The embodiment of weirdness – Don't worry Nagamasa will have his own counter to "Enuma Elish" by the end of the game. And I'll be making reference to a certain baseball match from another anime.

Majikoi – Love Me Seriously - Kazuko Route

Daughter of Kawakami – Part 6

Bottom of the Ninth…

June 27th, 2009, Saturday (cont.)

"Yamato, I think I have an idea on how we can win… you willing to trust me?" I tell him.

"What is it?" I bring him over and whisper in his ear. "That's a big risk you know?" Yamato says skeptically.

"I know but if we're going to win, sometimes chances have to be taken. Besides pulling a victory from the jaws of defeat is always so satisfying." I reply.

"Alright, we'll do it. Everyone, over here quick." And so Yamato and I explain the strategy to everyone and despite some objections we get everyone to our way of thinking and everybody rallies together as we return to the line just in time for the second half.

The bell rings as Momoyo calls for the next half to start, "Okay, it's time for the second half! Class F batted at the end of the last half. So Class S will be up to bat first."

"Top of the third. First at bat is center fielder, Sakakibara."

"Yay, yay!" Koyuki playfully said as she made her way to home plate.

"Yuki, be serious. Please, pretty please be serious." Azumi reminded her.

"Hm, can I? Should I?" Koyuki seemed to playfully think on it.

"What's the big deal? I plan to show off too you know." Jun tries to motivate her.

"Hmm, okay. Then it's serious time." That seemed to motivate her as she took her bat and got ready. "Hey, hey. That ball's going boom!"

Miyako on the pitcher's plate looked to Gakuto, "Hmm. Should I throw it inside, Gakuto?"

Gakuto signals her, "Yeah, it's all part of the plan. Right at the corner."

"But should I go further inside?" Miyako asks.

"But that's cuttin' it close don't you think?" Gakuto countered.

"No, even more." Miyako clarified.

"What are you thinking? You trying to hit her!?" Gakuto was starting to get uncomfortable.

"We haven no idea what she's capable of. If I shake her up, her reaction might be one I've never seen before." Miyako says.

"I don't like this… Just don't hit her, okay?" Gakuto relents, but warns her.

Miyako nods softly, "I won't. Here I go."

"Miyako throws the first pitch, but it's too far inside!" Momoyo comments.

Touma realizing how close the ball is yells out, "Yuki!"

"I'm A-Okay!" Koyuki replies as she quickly darts back a step, then too a swing at the massively inside pitch. "Sraaahhh!"

It was a clean hit. Every person turned upwards toward the sky as they cheered.

"Holy hell… You're kiddin' me… If it weren't for keeping the plan in place, I'd be slack jawed." Gakuto watched as the ball soared.

"Home run!" Tesshin called as Koyuki began to run.

"Yay!" She cheered.

The stands erupted into applause.

"Damn, that girl's something else!" One spectator cheered.

"How can she hit a home run with that tiny body?" Asked another.

"Well then…" Miyako seemed surprised at the display.

"Hmm, hmm , hmhm…" Koyuki continued on her merry way making it back to home base.

"Yuki, make sure to absolutely step on each base." Touma reminded her.

" 'Kay! First and second base: Tag!" Koyuki finished her run as Inoue made his way up next.

"Hey, touch, touch!" Koyuki then slapped his head.

"Whoa, hey there. Don't go slapping people in the face." Inoue said a little annoyed.

"Baldie tagged!" Koyuki said playfully.

"And don't put it like that!" Inoue protested.

Inoue made it to home plate, but was surprised by Gakuto's neutral face, "Hmm, I thought they'd be panicking already… What's going on?"

Still he had to keep up with the plan of his class, "Well now, I'm sure that was a shock, but life has it's ups and downs."

"Yeah… just keep larping it up baldie." Gakuto said internally.

"I'll throw as low as possible… Mmnph!" Miyako threw her best.

"But right now, yours is about to be full of downs!" Inoue Jun mightily swung his bat. And once more soared into the sky like a missile.

"Home run!" Tesshin again announced.

"Mwahahaha! Then you can swing a bat, Jun!" Hideo cheered.

