Chapter five:

Leo groans as he feels a pain shoot through his stomach. He tries to shift up he gets to where his torso is off the bed held by his arms, only to stop as moving feels painful. He clenches his teeth and thinks that maybe it is finally time. He shivers as he feels like shock waves are going through his body. He clutches at the blankets and pillows of his nest.

The medic who has been staying comes in probably to check on Leo. She hurries over realizing what is happening.

"Rain." Leo gasps out, one eyes closed as he tries to handle the pain.

"It's okay Leo." Rain assures him with a gentle smile. She places a gentle hand on his shoulder. "It may seem like a long time but it'll be over before you know it."

Leo hopes that she's right. He gasps feeling shifting within him and it makes him shiver. His tail has already raised itself as if anticipating, probably by instinct, that it needed to be out of the way.

Rain moves to make sure that Leo will lay the eggs without issues. She runs a soothing hand down his shell. "Keep your tail up like that."

Leo swears that if he clutches the blankets any harder he'd rip them. He just needs to clutch to something at the pain and shifting. His teeth clenched hard however he is clutching the blankets harder. He feels like his insides are rearranging themselves. He lets out sounds of pleasure through his clenched teeth. Both of his eyes now clenched shut.

"You're doing great." Rain tries to soothe him though words do very little right now.

Leo opens his mouth slightly tilting his head back as he lets out a louder sound of pain. He can feel something large trying to push its way down his body. He can feel it stretching him out. His body is trying to clench around it which isn't helping it be able to get out.

"You gotta push Leonardo." Rain tells him loud enough to make sure that he hears her. "If you let the eggs sit there inside of you then you could break them."

Leo nods softly as he can't find it in him to speak as all that's coming out is pained noises. He hangs his head as he tries to push the egg out of him. He takes deep huffing breaths through his nose to try to stop clenching so much. He finally feels the object moving slowly down through his body as he keeps trying to push it out. His body trembling as shocks of pain shoot all up and down his entire body. He can feel it getting closer and closer to exiting. "Ah!" He cries out as he feels something slightly push past his hole. His head hanging as sweat and pained tears drip down to the nest.

"Keep going Leo." Rain encourages gently petting his back. "The first one is coming. Push it out." She encourages him as Leo tries to push despite the pain shooting through him.

Leo swears he's being torn apart from the inside out based on the pain he's in. He uses as much will power as he can to keep pushing. He just needs to get these eggs out and this pain will finally be over. He lets out a sigh as the stretch at his entrance is suddenly gone. He does feel slightly better however still feels the shifting going on inside of him.

"You've got one out." Rain informs him. "A healthy looking egg too. Keep going if you feel anything else there. You'll feel so much better as soon as you get them all out."

Leo nods softly as he tries to keep his breathing from becoming quick. He needs to try to breathe to try to not tense up. He doesn't want to cause any harm to any of the eggs still inside of him. He enjoys the slight break as he is aware that there will be more coming. A little too soon for him he feels the pain return as the next one moves. He lets out a huge puff of air as he can feel it shifting into position. He barely remembers the instructions to push it through the pain. He lets out a pained sound as he does his best to push it down.

"Keep going." Rain encourages him gently. "Everything is going great. You've got this."

It takes a while of pain until finally the second egg slips out of Leo. He takes deep breaths during the short break. He can feel the shifting still though it's lessened. He thinks that maybe he just has one more to go. He clenches his teeth when the next egg goes to be on its way. He feels like he is drenched in sweat at this point. He wouldn't be surprised if the area under him was damp, not that he'd probably know if he laid down because of how sweaty he is. His arms and legs tremble as they threaten to collapse from under him. His training does help in this as he does manage to keep himself up.

Nile used times Leo was exhausted, during training, to teach him how to push through; to stand longer than others would.

It is a standard thing taught in this group.

Nile thinks that they need to prove to be the toughest of all the groups. So he has things like that put in training to truly show strength.

Leo pushes the egg along barely managing to hear Rain encouraging him still. He feels like his head is swimming and he just wants to collapse onto the nest. He feels an arm tuck under him across his chest. He barely cracks an eye open to glance to Rain.

