Pomni let out another slow drawn breath, a shutter running up her core as she nervously tapped her fingers against the table. She shook a slight dizzy spell from her head, static subsiding before her eyes darted to take account of their surrounding. She was at the impromptu dinner table, surrounded by her new... friends? Discretely glancing, she re-examined each character, each one of them looking like they were designed to be a preschool mascot, including herself. She looked back down at her new self, shuttering at her unnaturally pale and plasticy looking skin. Her mind drew back to that moment she got a full glimpse of herself in the mirror... She shook off the thought, not right now! You've done enough freaking out! You can still figure this out, it's not hopeless!

As she focused on calming her nerves, the earlier boredom of this so called dinner crept back. She bit her lip, slowly gnawing as she glanced at the rest of her... companions? All who seemed to be either engaged in their own daydreaming episodes, or busy engaging in conversations about... well... probably pretty meaningless topics. She herself had been quiet the whole "dinner". Her right eye twitched, as a momentary snarl etched her face, why were they all so okay with this? Why wasn't anyone trying to figure out a way out?! The memory of an abstracted Kaufmo tore across her mind, stilling the anxious swaying of her suspended feet as her breath hitched at the imagery.

Shaking herself from her stupor, she glanced back down at her plate, gazing upon the so-called "food" on her plate... It looked fake, like a pile of dog and baby toys made of rubber. Over the last hour and a half, she'd tried to nibble some of it... but it didn't taste right, nor was she hungry. She winced, it wasn't bad... but it was weird! The flavor was artificial and the texture was just wrong! Like rubbery processed cheese. "Uhg…" She grimaced, as imaginary rubber food toys danced around her head. Further grimacing at the odd train of thoughts, she pushed the almost untouched plate forward. She was done, If she wasn't hungry, what was the point?

She felt a nudge to her left, drawing her attention to the tall purple rabbit sitting next to her. "You've been awful quiet." He snarked, fingers now drumming lazily as he leaned on his other hand, smug look seeming to grow.

She slowly leaned away from his intense gaze. "What?"

His big yellow eyes and unwavering grin grew further, as if to playfully sneer at her. "I don't think I've heard you say a peep since we sat down." He gestured up and down the table. "You know this whole shindig's practically for you short stuff, but if you don't want it..." The smile shrank as if he was pursing his lips, brow raising as a hand reached to poke at her abandoned plate.

An annoyed pout crept over her face, eye twitching as she sunk further into her seat. "I'm not hungry." She deflected, eyes boring into him, very aware of his continued scooches closer to her. "You're getting in my personal bubble." She whispered. "Please stop."

"Heh." He scoffed, ignoring her request. "What, are you five?" He picked up a rubbery looking carrot off her plate, causing the girl's brow to furrow, her slight frown deepening.

With a huff, something broke in her. "You know what? No!" She barked, steam practically bellowing from her ears. Her offended glare snapped to the amused looking rabbit. "You very well know I'm not five!" Her eyes snapped back to his hand holding her unwanted but stolen carrot. "I'm…" She paused. "uhh…" Her brow furrowed in confusion. "Wait a minute?!" She panicked, a tremor reverberating up her spine, shoulders stiffening as her hands grasped the ass ears of her jester cap "Oh C%^!, how old am I?"

"Five." The purple rabbit lazily quipped, catching the short jester's glare as he used her carrot to poke the baked potato on her discarded plate.

"I'm not F%^#ING FIVE! WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO BULLY ME!?" She loudly hissed, everyone now silent, eyes wide and looking at her. She shook in place as her vision momentarily fuzzed, eyes darting to and fro. "UHHH! D-don't w-worry! It's nothing!" She wavered. "S-sorry! Just sorry! Heh, heh… eh, ummm." Her nervous mumbling died down as another short tremor shot up her spine. She seemed to dig deeper into her chair, further pulling the ears of her cap as if an attempt to hide her face.

