on a island called dawn island. There lives a young boy. Who'll Change the world forever.

his name... monkey D Luffy.
as young 5 year old Luffy is walking around the forest with a small knife. He thinks to himself.
(I'll show him that I can survive without his help. I'm going to be a strong marine. Stronger than him. Just you wait grandpa, I'll out class you in strength thought Luffy).
as he keeps on walking, he finds a small chest on the ground.
he kneels down and opens the chest.
to his surprise it has a strange looking fruit and a book inside.
hmm?. What's this strange fruit doing in here? Asked Luffy as he then looked at the book.
is this a log book?. Maybe it's got information on the fruit said Luffy as he begins to read it.
Luffy reads the book finding out that the strange looking fruit, is actually a devil fruit.
the legends are true huh?. Hmm. Looks like devil fruits are real he said.
the book says that this devil fruit, is called the rumble rumble fruit.
a Logia type devil fruit that gives the user the power to create, control, and turn into Lightning.
the power of Lightning huh?. Seems powerful I guess. I guess if I want to out class grandpa, I'll need to eat it said Luffy as he grabs the fruit and eats it, ignoring the bad taste it has.

after eating it Luffy's eyes started to spark with electricity.
this is going to be cool said Luffy before running to town to spread the big news.

as Luffy was getting the hang of being a Lightning user, he learned something's.
he never grows tired, nor ever needs sleep.
he's always full of energy.
as the days go by, Luffy grew stronger thanks to his grandfather's training regiment.
100 pushups.

and 100 squats.
then a 10 km run every single day.
before training he's always eating eggs and drinking milk in the morning.
then for lunch. He eats fried fish and drinks apple juice.
as for dinner, always bear or boar meat, with a drink of animal blood and some milk to wash the blood out of his mouth.

and managed to strengthen his devil fruit powers.

just like that he see's a ship coming to the island.
hmm?. What ship is that?. I've never seen a ship like that before said Luffy.
Luffy grabbed his spyglass and looked to find its flag.
to his surprise, he finds it...
only to see that the flag... is a pirate flag.
pirates huh?. I better check them out to see what business they have here. What kind of marine would I be if not to ask them their business here? Asked Luffy.
just like that Luffy teleported with his Lightning powers to the front of said pirate ship.
when he made an awesome entrance the pirates saw him and were at awe.
which of you pirates is captain of this ship? Asked Luffy to the pirates.
one of them stepped forward.
he has red hair as well three scars around his left eye.

I'm captain "red hair Shanks. How may I help you lad? Asked Shanks with a calm smile.
I'm the protector of dawn island. I come here to ask what business you have here said Luffy.
I understand lad. Fear not, for we come here for salvation. We need a place to make base. We hope we aren't disturbing you and the people there said Shanks with a calming voice.
I guess I'll allow it. But for how long are you staying? Asked Luffy.
honestly... we don't know lad said Shanks with a kind smile.
hmm said Luffy.
we'll try to keep to ourselves if that's ok with you said Shanks.
I guess that's ok. Just don't make any trouble on the island said Luffy.

if you do anything bad... I'll zap you to the land of dreams, ok? Asked Luffy.
seems fair. Sure we'll be nice, so there's no need to zap us lad said Shanks.
ok said Luffy smiling now.
you seem very carefree. What's your name lad? Asked Shanks.
I'm monkey D Luffy. The man who'll be the greatest marine in the world said Luffy.

just like that Luffy allows the red haired pirates entry, to dawn island.

here are my storyline ideas.
hollow navy: Luffy eats the hollow hollow fruit and becomes a marine.
navy storm: Luffy eats the storm dragon devil fruit and becomes a marine.
that's all I could come up with so far.
