Chapter 8
Things were reasonable for a few weeks or so, but then he started expecting more from her. Hermione went along with it at first.
Sleeping in his bed, kisses in the morning and before they went to sleep. Brushing and teasing touches throughout the day, in passing or while reading together in the garden.
Draco was very quick to soak up her attention as well as Levi's. The young man hung around her constantly, asking her questions about her life, her likes and her interests.
She spoke about them, falling silent when Draco would interrupt and correct her, sharing the 'right' experience with Levi. Over time Hermione found herself getting more and more silenced.
"He's getting sicker, Love."
"I know." They had gone to bed not an hour ago, neither falling asleep. "I think it'll happen before the end of the year."
Draco slid over to be pressed into her side, lips at her ear. "I tried so hard to keep him safe, to save him for you."
"It's an illness, he can not be cured. You did your best."
Draco's hand slid across her stomach, palm resting there, thumb rubbing.
"We should start trying for a baby."
As if being splashed with cold water after almost a month of stagnating life, Hermione blinked awake.
"Pardon."
Draco's hand slid a little lower, pinky finger finding the skin between her top and bottoms.
"Our boy will be gone, we need someone to doubt upon, you shouldn't have to live without your child."
"He's not- I don't," Hermione huffed in frustration trying to muddle through her damped thoughts. "I don't have a child. I don't want a baby."
Draco shook his head sighing. "You're confused again Love. Let me call the house elves to bring you some tea."
Hermione smacked her lips, the tea. She had lived off it in her cell- she had been in a cell- Draco had locked her up because she was uncompliant. Had he drugged her? The tea had not tasted like any potion or spell she had come across but it did have a unique taste to it.
The fact that she was so confused and unclear of her life these last few weeks. How had she so easily forgotten she had locked her away simply for not loving him back?
"Did you drug me?"
Draco rolled over to her, hovering mouth inches from hers.
"Oh sweetheart it's ok." His hand dipped into her pants. "Let me make you feel better."
This was the first time Draco had touched her like this. Her boyfriend. "This isn't right."
Draco kissed her lips sweetly, "You're right."
Holding her waist Draco rolled them so she was above him, then sat up. Arms wrapped around her waist to hold her to him.
He kissed her again, and Hermione returned his affections slowly and with hesitation. This felt right. She loved his face and his body but those eyes, they were not right. They did not look at her the same.
Hermione rolled her hips forward, an experimental movement. Draco moaned into her mouth, familiar hands holding her hips rolling her forward into him again. That felt good, Hermione raised her arms from her sides dropping them over Draco's shoulders.
Draco lavished at her mouth, humming against her. Hermione flicked her tongue out to taste his lips, Draco bucked his hips against her. His hands still encouraging her to rock against him.
He wanted his girl nice and wet before he took her in their bed.
"We can call upon Pansy to bind us together. A pure blood ritual but I assure you is safe, to solitary our bond." He whispered his plan against her neck, suckling the flesh. "Breed this beautiful body. Watch you grow this time with my seed, worship you both."
Draco rocked forward pressing Hermione onto her back, head falling at the foot of the bed. Draco's hand once against sliding into her silk bottoms. Hermione's breath hitched her hips rocking against his hand. Draco groaned lowly into her neck, his cock twitching in his pants.
Pulling back into his knees Draco pulled her bottoms down her legs, happy to see her lips shining, wetness coating her.
Dropping back down, he pushed her shirt up her stomach lips descending on the flesh. He sucked, licked, kiss the area. Flashes of a pregnant Hermione take over his mind. Sliding his fingers between her lips he coated them sliding two inside.
Hermione mewed, eyes watching his lips move over her low stomach. Hip rocking in time with his hand.
"Draco."
He kissed his way back to her mouth, stealing her breath and bending his fingers to drag over the ripped roof of her cunt. Hermione grabbed the bedspread hips pressing back into the bed as her climax barreled forward.
Draco moaned encouragingly into her mouth, pleading with her to cum on his fingers. She complied, clenching down on him and riding out the overwhelming sensation on his eager fingers.
He kissed back down her body, pulling her shirt back into place. Taking advantage of her spread legs, Draco licked up her cum noisily enjoying the taste. When he had his fill, and she was cleaned he handed her her bottoms with a kiss.
