A/N: Before I start this chapter, I just want to say that I'm going to have to make the difficult and heartbreaking decision to kill off Julius Kore's mother in this chapter of this story. The reason why I'm doing this is because I want to limit the amount of characters I want to put in my story. It's bad enough I have three human characters in this story with Savannah Greenwood, Julius Kore and his brother Tommy plus the characters from the Sly Cooper games. Having Julius's mother live and for her to have to join the Cooper gang in their Clockwerk part heist would be too much for the plot of this story to handle.
Including her would be character oversaturation. It's bad enough I've read many Sly Cooper stories where the authors feel free to insert over a bajillion characters into their stories. There has to be a limit as to how many characters you should include in your story. The worst example of character oversaturation in a FanFiction story is Jumbochamploonrules's Sly Cooper story: A Human Among Animal Thieves. Holy shit! The amount of characters he has in that story is astronomical. That's beyond oversaturation of characters. Holy shit! He should've killed off some of them. It's ridiculous for Jumbochamploonrules to have that many characters in his Sly Cooper story. That's when I mean about character oversaturation. No. There has to be a limit. Jumbochamploonrules shouldn't have had so many characters in his story. That's a bit much.
That's why I have to kill off Julius Kore's mother in this story. To limit the amount of characters I want to put in my story. I know it will be a controversial decision to kill off the main character's mother, but like I said, I want to limit the amount of characters I have in this story. It's bad enough I have to juggle three human OC characters in this story as it is. I don't need to add any extra baggage to this story. If any of you have a problem with me killing off Julius Kore's mother in this chapter of my story, let me know in the review section.
Disclaimer: This chapter contains content of matricide and a bit of violence. If you don't like the concept of killing a mother of a fictional character in a story, I'd advise that you don't read this chapter. Reader discretion is advised.
The first thing Martha Kore saw before waking up was that she was in some sort of dungeon like room. She tried to get up from the where she was laying at, only for her to realize that she couldn't move either her arms or legs. The Caucasian human woman was strapped spread eagled to a gurney. Her Burger King uniform was still on her. She had no idea where she was at or how long she'd been in the room for. Her vision was blurry. She could hear distorted audio coming from somewhere in the room. She couldn't quite make out what was going on. Martha's vision slowly began to clear up. She saw a bunch of people trying to get into the room she was in.
There was a anthropomorphic female spider in the room with her. The spider lady looked like a human woman crossed with a spider, with the top half of her body being human while the bottom half of her body was that was a spider. She had light cyan blue skin with long blue hair and dark red eyes on the upper half of her body while the bottom half of her body had spider legs. She wore a red dress with orange web patterns and a gold belt with a red hourglass symbol on the buckle. The spider woman's name was the Contessa, an Interpol warden who was infamous for rehabilitating criminals by hypnotizing criminals into being good. The Contessa, under the human disguise of Gloria Contessen travelled into the human world and kidnapped the mother of Julius and Tommy Kore at the Burger King restaurant she worked at and brought her to her castle estate in Prague to hypnotize her. Why the Contessa would want to hypnotize an innocent woman for is unclear.
Suddenly, a group of people burst into the room that Martha was being held captive in. Julius Kore, along with Sly Cooper, Bentley and Savannah Greenwood entered the re-education tower to help rescue Julius's mother from captivity. Julius's mother looked terrible. She looked delerious and tired. Julius had never seen his mother look like that before in his life. She had no idea what was happening at the moment.
"Where am I?" Martha Kore asked. Savannah went after the Contessa, who had one of the Clockwerk eyes with her. Julius's mother took a moment to look at her surroundings. She suddenly felt her body fall to the floor upon being released from the straps of the gurney. She took a moment to look at her surroundings. She saw her son Julius along with an anthropomorphic male grey raccoon and a small green anthropomorphic male tuttle. Martha knew who her son was, obviously, but she had no idea who the raccoon and turtle were.