Rain seems to be ready to help make sure he stays up. "You can keep going. As soon as this is over you can rest. You're actually in a great position for this to be easier. Okay?"

Leo barely manages the slightest nod. His eyes shut again as another wave of pain rushes through him. He keeps pushing exhaustedly still clutching the blankets, all while he pushes through the pain. He wants this to be over already. He keeps going feeling slightly relieved when he feels that the egg is almost at his entrance. He just needs to push a bit more. He gives a good push wanting this to be done. He has to keep going. He doesn't feel anymore shifting so this is probably it. He grits his teeth a little while clenching them as he feels the egg start to come out. He is suddenly wondering if he really can get this last one out. His body is so sore and he is so tired. He isn't sure how much strength he has left. His breath is now heavy with pants to go along with his exhaustion. He swears that just laying these eggs are more work than fighting.

"One more push." Rain tells him gently rubbing his shoulder with her free hand. "Come on. You can do it Leo."

Leo takes a shaky breath before using whatever strength he can muster to push. He feels the egg fall out of him and his body settles down. He lets out a shaky sigh of relief at feeling this. He is left so sore and yet so tired he'll probably sleep without issue.

"Don't collapse on me yet." Rain informs him making Leo give out a displeased groan. "Do you feel anymore?"

"N-No." Leo pushes out with a slight croak.

"Okay. Then I do think you're good to lay down." Rain let's go of Leo to let him rest while she checks the eggs.

Leo falls forward landing to lay on his stomach on his nest. He tries to catch his breath while just wanting to pass out. His eyes slightly glance back as he feels hands on him.

"Sorry. I'm just checking that you're okay." Rain explains and Leo is too tired to even really respond.

Leo's eyes start to close as he is checked over.

"Well I don't see any issues. Plus from what I can tell I do believe you did get them all out." Rain shifts before bringing something on a pillow wrapped in a blanket into Leo's view. "You have three healthy looking beautiful eggs. Congratulations!"

Upon seeing his eggs Leo feels a little strength come. He shifts wanting to be close to them.

Rain seems to pick up on this. "Here. Hold on. Lets not push yourself too much right now. I'll let you have them close by." She makes sure the other stops shifting before moving. She gently placed the eggs right beside Leo's body.

It almost is as if Leo is like a cat with a kitten laying against his side. He shifts his head to be closer to his eggs. He can see that there is one that is bigger than the other two, and one that is just slightly smaller than the other. He can only really tell since they're close together. He can pick up a slight humid musk which he just assumes is from when they went through him.

They do seem slightly damp with something.

If Rain isn't bothered by it then it should be fine.

Leo feels his heart warm at the thought that these are his and Raphs eggs. He will protect them no matter what. His eyes flicker up as the front door closes.

"I'll be right back." Rain heads away and sounds like she is talking to someone.

A few moments later Nile enters into the room.

Leo keeps his eyes on Nile as his instincts tell him to protect his eggs from anything.

Even if Nile will likely not even so much as scratch the eggs.

Nile gives Leo a serious look before smiling to him. He approaches and looks at the eggs. He doesn't touch them though it's not clear if he doesn't want to cause damage, or if he can tell that even exhausted Leo wouldn't let him lay a hand on even one. "They're beautiful." He mentions as his eyes shine while looking at the eggs. "Heh. The one that's bigger than the other two will probably be quite the strong baby." He turns to Leo giving him a smile. "They probably all will be. You're strong. So I know your children will be too. They'll turn out to be great warriors." He reaches over gently patting Leo's head. "You did a great job bringing them into this world. You'll see them blossom and grow stronger. We'll start training on them as soon as they're ready. They'll probably be able to even pass the others in training." He moves his hand away as Leo doesn't smile at this. He does seem to be a little unhappy that Leo isn't excited about that like he is. He does his best to hide it and be excited about it for them both. "Usagi is on patrol. I'll tell him as soon as he gets back. You get some rest. I know I never say this to anyone. You've earned it." He really isn't one to really say those three words, though hearing it feels nice to a small part of Leo. He gets up and leaves to let the turtle rest.

Leo can't fight it anymore and his eyes close as he passes out in his exhaustion. He blinks awake sometime later feeling more rested, yet slightly tired, and he glances to where his eggs were. His head shoots up at seeing that they're not there anymore. He glances around spotting Usagi asleep leaning back in a chair. He is about to shout at the other to demand where the eggs are. He turns as Rain enters the room holding the eggs.

