Morning Struck
Colossus lay on top of her Island home, her hands under the back of her head, legs crossed, and a lit cigarette between her teeth. She usually didn't wake up so early, preferring to sleep past noon, but this time everything about the Island was on her mind. When a red sunbeam hit her across the eyes, she squeezed them shut and grunted as she slowly sat up, rubbing her tired eyes.
Turning to look at the ocean bathed in the orange glow of the early sun, she couldn't help but think it was a beautiful sight, even though she hated the shining sun.
"I've never been an early riser before," she grumbled as she stretched her arms above her head. "But somehow I know I'm going to be doing this while I'm here."
Colossus pulled her forked tongue out from underneath the cigarette, wrapped it around the butt, pulled it into her mouth, chewed it, and swallowed. "Let's see if I can find some breakfast for the group," she said as she got off the roof of the small house and flew towards the woods.
It had been a while since anyone had slept in, so they took advantage of the opportunity and slept in late. As usual, Mabel was the first to wake up, fully dressed and brushing her hair with an old, crazy, square-shaped comb that she had found in the bathroom left behind by the previous occupant.
"Good morning, sweet face!" Colossus greeted her, crouched down by the fire and cooking breakfast in a frying pan. Mabel was surprised to see her friend cooking, as she didn't know Colossus could cook or thought she was the type to cook meals for anyone.
Colossus stood up with the frying pan in her hands and walked over to an already set table with four plates, putting one cooked egg in each. "Can you get your brother and Timmy?" She asked as she got breakfast ready for everyone, using her powers to multitask with the food and drinks.
While she got breakfast ready, the bottom half of her hair turned black and started moving around, grabbing a pitcher filled with juice made from the fruits on the Island. "Go on, go wake up the boys!" Colossus said again.
Mabel did what she was told and walked over to Dipper's dome hovel on the small cliff. However, she didn't get a chance to knock on the door, as Dipper walked out fully dressed, carrying lots of books, papers, and pens in his hands.
"Morning, Mabel!" He greeted his sister with a smile. Sniff Sniff "Smells delicious! Breakfast ready?" He asked, walking down to the table where Colossus was setting breakfast and greeting her too.
"I guess I'll go wake Timmy!" Mabel said with a shrug and made her way to the small movie theatre. Inside, the theatre was dark, with only dim lights on the side, like any movie theatre. It wasn't much of a movie theatre; it was just one big room with a screen.
Mabel walked in and saw Timmy sleeping on three fold-out seats with a blanket on top of him. "That doesn't look cozy," Mabel said quietly, as she leaned down and tapped him on his back shoulder, which made him wake up quickly with a jolt.
"Mmm, Yeah?!" He asked rubbing his eyes as his ears perked up
"Breakfast is ready; Cole told me to get you!" She said.
"Breakfast?! Hmm! Colossus hasn't cooked meals since we lived in the Sanctuary," Timmy exclaimed, rising from his sleep and starting to stretch and yawn.
"Huh, So Colossus does know how to cook," Mabel said.
"Of course, she does! She's been doing it for years since living as a freedom fighter. She stopped after the Mayhem ended," Timmy explained.
"Can you please leave now? I need to get ready!" He asked when his blanket fell from his head and body down to his thighs, revealing a bare chest and messy hair. "Alright," Mabel said and walked out, leaving the fox boy to get ready for the morning while she wondered who exactly Colossus was before they met. met.
At Breakfast
Colossus sat down at the table, a glass of purple fruit juice and a plate with a large sunny-side-up egg in front of her. "The eggs were quite big, so we're in for a filling breakfast!" she announced cheerfully. Everyone was amazed at how Colossus had managed to find such great food despite being on an island.
"This looks amazing," Dipper complimented the meal.
"Let's eat!" they all agreed, and started digging into the eggs.
Colossus stuck out her finger, extended her nail, and used it to pierce the egg like a spear or fork sticking into soft matter. She then lifted up her finger and put the entire egg inside her mouth as yolk dripped down her chin.
Mabel picked up her plate, held it over her mouth, and let the egg drop in. She chewed with happy, satisfied moans and a big smile on her face.
Timmy took bites out of his egg using his bare hands, while Dipper used utensils like a normal human and just stared at the others eating like slobs.
As they enjoyed their splendid breakfast, the Wise Old Hermit Crab approached them with a happy smile and a cheery tone, greeting them warmly.
"Good morning, Chosen Ones!" greeted the Wise Old Hermit Crab cheerfully as he approached the table.
"Good morning, Wise Old Hermit Crab!" they replied in unison.