"I'm going to go check on Levi, and make sure he doesn't need more potion before bed."
Hermione lay there clutching her bottoms against her chest. The urge to pee propelled her to move. She walked into the ensuite, the large mirror and the women standing in it drawing her attention.
"I don't understand." She whispered to herself.
She remembered being in dungeons, was that where things changed? She was in the dungeons of Malfoy Manor once before as well. A lot younger than she was now, but still as defiant. She fought then too. Hermione knew she did not have a son, she and Draco did not live in Malfoy Manor.
Levi had brought her here.
Draco had mentioned Harry lived nearby. Maybe she would ask to see him tomorrow, her best friend could surely clear up some things for her.
"Love?" Draco walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, and kissing her shoulder.
Hermione was still bare from the waist down, her bottoms clutched in her hand.
Draco's eyes gazed over her, grey orbs solidifying. "Need more darling, come back to bed." His hands caressed her bare hips.
She followed him back into the bedroom, legs falling to the bed as he pushed them apart. Settling his hips against hers.
Five Months
Hermione was in a mix of sex, loneliness and confusion. She had asked about Harry, wanting to see her friend. Draco insisted that he send word and that as soon as Potter was done with his time-consuming case he would come to see her.
So she was isolated at the manor with the two men fawning and doubting over her.
Draco between her legs every night muttering promises of babies and binding rituals. Both of which Hermione was sure she did not want but felt compelled to not voice her opinions about.
"Sink down Sweetheart."
Hermione's curls tickled her back as she road Draco in his office. He had called for Hermione while she and Levi had been in the garden. It was important for a boy to have his mom but Hermione was his, Levi needed to know that.
So he pulled her away and had his way with her in his office lounge chair. The one she would read in if she accompanied him into the study.
Hermione sighed her thighs pressed on either side of his, Draco pulled her back against his chest toppling her balance. Draco's mouth at her ear, cock filling her, dirty promises filling her mind.
"I've called Pansy, she's just about set to perform our binding ceremony. I've made sure her wand movements and incantations are just right."
One of his hands held her hip, the other caressing her breasts, side, clit.
"You'll be mine in every way by tomorrow evening."
Hermione frowned, not liking the way that sounded. She did not want to take part in some pure-blood binding ceremony. She had told Draco that, hadn't she?
Draco's hands slid up, both cupping her breasts. He pinched and rolled her nipples in tandem. Hermione's hips rocked, following her instincts. Fucking herself on his cock, feeling his head dragging against her g spot.
She fucked herself down harder, loving the angle and wanting more. Draco grinned against her shoulder watching down the length of her body, seeing it roll, grind and shutter.
"Gods look at this body aching for my cum, to be filled. My heir swelling your belly, fuck I love you."
"Draco." Hermione shook her head, why did he have to talk like that?
The blonde groaned hand dropping between her legs he repetitively tapped and rubbed her clit until she came with a strangled gasp.
Once leaving Draco alone in his study to continue working, Hermione hurried her way into one of the bathrooms far away from where he would think to check for her. She crumbled into a puddle on the floor, having the sense to turn on the slower first, drowning out the noise.
What the hell was she doing? Surviving, her brain told her. She had seen and come up against men exactly like this Draco. They were mental and plain vengeful when they did not get what they wanted. She had seen that over her first few months here. Draco had snapped, thrown things, and acted out when she refuted him and Levi.
In the beginning, she refused, but as her research on how to get home turned up nothing she had to reevaluate. The longer she was here the sadder she became and the more she missed her Draco. The caring man she had come to love, not this other version of who he could have been.
When he threw her into the dungeons Hermione knew she had to play this smart. And yea, her months in the dark had been scary and confusing and after fighting a war and experiencing loss and pain, she did not want to do it anymore. Was it so bad she numbed out and gave in? Could others say they wouldn't have done the same? She did not know.
For her own survival, she did. She gave in, she was kind and curious. Showed interest in both boys and yes, she let Draco bed her. At first, it was a way to placate him. If she were honest, Hermione had been worried that if she had not gone along with it, he might have forced her. That visual, if she ever did get back to her real life, would not be something she could ever experience.
