Kurose smiled as Eorna dragged him into the city. She had pulled him along as fast as she possibly could, despite his protests that he could move on his own. She was just that excited to get there. A few people looked at them weirdly, seeming to notice how they came from the direction of the castle, but they didn't seem to care that much, as shown by how they got back to what they were doing. It wasn't like they would realize they were heroes.

Eorna had her dagger in a small sheath on her waist, and a look around showed various people carrying weapons of every kind. From maces and hammers to greatswords and bows. Eorna wasn't very out of place with her weapon on her waist. As for Kurose, he had switched back to his starter amulet, tucking it under his shirt so that only the chain of it was visible. However, he was concerned that he stood out because he didn't have any sort of weapon at his side.

He didn't get much time to think that over, with Eorna stopping as they reached a stall. She looked over everything quickly, holding a few things after asking permission from the owner of the stall, smiling as she did. She picked them up and put them down gently before moving onto another stall, her grip on Kurose having been forgotten.

"Quite an excitable one, isn't she?" The stall owner spoke.

"She is," Kurose easily agreed. "Childish as well, but it's what makes her… well her. I wouldn't change it if I could."

The shopkeeper simply smirked at him, and Kurose stared at her in confusion for a few moments. He simply shook it off, thinking of it as the shopkeeper just being strange before moving on. He looked at a few of the stalls Eorna visited. He was slowly trailing after her, taking his time as he went through it all.

The stalls seemed to be split in what they were selling, with no visible system to them. It didn't matter though, Kurose was simply enjoying seeing what each stall had to offer. One that caught his eye was a stall full of toys. It had something that looked similar to a gun.

"What does this do?" Kurose asked the stall owner.

He beamed as he picked it up. "Ah, this is my best work so far!" He spoke eagerly, clearly proud of it. "If you look at the bottom of it, you can see the Charme, correct?"

Kurose turned it over, nodding his head. "I can. What's it for?"

"Well, the Charme shoots out water you see, and it is dependent on how much mana you force into it! Of course, since it is primarily made for children to play with, I wrote a limitation on it. I don't want anyone getting seriously injured by it!"

Kurose nodded, looking it over. "But… What is it? All I know is that it has a Charme that shoots water."

"Oh, well I call it a water shooter! Not very creative, I know" The man spoke with a small smile before continuing on. "You see this at the end? If you rotate it, you can change the output of it. Usually, it will be a simple straight line, but you can change it to shoot out in a circle! I'm still trying to figure out how to add more shapes to it, but I've been told that many children have enjoyed this!"

Kurose looked over it again. It looked similar to a water gun from his world now that he considered it. Just without the plastic and bright colors.

"Huh. That's… pretty cool actually. How'd you get the idea?" Kurose asked curiously.

"Oh, well, no harm telling people I suppose. It was an old blueprint. Found it in a box with all of my grandfather's possessions that he believed were important. He never ended up being able to make it, but he obviously wanted to. I just decided I would try it. Was a pain to make."

Kurose nodded his head at that. "I can imagine, but the fact you've done it, you must be proud of yourself, right?"

"Haha, you are right about that. I'm certainly proud of what I made here, but I still think I can do better. Currently, it requires the kid to know how to feel their mana. Not the easiest of things for a child."

He simply nodded at that. He could agree with that, considering he hadn't even been able to feel his own mana. He had to have it forcefully opened to actually use Charmes.

"Well, it's been nice talking to you, but I need to catch up with my friend." Kurose spoke politely, stepping away.

"Of course, of course! Please, feel free to come by again!" the man spoke with a smile.

He turned his head, looking around for Eorna. He saw that she was at another stall, and he slowly made his way over. Eorna seemed to be holding several items, though Kurose couldn't exactly make out what they were from where he was. Yet, as he got closer, Eorna seemed to dash off again towards another stall.

