The fire that surround him was blinding, he couldn't see a few feet in front of him. He was scared and alone, not knowing what to do but shuffle forward every time the opportunity showed itself. Cracking wood above him worried him greatly, praying that the whole building wouldn't come down upon him but as he slowly moved around as the flames danced on walls and furniture that was around the room. As he moved the roaring flames didn't seem to effect him but rather it made him feel nice and warm as if he was wrapped in a nice blanket, this although not hurting him made him even more scared about what was actually happening to him. Quickly trying to dispel those thoughts he continued to make his way through multiple rooms and taking stairs that lead him to lower floors near the entrance.

"NARUTO!" A voiced cried out to him, he turned and saw a beautiful lady with red hair run towards him. He couldn't make out who this women was but nonetheless he bravely walked towards her voice. As he reached her he finally realised who she was, it was his mother Kushina Uzumaki. She had dark violet eyes with dark red hair, she wore a traditional red kimono with a green strap and at her hip was a golden handled J shaped sword.

"Oh, there you are, quickly we have to go" she ran up to him and started to check him over, she pushed his blonde hair around to check for burns around his neck and ears. She than made sure he didn't have any burns on his body and once realising that he was fine released a sigh.

"Naruto I was so worried why did you run away you could of been seriously hurt."

"But I needed to make sure that Momonosuke was alright" Kushina ignoring his protest quickly scooped him up and carried him as he tried to understand what was happening around them.

As they left the room that they were previously in Kushina realised that they were trapped in a corridor with both the entrance and exit being blocked by fallen debris, grabbing her sword from her hip she quickly ran towards the fallen burning beams that blocked their path and slashed at the wood yelling.

"DESUSURASSHU"

Immediately all the fallen wood that had once been in the way turned to splinters, Kushina continued sprinting down hallway and down the stairs as quickly as she could. Naruto by this point could barely breath with the amount of smoke that had engulfed the building making it nearly impossible to breath or see. As Naruto was slowly losing his consciousness he started seeing foggy memories of himself and his parents.

Many of the memories being ones of him being told by his parents about there great adventures around the places they lived and the adventures that his mother had when she was a pirate at sea.

"Mother! What about Father! What happened to him? Where is he!" Naruto yelled realising that his father was not here so started to strain against his mothers hold. "We have to get him Mother! We can't leave him please."

"Minato's dead Naruto, he's dead because of stupid Oden and his stupid people." Kushina said through tears "Naruto we have to leave this place, there's nothing left for us anymore. I wish I could take you back Naruto, to when it was just me and the seas. Where no one could take our freedom, it was stupid of me to believe that Minato and Oden would fix this but truely no one can fix a place like this. No one can!"

"B-But what about Toki, Momonosuke and Hiyori? What will happen to them if we leave?"

"Theirs nothing for you to worry about Naruto, you just need to focus on getting out of Oden Castle and into safety before Kaido and his Beast pirates get here."

As if Kushina had summoned him Kaido landed on top of the castle but Kushina didn't even give him a second thought as she continued to make her way to the entrance of Odens castle. She dodged multiple falling beams that were collapsing from the fire and cutting multiple in half as they neared the entrance of the castle. Out of the corner of Naruto's eye he saw a beam start to fall, he looked to his mother who doesn't seem notice it. As it quickly descended towards the pair with Kushina still oblivious to it, as she focused on getting her and Naruto out of the building, was about to land on top of them but Naruto pushed his hands out to try and stop the impact.

"Go away!"

The wooden beam was pushed a few meters away from them, it was as if a big bust of wind had blown it out of the way. Naruto looked down at his hands which felt cooler than the rest of his body, he was about to ask his mother about what he did but was cut off when an explosion occurred.

"BOOM!"

Kushina clutched Naruto into a position so that she would bear the brunt of the force. They tumbled into a fallen pile of wood and Kushina yelped out in pain as a large spike of wood cut through her thigh.

"Shit! C'mon keep on going Kushina, you gotta keep going." She said to herself as she pushed herself off the ground and started limp towards the exit but tripped and fell back down with Naruto bundling out of her arms and onto the ground.

