A/N: Here is Chapter 23 and the beginning of the Aurorus Arc!
It has been about a week since the destruction of Dracozolt. For Ferro Fett's crew, they were sitting together as they were looking at each other, trying to figure out what Ferro Fett had planned for them next. Cremelia was sitting down as she was reading a book, trying to figure out another plot, looking at Maracturne, who was sitting on the bridge. There was nothing of the ordinary happening as he turned around to look at the region. Only to see that Twinleaf Town and Sandgem Town were just finished repairing the major damage that was done. As he turned around, the doors opened as Ferro Fett arrived.
"Boss!" said Maracturne, he then froze as he looked at the person behind him. Cremelia turned around as she stood in awe. Shockhound and Turnchou were also surprised as they were looking at the new villain that stood next to him. He was now a humanoid Bisharp with a crystalized black head with red and yellow eyes. He was armed with a black and silver saber that could releasee fire and ice attacks.
"Who is he?" asked Cremelia.
A flash of red energy surrounded him as he transformed, revealing Lionel. Lionel's eyes were bright red as he looked at Ferro Fett. Shockhound stood in surprise, "How were you able to do that?"
"Simple. Gircannon gave me a serum that I was able to use…," said Lionel, "He sent someone to steal it from Team Galactic scientist. And now I have power through my veins. I may not even need to use the Death Ranger powers anymore."
"Well," said Ferro Fett, turning around to Lionel, "I hope that you can be a great commander to help defeat those wretched rangers and get their eight crystals."
Lionel grinned as he turned around, "Of course!"
"Well… there might be nine now," said Turnchou.
Ferro Fett turned around as he looked at Turnchou with speculation. Turnchou pointed to a red blip on the map. Ferro Fett looked up as he saw it. The Sinnoh Region had a red light in one of the areas. It was obvious, seeing they haven't heard it a while. The ninth energy crystal was active.

Chapter 23: Deep Down Under
Sunyshore City, the gateway that leads potential challengers to the Pokémon League, was illuminated by the bright beautiful sun on a nice fall day. The winds were calm and the seas were still. For one person, she was just on her way… to work. Yes, this is not an exaggeration. A scientist was walking along the Sunyshore Coast, heading toward a rock formation. As she headed toward it, she noticed a silver lock. Using her golden key, she turned the key over as the door opened. Walking in, she turned around as the door closed. It was pitch black. Red lines appeared on her eyes as she was looking straight ahead.
"Josephine Holiday, Identity Confirmed."
The lights turned on as there were stairs. Walking down the silver stairs, she the blue lights surrounded the metal caves as she walked toward the room. As the door opened, she noticed a blue glass that appeared in front of her. She was surrounded by her own oceanic base. She sighed as she looked up. Grabbing her purple briefcase, she opened it on the table, noticing a few Sail Fossils. She sighed as she saw nothing going on.
"Nothing after all the trip… and I was supposed to be helpful," she said, slamming her fist on the table, "Dexter, can you please scan these Fossils, see if they even match the Aurorus?"
There was a silver lab like device that appeared next to her office that had a scanner. As she placed the five fossils in a silver, she sat as a purple aura scanned each fossil. She hoped the Energy Crystal was at least in one of the fossils. Dexter, her computer automated system, started running numbers as she went to open her laptop. The lights came on, revealing herself as she sat in the lab. She was dark skinned, with dark black hair braided down to past her shoulders and brown eyes. She wore a sleeveless dark purple shirt, short purple shorts, and low-heeled black boots. She also had a white lab coat over her shirt.
"No Energy Crystal detected…," said Dexter.
"Great. So like I said, going to Kalos was for nothing," said Kalos.
"Don't worry, Jo. I'm sure you will find it. After all, you are a genius!" said Dexter.
Jo turned around as she looked at the computer voice, "I hope you're right."
As she went to speak, there was a red aura that surrounded her laptop. Dexter began to speak on the intercom, "Jo, it looks like we might have answers to your Aurorus problem."
"What do you mean?" Jo asked, looking at her laptop. Immediately, her laptop began to switch screens. The best part about her lab was Dexter was able to access the laptop without her using it. As she looked she noticed there was a red aura surrounding the area. She couldn't believe her eyes as she saw what looked like a violet dot.
"It looks like you're right," said Jo, "I think it's time for an exhibition!"