Then after the first few times, she thought, why the hell not? It felt good to be with him, even if it was not her Draco. To get lost in it was better than to cry about the thought of never getting back home again.
After a long warm shower, Hermione curled herself away in the library so she could think. She could not let her magic get bound to Draco's tomorrow.
.
"Levi is feeling tired, he's going to stay in his room tonight."
Hermione shook her head. "Maybe we should postpone. He should be here for this."
"No!" Draco snapped. "Pansy is already on her way my love."
"I could talk to her, explain things. We can wait a day or two."
Draco clasped her face between his hands. "Levi is going to continue to get sicker. If we wait, it's not going to matter."
"We could still bring it up to Pansy, and see how she feels."
Draco's face dropped, eyes going cold, "Why are you acting like this?"
Hermione felt fear settle in her gut. "I'm just trying to think of Levi. He's your child, you've taken up care for him when his mother died, why do you not act like you care for him?"
"You always were thinking of everyone but yourself, sometimes to your detriment. We are doing this today, Levi will be fine."
"I don't know if I'm ready to make such a big commitment."
"It's normal to be nervous Hermione. This is an exciting day." He turned his head to look at his watch. "Pans will be here in an hour to make sure everything is perfect. I myself need to take care of a few things, you should go check in on Levi."
So she did. Levi had dark circles under his eyes, and his skin was pale and damp.
"Hey." He smiled at her.
"Hi. Draco said you weren't feeling the best."
"Tired and feeling pain, well everywhere."
"I'm sorry." Hermione sat down on the foot of his bed, eyes downcast.
"Are you ok?"
"What do you mean?"
"You're marrying Draco today, binding yourselves together. I would think you'd be as excited as he is."
Hermione sighed, "I don't belong here, Levi."
"But you guys have been getting along so well these last few months. It seemed like you'd really settled in."
"Draco is a dark wizard Levi. He's done cruel and horrific things. While he may have been capable of loving me and being the kind man that I fell in love with. He isn't, too much has happened. He can't be my Draco any more than I can be his Hermione or your mom. We aren't the same person and I am so sorry that you never get to know her. She doesn't deserve to be replaced."
Levi swallowed thickly, "I just wanted to meet you."
"I know." Her heart ached for him, he seemed so much younger in this state. "I don't fault you for that. My parents, what I wouldn't give to have a second chance with them. But it's not right, keeping me here." He nodded.
"Draco, he destroyed the time turner the night I brought you here. He didn't want to risk you finding it."
Hermione closed her eyes, rubbing her forehead. Of course, he would have.
"I heard Draco on the floor earlier in the week, he was talking to someone about a potion, dark magic. He needed it in a hurry, I think he's planning on doing something else tonight, something to you maybe."
"Thank you, for the warning." Hermione got to her feet, "Get some rest."
"I watched you back in your time, followed you and Draco before I approached. You both seemed really happy, I could tell our Draco, they aren't the same. I hope you can get back home one day."
"So do I."
"Love?" Draco opened the door, "Pans just arrived, we should go greet her."
"Ok. Good night."
Draco placed his hand on Hermione's back steering her threw the halls until they reached Pansy. There was a round table set up just behind her, a cauldron sat steaming a top of it.
"Pans." Draco smiled pulling the girl in for a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you for coming."
"Well after so long and all our friends I've bound, I never thought I would get this call from you."
"I just hadn't had the right girl." Draco stepped out of the way to present Hermione, and Pansy balked.
Grabbing Draco by his lapels she shouted in his face, "Draco, what did you do?"
"Pansy you remember Hermione Granger."
"No- Well yes but, no. Draco how is this possible?"
"That doesn't matter, all that matters is she's here, with me."
"Have you tested her for enchantments and pollyjuice?"
Draco's head ticked to the side. "She is Hermione Granger. This is nothing fabricated about her."
Draco pried Pansy's small fingers from his jacket, dusting the area off.
"Necromancing is impossible, there have only ever been-"
"I did not bring her back from the dead. I simply brought her home."
