Season 4 Chapter 19: Birth of an Anomaly
A/N: I might be going to go on a temporary hiatus on this fic because I have too many things to focus right now especially when there's little to no interest to this fic. It's not cancelled but I hope to return here in future. Well at least now I don't have anymore waiting chapters to be publish here. It was a rather an annoying experience for me for nearly an entire year tbh. Anyways, enjoy.
Thunder Emperor clenched his fists as his hands gained a purple aura.
"I won't forgive you. You made use of World Traveler and have hurt my friends. From here, I will avenge them!"
"Yes yes. You will totally defeat me. You were defeated by Revolver and you still want to be defeated again? Do you not know your own battles? I've shown you how outmatched all of you are, and yet you still dare to face me."
"I don't care about that. I will not allow you to do whatever you want with my friends anymore! If a duel is what you want from me, then that's the only thing you will get."
"Then please do entertain me. Let's see if you can actually defeat me in a duel" Both duelists activate their duel disks.
"Master Duel!"
Thunder Emperor vs Apprentice
Turn 1: Apprentice
"Since World Traveler took the first turn, it's only fair that I demand to take the first turn in this duel. I summon Bururu atIgnister and activate its effect when it's summoned, sending 6elements atignister from deck to GY. Since 6elements has been sent to GY, it's effect activates, adding Doyon atIgnister to hand."
"Appear! The circuit that guides the dark! I set Bururu into the Link Marker! Link Summon! Link 1 DarkInfant atIgnister!"
"Since DarkInfant is Link Summoned, I add Ignister Ailand from my deck to my hand, then I activate it. With it's effect I summon the Dark Doyon atIgnister. Doyon's effect adds Bururu from GY to hand. Appear! The circuit that guides the dark! Summon conditions require 2 Dark Cyberse Monsters!"
"Link Summon! Appear Link 2! Dark Sage atignister!" From the Link Portal, it summoned a boy that looked similar to Cybserse Wicckid, except that it wears a gold armor like Exsayer. Dark Sage on his left holds a wand that resembles a wand from Cybserse Witch and on his right he holds a spear that resembles the wand from Clock Spatori.
"Dark Sage's effect activates when Link Summoned, I add Ignister Darkland from my deck to hand" Upon hearing this, Thunder Emperor prepares himself. He remembers that card being an evolution to Ignister Ailand and it's effect is dangerous alongside with Dark Skirmisher.
"I activate Dark Sage's other effect. I can tribute him to special summon 2 Dark Attribute atignister monsters from my GY. Come forth! Doyon and 6elements. 6elements effect activates, I summon Pikari from my hand and treat itself as Dark attribute. Pikari's effect activates, I add an A.I card from my deck to hand."
"Appear once again, The circuit that guides the dark!" Unlike other link portals, the link portal was in a dark shade of blue.
"Summoning conditions are 2 non-Link monsters. I set Doyon and 6elements into the Link Marker! Link Summon! Link 2! IP:Masquena."
"You seem very tense when I activate Dark Sage's effect to add Darkland to hand. Well, I won't keep you waiting any longer. Since I have Ignister Ailand on my field, I can activate the field spell Ignister Darkland!" Meteors began to strike at Ignister Ailand as Thunder Emperor dodges them that might hit him.
"When Darkland is activated, I special summon Dark Sage from GY with its effects negated. I activate its other effect, I discard Bururu to add $$$ atignister from deck to hand. Then for the last time, I use Pikari to Link Summon Link 1 Linguriboh. I set 2 cards face down and end my turn. Now bring it Thunder Emperor. Let's see if you got what it takes to beat me." Apprentice taunted as his hands signaled for a challenge.
"This guy is underestimating me. He summoned monsters with low ATK on the field. He could have Link Summon Dark Templar, Fire Phoenix or Dark Skirmisher. Something is definitely up with him." Thunder Emperor thought to himself. He should take his turn carefully.
Turn 2: Thunder Emperor
"My turn, draw. I activate Thunder Dragon from my hand to discard itself to add another copy to hand. Then I'll use the same effect again, adding the 3rd to my hand. Since I activated a monster's effect from hand this turn, I banish a thunder monster from my hand to Special Summon Thunder Dragonlord!" A large dragon was summoned onto the field.