Meanwhile…
The rangers were surprised as they were sitting in the Oreburgh Museum. After getting the Oreburgh Museum up and running, Roark decided to unleash a new exhibit. The exhibit was called "The Everlasting Aurorus." The rangers were surprised about this as there were tons of visitors who wanted to know more. In a way, it helped increase business. Mack was looking at the photo as he examined them, "This is so cool. Look at the face of it. It's so beautiful."
"Yeah," said Joe, "Interesting how Aurorus is also supposed to be one of us."
"I wonder… would it be violet or silver?" asked Mack, pointing to him.
"Oh, Violet… without a doubt," said Joe, "I think."
"I thought it was Violet," said Mack, turning to Joe, "That's a Drake question."
Joe nodded as he turned around, heading toward the manager's office. As Joe went inside, he went to sit down as he went to look at the schedule. Everybody was on shift and there were no call-outs, which was what he expected. As he went to open his books to go through today's to-do list, he heard a buzz coming from his Dino Com. Joe sighed as he looked at the chair, "No Ferro Fett, please. We have an exhibit!"
As he pressed a button, Roark appeared on the screen, "Hey, Joe. I'm going to come over to take over the manager stuff. Drake has asked you to go to Sunyshore City."
"Why?" asked Joe, "Vacation?"
"I wish…. The Violet Fossil Gem that contains Aurorus is somewhere over there. He wants it found before you know who," said Roark, looking at him as he was leaving the gym. Joe nodded as he got up from the chair, "Understood, Roark."
As he opened the door, he turned as he saw Mack, explaining more to customers. As the customers left, Joe tapped Mack on the shoulder, "Ranger business."
Mack rolled his eyes, "Just when I was getting used to studying Pokémon!"
Joe and Mack headed toward one of the hallways while the other workers were assisting visitors. As they walked to the thinner hallway, they turned right, heading toward a steel door. Pressing a few buttons, Joe opened the door as Mack followed. Closing and locking the door, Joe noticed the bronze platform with the Dino Charge logo. Placing the Fossil Blaster toward it, a black beam shot the platform. Black and gold energy surrounded them as they appeared in Dino Paradise.
Joe and Mack walked down the steps, seeing the other six rangers who were waiting for him. Leona turned around as she looked at Joe, "Are you ready?"
"Do we have a choice?" asked Joe, jokingly. Leona smacked him on the back of the head. The rangers were walking up the stairs as the others followed. The rangers aimed their Fossil Blasters at the location. Pulling the trigger, the rangers began to glow as they disappeared.
Meanwhile…
Ferro Fett and Lionel laughed as they were looking at each other. The villains were also surprised as they were trying to figure out what was going on.
"That fossil needs to be found… Gircannon's orders," said Ferro Fett.
"And how do we plan on finding it?" asked Maracturne, looking at Lionel. Lionel turned around as he looked at Maracturne. Lionel grinned as he snapped his fingers. He withdrew a ruby that he had. Striking it in the air, his eyes began to glow as red glow surrounded it. The villains watched as pink, blue and yellow auras surrounded Shockhound, Cremelia and Turnchou. Immediately, three monsters appeared behind them. Shockhound stood in horror with Cremelia's surprised look, Turnchou was also surprised as well.
The first creature was a humanoid Beartic with Abomasnow claws. He also had a Suicune like head as he looked at them. The second creature was a Koffing creature with a green and black humanoid body. He had a grey top hat and a green moustache that extended and curled. He also wore brown and black shoes as he had a cane in hand. The third creature was entirely Metagross. He had Magmar-like flames around his fists and legs. His eyes were bright green. In his chest plate, was a red and black swirl.
"Commander Icewolf!"
"Commander Sinitis!"
"Commander Metagar!"
"It's nice to see you!" Shockhound shouted, looking at Icewolf. Icewolf shook his head as he looked at them, "It's nice to be alive again."
"I missed you Cremelia!" Sinitis said, looking at her, "How have you been?"
Cremelia grinned as she looked at him, "I'm glad that you're alive!"
Turnchou nodded slowly as Metagar grinned. Metagar crossed his arms as he looked at Turnchou, "I want revenge."
Turnchou grinned as he stretched his hand, looking at the door, "Oh believe me, you will get your revenge."
"Gircannon has an order," said Lionel, looking at the three creatures, "You are to go to Sunyshore City and find the fossil. Destroy anybody that gets in your way. The rangers don't need a ninth fossil."