"Ah. You're awake." Rain heads over to Leo who looks to her demanding why she took them. "Sorry. I just wanted to make sure that you didn't roll on them in your sleep. I thought I'd help take care of them while you got the rest you needed. I promise nothing happened to them. Here. You can have them back." She gently places them back at Leo's side.

Leo checks over them to see that she was right that nothing happened. He is glad to see this and relaxes.

"How are you feeling?" Rain inquires moving around to check Leo over.

"Rested. Still kind of sore." Leo admits as the feeling comes in now that he's relaxing.

Rain nods. "The soreness is understandable. It is good to hear that you do feel like you got a good amount of rest." She yawns which Leo takes note of. "Sorry. It's late."

"You go rest. I can take care of my eggs." Leo tells her to which she nods before heading off. He looks back to his eggs. "I'm here." He whispers to them slightly curling himself around them. He gently churrs lovingly as he looks at his eggs. He stays right there just wanting to lay close with his eggs.

After a few moments a slight groan comes from where Usagi set up his chair.

Leo's eyes flicker to him seeing the other shift then glance around sleepily.

Usagi ends up noticing that Leo is looking at him. He blinks himself further awake then stretches his arms above his head in a long stretch.

Leo slightly rolls his eyes knowing Usagi is trying to show off a little. He turns away to look to his eggs. He'll be with the one he loves soon enough. He just needs to wait for his eggs to hatch. He hears Usagi come over to stand beside the spot Leo made his nest.

"You know. They're beautiful eggs Leo." Usagi mentions shifting to sit on his knees as Leo slightly glances to him. "Seeing them kind of makes me wish I was the father." He gives the other a soft smile. "But it's okay. I promise I'll do my best for both the eggs and you. Even though I know it's all pretend."

Leo wants to tell him to not concern himself over that for too much longer. He will be going to be with the real father. He keeps quiet as he is worried the other will go tell Nile.

Usagi is one of those who would turn to Nile to stop Leo from leaving.

So Leo is going to have to just let Usagi to continue believing this is permanent.

"Do you want me to hold them while you rest some more? You're probably still pretty tired from getting those out." Usagi offers not even reaching out as he waits for Leo's response.

Leo slightly glares at him as if daring him to lay a hand on them.

Usagi chuckles at the glare seeming to take it in good spirits. "Okay okay. I get it. No touchy." He raises his hands to show he won't touch Leo's eggs. "I still think you did great Leo. And I know that you'll be a great parent for these children. Have you thought of any names?"

"Gonna wait till they hatch." Leo does remember the names that he and his mate came up with. He just knows that they'll wait till they meet to confirm the names. He just wants to do that with his actual mate, not the pretender.

"Thats okay. I'll let you pick them out. But if you need any help just let me know." Usagi offers a smile to Leo who just focuses on his eggs.

Leo kind of wishes that Usagi would leave or go back to his chair to sleep some more.

"Maybe it's time you go home and rest." Niles voice from the doorway causes the two to turn. He is standing in the doorway with his head held high in authority.

Leo slightly glances to Usagi seeing that he wants to argue to stay. He is glanced to by Usagi as if asking for help to get him to stay. "You probably should go." He agrees to which Usagis eyes widen. "Your own bed will be better for you."

Usagi glances back to Nile who lets out a low growl in warning. He drops his head giving a nod. "Okay. I can come back tomorrow when I'm not busy." He hurries out with Nile moving to let him go past. He is heard leaving out the front door.

Nile approaches Leo's nest causing the other to turn to him. "I can order that he doesn't enter here if you don't want him around." He tells Leo like it's just a fact he's sharing. "I can tell by your face you didn't really want him hanging around. Just because he's the father doesn't mean you have to just let him hang around. If you really don't want to."

Leo knows that if Nile really did give those orders then it would happen.

Usagi wouldn't even be allowed anywhere near the house without getting possibly attacked.

Leo doesn't really want Usagi to get attacked just for pretending to be the father.

