Here we are at a brand new story. It's the second part of the RWBY x JL crossover, and of course, I had to write a story with Team KEPL in it. You guys know how it is. Also, the stupid spelling correction system in this site won't let me spell Kilgore's name correctly, so I apologize for having to spell it differently to keep the name in. Please, bear with it. One more thing, Voshkie'ahk won't be in this one since Team JNR aren't in it either, just to make things fair. Anyway, I do not own RWBY or Justice League. They belong to their respective owners. I only own my OCs. Here's chapter 1. Enjoy.

Chapter 1: A Grimm Welcome Home

Superman groans as he slowly opens his eyes. Lifting himself off the slab, he blinks his eyes as he sees the rest of the Justice League in the same state as him. He remembers what happened to them before. The battle against Kilgore in his digital world and meeting Teams KEPL, RWBY, JNR, and Voshkie'ahk who were trapped there with them.

"Are we... Are we back?" Superman asks as the team collects themselves.

Just then, a door opens up behind them and in runs their comrade, Black Canary.

"Geez, it's about time you guys woke up! What happened to you guys? The last report on you guys said you were fighting Kilgore in Central City and then just suddenly collapsed. Green Arrow and I brought you guys back, and then we got the alert. Things are getting really bad out there. We could really use your help right now. No one in the League have seen monsters like these ones," Black Canary says.

Wonder Woman steps off her slab, "Hold it, Canary. Slow down...," she holds her head.

Vixen groans, "Am I the only one who had a really weird dream?"

"It wasn't a dream," Cyborg states while looking at a huge monitor. "We were all trapped in Kilgore's digital world,"

"Wait, his what now?" Canary is confused.

"He escaped. We need to find him," Flash says before collapsing onto the floor.

Canary helps sit him up, "It's okay, Barry. We've got bigger problems right now,"

"Wait, Canary. You said monsters. What kind of monsters?" Superman asks.

"A lot of the reserve members have been on rotation on keeping an eye on you guys, waiting for you to get better. That's why I'm here," Canary explains.

Batman sighs, "We're too late then,"

"Canary... where are the others?" Green Lantern asks.

…

In their command center, Canary shows several breaking news reports with videos and images showing black monsters with bone armor and red eyes everywhere; destroying everything in sight. They're monsters Superman's team have become quite familiar with.

"Grimm," Jessica notes in dismay.

"Yeah, it's not good," Canary replies.

"No, that's what they're called. The Creatures of Grimm," Cyborg clarifies.

"They're everywhere. How did this happen?" Wonder woman mutters.

"Kilgore..." Flash answers.

Canary chuckles, "Hahaha, seriously?" she thinks he's joking, but when he doesn't respond, she loses her smile. "Wait, seriously? But, Kilgore's a joke. He wants us dead, not to take over the world."

"We know. Kilgore isn't working alone," Supermans says.

"Someone stronger and smarter," Batman adds.

"Okay, so what's the plan?" Canary asks.

"We encountered these monsters in Kilgore's digital world. They're attracted to negative emotions. And we weren't the only ones trapped in there. They come from a world called Remnant. Similar to, but different, from ours. Humans live on that world, and they have warriors called Huntsmen and Huntresses who are trained to fight Grimm. We met a few teams of them in that world. Teams RWBY, KEPL, and JNR, along with a few others. It was only with their help that we defeated Kilgore and escaped back to our world. He was working with someone from their world. That's how they got there, and how the Grimm came here," Batman explains.

"Wait... Teams RWBY, KEPL, and JNR? Are you serious?" Canary doesn't get it.

"Don't ask about the names. But, they became friends of ours, and they are strong warriors. If we're going to stop Kilgore and his accomplice, then we'll need their help," Superman says.

In Gotham, Grimm continue to destroy everything in sight. One Teraptor walks down an alley, sensing the negativity coming from a scared little boy hiding behind a dumpster. It walks around until it find the boy. The boy screams as the Grimm is about to attack, only for a second dumpster to fly in and hit its head. They both turn to see a figure in the shadows.

"Hmph, and they say I'm ugly," the figure walks out, turning out to be Kill Croc.