"I see you've got breakfast!" he exclaimed. "How has your morning been so far?"
"It's been great!" Mabel answered on behalf of her friends.
"When you're finished, come by the waterfall. I've got a mission for you!" he announced before making his way towards the waterfall.
Colossus pounded her fist on the table in excitement, causing her breakfast to fly into the air and into her mouth. She swallowed a huge load without chewing it, making a wet, slippery noise that sickened Mabel and Dipper, turning their faces green. Colossus then stuck out her fork tongue and licked her entire face, which made the siblings even more disgusted.
"Come over when you're ready," Colossus said with a normal smile and walked off, whistling a tune.
Mabel and Dipper pushed their dishes away, losing their appetite, and gave Timmy a questioning look.
"What? She always eats like that when she's in a hurry," Timmy said, finishing his meal and walking away.
"She's as disgusting as Bill Cipher," Dipper declared.
"Maybe everyone in her time overlooks her demonic behavior because they see the real her," Mabel stated.
"Wise words, sis," Dipper acknowledged.
"She still acts like a real teenager; she just likes to do things extremely with her demon powers," Mabel explained.
"Come on, let's go see what the mission is," Mabel said, standing up and walking away. Dipper hurried to catch up with her as they made their way to the waterfall for their next adventure.
Once everyone was ready, they gathered around the Wise Old Hermit Crab to learn about their mission.
"I'm sure you're all aware that there are only four of you, but there should be more," he said. "Which is why you should go out and find them. But don't worry, I won't leave you astray. Rumor has it that the young fox king and the whiny rich girl have been seen down by the cove."
"Which cove?" Mabel asked. "And in what direction? This place doesn't have any signs or arrows to guide us."
"Oh yes!" he said, realizing his mistake. "Go down to the beach and head in the opposite direction from where you started. You'll find the cove there."
"At least we have an idea of where we're going," Colossus said, stroking her chin. "But before we leave, one of us should stay behind to take care of our camp and fulfill the prophecy if something happens to us."
"I'll stay," Timmy volunteered. "I'm not great in combat, but I'll keep busy by making projects to keep the camp safe."
Mabel protested, "No way am I staying, I want to see more of this place! And I can help Timmy with his projects."
"If you do go out, make sure to bring your weapons in case of hostiles," Colossus reminded them sternly, crossing her arms.
"Will do," he replied.
"And whatever you do, do not go back to the Campania!" Colossus commanded firmly, holding up a finger to emphasize her point. "I mean it!"
"I won't, I promise," Timmy said earnestly.
"Besides, there didn't seem to be any modern or 21st-century tech I could use. All I found was something that looked like a prop from a Frankenstein movie," he explained.
"Or at least, I hope it's just a movie prop," he added, putting a finger to his chin. "That place seriously has a creepy aura."
"What kind of prop?" Dipper asked curiously. "I've watched Frankenstein and they have realistic-looking props. What type of prop is it?"
"It looked like a machine that could store electric energy and use it to bring back our favorite giant undead movie star," Timmy replied.
Colossus's curiosity was piqued by this revelation. "Really?" she said.
"We'll have to talk more about this later. Right now, we have hours of sunlight and people to find," she added.
The Pines Twins and the Second in Command waved goodbye to the Wise Old Hermit Crab and Timmy as they departed.
"So, Timmy, what is a movie?" the old crab asked curiously.
The Cove
The three walked across the sandy cove searching for their missing friends. Despite the scorching sun, the winds off the water provided some relief from the heat. As they walked, another sand monster began to take shape, but Colossus quickly crushed it under her corset boot before it could fully form.
"I hate this summer weather," she grumbled, rubbing her forehead.
"Can't take the heat?" Dipper teased.
"You'd feel the same if you'd been to Hell," Colossus retorted with a smile. She adjusted her suit and let it snap against her chest, causing beads of sweat to bounce off her ample cleavage.
"Speaking of Timmy, he mentioned seeing a prop from the Campania. But didn't that ship sink back in 1889?" Dipper asked, changing the subject.
"What's your point?" Mabel asked, confused.
"Well, the movie Frankenstein didn't come out until the 1930s," Dipper pointed out. "I didn't say anything earlier because I didn't want to scare anyone."
"So, what you're trying to say is that prop wasn't a prop at all," Mabel said, realization dawning on her. "And if that's the case, then it means you're not the only one who has raised the dead."
Dipper shifted uncomfortably, while his sister playfully nudged his shoulder as if it was no big deal.
Colossus had her suspicions, but she didn't say anything.