"NINE?" asked Icewolf, looking at the two other creatures. Sinitis and Metagar knew that they were also involved in trying to find the other fossils in the past, so they weren't surprised. But, they knew the job had to be done. The three of them headed toward the bridge exit, going to complete their mission.
Sunyshore City…
North of the city, flashes of energy appeared as the rangers appeared. Examining the area, Leona was amazed at what she saw. Sunyshore City had plenty of buildings that had solar paneling all over the roads and even on the homes. There was also a beautiful lighthouse that looked out into the western part of the region. As the trainers turned around, they looked over as they were walking toward the coastline. Grayson, who grabbed the Fossil Tracer from Dino Paradise, pressed a few buttons. The connection was continuing as he looked over, turning to Leona and the others, "It looks like it is more on the coastline."
"Cool," said Atticus, looking at the area, "It looks just like yesterday."
"Oh yeah, this is where you found Carracosta," said Joe, turning around as he walked toward the area. Atticus nodded, "The fact Aurorus and Carracosta are in the same location makes me wonder why they never were activated at the same time."
"Good question," said Leona, turning around as she looked at him, "But, Aurorus is an Ice-Type if I'm not mistaken. Why is it here and not in a snowy place like Snowpoint City?"
"Yeah, I was thinking more of the Snowpoint Temple or even up by Lake Acuity," said Kyland, turning around to see Thomas. Thomas also agreed, "The fact that even a fossil showed up here still raises questions."
"True," said Lisa, stopping her pace. Thomas turned around as he stopped walking. He walked toward her as Lisa shook her head. Thomas looked to see where Lisa was staring at. Mooks were wandering around, creating a hot mess, combing the coastlands. It looked like they were already on it.
"That is going to be fun," said Joe, looking at them, turning to Thomas as he arrived. Atticus shook his head, "I think it's time to crash the party."
As the rangers started dashing toward the Mooks, the Mooks turned around in shock as they went to face the rangers. Each ranger had to fight their own Mooks throughout the coastline. Leona kicked three of them in the face and then punched another creature in the stomach. She turned around as she kicked a few of them in the face. As one of the Mooks flew, a blast of energy shot the creature. Joe turned around as he was shooting a few of them down with his Fossil Blaster. He turned around as he jumped up, kicking two of them in the face. Atticus lifted a Mook from the ground and threw it into a pile of Mooks. He turned around as he tackled one, knocking one out. He punched two of them in the stomach. As the Mooks fell, Atticus turned around as he went to grab the one that was heading toward Grayson. Grayson turned around as he slashed the Mook across its chest. The Mook landed on the ground as Grayson nodded slowly. Grayson slashed a few of the Mooks across as he landed on the sand. As he slashed three more, he grabbed his Fossil Blaster and threw it to Lisa. Lisa caught it as she performed a shoulder roll, pulling the trigger. The Mooks in the area were pierced as she held on to the trigger, spinning around, destroying the Mooks within an instant.
Kyland pulled the trigger, shooting down the area of Mooks. As more were coming down, Thomas turned around as he opened his eyes. A blue aura surrounded him as he stretched out his hand. Using Aura Power, Thomas held the creatures as they were struggling to move. He turned to Mack and Kyland, who used their weapons. Mack struck with his Golden Amber Saber, slashing them. Kyland used the Fossil Blaster and shot the rest. As the piles of Mooks fell, explosions appeared as the rangers landed on the ground. Turning around, the rangers froze as the smoke cleared. Icewolf, Sinitus and Metagar arrived, laughing as they appeared.
"Icewolf!" Leona shouted.
"Sinitis?" asked Lisa and Kyland.
"Metagar," Thomas muttered.
"It's so nice to hear you!" shouted Icewolf, looking at Sinitis. Sinitis stretched his moustache a little as he looked at them, "It's time for payback."
"Payback? How about just sweet revenge!" shouted Metagar.
He turned around as they walked toward them. As he went to stretch his hands, a red and black aura surrounded his hands as the rangers went to activate their Fossil Chargers. While he was charging, beams of energy pierced as the three of them landed on the ground. Metagar was stuck as he released the energy blast. The three villains landed on the ground. Joe turned around as he looked up. He was surprised as he noticed a scientist walking toward them. She turned around as she looked at the villains, "You are going to pay for interfering!"
Joe turned around noticing the Fossil Blaster, almost exactly like the others. Joe scratched his chin as he turned to the others. Leona looked at her, "She found it?"