"The card I've just banished was Dragondark which I activate it's effect, I add Dragonhawk to hand. Then I'll discard it to activate it's effect, I summon the banished Dragondark to my field. I normal summon Dragonmatrix and then... Appear, the shining circuit that saves the lost one!" A purple colored Link Portal was made.
"The summoning conditions are 2 Effect Monsters. I use Dragonmatrix and Dragondark to the Link Material! Link Summon! Link 2! Predaplant Verte Annaconda!" When Verte was being summoned onto the field, Masquena and Verte began to resonate blue and purple auras. For a brief moment, all cards be it on face up or down on the field, hand, deck, extra deck, GY and banished zone glitches in and out aside from Verte and Masquena. As soon as the strange phenomenon ends, Apprentice was reminded of the those six cards.
"So this is what happens when two of those cards are on the field." Apprentice noted.
"Summoning Verte means you are going to Fusion Summon. Bring it Thunder Emperor, activate Verte's effect. Let's see how your best fares against me!"
"So you know about my monster's effect." Thunder Empeor narrowed his eyes as he continues.
"Dragonmatrix's effect activates, I add another copy to hand then Verte's effect activate, I pay 2000 LP (Thunder Emperor: 4000 - 2000), I send Thunder Dragon Fusion from deck to GY to use it's effect. I shuffle 2 Thunder Dragons and Thunder Dragonhawk from GY to Fusion Summon!" Thunder Dragonhawk and the two Thunder Dragons began to fuse each other.
"Heavenly Dragons of the Sky, join together and become the ultimate dragon of destruction! Fusion Summon! Level 10! Thunder Dragon Titan!" Thunder Emperor's ace monster was summoned.
"That's some high ATK you have there as your ace monster. But ATK values mean nothing in this current era."
"You might be thinking that I lost quite the amount of LP to activate Verte's effect. But I've prepared measures from it. I activate a Quick Play Spell Thunder Life! Since I activated a Thunder monster's effect from the hand this way, I gain LP equal to the highest Thunder Monster's ATK/DEF that was activated from the hand this turn. I gain LP equal to Thunder Dragonhawk's DEF of 2200 (Thunder Emperor: 2000 - 4200)
"So activating Thunder Life is just to offset the cost of your Verte. You paid that price from it's weakness beforehand when you lost your previous duel. And it's not just that. It's obvious that you are wary of something. Is it because of my Dark Skirmisher's effect? I wonder..."
"I discard Thunder Dragon to activate it's effect, adding another copy to hand. And then Titan's effect activates when the Thunder Type Thunder Dragon is activated on the hand, I destroy Dark Sage!"
"So you decided to destroy Dark Sage since it's a strong support card for my deck. But it won't happen. Appear, the circuit that leads the dark!" From above it opened a Link Portal during Thunder Emperor's turn.
"What? You can't Link Summon on my turn!"
"Normally I can't. However, Masquena's effect allows Link Summon immediately by using monsters on the field including her as a Link Material during your turn."
"You're using same effect as World Legacy Awakens?"
"Summoning Conditions require at least 2 Dark Cyberse Link Monsters. I set Link 2 Dark Sage and Link 2 Masquena! The fallen dark shadows that succumbs the sorrows of the ruined world! Return from the maelstorm to destroy the premeditated fate! Link Summon! Link 4! Dark Skirmisher atIgnister!" Apprentice's ace monster appears.
"Because Dark Sage leaves the field, Titan's effect will resolve without destroying any cards!"
"But you were forced to summon Dark Skirmisher, which means I can now destroy it! I activate Thunder Dragon's effect from the hand again which adds the last copy to my hand. Naturally that follows with Titan's effect: I destroy Dark Skirmisher!"
"If Masquena is used as a Link Material, Dark Skirmisher cannot be destroyed by card effects!" A barrier was formed from Masquena's spirit as it protects the destruction effect.
"Then I'll destroy it in battle!" Thunder Emperor had gain purple aura as the purple flames start to surround him.
"Thunder Dragon Titan, destroy Dark Skirmisher! Triple Thunder Burst!" Thunder Emperor's ace monster begins to charge it's attacks.
