Prologue:
"Sakuno you look dashing, my dear daughter" A warm hugs envelops her, eyes verging with tears, she gently wipes her face afraid of ruining her face. "Oh please, don't cry sweetie. Your makeup will be ruin" she smiled genuinely.
I always longing and wanting for this moment. I always keep dreaming for her to embraced me warmly like this. My mother's precious and expensive smile. Now, seeing how she smiles to me, my heart constricts in pain, I didn't realize that it is possible to feel pain when you were happy.
Sakuno looks once again on her reflection in the mirror, seeing how she was decorated with gems from her hair, face wears makeup enhancing her face and the glamorous white gown she was wearing, she could tell how thoroughly prepared and planned for this special day.
Her own wedding day.
Today, I am marrying the man I always dreamed of. For years of yearning for his love, finally… finally this is happening. Today, from this day forward we will build our own lives together.
"Need a hand?"
A memory of a guy wearing a stoic face pops on her mind.
Sakuno slowly shake her head. Trying to push away his face on her mind.
"Sa-chan, be happy" Seiichi taps her shoulder. "I always wanted you to be happy"
So, do I. I always wanted a place to belong. A place where I can be truly happy. Now it is really happening right? This is the happiness I am yearning so badly, right?
And an image of her looking at the sunset vividly on her mind. She was smiling so genuinely while being hug by him. They both facing the sun, their feet were on the sea.
"Hahahahah! Enough! Stop chasing me please"
"Hey! The bunny is running! You will fall if you run fast" he laughed.
Sakuno blinks, she looks to her only brother and smiled. He hugs her one more time as a sighed escape on his lips. "Choose your happiness imoto."
"Sakuno"
Sakuno looked around and found her father's warm gazed. He smiled to her, the same smile he always giving her ever since she remembered. Sakuno smiled back genuinely this time. He nodded his head as he held her hand gently. He parted his lips, wanting to say something. Sakuno waited for his words, looking intently on his warm gazed. "I am proud of you. My daughter, so whatever it is, whatever you wanted to do. I'm here at your back. So don't hold back. Choose yourself. That's the only thing this father wanted to you to do."
Sakuno lips trembled from his words.
Sakuno peak with one eye, she looks at the guy on her side whom intently closing his eyes while seriously praying in the temple. She smiled, she closes her eyes and uttered her prayer.
…
"Hmmm… how about to travel around the world? That's great experience, isn't it?" he beams.
"Mou! It's not that easy y'know!"
Sakuno gasped, she held her breathe for a moment. Her mind went hazy, slowly, she smiled, reaching her father's hand that still holding her. "This is my happiness father" she smiled, this time she smiled reassuring.
"Excuse me, it's time"
.

.
"Here. cry here as much as you want"
Sakuno took a deep breathe; holding the bouquet of flower on her hands. She walks in the middle of the aisle looking intently on the front. Familiar and unfamiliar faces blended in the crowd.
Each step she did, memories of certain person become so vividly in her. His face, the way he looks at her. Sakuno took a deep breath trying to calm her trembling
"che. I stay awake for a whole night studying about this ursa major, ursa minor, Cassiopeia you were talking about. Don't you think I deserved some credits?"
A soft chuckled escapes on her mouth. She giggled seeing how he looks dreaded and deprived from sleeps. She gasps as she hit his shoulder. "Oh! Look! There is a wishing star! Let's wish! Come on"
Sakuno's hand trembled from the memory flashed in her mind. She keeps walking on the aisle straight face. She smiled seeing the relief face of the person she always wished for.
Kirihara Akaya, dashing in black tuxedo, he smiled genuinely to her. His eyes looking so intently only to her. Sakuno smiled once more trying to eradicate those images that started visiting her mind. As she keeps walking down to the aisle, she realized how the whole place decorated with her favorite flowers.
"Heh. So, you like this flower? Tulips, is it?" his brows furrowed as he gently inhaled the flower scent.
"Uhm. This is the third thing I like the most next to painting and constellations."
"Che. Why do you like placing rank on your favorite things? So, which place I am? Huh" he asks, his eyes looks expectant.
"Mou! There is no-"
"So, meaning to say, you don't like me? I feel so wounded"
"mou! You are not a thing!"
…
"Jeez! Are you for real? How come your in college now?"
"Mou! So, mean!"