Usagi is actually being helpful, and very kind, in covering for Leo so he doesn't get in trouble. It'd be wrong to let him get attacked for trying to come anywhere close.

Anyone else in this group, in Leo's situation, would have accepted Niles offer immediately. Without a care or a second thought.

Except Leo's different than the rest of them. "It's alright. I can handle him." He assures Nile. "I'll put him in his place if I have to."

Nile chuckles at this smiling. "Oh I'm sure you will. If you do have to put him in his place or anything I can always drag him out. If I'm here that is." He pats Leo's shoulder.

"What time even is it?" Leo inquires as Nile pulls his hand away.

"Early morning." Nile admits to Leo. "That's okay though. Did you get enough rest? I've been waiting for these for so long. I thought we'd never get them." He looks to the eggs before looking back to Leo. "But I know that you need to be good to take care of them until they're big enough to train."

"I'm fine." Leo assures Nile. "I feel rested enough. I just want to stay here though."

"Of course. You're not going on patrols, hunting or anything. You can walk around town if you want as long as those eggs are taken care of by someone. I don't want anything to happen to you." Nile tells Leo with a commanding tone.

"I know." Leo tells him which does seem to please Nile.

"Good. I'll get you some breakfast if you're hungry. You can focus on taking care of your eggs." Nile offers to which Leo nods his head actually feeling his stomach beg for food. He heads off with that to get Leo the promised food. He can be heard telling Rain that things should be good so she can leave now. He also does thank her for her help during this.

Leo ignores it knowing it's none of his concern. He lays his head down beside his eggs. "Just a little longer." He whispers to his eggs. "Then well be in a happier place. Don't let that rush you. Hatch whenever you want to." He gently nuzzles each egg making sure to not even scratch them. He pulls back when done smiling softly to himself.

Elsewhere Raph enters the med bay.

"Oh! Raph!" Flower greets with a friendly smile. "What brings you in today? Are you feeling sick or anything?"

"No. I just kind of had a question." Raph admits to which Flower invites him over to two chairs. He sits down in one as she sits in the other.

"What would you like to ask?" Flower blinks at him ready to help with whatever he wants to ask. "I have a feeling that this isn't to ask me out on a date."

"Nope it isn't." Raph confirms to her and she doesn't look hurt by it. He brushes it off not really caring since he already has a mate that he's happy with. "I just kind of got curious seeing Mikey and Donnie together. So if lets say they were to have kids. When the eggs do hatch do they sleep with their parents or do they sleep in a separate bed? No I don't think Mikeys pregnant. Hell I'm not even sure they've gone that far yet. I just kind of got curious and it won't leave my fucking mind. I had nothing to do right now anyways. Don't patrol until after noon time passes." He is kind of glad that he can use his brothers as an excuse to ask this. He is actually trying to figure out what to do for sure when Leo comes.

"You do care about your brothers. So I understand that there will be curiosity for whenever they do decide to do it." Flower assures him with an amused chuckle. "Well for the first bit it'll be good for them to be close to their parents. That is until they are a little bigger. I'd estimate within the first three months after hatching. Around them they'll get their own beds. It depends on each situation with the children. Just something with railings obviously so they can't fall, plus the bed has to be bare. Also the parents bed needs to have little on it, only what is needed, just in case. It's for safety because the babies will try to grab things or suffocate even on stuffed animals if by falling asleep on them face first. If it's not noticed of course. If they do end up getting to that point then we can always discuss it more. I'm assuming you'd want to help them however you can."

"Yeah. Thanks for at least letting me be able to turn my focus to what I am going to be doing today." Raph gets to his feet. He can always look for more information for him and his mate when his mate is with him. He decides that he is going to make double sure that his bed is ready so it's safe for the babies.

"No problem. Good luck out there." Flower assures him as Raph leaves.

Raph goes home and looks over his bed. He spots his teddy bear. He picks it up. "Sorry bud. But soon you won't be allowed on the bed. Gotta keep the kids safe." He places the bear on his nightstand instead so it sits there. He'll let himself get used to not having the bear in his bed before his mate arrives. He has at least two months from now to do just that after all.

"Raph!" Donnie suddenly calls for him so he leaves his room. He sounds worried. He is standing by the front door.

"What is it?" Raph questions his brother.