"So much for checking everything out together…" He spoke to himself quietly. He couldn't hold it against her though. If he had more energy, he would probably be doing the same. But considering everything, he was fine just walking around at his own pace. If Eorna needed him, then she would come get him, no doubt about it.

He moved to the stall Eorna had previously been looking at, noticing everything on display. There were various things, ranging from hair clips, all with various gems in them, to decorated headbands, along with hair pins.

"Oh, hello dear." An elderly lady spoke from behind the stall. "Come to view my wares, have you?"

Kurose simply nodded his head. "I have, if that's fine with you?"

The elderly lady simply chuckled at that. "Of course it is dearie. I wouldn't be running this stall otherwise! Please, pick up whatever you want."

Kurose looked over everything, ignoring the headbands for the time being, choosing instead to focus on the hairpins. There were only a total of four out on display, but they looked beautiful.

Each of them shared the same initial design, a long, thin piece of material, which Kurose was unsure of. Near the top is where the design differed for each. The first one that caught his eye was one with a rose seemingly attached to the hairpin, made out of the same material as the hairpin itself. Another was a small snake near the top, seeming to be wrapped around it with the head resting on the very end. Those were the main two that caught his attention.

"Oh? Something caught your eye? Feel free to hold them. I find it's better to get a feel for them!"

"If you are sure." Kurose spoke, uncertainty tinging his voice. He reached out, gently taking the hairpin with the rose on it.

Weapon copied!

Obsidian Rose Hairpin unlocked!

Kurose almost dropped the hairpin. Had he just copied the hairpin? It did make sense. It was an accessory, so it fell under his weapons jurisdiction, but how was he supposed to use this to fight? A question for later.

He wasn't going to check the stats of it just yet. Maybe later, when he had nothing else to do.

"What is this made of? I've never seen or felt anything like this before." Kurose questioned, despite having just found out what it was made of.

The elderly lady smiled. "Ah, if I recall correctly, it's made of obsidian. From what I recall, a young man sold it back to me, about six years ago. Just before the civil war started."

Kurose shifted it in his hands. It seemed to have been made with care. There wasn't a single scratch or blemish on it. He continued to rotate it, looking at it from every angle.

It really was a work of art. The person who made it must have spent countless amounts of hours molding it into this shape. The intricate details on the rose alone would have driven Kurose mad if he had done it himself. It was a pain adding patterns to a scarf. At least with them, he could simply go back on himself if he needed to. With something like this, it surely wasn't that easy. Even as he looked at the hairpin, he couldn't help but smile. Maybe it could be a gift to someone? His thoughts wandered to Eorna. She didn't seem to own much for herself. As far as Kurose was aware, she only really owned the clothes that she had, and the armor they had bought during the wave.

Maybe she would appreciate this? Something simple could be good. It also matched her hair color. Maybe she could even try a new hairstyle? Kurose smiled at that thought before speaking up.

"Can I ask how much this is?"

"Hm. Oh, that will be 45 Serena dear."

Kurose put the hairpin down on the stall, reaching into the pouch of coins he held.

"Uh…" Kurose pulled out a Sika coin, a nervous smile on his face. "I only have Sika coins on me currently. Is that fine?"

The elderly lady seemed to hum for a moment.

"I suppose it is, dear. Just give me a moment to count out your change." She spoke politely.

Kurose put the Sika coin down as the woman seemed to pull out her own coin pouch. It was considerably bigger than his own. She began to pull out some silver-looking coins, putting them down on the stall in stacks of ten.

She kept humming as she did so, a small smile on her face as she put down the final stack.

"There should be 55 Serena coins here dear. If you aren't sure, please feel free to count them up yourself." As she spoke, she bought out a small bag, offering it to Kurose. "For the Hairpin."

Kurose took it, slipping the hairpin into it before responding. "It's fine! I trust you enough not to do anything like that!"

The lady simply smiled at him. "I'm glad you've decided I'm worthy of such trust. I hope whoever you brought that hairpin for likes it, dear."