"Good question," said Joe.
Immediately, the scientist began her fight. Metagar laughed as he released a beam of energy. The scientist screamed as the beam was heading toward her. Quickly, Joe jumped up as he grabbed his Fossil Saber, slicing it down.
"Thanks?" she asked.
"No problem. This is a little bit out of your league. We'll handle it," Joe replied, looking at the scientist. The scientist patted him on the back, "Thanks, but I can handle myself."
As Joe said nothing, the scientist turned around as she revealed a Fossil Charger. It was a purple energy charger as she placed it in the Fossil Blaster. Spinning it, she aimed for the three. Icewolf and Sinitis went to strike, only for the scientist to pull the trigger. A black and purple energy ball struck. The three of them yelled as explosions surrounded them. Joe turned around as the scientist looked at them, "Come with me, now!"
Within seconds, the rangers dashed away, letting the three villains cringe with injury. The rangers were running as far as they could, at least away from them at a distance. Arriving on the northern part of the coast, the scientist pointed to the direction with her Fossil Blaster. As the scientist lead the way, she took a deep breath as she placed her Fossil Blaster down. She looked at them as she turned to the group, "Well, that was insane. I don't know how you do it."
"I don't know how you do it?" asked Atticus, looking at her, "I'm guessing you're one of us, then?"
"I wish," she said, "I'm guessing you're looking for the Sail Fossil?"
Leona nodded her head in response as she sat on the boulder, looking at the scientist, "Yeah, we've been looking for it for a good thirty minutes before all of that happened."
The scientist sighed, "I've been looking for months."
"Months?" asked Thomas, raising an eyebrow. He turned around as he went to see her. As the scientist turned around, Thomas placed his hand on her head. The scientist turned around as she went to fight it, "I know what you're doing, Thomas. I refuse to connect my aura."
"Wait," said Thomas, looking up, "Huh?"
"Prince Thomas IV of the Lucario Kingdom, who vows to rebuild his kingdom after what happened in the past. Granted it was a great kingdom, you swore to rebuild it, which is why you wanted to bond with Rampardos."
"How… how did you know?" Thomas asked in surprise, looking at Kyland. Kyland gulped as the scientist turned around, "Kyland Navarro, Dino Charge Aqua. I can't believe Omastar chose someone like to you be a part of this, but I guess a welcome is for someone who thinks so highly of himself."
Kyland crossed his arms as he put his right foot forward, "Who do you think you are?"
She turned around as she looked at Mack, who was shaking his head, "Mackenzie… also known as the long-lost warrior of the Dinosaur Kingdom who failed to protect the Princess but was able to reunite and defeat Shockhound to break free. The gold ranger suits you well. I hope the transition from where you were to now has been helpful."
"I hope so too," said Mack, raising an eyebrow, "My dear, there's a lot you don't know about me."
"Oh believe me, I know that. I just know from what I see in my computer… and the five of you. The core team… I honestly didn't think the five of you would get along."
"Get along?" asked Joe.
"Lisa Morgan," she said, "I'm so glad that you get to help find the crystals. You are studying to be a nurse, right?"
Lisa nodded as she turned to her, "Yeah."
"Well, I hope with our scientific minds, we can work together!" she said, turning around as she spoke with Grayson. Grayson sighed as the scientist grinned, "As for you, Grayson Himura, one of the Meganium Clan warriors of Johto, it is a pleasure to see you in Sinnoh."
Grayson silently nodded as the scientist moved on to Atticus. Atticus gulped as he looked at her, "Atticus Coho… I see that coming home to save your region was a good choice! I like how you put family first. Carracosta chose someone wise and that was cool."
Moving on to Joe, the scientist shook her head, "Ladies' man Joseph Cartwright."
"What?" asked Joe.
"You've been hitting on me since you saw me, don't lie. I sense your hormones, moron," said the scientist, "As the Black Ranger, you are pretty much the cowboy of the group. Shoot first, ask questions later?"
"And your point is?" Joe asked, raising his blaster to the back of his head. The scientist grabbed him by the shirt, "Flattery will get you nowhere, even if you met the Hoenn Rangers and had a little bit of experience."
He said nothing as he looked down at the beach. The scientist turned around as she looked at Leona, who was nervous. The scientist shook her head as she grinned, "It's so nice to see royalty here. Princess Leona Sinclair, isn't it? Leader of the Dino Charge Rangers."