"One of the early morning hunters came back and reported a rogue mutant that attacked. Says that the mutant is in our territory. Splinter wants to see you." Donnie explains to which Raph heads over following the other to Splinter by the edge of town.

Splinter has gathered a few other strong mutants of the group. He turns as Donnie and Raph join. "Okay that's everyone."

Raph notes that it seems Donnie is joining but not Mikey. He supposes that it is good as Mikey is the weakest out of the three brothers.

"This mutant is described to be a brown bear mutant. So I want everyone to be extremely careful." Splinter begins the meeting about this. "This mutant was very aggressive to and badly hurt Spark." He mentions the name of a lynx mutant.

Spark is actually small despite being a lynx. He was the runt compared to his brother. He is also weaker so he tends to hunt more than join in on fights or patrols.

"So expect an attack as soon as you're spotted. Use the moments you're not seen to get into strategic positions. Donnie will be in charge of that. He'll also be in charge of getting anyone who gets too badly hurt out of the fight. We have to chase this bear mutant out as far as possible. Make sure that he won't return." Splinter tells them. "Donnie will also call a retreat if that ends up being needed. I doubt it as you all should be able to chase one mutant out together. If no retreat is needed then I will be putting Raph in charge of calling off the chase. Do not go too far in chasing this mutant out. Still be able to get back quickly if you do cross the border. Donnie you will not join the chase. If there's no one badly injured to watch over then just watch. Make sure they don't go too far, your first priority is the injured. After the mutant is chased off everyone has to help Donnie get the injured home. Does everyone understand?"

The group give Splinter nods to show that they do indeed understand this.

"Good. The mutant was last seen in the part of the territory just a little from the tiny cave. The one just a little ways in from the border with Pines group." Splinter mentions the other neighbour group on the opposite side of the border with Niles group.

Pine is a large squirrel mutant. He may be a squirrel though he can be tough when needed. He is just a nicer neighbour than Nile is.

Between Nile and Pines territory is a territory belonging to, the only current female leader, Olivia who is a black and white tegu.

There used to be another female leader a few years ago. She is no longer here and Pine was the one who succeeded her.

Raph had heard talk after some heard some talk of it from across the border; as some in Pines group side were talking about it thinking no one was listening.

Really that would be the only way that they would have really found out. Unless there was a dispute at the border, which doesn't happen often at least compared to Niles border. So at least they knew that there was a change of leadership. Not that they need to know more than that anyways.

It's Pines group's business to know about the details of it.

"Good luck to all of you." Splinter lets them head off so the group does just that.

Raph walks along with Donnie as they make their way carefully towards the last spot.

"Do you think the mutant is still there?" Donnie questions as his eyes flicker to Raph.

Raph hums softly in thought. "I doubt it. Spark got away. It's not clear if it's because he was allowed to go or he managed to escape. That mutant could have chased him or wandered elsewhere by now. Unless he found some prey he's feasting on."

Donnie nods and turns back to where they're going. "Yeah. You're probably right." He agrees and they quiet down for now.

They arrive to the location where they stay hidden to take in the area.

There's blood on the ground though no sign of the bear mutant.

The group head out and check out the area to determine where the mutant went.

Raph notices some tracks that look like a bears that shows him that it possibly came from Pines border. He looks over the tracks then glances up hearing a shout.

They hurry that way only to stop at seeing a patrol standing back from the border.

Pines group patrol is staying on their side making sure to not be too close. They clearly don't want to be threatening.

"What is it?" Raph inquires to them wondering if they saw anything.

Pines groups territory is more open with fewer trees. The territory tends to have tall grass rather than bushes and trees. It does have patches of trees just less trees.

"We just wanted to warn you. We found some bear tracks heading into your territory. Looks massive." A lioness explains her tail flicking. "I'd prefer to not be responsible for someone potentially dying. No matter if we're different groups or not."

"We know that a bear mutant is in our territory." Donnie tells her. "Do you know anything about this mutant?"

"No. We don't have any bear mutants who belong to our group." The lioness explains. "Whoever it is likely doesn't belong to any group."

"Thank you." Raph nods. He's seen this lioness on this border before. He has noticed a twinkle of compassion in her eyes. So he's not surprised that she wanted to make sure they were aware of the danger. "Just keep an eye on your side. We don't know where this mutant wandered to since last being seen."