"Dark Skirmisher cannot be destroyed by battle." Soon enough, Titan launched bolts of lighting at Dark Skirmisher. However the latter has blocked the bolts of lighting with its sword. (Apprentice: 4000 - 3800)
"With Masquena's effect, Dark Skirmisher is indestructible!"
"But the same doesn't say the same from your Linguriboh. Dragonlord attacks Linguriboh!"
"Think about what you are going to say before you get disappointment! I activate the trap card Reality! Since my Cybserse Monster is about to be destroyed, your Dragonlord is destroyed instead."
"But you still take battle damage!". The impact that Dragonlord did glitched his figure as Apprentice covers himself from the impact.(Apprentice: 3800 - 1100)
"I'll set a card facedown and end my turn"
"Since AIternate Reality destroyed your monster, I send Linguriboh to the GY." Linguriboh glitches out.
"I didn't think you would be prepared to combat against Dark Skirmisher in such a short time. The program that I wore is unstable and because of the damage you have done to me, I have to deactivate it immediately. So, behold, my true form!" Apprentice ascends as his shadow figure dissipates. Soon, he decends in a new figure. His new form is a tall young man with yellow eyes that have rectangular pupils, black shoulder length, spiky hair with yellow tips, along with purple bangs with pink highlights. He wears a light purple formal shirt with a black cravat, vest, pants, and cape with golden stripes at the bottom and a red lining. He wears black boots with silver toes. He also wears a pair of purple earrings with orange studs and a blue diamond chip on his neck and back.
"How do you like my avatars? Gorgeous? Unlike your lame avatars." Apprentice laughs at Thunder Emperor. He 'disabled' his Transmulation Program as it needs to be repaired. He was ordered to stay hidden in the network and watch over Thunder Emperor, World Traveler and Zephyr because of this very reason. However, Apprentice was impatent. In order for them to be prepared, he had trapped them his own private server encripted with his own code to duel them. His enhanced encryption is enough for any outsider to not notice this server. Not even THEM or HIM would know of this.
"I don't care about your overpriced suit. I will still beat you" Thunder Emperor clentched his fists.
"I doubt you will unless you are Playmaker himself." Apprentice thought of all of his duels for a moment. His loses were against Playmaker and his own foes.
Turn 3: Apprentice
"I draw. I activate the second effect of Reality! Since I controls Ignister Darkland while Ignister Ailand is in the GY, Darkland can use the effect of AIland from the GY but it cannot activate it's own effect for the rest of the turn. With AIland's effect, I special summon the Dark Attribute $$$atIgnister. Since it's summoned, I can special summon *Starzzz* atIgnister from my deck. *Starzzz*'s effect summons atignister token to my field."
"Appear! The circuit that leads the dark! Summoning conditions require 3 cyberse monsters including a Dark monster." Apprentice declares as his monsters enters the link portal.
"The creation of dark shadows! The wisdom of the dark night scatters throughout the world! Gather in my hand to become the power of rising vigor! Link Summon! Appear, Link 3 Dark Templar atIgnister!" Dark Skirmisher's base form has been summoned onto the field.
"Two of your ace monsters are on the field. But outnumbering me won't scare me."
"You are right but that's not what I am planning to. Dark Templar won't be staying on the field much longer. Linguriboh's effect, I tribute Dark Templar to summon itself."
"And since Dark Templar is on the GY, you are going to-"
"That's right. I will equip Dark Templar into Dark Skirmisher. Dark Skirmisher's effect! Inherited Darkness!"
"Now that it's equipped, Dark Skirmisher's ATK will end this duel immediately when it attacks your 500 ATK Verte. Battle! Dark Skirmisher attacks Predaplant Verte Annaconda! Dark Skirmisher's effect, I send Dark Templar to the GY to gain it's ATK!"
"I activate Thunder Dragon Discharge! I banish Dragondark from my deck to destroy the equip card Dark Templar!"
"So you are planning to deny Dark Skirmisher's effect by destroying it. But that won't work! Linguriboh's effect activates! I tribute itself to negate Discharge and banish it!"
"What?" Discharge greys out as it begins to fizzle away. Soon, Thunder Emperor's card was banished by the effect of Linguriboh.
"Dark Skirmisher continues (Dark Skirmisher ATK: 3000 - 5300)! Finish Verte off! Dark Destruction!"