Leona nodded slowly, "Yeah… I'm curious about how you know everyone, though?"
The scientist grinned as she stepped on the rock. She put her hands on her hips as she grinned, "I'm Professor Josephine Holiday. I am a Pokémon Researcher on Ancient History and Mysteries of the Unknown with Pokémon. Specifically with Pokémon Fossils as well! I also am a huge fan of working with technology beyond imagination. You can call me Jo."
Joe turned around as he looked at Grayson, who was laughing, "Joe and Jo… haha."
Joe punched him in the gut. Grayson gulped as Joe looked at his face, "Zip it, you greenhorn."
"Wait, I did hear about you," said Leona, looking at the beach. She then turned around as she looked at Jo, "Weren't you originally Professor Rowan's assistant in finding the crystals?'
"Bingo!" Jo exclaimed, "Yeah, I wanted to know so much about the crystals and help Rowan solve the mystery of the ten crystals, I couldn't just not let him go! It would be a good research paper on how Sinnoh's history is based on origins of time and space!"
"And antimatter?" asked Lisa, raising her finger.
"Oh yeah, that too," said Jo, grinning as she turned to the rangers. Thomas turned to her as he noticed the Fossil Blasters, "So… I guess we have some questions."
"Well, I can answer them," said Jo, looking at Thomas, "But, this place is a little much… and who knows if those monsters will come back. My lab isn't far from here."
Josephine's Base…
As the rangers were walking down the stairs, the rangers were amazed by what they saw. They headed into the main room, surprised at what they saw. Kyland and Thomas were looking to see maps of Aurorus, painted on the wall. Grayson turned around, noticing weapons that were created like what they own. He couldn't believe it as he was looking at the weaponry. He picked it up as he turned to Josephine.
"So… how were you able to make these?" asked Grayson.
"I can answer that, Grayson,"
Grayson turned around as he heard someone walk toward him. Walking down the stairs, the rangers were surprised to see Drake heading over toward him. Drake grinned as he looked at Josephine, "Jo, you did a great job with your work so far."
"Thanks," said Jo.
"How do you know each other?" asked Leona, confused, "You do know Drake threw me here twenty years ago as a baby. You basically are a teenager!"
"Simple, I found Drake," said Jo, "So, about a year ago, I was heading home from the Hoenn Region to collect sample soils of zords. Professor Rowan and I were trying to find ways we can help the Hoenn Region in case there was an issue, which was why we were looking for the Energy Crystals. I was always curious about the Poké Rangers and wanted to create new weapons in case Sinnoh was attacked. Well, luckily for me, I was heading to Sunyshore when I found Drake on the beach."
"After what happened with Ferro Fett and sending you to a different time," said Drake, looking at Leona, turning to the other rangers, "I felt very weak and I accidentally teleported into this era. I couldn't contain my power anymore. I thought I was done for… and then Jo brought me in and somewhat nursed me back."
"He told me about your story," said Jo, looking at the rangers, "How the fossils were fused with the Energy Crystals he swore to keep. I told him that if he was able to find them, I would be more than happy to create weapons that could harness them. Well, the Fossil Chargers, the Zord Combination Maps, and Fossil Weapons were made by me."
Jo turned around as she also turned to a photo. Jo was sitting in her lab coat, next to a familiar face. He had blondish hair and blue eyes with a blue t-shirt and white shorts. He had black shoes and he also had a tattoo on his right shouder. Joe looked at him closely, noticing a silver buckler with a Mudkip coin in the center. Immediately, it clicked.
"You went to the experts it looks like," said Joe.
"Oh yes, Joe. Seeing that you've been in Hoenn. You must've known about the Mighty Morphin' Poké Rangers."
Atticus turned around as he looked at the others, "Mighty Morphin' Poké Rangers?"
"Yeah, Sean and four others were summoned by Rayquaza to defeat the queen of evil who wanted to destroy Hoenn after her son was killed by a wild Pokémon. She was sealed in the Cave of Origin 10,000 years ago and then was suddenly released almost 18 years ago. Her remains, or at least we think she's dead is currently sealed in the Granite Cave, north of Dewford," Joe explained, turning to the others, "Sean was the tech of the group, helping them out from using Pokémon, to evolution power and even was able to use Ninja Power to get out of these traps."
"Ninja Power?" asked Grayson, looking at Joe, "Now, they intrigue me even more to go see them."