The Teraptor roars and charges at him, but he holds it back by its jaws and pushes it back.

"Are... you here to kill me?" the boy asks, scared.

"What? No, I'm helping you. Get out of here, now!" Croc retorts.

The boy runs out of the alley, but a pair on tentacles stop his retreat. He looks up to see a Tempest grimm above him, ready to eat him.

Croc sees this and groans, "Oh, give me a break, will ya,"

He throws the Teraptor into a wall before running over and saving the boy before he gets crushed. He runs away with the boy in his arms, but a tentacle wraps around his neck. The Teraptor charges at them, but batarangs fly out, slicing the tentacle off and killing the Tempest. Batman flies in and kicks the Teraptor to the ground.

He turns to Croc, "Get him to safety. We'll take care of things here,"

Killer Croc nods before running away with the boy in his arms. Batman turns his attention to the Teraptor as it gets back up and charges at him. Batman throws a smoke bomb, blinding the grimm as the battle gets underway.

…

"Get them to safety, now!" the voice of Porphyrius rings out.

In the desert outside Vacuo on Remnant, Teams RWBY and KEPL are currently helping some civilians that got attacked by grimm. Specifically, a King Taijitu. Porphyrius fires off his rifles while Yang and Blake escort a few civilians to their transport. The white head of the grimm slithers towards him, only for a steel fist to come out and nail it in the side of the head. Porphyrius glances over as Lloyd gives him a thumbs up before jumping back as the Grimm tries to swallow him whole.

"This one's pretty wily today," Lloyd notes.

Up above, Weiss flies across her glyphs as she circles around and lands near them. The white head Taijitu turns to her, but a pair of large skull phantoms fly down and crash into it, forcing it onto the sand. Edom nods to Weiss, who takes this chance to create several glyphs; firing off ice shards that impale the body. The grimm roars before an explosion happens behind it as a dust cloud of sand springs up. They see Ruby running out of the dust, screaming, as she fires off her scythe to propel herself away from the black head of the Taijitu as it chases her. She jumps into the air, firing off her scythe at its head. While the grimm may have been stunned by the shot, Ruby starts falling towards the ground, much to her teammates horror. However, a figure jumps out and catches her, landing safely on the ground.

"That was very reckless, little rose," Khazhak Rairyu notes as he sets her down.

The black head of the grimm comes towards them. Khazhak stands in front of Ruby as blue lightning engulfs his left human arm. A moment later, it shifts into his dragon arm and he throws a left hook, knocking the black head aside. Drawing his sword, he charges up his semblance before sending out his Lightning Devastation technique to send it crashing next to the white head. As Khazhak gets ready for another attack, Ruby runs right by him.

"Ruby, wait!" Khazhak yells out to no avail.

Ruby fires her scythe behind her, propelling her over the body and into the middle of the snake den. The two heads come out to try and eat her, but she jumps and races along its body to evade them. She flies up with her semblance and stabs her scythe behind the black head. As the white head comes up at her, Lloyd flies in, encased in steel, and tackles the white head to the ground. He keeps it pinned, allowing Khazhak to fall down and slice it off with a single strike of his sword. Seeing this, Ruby fires off her scythe, beheading the black head. She lands safely on the ground and twirls her scythe around before holstering it with a confident smile.

"All in a day's work," Ruby turns to her friends, but they aren't so happy.

While Weiss, Blake, and most of Team KEPL look concerned, Yang looks angry, and Khazhak looks worried.

…

Back on Earth, Batman gets knocked into a lamppost and then dodges out of the way of the Teraptor's mouth, causing it to bite the metal instead. The grimm rips the lamppost out of the ground and turns to him, not noticing the explosive charge on it. The Teraptor drops the post, but the bomb explodes and kills it before it can attack Batman. However, instead of dissipating into smoke like grimm when they normally die, this one's body just turns into black ooze on the ground. Batman looks back as a second Teraptor jumps out from an alley towards him. He rolls out of the way and eyes the monster, gritting his teeth.

"Hey!" Batman looks up to see Vixen standing on a nearby rooftop. "So, ever thought this would be your life when you grew up?" she jokes.