"So do I." He spoke politely. He went to walk away before stopping.

This place sold plenty of accessories, so he should probably get an idea of whenever she is around. It would give him quite a few more weapon forms, and someone to talk to. Plus, if Eorna did like it, he could always return and buy a few more things.

"How often are you here?"

"Every day, excluding the weekends I suppose. Why do you ask?"

"I was just curious. I'll hopefully see you again!"

"Of course. You are welcome back anytime dearie." She waved him off, and Kurose began his walk with a small smile.

Kurose managed to catch up with Eorna, who was eagerly looking over a stall.

"Oooh! There's so much stuff here! Look Kurose!" She spoke quickly.

He looked at the stall, noticing a wide variety of food. Some of it he recognized, such as the croissants, though they likely had different names than in his world.

"Hey, Eorna. Can you read what that says?" He asked quietly, pointing towards the croissant.

"Hm? Oh, you mean the Proisan?" She asked curiously. Kurose simply nodded his head.

"Yeah. It looks like something from my world. That's all." He responded quietly.

Eorna nodded her head, and after a moment, spoke up. "Can I buy two Proisans?" She asked quickly.

Kurose simply stared at her in shock, watching as she bought the Croissants, or he should say Proisans. The man got two separate bags, giving them both to Eorna with a smile. Eorna thanked him before moving away from the stall. Once she had walked a distance away before turning to look at Kurose.

"Come on! Let's explore some more!" She spoke with a smile.

Kurose walked up beside her, and she offered one of the Proisans to him. "Here, take it."

After a moment of hesitation, he took it, nodding his head at her in thanks. Kurose took it out of the bag, looking it over. It seemed exactly like a croissant. It really was weird, seeing something like this in this fantasy world. But then again, they had already had past heroes. This was probably just some aspect of their influence that had made it to the present day. Not that it made it any less shocking for Kurose. Would any of his actions even be remembered far into the future?

Kurose decided not to focus on it for the time being. Being out here with Eorna was supposed to be relaxing. He wasn't supposed to be thinking about stuff like that. He decided to take a bite from the proisan to get his mind off of everything else. With a small, whispered thanks, he bit into it. After chewing for a moment and then swallowing, Eorna spoke up.

"Is it good?"

Kurose nodded his head slowly. "It… It is. It doesn't taste exactly the same as the ones from my world, but it still tastes good. Just… sweeter than I remember."

"Well, it would make sense, right?" Eorna spoke questioningly. Kurose looked at her in confusion, and she continued. "Well, they might use different stuff here compared to your world? I mean, there's going to be a few things that are the same here and there, but it's all going to be slightly different, right?

Kurose thought about it for a moment. That was true. They probably used different stuff to make the proisan. Yet, as he thought about it, he could still only feel that same loneliness as the day he had been summoned. Even when things seemed so close to something from his world, it was still entirely different.

"Kurose!" Eorna shouted, snapping him out of his thoughts.

She began to point to something, and Kurose looked toward it. Again, there were words he could not read on it.

"What does it say?" Kurose asked her.

"Oh, I forgot you can't read." She spoke with a small laugh. "It says Bartholomew's Weapons and Accessories! Think of just how much stuff we could find in there!" She spoke excitedly, a grin on her face.

Kurose hesitated for a moment. Going in there would be nice. They could get plenty of new weapon forms, but this was supposed to be a relaxing day for them.

"Hmm, I'm not sure…" Kurose spoke quietly. "I mean… we could always come back here tomorrow?" He suggested.

"Nuh uh! I wanna go in there now!" She exclaimed.

Kurose simply nodded his head, not having the energy to defy Eorna. And so, he was dragged into the store.

When the pair entered the store, Kurose let out a noise of shock at just how much was inside the store. Every square inch of the place seemed to be stocked up to sell whatever it could, whilst still giving people who came into the room to move around. He almost expected the shop owner to greet them upon entering the store, much like the shop in Horteni, but he had to remind himself that this was a bigger place. The owner was probably already dealing with other people in the store, and couldn't spare the time to check with everyone. As it was, there were already a decent amount of people in the store.

