Chapter 21 Wedding Disaster

The day of Susan and Derek's wedding soon arrived. The couple had chosen to hold the event at a nice local wine garden complete with a beautiful lake. Tables and chairs had been setup and a tall wooden platform with stairs had been setup for the groom to stand eye level with his giant bride. The event would be attended by friends, family, supers, monsters, and a few celebrities and politicians including President Hathaway. Many people were recruited to cater to the event many of which were Dr. Calico and his associates using aliases.
Professor Twiney Vines was in charge of delivering plants to the events, The Conductor and Psycho Delic were in charge of music, Svengeance, Jean-Clawed, Hot Flash, and several henchmen, were waiters, and Judge Sludge was disguised as a priest. Destruction Worker and Stronghold would be waiting on the sidelines ready to spring into action, while Dr. Calico and Scarlet Overkill would attend the event disguised as guests.
The wedding soon began as the guests began to arrive. The supers and monsters sat near the front row with the families of the bride and groom and close family. The President and his protection detail sat in the middle rows. Derek climbed the stairs to the platform and then Susan arrived on the scene with her white wedding dress. Susan made her way to the platform and stood beside it. Judge Sludge using a holographic disguise that made him looking like a normal human priest stood on the platform with Derek and began to speak.
"We are gathered here together to unite these two in holly matrimonial." Said Judge Sludge.
Before anything else could be said Dr. Calico pushed a button on his watch that summoned M9 Assassin drones to fly onto the scene.
The M9 Assassin drones were big, round, and dark grey with a single red eye and two pinches that function like arms. They possessed highly equipped weaponry that included powerful lasers, tasers, and guns filled with bullets.
The drones flew over the parking lot and fired some missiles at all the parked cars making them explode into bits and causing a panic among the guests. Destruction Worker and Stronghold then appeared on the scene and began to make a scene and making it look like they were the ones behind the drone attack. The supers and monsters sprung into action and began to battle the drones and two super villains. Professor Twiney Vines who specialized in mutant plants activated all the mutant plants he had placed around the area and they started to attack all the guests causing more confusion and chaos. The disguised villains and henchmen also sprung into action and began to attack the guests and the President's security team.
Susan was taken aback by all the chaos going on and was about to leap into action, when someone close by spoke up.
"I wouldn't do that if I was you Ginormica."
Susan turned to the platform startled to see Judge Sludge who had ditched his disguise to reveal his true slimy form was retraining a panicked looking Derek. The giant hero tried to move towards Derek and Judge Sludge, but the villain tightened his grip on Derek's neck making him gasp in pain and causing Susan to stop.
"Good. You really do care about him. Now be a good girl and don't interfere and you and Derek can have your little wedding. We're just after one of your guests." Said Judge Sludge.
Susan glanced at all the chaos that was going and saw Scarlet delivering powerful kicks to the President's security team as they desperately tried to get the President to safety.
"You're after the President!" Gasped Susan.
"Guilty as charged. We plan to get a lot out of him." Said Judge Sludge with a wicked grin.
Susan tightened her fists in anger and annoyance. First she got hit with a meteor that caused her to grow ruining, which resulted in being taken in by the military, which ruined her first wedding and now a bunch of villains were crashing the event to kidnap the President and had taken Derek hostage! This was a disaster! It was like the universe itself didn't want Susan to marry Derek!
Derek was having a bit of a panic attack as Judge Sludge held him. This was insane and this whole situation made him just realize that being a celebrity particularly one that would be married to a person who tons of people viewed as a superhero was very dangerous and life threatening! Superheroes had tons of enemies who would go after and anyone close to them, which would include Derek himself! Derek started to have horrible images of being taken hostages by multiple villains who would either hold him hostage or hurt him to hurt Susan. That would be an absolute nightmare and Derek couldn't enjoy any fame or fortune with a life like that. Derek prayed that he would survive this ordeal and decided he would call the whole wedding off. This whole thing was a disaster!
