you say?" Homeless Emperor laughed.
"Above the pyramide of villains that this world has encountered," Homeless Emperor raised his fist, aiming to wallop Midoriya away into kingdom comes, "I am the one who stands out the most. For my power comes not from the genetic engineering of a mortal vessel, nor did it come from lofty limiter breakers."
His eyes glinted as a deadly aura enveloped him like a tainted blanket, "My power comes from above, beyond the boundaries of reality and time alike...sealed on an ominous dimension, was he, from whom, everything was made. He is the undisputable, absolute catalyst of the universe...if you think for a second that you, or your noisy, obnoxious allies can outwit me... you're sorely mistaken."
He thrusted his fist, propelling the boy away across the battlefield.
Nana and Torino soared above, each of them demonstrating a team-up attack, their fists connected with each other, "You talk too much, really."
Homeless Emperor formed a spherical barrier around him, as their fists hit it in it's futility.
They struggled to push the barrier away.
"Frail. Weak. Incompetent! You are not worth," His arms shifted forward, as an aura was formed in his index finger, "MY ATTENTION!"
The motion of his arms sent both of the heroes flying into separate directions.
As he did that, he could sense a movement coming from his rear side. As he whipped his head backwards, he could see Tatsumaki being plunged away from her initial battle area.
With his arm, he caught in-between her fingers, "Had the Commission become so pathetic, that their second best couldn't even hold a candle to a cell-based monster?"
"Watch your mouth, Useless Emperor." Platinum Sperm moved forward, "This cell-based monster can end you in an instant."
"Whatever." He tossed the unconscious body of Tatsumaki away, "We need a leverage against these heroes. They may be weak, but who knows what the Commission has up their sleeves. Not to mention that their best piece hasn't shown up yet."
"I guess. In case of emergency, we should pick a hostage so we can manipulate him to our whims."
Before they could mobilise, a menacing voice could be heard from behind them.
"Your case of emergency just happened."
Instinctively, Homeless Emperor shot a beam from his palm, but much to his dismay...
The mysterious, horned monster deflected it with just one wave of his hand, "A villain who stands out the most above all the myriad of monsters, hm?"
"A- and you're...?"
"Hmph..." The monster pointed at himself with a thumb, "I am that ominous future, disaster level "Divine"."
"...Is that so? Then, if you're this...so-called 'Divine' level threat, then I guess..." Homeless Emperor rushed forward with no warning, "You'll have no problem with a surprise atta-!"
The monster's fist went straight through the long-haired villain in an instant, penetrating through his chest bones and ripping the heart straight out of it.
Platinum Sperm remained passive, not deterred by the death of his supposed 'ally'.
The monster tossed the heart away, and with a sickly grin, he asked, "My form, my voice, nothing rings a bell to you?"
"I'd be a fool if I didn't," Platinum Sperm uncrossed his arms, "Garou. I see that you've rid yourself of your humanity...and became a true monster like me."
"Like you? Just what gave you the idea that you're in the same league as the likes of me?" Garou laughed.
"Arrogant as ever, I see." Platinum Sperm took a step forward, and as he braced himself..
He turned into a blur as he passed through Garou, "Allow me to pass through for a moment."
Garou took the force of what attack he inflicted on him, only giving him a mild inconvenience as he tilted his head backwards.
Now this truly will be an exhilarating experience, will it?
...
"Oi.."
Midoriya barely could see anything. The punch that he dealt with was enough to sent his vision haywire.
His brain couldn't quite catch the detail of the person that was talking to him.
"Izuku..you...okay?! Why...fuck...go..."
"Wha.." Izuku let out a raspy breath, trying his hardest to make out the sound of the man and identify him.
Slap!
"Hey!"
Izuku's foggy vision slowly cleared, as he caught the sight of his Sensei standing over him with a look that promised endless scolding.
"Finally getting to your senses, hm?" Yagi crouched, taking a look into the blood that dripped out of the kid's head.
"Sensei-"
"Don't 'Sensei' me." Yagi leaned forward, "What the fuck were you thinking, running around in a completely foreign city and acting on your own without ever asking for my input?!"
He did ask, but still...
"Sensei!" Izuku jumped forward, despite his state, and wrapped his arms around him.
"Huh?"
"I- I was worried! I was told that you were involved in this operation as well so-"
"I wasn't involved in anything. I came here to check out what the noise was all about," Yagi said, "And it's not like you're the only one who's concerned! Look at you! You look like shit! You act out on your own without supervision- where the fuck was Aizawa anyway? Why didn't he try to stop you?!"
Izuku pulled back, and with a shameful look, he replied, "I...He tried to stop me, but me, being the defiant boy I am..."
Yagi shook his head, "I'm getting you out of here."
"But Sensei-"
"No ifs, ands, or buts! You're going home." Yagi demanded, "You're getting yourself caught between something that's supposed to stick with the professionals! I'm gonna have a word or two with the higher-ups. They're not free of the blame either."