"Kurose! There's so many things we can copy!" Eorna whispered excitedly to him.

"Yeah, there is. I didn't think they would have this much. I thought it would have been something like back in Horteni." He responded.

"So did I! But there's sooo many new daggers! And the Accessories!" She let out a gasp, quickly running over to a basket and picking up a scarf. Kurose didn't think they would have scarves in a store like this. Then again, it was a Weapons and Accessories shop. Scarves counted as accessories.

"Try this!" She spoke with a smile, and Kurose simply took it in his hands.

Weapon copied!

Orxite Scarf

Rarity: Uncommon

Equip Bonus: +3 defense, "Protecting Scarf"

Gem Slots 2 [O, O]

Kurose let out a whistle as he looked at the weapon form. It was pretty good, but compared to the weapons he had gotten from the wave boss, it just couldn't compete. Though, the skill sounded like it would be useful.

"Did you get something good?" She asked curiously.

He looked around for a moment, making sure no one could see them before speaking. "Yeah. It's a new skill that will probably be handy later on. If you go to the weapons section and copy daggers, I'll stay here and copy what I can, okay?"

Eorna nodded her head excitedly before walking over to where Kurose assumed the weapons were.

He let out a sigh before turning back to all the boxes. "Alright. Let's do this quickly I suppose…"

The faster he did this, the faster he and Eorna could continue on with their day out. With that in mind, he quickly started to go through them all, copying whatever he could in the hopes of getting out of here faster.

Kurose let out a yawn. Surprisingly enough, Bartholomew's Accessories and Weapons store did not have a massive amount of Accessories, seeming more focused on weapons. It was a shame, but Kurose had to admit the accessories they did have were decent.

They obviously were not better than the wave bosses weapon forms, but they still gave various skills and general equip bonuses, which would all be useful. Though, from all of them, he had four he wanted to unlock immediately.

The first was the Orxite scarf he had copied whilst Eorna was here, which gave him the skill protective scarf. He had no idea what it would do, but if he had to guess based on the name, it would probably grant him a way to protect himself or someone else with a scarf. He would probably have to test it out at a later point, like most of the other skills.

The next skill was called Flame shot. A simplistic name. If he had to guess, it was probably just going to be fire being shot out from the copied weapon form, "Ring of Fire". It was a simple-looking ring, with flame patterns down the side with a small crystal at the top, which seemed to house a tiny ember inside of it.

The third was from the Obsidian Rose Hairpin he had copied earlier, the one that he had bought for Eorna. He hadn't realized that it would have given him a skill, and based on the skill name, Hairpin, He had no idea what it would do, and he didn't feel like exactly trying it out in the store after all.

The fourth was a skill called Unburdening thread. Again, he had absolutely no idea what it would do. You would think they would have some sort of description of what they would do, like some video games, but no. It made the user find out. What if it was some sort of skill that just took a chunk of the user's health? If that were the case, then it would be horrible to use whilst already injured!

Kurose let out a small sigh as he stood back up, making sure everything was in the boxes before putting them back. Did accessories even serve a purpose in this world other than being the entire theme of the holy weapon? He found it weird that they even sold things like rings and scarves alongside weapons. Maybe it would be something to ask Matthias or Eorna.

With that thought pushed to the side, he made his way over to Eorna, watching as she seemed to put down another dagger before speaking up.

"You done?" He asked. Eorna seemed to jump around in shock.

"Kurose? Don't scare me like that!" She spoke with a frown. "But yeah, I am done. There were a few daggers, but nothing special. I only got some equip bonuses for speed and attack. It seems like they mostly focused on swords and that in there."

"I see. You reckon they have more daggers in Dajero?" Kurose asked her. "It is the country that worships the Dagger after all."