Pansy shook her head, eyes looking to the cauldron and then back to her friend. She had watched his descent into madness at the loss of his love, seen it twist him up inside, how he doubted after Levi, giving only the purest part of himself to the boy. The rest burned away what was left of his soul.
"I can't do this." She whispered.
It felt like the air had been sucked by the room. Hermione shivered in fear, eyes tracking Draco's micro-expressions.
"What?"
Pansy took a cautious step back. "I can't perform the spell."
"Why?"
"I don't know how she is here, Draco. But I know she isn't supposed to be. If I do bind your magical cores, it will go wrong."
"That's what the potion is for." He replied icily.
Pansy shook her head. "I'm sorry, no."
Draco pulled his wand out, pointing it at his friend. Hermione straightened, oh my god, what the hell was he doing?
"I won't ask you again Pans."
"Put your wand down." Pansy snapped.
"Preform the spell."
"No."
"Crusio." She dropped.
Hermione's hands flew to cover her mouth. Pansy was screaming enough for the both of them.
"Stop! Draco, Stop!" Hermione commanded. "Stop it!"
He pulled the spell back, Pansy panted on the ground. "Either do the spell, or I'll make you."
Pansy blinked, eyes locked on the ceiling. She was clearly dazed. Her silence only pissed Draco off.
"Crusio!"
Hermione felt vomit building in her throat. How could he do this to one of his good friends? How could he do this right here in front of her? The scars on her arm are a nasty reminder of her time under the crucatus curse.
"Stop. Draco!" Hermione's movement toward him pulled focus and the spell was dropped.
"Don't worry love. Pans will come around."
"How dare you. How could you torture your friend? How could you use that spell in front of me, let alone at all?"
Draco frowned, his eyes darting to her covered arm and back. "She wasn't listening to reason."
"So you torture her?" He made a move toward her. "Do. Not. Touch. Me."
"Hermione."
"No!" Draco looked back at Pansy. "You will not raise your wand to her again."
"If we give her a minute, she will be fine."
Pansy whimpered as she tried to move into a seated position. Hermione walked over to her, dropping to her knees.
"Are you ok?" Pansy nodded, out of breath. "You aren't in any position to floo. I'll take you to bed, and get you some potions for the muscle spasms."
"We are not done here."
Hermione helped Pansy to her feet, the girl clinging to her arm.
"Do not ignore me!"
"What are you going to do, cast an unforgivable on me next?" Draco's jaw clenched. "Stay away from us."
Hermione brought Pansy to a room in Lucious and Narcissa's old wing. Wanting to be far away from Draco. She cleaned her up and asked the elves to bring her a couple of potions. Once Pansy was all cleaned up, Hermione put her to bed. An eye trained on the door in case Draco came knocking.
Hermione had searched Pansy for her wand, finding it in her boot. She only had one shot at this and did not want to waste it. So Hermione waited until one in the morning before making her way back to Draco's side of the manor.
She entered his room, the bed was empty. Trying his study next, Hermione came upon him.
"What are you doing love?" He raised a brow at her, unbothered. "Lower the wand."
"You're a monster." He smiled.
"Why do you say that?"
"You tortured your friend simply because they were trying to protect you. Keep you safe from a spell backfiring and without a breath, you cast an unforgivable."
The words Hermione spat at him did not seem to land. "She was sabotaging us."
"You're mad."
"For wanting to best for the women I love?"
"For not seeing how insane you have become. You don't think you've done anything wrong."
"Because I haven't." Draco took out his wand setting it down on the desk. "Let's talk."
When he was within reaching distance of her, Draco lunged grabbing the wand from her. Hermione shouted, trying to keep her hold on it, but he pinned her arms above her head and pried her hand off finger by finger.
He threw the wand behind him. "Sit down." She did not. "Do. As. You're. Told."
"Bite me!" Draco raised a brow, clearly enticed. "Don't even think about it."
"How are you so resistant? You are with me in your time, I can't imagine we are much removed from each other, why are you acting like this?"
That threw her for a loop. It was the first time he acknowledged he past relationship, other than to tell her to forget about it. Her heart throbbed as she remembered the way things used to be. Remembered the love and care. That was not their relationship now, it was dark, controlling and full of pain.