Jax tapped the stolen carrot against the table, making a few thumps before giving it a disinterested look, eyes sweeping to look at Gangle. With an effortless flick, it went sailing over Pomni's wide eyes only to hit the ribbon girl's sad mask, causing the tragic girl to gasp, tears pricking her mask as she raised one of her thin hands in defense. "Whoops." The blase rabbit sighed, leaning deeper into his wrist against the table.

"Jax!" She whimpered. "P-please! don't…" the tragic girl sniffed.

The rabbit gave a half yawn, eyes resting half lidded. "She did it." His thumb pointed at the wide eyed jester beside him, Pomni just giving him a half bewildered look.

"Please! Stop!" She quietly hissed, hands pulling harder on her cap's ears as her breath hitched, starting to breath faster. Her wide eyes did a double blink before they gave another twitch. "Why are you doing this, you know that isn't true!" She whined, the pricks of anxiety built in her chest. A weight seeming to close around her, like being wrapped in a heavy blanket of pins and needles. Throughout all this, her ankle was violently shaking, her legs too short to bob on the floor to release the pent up energy.

Jax smiled. "What's wrong short stuff, can't take a joke?" He smirked as Gangle muttered something about being ignored. He gently elbowed Pomni, Trying to get her attention but only causing her to stiffen further. "Hey, I'm talking to you. Gonna answer me, clown?"

"Please… stop…" Pomni croaked, almost too quiet for anyone to hear.

Ragatha frowned at the exchange, mouth tugging further as she let out a huff. "Stop it Jax, leave the new girl alone! You know its been a horrific first day for her! Its been an awful day for all of us!" She chided, sharply standing as she stomped over to the lax purple lapin.

He gave her an up down look. "Wow, what's got you on the rag, Rags?"

The red headed ragdoll's eyes flared as she swatted his shoulder hard, causing his eyes to bug at the contact. "Don't you DARE joke about THAT!" She screamed, moving in again to chop the crown of his head twice, causing the rabbit to yelp and grab his sensitive ears.

"What the F^$# is your problem Ragatha?" He glared. "You know those are sensitive!" He squinted at her, lip almost furrowing. "You'd really risk Cain putting you in time out for-"

"NOT TONIGHT!" The red head steamed. "I've had it up to here with you, Jax!" She gestured, knife chopping at her neck before violently pointing to both Gangle and Pomni. "Now, apologize! To both of them! NOW!"

The ribbon girl shrank back a bit, the spotlight of attention getting to her. "Oh, I um.. uh..." Her delicate dovetail hands wrote. "That's okay Ragatha. It was probably an accident anyways… lets just all sit down and pretend nothing happened before Cain comes back and we get in trouble."

Ragatha's non button eye twitched before rolling, her shoulders sagging. "No! I want him to apologize!"

Zooble scoffed. "Why, it won't mean anything coming from him."

Jax smiled. "See? all's well that ends whatever. Lets not risk Cain's wrath, no rough housing." He said definitively before his smile dropped into an annoyed glare. "Don't touch my ears Raggy. That's my no zone, end of story."

The red head stomped in frustration. "No! That's not the point!" She yelled, head turning up as her fists found them selves shaking at her sides. "GRR! I feel like I'm dealing with an absolute child sometimes!"

The rabbit scoffed. "You're one to talk, you're the one swatting people." His glare deepened. "Look around you." He gestured. "Where are we?" He twirled a hand as he leaned back. "What's that phrase, you are what you eat. Well, we've been eating toys for years, some of us." He blew an imaginary strand of hair from his face. "I may be an adult, but this place gets to ya, we've all lived it."

Zooble leaned forward, slowly glaring at the purple prankster. "That doesn't mean we have to act like children." Her eyes narrowed at the rabbit. "What are you, FIVE?"

He gave the odd shape girl a blase shrug in response. "I don't care."

Gangle slowly raised a ribbon. "I'm 26, I remember that at least."

Jax flicked a pea at her, causing her to yelp and shrink back. "Whoops." He uttered, the indifference bleeding.