Suddenly, a loud growl echoed through the cove, causing them to stop their conversation abruptly. Colossus instinctively held up her arm protectively, while the twins looked visibly frightened.
"Is that a zombie?!" Dipper asked, hugging his sister protectively. Wow, it looks like the talk about raising the dead really got to them. It does sound realistic.
"I doubt it, but stand back for now," Colossus replied.
Suddenly, they felt the strong presence of a beast, causing them to turn their attention to where they felt it. They saw a silhouette standing on the highest cliff of the cove. It let out another loud growl and then jumped off the cliff.
The black figure landed right in front of the group, revealing itself to be some sort of beast-like person. It looked almost human, except for its puffy yet ragged black tail and ears on top of its messy blonde hair. A black splotch painted across its piercing green demon eyes made it look like it was wearing an eye mask.
It wore a black suit, clawed gloves, and long sharp-heeled boots made of leather. A black rope was wrapped around its waist, with an empty bottle hanging from it.
The BeastMan bared its sharp teeth, emitting an intimidating aura that made Mabel and Dipper even more scared. However, Colossus smiled at the creature, undaunted.
Suddenly, the BeastMan charged towards them. Colossus stood her ground, while the twins held each other, shaking with fear, expecting their bloody demise.
The creature raised its claws and struck its target. To their surprise, they realized that they weren't the intended targets. They looked over to see what it was that the creature had killed, only to find another sand monster.
The BeastMan's claws impaled the sand goon, instantly killing it and ripping its goo out of its body. More monsters started to swarm around them, but the creature wouldn't have it. He attacked each and everyone that threatened them.
The BeastMan's attacks were similar to Colossus's; he used his hands and feet to crush and smash their heads in, getting covered in purple ooze. Colossus kept up her wicked demon smile while watching the creature dispose of those sand goblins.
Once the BeastMan was done, he was covered in splotches of purple ooze similar to blood splatter. He turned to look at the kids while licking his fangs.
"Good boy," Colossus said in a deep, sexy voice.
Suddenly, all the black on the creature started to morph into moving black goo, swarming around its body. The black goo slithered towards the bottle and inside it until every last slimy form was stuffed inside the little glass, revealing the true identity of the BeastMan.
His blonde hair and fox ears, along with a matching tail, were a dead giveaway that the young man was Prince Jacob.
"Jacob!" Mabel and Dipper exclaimed in unison, surprised to see him. Colossus playfully rolled her eyes, knowing all along that it was him.
"Hey, hot stuff! Glad to see you're here," she said, walking up to her boyfriend with a romantic smile.
"I wish I knew exactly what happened; I was helping your aunt in the basement when suddenly a big portal opened in the roof and sucked me in!" Jacob explained.
"I mistakenly grabbed one of those bottles filled with Demon's Blood, and the next thing I knew, I was falling from the sky. But this blood actually saved me," he added, showing them the bottle.
"It's been a faithful companion, protecting me from monsters and helping me hunt for food!"
"So what's been happening with you guys while I've been slicing up monsters, eating raw flesh, and sleeping in a tree?" Jacob asked his girlfriend.
"Well, we all got summoned here to stop the Mawgu from destroying our entire multiverse and taking over this Island," Colossus explained shortly.
"The Mawgu? Isn't that the villain from that Nicktoons video game you used to play as a kid and always talked about?" Jacob asked.
"Battle for Volcano Island," she answered. "Guess where we are now," she gestured at the scenery.
Jacob took a look around calmly and unimpressed. "I thought this was all made up," he said. "I never would have thought this was all real!"
"I didn't think so either, but here we are," Colossus agreed. "And for your information, it's not a dumb video game. It's an underrated, classic game!"
"May I remind you that those games and their characters were my only friends before you came along," she said, putting her hand on her hips defensively.
She really put Jacob on the spot. "I'm sorry, it's not a bad game," he apologized for insulting an object that took care of his girlfriend when she was a kid.
"That's okay," she said, accepting his apology. "Just be glad you don't have to sleep in a tree anymore or eat raw flesh because we have a camp nearby."
"Oh! The young fox king! You must be one of the chosen ones!" Mabel pointed out excitedly.
"Another chosen one fulfilling a prophecy, just like every other fictional character in cartoons and books. What an honor," he said sarcastically.
"Geez, you don't have to be such a grump about it," Dipper said.
"I'm sorry, it's just that things like this are predictable, and I'm not a fan of stories about prophecies and chosen ones," Jacob admitted, sounding tired.
Suddenly, they heard growling and hissing from nearby.