The lioness nods her head. "We haven't seen any tracks leading back into our territory if that helps." She turns and leads the patrol away as if to head back home for now.

Raph is kind of glad that Pines group is a nicer group. He's sure Niles group, other than Leo, would just brush it off as Splinters group's problem. He also doesn't have to worry about this patrol using this situation to their advantage to try to take land. He really does like Pines group out of the two neighbours they have, for obvious reasons. He turns as they head back to the spot to try to figure out where the bear mutant has gone.

They arrive to the spot and hear an unfamiliar rumbling growl from deeper in their territory. They head that way staying low as they sneak through their territory. They stop as soon as they find the bear mutant tearing into a rabbit he had caught.

The bear mutant only has a pair of black shorts on. He doesn't seem that concerned about much almost as him being alone lead him to be more bear like than mutant like.

Donnie shifts forward to take over from here. "Okay." He whispers as quietly as he can. "We should try to attack from this side. But spread out so he can't just swipe everyone back all at once. We'll try to drive him that way to get out of our territory." He points in the direction careful to not reveal them. "I'll set up camp there for those that can't fight anymore." He nods to a spot that is in the direction leading further into the territory.

There's quite a few bushes there so it makes it a good hiding spot.

"Raph. You give the charge signal. I'll watch from the spot I pointed out." Donnie finishes explaining.

"Okay." Raph agrees quietly as everyone seems to like the plan. "Let's do this thing." He takes out his sais as everyone moves. He takes up a middle position behind one bush, then glances around to wait for everyone to be ready. He also sees Donnie get safely into his position.

The bear mutant doesn't seem to notice them yet. He seems much too busy finishing off the rabbit he caught.

Once everyone is in position Raph turns to the bear mutant clutching his sais. "Go!" He calls charging as the others do the same except for Donnie of course.

The bear looks up with a bloody muzzle and snarls at them. He shifts onto his hind legs looking massive. He swipes at Raph who responds by stabbing his sai into the bears arm after dodging. He roars in pain and before he can take another swipe the tiger mutant named Rodeo grabs onto the other arm.

Rodeo snarls sinking his claws into the bears arm.

The bear roars swinging around as others land attacks. He got his arm off of Raphs sai so he swipes it at some of the attackers. He lands a good scratch on Moonlight who is a badger mutant.

Moonlight hisses looking to be okay. She snaps her teeth at the retreating arm.

She misses so her teeth snap onto air. Her intent is still clear though.

The bear mutant throws his body with a power that does throw some attackers off. He then slams his claws into Rodeo over and over as the other clings on.

Raph leaps for the bears shoulder only to get batted away by said bear mid air. He tries to land on his feet just barely managing to not land against a tree.

Rodeo is holding on pretty good despite the numerous bleeding claw marks. He finally lets go and backs off. He looks about to rejoin the fight despite his many wounds.

Donnie hurries over moving in front of Rodeo. "Move back." He orders as Raph leaps onto the bears back to keep him from attacking Donnie. "We're not losing anyone today if I can help it." He ushers Rodeo away to the safety of the bushes.

Rodeo does look pretty badly hurt despite that he likes to pretend he's fine. He doesn't argue knowing that it could get Donnie hurt.

The bear swings at those that are staying getting some more hits in. His claws are doing great damage to those in the front that he hits, as those he hits jump away to not get too badly damaged. He also reaches back swiping at Raph a little clumsily over his shoulder. He only scratches Raphs arms and shoulders a little. He can't get a good angle to do real bad damage.

Midnight snaps her teeth into the bears leg trying to be able to knock the bear down.

Midnight is soon helped out by Sparks larger brother who is named Rusty.

Together the two yank up the bears leg causing the bear to fall backwards.

Raph is quick to jump off of the bears back as the bear crashes to the ground. He along with the others leap on top of the bear who roars.

The bear swipes his claws digging them into the nearest which happens to be Crow.

Crow is a Maine coon black house cat so he is rather large. He takes the hit pretty well even as his shoulder bleeds pretty bad when the claws tear him open. He digs his own claws into the bears arms with a warning hiss at the enemy.