Ragatha grabbed her locks as the frustration built, tugging as she stomped in a circle, on the verge of her own juvenile meltdown. "Can't we just have ONE NIGHT!" She screamed, causing everyone but Kinger to stare at her. "Today's been awful! First we get a new friend which I guess that's okay, but then we lose Kaufmo!" Her expression shattered. "He was the second oldest of us! Now I'M the second oldest of us! An important cornerstone to our little community and he stomped me!" She fretted. "NO indication he had an issue! He just held up in his room for a little longer then usual!" Her eye bugged as she grabbed for her hair again. "And then I get stomped and thrown around LIKE AN ACTUAL RAGDOLL!" Her tantrum continued. "Then I got glitched! Not only that but after the dust settled I was FORGOTTEN! GLITCHING FOR THAT LONG IS SO PAINFULL! AAAHHHH!" She yelled, pinpricks of digital tears began clipping at her eyes. "IT WAS SO D #N PAINFULL! I JUST WANT TO SCREAM!" She threw her hands back down to her side as she squared up the rabbit. "Maybe we could at least end the day on a good note! Look! we even have a nice meal!" She scolded as she put up a hand to pinch in front of her non button eye. "If you had anymore decency then this! JUST FOR ONCE!" She brought up both her hands, as if looking to the sky. "But nooo, we can't have that when you pull this C# P EVERY SINGLE DAY!" She said, stomping as her hands phantom choked in front of her.

The sound of a clattering chair sliced through the tension, silencing everyone as Pomni's anxiety ridden panic attack burst. "I'M SORRY RAGATHA!" She half wailed. "I'M SORRY I FORGOT YOU! I WASN'T SURE AND I SAW THE EXIT" She blubbered, sharply inhaling before continuing her now full on panic attack. "AND-AND I DIDN'T KEEP MY PROMISE WHEN YOU WERE HURT! AND-AND I QUESTIONED IF YOU WERE EVEN REAL BUT YOU ARE AND THAT MAKES THIS EVEN WORSE CUS NOW I'M A HORRIBLE PERSON!" She wailed before hiccuping. "AND-AND-AND-" She was now full blown hyperventilating, shivering on the spot as she cupped her head in her hands. Everyone's eyes glued to her, the jester's eyes landing on Ragatha's shocked expression.

Jax's eyes were wide, frustration melted from his visage as an uncomfortable feeling poked his phantom gut. Glancing at the hyperventilating girl in front of him, he gave a slight wince, sitting straight in his chair as his keen eye noticed a glitch momentarily appear on her hand. "Hm... uhh. You can calm down Pomni." He hesitated, watching the meltdown worsen. He gave a slight wince at the escalation; this was getting less fun, it was more... sad… He thought as the phantom feeling continued to flip his stomach. His cool demeanor returned as his expression flattened. "Calm down kid, fine." He tried to cut her off, raising his hands in mock surrender. "I'll cool it tonight…" He sighed. "crybabies." He muttered, shaking his head.

Ragatha broke from her stupor, swinging on the rabbit. "JAX!" She exasperated. "If you mean it, THEN MEAN IT!"

"I GOTTA GO!" Pomni bleated between torn breaths, darting down from her seat, tipping it as she tore away from their table into the now dimly lit play area surrounding them.

Ragatha spun to follow her. "Wait!" She skipped forward, almost tripping over Pomni's fallen seat as she tried to catch up. The older woman may of been taller, but that didn't seem to matter as the shorter girl had vanished, probably heading towards her room. She spun back to the table as she skipped backwards. "Zooble! Try and keep the peace!" She yelled as she ran after their newest member."

The triangle girl's head shook back and forth. "I should of left while I had the chance." She grumbled as she glanced at the leaving ragdoll. "No." She half shouted.

Gangle nervously tapped her ribbons against the table lip. "S-so what now?" She glanced between Kinger and Zooble before returning her attention to her dovetail hands. "I hope Pomni's going to be alright…" She seemed to curl up on herself, getting slightly smaller. "Should we head back? follow to make sure she's okay?" She looked up at the slowly dimming lights above them. "Isn't it almost lights out time a-anyways?"