"I won't let this duel end this easily! I activate Dragonmatrix's effect onto Titan. Now Titan's ATK increases by 500 ATK (Titan ATK: 3200 - 3700). At this moment, I activate Titan's effect, I can destroy a card on the field."
"I've already told you that Dark Skirmisher can't be destroyed by card effects"
"I know, that's why I destroy Verte! Heavenly Thunder's Punishment!" Titan shoots a blot of lightning at Verte, destroying the latter.
"Very good, you destroyed Verte so that you can survive this turn. But your ace monster shall be destroyed with Verte. Dark Skrimisher attacks Titan! Dark Destruction!" Dark Skirmisher opened his wings as it dashes towards Titan. Soon, it slashes through Titan as it was destroyed. (Thunder Emperor: 4200 - 2600).
"The battle phase is over. But I still have cards to play. I activate FAIthing Spirit to Special Summon Dark Templar from GY. And now, it's time to face judgement itself! Since Dark Templar's Link Arrow point to a Spell/Trap Zone, I can activate a Link Spell! The three arrows that judge everything! Link Spell, Judgement Arrows!"
"Crap, it's that card that will double the Link Monster's ATK when it battles. While Dark Skirmisher won't benefit from Judgement Arrows since it's not pointing to it, Dark Templar does."
"I set a card face down and end my turn"
Turn 4: Thunder Emperor
"My turn, draw."
"At this point, I activate AI.Q and AI Challenge you. With AI.Q's effect, you can only Link Summon once per turn. AI challenge you's effect reduces all of your monsters' ATK by 100 for every card I control I control 6 cards, so your monsters loses 600 ATK"
"I activate Fusion's effect from GY, by banishing it, I add Dragonroar from my GY to hand then I discard Dragonroar's effect to activate it's effect, I add Fusion back to my hand."
"Thunder Emperor's recycle Fusion combo began when you sent Fusion to GY with Verte's effect. He can use Fusion to shuffle Titan, Dragonroar and Thunder Dragon to bring back Titan" Apprentice had thought about Thunder Emperor's combo.
"I activate Fusion, shuffling 2 Thunder Dragons and Titan from GY to Fusion Summon! Return, Thunder Dragon Titan."
"Don't forget that AI challenge you's effect decreases Titan's ATK! (Titan ATK: 3200 - 2600)"
"But it doesn't negate Titan's effect. I activate Thunder Dragon's effect to discard itself to add another copy to hand. Titan's effect destroys Darkland! I'll do the same thing again, this time Titan destroys Judgement Arrows! Heavenly Thunder's Punishment!" Thunder Emperor activated the effect of Thunder Dragon after he destroyed Darkland which allowed him to activate Titan's effect.
"Tch, since Judgement Arrows is destroyed, all monsters that it points to are destroyed as well."
"Your card backfired, Dark Templar was pointed by Judgement Arrows so it goes with Judgement Arrows."
"And with this destruction, AI challenge you's effect weakens. Titan's ATK increases (Titan ATK: 2600 - 2900)
"Don't celebrate Dark Templar's destruction too quickly. you's effect activates since a 2300 ATK monster is destroyed, it bring back Dark Templar and with one more card on the field, Titan's ATK decreases by 100 ATK (Titan's ATK 2900 - 2800)
"But it's more than enough to get rid of Dark Templar. Titan attacks Dark Templar! Triple Thunder Burst!" Titan launches a barrage of bolts at Dark Skirmisher.
"You forgot AIternate Reality's effect. Instead of Dark Templar, Titan is destroyed instead." Reality shines upon activation which begins to glitch Titan.
"Titan can protect itself from being destroyed by card effects by banishing 2 cards in my GY. I banish Dragondark and Dragonmatrix. Again, nothing is said about you taking battle damage!" Titan was glitching out for a moment, but with him banishing his cards, Titan no longer glitches. (Apprentice: 1100 - 600)
"The banished Dragondark and Dragonmatrix's effect activates, Dragonmatrix adds a third copy to hand while Dragondark adds Thunder Dragonduo to hand."
" Reality really helped me out there by allowing me to get the cards I need. I banish the Light Thunder Dragon and the Dark Dragonroar from GY to summon Dragonduo. Then I normal summon Dragonmatrix."