"Well, Sean Fubrizzi taught me well on how to create these weapons for you!" Jo replied, grinning, "He knew something like this would happen, so he helped me figure it out."
"So, that's how we got new weaponry," said Kyland, looking at the Fossil Chargers, "And you're making more?"
"With Gircannon and Ferro Fett working together, I realized we are going to need more Fossil Chargers. But, right now I am just trying to create the charger capsules for Aurorus. I was hoping it would be done before the Fossil sighting, but now time is of the essence," Jo replied.
As she went to sit down, the red light filled the area as the sound emerged. It was the panic alarm. Jo turned around as she pressed a few buttons. Dexter went to speak as the rangers stood there in surprise. Leona stood in shock, seeing Icewolf walking down the area. Kyland and Lisa stood there to see Sinitis, grinning. Mack and Thomas turned around, seeing Metagar walking toward the city.
"It looks like we have some visitors," Dexter said.
"And sadly, they've been all defeated," said Leona, "One easy, one medium and one hard."
Thomas turned around as he looked at Kyland. Kyland nodded as he turned to the others, "We are going to help continue the search. I think we can work faster if we all split the jobs."
Leona nodded slowly as she patted Kyland on the shoulder, "Good. Alright, everybody else. Let's roll!"
Sunyshore City…
Icewolf released an ice attack, shooting down buildings. Laughing, he looked up as Sinitis was releasing his spores, filling the air with toxic gas. Everyone started screaming as they were engulfed. Metagar arrived as he charged his whole body. A black and red energy beam pierced the sky, hit the clouds, and then released a meteor shower. Sunyshore City started exploding everywhere. As the three were laughing, they turned around as they saw Leona and the others heading toward them.
"That's enough, you three," said Leona, "It's time we send you three back to the graveyard!"
"Try us, Princess," said Metagar, laughing as he was looking at the eight rangers. Leona nodded as she stepped forward, "Rangers, Let's Poké Battle!"
"Fossil Chargers, Energize!"
The rangers did their dance as they spun around, placing the Fossil Chargers in their blasters.
Tyrantrum, Energize!
Armaldo, Energize!
Carracosta, Energize!
Kabutops, Energize!
Bastidon, Energize!
Aerodactyl, Energize!
Omastar, Energize!
Rampardos, Energize!
Spinning the blaster, the rangers stretched out their Fossil Blasters, "Unleash the Power!"
Pulling the trigger, eight beams of light swirled around as their suits appeared. Leona stood forward as she went to speak, "Here we go!"
"Tyrantrum! Dino Charge Red!"
"Armaldo! Dino Charge Black!"
"Carracosta! Dino Charge Blue!"
"Kabutops! Dino Charge Green!"
"Bastiodon! Dino Charge Pink!"
"Aerodactyl! Dino Charge Gold!"
"Omastar! Dino Charge Aqua!"
"Rampardos! Dino Charge Grey!"
"Poké Rangers Dino Charge!" they shouted, doing a pose with explosions surrounding them. Leona turned around as she stretched out her hands, "It's about to get wild!"
The rangers went to withdraw their weapons. Laughing, Metagar turned around as he released a golden beam from his mouth. The rangers yelled as the beams were getting closer, only for their Fossil Blasters and morpher to freeze. Leona watched as her Fossil Blaster was a fossil, just like the others. Mack's morpher was also fossilized with as he had his saber, all in the same condition.
"Did I forget to mention that I modified myself?" asked Metagar, laughing, "We expected this!"
Dropping their weapons, the rangers charged forward to strike. As the rangers went to do hand to hand combat, Metagar jumped forward as he went to strike. Red and black beams were struck as Thomas and Kyland dodged the attack. As Thomas struck his hand, a blue aura appeared as Metagar struggled. Kyland jumped up as he went to grab his neck, throwing him down. Metagar laughed as explosions appeared, pushing Kyland back to the ground. Thomas turned around as he went to throw a punch, only for Metagar to release a beam of energy, piercing Thomas's armor. Thomas yelled as he cringed, landing on the ground. A grey aura surrounded him as his uniform disappeared. He then struck Kyland across. Kyland yelled as an aqua aura surrounded him, knocking him down.
"That's revenge, your highness," said Thomas.