Sakuno kissed his cheeks, his eyes doubled in size as he was so surprised from what she did.
"Hey!"
But before he could ever react, Sakuno dashes on her door closing the door with a loud bang.
"Hey! Open this door! What is that for?"
Sakuno blinks, she focuses herself on Akaya's face overlapping the image of him. As she reaches for his hand, Akaya gently kiss her hand, she smiled. They both smiled to each other.
"Jeez, I will marry you in different churches if you wish. But first, you have to say yes to be my girlfriend"
"Baka!"

"Stop crying" he gently wipes her tears on her face, enveloping her to a tight hug.

So welcome to one and all, who have traveled from near and far. thank you for your presence here today and now ask for your blessing, encouragement, and lifelong support, for their decision to be married."
"I love you"
He leans his forehead on hers as he smiled genuinely on her.
Sakuno held her breathe. His voice becoming clearer and clearer as each time passed by. Sakuno couldn't even understand the priest on her front.
"If everything becomes so heavy for you. Run with me. Sakuno."
"Marriage is perhaps the greatest and most challenging adventure of human relationships. No ceremony can create your marriage; only you can do that—through love and patience; through dedication and perseverance; through talking and listening, helping and supporting and believing in each other; through tenderness and laughter; through learning to forgive, learning to appreciate your differences, and by learning to make the important things matter, and to let go of the rest. What this ceremony can do is to witness and affirm the choice you make to stand together as life mates and partners.
If anyone can show just cause why this couple should not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace. Please join hands and face each other."
"Choose me"
Sakuno blinks once again; she holds her breathe again; her hand trembled as she tried to restraint her tears. She felt Akaya gazed on her side. She gently looks at him and smiled.
"Choose me please."
"I am begging you, choose me this time Sakuno."
"Love me please"
No. not that memory please.
The pain in her heart started strangle her with no mercy. Tears wanted to let out on her eyes.
"Kirihara Akaya do you take Yukimura Sakuno to be your wedded wife? to cherish in love and in friendship, in strength and in weakness, in success and in disappointment, to love him faithfully, today, tomorrow, and for as long as the two of you shall live?"
"I do"
"uhm let's make it official" Sakuno said blushing. She looks down trying to hold her own beating heart. She counted for seconds waiting for his respond.
"Damn it!" his face flushed as he covered his entire face with his favorite cap. His ears turn red in an instant and an obvious blushed appeared on his cheeks.
Sakuno chortled. She found his reaction so cute that she couldn't help herself but to giggled.
"You were my girlfriend, right?"
Sakuno nodded
"Yukimura Sakuno do you take Kirihara Akaya to be your wedded husband? to cherish in love and in friendship, in strength and in weakness, in success and in disappointment, to love him faithfully, today, tomorrow, and for as long as the two of you shall live?"
His sorrowful voice echoed once again on her ears, invading all her senses, numbing her from everything. Little and little, his image become clearer and clearer on her mind.
"Why? Why it's so hard for you to choose me? Did you… ever love me?"
No please. Don't go there.
"Am I not enough?"
"Did my love for you not enough?"
"What should I do? For you to choose me? Tell me!"
"I will settle for what you can give! Just damn it. Not like this Sakuno! Just don't fucking leave me!"
His beautiful golden eyes, looking so intently and tired at the same time. Tears fell freely on his lovely eyes.

Sakuno gasps, she chokes, her eyes clouded by her own tears. The image of him that night keeps hunted her every night. The image of him that night was the last thing she wanted to remember.
No. she doesn't want to remember it at all. The memories she buried deep down in her heart. The pain in his eyes were so vivid in her mind. It feels like a thousand of needles stabbing her. His tired expression far from his arrogant face was enough for her to felt an invisible thread strangled her, enough for her to lost breathe. He was hurting; so, do she is. She doesn't want to see him that way. The last moment she has to him, was too painful for him and to her.
"Go."
Sakuno close her eyes. His image remains there.
I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
I know I am such a vicious woman. I don't deserve you at all.
I'm sorry. But I couldn't take myself to utter those words.
I am so selfish to hurt you that way.
"Go to him Sakuno." He smiled. "I know he's the one…" he closed his eyes. "That you truly love." He smiled. "I'm setting you free"
Tears fell from both of them. He smiled to him wiping her tears.
"Hey. Don't cry. You making me feel like you really did love me." He chuckled painfully. He brush his greenish locks "This will be the last time I will wipe your tears, okay?" he uttered. "Be happy"

Did I really deserve that?
This is what I want but why is…
