I know last chapter was shorter and there was a cliffhanger, but this one is a LOT longer and here comes the excitement. Enjoy!

He landed on one of the battlements and snuck into the castle. He knew his way around it. He searched quietly through the castle and not wanting to disturb anyone. If the humans there saw him, he would dart them too, but wouldn't take them. He would just knock them out.

Thailog searched for Brooklyn until he found him in the courtyard, getting some air. He was seated at the table out there. He snuck up on the pregnant male.

Brooklyn was reading his book when suddenly, Bronx let out a sniff and growled. "What is it, boy?" he asked.

"He spies me, Brooklyn." Thailog replied. It made Brooklyn jump and turn. It made him drop his book.

"Thailog!" Brooklyn turned suddenly in the seat, but he couldn't get up fast enough. His wings flared. But that was bad as the dark clone of his leader could clearly see his huge stomach. "What do you want?!"

"It's pretty obvious of why you would be wanted." Thailog declared, looking at the belly.

Bronx continued to growl at the evil clone. Brooklyn put his arms immediately over his stomach to protect it.

"Are you going to come quietly or am I going to have to force you to come with me?" Thailog demanded.

"I'll never go with you!" Brooklyn shot back. "Stay away from me!" Then he tried to run, but it was hard to run.

"Get back here!" Thailog tried to go after him, but Bronx went to attack him first. He darted the gar dog as he landed on him. But one of his legs was connected to Bronx's belly and he kicked him into the nearest wall. "You're not getting away that easily!" Thailog called out and went after the smaller gargoyle.

Brooklyn panted as he ran into the castle. He had to find a place to hide. His arms supported his swollen belly. He heard behind him, "You won't get away that easily!" He had to stop momentarily at one corner. "Where… to go… oh… this is hard…" Brook panted hard.

Running was not good for Brook right now in his condition. But it wasn't long before Thailog had him cornered in a hallway going up some stairs. "Leave me alone, Thailog." Brook begged of him. He was backing up going up the stairs, looking at a gun the clone had in his hand.

"I don't think so." Thailog had a gun aimed on the pregnant male backing away from him. He didn't want him to get away and he fired the gun. The dart landed on its target. It landed on Brooklyn's left shoulder.

Brook cried out in pain. He knew there was no chance of him escaping his chaser. "No, I won't go… with you." His voice was tapering off as he was going under the drug. "Please… no…" He started going to the ground but was able to make sure he sat on the floor and went down on his side on the stairs.

"Good going, Brooklyn. Now you are mine for the taking." Thailog smirked as he came over and put his gun away. He felt his belly first and felt some movement in there. This was intriguing indeed. He smirked. This baby would be his and his alone!

Thailog then proceeded to pick Brooklyn up and he finished carrying him to the top of the stairs of the tower. Then he spread his wings and took off into the night with his prize. Brooklyn was carried bridal style.

….

David was soon coming through the castle, and he found Bronx unconscious out in the courtyard. "Bronx, what happened?" he asked. "Where's Brooklyn?"

Bronx was coming out of his sedation. He groaned and got up and went about whining and sniffing the ground. Then the man saw the dart in Bronx's shoulder. He pulled it off. This needed to be checked out. It meant trouble. Who had done this? And where was Brooklyn?

Bronx managed to find Brook's scent and followed it into the castle to the tower. David followed him. The gar dog growled and went to the top of the tower. The man couldn't figure out what Bronx was trying to tell him.

"I hope Brooklyn didn't take off again. He's in no condition to be leaving here." David admitted. "But I'll get this dart analyzed right away. Come on, Bronx."

Bronx whined reluctantly at the floor but followed. There was nothing he could do now. David on the other hand got to the lab and began analyzing the dart under the microscope. Up close, it had markings of Gen-U-Tech on it. That meant that only one person could be behind Brook's capture: Sevarius.

