"So, you got detention." Captain America's detention PSA played on the classroom screen.

Oh my god, shut up. I listen to this whenever I get in trouble at home, Peter sighed. The only reason he had detention was because he was late to school so many times.

Yes, an avenger was in detention because they were late to school. Well, not many people knew that it was Peter behind the mask, but it was still infuriating.

"Hey! Loser!" MJ whispered-yelled from behind him, "Someone is messaging you!"

Peter checked his phone to find some messages from Tony. "Thanks MJ."

Peter hadn't had a mission since Thanos was defeated. After they had gotten the gauntlet off of Thanos's hand, Thanos's heart had gotten impaled on one of the Iron Spider suit's legs and had died. So, Peter technically killed Thanos. Then again, that didn't stop him from getting bullied by Flash at school. He didn't tell the other avengers about that, because if they found out Flash would be a dead man, and Peter didn't want anyone to get hurt. He also didn't fight back, because his enhanced strength might hurt someone.

As detention ended, the mission was the only thing on his mind, causing him to bump into almost everything on the way out.

"So, what was that?" MJ asked as they left the school.

"Oh, I have a new mission!" Peter exclaimed. He waved goodbye to MJ and practically ran to Happy's car. "Happy! I finally got a new mission!"

Nice." Happy grunted. Peter smirked, "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands!"

Happy didn't stop glaring at him the entire ride to SI and was still extra grumpy as Peter jumped out of the car and ran inside.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y take me to the avengers living room," he said inside the elevator. When the doors opened, he walked inside to find Sam and Clint racing each other in Mario Kart, Natasha arguing with Bucky and Bruce, Thor taking away Loki's knives, and Steve and Tony waiting for him at the table.

"Okay. So, uhh Fury wanted you for this mission even though we don't want you to-" Steve began but was interrupted by Peter. "Why me?"

"We don't know, and we don't even know what the mission is," Tony said.

"You guys sure he's not gonna ask Stephen to slingshot me into the multiverse for 30 years or something?" Peter asked.

"No-where'd you even get that idea?"

"Uhhh,"

"Peter's going on a mission?" Natasha asked and the whole room looked up from what they were doing to look at Peter.

"Don't ask me, I don't know anything," Peter said.

Steve sighed. "Fury is sending him on a mission but we're not allowed to know what it is right now."

"Shouldn't he have to tell you if he wants you to send him?" Loki asked.

Tony shook his head. "He said once Peter starts it we can know."

"Maybe it's because he hung up on him," Natasha mused.

"Peter hung up on THE NICK FURY?" Clint yelped.

"Jeez, what's so bad about that?" Peter asked and everyone turned to look at him. "What?"

"Okay, so he'll have to leave tomorrow morning and he'll be gone for the weekend, and then he'll have to go every weekend for a month," Tony said.

Aw, come on. A whole month? Maybe I shouldn't have hung up on him.

"It's probably some boring thing like politics class or something," Peter groaned.

"Think on the bright side! It's so classified only you're allowed to see it. He picked you for a reason, whatever that reason might be," said Bruce.

"Still probably going to be boring. Why do I have to do it?"

"Maybe it's because you annoy his ass off," Sam said.

"LANGUAGE!" Steve snapped.

"Oh, shut up Steve, back then you cursed more than Sam ever will," said Bucky.

"The young midgardian should not go if he does not want to," Thor stated.

"He doesn't have a choice. Fury said that he has to go. He's the 'only one with enough common sense.'"

Peter snuck away from the argument to his room, where he flopped dramatically onto the bed and sighed, then pulled out his phone.
