A small ring appeared in my hand. Inside it there were 4 scrolls, another ring, a lot of books and two booklets. I started reading the tl;dr diary booklet. I started the 8th simulation by doing what I've been doing in real life. Pretty much spend most of my time learning whatever I felt like learning at that time. With the help of my mental enhancements, learning went pretty fast. I learned the clone jutsu in about a week, then, 1 day later I could already create clones. Only with the help of my Hidden Yin Seal reserves. Now that I could do clones, I could learn multiple things at the same time. I made 16 clones, one for fuuinjutsu, two for genjutsu, five chakra control, one for medical jutsu, two for ninjutsu and five for sensing, and practiced taijutsu with my real body. This was because chakra control exercises could be practiced in parallel, while the knowledge for fuuinjutsu for example was mode sequential, making it harder to use shadow clones to learn it. It was not impossible to find things to parallelize, but I had limited chakra either way, so I kept the number of clones to 16 for now.
At 6 and 8 months I had to join the civilian academy. Luckily, I could leave clones at home that would learn while I was at school. During classes, I would usually practice my chakra control underneath the desk, or practice my sensing. When I got home, I would do physical exercises or practice my taijutsu.
By the time I was 7, I made a lot of progress in chakra control and sensing. I was about 20% done with chakra control mastery, and about 25% done with my sensing mastery. The other subjects were also going pretty well. I was lucky that the shadow clone jutsu returned the chakra to the user, otherwise I would be using chakra far faster than I would be refilling it. The clones did use mental enhancements though, which took quite a bit of chakra, so I couldn't keep the mental enhancements on at all times.
I decided to raise my number of clones from 16 to 32. Now I had 2 for fuuinjutsu, 4 for genjutsu, 10 for chakra control, two for medical jutsu, four for ninjutsu, five for sensing and five for practicing my shadow afinity. By the time I was 8 years old, I was 55% done with chakra control, 50% done with sensing, and I was starting to gain a shadow affinity. My theoretical understanding of medical jutsu was also progressing pretty fast. By the time I was 9, I had mastered my water and earth affinities. I was 85% done with chakra control and 75% done with sensing. I could perform over 200 simple jutsus, and my understanding of ninjutsu was pretty high. I could also perform the Shadow Possession Jutsu, or my version of it.
By the time I was 10, I finished with my chakra control and sensing. Having multiple shadow clones work for hours every day on a subject for a few years with mental enhancements while having an abundance of learning materials tailored specifically for myself was more than enough to master a subject. Now that I didn't have to use my clones for those 2 subjects, I could reassign them to something else. I decided to use 10 clones on genjutsu, since genjutsu training could also be parallelized. then I had 10 clones on shadow affinity training, 4 on fuuinjutsu, 4 on ninjutsu, 2 on medical jutsu and 2 on senbon training. By the time I was 11, I also finished with my shadow chakra affinity, and moved 10 clones on senbon training. I could now transform my body into shadow, fly in my shadow form and do the shadow teleportation.
At 12 years old, I had mastered both genjutsu and senbon throwing. I only had fuuinjutsu, ninjutsu, medical jutsu, taijutsu, bo staff and senjutsu left to master. I raised the number of clones to 50. I had 5 clones practicing chakra absorption to get a feel for nature chakra. Unfortunately, some would pop after turning to stone, and I would choose to block their chakra to not turn into stone myself. Since I didn't get the chakra back, this was very wasteful, and I couldn't use more than 5 clones on this. Then I had 10 clones practice fuuinjutsu, 10 clones practice medical jutsu, 20 clones practice ninjutsu, 3 clones on bo staff training, and 2 to practice taijutsu with myself. A few clones needed to have the Pseudobyakugan on at any time to make sure I wasn't discovered. I had as many clones as possible would practice inside the house, and I even had the clones transform and spread out a bit to make sure that in case they were discovered, people wouldn't see multiple copies of myself and start suspecting me. This was in case the third Hokage would use his creepy ball, though I was confident I could sense if he was.