"Ouch!"

"Ah! Naruto, baby I'm so sorry, c'mon we have to keep going"

The exit was clearly visible through the thick smoke that clouded their vision throughout their escape of the castle, they reached the entrance and were immediately shot at upon their first steps outside.

"Its Kushina Uzumaki and her son! Kill her for their betrayal against Kaido and Orochi!"

Outside of Oden castle were multiple Beast pirates who were armed and ready to shoot at anyone who were to walk out, Kushina rolled left but took a shot from a rifle in her arm.

"Ah! Bastard!"

Kushina rushed forward to her attacker slashing at the attacker and moving to use another pirate as a shield from the shots that came from his fellow pirates. Kushina continued to fight more pirates as they seem to be an endless stream of them, Naruto who was still being held by Kushina just closed his eyes and put his head into his mother's chest trying to drown out the sounds of the battle that raged on.

"Look! Kaido's on the roof!" A Beast pirate yelled out as he pointed towards the roof of Oden Castle, Kaido was the roof with his arm outstretched over the edge of with something in his hand. Naruto seeing that the fighting had stopped and everyone was looking up towards the roof quickly looked around at everyone and then too looked up at Kaido. Upon seeing Kaido, Naruto saw what Kaido was holding and he saw his worst nightmare. His best friend Momonosuke was being held over the edge of his fathers castle with the drop being deadly.

"Momonosuke!" Naruto screamed at the top of his lungs, Momonosuke seemed to be talking to Kaido but once Naruto screamed Kaido looked straight into Naruto's eyes. Naruto terrified immediately diverted his eyes away from the terrifying monster that had Momonosuke in his hands, Kaido huffed throwing him back inside and looked straight back down at Naruto smiling. Kushina who seemed to be in a trance looking at the scene snapped out of it and immediately went to run into the forest that surrounded Oden Castle stopped and turned back to Kaido. Putting Naruto down and crouching down to his eye level, she looked directly into his blue eyes with her teary ones.

"Naruto I need you to run as fast as you can into the forest and find a place to hide, once this is over I'll come get you." Naruto nodded his head and started running into the forest. "Naruto! I love you and I'll come get you wherever you are it's a promise."

Kushina turned back to Kaido who had a manic grin on his face, he jumped from the top building and landed at the entrance to The castle.

"You are brave, I can see what Roger saw in you but all you efforts will be futile in the end. So join me and you and your son will live safely"

"I'll never join a bastard like you, I beat you once and I'll do it again if it means protecting Naruto"

"Ah, yes Naruto the one with the powers of Hogaromo. That reminds me that I don't actually need you now do I" Kaido breaths with a manic grin on his face.

Kaido immediately attacks her with his spiked club aiming for Kushina head but she quickly dodges by back stepping then raising her sword and swinging it at his arm. It hits but nothing comes of the impact, no scratch nor blood, Kushina quickly regains herself as Kaido continues his charge at her with swings of his club from multiple different angles.

"Isn't this reminiscent of a past time! But I mustn't waste my time on you, I have far surpassed what you are and now look forward to the future. Goodbye Monkey D. Kushina give Roger my regards!"

With a final swing of his spiked club he hits Kushina straight back into the Castle with her flying through multiple walls before coming to a stop.

Kushina who is barley conscious tries to look around but her vision is blocked by flames and ash that falls like snow, putting her hands side by side she tries to stand and is successful but she staggers left and right as she tries to move around to find anyone.

She reaches an opening where she sees multiple different people seeming to gathered around talking with one another. Her vision is blurry but she thinks she can see Kin'emon, Toki and Momonosuke, as she reaches them she sees the shocked look on Kin'emon's face but that suddenly hardens as he nods. Toki looks at Kushina and smiles with teary eyes.

"Kushina you can save Naruto I promise."

Suddenly her entire vision is engulfed in white as she thinks about Naruto, 'I'll save you Naruto whether through life or death, I'll find you and save you.' As she fully loses the consciousness she can hear word echoing around as if they were bouncing around the inside of her head.

"You are the moon unaware of the Dawn!"