"Since I activated a Thunder Monster's effect from the hand this turn, I tribute Dragonmatrix. Transformation Contact Fusion! Thunder Dragon Colossus!" As Colossus was summoned, Thunder Emperor silhoutte begins to appear.
"It's useless. You should have summoned that monster earlier. That way, I would not be able to summon Dark Templar! But now, Thunder's Restriction won't do any good for you. Give it up. It's impossible to defeat me."
"No.. I won't give up. I swore to defeat you for hurting my friends. I might not be the best duelist. I was defeated by Revolver because of my mistakes. But this time, I've gotten better, stronger than I was before." Thunder Emperor stood against Apprentice. Thunder Emperor will not surrender. He will win this duel. He had gotten close to defeating Apprentice. At this point, Thunder Emperor had gained a purple silhoutte which only became larger.
"If it's impossible to defeat you, then I'll just defy the impossible!" Thunder Emperor declared those words as he does not truly understand or realize what those words exactly mean.
"I overlay Dragonduo and Colossus". As Thunder Emperor crossed his hands together, his silhoutte changes. Instead of a cross-shaped overlay network, a spiral was formed as beams of particles enter through it. His once purple form now gained dark lines around him as he performs an Xyz Summon.
"With these two level 8 monsters, I build the overlay network" Dragonduo and Colosus turned into a beam of particles. Instead of a cross-shaped overlay network, a spiral was formed as beams of particles enter through it. A Thunder Dragon monster that Thunder Emperor pulls from his Extra Deck starts to glitch itself, reforming into a new monster on its own.
Overlay your memories and awaken!
Unknown to him, a portion of his capability were now unlocked to him.
"The sea enrages! The Mechanical Guardian shall fortify gates of the Atlantean pole! Xyz Summon! Rank 8! Aegaion the Sea Castrum (OL: 2)!"
"Aegaion... the Sea Castrum!? That card wasn't supposed to be in his deck. So how?" Apprentice was taken aback. The monster that Thunder Emperor had summoned is not Thunder Dragondarkus. Apprentice looked at Thunder Emperor and noticed that Thunder Emperor has just subconsciously activated his Transmulation Program. But the way he had just used it, how much have he mastered with this program? No one had ever exceeded the limits of the Transmulation Program.
For Thunder Emperor, he felt that he had gained something and felt more powerful. He don't know what caused it. He checks the card he had just summoned and realized that this wasn't the card he intended to summon. He reads his own xyz monster's effect and realizes that he could deal with Dark Skirmisher.
"Aegaion's effect activates! I can banish a card randomly in your Extra Deck and Aegaion's ATK becomes double of the ATK of the banished monster." Aegaion charges it's cannons and then launches.
"You banished the 0 ATK Darkwight atignister. Aegaion's ATK remains at 0." The shot was fired at the spirit of Darkwight. So he missed. He had hoped to banish the 2300 ATK Link Monster Fire Phoenix instead. But Thunder Emperor didn't lose hope. Not yet. He has one more chance at it. At least he banished a Link Monster.
"I end my turn."
"...The way you are right now, neither of you can defeat him even if you were to engage a 3 on 1 duel. Beyond that, everything would be hopeless."
"What are you talking about?" World Traveler had raised the question. No one understood where was Apprentice getting at.
"3 months ago, Playmaker had vanished without a trace, only leaving behind Accesscode Talker in place of Avida, Rebuilder of the Worlds in the ruins of the World Legacy that Apprentice had taken from."
"We know that. But why do you bringing that matter up?"
You are now needed.
Thunder Emperor heard a voice that broke his world. One that he could not decipher. As he looked around, he had found nothing. No one else, not even Apprentice have heard it.
5 years ago, there was a data leak that nearly shook the world into chaos. You were fallen, forgotten by everyone. Even yourself, who is made incomplete. You fell into despair, torn apart and left behind. A voice grew louder, but it became more distorted to hear in Thunder Emperor's ears. Soon, the voice became too distorted to comprehend and would not be heard anymore.
To the others, Apprentice had only spoken only a name. A name of a crazed maniac that everyone has to face or to live in fear in future. And that name is-
Turn 5: Apprentice
"My turn, draw." As Apprentice draws, Thunder Emperor takes his opportunity to try again.