At 12 and a half I graduated from the civilian academy. I now had to think what job I should get to keep up appearances. I decided on becoming a construction engineer. It could prove useful into the future. I had a lot of construction jutsus available, but didn't know how to create a structurally sound house. This would require another 5 years of education, so I enrolled immediately. At this point I mastered the Basic Shadow Style, and was 50% done with the Advanced Shadow Style. My senjutsu training was also going pretty well. I could now absorb a little nature chakra without turning into stone.
At 14 years old, I was done with learning most jutsus. The only ones I couldn't practice were those that were very flashy or very loud, since I didnt want to be discovered. I was 90% done with both fuuinjutsu and medical jutsu. I had mastered the Advanced Shadow Style of fighting and became proficient enough in senjutsu to start learning the Senjutsu Shadow Style. I increased the number of clones to 70 and assigned 20 of them on fuuinjutsu, 20 on medical jutsu and 20 on practicing senjutsu and the Senjutsu Shadow Style. The remaining 10 clones would activate their Shadow Sage Mode in the morning, and since the sensing ability increased a lot in this mode, the clones could sense the shadows outside the village and teleport outside, then go a few tens of kilometers away and practice the remaining flashy ninjutsu.
At 15 years old, I had mastered everything I had to master. The first thing I decided to do next was to learn everything I didn't know about medical ninjutsu, like genetics or poisons and antidotes. I had 20 clones focus on this. The remaining 50 clones would experiment with fuuinjutsu and senjutsu. I wanted something similar to Orochimaru's Cursed Seal. At 16, I managed to create a universal chakra filter. If you gave it a sample of one type of chakra, it could turn transform any other chakra into the same type of chakra as the sample. This way I could theoretically obtain any kekkei genkai I wanted, as long as I could get a sample of the chakra of a person that had that kekkei genkai. Or even a few of their cells, since they would generate that chakra. I then could transform my own chakra into the chakra that had the yang part attuned for the kekkei genkai and use that chakra to perform jutsus specific to those kekkei genkai. Unfortunately, the filter only worked on the aspects of chakra I fully understood. So I could turn my chakra in shadowy chakra, and I could turn nature chakra in shadowy nature chakra, but couldn't turn nature chakra into normal chakra or vice versa. This meant I couldn't fill my store of normal chakra from my Hidden Yin Seal with chakra absorbed from the environment.
At 17, the time of the attack came. I was close to a shelter when the attack started, and hid inside the shelter throughout the entire attack. After the attack, my entire class from construction school were required to help with the rebuilding. We got a lot of practical experience. Six months later I graduated from school, took a final test, and was certified as a construction engineer. There weren't any jobs inside the village as an engineer, so I got a job as a normal construction worker.
At 18, I managed to add another storage area to the Hidden Yin Seal, one for Shadow Nature Chakra. It would absorb chakra from the environment, and convert it to the chakra I used in my Shadow Sage Mode. My studies of poisons were also going very well, unfortunately I didn't have access to the plants I wanted and had to have shadow clones outside the village look for them. I decided to put my engineering degree to use, and built myself a hidden lab in a secluded area underneath a cave that was impossible to enter by normal means. I could enter it using my shadow teleportation. There I started experimenting with creating electricity and artificial light using fuuinjutsu. I wanted to create a farm for the plants I needed in order to experiment with poisons. A civilian couldn't just buy them.
At 19, I had managed to create both electricity and artificial light using fuuinjutsu. I then started my underground farm. I also decided to leave the village to start looking for some of Orochimaru's bases. He was going to be defeated by Sasuke soon either way. I already had some information about a hideout from the maps from my second simulation. I went to the location indicated on the map, and found Orochimaru's Eastern Hideout. In the second simulation however, the hideout was nothing but a ruin, since I discovered it further into the future. I decided to wait a little more until Orochimaru was dead, so I spent the next 6 months looking for the other hideouts. I only managed to find one, and that was because I knew what I was looking for. I sent a lot of clones to look for small islands on the coast of Wave Country. I managed to find a small island that was hiding Orochimaru's Southern base. That is where he would hide his prisoners. Also where Karin was. I didn't have any interest in this base.