"Time to go!" Colossus said, grabbing Dipper by the wrist and running away. Jacob did the same thing with Mabel, trying to get away from the monsters.
After running for a while, the four tweens were finally able to escape the monster's hisses, allowing them to walk in peace.
"Timmy's safe," Jacob sighed in relief after Colossus filled him in on everything that had happened on the island since they arrived. "I'm so glad to hear that."
"I didn't even know he was here," Jacob rubbed his forehead. "Whenever I'm away from him like this, it makes me worried when I'm not there to take care of him."
"You're a good uncle," Mabel said, patting him on the shoulder.
"Well, I've got to be if I'm taking care of my deceased sister's child," he responded with a smile.
Suddenly, the sound of pattering footsteps made Mabel and Dipper flinch in fear. She grabbed Jacob's arm, getting nervous and shocked.
"What was that?" Dipper yelled.
They calmed down when they saw a medium-sized orange bird flutter by. That's what had spooked them.
"Why are you guys on edge?" Jacob asked. "It wasn't because I was in that dark monster form, was it?"
"The Campania spooked them," Colossus said. "It's a whole conspiracy thing about the dead being brought back to life."
"What's the Campania?" Jacob asked, lightly pushing Mabel off his arm.
"A really old ship over 1,000 years ago," she answered.
"Even older than the Pines twins?" He asked, cocking his head.
"Hey!" They both screamed at him in perfect unison.
"We are not old!" Mabel protested.
"Well, if you think about it, you guys are old to us. Whenever you come over to Zoran City, you're seen as the world's oldest people," Colossus said.
"Maybe to you, but it depends on the concept of time," Dipper said, walking ahead and not paying attention.
"If you think about it, it's—" he was interrupted when Colossus snatched the back of his vest, keeping him from taking another step and catching him off guard.
He looked down to realize he was about to walk off an edge, his foot just suspending over the edge. It didn't seem like a long drop, but still, it could've hurt. If he had dropped down, he would've landed in shallow waters and broken a leg at the least.
"Hey, Dipwad, we're not in Gravity Falls or Zoran City anymore. You can't just walk anywhere without paying attention," she scolded him, pulling him back.
"Hey, look at those," Mabel said, pointing to the tall rock formations in the water in front of them. They had flat tops, so it would be easy to stand on them.
All these rock formations led to the other side of the cove, but the gaps between them were too wide for anyone who couldn't fly or do parkour professionally to jump.
Suddenly, a strong gust of wind blew upwards from the bottom of the cliff, strong enough to lift a person.
"Intriguing," Jacob said as he stepped up to the cliff and reached out to feel the wind. It was so powerful that his arm quickly shot upwards, and he quickly pulled it back, feeling like the wind was going to rip it off.
"How amusing!" he smiled.
"I wonder if..." Without any warning, Jacob jumped off the edge, causing the twins to gasp in shock.
To their surprise, Jacob began to float as the wind carried him up into the air, and he landed safely on the nearest rock formation.
"Just as I predicted!" he yelled, pumping his fist in the air.
"Cool!" Mabel yelled as she jumped off the edge and was lifted by the wind, making her fly.
"Weee!" She squealed feeling the wind breeze through her clothes and hair, making them dance around her body. The thrill and excitement made her blush with happiness. Soon, when Mabel floated over Jacob, he grabbed her hand and pulled her down safely to the flat surface of the rock, which made her laugh even more.
Dipper stepped up to the edge but felt hesitant. "I'm not sure about this. What if the wind stops when I'm high in the sky, and I fall to my death?" he said, his voice quivering with fear.
"Don't worry, Dipper," Jacob said reassuringly. "The wind is strong enough to carry us. I'll be right here to catch you."
But before Jacob could finish his sentence, Colossus interrupted him. "Come on, don't be such a pussy," she said, pushing Dipper off the cliff with a mischievous smile.
Dipper screamed as the wind carried him up in the air, flailing his arms around in fear. "YOU'RE JUST LIKE MY SISTER!" he yelled angrily, his voice cracking with emotion.
"Am I supposed to take that as an insult?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
Dipper crawled over to Jacob and Mabel, landing on his knees and trembling with anger and fear. "It's no wonder she's my rival," he hissed under his breath.
Colossus opened her wings and flew to the rock formation faster than her friends could keep up.
"Don't expect me to push you again," she said to Dipper, patting him on the back. He glared at her while she held back a chuckle.
"If you don't want to jump, feel free to stay on this rock forever," she said, giving him a menacing look.
"Why would you want to stay here?" Jacob said, grinning. "The fun happens when you jump off and let the wind carry you!"