"Aegaion's effect is a quick effect, therefore I can banish another card randomly in your Extra Deck again!" Apprentice was taken aback. Almost of his monsters in his Extra Deck were 2300 ATK monster. The only monster that was not 2300 ATK was The Arrival Cyberse atignister. While that monster could gain a high amount of ATK, it's original ATK is ?, which meant 0 ATK. It is more likely that he would banish a 2300 ATK monster. The cannons fired onto his Extra Deck and the card banished was Wind Pegasus atignister.
"I banished your 2300 ATK Wind Pegasus. Aegaion's ATK becomes 4600 (Aegaion ATK: ? - 4600)"
"Don't forget AI challenge you's effect. Aegaion's ATK will be decreased. (Aegaion ATK: 4600 - 4200)"
"Aegaion's other effect activates, during either player's turn, I detach an Overlay unit (OL: 2 - 1) to return the banished Link Darkwight to your Extra Deck to return the Link Dark Skirmisher to the Extra Deck. Razing Storm!" Aegaion soon adjusted its cannons at and launches against Dark Skirmisher. Dark Skirmisher took the hit as it returns to the Extra deck. (Aegaion ATK: 4200 - 4300)
"Your ace monster has been taken down. It may be indestructible, but since you control Dark Templar, Aegaion can affect Dark Skirmisher even if it's not a Cyberse!"
"...During the Standby phase, I destroy AI.Q since I choose to not pay its cost. Your monsters' ATK increases as a result (Aegaion ATK: 4300 - 4400, Titan: 2900 - 3000). Your comeback was unexpected. But, I will finish this duel at once. I activate Cybserse Scrapping, I banish the Link 2 Dark Sage to draw 2 cards."
"Oh look, an interesting card that I have drawn here. Since Dark Templar atIgnister points to a spell/trap card, I can activate a Link Spell."
"What? Another copy of Judgement Arrows?"
"No, I activate Link Spell Judgement AIrows. But it won't stay for long. Since "Judgement Arrows" is in my GY, it destroys itself to place "Judgement Arrows" to the zone that Judgement was at."
"No, that means you are bring back-"
"That's right, the three arrows that judge everything! Judgement Arrows!"
"Judgement Arrows returns. That means he'll benefit from it's effect again." Thunder Emperor had thought as he embraced himself.
"I summon Donyoribo atIgnister and use it to Link Summon! Link 1! Darkwight atIgnister."
"You made an interesting idea to bypass Dark Skirmisher's protection effects. However, you forgot that by returning Dark Skirmisher to the Extra Deck, I can bring it back."
"Darkwight atignister and Dark Templar are both Dark Cybserse Link Monsters... That means you are" Thunder Emperor had realized that too late.
"And for the final time, appear, the circuit that leads the dark! Summoning Conditions require at least 2 Dark Cyberse Link Monsters. I set the Link 1 Darkwight and Link 3 Dark Templar! Return from the maelstorm to destroy the premeditated fate! Link 4! Dark Skirmisher atIgnister!" Thunder Emperor gritted. He had just gotten rid of Dark Skirmisher earlier. Soon, he holds his head, he begins to hears the words that will soon haunt him.
"I was holding back but yet, you aren't even close to winning yourself"
"Dark Skirmisher's effect activates, I equip Dark Templar to Dark Skirmisher. Inherited Darkness! At the same time since more cards are now on the field, all your monster loses more ATK (Aegaion ATK: 4200 - 4400, Titan: 2900 - 3000)". Dark Skirmisher begins to gain a dark aura as it gains ATK.
"What does all that meant in the end? You are hopeless. You had seen an anticipated this move before but you still fall to it in the end. All in all, You couldn't protect anyone!" Thunder Emperor had heard those words. However, this was not what Apprentice had said.
"In the end, you shall be defeated in the same way as how I defeated your friends." Apprentice had said those words instead.
