This history will try to reflect what would happen if the Stargate Program, the IOA and all the factions in the Stargate Universe, was operating during present times. With all the things implied with it, the russian special operation in ukraine, the Current war in the Gaza Strip, and so on. Also, though it is not possible to fully integrate both universes, much less adding a third, i will do my best to present a coherent, realistic and as much canon history as possible. That being said, this integration will mean to include two real world assets completely ignored in the stargate Universe: the pale of the so called "abrahamic faiths" and the Deep state organizations, mostly the religious ones. So, enjoy and comment your thoughts, any good critics will be considered and even adopted in this Fan fiction.

The elections were ending. as far as the count goes, the Republican faction, leaded by Teal'c of Chu'lak and Master Bra'tac was losing by a small margin. the rhetoric against the Jaffa nation becoming a 2nd rate power, behind the Tau'ri leadership, was the main reason why many Jaffa were shifting from the historical position of the former Jaffa leadership to a more independent coalition, increased by the formers pro Goau'ld and Ori factions of the Jaffa society, who still have grudge against the tauri.
However, Da'rak, the young leader of the Independent faction, knew that following that path would only create a schism in the Jaffa society, one that could eventually end in a civil war. So, knowing the probable results of the elections, he proposed to teal'c to increase cooperations between the Jaffa and the Tau'ri, mostly in the science and military areas. that would appease the teal'c faction, and help to reconcile both political currents. the cooperation with the Tau'ri would continue, but it would end in a stronger Jaffa free nation, on pair with the Tau'ri allies
Jaffa. That was the name of a race breed for war. Not peace or cooperation. War. But the irony was even being superior to humans, the Jaffa ended behind them in the galactic pyramid of power. The Tau'ri, and the humans allied to them, like the Tollans, and their human protectorates, were the biggest fish in the Ocean. Their only enemy left were those pathetic thugs and pirates from the Lucian Alliance, and outside of the Milky Way, the Wraith, in a huge decline, and perhaps the Ori. It was discouraging to him the Jaffa only were more powerful when they were under the Goa'uld or the Ori.
That's why he decided to fund several technological projects with the Tau'ri, so they could become a power of their own. He knew he needed the Tau'ri expertise to finally understand the secrets of the Goa'uld technology the Jaffa uses, but unable of modify it or improve it. Also, there were several Tau'ri developments that he wanted to incorporate, like those primitive but super effective projectile weapons.
10 years it was all he need to achieve his secret goals. The age of the Jaffa would finally come.
Five years later

Master Tal'song entered the main hangar to see it for himself. The new Gliders were aligned and ready for deployment in the belly of the beast. With new plasma cannons, two under the cockpit, able to shot 5 times faster than the previous ones, and with six missile emplacements, four naqquadah anti fighter missiles, and two nuclear-naquadah tipped anti-capital ship missiles, this new Dark Gliders were a good rival of the Tau'ri F-302.
The fuselage was reinforced with trinium, and was able to withstand several hits of the PEM guns used by the F-302.
A man of the Tau'ri delegation step forward and shook hands with the Jaffa leader. After some formalities and small talk about the progress being made with the technological exchange, both moved to a small room. The gold in the walls maintain the old Goa'uld style, but the hieroglyphs reflected the history of the Free Jaffa instead. The man frowned at the sight of these writings, but as soon his host seated in front of him he smiled, hoping the jaffa didn't notice it. No one should know he knew how to read hieroglyphs, and even less why.
-Ok, I assume after this tour you are pleased with our cooperation.
Yes, i am. Now, let's talk about your prize. And your motives.
-My motives are the same as yours, but for different reasons. Earth is undeveloped and too exposed, we have accepted a mantle of responsibility we are not ready to take. we are protecting planets of people who believes space travel is magic, while our own people is starving. You, in the other hand, have not only the resources but the ships to take care of all this.
-So, you don't want the responsibility.
-Nor the consequences. We had our fair share of assaults on our homeworld, Master Tal'song. we defeated the Goa'uld, the Ori, the Replicators and the Wraith. we save or help you, the humans of hundreds of worlds and even the asgard. I think it is time to us to finally retire and deal with our own problems.
-A wise decision. But I'm afraid your own government doesn't share your thoughts.
-That's a problem you can help me with.

