(AN: This is my first fanfiction. I am only writing for fun, not trying to become a professional writer or anything. This fanfiction contains very little dialogue, and a lot of exposition. If that is not your thing, you can skip this.)
I opened my eyes not knowing where I was. The last thing I remembered was being pushed in front of a truck by a crazy person I didn't even know. There's no way surviving that is possible. Not even if I was hit by the truck inside of a hospital with the world's best doctors next to me. I was probably dead on impact. It probably traumatized the children nearby. Well, at least they weren't pushed in front of a truck. But the question still remains, why am I still alive?
Looking around, I see I was in next to a tree, in a back garden. Then I saw my hand, far smaller than it should be, and bent at a wrong angle. Then the pain hit. Seeing this I realized I probably fell from the tree. That should also explain why my head hurts, I probably hit it when I fell. Suddenly I remembered a new set of memories. It was instant, like remembering a single event, except it was far more information than that. These were the memories of a 5 year old boy named Takeshi Aoki. Today was my birthday. But even weirder was the fact that these memories contained similarities with one of the manga and anime from back on earth. I clearly remembered the mountain with 4 faces carved into it. Or the forehead protector that my mother always wore.
Maybe it was lucky that I didn't have time to panic. My head and hand were a pretty good distraction. Luckily my mother, Yuka, was a medic nin and she had a day off today. I started yelling for my mom to come out of the house, in perfect Japanese that I now spoke, apparently. She opened the door to check why I was shouting, then after she saw me she came next to me in inhuman speed.
"What happened Takeshi? Are you ok?"
Suddenly a green glow appeared on her hand and she put it next to my face, relieving some of the pain. Then she moved to my hand.
"Yes, I fell from the tree. I think I broke my hand."
"Yes, I can see that, don't worry, It will be healed in a minute. And ... there, all new, wait here for a moment, I'll go get some water to clean your wounds so I can heal them better."
She went back for some water, cleaned my wounds, and performed the same jutsu again to close the scrapes I had.
"There, you're all new. Be more careful when climbing the tree, ok? I'll head back inside to finish your cake, yell if you need anything."
With that she left me back to my thoughts. Apparently, my father died in the kyuubi attack a year ago. Those memories were terrifying. I was living alone with my mother, who would spend a lot of time at the hospital. My father's sister lived next door with her husband and daughter and was a stay at home wife. The daughter, my cousin, was about my age. That's why my mother was ok with me being alone most of the day, I could go next door in case there was a problem, or if I wanted to play.
My father's family were about to visit later in the evening to celebrate my birthday, so I had to pretend to be a 5 year old boy. Luckily, Takeshi used to be a quiet kid since the kyuubi attack, so pretending to be him shouldn't be that hard. Now that I was 5, I was also eligible to join the ninja academy. Anyone between 5 and 7 could join, and there were 2 enrollment periods each year. The next time I could join was in 3 months, then in 6 months after that and so on. Not that I had any intention of joining. I had no desire of becoming a soldier. If I wanted power, the better option was becoming a monk, or training by myself and with my mother. I had no intention of becoming a killer. That being said, I still had to join the civilian academy, that had the same enrollment period. I had no intention of joining this early though, I would join in 1 year, and after graduating, I would see what I would do from there. Luckily, my mother didn't have a preference of weather I became a shinobi or not, she left it my choice. Probably because she came from a civilian background and had a lot of civilians in the family, same as my father.
"Takeshi, get in the house, your cousin's here!"
Well, time for the party I guess. Luckily I have the memories of how I should act.
After a few hours of pretending to be a 5 year old child, after the guests left, I went to my room. I received a few wooden kunai, a wooden sword, a ball, a puzzle and a reading book with a lot of pictures. The pretending was tiring and a little stressful, but I probably had to do a lot of it in the future. Tomorrow morning I would have to train my taijutsu with my mother, 1 hour each morning, and one in the afternoon on her days off. Time to finally try something I wanted to do since I got here, to feel my chakra. After a few moments of concentrating, I could feel it. The moment I tried to move it a little, I heard a sound.