"Sensei...give me a chance."
Yagi, instead of answering first, took a peek to the heroes that were fighting their respective villains, then back to Midoriya, "Do you see this shit? How utterly dangerous it is for you to stand around in the middle of this whole shitshow?! You could've died! Dude!"
"I can handle it!"
"Bleeding all over the place is what you'd call 'handling it'?!" Yagi yelled, "I know you have heart, but this isn't the way to do it."
"Sensei..."
Yagi took a deep breath, before exhaling, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have lashed out..kid, you're gonna give me a heart attack one of these days with the way you're acting right now.."
"...I understand. I haven't grown at all."
"That's not at all what I meant and you know it." Yagi corrected, "You may be a dense brat, sometimes to the point of jeopardising your life, but it doesn't effect your growth. You have grown, but on the other side you're inherently a reckless moron."
"I am..."
"Yes. You are." Yagi reiterated, "Only an idiot rush headfirst into danger without any sort of experience in handling said danger. Did I say anything about patience? Yeah, and you weren't patient enough."
"...Sensei...I- I apologise, it seems that I have made a relapse in my decision.." Izuku looked down.
Yagi scooped the boy up, letting his hands rest on his shoulder, "It's fine. Just don't repeat it again. I don't need you to be going around giving me senseless heart attacks."
"...but you know, seeing you standing on equal grounds with the professionals, I'd say that you'd have grown a lot." Yagi said, "Not many could ever have the advantage of being in the same position as you are right now."
Izuku's lips curled, "It's all thanks to you, Sensei."
"You're selling yourself short." Yagi smiled back, "I'm gonna escort you to the nearest train station. I'll help you walk."
"You don't have to, Sensei.." Izuku shook his head, "I can walk just fine."
"Yeah, no, with the current state you're in.." Yagi continued, "Just accept the help and move on, will you?"
"But..were you going to deal with the villains?"
"They can wait."
"Why?" Izuku remembered that he was going to discuss with him about this, "Do you, perhaps, prioritise me over the safety of other people?"
Before Yagi could answer, a hero landed behind him, "Hey, hey, hey! Get outta the way, will you? I ain't responsible for your medical bills if you're being-"
It was Metal Bat.
He cut himself once he saw who the person he was talking to.
"Y...Yagi?"
"Metal Bat." Yagi said with a tone of familiarity.
"...I guess I can skip the pleasantries. You wanna help out?"
Yagi shook his head, "Can I entrust Izuku to you?"
"Hm?"
"He's hurt. He can barely walk an inch. I just need you to get him to the nearest train station." Yagi requested.
"Okay. I can do that, but what about him?" He pointed at the grotesque, obese monster in front of them, clasping his hands as a mouthful of saliva dripped from his lips.
Much to Yagi's disgust.
"I'll punch the daylights out of him and move on with the other nuisances." Yagi replied.
Dammit, and I still can't find Garou. This is starting to get stale...
Where's the old man, anyway?
"Sure thing." Metal Bat gestured for Izuku to come, "You heard your 'Sensei'."
Yagi raised his brow at that, but paid it no further attention.
As they walked away, Izuku took a last peek at Yagi, smiling as he did, before turning away entirely to walk into the distant.
"So..." Yagi looked at the monster towering above him, "I'm guessing you're the local laughing stock around here?"
...
He couldn't believe it. This half-monster had the audacity to mock him, what, with his obsolete power boost..
No..
He can't fall here.
He must remain at the top of the food chain. He will not let this monster doll get the better of him.
As he lunged at him another time, Garou kept on countering his attacks with relatively ease.
"You phony monsters have no grasp at the concept of true power," Garou says as he made a motion with his arms around in the air, "Absolute evil is quelled by none. Not even by these lesser evils. You will never overcome the unstoppable mountain in front of you."
"You keep on prattling about being the 'absolute evil'...tell me, what form of evil does the laughable things that you did? For example..letting that boy live and getting your personal feelings get in the way of being a true monster..."
"What is this, an attempt for a cheap taunt? What I did doesn't matter," Garou pointed at the lifeless, steaming corpse of Homeless Emperor with indifference, "I've added one jackpot into my body count. You will be added soon, and so will every pro-heroes and monsters that exists in this world. The unreasonable society that solicited a disparity that dealt pain with countless others...they will be dispersed. The fear that will overtake them will repair...
Absolutely,
EVERYTHING."
"...I see.." Platinum Sperm rushed forward, aiming for one last strike, "I guess I'll have to put even more to this-!"
Garou, with the speed that the monster couldn't perceive, went straight through him with both his hands stretched forward, each of his fingers straightening forwards.
Platinum Sperm screamed in agony as he exploded into the air, leaving no remains of his body.
Steam emitted out of Garou, as his vision lingered on the other heroes.
...
My fist is finally completed.
Both heroes and villains..
I'll annihilate them all..
After all,
The Absolute Evil is unbiased in it's judgement.
TO BE CONTINUED!