Later, he looked at various camera footage and indeed, it showed Thailog trespassing to get Brooklyn. He had darted him and carried him away. But where had he taken him? The camera showed he was gliding away towards the East River. Then that was where they needed to go.

David called Goliath on his earphone, and he told him of the situation. The clan would return to investigate the crime of the loss of one of their own again.

Thailog had his own private hideout here in the city. He got Brooklyn there and gently laid him on the ground on his side in a cage. The cage had electricity surging through them so Brook wouldn't be able to get out so easily.

"I wonder what you carry in there." Thailog wondered. He also reached down and felt the belly. By now, there were no more movements. The babies were sedated like their father.

"Rest well, Brooklyn. For soon, your prize will soon be mine, after what the 'good' doctor says." Thailog stated. He left the red male to wake on his own.

Later, Brooklyn woke up with some dizziness in his head. "Oh, where am I?" he asked himself. He looked around, sitting up but just barely, holding his head.

Brooklyn could make out a big barren room. It was another warehouse from the looks of it. Why was he here?

"Finally awake I see." Thailog spoke up, getting his attention.

"What do you… want with me?" Brooklyn tried to be confident, but he was still groggy from the drug.

"It's practically what everyone wants from you, Brooklyn." Thailog proclaimed. "Including me." He pointed, grinning.

Brooklyn knew that Thailog was pointing at his belly. He instantly put his arms over his middle to shield it as best he could, but his belly was too swollen at this point. "I won't let you do this to me."

"It's not like you have much of a choice." Thailog remarked.

"This was my body and my choice. No one is taking them from me!" Brook snarled.

Thailog instantly caught his words. "Excuse me? Them?"

Brook then realized his mistake. "Nothing."

"You said 'them.' Does that mean there is more than one inside you?" Thailog asked.

"No. Just a mistake in my words. I just woke up." Brook managed to say, lying.

Thailog grinned maliciously at the Second in Command. 'This just keeps getting better and better.' He thought to himself. He started to notice a change in his prisoner's breathing.

Brooklyn's breathing began to pick up. "Don't hurt my child." He begged.

"I wouldn't dream of it. But there is another certain party that wants you back." Thailog declared. "They want the child. But as for you, you can become my prisoner for the rest of your life."

"NO!" Brooklyn yelled out of fear. He and his twins were in real danger here. "Just let me go."

"No way. You are going to be here for a long time. You are mine now, Brooklyn. The baby will go to the wanted party when it is time for the baby to be born."

"NO! I won't let this happen." Brooklyn contested.

"But then, perhaps you could have a baby too with my DNA if you had this one, or them." Thailog mocked him.

"I'll never have a child with you!" The red one yelled angrily.

"I really could make your life a living hell if you refuse me, Brooklyn." Thailog warned him.

"No more than what Demona has done to me and my clan."

"You are definitely unique among your clan. I'm surprised that a male gargoyle such as yourself is even able to get pregnant." Thailog softened his words then.

"I can't get pregnant!" Brooklyn snapped furiously. "It was some experiment done on me!"

"Hmm. Perhaps they will tell me how it was done." Thailog smiled evilly.

A chill went down Brook's spine. He didn't like the clone's look at him. He kept his hands over his swollen stomach. He didn't want another cruel experiment done on him. He wouldn't let it happen without a fight. If his twins were taken from him, he would do everything he could to get them back, but if a new embryo was put into his body by Thailog, he would make sure he had it aborted. He didn't want that monster to produce progeny.

"I'll never allow your offspring to enter the world!" Brooklyn growled at the black clone.

"I can have other uses for you too. Being my little pet will be one of them. You aren't going anywhere." Thailog grinned. He knew the red male was just scared and was just showing bravado as he usually would. But he would love to break that bravado once the fetuses were out of his body. They had to be close to term. "I bet those that you carry now are close to term."

"That's none of your business!" Brook growled at him, turning his back to him, blocking his belly with his right wing.