"Guh… it's getting hard to not say anything. But this is for the sake of Nagamasa and Yamato's strategy… Got to keep a straight face." Gakuto told himself again.

"Hmm… I didn't think that one would be that easy to hit." Miyako said to herself.

Jun then took his run across the diamond, "Like I said, stay positive. Besides your bad day's just begun."

"Well done, well done. Two in a row!" Kokoro cheered. "Though no one should be surprised by that."

"It's just like Nagamasa said, seems everyone in Class S is worth their stock. Especially Inoue, I expected strong from Hideo, but to see it from him is something else. Nagamasa… let's just hope that comeback of yours is good enough." Yamato thought to himself.

"Next batter, third baseman, Oshitari."

"Three to one. They could still catch up." Azumi said.

"Miyako, clam down. Take this one out at a time." Gakuto said trying to keep her calm.

"I know that. Mnph!" Miyako threw the ball!

"All mine!" Azumi just like the others cracked her bat against the ball as it soared out of the stands, all of 2-F's defenders could do was look skyward as there was nothing they could do.

"Home run! Three straight home runs!" Tesshin announced.

"Whoa, awesome! 2-S, you're awesome!" A spectator cheered.

While everything was going good for 2-S, everyone on the sidelines was shocked.

"Now you know why we're the elites. I'm sure you were just thinking about how I'm a 'just' a girl, or how three-in-a-row never happens." Azumi took the time to taunt everyone as she took her run. "And of course, ordinary people would think that way. But we're not ordinary. We're the ones that make the impossible possible."

"Our relationship between us is akin to ones shared by humans and livestock. But what pig envies a man? Oink, swine and slave away!" Kokoro just added more fuel to the fire.

"Just keep it pouring girls… it'll blast you in the face soon enough." All I could do was smile as I tuned out their pathetic taunts. Everyone else seemed to be holding their ground as they all remained neutral.

"What a swing of fortunes! With three straight home runs, it's now 4 to 1!" Momoyo cheered from the box.

"Th-They just won't shut up…" Chika grumbled. "But we'll be fine right, Naocchi? You and naga's plan will pull through right?"

"Yeah, we promised to bring victory and we'll do it for sure. Things might be getting rough… but that's when we shine through!" Class S has been holding back, but we expected that. The greater the competition, the better their fall would be enjoyed.

"Nagamasa… it's all up to you and everyone else." Yamato said.

"!" Wanko seemed a bit surprised at Class S's performance.

"Oh, Shiina-chan… shouldn't we say something to her?" Mayo thought.

"Nobody blames you, Miyako. You're still our pitcher." Yamato said.

"If they're hitting balls of our best shot, then none of us have a chance of making it better." I say.

"Then it's good I have no intention of subbing out." Miyako said defiantly. "I might not be a pitcher by trade, but I still have my pride."

"I can't remember the last time you were this fired up. Now it's interesting." Gakuto said excitingly.

"I'll take the next one out!" Miyako declared.

"Second at bat. Shortstop, Fushikawa."

"Though I am far too graceful to bear strength and to take the ball all the way to the stands…" Fushikawa says.

"Hah!" Miyako threw…

"I can manage a magnificent… Hit!" Kokoro's bat cracked against the ball just like the others.

"Her hits are clean!" Gakuto noted.

"A hit into low center field. Can he catch it!?" Momoyo watches as Kazama goes for the ball.

"Rrraaahhh! You better believe it!" Kazama says as he slides for the ball, dust billowing around him. As it cleared, we saw an upraised glove with a ball inside of it.

"Out! Fine play!" With that we had our first out against Class S.

"Nngh… Curse your undying determination." Kokoro grumbled.

"Sweet, that's one down!" Kazama cheered. "Everyone, the real game starts now!"

"Yeah, that's right!" Kazuko joined in.

"Heh. We will not be cowed by this. Despite this setback, out spirits remain ever higher!" Suguru remain undaunted himself.

"It seems the fire never left their eyes, it still glows bright. Then it's up to me to mercilessly snuff those flames out." Margit said as she made her way up to home plate.

Then from Yamato. "Time Out!"

Everyone gathers on our side of the field, "Nagamasa is it time you think?"