Naruto sprinted as fast as his little legs could take him, huffing as he tried to keep a fast pace. Around him he could hear voices behind him, not strong be loud enough to know that they were chasing him.

"ROAR!"

It was like the ground was shacking around him and he was pretty sure the whole of the country had heard the noise, as Naruto slowed down a little to turn around to see what had made that monstrous noise.

He could see a massive flaming blue dragon that looked to be as long as the eye could see through the gaps in the trees, as Naruto continued to run while looking backwards his foot caught on a root that was sticking out of the ground. Yelping as he slid along the hard dirt gaining many scratches along his arms and legs he came to a complete stop against a tree, the noises that had been chasing him ever since leaving his mother had finally caught up to him.

"Well, well, well what do we have here" A large muscular man with bright yellow hair and thick sideburns said while walking up to Naruto, he crouched down to Naruto's level and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt lifting him up to his eye level.

"Well aren't you a tiny squirt" he laughed before punching Naruto in his ribs, Naruto cried out and sobbed as the large man continued to beat him while holding him up.

"Ah Briscola, Boss said to not hurt him remember we want him on our side" one of the other pirates said as more Beast pirates arrived to where they were.

"Like Kaido will care if he's ruffed up a little bit, we'll just say that he fought back." He shrugged. "Anyway he needs to be taught a lesson for running away"

As Briscola cocked his arm back to punch again Naruto tried to to punch him back, instead this did nothing but make him look humorous as his small arms weren't even close to reaching Briscola.

"Ha Ha, you've got spunk kid, just like your mother but that didn't do her any good now did it!"

Naruto eyes dilated as long sharp claws sprouted out of his fingers, the claws seemed to be dripping a blue energy as they slowly grew longer seemingly as he got angrier.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MOTHER!"

Naruto roared as he ripped himself out of Briscola grip and slashed him across his chest leaving three deep marks along it. The other Beast pirates that surround him took a step back before deciding to attack him. As most pirates slashed their swords at Naruto he just easily parried them away with one clawed hand and then slashing them with the other.

The numbers of the pirates were far to many for Naruto to handle so he slowly was pushed back against a tree, making and a split second decision he dug his claws into the trunk of the tree before pulling himself high up into the air and onto a branch above the pirates.

"Get him now!" Briscola yelled from where he was nursing his wound, some of the pirates started to climb the tree while other took turns shooting at him with their rifles and pistols. Most of their shots missed with Naruto subconsciously pushing the bullets away with his powers. The pirates who climbed the tree had finally made it to the top of the tree and realised their mistakes instantly as they were cut and chopped without mercy as Naruto seemed to be in a feral state attacking anything in his sight. The pirates that were below got to witness the horrific sight of blood raining down from the tree as if it was raining. Suddenly behind the Beast pirates there was a giant crash with all turning around seeing the sight of their captain Kaido standing behind them all.

"Where is he?" He barked out to the pirates, most to afraid to speak just pointed to the top tree where Naruto was finishing cutting through the final pirates who dared to climb up to face him. Upon seeing Naruto's state he smiled and laughed.

"Now this is what I wanted to see, you Naruto will be a great asset to me once you are older"

Naruto hearing Kaido looked down at him and his eyes went wide, snapping out of his feral state Naruto looked down to the mass destruction he had caused. Tears started to build up in his eyes as he looked at his hands which still had the long talons which were slowly receding along with the blue energy that was also slowly fading with it.

"W-What happened to my mother?" Naruto muttered from the top of the branch, Kaido barely being able to hear what was asked smiled.

"Your mother is dead along with your friends, there is nothing left for you."

"Y-You're wrong they aren't dead, there all back there fine like Mother promised."

"Come with me and I'll show you how wrong you are."

"Never!"

Naruto once again going back into his feral state jumped straight at Kaido his claws jumping to life with the blue energy covering most of his arms.

"A shame it is that you won't see reality" Sighed Kaido, once again gripping his spiked club he pulled his arms back and swung at Naruto. With a sickening crack Naruto was sent flying with the hit, going through many trees and out of the eye distance of Kaido. Turning to his pirates he placed his spiked club at his side.