When I heard about Orochimaru's death, I went back to the Eastern Hideout and stealthily entered inside using my Shadow Teleportation. Then I used my Paper Sensing Technique to sense all the paper inside the base, and quickly read everything without being discovered. There were quite a few hidden rooms. This hideout was the hideout where Suigetsu was kept, so most of the information I got was on Suigetsu. This coud help me with improving my genetics research. After finishing with the Eastern Hideout, I went to the Southern Hideout and did the same. I had to wait until Karin fell asleep to start doing my looting. Like last time, I went and read any paper I could find inside the hideout. Unfortunately, the information wasn't as useful as what I found in the previous hideout. I decided to steal a little of Karin's chakra while she was sleeping. I went next to her, used my chakra absorption jutsu and teleported out immediately. She did wake up, but was probably confused and taught she imagined everything.
After finishing with Orochimaru's hideouts, I went back to my poison plant farm. There I started studying everything I looted. I made a bit of progress with my genetics research. At 20, after Pain's attack, I returned back to the village and helped with the reconstruction. I could finally put my degree to use. The next 2 months I spend doing various engineering projects for the reconstruction. I also helped with the construction itself. During the 4th Shinobi War, I didn't have to participate since I was a civilian.
At 22 years old, I found a way to represent chakra numerically. This way I theoretically didn't need a sample of one's chakra to gain their abilities. I did however need to understand their chakra in order to represent it numerically. And practically, in order to understand the chakra, I probably needed a sample, so this way of representing chakra didn't offer many benefits other than allowing me to only change the parts of chakra that I needed.
The notes on Suigetsu turned out to be very useful. At 24 years old, I figured out how to make my shadow mode permanent, by adding a seal to my heart that would modify my chakra into shadow chakra. This way, even if I was stabbed in the heart, that area would turn into shadow similarly to how Suigetsu turned to water. At 28, I finished studying Karin's chakra, and added the features I wanted from this to my own chakra filter and to the filter from the Hidden Yin Seal's nature chakra storage. After the modifications, my natural healing factor improved. I could also use a form of shadow chains to capture my opponents. They were more resistant and faster than the shadow I used previously. I did have to retrain my chakra control a bit though.
At 30, I finished learning everything I had on genetics, and my poison studies were also going pretty well. There were very few things I could do for the rest of the simulation. I decided to make a list:
- improve Nootropic Mode
- improve Time Dilation
- create personal dimension like the Kamui Dimension
- improve teleportation to be able to teleport to a place from memory, like Kamui
- research dimension travel
- make cells generate new chakra naturally instead of needing a filter
- improve the Hidden Yin Seal's healing factor to take advantage of the new chakra
- create fuuinjutsu AI
- improve my versions of the Yamanaka jutsus
At 34, I found a new way to use Time Dilation and Nootropic Mode by changing the chakra used. Now, instead of using more chakra to get a better nootropic effect, I could simply make the chakra more potent. I did manage to find a good potency that would give me the maximum level of improvement, without any side effect like a headache. I also managed to improve the time dilation. I could now slow my perception of time by a factor of 16, using the same amount of chakra it would take to slow it down by a factor of 2. The dilation factor wouldn't affect the amount of chakra used, it just required chakra of different potency.
At 35 I left the village. I went to the Land of Waves and got myself a house. In a few hours I had a lab underneath the house where I could continue my genetics research. At 36 years old, I managed to create a seal that was entangled to my own chakra and would allow me to sense everything around it. At 37, I managed to use this connection combined with the sensing in order to use shadow teleportation to the new area. I pretty much recreated the Flying Thunder God Technique. Now I wanted to upgrade it to Kamui teleportation, or apparition, basically without the need for a fuuinjutsu beacon. I decided to move my lab to the farm. I could always just teleport there directly.
At 42 years old, I managed to create seals remotely, even though it took about 3 seconds. All I needed was an established entanglement. Now I could teleport to any of my previous fuuinjutsu that was connected to myself. For example, if I lost my interspacial ring, I could add a sensing fuuinjutsu to it, since I already had a connection to it. Then I could teleport to it's location. All I needed now was the ability to create entanglements between my position and a place outside my sensory range.