"They must very close, given how big you are in the belly. And with you having no mate and no other use in your clan, you will be perfect to be my little pet." Thailog mused.

"I am the second in command! I will one day lead the clan! That is my purpose, and I will keep my kids and be their father!" Brooklyn spoke in an angry voice.

"That is something I will have to change your plans in, Red." Came a voice then. It made the two gargoyles turn. "Sevarius told me where to find you." The Illuminati men came down into the hideout.

"You!" Brooklyn exclaimed.

"You have been very naughty, Red. I'm afraid those precious babies inside you are my progeny to worry about as soon as they are born. My test subjects." The doctor decreed.

"No! I won't let you hurt them!" Brook declared. "They are mine!"

"You might be their father by fertilization, and a carrier, but they are just crossbreeds to see how long they can live and survive tests." The doc explained his thoughts.

"You Illuminati are nothing but cruel monsters. And you say I am the monster? Well, I have more respect for life than you ever will." Brook admitted. "You are not getting my babies without a fight." He cradled his belly even more protectively.

"I would expect quite as much from you, Red. I see you are nearing the end of the pregnancy. An exam will show me if they are ready to be born or not." The doc smiled. "Your belly sure has gotten good and big incubating my prizes."

Brooklyn felt really insulted that both Thailog and this evil man were only thinking of his babies as personal property. Thailog wanted him but not his babies.

"Just what are these babies, Human?" Thailog demanded.

"Human/gargoyle crossbreeds." The doc replied.

"I've done that too myself." Thailog stated. "And she was living proof that it works."

Brooklyn remembered Delilah, but she had chosen his own clone over him. She had been his last hope for a gargess mate to be found here in New York. If he wanted a gargess for a mate, he would have to go to other clans to look for one. But he wasn't against the idea of a human mate either.

"Good." The doc agreed. "But I required the proof for myself. Now, to get my gargoyle and his babies."

"I want him after he has the babies." Thailog ordered.

"Very well. You can have him." The doc declared. "Get him."

The cage was unlocked, and Brooklyn knew he had to make a break for it. He had to get out of here, and fast. He waited for them to let him out and then he smashed his fists into the men's faces and tripped the doctor with his tail. Then he tried to make a run for it while supporting his belly with one hand.

He was breathing hard to reach the exit, but he was suddenly stopped by Goliath's clone. "AHHH! Let me go!" Brooklyn shouted in distress. He struggled.

"Uh, uh, uh. You aren't going anywhere." Thailog spoke in a seducing way.

Brooklyn struggled in his grasp. He had him clasped to his chest. But then, Brook kicked into the clone's legs and freed himself. It knocked Thailog over, but the clone growled and went after him again.

"Stay away from me!" Brooklyn backed away and made another attempt for the exit. But it wasn't before a net suddenly shot out at him from a gun that Thailog had. "Get this off me!" He shouted and fell to the ground struggling to get out of it. He was on his rear.

"You're not going anywhere, my pet." Thailog declared.

Brooklyn's eyes glowed from the aggression. He bared his teeth in anger.

"Good job there, Clone. Here is the amount of money Sevarius paid us to pay you for getting my prize back." The doc now came up to Thailog, giving him a suitcase full of money.

The men were up again and rubbing their faces. They wanted to hurt the red gargoyle for hurting them, but it wasn't allowed at the moment.

"I still need your help in examining him to see if my prizes are ready." The doc insisted.

"Good. I'll be happy to assist in that." Thailog confirmed.

"NO!" Brooklyn cried out. He had to get out of this net. Where was his clan? He hoped they showed up to save him. "You don't deserve to see them!"

"Oh, but I do. They are my creations after all. And they were created in such a way that this would make special history if it was known." The doc grinned maliciously at him. "Bring him."

"No!" Brook struggled. Then Thailog made him stand up and the net was pulled off and he had him firmly by the arms again. But then, Thailog held him by the throat to his front and he then put a hand over to the belly to rub it. Brooklyn didn't like that, and he put his own hands to push his off his belly. He grunted in distress. But the clone tightened his grip on his throat. "Move!" Thailog threatened him.

Brook was forced to move to the exit now. When they were taken up top, there was a transport van that was open and ready to take him somewhere but not before a computer piece was brought forward. Brook thought it might be an x-ray thing, but it wasn't.

"Hold him still." The man holding it ordered.

When the wand and gel tube came out, Brooklyn then knew what it was. A mobile ultrasound. No! He didn't want these monsters to see his twins. He tried to move to get free, but Thailog held his throat and got a hold of his right arm, twisting it. He winced in pain. His left arm was on Thailog's arm on his throat. Thailog's tail also found his and he connected with it to keep his tail still too.

Brooklyn was breathing in a panic. All this stress wasn't good for him and the twins. He couldn't feel them right now. They were likely still just asleep from the drug in his system. Brook watched as the man had the gel and the wand in his hand.

Gel was put on the wand, and it was then applied to his belly. The tech moved it all over this belly and watching his computer. "We definitely have some good-sized babies in there." The tech declared.

"But how are their lungs?" The doc asked.

The tech looked at both the twins' lungs. "I don't think they're fully developed yet. He's at the stage of seven and a half months like a woman is. It's too early yet." He explained.

"Fine. That means he can still be my prize a while longer." The doc smirked. "Now, get him tied up so we can transport him safely."

Tears were welling in Brooklyn's eyes. He felt so humiliated from how he was restrained and how the bad guys had seen his twins. His ears were flattened in sadness.

Thailog then let go of his throat and he could breathe a sigh. He got a hold of both of Brooklyn's arms and pulled them behind his back. Brook winced from the twisted arm. One of the men then tied his tail to his left ankle. His wing hands were also tied together. Brooklyn knew he was a little more defenseless. No doubt his feet would get tied in the van.

"Now move it!" Thailog ordered. He started to push him towards the van when suddenly, there were loud roars and battle cries coming from the sky above. The humans and gargoyles looked up and Brooklyn gave a big smile. His clan was here!

Goliath and the others swooped down on Thailog and the humans surrounding them. Some of the guards started firing at them. But the clan were quick to dodge the shots.

Goliath took great aim at Thailog to attack him, and Brooklyn got out of his grip and he ran a little distance away to stay out of the trouble. His leader and his clone took up arms and Goliath was knocked away as Thailog took to the air. "We will meet again, Goliath." He said smugly.

The humans were all outsmarted and defeated. Even the doctor. They were left tied up for police.

Angela saw where Brooklyn was, and she went over to him. "Brooklyn. Are you alright?" she asked in concern.

"Yeah, I'm alright. I just feel humiliated for what they did to me." Brook walked up to her. "Please get me out of these things."

Angela gladly swiped the ropes with her talons and freed Brooklyn from his ropes. He rubbed his wrists. He also rubbed his right arm where Thailog had twisted it. The clan then came over to them.

"Are you alright, Brooklyn?" Goliath asked.

"Yeah, I will be." Brook replied.

"And how are the babies?" Lex asked.

"They aren't moving. I'm worried about them." Brook put his hands to his stomach.

"We should get you home and examined then." Lex declared.

Goliath called Elisa. "We found him, Elisa. Call Dr. Sato and we need him right away."

"Alright, I will." Elisa replied on his phone.

"Can you glide home, lad?" Hudson asked.

"Yeah. I'm awake enough. I still feel a little woozy from the drugs though." Brook stated.

"That's probably why the twins aren't moving, Brooklyn. It's the drugs." Lex explained. "I'm sure they're just sleeping."

"But what if the drugs harmed them?" Brook spoke in worry.

"Calm down. Stress isn't good for you or the twins." Broadway tried to help calm him down too.

"I won't feel fine until I feel them move inside me." Tears were in his eyes. They were falling now.

"It will be alright, lad. Let's get you all home." Hudson put a hand on his shoulder. Brooklyn nodded in agreement.

They all climbed up a wall and took to the air. The humans were left to the police.

"How did you all find me?" Brook asked.

"Xanatos saw on camera and showed us when we got back that you had been kidnapped by Thailog. Why was he after you?" Goliath asked.

Brooklyn sniffled. He was trying to get a hold of himself. His hormones were just out of whack from the stress. "To get me for that doctor and himself. You know how he is, always out for greed. The doctor wanted the babies. Thailog was likely going to keep me as his pet, he said, once I was separated from my babies." He explained.

"That double crossing evil monster! He can't do that to you!" Broadway growled.

"Calm down, Broadway. Brooklyn doesn't need you to be angry right now. We dealt with him, and we'll do it again." Angela declared.

His mate was right. Broadway calmed down, but he was still angry this happened to his pregnant brother. He was in a fragile state of mind and body.

Brooklyn had a hand on his belly the whole flight home. He was hoping for some movement but still felt nothing. He hoped neither of the twins had died during that bout. That was why Sato would soon arrive there. 'Please be okay, little ones.' He thought to himself.

They soon arrived home and instantly got Brooklyn to the medical ward where Elisa, the Xanatos', Owen and Sato were waiting. The clan stayed out in the waiting area while Brooklyn went into the exam room with Sato.

Elisa hugged Goliath. "I'm glad Brooklyn's alright."

"We're just worried about the twins now." Goliath stated.

In the room, Brooklyn laid back and allowed the doc to put more gel against his round belly. On his other exam, the hearts hadn't been heard and that worried the red male.

"Are they alright, Doc?" Brook asked in desperation.

"I'm looking here." Sato replied. He was moving the wand on his stomach carefully.

Sato was seeing no movements from the babies, but he was seeing their hearts beating. "They are both alive, Brooklyn." He said.

Brooklyn took a deep sigh of relief. Tears came to his eyes. "That's a relief."

"Here, if this will help you feel better." Sato said as he played one heartbeat and then the other. "They are clearly stressed. I would suggest bed rest the rest of tonight and tomorrow night to make sure that the twins are recovered. We don't want to take chances."

"Yeah. I am still overwhelmed myself." Brooklyn declared.

"Understandable. Just get some rest. You should feel them move later on, when they wake up again." Sato proclaimed.

"Thanks."

"No problem. But if you don't feel them before sunrise and then tomorrow night, give me a call and I'll come over again." Sato stated.

"Thanks. I will if needed." Brook replied.

"Brooklyn, the stakes are getting much higher for you now that you are in the third trimester. You will need to stay off your feet a lot more. I will need to start coming by weekly for exams on you just to be safe at this point." Sato explained.

Brooklyn knew that the man was right. He didn't want to take any chances. "Alright." He agreed. He also knew that he was going to get tired of all these exams, but it would be worth it in the end to get healthy babies. He knew they were part human, but he didn't care. They looked like gargoyles to him. They were his children.

"How much longer do you think I'll be carrying them? They are getting heavy inside me." Brook asked.

"I would say at least ten more weeks. There's still more to do to prepare for them." Sato replied. "If not more."

"Oh, I hope not." Brooklyn felt a certain restlessness within him. He was so ready to get the babies out of his body.

"I know all the waiting is tedious, but it's worth it in the end. And with your stone sleep, you won't have to have a long recovery." Sato smiled.

"True, but I'll still be fat after they're born." Brook now saw up and cleaned off his belly.

"Yes, but you'll also feel a lot lighter on your feet. You will lose a ton of weight compared to your weight now."

"How much have I gained?" Brooklyn asked.

"Let's find out, shall we?" Sato stated.

Brooklyn hesitantly stepped onto a scale in the room. He knew his weight from other exams that he weighed around 210 pounds as flesh. But right now, Sato saw that he weighed about 238 pounds.

"You have gained over twenty-eight pounds, my friend." Sato stated. "A few more pounds should be good for carrying twins."

"It feels like a bit too much." Brooklyn declared.

"It's just a good thing in pregnancy. Now, you go to your room and get some rest. It's my orders. Have you eaten?"

"No. I do need to eat and take my vitamins for the night yet."

"Well, if you feel bad tomorrow night or don't feel the twins move, let me know." Sato instructed.

"Thank you. They are alright though?"

"Yes. They just need rest to calm down like you do. And to wake up." Sato said.

The doc left after that. Brooklyn went out to his friends and family.

"So, how are the twins?" Fox asked.

"They're asleep right now. I still don't feel them, but their hearts are still beating. I need to go get some rest." Brook explained. "I also need some food."

"I can get right on that, Brook." Broadway declared.

"Thanks."

The clan made sure that Brooklyn got to his room alright. David and Fox followed. They were concerned as well. At least the doctor and his men were now going to jail. They soon all got to his room, and he got into his bed.

"I'm really alright now, guys. I don't need everyone in here with me." Brooklyn insisted.

"We just wanted to be there for you." Goliath said.

"I know. You're worried for me." Brook stated.

"Yes. It's hard to want to be away from you after what happened. We thought we'd lost you again." Lex declared.

"Me too. But I'm glad you all showed up before I was forced into that van and taken to who knows where."

"I would make sure to find you again." David spoke up.

Bronx came up and whined at the red male. Brooklyn petted his head. "You did your best to protect me, boy." He said.

"Do you remember how Thailog got you?" Elisa asked.

"Yes. He ambushed me in the courtyard. He chased me down inside and darted me. Then I don't remember anything else till waking up in his hideout." Brook explained.

"It's alright, Brooklyn. Thanks for telling us. We'll make sure you stay safe from here on out. Not all of us should have left." Goliath decreed.

"Thailog is hard to take on, even for you, Father." Angela declared.

"I know. But it made no difference in that he had no right to take Brooklyn."

"The doctor was wanting him back, I bet." David spoke up.

"Yes, he was. I never want to see his evil face again." Brooklyn growled.

Then, soon, Broadway brought in a bowl of chicken noodle soup for his brother to eat. "I bet this will help wake up my niece and nephew." He said cheerfully.

"Thank you, Broadway. It smells good." Brook smiled.

"Were you offered any food?" Lex asked.

"No. Not from Thailog or the men."

"Well, ye got some food now." Hudson said.

"Yep."

The clan couldn't help but want to stay with him after what happened. They watched him eat his food. When he was done, he stated, "I'm really alright, everyone. Can I please have some privacy?"

"Sure. Come on." Goliath ushered the others out, that is all but Hudson.

"Please stay, Hudson." Brooklyn pleaded with the elder.

"Sure, lad. Be happy to be there for ye." Hudson replied. He and Bronx stayed in the room with the red male.

The rest of the clan headed to dinner for the night. It had been a long night already. They were ready for stone sleep this night.

The others all went to the dining hall to talk. "Is it truly safe to be letting Brooklyn stay here for the rest of the pregnancy?" Broadway asked.

"Where else is he going to go?" Angela asked. "We are his clan. He needs us by his side."

"I just want to keep him safe. There has been so much happening to him because of his pregnancy. So many just want those babies. I wonder why?" Goliath pondered. "He has been strictly a target."

"Only because that Illuminati guy wanted the twins back." Lex answered.

"He's in jail now." Angela said.

"And will be for a long time." Elisa added. "They've been causing mayhem for too long trying to find Brooklyn again."

"Let's hope that Brooklyn can finish up the pregnancy in peace." Goliath urged.

The others wanted that for him too. They were still excited about the babies being born but were still worried about the birth and safety of Brooklyn and them. He really didn't need any more unexpected captures from enemies of any kind. The stress was not good for them.

They all had a quick dinner before it was time to turn to stone. Tomorrow was a new night.