"Go get him and place him in the dungeon's, make sure he is fully unconscious so he doesn't get away. Though make sure you don't kill him because we still need him, got it?" The pirates shakily nodded and then quickly scampered towards the direction where Naruto had been hit in.

"Once we have him, I'll be unstoppable. The powers of the God of Wano will be mine and no one will be able to defy me!" Quickly turning back into a dragon he took one last glance in the direction of Naruto before huffing and flying away.

Naruto woke to the sound of water rushing up against his legs, the sun was blinding as it tried grasp itself over the landscape plaguing the darkness that once lay there.

"Where is he!" A voiced yelled out from within the forest, Naruto quickly standing up scampered up to the tree line to get out of easily seen spot of where he was on the beach before. As he looked out from behind the tree he could see a group of about ten pirates making their way towards him.

"Where the hell is he!" One of the pirates yelled.

"We're so screwed if we let him get away" another one sulked.

"Shut up both of you, he has to be around here some where and there's no where to go even he did get up. We are surrounded by water and with those Devil fruit powers he can't go into the water so we have to get him eventually." The biggest of the pirates stated while the others just nodded seeing reason in his explanation.

'Devil Fruits, what are those? I've never eaten anything called that before' Naruto thought as he tried to think about all the times he had eaten fruit but nothing coming to mind.

As the pirates slowly came closer to Naruto he was starting to panic not knowing what to do. With every step the pirates taking getting closer to Naruto, he tried playing multiple scenarios in his head trying to decide the best course of action to take.

Deciding that running would mean that he would eventually get captured he decided he had to make a stand against them, thinking back to when he had attacked all the pirates on the tree nearly made him vomit but Naruto knowing that any other alternate methods would probably lead to his capture or death he tried to summon the claws again.

Slowly the claws showed themselves but not at the length they had been in the last battle, the blue energy slowly started to seep out of his hands.

"He has to be close, I can see ocean"

Naruto getting ready for the fight to come, he started to breath in and out slowly trying to calm his nerves as the group slowly made there way to where he was hiding.

As the first pirate walked pass him he jumped straight at the pirate cutting his arms, face and chest than pushing him onto the ground and elbowing him in the head knocking him out.

As the other pirates just realised what happened all withdrew there weapons and prepared to fight Naruto, two pirates rushed at Naruto who crouched down onto all fours and once the two pirates were within striking distance of Naruto's attack he pounced at them. Slashing both of pirates in chest before kicking one of them into a tree while grabbing the other one to use as shield from another pirate who shot a him. Using the pirate he used as a shield he threw him at the one who shot at them knocking both of them out, with six pirates left Naruto took off towards the beach and the pirates give chase after him taking shots at him which hit him in the shoulder and legs.

Although the bullets slowed him down he was on the beach once again in open space.

"Now, give up brat you've lead us on a goose chase all night so come with us quietly and you'll be fine we don't want to use force." The large pirate said glaring down at Naruto.

"Shut up"

"Now, now don't get petty."

"I said SHUT UP!"

Naruto launched himself at the large pirate who just laughed and dodged left letting the three pirates who were behind him take the slashes knocking them unconscious. With three pirates left Naruto was gaining confidence that he could actually win the fight, the large pirate who seemed to be enjoying the fight realised that Naruto was getting confident in his ability to fight them.

Raising both hands above his hands he smashed his hands down just as Naruto went to attack him, Naruto was drilled into the ground and saw white nearly falling unconscious from the hit. Though as he stood back up he was punched in the chest again making him fly through the air and skidding along the sand and coming to a hard stop.

Immediately pushing himself back to his feet he was again shoot in the stomach and knee, enduring the strain and agony that his body was feeling he pushed himself to the limits running towards the pirates for a final time. The large pirate was pulling back his arm again and once Naruto was in striking distance punched at him, Naruto who saw what was coming jumped over the pirate and slashed at the other two pirates who were shooting at him. As Naruto landed the two gunmen pirates fell leaving only Naruto and the final large pirate.