Kinger seemed to give a little jump, twitching before he leaned forward, bug eyes unwavering. "Oh, hi Gangle. The mood lighting does seem to be dimming, or my eyes are getting worse." He leaned closer, eyes boring into the nervous girl. "Could you pass the salt?"

Jax gave a sigh, sliding the condiment down the table towards the purple robed chess piece. "Here, old timer, knock yourself out." He got up, stretching before resting his hands in his pockets, stance lazy. "Later dweebs."

Zooble scoffed as she poked her fake vegetables. "You're an $$ hole, you know that?"

He paused, step hitching as he spun on the jagged girl. "Takes one to know one, am I right?" He deflected. "Or am I right?" His eyes narrowed at the shape girl. "Remember puzzle pieces, we're not friends." He gave her double finger guns, double clicking with his tongue as he winked... then gave her a censored middle finger. "Niiice chat though, but I'm gonna go make sure I don't abstract, I recommend ya'll do the same." He spun on his heels, making his way through the play structures back to his room.

" $$ WIPE!" She shouted, causing him to sneer over his shoulder before dismissing the insult.

He mumbled to himself as he brought a hand up like a puppet. "Meh meh meh." His hand mocked. "Psh…" He slumped, kicking an imaginary can. "You try spending 1,277 days in this junk heap; but really, who's counting." His eyes narrowed. "You're probably not even real, none of this is." He grumbled, this time taking his ire out on a real can by kicking a nearby colorful ball, rocketing it into the dimming room. "Stupid f*#$in brain, why'd you gotta come up with this hell hole?" He paused, collecting himself with a deep breath. "Don't worry, nothing to fret about. Come on Jax, just because you got a few screws loose don't mean you can't come out on top." He forced a deep breath, pushing down the imaginary tension with his hands to ground himself. "They're just figments of your imagination, it don't matter at all... Just put up with em." He let out a scoffed laugh as he continued the way back to his room. "You better not be cracking..." He smiled to himself. "Really had me going with that routine there Jax, could'a thought you were going soft for a second when shortie blew up." He shook his head, clearing the thoughts as he continued to explain everything away. His smile slowly falling as the unpleasant thoughts started up again. "Stupid brain, stupid coma." He silently seethed. "They better not pull that F! #in plug on me..."

*STATIC*

Pomni's quick breathing slowed, her feet still scurrying as she entered the still destroyed halls of the bedrooms, eyes darting from door to door as her hands wrote nervously. "Why's everything still busted?" She wondered before shaking her head. "Erg! Never mind. Where's mine? I had one, right?" She second guessed herself. "Where was it?" Her eyes scanned the portraits, finding more character's crossed off and more blank manikins before her eyes landed on her sad face. A dramatic picture of her, for sure… but a sad clown? Was she supposed to be a sad clown? She grimaced at the thought. Was she Pomni? Was that really the way she looked before all this? No, Pomni didn't even have a nose. The thought process made her head start filling with static, she didn't want to think about this right now, she needed to calm down. She walked forward, grabbing the knob to push into her new room... but the door didn't move and her head slammed into the fake hardwood. "Grahh-hic!" She sniffed, her cheeks flushing beat red from the clumsy mistake, her whole body starting to feel hot from a mix of embarrassment, stress and possibly a bit of dread and shame. "AAAAHHHHH!" She screamed at the final straw, camel's back broken indeed. She twisted the knob, yanking it open and beginning to slam the door, over and over again as she had finally found an outlet.

*SLAM*

*SLAM*

*SLAM*

With each slam her head felt more clear, her eyes slammed shut as the tears started. "STUPID F^#"

"Pomni?" A concerned voice cut in, causing the short girl to almost jump out of her skin as she sharply turned to see the taller ragdoll worriedly approaching.