"Battle! Dark Skirmisher attacks Thunder Dragon Titan! At this point, Dark Skirmisher's effect activates, I send Dark Templar to GY to gain Dark Templar's ATK (Dark Skirmisher ATK: 3000 - 5300). Since Dark Skirmisher was being pointed to by Judgement Arrows, Dark Skirmisher's ATK is doubled (Dark Skirmisher ATK: 5300 - 10600). Dark Destruction!" As Dark Skirmisher's spirit was being absorbed into the latter's sword, a circle behind Dark Skirmisher was formed as Dark Skirmisher extends its wings. Dark Skirmisher raises its sword above before it slashes down towards Titan, destroying it. (Thunder Emperor: 2600 - 0)
Apprentice wins.
As Thunder Emperor falls from his defeat, his silhoutte wears off, reverting his form into his Link Vrains form. As he looks, he hears the words that made him tremble.
"I won't let you off this easily"
"I am going to leave you hear as you watch me kill everyone you care about BECAUSE. OF. YOUR. FAILURE!"
Thunder Emperor was in his own world, hearing the words that was never said.
"... Thunder Emperor ..."
"... Sota ... Get up."
But fortunately for him, World Traveler was around to wake him up from his nightmare. Zephyr was seen next to World Traveler. As Thunder Emperor looks around, he remembers being defeated by Apprentice. He wonders what had happened, but instead.
"You three may have been defeated. But I'm just here just for a demonstration."
"What the hell, are you on about? Attacking us in the middle of nowhere?"
"Like I've said earlier, a demonstration of what you will face in future that you cannot run from. You have forgotten who was your enemy and how they fight. They are those are willingly to go that far beyond terrorism, and even duel unfairly just to get what they want."
"How does that have anything to do with us?"
"Ah right. This is the part what someone else should tell you. Speaking of which, you should show yourself right now. I am not explaining this situation to them. My job is to round them up and duel them. Now, it's your turn to do your part." Apprentice turned to look at nothing. Soon, a hole opens as a figure in white enters from the hole.
"Yes, my apologies for giving you such a troublesome task. Thank you for following it up Apprentice. You may now leave." Apprentice logs out from the server.
"And who are you?"
"Me? Well, I suppose you deserve to know some information. I am Archer, and I have a proposition for you. In exchange for protection, I want the three of you to become my Apprentices."

- If a monster you control is about to be destroyed by an opponent's card, you can destroy the destroying card instead. If this card destroys your opponent's monster, you must send 1 monster you control to the GY.
- If you control Ignister Ailand or Ignister Darkland on the field while the other is in the GY, for the rest of the turn, the card you control can use the effect of the card in the GY but you cannot use the effect of the card you control.

During your opponent's Main Phase, you can (Quick Effect): Immediately after this effect resolves, Link Summon 1 Link Monster using materials you control, including this card. You can only use this effect of "I:P Masquerena" once per turn. A Link Monster that used this card as material cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects.
A/N: I really should stop making my OCs lose duels as they are the main characters of this story. But I don't want them to be overpowered either. They are just normal people who clearly had no experience in such things like the Ignis War which clearly their opponents do. Despite their losing streak, I must say that they are doing pretty well because they are able to hold their own against someone like Soulburner (for Zephyr) or Revolver (for Thunder Emperor) or Blue Maiden (for World Traveler). Also, anyone who has wrote duels for atIgnister deck can tell you that this site really doesn't like too special characters. It also messed up some of the AI support cards naming that I had to rename it slightly to fit.
You guys would have expected Thunder Emperor to use a Thunder Dragon Xyz monster in this duel when he overlaid his monsters but ended up disappointed with Aegaion. Part of the reason is that I've planned for Thunder Emperor to use custom cards to a minimum. Though if you read carefully, Thunder Emperor had a Thunder Dragon Xyz monster which turned into Aegaion. For now, let's say that this is the result of his Transmulation Program and potential.
About the Transmulation Program, you should reread chapter 10. While I didn't edit anything in that chapter, the Transmulation Program is only designed to protect the user's identity by hiding it. But Thunder Emperor's use of the Transmulation Program has gained the ability to do basic alterations, like changing a card mid-duel. However, that isn't what the program is designed for.
Last thing, if you are a OCG/TCG/Master Duel player, you should have an idea what are those cards going to be. But keep in mind that they are NOT the same cards as their OCG/TCG counterparts. If you haven't figured out, the clue I am giving you is that they are all Link 2 Link Monster cards.