Eorna seemed to think about it for a moment. "That's true. They probably have plenty of daggers there… do you think Matthias would take us there?" She asked curiously.

"Maybe? I mean, we could always check the city he has linked, but we would probably have to travel to other villages if we wanted to find other stuff."

"Hm… yeah, you are right. Well, I guess we'll just have to do that during the time between waves! Plus, if we get to a higher level, we can unlock the portal weapons ourselves!"

Kurose had completely forgotten about that. "Yeah, you're right! We need to hurry up and reach… what level was it?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Uhh… I don't know?" Eorna answered just as nervously. The pair stared at each other for a moment before bursting out with laughter.

"Come on. Let's get out of here. Let's just have a good rest of the day, alright?"

"Yup! Come on Kurose!" Instead of dragging him by the arm, Eorna instead opted to loop her arm around his, linking it with a smile.

The pair wandered through the city with no goal in mind. Kurose's main thought was when he could give the hairpin to Eorna. Maybe at the end of the day? He continued to think it over, only stopping to nod his head as Eorna pointed something else out. The things Eorna pointed out ranged from a particularly interesting stall to some rather impressive entertainers that were on the street. One even had a small, winged serpent flying through the air around him, chasing its own tail and managing to successfully hit several thrown balls back at the entertainer.

After some time, the duo paused as a voice spoke up. It seemed to be the same for the rest of the people in the area, as they all turned to face the person who spoke.

"Come one, come all! For just a limited time, the Odrezzer's magnificent beasts show has come to town!"

Eorna looked up to Kurose with excitement. Kurose had to admit, it was a tempting offer, but just how much was it going to cost?

"Come see the Odrezzers magnificent beasts for the small price of 3 Serena coins!"

Well, there's the answer to my question Kurose thought to himself. He shook his head, turning to look at Eorna, who seemed to be bouncing on the spot.

"Come on then. Let's go see it, shall we?" Kurose spoke with a smile.

Eorna cheered as the pair walked up to the man.

"Ah! Come to see Odrezzers magnificent beasts, have you?" He asked, smiling at the pair.

"We have. You said it's 3 Serena coins, right?" Kurose asked, using his free hand to rummage around his coin pouch.

"Indeed I did! Three Serena coins, and you will get to see the show of a lifetime!" He declared a smile on his face.

Kurose proceeded to pull out six Serena coins, putting them in the man's hand. He simply spared a glance at the coins before bowing.

"Just through there, my good sir and lady! I hope you do enjoy the show." He spoke sincerely.

"I'm sure we will!" Eorna spoke up excitedly. "Come on Kurose, let's get some good seats!"

Once the duo were gone, the man smiled. "Ah, young love. How beautiful it is." He seemed to wander off into his thoughts, only to be shaken out of them by another person coming up to him.

"Ah, come to see Odrezzers magnificent beasts, have you?"

The pair sat down in their seats, and shortly after a silence fell over the area. Before Kurose could question what was going on, a singular light seemed to shine down onto someone standing in the center of the area.

"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming to my show." The person spoke, bowing deeply.

Hushed whispers started going through the crowd even as the person stood back up, a smile on their face.

"My name is Odrezzer, and as I have already said. I would like to thank you all. Without your kind patronage, I, along with my fellows would not be able to continue this show! But enough about that! Let's get into what you want to see, hm?"

With that, he snapped his fingers, and two creatures seemed to dash out of the shadows. They span around Odrezzer for a moment, seemingly chasing each other before stopping, electing to instead climb up and rest on his shoulders.

"These two are perhaps my most well-known companions! A pair of Illinkins that were the first of my companions I hatched!"

Shouts came from the crowd as Odrezzer spun around, the Illinkins seeming to wave at people in the crowd.

"Eorna, what are Illinkins?" He asked, trying not to disturb anyone around them.

"I don't know. But they must be popular, the way some people seem to be shouting." She whispered back.