-We have a common enemy, the Aschen Confederation. If the Free Jaffa could address this threat, with our support of course, they have some assets we could use to create a change in our current policies.

Two years later

The stargate expelled another Jaffa battalion into the fray. The Aschen gate compound was almost under Jaffa control, the Al'kesh bombers and Dark Gliders keep their reinforcements at bay, it was a matter of time before the base was in Jaffa's hands.
Shu'tak was very proud of his men. The new Hybrid rifles were a huge improvement over the old staff weapons. The J-100 was a 5.52 automatic rifle with a reduced plasma staff-like weapon, with greater rate of fire but less power. Product of the cooperation between the SGC and the Jaffa Republic, this new weapon was being tested in the war against the Aschen, a war welcomed for all, Tauri, Jaffa and even Lucians. Its success would lean to it's implementation as an standard rifle in substitution of the P90 for the SGC and Staff weapon in the Jaffa ranks.
However the new rifle needed new tactics by it's users, the Jaffa units in this campaign went to all the basic infantry and special units training Earth armies used, for a 2 year period. In total 25000 Jaffa warriors were trained by human officers, in the lights of a new relationship between Tau'ri IOA government and the Free Jaffa nation. Master Bra'tac and Teal'c put all their influence to reach such an accord to ease the growing tensions between the Jaffa and the humans, exacerbated during the Ori intervention.
Form orbit, the Havoc Ha'tak, the first of it's class, keep the space around the Aschen planet in Jaffa's hands. The debris of a dozen Aschen ships were floating around, slaughtered. This new class had the double of energy output of current Hataks, two shields superposed, and one concentrated plasma pulse cannon of 5 times the energy of the conventional plasma staff weapons in normal Hataks. also the hull was Trinium reinforced, and the gold inner structure was being replaced for other materials, like titanium, tungsten and other alloys to increase resistance, durability, and reduce costs.
-Master Tal'song, the Ternoron system has fallen in our hands.
-Excellent. Secure the planet, initiate the full industrialization of the surface. End the Aschen sterilization policy, use the gene therapy of the Tau'ri at its fullest.
-Even if it is not fully tested?
-This would be the final test. We need humans thriving to be our labor class. We need them happy and numerous. Remove all taxes, declare a celebration, release all prisoners with full amnesty.
-As you wish, Master.
-This is just the beginning. As soon as the Aschen are subjugated, we will be ready. The time of the Jaffa is near. We would claim our rightful place in this galaxy, as the main power.

The four IOA members stand up as the Mexican President enter the room, followed by his Secretary and two Ministries. After the protocolar salutations, the meeting started.
-Well Mr. President, it's a pleasure to be here. But I'm afraid I don't know why.
-Mr. Woosley, right? The reason of why I call the IOA to this meeting is because we found something that you would find very interesting. Señor secretario, por favor- he said, and he started to show them in a huge flat screen a map of the Yucatán peninsula.
-As you already know, several decades ago, the Go'auld Hathor was found in the mayan city of Chichen Itzá. After her futile attempt of taking over the Stargate Command, the US Government was very interested in support the archaeological surveys in the area, and after we were invited to the IOA we found out why. Our experts concluded, based in what we know about the Go'auld civilization, there had to be other resources besides manpower to make this region attractive to Hathor. So, we started to analyze the area. And we found this.
The map showed three spots of different sizes in the Chiapas and Tabasco states.
-What is it?
-Naqquadah. Three deposits of it, two of them almost depleted, but the third in Chiapas is barely touched.
The board members look each other with more suspicion than surprise, and the Mexicans, who were not blind, knew things where not going as they planned. One of them get near Woosley and asked:
-Why we didnt detect those deposits with our ships?
-I have not a clue, mr. Dobson-answered a perplexed and worried Woosley.
-Our proposal to the IOA-he said while assistants give each one a folder- is to exploit these deposits in behalf of you, and in exchange you give our nation a Daedalus class warship, with their F-302 fighters squadrons, and the technology to build more. Also we offer our industrial capabilities to develop a transport ship, to increase the logistical capabilities of the Earth forces, and to progress into colonization of new worlds.
-Mr. President, I think this are great news indeed. But it is not for me or the board to decide, we will contact our goverments and present your proposal. I believe it will be considered.
-This new discovery could accelerate our entire ship building schedules-said the Chinese representative, Mr. Yeng-I will look to convince my goverment to give full support to it, and even finantiation-said, and the Mexican President aknoledge him and thanks him. Woosley and the others look each other with concern.

-In this pen drive you will find the data of the minerals founded in the Mexican Naqquadah deposits. This is not my area of expertise, but their scientists assure if we can find them, the Naqquadah would be near. so, that will be the task for the Sun Tzu's crew. Begin the search in our territory, and then the rest of Asia, Latin America, Africa and antarctica first. we need to find other sources in friendly countries. then in the West and their satellites, just to know if they have it too.
-What about the Mexicans?
-Suffice to say we will support them, the pressure of the Americans is unacceptable, and I am sure that pressure will increase now the have found this.

The Mexican Foreign affairs Secretary entered the room, while the ministries of the five MERCOSUR nations, plus the associated states of Peru, Bolivia and Chile, who were all waiting.
-We have found in the Yucatán peninsula, near the former mayan territory, this mineral, called Naquadahh. It has several applications, one of them it's resistance, durability, and most important, it's conductivity.
W, after it's discovery, decided to look for other deposits around the world, and we found this- and in the screen a map pf the Antartic peninsula appeared. several spots were visible in the mountain range, from Grahams land to the Polar Plateau.
-So, Its my government suggestion we, as latin countries, to start the use of this mineral, and keep it for ourselves. I know many of you are sign members of the Antarctic Treaty, and two have a territorial reclamation of this area, also others have reserved their rights to claim territory as well. So, this could be and incentive to, you know, make bolder claims.
-What about the UK-said the Argentinian ministry,speaking what everyone in the room where thinking.
-If all the nations present here, decide to arrange a new territorial reclamation of the Antarctic, with Chile and Argentina dividing the land you both claim, and all the others support it, the Mexican government will give you full support, and...
-Full support? And what's that supposed to mean? UN would look a side while the UK mobilizes another fleet, with NATO and US support, sure we don't put a foot in the area beyond our scientific stations-roardd.
-Even with our full military support, we can't do much, nuclear deterrence only it's enough to make us withdraw-confess the Mexican Secretary.

Before the IOA member could read more of the dossier, an aide knocked the door and entered.
- Sirs, there its something of the news you might find... interesting.-said, taking the remote control and turning on the TV. The CNN was broadcasting.
In recent news, the Presidents meeting of the MERCOSUR held in Montevideo, held an astonishing resolution, who was today presented into the UN General Assembly and the Security Council. in it the 8 members of the MERCOSUR, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Venezuela, presented a draft to the territorial claim of the Antártica. Not only the until now overlapped claims in the Antarctic peninsula have been addressed by Chile and Argentina, but also three other countries, Brazil, Uruguay and Peru, have claimed territory in the area. This is dismissing the United kingdom claims in the region, through the Falklands and other insular territories in the Southern Atlantic Ocean. The international community started to support this claims: so far all Latin America, with México leading, supports this amend to the Antarctic Treaty, and the BRICS nations support it two, mostly Russia, South Africa and India. South African president also stated they will recognize the MERCOSUR claims and present one of their own, which immediately the MERCOSUR members respond they would support.
-What the heck is going on? Since when they are all so interested in ice? -Why is it so important to us?- asked O'Neill to the aide.

-...also the memorandum for the mineral exploitation of the white continent. According to a source, a new mineral was discovered by the Argentinian scientist in the area, who could be used for the semiconductor industry. Both Argentina and Chile have most of the world lithium reserves, and this could be a new economic boom for the developing nations...
-New mineral?-asked the IOA member.
- Oh, for crying out loud! They found naquadah!-cried O'Neill.
-Of course!...that's why the Mexicans are supporting them! and the South Africans and the Russians!
-We need to stop this soon, or we would have World War III but with naqquadah warheads!-screamed O'Neill, and after that step up and roamed out of the office.