He jumped off the rock, excitement coursing through his body. His girlfriend followed him, soaring through the air once more.
"Dipper, come on!" Mabel urged. "It's not that high, and the wind is strong enough to carry you!"
"And don't forget, you also faced Bill Cipher and saved the world from his chaos," Mabel added, giving her brother a proud smile.
Dipper nodded, feeling a surge of confidence from his sister's words. "You're right, I can do this!"
Together, they jumped off the rock and soared through the air, following Jacob and Colossus to the other side of the cove. As they landed on the sandy beach, they high-fived each other, exhilarated from their adventure.
But their excitement was short-lived when Mabel spotted a figure tied to a tree in the distance. "Hey, look at that!" she exclaimed.
Colossus put on her best butler act, intrigued by the mysterious figure. As they approached, Mabel and Dipper quickly recognized the victim, but it was still a shock to see them in this situation.
"Oh God, it's you!" Dipper groaned.
"It's you!" Mabel said, trying to hide her excitement.
They found Pacifica Northwest tied to a tree, slumped forward and exhausted. Colossus lifted her head with her palm on her forehead, revealing Pacifica's blue eyes.
"Hey Jacob, she looks like Jewel if she were human," Colossus pointed out.
Suddenly Pacifica's eyes opened, and she groaned in pain and exhaustion.
"Where are those idiots?" Pacifica asked, her tone getting touchy. "Where are those creatures that tied me up?"
"What creatures?" Colossus asked.
"Giant ugly green crabs with a horrid attitude," Pacifica explained. "For some reason, they didn't like me, so they tied me up and left me here."
"Oh, I think I can guess why," Dipper said, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes with attitude.
"Let's just leave her here; this is Pacifica Northwest, the brattiest, most entitled girl in Gravity Falls!" Dipper said, gesturing at the rich girl.
"But Dipper, she could be the 6th chosen one!" Mabel protested.
"Her?! You've got to be kidding me!" He yelled in frustration.
"But the Old man did say to look for the whiny rich girl," Colossus explained, "Regardless of whether she is the chosen one or not, we have to take her with us." She then grabbed the rope and pulled.
The ropes snapped and Pacifica went limp, her body about to hit the ground, but Colossus quickly caught her before she hit the sand below.
"Take me away before those crabs come back!" Pacifica groaned.
"Alright then, let's head back to camp," Colossus said, taking off at super sonic speed again, picking up a gust of wind and breezing through everyone.
A flash of purple light dashed over the waters, sand, and grass, disappearing into the main island.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to ask, when did Colossus get super speed?" Mabel asked. "She didn't use it before."
"Oh, she just discovered that power a few weeks ago. It's pretty nifty!" Jacob said with a smile on his face. "Turns out demons can go super fast too!"
Soon the purple light streak came back, stopping short in front of Jacob, Mabel, and Dipper, turning back into Colossus.
"God, I love Legs!"
"Sorry, I left you guys here. I got caught up in the moment," Colossus apologized, feeling guilty and rubbing her head.
"My turn! My turn!" Mabel yelled, jumping up and down. "Make me feel like Sonic the Hedgehog or the Flash!" She then eagerly jumped on her friend.
"Okay!" Colossus said, grabbing ahold of her friend.
She took off running again taking Mabel with her, her excited screeches echoed across the cove making Jacob and Dipper chuckle for her excitement.
"Wait she is coming back right?" Dipper asked worried.
Camp Castaway
Everyone was now back at the camp, but Pacifica's constant complaining was making them regret bringing her along. She seemed incapable of appreciating the beauty of the environment and kept whining about being away from all her favorite possessions. However, they tried their best to ignore her and focus on more important things.
Jacob was thrilled to see his nephew again, and Timmy was pleased that they were all able to tune out the girl's endless complaints. Colossus, taking advantage of her super speed, decided to head back to the Campania while they had a spare moment. She was able to reach it in less than a second.
At the Campania, our hero Colossus looked around the ship and was shocked to see that it was even more of a mess than she remembered. But the sight and smell of death didn't bother her in the slightest; in fact, the repulsive stench of rotting blood and flesh made her salivate.
She walked around the ship as if she was investigating a crime scene, observing the corpses that were strewn across the deck. It was as if there had been an absolute massacre, with some corpses looking like they had been bitten apart, while others were stitched together with punctured heads.
Making her way to the ballroom that she had seen before, she found herself on the same floor as all the well-dressed corpses and shattered glass. As she walked through the room, she even came across the body that she had accidentally impaled with the chandelier earlier.