"I'll explain later. We have to get out of here, now!" Julius said to his mother. Suddenly, a red cloud of dust entered the room. Bentley had just blown up the Clockwerk Eyes that were attached to the Mind Shuffler, causing the red spice dust to evolop the entire room they were in. Julius tried his best not to inhale the spice dust thst permeated the room. The last thing he needed was for him to act aggressively toward people against his will. Neyla then entered the room. She had one of the Clockwerk Eyes in her possession.
"NEYLA! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Julius yelled at Neyla.
"I'm here to take the Clockwerk Eyes from you and Sly." Neyla said to Sly.
"Over my dead body you're getting the eyes, cocksucker!" Julius snapped. His mother was shocked and apalled by the fact that her son would say such harsh swear words at someone.
"I'll keep that in mind." Neyla said to Julius. He didn't want Neyla to obtain the Clockwerk Eye. He noticed that the Clockwerk Eye was in front of him. Julius quickly grabbed the Clockwerk Eye and sprinted out of the tower. Neyla chased after Julius while Sly went after Neyla, leaving Bentley all alone with Julius's mother. Bentley was scared, as this wasn't part of the plan to obtain the Clockwerk Eyes from the Contessa and Neyla.
"You mind telling me what's going on here? Who the hell is Clockwerk and what do his eyes have to do with it?" the human woman asked the turtle. Bentley didn't know what to tell her about Clockwerk. He was afraid that she wouldn't believe him. He also knew that he couldn't just keep the Clockwerk thing a secret. He knew she'd eventually find out about Clockwerk and his parts sooner or later. He might as well tell Julius's mother about Clockwerk now than later.
"It's a long story. I don't even think you'd believe me." Bentley said to Julius's mother. "Aren't you Julius's mother?"
"Yes I am Julius's mother. Why'd you ask? How'd you know about my son's name?" Martha asked Bentley.
"Julius is a part of my team along with his brother Tommy. I'll have to tell you all about it later on. Let's get out of here! This is no place for an asthmatic." the turtle replied back to Julius's mother.
"What's your name?" the human woman asked the turtle.
"Bentley." the turtle replied. "What's yours?"
"Martha Kore". Martha said. Bentley and Martha exited the re-education tower. Neyla chased after Julius while Sly went after Neyla.
Meanwhile Savannah was having a tough time fighting the Contessa while trying to keep the Clockwerk Eye away from her. She dodged the Contessa's webbing several times The Contessa was getting angrier and angrier by the minute. She eventually had the bright idea of subduing the human girl by having her trip on her webbing incapacitating her, which then would enable her to take the Clockwerk Eye from her effortlessly.
"Give me the Clockwerk Eye!" the Contessa said.
"How about I take away your eyes instead, bitch!" Savannah said.
"That wouldn't be very nice to do to a warden." The Contessa replied.
"You ain't the warden of shit!" yelled Savannah.
"I'd watch where you're going if I were you." The Contessa said. Savannah was caught off-guard by what the Contessa said to her. She didn't watch where she was going. Savannah suddenly felt herself tripping over something and falling to the ground. She landed on her chest. The Contessa then took this opportunity to wrap Savannah Greenwood's body up like a cocoon. Savannah struggled against the thick webbing. She'd read too many Spider-Man comics to know that a spider's web was stronger than steel. The Contessa swipes the Clockwerk Eye from her. Savannah was devastated and disappointed that the Contessa was able to defeat her so easily. The Contessa then left Savannah to be trapped within her webbing. Savannah immediately felt claustrophobic. She was certain that the Contessa would end up cannibalising her. Spiders were well known to eat their prey after capturing them in their web. Savannah seriously hoped that the Contessa wouldn't eat her like an insect.
Suddenly, Savannah felt internse heat and burning around her. The web cocoon that she was trapped within was suddenly set ablaze. The flames tore through the webbing like it was paper. Savannah soon broke free of the webbing. She saw Murray and Tommy standing there in front of her. She was overjoyed to be freed of the Contessa's webbing by Murray and Tommy burning the cocoon that she was trapped within.