Kurose took a chance to look at them, noticing several distinct features. The first was the rather long claws they had. However, they seemed to be sitting at an angle so that the claws would dig into Odrezzer.

Another unique thing about them was their tails. When Odrezzer spun around again, showing off the Illinkins, he noticed that one seemed thicker towards the top, seeming almost like a club. The other one's tail seemed to get thinner to the top, reminding him almost of a sword.

Odrezzer spun around once more before stopping.

"Now, let's bring some of the newest members of our group in!" He clapped his hands, and the sounds of several things rolling across the floor could be heard.

"Say hello to our newest members, the Spinling Troupe!" He cheered out.

The Spinlings all charged forward, seeming excited. They did as the Illinkins did, seeming to spin around the man. He clapped again, and they seemed to freeze before turning on each other.

They all seemed to spin on the spot for a moment, and Odrezzer took that moment to speak.

"For our first act, Both Millet and Hull will be mock fighting! You'll get to see the diversity of the Illinkins, and experience how they fight among themselves all whilst using their natural surroundings to gain advantages!"

Once he finished that, the Spinlings all seemed to ram into each other, being launched across the small arena at odd distances.

The two Illinkins jumped off of his shoulders, running to different sides of the arena. Once Odrezzer lowered his hands the two charged. Kurose wasn't sure which was which, but he was curious.

The one with the club-like tail seemed to home in on the sword-tailed one immediately. The club-tailed one seemed to use its tail to knock the Spinlings towards the sword-tailed one, using the moment of distraction to launch at its fellow Illinkin.

"And Millet is on the offensive! As expected of a club-tailed Illinkin! What will Hull do in response?" He called out.

Shouts could be heard from the crowd, seeming to cheer on both Hull and Millet respectively. Kurose took the opportunity to look at Eorna, who was watching the showing with interest.

During the short time that Kurose had looked away from the fight, Hull had managed to bounce back. He had jumped off one of the Spinlings, seemingly surprising the other Illinkin and putting pressure on Millet as it slashed at its fellow Illinkin with its tail, lashing out at its legs and its arms.

"Ooh! Hull lands some pretty good hits! But unfortunately, there will be no conclusion to this fight! Here at Odrezzers magnificent beasts, we don't like seeing our companions hurt. But let's say that Hull won!" He spoke with a smile. "Hull, Millet! Come here! Spinling Troupe, reform!" He called out.

Despite the small amount of boos that Odrezzer seemed to be getting from the crowd, Kurose had to admit he had respect for him. He knows that some performers would have likely let the monsters fight to the death, deeming it a good show for everyone involved, but Odrezzer seemed to care about the creatures in his service.

The two Illinkins ran up him, regaining their positions on his shoulders, whilst the Spinlings gathered into one big circle, simply spinning around Odrezzer. The man fished out two healing crystals, handing them to the two Illinkins.

They let out some small, unintelligible noise, seemingly thanking him before crushing the crystals in their hands. A green glow surrounded them, and the injuries both held, however minor they may be, disappeared.

"Now, whilst these two get some rest, how about I introduce you to the other three members of our group! Salazar, Huros, Blaze!" He called out.

Whilst the Illinkins moved back to the shadows, two figures seemed to dart past them. They seemed to glide around the outer ring of the arena before resting next to the man.

"Say hello to our Vindr Glaedrs. Salazar!"

Salazar seemed to let out a small roar, its body seeming to sway side to side as Kurose looked it over. It had a long, serpentine body, with feathers coating the entirety of it. Small holes were spaced at even intervals on its body. It also seemed to have no legs or arms.

"And Lundwick!" The other Vindr Glaedr let out a similar roar, though it seemed smaller than Salazar.

From behind Dresser, a glowing orange spot seemed to crawl along the floor, before rising up behind the man. He kept a calm smile as the orange spot seemed to form into a different shape. The orange spot was now floating, small rings of flame spinning around it diagonally.