"I'm really sorry about that," she whispered to the dead human's soul, feeling a sense of guilt wash over her. She had no intention of disrespecting the dead.
She looked back to see a man who didn't die like the rest of the corpses; he appeared to have died from a high fall. This tall brown-haired corpse seemed to be the only one wearing a lab coat.
"Weird shit happened on this boat, and you might have caused it," she said to the corpse.
She turned away from the dead man and started walking again. It's not like he had the answers, but something here did. Suddenly, she froze in place, not because she was scared, but because she was about to step on something. Her heel was still on the ground, with her toes pointed upward.
She sensed that she was about to step on a splatter of blood stained on the carpet and lifted her foot up to take a closer look.
"This can't be right!" she said, then knelt to the blood, lightly stroking her fingers against the dry surface.
"The journey of the Campania across the Atlantic was an all-human affair," she continued.
Suddenly her eyes turned demonic, and her voice became more mature. "But it's clear not every passenger was human," Akumu said through her host's mouth.
"One of my elders was here," she added with a scowl.
She carefully scraped off tiny pieces of the dried blood from the carpet and licked the remnants off her fingers with a grin. "Way to mask yourself," she muttered to herself. "But I can recognize my own kind.
Her attention then shifted to a small box-shaped machine with a satellite dish on top, which seemed to have stored a significant amount of electricity.
"There you are, my little friend," she said as she approached it. She was surprised to see that the machine had remained intact despite the carnage around it.
"You're the reason why the Campania met its end," she whispered with a mixture of fascination and horror. Suddenly, she heard a faint scream in the distance that sounded like Timmy calling out her name.
"COLOSSUS!" she heard him shout. She turned to look in the direction of the camp and realized she had to hurry.
"Gotta go!" she muttered to herself, turning back to the machine. "But first..."
From a great distance across the sea, far from Volcano Island where no mammal could swim, the machine could be seen launching into the air, flying across the sky until it plummeted into the middle of the ocean and sank like a rock.
In no time, Colossus returned to Camp Castaway upon hearing Timmy's call. "What's up?" she asked.
"I found something!" Timmy exclaimed, presenting a drone. "It may be old, but it's in perfect condition and has a camera and screen for keeping an eye on us while we're out."
Colossus crouched to inspect the drone and spun one of its propellers. "Old human junk can be useful from time to time," she said with a grin.
"Very nice idea, big man," she added, ruffling Timmy's hair.
Suddenly, Pacifica screamed, causing them to turn around. It was just Old Man Hermit Crab making another visit, but his presence still frightened her.
Colossus understood that this was natural - humans were easily scared by things they didn't understand. "Sensei!" she called out to the Shaman Hermit Crab.
"I see you found the young Fox king and the whiny rich girl," he said happily as he scuttled over to Colossus.
"Who are you calling 'whiny'?" Pacifica retorted, annoyed at being labeled again.
The Shaman ignored her and continued to discuss important information with Colossus.
"Colossus, I have received word that your friend, the tall magic guardian, was spotted with the exiled crabs as their prisoner," the Hermit Crab explained urgently.
"Another chosen one to rescue?" Colossus clarified.
"Indeed. However, you must hurry before they harm her," he cautioned.
"Understood, but where are the exiled crabs?" she inquired.
"They are located in the center of the island, deep in the forest. They often build their fortresses on higher ground, so follow the bamboo walls," he instructed.
"Mabel! Dipper! Jacob! Let's go!" Colossus called out.
"And while you're out there, try to find me something edible. I'm starving!" Pacifica added, her hunger getting the best of her.
Mabel skipped past Pacifica and reassured her, "Don't worry, Pacifica, I'll find you something delicious to eat."
Colossus turned to Timmy and had an idea. "Mabel, do you still have that recaller Peridot made?" she asked.
Mabel pulled out a pink communicator with a shooting star on the base. "I sure do!" she replied.
Colossus then showed her black recaller with a purple moon on it. "How could I forget about this?" she muttered, feeling embarrassed.
She then handed the communicator to Timmy. "Use this to talk to Mabel while we're out there."
Timmy nodded, holding up the drone. "Good idea. There's really no audio on this thing."
Jacob interrupted, "Aren't we heading out?"
"Right, let's go!" Colossus exclaimed, and they all rushed towards the fortress.
Fort CrabClaw
There were many walls and cliffs to climb or fly over, but since only Colossus could fly, the group was left with climbing, and it was difficult.
Akumu, who had taken over Colossus's body, climbed the bamboo walls tied against the tall rock walls, digging her claws into the thicket.