Hermione pointed at him, "You both are not the same. He never forced me to do things, he cared about my feelings and respected my words and wants. YOU on the other hand are completely out of control and clearly need psychological help."
"How is wanted to be with the woman I love Phycopathic!?"
Hermione shook her head, she was never going to win. No matter how much she fought, he was going to come back harder each and every time.
"I don't want to bond with you or have your babies, I don't want to live here with you. Because no matter what you say, you do not care about me."
"I beg to differ."
"I'm done talking to you and I should get back to Pansy, make sure you haven't inflicted too much damage." She glared. "You better hope I never get another wand again, because I will kill you."
"No, you won't." Fire lighting in her belly Hermione turned and marched toward him, punching him across the face.
Draco was knocked back and clenched his jaw, it wasn't broken.
"I promised Levi I would be here until he passes, as soon as that happens, I'm getting the fuck away from you."
Draco turned to watch her retreat, and a single thought entered his mind. She's mine, the boy had to go.
.
Hermione spent the following day with Pansy, making sure she had the right potions and keeping her in the bedroom far away from Draco. Once Pansy was well enough they started muttering to each other.
"How are you here?"
Hermione bit her bottom lip. "Levi came and stole me from 'my time'. I don't have my wand, I have no idea how to get back, I'm stuck here with them and Draco won't let me leave. You are the first person I've seen, outside of them, since I've been here."
"Ok. Let me work on it, ok. I'm going to help you."
"He'll kill you, after everything I've just seen. what he's been doing to me. I don't think over twenty years of friendship matters much to him."
"I'll figure it out, just stay safe and sane until I get back." Hermione nodded. "And whatever you do, don't bond with him."
It was time for the blonde to go, if she stayed any longer Draco might come looking. With Hermione's help, she went out the front door and apparete away.
"Miss?" The little elf behind her muttered, tears in her eyes. "You must come with me."
"Why, what happened?"
"The young Mr, he passed in the night."
Hermione's jaw almost hit the floor. "Levi?"
The elf nodded, holding her hand out for Hermione to take. Not knowing where he might be, Hermione grabbed her hand and felt a pull in her belly. They landed in Levi's room, his pale face peaceful, eyes closed.
"He's at rest now."
Hermione flinched turning to look at Draco, the blonde was in the doorway.
"Why did you not come to get me?" She walked slowly to the bed.
"Your priorities were elsewhere." He said matter of fact.
Tears wheeled in her eyes, "I would have come for this, for him."
Draco huffed out an aggressive breath behind her, "It was fast, he didn't suffer."
At his words Hermione stilled, she had been reaching out to take the kid's hand. The way Draco was talking. The man who raised this boy and seemed to have so much care for him was emotionless at his passing. His eyes weren't swollen or red, he'd had no reaction.
"What did you do?" Hermione held her breath.
"He was dying anyway, Love." Hermione choked on her breath.
"You killed him. Why? Why waste all that time brewing pain management potions if you were just going to kill him?"
"I made those for you, to ease your mind." He said like it was obvious. "He was getting in the way."
"No. No, he was not. He's the reason I'm even here!" Hermione climbed up on the bed and sat with him. "Get out! You don't even deserve to look at him."
"He's just a husk now."
"Get out." The room was silent, Draco refusing to leave. "How did you do it?"
"I charmed a pillow to cover his face, and placed a sticky charm on it."
Hermione's chest tightened, she was dizzy and felt it hard to breathe. "Leave."
"I'm going to have the elves burn his body."
"No. I'm burying him until his tree. Missy, get me a shovel."
"Hermione, you are not going to dig a hole out in the yard."
She glared, getting up from the bed and marching out into the hall. "Watch me. Missy, do not let anyone touch the body."
"Yes, Miss."
She was supplied with a shovel and made her way to the yard. She dug and dug until her palms were raw and she was covered in a shine of sweat. Over three hours later she was satisfied and went back to Levi's room. She had the elves move the body out of the house and to the yard, lowering him into the grave. Draco watched on from his study, he hadn't moved from that spot since Hermione marched over there with a shovel.
After covering him up Hermione picked some flowers and knelt down behind the mound of dirt. She said a couple of silent prayers both muggle and magical and laid the flowers over him.