The others are also giving the bear some wounds to try to make the enemy give up.

The bear may be big and strong however he is outnumbered.

It is good that Splinter picked strong members, as this could have gone very wrong otherwise.

Raph slams his sai into the bears other shoulder then puts his other one at the bears throat. "You have your chance. Leave our groups territory and never come back! We have numerous others who will also attack you. Consider this your chance to get out of this alive." He growls having been taught by Splinter to never kill unless he has to.

It is something Splinter insists is taught to everyone.

Raph narrows his eyes in warning at the bear mutant who huffs at him.

"Fine. It seems it wasn't that pathetic mutants territory after all." The bear growls at this. "I have half a mind to kill you right now." He narrows his eyes as Raph presses the sai a little harder against his throat. "Consider yourselves lucky. I would have torn you all to shreds if you didn't get so lucky in this fight." He shifts as if trying to get away. He seems to know that against an entire group he'd have less of a chance of winning.

"Let go." Raph orders and they all get off.

They stand so the bear can only start running in the direction they want him to go.

The bear snarls at them before turning and running that way.

Raph notices Crow wince as his shoulder looks pretty bad. He isn't sure if Crow will be able to properly use that shoulder again. He can see Donnie coming over, probably having noticed how bad the wound is. "Stay here." He orders Crow then joins the rest in chasing off the bear mutant from their territory.

The bear mutant growls at them while being chased. He keeps going though as he can tell that this group means business about this. He crosses the border and Raph leads the way to follow to chase him away for good. "You fuckers! If I ever end up back here I'll kill you all one by one!"

"You return and you won't be given such mercy!" Raph retorts back to try to keep that bear mutant from returning. "You'd better remember that!" He notices that they have even gone past, though not through, the area he would meet Leo. He'll call off the chase once they go a little further.

They keep going ready to fight if the bear changes his mind.

The bear keeps going heading up a hill then disappearing over the other side.

"That's enough!" Raph tells them and they all slow to a stop. He watches to make sure that the bear doesn't try to come back. He sees no sign of the bear even as he can't see over the hill. "Don't ever come back!" He shouts then turns to lead the way back.

Everyone is alert for an attack from behind. They get back to their territory with no other sign of the bear mutant. They go to where they left the injured and Donnie.

Raph approaches Donnie who is looking worriedly at Crows arm. "Let's get him back so the medics can look at him." He suggests to which Donnie turns to Raph.

Before Donnie can say anything it is Crow who speaks up. "I can't feel my entire arm!" He sounds worried at this.

"The medics will look at you and help you. Just calm down. Whatever happens everyone knows that you're a good strong member. Okay?" Raph tries to calm the cat down knowing that the other prides himself on being the strongest house cat mutant. "Think of your mate and kids. They're waiting for you to make it back alive. You're bleeding badly so we need to move."

Crow nods to this and leans on Raph on his not as injured side.

Rodeo walks out and though Donnie walks with him he seems ok enough to walk. His fur shows so much blood from his wounds. He was probably lucky Donnie pulled him out when he did.

They make it back where Splinter is waiting with medics.

The medics hurry over to check on Rodeo and Crow first.

"I can't feel my arm at all." Crow tells the medics.

"Don't worry." Flower tells Crow with a gentle smile. "Us medics will do everything we can for you."

Raph lets two medics lead Crow away then turns as Flower checks on his wounds. Out of the corner of his eye he can see Splinter coming over as well. "Do you think Crows arm can be saved?" He has a feeling he already knows the answer.

Flowers look of sadness at him is all the answer that he needs. She looks back to finish checking Raphs wounds.

Raph has a feeling that with Crows mate, who is a medic, at Crows side likely already by now then he should be okay. He also knows that even missing an arm everyone will support Crow through this. He turns seeing that Donnie is talking to Splinter as they let the medics work. He turns back to Flower when she speaks.

"You should be okay. We'll have to bandage them. They'll take some time to heal." Flower informs Raph who nods his head.

"Go check the others. Make sure they're okay. I'll go to the med building after talking to Splinter."

Flower nods then goes to help the other medics that are there.

Raph turns then joins his brother to speak with Splinter.