Dipper rode on her back, trying so hard not to touch her inappropriately and held onto her through her hair so he would not touch her bare skin. Meanwhile, Mabel held onto Jacob, who climbed up the wall like a cat easily climbing a tree.
Once they reached the top, they were greeted by a pack of angry green hermit crabs who were not happy to see them.
"Intruders! All who aren't welcome; enemy combatants should be fragged on the spot!" They looked ready to attack.
"What does 'frag' mean?" Mabel asked, getting scared as the soldier crabs marched towards them.
"It's a military term for killing," Jacob explained.
"Oh God, they're going to kill us!" Dipper screamed in fear.
BeastMan Jacob growled, getting angry at the crabs. "Maybe we should take care of these soldiers ourselves!" He suggested, cracking his knuckles.
"I wouldn't mind. I was getting hungry for crab," Akumu agreed with a huge sharp-toothed grin.
Mabel and Dipper climbed off their friends' backs. "Do you really have to kill them?" Dipper asked, looking hesitant.
"Just close your eyes," Jacob said, and the twins complied.
While Mabel covered her eyes, Dipper held up his vest to shield her from any blood splatter. Jacob and Akumu began to attack the crabs.
Jacob sliced the soldiers into pieces and started ripping their limbs off, causing them more pain. Akumu stomped her high-heeled boot onto a crab so hard that it broke through his shell, instantly killing the crustacean soldier. She reached down, grabbing the pincer and started to pull until it came off with a sickening snap. To make things worse for the war crabs, the two started using dismembered limbs as weapons to stab and badly puncture their vital organs.
The splatter got so bad that a few droplets splashed Dipper on his vest and his raised forearm. When the sounds of crunching and splattering stopped, Dipper lowered his vest and held up his head, and Mabel did the same.
Looking at the massacre around them was unsettling, but the Pines had seen worse than this, thanks to Bill Cipher. They never had to puke at these sights.
"Couldn't we have dealt with them in a less bloody way?" Dipper asked, feeling uneasy.
"Army soldiers never give up or surrender," Jacob explained while dusting himself off. "If we had let them live, they would have kept coming until they killed us."
His demon's blood began to tire and wriggle back into the bottle around his waist.
"Plus, if demons don't satisfy their thirst for blood once in a while, it will eventually build up and unleash in a horrific way," Akumu explained. She transformed back into her normal self, allowing Colossus to take over.
"Who knows, if I hadn't killed those crabs, you two might have been tomorrow's breakfast," Colossus joked.
Dipper rolled his eyes, chuckling. He knew she was just kidding. Despite being a demon, she didn't scare him.
"Well, maybe not tomorrow's breakfast," Mabel added with a smile, crossing her arms. "But I'll make sure to keep myself tender and properly plump for when you need a decent meal," she joked.
They all laughed and joked around until they heard music coming from the fortress above.
"Is that music?" Mabel asked, holding her hand up to her ear to hear better. "Marching band music?"
"Seems pretty cliché for a group of war soldiers," Jacob commented. "Do they even use that type of music in wars anymore?"
"Well, these creatures live on a secluded island where things rarely change," Colossus said, walking up to the wall. "From what I've seen, they're all stuck in the past."
She jumped on the rock wall and began climbing up to the main fortress.
The main fort
Located at the top of the cliffs stood a fortress made entirely out of bamboo, adorned with green tapestries bearing the exiled crabs' emblem. A drone hovered around the fortress, but the crabs were too engrossed in the marching band music to notice it. The chosen ones were hiding outside the fortress, their backs against the bamboo wall, concealed in the shadows. Mabel had her communicator open, and they were in contact with Timmy on the other end.
"Anything interesting?" Colossus leaned over, asking.
"I found something that might interest you. Your friend, Star Butterfly, is inside," Timmy's voice came through the makeshift magic mirror.
"That's great news!" Mabel exclaimed, relieved to hear that her friend was there.
"But before you charge in, you should know that there are loads of crabs inside, and their attention is solely on her," he explained.
"But don't worry, there are legions of catapults at the base of the fortress walls that could come in handy."
"What about the guards on the wall?" Dipper inquired.
"There are no guards up there. All of the brutes are down in the field, marching back and forth to the beat of the music," Timmy replied.
"I think this can work, you guys go up to catapults on the wall while I sneak in to get Star." Colossus suggested.
"Sounds like a plan," Dipper said giving her a thumbs up.