She collapsed next to the shovel, her body tired but her heart was truly taking the beating. She was mad at Levi for bringing her here, but he was only a child wanting the chance to know one of his parents. How could she fault him for that? Especially knowing that Draco was behind everything pulling the strings.
No, he was not Draco, she had to set that in her mind and hold on to it. Pansey said she would help her, and Hermione would hold onto that for as long as she could. Malfoy had another thing coming if he thought they could just return to sex and casual kisses and touches after he killed a child.
.
Hermione had not touched, looked at or talked to Malfoy in over a week. Levi had been dead a whole week, killed, and Draco was acting like everything was business as usual. In his dark mind, maybe it all was. Did he ever care about Levi? Was it all just a game to potentially get to this end, to get her back into his life by any means necessary?
It did not matter, she was leaving even if she had to kill him to do it.
Now that she was standing in the shower, under the warm spray she tried to comb back through everything through the muddling in her mind. There was no doubt about it, Malfoy had drugged her and maybe even used memory charms to bend her to his will.
She had given in, through no fault of her own and felt so violated and enraged.
Pansy told her to stay out of the way and alive until she could figure out how to help her. Hermione was not sure if she could keep to her word, not with who she was up against. She had to push it all down. Her love for Draco, the real one, forgets it all because in order to make it out alive, she needed to not care on shred about her opponent.
"Love, join me for lunch. I have set out a picnic on the lawn."
Hermione jolted, Malfoy's voice had come from just outside the bathroom door, which meant he had broken into her bedroom.
She planned to ignore him, but she heard the tell-tale sound of the lock clicking open.
"I'll be out in a minute!" It pained her to give in after a week of silence.
Malfoy had condescended to her daily. He said he understood with her loss that she might have an inability for words, but he would love her through it anyway. Now to break felt like such a crushing blow. But it was better than having him walking in here and possibly joining her.
She was thankful she had brought her chance of clothes into the bathroom with her because he was sitting on the bed when she came out.
"You look stunning, how are you feeling today?"
Hermione ignored him, walking passed and out of the room. She could not hear his footsteps but she knew Malfoy was following her. She deliberately walked into the kitchen and started cutting up some fruits.
Malfoy darkened the doorway, sharp eyes analyzing her. Malfoy's fuse had always been short and she did not care.
"There are all kinds of fruits, meats, and cheeses out on the lawn waiting for us." His voice hardened.
When she did not acknowledge him Malfoy crossed the room spinning her to face him, her back pressed back into the counter, knife still in hand.
"I know you are grieving love but I will not be ignored in my own home by my own wife." His words were slow and lethal.
Hermione kept her back straight and stared into his eyes, challenging him. "I am not, nor will I ever be your wife."
Malfoy's hand shot out and he grabbed her wrist, using her hand to bring the knife in the shallow space between their faces. His eyes flicked to her bicep where his aunt carved the nasty slur into her arm.
"Do I need to carve my name into your arm for it to stick in your mind? You are mine, I have been patient and lenient, but this insolence, will not be tolerated. You will act accordingly from now on or I will be forced to correct you. As you've so kindly pointed out before Levi isn't your son, a week or pouring is more than enough for the death of a stranger."
"You're foul."
Malfoy forced her arm closer to her body, the knife point pressing up under her chin. Hermione raised her head to avoid being cut by the sharp blade. He slowly forced the cool blade the travel down her neck and into the little dip on her collarbone.
"You, my dutiful wife, are delectable."
Hermione wanted to gag at what he was insinuating. She had let this man between her legs and inside of her and here he was throwing it back in her face.
"You are never touching me like that again."
Malfoy removes the knife, grabs it from her hands and slams it down on the table behind her. His pale hand came up to wrap around her neck squeezing at the sides. Hermione's hands flew up to grab at his wrist.
"I will touch you in whatever ways I see fit. Once you have learned to behave as you should, I will breed your womb and we will finally start our family."
Hermione was shaking with both fear and rage. "Did you rape her too? Threaten her life and force her into an empty performance of fake love? That is the only way any version of myself would love you, Malfoy"
Malfoy's eyes melted into black obsidian, that is the last thing she saw before everything went black.