At 50 years old, one of my clones finally managed to create entanglements between its chakra and the lab without using the previous sensor seal. It then created a seal through the connection and teleported to that location. The creation of the entanglement turned out to not be that difficult, the difficult part was sending a seal through the entanglement. The more chakra inside the seal, the more time it took. If I now wanted to add a "storage seal" through the entanglement, I would have recreated the long distance Kamui.
At 54 years old, I finally mastered long distance teleportation. I could speed it up by not giving too much power to sensor seal and get almost instant teleportation, but this was not as safe as properly sensing what awaited me on the other side of the teleportation. This still worked in an emergency situation though, and this combined with my shadow body and healing factor would minimize the risk.
At 60 years old, A clone managed to create a random overpowered entanglement. Sending a sensory seal to the other side took a bit of time. The area looked very volcanic. The clone teleported to the other side, and flew around for a few minutes before popping. The air on the other side wasn't safe to breath and the temperature was very high. The gravity also felt quite different, so I either managed to get to a different planet or a different dimension or universe. At 62 years old, I managed to figure out how the yin and yang chakra would be used in the creation of the entanglement, which allowed me to be more specific when creating the connection. I managed to experiment with teleporting to habitable locations. At this point I was pretty sure I was traveling to different universes, since the stars didn't match, yet the planet was too similar to Earth, similar plants and similar gravity.
At 70 years old, I made some progress to my genetics research. I created a seal that would modify my cells to cells that would naturally create a certain amount of chakra. I then modified the seal on my heart that modified my chakra to also modify my cells to naturally produce the new chakra. This could take up to 10 years to modify all the cells in my body, but I could speed that up by using the healing factor of the Hidden Yin Seal to speed up cell division. After quickly modifying all my cells, my chakra reserve drastically improved. Turns out Uzumaki cells release more chakra than normal cells, giving them bigger reserves. Now I had a bigger natural reserve, and filling the Hidden Yin Seal took far less time. I did have to retrain my chakra control a little bit.
At 72 years old, I modified the healing factor from the Hidden Yin Seal to take advantage of my new chakra's healing properties. It now used far less chakra to heal myself, and it was also faster. My poison research also went pretty well, and I could now create antidotes for most poisons pretty fast. My genetics research was also complete.
I spent the next 5 years trying to improve the Nootropic Mode and the Time Dilation. I did manage to improve the nootropic effect a bit, and got the time dilation to a factor if 32. Then I started to experiment with creating my own dimension using fuuinjutsu. I already created something similar using storage scrolls. Now I had to add things like gravity and breathable air inside the dimension. It took me 10 years to have a space with gravity inside. The dimension had all ends connected, so if something went in one direction for a certain amount of time, they would end up in the same place. It took me another 2 years to make sure there wasn't a connection between the "up" and "down" directions, and to add some limits. Then I managed to add earth and air. I added a fuuinjutsu seal that would filter the air and keep it at a certain composition. My personal dimension was now complete.
At 90 years old, I managed to improve my Hidden Yin Seal's healing factor even more. It was already safe for me to travel to different dimensions, since my healing factor would make me immune to any virus I wasn't already immune to, but I was scared I could kill the inhabitants of the new dimension instead by introducing a new virus or something dangerous. Now it was safe for me to travel, the Hidden Yin Seal would clean me of anything dangerous. I did a few experiments by sending clones to alternate versions of Earth.
At 92 years old, I managed to create a seal that would prevent the creation of entanglements in a certain area. I added this seal to my personal dimension. I could still create entanglements from the inside. So basically it was possible to teleport out, but not in, not without an already existing entanglement created manually. I had already created such an entanglement attached to a ring. Now I could enter the dimension as long as I was holding the ring. This would hopefully stop anyone from entering my dimension without my permission. At least it would if there weren't other ways of teleporting that I didn't know about.
At 94 years old, I started working on a fuuinjutsu AI. I could theoretically connect it to myself to augment my intelligence, but I decided to keep the AI separate from myself. I didn't want to change so much that I wasn't myself anymore. At 95 years old I had a personal AI inside my head. It also worked inside my mindscape. And made looking up information inside the library a lot easier.