So they all dispersed and Colossus snuck inside the fortress staying close to the shadows as possible and once inside it was revealed that Star was the one playing marching band music. Not by choice both of the teenagers were chained by the ankles while Star looked miserable conducting her wand as music came out of it.
As Colossus was sneaking towards the stage, she saw that the crabs were marching back and forth to the beat of the music, their attention fixed on Star and Marco. She quickly made her way to the stage, trying to avoid the crabs' eyesight. She made her way to the stage ducking behind the stage.
As Star played the marching band music with her wand, the crabs marched back and forth in time to the beat, their large claws clacking on the ground. She conducted them with her wand, making sure to keep the tempo steady so as not to upset them. She turned her head and noticed Colossus peering her head over the edge. "Coley!" She whispered excitedly.
"I'll get you out don't worry," Colossus whispered back then quietly crawled over the stage, Star smiled weakly in response and continued to conduct the marching band music with her wand. The crabs continued to march in time to the beat, their large claws clacking on the ground.
Colossus untied the chains from Star and Marco's ankles as quietly as she could, but as she was helping Marco up, Star accidentally stopped the music, getting the crabs' attention.
The crabs immediately noticed that Star and Marco were trying to escape and started chasing after them. "Shit! Time to go" Colossus quickly put Marco over her shoulders and Star over her other shoulder, carrying them both as she ran towards the exit.
They started running towards the exit, with the crabs closing in on them. Suddenly, they heard a loud boom, and coconuts started raining down on the crabs.
"Nice shot, Dipper!" Mabel shouted as she launched another coconut at the crabs.
"I didn't think I had it in me!" Dipper replied with a grin as he launched another coconut.
As they made their way towards the exit, the crabs were gaining on them. "We're not going to make it!" Marco exclaimed in a panic.
"Yes, we are. Trust me," Colossus said as she put on a burst of speed.
As they got closer to the exit, the crabs were just inches away from them. "Wait a minute we can't let them follow us, then they'll never leave us alone!" Star yelled; she looked back and steady her wand like a rifle and a burst of light blue illumination magic burst out of her wand which swallowed up the crabs.
After the light disappeared it was revealed that the crabs were frozen in blocks of ice. "Awesome Freeze Spell!" She screeched as Colossus ran out gate leaving them to shiver.
Jacob, Mabel and Dipper climbed down off the wall and starting running behind Colossus
"Phew, that was a close one," Dipper said, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"Yeah, but we did it!" Mabel cheered.
"Thanks to Colossus and Star," Marco added, grateful for their help.
Colossus just smiled, feeling a sense of satisfaction from a job well done.
Camp Castaway
After that chase with the crabs they made it back to the Camp and Star and Marco made themselves at home and Marco was finally introduced to Star's team of Heroes except for Steven who was still absent. But that my change since Star had snatched something useful from the Fort Crab.
"Look at what I was able to get from Fort," she said holding out an old universal communicator, "I tried using the mirror to call him but I couldn't get through to home, maybe this could help,"
"Oh Dammit I was gonna try to use the mirror to reach him," Colossus said annoyed.
"Well if the mirrors aren't working, it's a good thing we have that," Dipper said pointing at the communicator.
"That is if the batteries were included," Star said disappointed.
"That's how they get you!" Marco said.
"Don't lose hope, there is a lot of junk here on this Island, we are sure to find one," Mabel said handing Pacifica a basket of fruit.
After a while
Star and Mabel found Colossus at the beach squatting on a rock while looking out at the sunset; they wanted to say something to her that was on their minds that made them look up to her and love her; after everything that has happened today the lengths.
"Um, Colossus, I was hoping we could tell you something," Star said. The demon turned her attention to the two with a smile.
"You're just so cool, fearless and so selfless and I know that you already have a big family, but..." Mabel trailed off.
"I wish you were my Sister! And so does Mabel!" Star just went ahead and blurted out.
"I thought we already were sisters," Colossus responded calmly with smile, "Ever since the four of us became a team."
"A team; then that makes Steven our brother!" Mabel squealed which put Star at an unease because of her closeness with Steven.
Her face turned red. She had been growing feelings for Steven, and the thought of being siblings with him made her feel embarrassed. "Um, Mabel, I don't think that's such a good idea," she said.
"Right, you don't want Steven to be a brother to you," Colossus said giving Star a hard time knowing full well what she meant.
Then Star and Mabel sat on both sides of Colossus joining her at looking at the scenery.
Colossus put her arms around Mabel and Star, feeling grateful for their friendship and looking forward to spending more time with them in the future.
Who wouldn't want to be Sisters with someone who was willing to protect them from any harm?