Mack, Lisa and Grayson were facing Sinitis. As Mack went to throw a punch, Sinitis laughed as he released purple sludge. Mack was covered in it. Examining his suit, the acid started eating his armor. As Grayson withdrew his Fossil Saber, he went to strike Sinitis. Sinitis laughed as he jumped up at a faster speed. He turned around, releasing a black sludge, piercing the Fossil Saber. As the Fossil Saber was covered, Leona and Grayson were attacked by his claw. The three rangers landed on the ground as Sinitis released a purple blob. The blob landed on them as explosions appeared. Green, pink and gold energy surrounded them as they landed on the ground. Wincing in pain, the rangers were crawling as they were trying to get up. Laughing, they knew that it was going to be a tough battle.
Joe and Atticus were thrown down by Icewolf as he spun his staff, striking them. Atticus and Joe went to use their Fossil Sabers. Striking him, Icewolf hopped over as he kicked the two rangers. He then turned around as he saw Leona, who went to stretch out her saber. As the rangers went to use their Fossil Chargers, they pressed them and placed them in the Fossil Sabers. Red, black and blue aura surrounded their sabers as they raised them.
"Tri-Fossil Slash!"
As the three lines of energy combined as one, Icewolf laughed as he used his staff. An ice beam enlarged from it as it broke the lines of energy. The energy blasts pierced their suits as red, black and blue energy appeared. The three rangers landed on the ground. Everyone met together as the rangers were stumbling with the three creatures walking toward them.
"Let's face it rangers, you never know when to quit," said Metagar, walking toward him.
"Options?" asked Leona, looking at the others.
Thomas shook his head as he looked at them. He then turned around as Metagar began to stretch out his hands. A black and red aura surrounded his hands, forming a sphere. Metagar began to use his full power. Immediately, Icewolf and Sinitis held on to his shoulder, channeling his energy. Thomas turned around as he began to examine the energy beam. He nodded as he turned around, "That energy beam is nothing more than an high explosive blast."
"Great," said Joe, waving his fossilized blaster, "So, how do we stop them?"
Suddenly, the earth began to shake a little. The rangers were stumbling as they were on the ground. The three monsters turned to each other as they were looking at something mega-sized. Leona turned around as a violet aura surrounded them in the ocean. A violet version of Aurorus started marching toward the group.
"How?" asked Joe.
"Hey guys!"
Joe turned around as he looked into the Dino Com. Jo was obviously behind it, piloting it, "I thought you couldn't find the fossil!"
"I still don't have it, but Drake told me Aurorus arrived here! Aurorus must've risen because you were in danger," said Jo, "We can't unlock its full power yet because that fossil is still missing."
"That means we aren't far from the Sail Fossil at all," said Lisa, turning around to see Metagar, "But, if you have an idea, now's the time!"
Immediately, as the red and black energy blast headed straight for the rangers. Aurorus roared as an ice beam formed, creating an icicle ball. As the ball formed, the energy ball landed on the ground. Next, Jo took out a white charger and placed it in her Fossil Blaster, "Recover!"
Aurorus opened its mouth, releasing a green energy beam. Their weapons began to recover from the erosion and damage from the attack. The rangers turned around as the villains stood in shock. Leona grinned as she turned around as she looked at them, "I got this… Cinderace!"
Cinderace was released from his Poké Ball, smiling in a response, "Cinder!"
"Pyro Ball… push that iceball toward the group!"
Cinderace took a pebble and placed it in his hand. Throwing it in the air, he kicked it as a ball of flames hit the ice ball. The ice ball rolled as it headed toward Icewolf, Metagar and Sinitis.
"You think this is going to work?" asked Metagar.
"You might want to look…," said Leona, grinning, "The harsh sun rays of Sunyshore plus Cinderace's Pyro Ball made a huge difference.
Metagar looked up noticing the water dripping. As he turned around, he noticed the ice ball began to melt, revealing his black and red energy blast. Before the three villains could escape, the three villains exploded into pieces. Cinderace jumped up, giving a high five to Leona. Leona grinned as she turned to the others, "That's how we do it!"
As the rangers turned around, surprised at what was going on, Jo grinned as she hopped out of the zord. Leona turned around as she was looking at it, "That was great!"
"If we can only get the Energy Crystal and get someone to bond with it. Aurorus will be a piece of cake to use!" she said.
"Good point," said Leona.
Suddenly, Leona turned around as a red aura surrounded her. She screamed as black vines surrounded her. Landing on the ground, Leona fell. Cinderace turned around as he went to strike. Suddenly, Cinderace screamed as a red aura surrounded him, returning him to the Poké Ball. The rangers turned around as they notice a green beam surrounding Aurorus. Aurorus screamed, as a purple aura surrounded it, disappearing in response. Leona turned around as she noticed someone walking toward her.