Pomni's eyes widened as her pupils shrunk. "Uh…" She quickly shook her head, her eyes crushing closed as the exhaustion built to a crescendo, her shoulders sagging as she let out a strained sound. "Um… H-hi Ragatha…" She leaned her forehead against the open door as her fist clenched the knob for support. "I-" She swallowed to clear her throat. "I'm sorry about–"

The red heads worried frown broke, a half fake smile drawing tight before relaxing to look genuine. "It's okay!" The perky red head interrupted, her hand waving dismissively. The lighting around them now noticeably darker. "Not like that's the first time something like that happened. Totally understandable." She drawled out, ending with a half fake giggle. "It's your first day and I don't know how long I second guessed myself here." She shrugged before kneeling to get eye level with the shorter girl. "But its good to work on grounding yourself in this new situation! I don't want my new friend to–"

"I'm a horrible person!" Pomni cut off, pupils dilating as the waterworks started clipping her eyes again, slowly working herself up into a coughing sniveling fit, looking like a kicked puppy. "I-if this is r-real… If… YOU'RE real… then I abandoned someone to die… all for a fake…" She squinted, head tilting back as a strained look manifested. "L-level?" Her expression grew half manic. "Cain made a fake exit level to get our hopes up?" She violently shook the thought from her head before deflating, letting go of the door knob and slumping as the abused door was left shortly ajar.

Ragatha bit her lip as she shifted her weight. "Hey…" She soothed, getting Pomni's attention. "It's alright. I said things are fine and again, I…" She paused before her head shook, as if to push past something. "I don't blame you, I can't blame you…" She shook her head. "I mean, this is all crazy but this is our life... sooo we just gotta get used to it..." She gently smiled again. "And look!" She gestured to herself. "It worked out."

Pomni's eyes darted up and down the other girls body before landing on her face. "I…"

Ragatha gently grabbed one of Pomni's hands as she smiled, gently rubbing the top of her glove. "All's forgiven." She genuinely smiled. "In fact, how about we start over." She retracted her hand, only to give a little flourish and offer the same hand in shake. "My name's Ragatha! Or it is now, but you know all that. Would you like to be my friend, Pomni?" Her smile glowed. "Even us old guard need new friends, what'da'ya say?"

Pomni wavered quickly wiping the remnants of the tears away. "I'd… yes!" She grabbed the girls offered hand with both of hers, swiftly shaking up and down. "Thank you so much, I'm so sorry!" She cried before retracting, hugging her queasy stomach, her legs on the verge of buckling. "I'm sorry, this is probably really awkward, but thank you for your kindness!" She shivered, eyes crushing closed as she continued to try and wipe the phantom tears while the queasiness subsided.

Ragatha gave a concerned frown as she watched the exhausted mess in front of her, remembering how isolated her first few days had felt here. "Pomni?" The taller girl asked, feeling a little nervous.

Pomni sniffed, slowly meeting her gaze. "Y-yeah?"

"Can... Can I give you a hug?" She nervously asked. "I remember my first few days here and-"

"Yes!" Pomni blurted before shrinking back in embarrassment. "I mean... I mean yeah..."

Ragatha opened her arms in gentle invite, giving a reassuring smile as the jester slowly approached. "It's alright, everything's going to be alright. We look out for each other and we don't have to be alone."

Pomni accepted the hug, her chin tucking over the other girl's shoulder. "T-thank you..." Her mind started racing, feeling guilty like she was acting like a little girl, was she a little girl? was she actually 5? No... that didn't feel right. Her eye twitched again, how old was she again? She stiffened, catching the ragdoll's attention.

"Is something wrong?" Ragatha asked.

Pomni hesitated before deciding to apologies again. "I'm sorry for abandoning you."

"Shh, your forgiven." The ragdoll replied, gently rubbing her back. "We all make mistakes... and when rubber meets the road, I'm not sure I'd be any different, but we can try."

"I will..." Pomni stared forward, trying to force off the thoughts of her missing memories, giving another hiccup from her cry. It felt off, like something was wrong but she couldn't place it... like it was more then memories that had been taken or forgotten... but... Her eyes closed, mental exhaustion starting to get to her. This could be figured out later.

The two stood there for a good 30 seconds before a purple head poked through the hallway door, a sly grin on his face. "What's going on here?" He mused, large strides taking him closer to the two separating girls. "Don't let me interrupt you, it was just getting mushy."