"You got the Clockwerk Eye?" the hippo asked Savannah.
"I did have the Eye in my possession until the Contessa caught me off-guard and trapped me within her webbing. She then took the eye away from me and left. I don't know where she went." Savannah explained.
"We've got the get the Clockwerk Eye back from the Contessa. Follow me and Tommy into the tank and we'll go after her and Neyla." Murray said. Savannah wasn't sure if there was any room inside the tank for her to fit in with Murray and Tommy. She then thought it be a good idea for her to take the Cooper Van and follow Murray's tank using the van.
"Is it okay if me and Tommy drive the van and we have us follow your tank with it?" Savannah asked Murray. "I think there's going to be enough room in the tank for me and Tommy to go inside with you." Murray thought about her suggestion to borrow his van to follow him in the tank. He wasn't sure whether or not he wanted Savannah and Tommy to drive the van.
"I don't know. I've made my decision. I'll allow you to drive the van and you and Tommy follow me with the tank. Be careful not to mess it up." Murray warned. He handed Savannah the keys to the Cooper Van. "The van's parked by the front gate of the castle."
Savannah and Tommy went to look for the Cooper Van. They found the Cooper Van parked by the gates of the Contessa's castle like Murray said it would be. Savannah unlocked the van and she and Tommy got into the van with Tommy riding shotgun. She started the engine of the van and they drove off to follow Murray inside his tank to locate the Clockwerk Eye that the Contessa stole from her.
Bentley and Julius were in the Contessa's blimp. They had to use the voice modulator to distract Neyla long enough for them to escape into the Contessa's blimp. Neyla soon noticed this and ordered her mercenary team to shoot down the blimp. They succeeded in making the blimp crash with Julius and Bentley inside. The blimp crashed into the building. Bentley made it out okay while Julius was rendered unconscious by the crash, which allowed Neyla to obtain the other Clockwerk Eye from Julius's body. She took Julius Kore's mother hostage.
Sly meanwhile was in the middle of a fierce and intense battle with the Contessa. Sly was starting to win the battle. The raccoon knocked the Contessa out with his cane. Sly had some bruises and cuts strewn across his body from the fight. Sly walked over to the Contessa.
"I feel sorry for you. All your education and expertise yet you still don't know right from wrong." Sly said to the Contessa.
"Why would I want to know right from wrong? I have no interest in your narrow interpretation of morality! I'm above good and evil!" The Contessa proclaimed.
"You'd honestly think I would give up the eye to someone who's "above morality." Sly remarked. If the Contessa thought that Sly would be stupid enough to just give up the Clockwerk Eye to someone who's above morality, then she had another thing coming. Sly was hellbent on obtaining the Clockwerk Eyes. He'd be damned if he was to let either the Contessa or Neyla steal both of the Clockwerk Eyes from him and his gang. "The only way you or Neyla is getting the Clockwerk Eyes from us is to pry them from our cold dead hands!"
Before the Contessa could do anything, she suddenly felt a burst of water hit her from below in a geyser that erupted from the sewers that lifted her body up into the air. Savannah and Tommy drove up to the scene. She then began to sing the lyrics to the popular nursery rhyme: Itsy Bitsy Spider.
"The Itsy Bitsy Spider went up the waterspout. Down came the rain and washed the spider out." Savannah sang out through a loudspeaker. Bentley hacked into the sprinkler system and it rained down upon the Contessa. The Contessa was pummeled by water. "Out came the sun and dried up the rain." Savannah continued to sing as she then turned up the heat of the radiator of the Cooper Van to evaporate the water so that it could dry.
"And the itsy Bitsy Spider went up the spout again." Savannah sang the final lyric to the song as a geyser of water erupted atop the Contessa again. The Clockwerk Eye felled out of the spider lady's body and onto the ground. Sly immediately grabbed the Clockwerk Eye up from the ground. The Contessa was defeated once and for all.