Vixen touches her necklace, granting her the strength of a gorilla, and jumps into the fray. The Teraptor tries to sink its teeth into her, but she dodges to the side and hits it with a powered-up left cross, sending it flying back.

"Or, were you just a young bat pup, trying on the cape and cowl before your voice cracked?" Vixen jokes.

Batman fires his grapple gun to fly up while Vixen runs ahead. He lands on a lamppost and throws a few more batarangs at the grimm, hitting its head and neck. It flies up at him, but Vixen grabs its tail, keeping its jaws just out of reach of Batman. Vixen forces it to the ground, allowing Batman to wrap his grapple wire around its neck. Batman then jumps back, pulling the wire with him to cleave the grimm's head off.

"What's the situation in Gotham Square?" Batman asks.

"Riddler, Catwoman, and I took care of things there. Good thing they're lending a hand," Vixen notes before they both pull hard and behead the Teraptor.

"Killer Croc as well. The Grimm attack every living thing here, which includes them. So, out of self-preservation, they'll work with us. At least for now," Batman says.

"Yep. Much more cooperative when they're having trouble saving their own asses. Have you heard from Flash and Lantern?" Vixen asks.

"No, they haven't been able to contact Remnant yet," Batman replies.

Just then, they jump back before getting stomped by the leg of a Goliath. The large Grimm roars as it faces them.

"You know, you ever get the feeling that these things seem really intent on taking US out?!" Vixen asks.

The Goliath tries to crush them again, forcing them back.

"Cyborg, we need an assist, now," Batman calls out, not noticing something crawling down the road behind them. The Goliath charges at them again. "Cyborg!"

"I got you, Batman!" Cyborg calls out as he lands behind them.

Cyborg pulls out a triangular device in his hand and throws it at the grimm. "Try this on for size,"

It lands underneath the Goliath and then activates, trapping the gimm in a dome, electical prison.

"So, what's that supposed to do? Beam it up to the mothership?" Vixen jokes.

"I got some inspiration for it from Kilg's digital world. That should keep it pinned while we-," Cyborg says before the prison starts to crack.

"Needs work," Batman dryly notes.

"I'm still having trouble with the coding. I just can't find the right-,"

"Justic League!" a distorted voice rings out as the Goliath breaks free from the prison.

"Did... it just talk?" Vixen asks, shocked.

"Not. Escape. Me. Again!" the voice rings out again as the Goliath's body glitches.

Batman recognizes that voice, "Kilgore,"

Cyborg flies in fast and throws a hard right punch at the Goliath's face, cracking its bone armor and knocking it back.

"How are you doing this?" Cyborg demands, while Kilgore just laughs.

Vixen groans, "Any other bright ideas?"

"Yes. You two distract him. That body he's using is damaged. It won't last long," Batman says.

They nod before going in different directions. Vixen touches her necklace, granting her the power of eagle's flight, and takes to the air. She flies around Kilgore while Cyborg grabs his device. He takes a quick look at it, but has to duck to avoid Kilgore's trunk. Meanwhile, Batman takes a route around the fight to get to Kilgore's blind spot. Cyborg fires his laser cannon, forcing Kilgore back as Batman continues to run around them, not noticing that he's being followed. As the two continue to fight, Batman comes to their rear. However, a yellow stinger comes out and Batman turns just in time to get stung by it and screams out in pain. Vixen and Cyborg look to see Batman fall to his knees as a Deathstalker retreats into the shadows, it's task already complete. Cyborg quickly runs to his side.

Batman is breathing heavily, "The... stinger... Poison..." he groans in pain.

Vixen and Cyborg turn back to Kilgore, "He's changing them... to fight you. What a time to shine," Kilgore says.

"Batman!" Cyborg yells as Vixen is about to attack, turning to see Batman passed out.

"We need to get him to the Hall of Justice, now! He needs medical attention," Cyborg says.

Kilgore laughs like a maniac as he walks off, knowing they won't come after him. Not when they have to take care of Batman first.

Back on Remnant, Teams RWBY and KEPL have already returned to Vacuo after completing their dangerous mission and returned to their current living quarters.