"Lionel…," she said, closing her eyes.
The other rangers looked forward as Lionel arrived. He grinned as he looked at them, "Hi, rangers!"
"Oh look," said Joe, aiming his Fossil Blaster, "Another moron."
Lionel released his saber, relinquishing an ice attack. Immediately, Joe yelled as his hands were frozen stiff. As he landed on the ground, Jo turned to Lionel as she went toward Joe. Lionel laughed as he looked at her, "I want to thank you for bringing Aurorus out… granted usually they get unfossilized when bonded with someone. It's only a matter of time until we can find it."
"You will never find it," said Jo, looking at him, "I know that for a fact."
"Is that so…," said Lionel, grabbing Leona, "Well, I am sure we can talk about this later. See you later, rangers!"
Stabbing his saber into the sand, a red aura surrounded him as he and Leona disappeared. The rangers looked at each other as Jo fell to her knees. She clenched her fists and threw them on the sand, "Impossible!"
Back at Jo's Laboratory…
The rangers walked down to the laboratory as Jo was fretting a little. Thomas and Kyland walked over as Jo went to sit down, "This is very bad. I never expected this for real."
"Well, when you deal with Leona's brother, anything happens… he destroyed basically all of Eastern Sinnoh except Canalave City," said Joe, raising his finger, "Trust me when I say, Lionel's bad news."
"And obviously he will use his own sister as bait," said Atticus, turning around, "Is there a way we can save her?'
Grayson raised an eyebrow, "Do you have ideas?"
"Not yet," said Atticus, crossing his arms and sitting down. He looked at Grayson as he turned to Mack and Lisa, "I just hope we can handle it."
"We also need to rescue the Aurorus Zord. It can't survive without the Sail Fossil and its Energy Crystal," said Lisa, looking at them, "After all, it was only supposed to help us temporarily."
Atticus nodded slowly as he turned to Thomas. Thomas's eyes lit up as he looked at the screen. He was very surprised at what he saw. Images appeared on Jo's screen as the rangers appeared. Lionel laughed as he was in his altered form, he looked at them as he had Leona tied up. Shockhound had his saber on her neck. Atticus went over, only for Grayson to stop him. Lisa looked up as Mack turned to her, "What the hell, Lionel?"
"Simple… I know what you are after," he said.
"You will not get Aurorus's power," said Jo, looking at Lionel, "You know well about these Energy Crystals and I hope to find Aurorus's crystal before you do."
"I also know without them, Ferro Fett can't control anything. So, here's my ultimatum. Give me your Energy Crystals or I kill your leader…," said Lionel.
The rangers froze in silence for a few seconds. Lionel grinned as he laughed a little. Lionel laughed so hard, Leona squirmed with Shockhound laughing in the background. Mack turned to Atticus, who stood there quietly, glancing at Grayson who was turning to Kyland and Thomas, who were also the same way. Lisa shook her head, turning to Mack, who punched his fist with the other. Jo stood there silently, seeing the unbelievable.

Gircannon has had enough and decides to use his true power. Reviving past beasts, he wants to use them and his power to steal Aurorus from the rangers to add to his super power. The rangers decide it was time to stop Gircannon's plot before Sinnoh blows apart.
Poké Rangers Dino Charge Chapter 24: Gircannon's Assault
A/N: So yeah, it gets a little nutty here. We have Gircannon and Ferro Fett who are dying to have this new power. The question of how and if they get it will have to be answered next chapter. A lot of twists and turns will happen, so buckle up! Originally, there was supposed to be a zord battle… but I realized that it was best to just set the scene for now. I didn't want to spoil a lot of information. But, Lionel and Gircannon have something up their sleeve. Who knows what they have in store for you.
Now, I did tie it into Mighty Morphin' Poké Rangers, granted I am still working on editing it and making the chapters longer or making them better (I only did like 4 chapters of Season 1 1, like Chapter 31-34 something like that, so you can look at those) and smoother because let's face it, after years of writing, I learned the smoother, the better and not so choppy as I read my original drafts lol
This was originally supposed to air around Halloween time, but things happen. So, I am three weeks behind! But, now that I have less gigs in December, I can do some writing to catch up. I will hopefully be on target to finish the season by February, possibly March. Next week is the halfway point!