"And hello to our favorite flaming sphere, Blaze the Orichalch!"

Blaze didn't seem to let out a noise, seeming to stay silent as the crowd wondered what was going to happen next.

"Now, for this next act, I am going to need two members of our lovely audience to come out and help me! Please, raise your hand if you wish to join us here!"

Almost immediately, Eorna raised her hand, as did seemingly half of the crowd, all shouting over each other. Kurose slowly raised his hand. He wasn't sure what they were going to have him do were he to be selected, but he was curious.

Odrezzer seemed to look over everyone, his finger being pointed towards the crowd as if he was trying to pick out someone before it eventually stopped, pointing directly towards Kurose and Eorna.

"You two up there! The boy with blue-tipped hair, and the girl with the dagger! Do you want to join me down here?" He called out. The crowd turned to look at them, with Eorna getting up almost immediately.

Kurose could see she was desperate to get down there as soon as possible, but she seemed to wait for him, which Kurose was thankful for.

The pair eventually made their way into the central area, with Odrezzer greeting them.

"Hello! Thank you again, for offering to join us for this next act! Now, here is what's going to happen…"

Eorna nodded her head as Odrezzer explained what the next act entailed, whilst Kurose's face continued to pale.

The premise of it was as such. Kurose and Eorna would both be riding a Vindr Glaedr, which they could apparently do. Kurose caught glances of the Vindr Glaedrs having saddles fitted onto them. It didn't ease his concerns. They were big, but were they actually strong enough to carry another person?

Despite his own concerns, he decided to trust in the man. He seemed to have his monster's best interests at heart after all.

Once they had been riding the Vindr Glaedrs for a short time, Blaze would be using its flames to form hoops for the pair to go through. The Vindr Glaedrs would use the wind they pushed out of the holes in their body to direct the flames in certain directions, with the end result being a Spinling made of fire in the sky by the end of the act.

Kurose wasn't sure if that was how stuff would work, and his scepticism seemed to leak onto his face as Odrezzer spoke.

"Don't worry! It will work, trust me! All you have to do is make sure you don't fall off Salazar!"

"Fine, fine. Do you want us to get on now, or?" Kurose questioned.

"Yes yes! Please do! We are on a tight schedule after all!"

Kurose nodded his head. "Be careful Eorna."

"I will! Now go on! Get onto the Vindr Glaedr!" She spoke excitedly before running towards Lundwick.

Kurose simply nodded his head, moving towards the Vindr Glaedr he was going to ride. He paused in front of it as it seemed to move closer to him, seeming to sniff him for a moment before letting out a small noise.

"Gao! Gao Gao!" It seemed almost excited as it moved to his side, rubbing into him.

Kurose let his hand brush against the Vindr Glaedrs body, feeling the soft feathers brush against his hand as it moved past him.

"So sorry about that! I don't know what got into him!" Someone spoke, running up to him. "He's not usually like this, and I hope he hasn't hurt you!"

"No, no, it's fine! He just seems like he wanted to play or something." Kurose spoke kindly, a small smile on his face.

"Still, I'm sorry again! Come on Salazar. Lower yourself slightly please." The man spoke.

Kurose watched as the Vindr Glaedr moved from his side, lowering itself to the ground. It wasn't fully touching the ground, seemingly to float above it slightly.

"Right, if you just come and climb onto the saddle, I'll make sure your legs are strapped in, and you should be good to go."

Kurose did as he asked, climbing onto the leathery saddle the Vindr Glaedr had on. The man sorted everything out with ease, nodding his head as he looked it over.

"Right. That should be all of it. You see those loops at the front of the saddle?" He spoke, pointing them out. "If you want to make 100% sure you are safe, put your arms through them. They will help keep you in place. Salazar shouldn't be too rough, but it's still better safe than sorry, alright?"

"I've got it. Thanks for the help."

"It's no problem. Just enjoy yourself, alright?" With that said, the man moved back, and Kurose focused on Salazar beneath him.

