A/N: I'll likely stop posting on this website soon, but if you like my work you can find me on the Archive under the same name! :)
"The rules of the game," Jenny read out, "You pick a name from the box and act like the person written on there. Everyone can ask one question to try and figure out who you are. Who wants to go first?"
Horace and Gilan looked at each other, as Will spoke up. "I will," he said eagerly. They passed the box lap to lap around the circle of chairs until it reached Will.
He stuck his hand in the box, and rummaged for a bit before he pulled out a slip of paper. When he read it,
Will got the look in his eyes of someone who has been waiting his whole life for this moment. He put the box beneath his chair.
He stood up and folded his arms, furrowed his brow and hid beneath his cloak.
Gilan immediately burst out laughing. Halt frowned.
"Alright!" Chirped Jenny, "First question. Where did you grow up?"
Will put on his deepest scowl and gave a gruff sigh, but otherwise said nothing. The whole room hung on his silence, waiting.
Jenny looked awkward and cleared her throat.
Will raised one eyebrow, "Got a cold?" he grumbled.
"Where did you… grow up?" Jenny repeated with a lop-sided smile.
"Why do these kids ask so many questions?" He asked the air, but still didn't answer.
Gilan howled with laughter.
Jenny shook her head and gave up. Horace went next.
"Do you like coffee?" He asked, having clearly picked up on the hints.
Will perked up like a dog, but kept the scowl on his face and just grunted in response.
"Is that yes?" Horace ventured.
"That's two questions." Will grunted.
Horace snorted.
"Gilan, would you like a turn?" Jenny giggled, but Gilan was on the ground, bracing himself against the chair so he could use his whole body to laugh.
"How are your knees?" he finally wheezed out.
Will broke character and had to hide further in his cloak to laugh.
Halt scowled at them both.
"Very funny," he grumbled.
All eyes turned to Halt. He stood up and folded his arms, furrowed his brow and hid beneath his cloak.