"I feel amazing!" Ruby cheers as she opens up the door to one of their rooms. "Hey, who's up for going down Rockway Pass tomorrow?" she asks cheerfully before taking a seat, while the others follow her inside.

"You know there's a lot of Grimm blocking that way, right?" Porphyrius asks.

"We could find a route around without much trouble. And it wouldn't take too long either," Edom suggests.

"Or, we smash our way through and clear the way for everyone else. And reach our next patrol destination even faster. Everyone wins, well, except for the Grimm," Ruby says, taking out her scroll to check out other missions.

Khazhak and Yang are the last to walk in, with Ruby's sister slamming the door shut behind them, spooking the others.

"Ruby, you have to stop doing this. Today, it was a King Taijitu. Yesterday, it was a pack of Sulphurfish," Yang says as she walks up to her sister.

"And then there were the Ravagers before that," Lloyd notes.

"Right, almost slipped my mind," Yang rolls her eyes.

"Ruby, ever since we made it back, you've been going on many dangerous missions left and right. Some might call it confidence that drives you, but from where I'm standing... I think it's something else. Charging recklessly into unnecessary danger doesn't help anyone. Haven't you thought about the future?" Khazhak asks, concerned for his beloved.

"As long as we save Remnant in the end, then everything else will be okay," Ruby replies, not really listening.

"Ruby, this battle for Remnant is about more than just Rockaway Pass. When Salem comes, and she will eventually, we need to be at our best when she does. Only then, can we save Remnant," Blake explains.

"At least the parts of it that haven't been destroyed," Porphyrius crosses his arms.

"Porphyrius is right. Vacuo is all that's really left. We can't let what happened to Atlas happen here," Yang says.

The mentioning of Atlas causes Weiss to see flashbacks of Atlas' fall. The bitter memory of losing her home causes Weiss to leave the others, who only notice when she opens the door.

"Weiss?" Ruby looks worried for her partner.

Edom as well before he goes after her.

"It is the physical scars that heal the quickest. But those aren't the scars that Weiss has right now," Bahamut notes.

Khazhak sighs, "Indeed. Same with Edom,"

…

Back on Earth, in an unknown facility, Kilgore opens a door and starts walking past dead grimm bodies up to a large tube at the other end of the room.

"Were you successful?" a voice rings out as the tube glows with a black substance within it.

"We could've used the poison to take out the rest of the Justice League," Kilgore notes.

"Poison won't work on the rest of them. Their powers make it so poison won't be effective against them. Don't worry, they'll meet their end soon enough. Remember, we needed to take Batman out of the picture so he can't figure out our plan before it comes to fruition," Kilgore's accomplish states.

Kilgore stops in front of the tube, his grimm body slowly falling apart, "Yeah, yeah, whatever,"

"Not whatever. He's the greatest detective in your world. If we didn't deal with him first, he would've realized what's really going on and then our efforts would be meaningless. We cannot afford to fail. Again," the voice states.

"Then why aren't we doing this online? In case you forgot, I'm an AI. We both know I have the advantage in the digital world. And of course, let's not forget that you don't even have a body right now. Just because it didn't work the first time, doesn't mean the digital world won't work a second time," Kilgore argues.

The voice distorts in the tube, "You do know what insanity means, don't you?" he retorts.

"Of course I do! Ugh, you treat me like I'm some kind of sniveling brat," Kilgore argues.

"I'm merely pointing out the fact that the sooner we complete this program, the sooner we can move on to phase three,' the robotic voice replies.

Kilgore's body completely falls apart and he transfers himself to a nearby monitor; his true form appearing on the screen.

"And the sooner we can destroy the Justice League," Kilgore declares.

And that's the chapter. I gave Khazhak the ability to freely switch between his human arm and dragon arm like Nero in DMC 5 after he gets his arm back, and of course, Team KEPL is in their Atlas outfits. Anyway, Grimm are causing chaos on Earth as the Justice League fight Kilg. Meanwhile, Team RWBY and KEPL are doing what they usually do, but all is not well in their little group. What dangers await both sides in this perilous journey between two worlds? Until then, please Read and Review.