During some of the Dimension Travel experiments, some clones had problems with some areas with high levels of radiation. I then moved to the Land of Bears to study their radioactive rock. It took me 3 years to make myself immune to radiation, and to improve my chakra a little more, making it a bit more potent. I added these changes to my Cell Modification Seal, and made these changes permanent. This improved the time dilation effect even more, allowing me to slow down time by a factor of 50.
I spent the next 3 years trying to improve my "legilimency" and "occlumency". Instead of entering one's mindscape to read memories, I managed to use entanglement again to create a connection between the mindscapes. If the mindscape wasn't protected, I could listen to surface thoughts through this connection. Since a person's chakra was more chaotic than nature chakra, keeping a connection going required more effort. In order to connect to one's mindscape, I had to keep looking them in the eyes, or be in contact with them, otherwise the connection would break. This could be countered by creating a connection with fuuinjutsu, but this would be too time consuming and noticeable. I managed to use this connection to retrieve surface thoughts from my clones, or even retrieve specific memories. The connection could be detected though if someone knew what they were looking for, which is also what I trained to do with the help of my clones.
After mastering my "legilimency" and "occlumency", I spent the remaining few years recording my learning materials inside my mindscape, and reorganizing everything. My learning materials were now organized closer to the learning environment from my previous world. Every subject was split into 24 different levels, 4 levels for an elementary school proficiency, 4 levels for middle school and 4 levels for high school, then 3 levels for the equivalent of a bachelor's degree, 3 levels for the equivalent of a master's degree, 3 levels for the equivalent of a doctorate, and the remaining 3 levels for complete mastery of the subject. I also had tests prepared at every milestone to test my mastery.
After finishing with the tl;dr diary, I started reading the other booklet. It explained the function of the 3 fuuinjutsu scrolls inside the ring. I took out the Mindscape Upgrade Scroll and put it over my Mindscape Seal, then transferred the upgrades, then I took another scroll to upgrade my Hidden Yin Seal, then I placed another scroll over the mindscape to add the AI functionality, then I placed the forth scroll over my heart and transferred it. The last one was the Cell Modification Seal. After placing the last seal, I started overpowering my healing factor in order to accelerate cell division and increase the speed at which all my cells would be modified. It was a completely wasteful way of using the seal. Normally, the healing factor would work automatically and only in the affected areas. But I needed new cells throughout my body, which meant I deeded to misuse the healing factor. If I used the healing factor every day for about a month, my entire body would have new cells.
There was also a ring inside with the scrolls and the books. It was the ring connected to my personal dimension. I didn't know how to do the shadow teleportation at this point, so I didn't know how to enter the dimension. Or how to exit it, which was even harder. I then decided to test the feature I was most excited about.

Ava was the name of the AI that I created. It could analyze things a lot faster than me, which could increase my research speed. I could delegate a lot of menial things to the AI. After looking over the materials, I realized it would take me about 50,000 hours on each subject to master everything. If I used 8 clones on a subject, I could on average speed up my learning by 5 times, depending on how easy the learning material is to parallelize. This would bring the total to about 10,000 hours. If I then used my mental enhancements, I could decrease that time by a factor of 10 on average, leaving me with 1,000 hours of work on each subject from the 50,000 initial hours. This meant I could master about 2 subjects a year, which meant it would take me 5 years and a half to master everything. If I used 16 clones on each subject, it would take me half that time. I couldn't make so many clones at this point, but after the cell modification was complete, I would have more chakra naturally, my chakra regeneration would be faster, which meant that my Hidden Yin Seal would fill faster, and the chakra would also be more potent, allowing me to make more clones with less chakra. It wouldn't be impossible to create 200 clones a day at that time, especially since most of the chakra from the clones would be returned.
If It took me 1000 hours on each subject, and each subject had 24 grades, it would take me an estimated 41.67 hours to master a grade using 8 clones, 20.83 hours to master a grade using 16 clones. I quickly learned the shadow clone jutsu, and used 32 clones in total each day, between 2 and 4 for each subject. I spent the rest of the month training. Before the new simulation was approaching, I checked my progress:

I now had to think what I could do in the following simulation. I pretty much achieved everything I wanted to achieve. From this point forward, all I had to do was master the materials I already had access to. The following day, the long awaited sound finally came:
