So, to expand my story 'Dark Souls: Embers of Remnant' I decided to put a side story. Like, for example, Star Wars Vision and Halo Legends. Get what I am saying? Never mind. I just want to write since I have many ideas for this story. I do not want to focus on the main story. Rather... you know what, this chapter is pretty much self explanatory. Let's get onto the story Shall we? One more thing, they may hold spoilers for my main story. Just saying.

Dark Souls: Tales of the Other Embers

Prologue

These Embers tell Stories of their Own

The sound of a hammer hitting metal could be heard in a surrounding with multiple small green particles moving about. All of which were moving as if it was expecting a new life. The sound grew louder as the source came from an individual working on an anvil as it was forging something. The individual was tall. It appears to be mechanical in nature, which bears an almost robotic skeletal appearance. Their eye sockets look to be akin to that of a Hollow, and their head are made up of several segmented metallic plates. In back of their exposed spine is a contorted wooden trunk that branches outward to resemble a tree. Their clothes had a leather apron tied behind the neck and cinched with a belt around the waist, a pair of large gloves, and a blue bandana tied around their forehead from which a chain is draped.

The being continued to do their work on the anvil until they stopped for some reason. They turn around to look at something as if they didn't expect a visitor. "Oh. I didn't expect anyone to be here anytime soon." They spoke. It was a female's voice that was talking to someone. Yet despite this unexpected surprise, they placed the hammer down and gently presented themself. "Welcome to my workshop." They put down the hammer and the metal they were working on to go somewhere within this strange realm.

Walking a few kilometers away, they arrived at an open furnace that was emitting multiple embers. Embers that produced new life. The being had their hand over a single Ember and they began to talk. "As survivors of the Old Era reawakens..." It shows the Ashen One, or rather Ash, emerging from the ground while wearing a simply knight set that has got a few scratches and charred parts. "They either secretly integrate into the New Era." The being let go of that Ember. It passes another Ember that shows an "Atlas Soldier" kicking Winter Schnee off an edge of a cliffside inside of a cave. "Or they resume their role in the Old Era." The Ember disappear to reveal another, where it shows a beautiful woman with white hair that had a metallic ornate blindfold and wore a black dress sitting somewhere in the land of Remnant. The only thing that kept her company was the tiny flame that was lit on a candle.

The being sat down on their desk with wooden sculptures that belong to those from both the Old and New Era. They looked at two uncarved wood with interest. One was a mix of dark blue, black, and white. The other was white and black. They solemnly let out a small smile as they looked at the two, who were from the Old Era, lost their dearest friend from a naturalistic darkness. They proceeded to get the first piece of wood before they began to carve. While doing, they explained what these orange particles were. "Embers represent One's story from the Old Era, as well as the new. As they fade away and others are created to take its place, it is my duty to not let their stories be forgotten."

The Blacksmith momentarily stopped as they looked at the wood they were holding. "As with the case with an Assassin to an Old Lord and a Wolf of her dearest Companion. Both of whom still roam around here in the Ever After, still looking for their new purpose." They then proceeded to continue carving the wood to make a figure out of it.

Short chapter, I am aware. But this is how, in my take, prologues for types like Dark Souls and RWBY IN-UNIVERSE Tales should go like. To clarify what the Old Era and New Era are:

Old Era: Age of Fire (Dark Souls I to III)

New Era: Age of Remnant (RWBY)

A few interesting details caught my eyes. "Atlas Soldier" kicking Winter Schnee off an edge of a cliffside inside of a cave. A beautiful woman with white hair that had a metallic ornate blindfold and wore a black dress sitting somewhere in the land of Remnant. And an Assassin to an Old Lord and a Wolf of her dearest Companion. Both of whom still roam around here in the Ever After, still looking for their new purpose. All of whom were natives to the Old Era and I wonder who they are. There will be more to write on. But I will not reveal to them just yet.

Well, perhaps this story will tell. For now, enjoy this chapter and I will see you in the next updated chapter.