"Haha you are strong you little shit but we are at your end." He walked over to were Naruto who was utterly exhausted but still trying to get up but not being able to as his knees had finally given out. The pirate picked Naruto up by his left arm and laughed looking at how frail Naruto looked in such a vulnerable state.

"And to think your only five, no wonder Kaido wants you, you could easily beat most marines easily" the pirate noted, looking at his hands which still had the claws showing. "These were very troublesome, let's put them out of action first."

Grabbing his left arm with both hands he twisted either way earning a sickeningly snap as the arm broke quickly, grabbing Naruto's right arm and letting the left arm hang flopping in two different angles which would make most sick. Getting ready for the right arm to be broken Naruto closed his eyes in anticipation of what was to come, a few seconds passed without anything happening.

Naruto slowly opened his eyes and was surprised to see what he was greeted to, the pirate that had him by his arm was being drowned by water that had extended from the ocean that was only a few meters away from them. Naruto could hardly believe what he was seeing and was sure that he was just dreaming of what he wanted to happen, this thought was quickly dashed away as he was dropped onto the ground and felt the pain of landing on his broken arm.

The pirate had buckled to his knees and was trying to scope the water from himself with all attempts being futile, all his attempts did nothing as more water from the sea rushed down his throat making his eye bulge until he stopped struggling and looked empty with no life in him. The water slowly retracted from the large pirate and back into the ocean, Naruto who at this point was desperately trying to stay awake but his vision was going black from a mixture of exhaustion and the agony he had just been through.

The last things he had saw was the rolling waves slowly reaching out to him dragging him into the ocean, he turned his head towards Oden Castle where this had all started.

'Mother please be safe.'

The cool crisp air meet Yuto skin as he stepped onto the deck of the Riku Royal Ship or what the Riku family called it, the RRS. It was the early hours of the morning with the sun barley seeping over the edges of the vast ocean. By midday they would arrive back into port at Dressrosa, where the Riku family came from. The Riku family had been on a trip to a few of the neighbouring countries for not only diplomatic reasons but so the family could get away from the palace after King Doldo III wife had died.

The ocean slowly rocked the boat as it made good pace to the island with the ship only needing slight fixing as it drifted off course, the Sailors would wake up in the next half hour to truely get the day of arrival ready.

As Yuto looked out to sea to see if anything interesting was happening but the only thing he could see was blue waves, that was until on the horizon he could see that the waves seemingly lifted for no reason. It looked as if there was a hill in the ocean like there would be on land, rubbing his eyes to makes sure he wasn't seeing anything but once he looked again the hill was still there and was approaching faster than any normal wave. The wave looked to be actually alive, running up to ship like a puppy would to a person. It absolutely baffled Yuto who couldn't believe it.

It wasn't till the wave got within a closer range that Yuto realised that there was someone on top of the wave and looked to be grievously hurt. Running down onto the deck of the ship he ran straight for the emergency bell, upon reaching it he started slamming it side to side almost instantly waking up everyone on board.

The sailors clambered out of the sleeping quarters dazed but ready to face the threat, Yuto now realising in hindsight that he probably overreacted turned to everybody.

"Men quickly we must save the person that is in the water!" The men while annoyed about that being the reason they woke up early still nodded and race to the edge of the boat, upon looking out to where Yuto said the person was they couldn't see anyone but the ocean turning to Yuto even more annoyed now than before went to berate him.

"Ahhh!" A scream run out from the entrance to the Royal sleeping quarters and as the turned to it the sight they came upon was a grizzly one.

It was a boy laying on his back, his left arm clearly broken with blood all over his body. There were multiple bullet holes in him, a few in his shoulder, one in his stomach, three in his chest and multiple around his knees and legs.

The persons whom discovered the boy were the to princess of Dressrosa, that being Scarlet and Viola, while their father Doldo quickly ran to see what the fuss was about and saw the broken boy. Without missing a beat he looked over to the sailors.

"Men! Immediately dress his wounds and try to save him!" The King barked out as the men clambered to the boy gently lifting him up and racing him towards the medical room.

"Who was that boy Father?" Sniffled Viola as she look up to her father. "Will he be alright? I hope he's alright."

"I don't know Viola, I don't know."
