MASH is the property of its' creators and syndicators.
Colonel Flagg walked right into Potter's office.
Klinger entered, "Sorry sir, he just walked right past me."
Potter replied, "That's ok, Son. You never know what the wind might will carry."
"So," Flagg said, "You remember that I am the wind, even though I will never admit to it."
"Colonel," Potter followed, "Well, since you've blown yourself in here, what can I do for you?"
"The Black Market," Flagg stated, "We believe that they have been planning on stealing from supplies.
Colonel Potter replied, "Do you have any more specific information?"
Flagg leaned over Potter's desk, "The black market doesn't have to be doing something to be doing something."
"Hmm, that's new," Potter noted, "And please stop leaning over my desk. I feel like I'm being interrogated."
Flagg backed down. He told Potter that he'd gotten six months of supply requisitions, and that nothing had been stolen, "what makes you think the black market is going to make a move? "
"
"Colonel, I have no specifics on that. That's suspicious as it can be. The fact that the 4077th is the only MASH unit not having issues with the Black Market makes me think. Didn't you notice that nothing was going on?" Flagg said.
Potter stood up, "Flagg, how would I know something isn't happening? We've had no inventory issues. The few times items weren't sent it was a clerical error at ICOR. An easy fix."
"Colonel," Flagg raised his voice, "That's how the black market starts. The lull you to sleep by doing nothing."
"Flagg," Potter was getting angry, "You are looking for something or someone who isn't even there. I've been in this Army since World War I. When the black market wants to take something, they find a way to take it . I know you'll investigate even though you don't have to. But if you are interrupting or interfering with our work, you'll have to answer to whoever it is that sent you."
"It's very important that no one else knows why I'm here," Flagg noted.
"Wny is that?" Potter queried.
"That's classified," Flagg replied strongly.
"Well, since I don't know, it shouldn't be too hard not to tell people," Potter replied.
"Colonel, Flagg replied, "That's what I want. Nothing."
"We'll do our best to see that you get it," Potter declared.
Flagg then left Potter's office and walked into the camp. From what Klinger could see, it looked as though the Colonel was going to the mess tent. Klinger then returned to Colonel Potter's office.
"Colonel," Klinger began, "I can see why I didn't get that Section 8 when I was trying to get one. Flagg's crazy and he's still in the Army."
"Max, the Army moves in mysterious ways," Potter grinned.