Even as he focused on the Vindr Glaedr, Odrezzer spoke up.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" The curtains started to rise up, revealing the crowd behind them.

"Our two brave participants will now be riding through the sky on our Vindr Glaedrs, with the intent to create an image with the fire produced by Blaze! Salazar, Lundwick, Blaze! Are you all ready?"

Salazar and Lundwick both made noises. "Gao Gao!" They both seemed enthusiastic.

Again, Blaze made no noise, more flames simply seeming to rotate about it. With a snap of Odrezzers fingers, the Vindr Glaedrs began to rise. Kurose gripped onto the saddle, hugging his body against it as he closed his eyes.

Distantly, he could hear Eorna cheer, likely enjoying riding on the Vindr Glaedr. Once he felt the Vindr Glaedr stop moving, he opened his eyes, gulping as he looked down to see that he was now in the air fully.

"Let the show begin!" Odrezzer shouted.

Kurose only had a moment for his eyes to widen in surprise before a ring of fire appeared in front of him and Salazar. Before he could even let out a noise, Salazar seemed to dash forward, with Kurose gripping onto the saddle for dear life. His eyes shut once more as the Vindr Glaedr dashed through the flaming circle, but he couldn't stop the laugh escaping his throat.

He didn't know whether it was a laugh out of fear or joy, but he decided not to focus on it, deciding to instead to try and enjoy the moment.

Kurose and Eorna eventually managed to get off the Vindr Glaedrs, making their way back to their seats.

The show went on for a bit longer after that, but eventually, Odrezzer called everything back, bowing deeply as he did.

"Again, I thank you, generous people of Palinfa! Without your patronage, this show would not be able to continue as it is! Please, have a good rest of the day!"

Cheers broke out, even as the curtain finally dropped around the center of the room, taking Odrezzer and his monsters away from their sight.

Eorna turned to Kurose, practically vibrating in her seat. "That was amazing!" She spoke excitedly.

"I can't believe we actually got to ride the Vindr Glaedrs either! They were soooo soft! It almost felt like I was touching a cloud!"

Kurose smiled at that, nodding his head. "Yeah, it was pretty cool." He responded. It made him want a Vindr Glaedr as a pet more than ever, especially now that he knew he could ride them!

Eorna seemed to hum happily by his side as they slowly left the area.

The pair walked in silence for a bit, simply taking in some more of the city's sights. The pair of them stood in silence for a moment before Eorna spoke.

"Hey, Kurose?" Eorna spoke slowly.

"Hm? What's up?"

"Are you sure you are okay? I'm not being too annoying, am I?" She spoke quietly.

Kurose stared down at her in confusion. Where has she got that thought from?

"It's just…I've been kind of dragging you around, deciding what we do and all that and I just feel like I'm being too pushy…and-"

She went to continue, but Kurose simply patted her head, shaking his own. "Eorna, it's fine. If I was on my own, I probably wouldn't have done anything like this. Plus, I have enjoyed everything you've taken me to see, so again, don't worry about it."

He stopped patting her head, and Eorna simply nodded, with the duo walking around in a comfortable silence.

Meanwhile, Kurose was thinking. Just what caused Eorna to think she was being annoying? He hadn't done or said anything that could be linked back to that, right?

He continued to think it over, the duo simply walking through the city.

After a bit more walking, Eorna stopped him, pointing at a sign. Again, Kurose could not read it, and he said as much to Eorna.

"Oh! Um, sorry! I forgot again! It's just, I think it will have something you want in there! Come on!"

With that, the duo entered another store, one with a small egg painted onto the sign hanging above the front door.

And the chapter is done! With Kurose and Eorna having had their fun for the day. Hopefully it was somewhat decent, not really the best at this sort of content.

Sorry for the delay in chapter. Something just felt off with the chapter. It still does, but despite how much I have looked through it, I just cant find what seems off. If you can figure it out, just send a message or something I guess.