"They did chase that mutant away. He seemed to have potentially gone a little more to his bear side. He could have been close to turning completely feral." Donnie tells Splinter and the two turn as Raph joins.

"We chased him well out of our territory. He'll probably be going to find some place else to live. He seemed to think that this was Sparks territory. Only Sparks. Not a group."

"Well I am just glad that we haven't lost anyone." Splinter tells them. "Raph go get your wounds treated. I'll make sure patrols keep an eye out just in case."

Raph nods then heads to go do just that. He is allowed to not have to stay in the med building since he is okay. He does return that evening to visit Crow. He finds that there is a female brown with white paws tabby house cat at the others side.

The female is actually Crows mate who likely left their kids with another mother. She does that as needed as she does still try to help with the medical work. Her kids are actually getting close to training age, though she does still make sure to spend time with them. She turns as Raph approaches. "Heh Raphael." She greets kindly giving a wave of her tail in greeting.

"Hello Maya." Raph greets then glances to Crow.

Crows missing arm is bandaged as now just a stub stopping at where he was injured. He slightly glances up then raises his head.

"How are you doing?" Raph inquires to Crow who takes a breath.

"I'll live." Crow informs Raph as Maya gently strokes her mates cheek. "I won't let this hold me back. I'll be back on patrols before you know it." He boasts to which Raph chuckles.

"Right. Good to see you're in better spirits than before." Raph mentions earning an eye roll from Crow.

"Why did you come here? To cheer me up?" Crow questions smirking slightly at Raph. "Thats not really like you to do such a thing."

"Eh. I kinda wanted to see what you looked like now." Raph shrugs a little. He had been curious about how Crow was doing. He is glad that he has nothing to worry about. He just felt like he probably should just check. He also did wanna see how much of Crows arm could be saved too. So he figured why not.

"Nice cover up." Crow teases Raph who rolls his eyes as if saying 'believe what you want'. "But yeah it's still me. Minus my arm. Still the same old me. And don't you forget it." He hisses lightly not as an actual threat.

Raph nods his head. "Yup. Same old you." He confirms and is about to say bye to the two when Maya speaks up.

"If you're not busy Raph could you do me a favour?"

"Sure." Raph agrees wondering what it could be.

"Could you see if Autumn can bring our kits here? They're at her place while I came to help the injured of the fight." Maya requests which does surprise Raph. Her amber gaze is so gentle as if she knows it'll all be alright.

"You sure?" Raph sees Maya nod her head.

"They should know why Crow won't be home for a bit. And that he'll look slightly different."

"Not that different." Crow affectionately adds at his mate.

Raph gives a soft nod as he decides that it is their children. "Well alright." He heads off going to Autumns place which isn't far. He knocks on the door to which the otter mutant answers. "Hey. Maya wants to know if you can bring the kits to see Crow and her. So they can explain things."

"I can take them." Autumns husband Lou steps out. He offers a smile to Raph. "I'm sure it'll be fine. The kids are pretty decently big now. Plus by next year they'll be seeing battles of their own as they begin training."

"Alright. I'll stay with our kids." Autumn shares a quick kiss with her husband. She does have this look in her eyes of slight worry since the three are technically kids.

"Don't worry. It truly will be alright. Maya and Crow know what they're doing. It's not the first time Crow came back injured." Lou extra assures her. He even has an arm wrapped around his wife's waist. He smiles at her as she smiles back.

Raph smiles softly as he remembers holding Leo in his arms.

The two share another kiss then Lou heads off after that.

Autumn watches her husband go before turning back to Raph. Her smile gentle and still friendly.

"Ill get going. I should probably check if I need to go on evening patrol or not." Raph mentions starting to turn away. He really has no reason to stick around anyways.

"Alright. Thank you for bringing us the message." Autumn mentions to which Raph nods before heading away. She closes the door as he walks away.

Raph glances to the evening sky bathed in the setting suns orange glow. He wonders what his and Leo's kids will look like. He thinks that I'd be cute if at least one looked like Leo. His heart warms as he imagines maybe two baby turtles nestled against Leo. He can imagine his mate looking at their children with love. He feels a happiness shoot through him knowing he just has to wait to be able to see it for himself. He lowers his head and with a smile on his face as he heads to check if he should join a patrol.
