"Im going to find Tula,"
He silently followed all the while trying to read her mood swings.
Kagome tried to read, but she found it hard. He was hovering, she was still running a fever and Tula was humming.
Kagome slammed the book shut making Tula jump,
"Sorry, im just-
"Aggitaed?"
Was it the pregnancy or just his mother? She did not like that woman.
Already she was sending Jaken out to find women for his majesty the prince of darkness.
Kagome's legs started to hurt; she wanted to move, needed to move. "Can't we go to see my friends,"
"No," Sesshomaru stated; not only was it not wise to travel, he didnt want to be anywhere near them.
Tula slipped away to find her mate.
"Im afraid im not very much help to her,"
To be honest, her mate wanted to leave. "What do you suggest?" He asked her,
"Do me a favor?"
"Anything for the mother of my child,"
She smiled "Go get her friends,"
"Are you sure that is a good idea? Will he not be cross?" They did not need to give them any reason to kill them, they had enough reason already.
"I will talk to him,"
He wasn't sure that was a good idea either but "As you wish,"
He waited for his mate to give him the word, meanwhile, his mate bowed deeply to Sesshomaru, and she knew she had no place to even step to him.
"What,"
"My Lord, I think it would be a good idea to send for her friends,"
He looked at her,
"I mean your mother is here now, which is a challenge,"
He waited allowing her to speak.
"And soon your house will be filled with others,"
"I fail to see what that has to do with the Miko,"
"She is human and does not understand most of our ways,"
"A fault of her own,"
"Shall I explain it to her then?"
That was also not a good idea "No,"
"I just might help you both,"
"I bothers me not,"
Tula tilted her head "So you mean to be cruel?"
He narrowed his eyes. "Do you wish to see how cruel I can be?"
She was overstepping "No, forgive me." She stuttered,
"The Miko and I have an understanding,"
Did he really think that?
"My Lord, may I speak freely?"
"Have you not been?"
She blinked, and he nodded.
"She carries your child and while it may seem black and white it is not, you know her just as I do she cares,"
"Then she is unwise,"
Tula sighed and looked down "Your mother cared,"
That stung,
"Truth is my Lord, though we keep our place and hold our tounges even us demoness hurt, care, wish and hope,"
They knew their place.
"Then perhaps you should teach her,"
Tula felt sad "Is that what you wish my Lord,"
"Hn,"
She bowed and vanished, stopping her mate from gathering her friends, and all hope of anything good from this vanished from her.
All she could do now was teach her friend what she needed to do to endure.
The night grew cool and it felt good to Kagome, her fever wasn't going away no matter what herb she put in her tea.
Sesshomaru watched her as she sat in the night air. He would say she would grow sick but she was already sick.
"You look perplexed my son,"
The things Tula said made him wonder, but did he dare ask?
"Sesshomaru,"
He looks at his mother "Did your invitations go well Mother,"
"Indeed you will have many to choose from, you are welcome,"
He looked away "Did it affect you?" He dared to ask,
"Did what affect me?"
"Seeing the human hime with child,"
She looked away, she did not like this line of questioning "It was not my place to care or not care,"
"But did it," He pushed,
"We are not close enough for me to indulge you with an answer,"
That was cold of course, he would probably say the same thing.
"At first, I was angry, but then she suffered, and he suffered, and it was justice in my eyes,"
She looked up at the stars "But I suffered as well, even though we had broke ties and had agreements, I was the mother to his first born, his heir, was I not enough?"
Sesshomaru could not believe his mother was in fact indulging him and he almost wished she had not.
"Yet I knew my place, my worth, and so it was as it was, I have no regrets and he is dead, so I assume he does,"
But it didn't matter if he did.
"Why do you ask?"
"The demoness is worried and wishes to send for her friends,"
"Does the human care for you so?"
"The Miko often misplaces her care."
"She is human, what did you tell her?"
"I told her to teach her,"
"Wise though I am unsure she can be taught,"
"She is educated,"
"A surprise based on her mouth,"
"You forget she comes from a time far beyond our own,"
Where there were no demons, not that he was about to tell her that.
"Put her to bed, tomorrow will be busy, and as the days pass, the worse it will be, and you will be busy she will have to endure a little on her own, I will aid,"
With that she spun around, case closed; it was not up for debate. His mother did not care in the least, but did the fact that he was unsure about all this mean that he did?