Ragatha gently stood, crossing her arms. "Haven't you done enough?" Her suspicious glare deepened. "What are you up to?"

"Going to bed." He pointed to his door, finger slowly pivoting towards Pomni's door. "Not my fault its right across the hall from hers."

The ragdoll gave a frustrated breath, her eye rolling. "Fine, you done?"

The rabbit gave a noncommittal shrug. "Kinda, not sure yet to be honest." He noticed the short girl still wavering and slightly sniffling. "You alright, half pint?" He asked, leaning down to her.

Pomni frowned at the less then flattery nickname before wiping her eyes with her elbow and squaring up. "Yeah. Things are fine."

The rabbit scoffed, eyes shutting as his brows rose. "Good, don't need another abstraction wrecking what little of the halls we got left."

Ragatha gave him an odd look. "You trying to scare her? You realize tonight's refresh will fix the damage."

Pomni looked from the surrounding damage to the taller girl. "Is that how it works?" She got nervous, glancing at the damage again. "Do I need to stay away? Could I get caught up in what fixes it?"

Jax scoffed before smugly smiling. "Nah, but watch out for the night monsters." He chuckled, Pomni's eyes widening in horror.

"Jax!" Ragatha cried. "Don't go telling her there's monsters!"

He rolled his eyes. "You don't know em like I do rags, those manikins can be iffy."

She shook her head. "They seem to be custodial workers-" Her mind halted as she realized something. "You asked if Pomni was doing okay." She dramatically pointed her accusing finger at the rabbit. "Do you actually care?"

He stiffened shocked and slightly annoyed before lazily shrugging off her accusation. "I don't know? Maybe it depends on my mood, I'm working on it." He said finitely. "You now my stance on this, none of this is real, so go off and play your little mind games with the others." He dismissed, eyes closed as he swept his fingers towards her. "Figments."

Ragatha face-palmed. "That's such a toxic coping mechanism... If I'm not real then why can I feel pain!"

"Says you." The rabbit twirled to open his door. "I'm done. Peace."

The heat seemed to build in Ragatha's cheeks. "Well if that crazy theory of yours is correct then what if I'm your conscious? You still plan on acting–"

*SLAM*

Pomni jumped at the loud sound of the exiting purple rabbit, quickly glancing between the slowly fuming older girl and the sly grinning rabbit plack on the offender's door. "What?" The jester asked.

"I think he likes you." They heard distantly down the hall. Kinger slowly trudging towards them with Zooble and Gangle behind him.

Ragatha scoffed, hand calking her hip. "You saw that?"

He paused in front of them. "A little, I think he likes you." The old chess piece repeated, blinking a few times.

She scoffed again. "Don't know where you get that idea, old timer." She sighed. "If he did, he's got a toxic way of showing it."

Pomni's mind latched on something that Ragatha had said. "Toxic coping mechanism?" She asked, catching the doll's attention.

Ragatha huffed. "You saw it, you've seen how he acts. He's rare to mention it, but if you dig at him enough... he thinks he's in a coma and this is the way he chooses to deal with it."

Gangle and Zooble met the half circle of characters. Gangle gave a little cough, clearing her throat. "I miss the old Jax."

Zooble scoffed. "You have rose tinted glasses. He's always been that bad."

Gangle shook her head. "No, shortly before you arrived. He once ask me how my morning was..." Her ribbon touched under her mask's chin. "I even played a game of tic tac toe with him once."

Ragatha pinched her non existent nose. "I think you may be digging there Gangle. I've been here longer then you, and that doesn't seem right."

Kinger nodded, ignoring Ragatha's remark. "That's beautiful Gangle, did you become good friends with this boy?"

The group gave kinger an odd look, Zooble coughing to get Kinger's attention, causing him to give a short jump and cry of surprise. "Kinger…" The puzzle piece girl squinted. "We're talking about Jax, remember?"

The kingly piece gave a slow but knowing nod. "Ah, yes..." His eyes seemed to glaze over, as if he was looking past them. "I liked him, terrible shame what happened to him, to be so young and stuck in a coma." He tisked, slowly shaking his head. "What a shame, what a rotten way to go." He tented his fingers.

Zooble did a facepalm. "He's not dead you…. grrr!" Her half lidded eyes dropped as her stance relaxed. "Alright old timer, stars are coming out." She pointed to the ceiling; sure enough, little glow in the dark stars seemed to coat the darkening walls towards the midnight looking ceiling. "let's get you to bed."

He broke his gaze from her directed point, nodding at her. "I didn't realize the time. Thanks Zooble." He put one of his floating hands to his head. "I am getting rather fatigued."

Zooble walked up, putting a hand at his shoulder, starting to guide him around the rubble in the hall. "Its all right Kinger. Lets get you tucked in."

He nodded at her in thanks. "That sounds like a good idea." His eyes seemed to widen as he paused. "Ah, I almost forgot." He turned to look at Pomni. "Penny! I have a bit of advice for you."

The jester just ignored the wrong name. "Umm, okay?"

He pointed to his head. "A healthy mind has routines, even if it seems like a useless task. We are creatures of habit."

"Course it does, old timer." Zooble grumbled as she started to push him, slowly limping with her mismatched legs as she gently nudged him. "Let's say night night."

Kinger nodded, giving little resistance. "Night night."

Gangle gave a small wave to the leaving two, before sighing and looking to Pomni. "I hope you're doing alright." She gave a worried smile. "T-things aren't so bad here, well… once you get used to it."

Pomnie strained to smile. "T-thanks." She grit before slumping, placing a palm to her head. "I'm sorry, it's just super frustrating." She grimaced. "All of this junk, I can't remember my name." Her lip quivered. "I can't even remember how old I am."

Ragatha put a hand on the shorter girl's shoulder, causing the jester to shortly stiffen at the contact before forcing herself to relax. "That's alright… okay it's NOT alright but you know what I mean…" She sounded so tired. "You might remember a bit, think on it… you'll probably remember at least a little." She squinted, eyes distant. "All of us have some figments of memories.

Gangle rose a ribbon to wave. "I'm 26." She whispered. "And I remember how to draw anime."

Ragatha gave a knowing nod. "And I think I'm 30." She pursed her lips, hand supporting her chin in a contemplative stance. "And I remember reading, writing, and a bit of drawing too. Whatever I used to do, it was creative."

Pomni looked between the two, a tired smile etching her face. "T-thanks." Before she glanced at her slightly ajar door, second guessing her original intent.

The two noticed the jester's pause, glancing at her door before Ragatha cleared her throat. "You okay Pomni?"

The shorter girl visibly gulped. "I'm... I originally just wanted to be alone…" Her eyes crushed closed as she let out a heavy breath. "This is going to sound stupid but I'm a little afraid of what's on the other side, Kaufmo's room… Uhh, nevermind."

Ragatha's mouth made a small o. "Ah, welp… obviously the marker work was him…" She grimaced. "He had a knack for painting… so if you're referring to some of those depressing pieces in his room…" Her wince grew. "Ya know… even for a sad clown... That probably should have been classified as a red flag…" Her non-button eye further narrowed, glancing at gangle. "You're not drawing stuff like that, are you?"

Gangle softly shook her head. "N-no! I like to draw happy stuff." She sniffed. "I didn't really get Kaufmo's jokes."

Ragatha noticed Pomni's hand restlessly grasping, her eyes boring into the door. "Hmm." She thought aloud. "Pomni?" She asked, catching the small girl's large eyes.

"Y-yeah?" She half whispered.

"Do you want us to accompany you, exploring your room?" The ragdoll asked, stepping forward as she gestured to the door knob.

Pomni looked unsure before swiftly nodding. "Alright. That seems like a good idea. Thank you."

Gangle's dovetail ribbons gave gentle claps as ragatha grasped for the knob. "It's alright Pomni." Ragatha smiled. "It won't be too bad." With a steady pull the ragdoll opened the door, pomni's eyes going wide at the sight.