"I got the eye!" Sly said excitedly as if he'd just won the lottery. He wanted to celebrate his accomplishment of finally obtaining the Clockwerk Eye from the Contessa. Now all he and the gang had to do now was to obtain the other Clockwerk Eye from Neyla and they'd be home free. Julius soon regained conciousness and regrouped with Sly and the gang.
"Did you defeat that spider bitch?" Julius asked the gang.
"Sure did, Julie! We defeated her by using the lyrics of the nursery rhyme Itsy Bitsy Spider. It was Tommy's idea." Savannah told her friend. Julius chuckled.
"I always hated that nursery rhyme as a kid. It creeped me the hell out." Julius said.
"Do you still have the other Clockwerk Eye?" Sly asked Julius. Julius checked to see if he still had the Clockwerk Eye in his possession. He didn't have it on him. Julius realized that Neyla must've snatched the eye from him while he was unconscious.
"Shit! Neyla must've tooken the eye away from me when I was knocked unconscious when the Contessa's blimp crashed!" Julius exclaimed.
"Looking for this?" a feminine voice called out. Everybody turned around to see Neyla holding the other Clockwerk Eye in one hand while she had Julius's mother held captive in her other hand.
"Give us the eye, Neyla!" Sly said to Neyla.
"You know, I just don't get your guys's obsession with wanting the Clockwerk Eyes. They're just some useless trinkets anyway. I'd hate to see what you guys will end up doing to them once you obtained them from me." Neyla said.
"The Clockwerk Eyes have to be destroyed!" Sly said to Neyla.
"You wanna see some eyes getting destroyed. Okay. Perhaps I'll give you guys a demonstration." Neyla retorted. She then took Julius's jade knife and proceeded to plunge it deep into Julius's mother's eyes. She stabbed her eyes multiple times until they were gouged out completely. Blood spurted profusely from Martha Kore's eye sockets. Neyla then used her whip to strangle the life out of her body. Julius's mother struggled to stay alive as Neyla's whip coiled tighter and tighter around her neck. Neyla then felt something sharp hit her in the back of her neck. She suddenly began to feel drowsy and sleepy. Her whip uncoiled itself from around Julius's mother's neck and dropped onto the ground.
"You want your fricking eyes?! Here, take the fucking eye!" Neyla yelled as she threw the Clockwerk Eye at Sly before removing the sleep dart from the back of her neck and threw a smoke bomb before disappearing and passing out from the sleep dart behind the smoke. Bentley had successfully fired a sleep dart at Neyla to get her to stop strangling Julius's mother. Unfortunately, Neyla took the sleep dart out of her and thew the other Clockwerk Eye at Sly before trying to make her escape via smoke bomb before passing out from the effects of the sleep darts. Julius sprinted with amazing speed toward his mother's slowly dying body. Julius was beyond upset and devastated as his mother slowly began to die from excessive loss of blood and the lack of oxygen flow from Neyla's strangulation attempt. Both Julius and Savannah tried to perform CPR on her in an attempt to try and possibly save his mother. Unfortunately, it was too late. Julius Kore's entire world was shatterred forever by his mother's death at the hands of Neyla. Julius cryed his out and began to scream so loud it could've possibly broken the sound barrier as the Cooper Gang watched in horror as Julius began to cradle the lifeless body of his mother.
A/N: So ends the life of the mother of Julius and Tommy Kore. I didn't really want to kill her off like that. But like I said before, I had to kill her off in order to avoid oversaturating the characters in my story. 3 human characters as well as three anthropomorphic characters is enough characters in my story. I don't want to add any more characters into this story. Six characters is enough. Any more than that would've been too much. 90% of fictional characters lose their mothers and fathers anyways. Even if I wanted to add Julius Kore's mother into the story, her inclusion would've made this story more complicated than it already was. Sorry for those of you who wanted to see Julius's mother added in. Maybe later on when I eventually write a remake to this story I might end up retconning the death of Julius's mother. Who knows? Sometimes we have to make sacrifices.