"Yeah, time for our own counterattack. First up will be stopping the German Hound. For now, we let them continue their air of momentum. Kokoro was just the exception along with Touma as well perhaps. But the others are genuine threats. Wanko, Chris."

"Yes?" they both reply.

"I have a crazy plan for Margit, so hear me out… we'll… and…" I whisper to the team.

"Are you insane!?" Suguru objected.

"Rejected! I reject it!" Gakuto joined in.

"Come on guys. Have faith in Wanko and Chris. Like I said, this will just be for Margit. I have something in store for the 'King' himself." I try to assuage the others.

"It's all we got. Naga, everyone it's all up to you guys now. We've reached the ending and we're gonna win this! Together!" Yamato cheered.

"Yeah!" We replied energetically.

"Naga, thanks for having so much faith in me." Kazuko tells me as she looks at me with honest eyes.

"Of course, baseball's a team sport, we'll win together!" We high-fived just like all the other times we've done it before.

We made it back to the field and after some field changes…

"Third at bat, pitcher, Margit."

"You will know that your piddling adjustments are futile. For my sole objective is a home run!" Margit stands ready.

"I'll make sure it lands in right field… Mnph!" Miyako throws a calculated pitch.

"Mine! Hasen Jagd!" The ball cracks along her bat as it soars just like before.

"It's a hit into right field! Another huge hit!" Momoyo says.

"And another home run for sure… Hm?" Lu then notices things going on in the right field.

Momoyo catches on, "It seems Kuri and Wanko are up to something!"

Chris was near the fence as she checked the ball, "The distance is good. Angle, check."

"I'll do my part! Don't screw up, Kuri!" Kazuko said.

"Same to you! Now come!" Chris readied her arms like she was ready to punt a volleyball. "I must focus all of my energy into my arms. And wait for the moment of impact."

"Seyaaahhh!" Kazuko dashed towards Chris, and with a jump! "Soryah!" And springboarded off her arms.

"Fly!" Chris exclaimed as she sprung Wanko into the air.

"Yay, it worked!" Wanko flew into the air as she caught the ball securely in her glove, "And the ball's… Mine! "

"She's flying! Kuri and Wanko have come up with something incredible!" Momoyo cheered as she watched her sister fly into the air.

Everyone cheered as they saw Kazuko make the awesome catch; while many were worried how she'd come down with a spin she landed on her feet safely with the ball still in her glove.

"With a spin of her body, she makes the landing!" Momoyo cheers again.

"I have nothing but great things to say for her instincts." Lu-sensei complimented her.

"Batter out!" That's two outs for Class S!

"Class F's insane! I love it!" A spectator cheered.

"You can never know what a bunch of good-for-nothings are gonna turn things around!" Another joined him.

Margit grumbled, "Such power. Yet I should have expected as such from you, Frau Chris. You launched Kazuko to exactly the right location."

"Mwahaha! Splendid, Kazuko-dono. What an enchanting play." Hideo complimented her form.

"Fourth at bat is catcher, Kuki."

"Wanko, Gen it's time!" I yell to her.

"Yeah, let's do this Ta-chan!"

"Heh, he better know what he's doing." With that both Kazuko and Minamoto head up towards the batter's plate, as close as they can legally.

"W-What is this!?" Hideo says in a slight panic.

"What's wrong? Mr. High and Mighty?" Gen says.

"We're playing Kawakami Ball." Wanko joins in trying to get under Hideo's nerves.

"Oh, this is a desperate play! Both Wanko and Minamoto are within swinging distance of the batter, he could crack both their skulls with one swing if hee wanted to! What could 2-F be thinking?" Momoyo watches as our team makes it's next play.

"Come on Mr. Chosen One, can you hit the love of your life? Will you topple absolutely everything and show your resolve?" I said to myself as I watched the scene. Everyone in Class S was up in arms.

"That's so… what a dirty trick!" Kokoro argues.

"I never thought they'd get that desperate!" Azumi says with gritted teeth. "They knew Hideo-sama would never purposefully harm a hair on Kazuko's little head and with this being Kawakami Ball it's all allowed!"

"My, my… I never expected such an unorthodox play. I underestimated them. Even so, we've used up much of the second half's time, 2-F will be hard pressed to make a comeback." Touma says analyzing the situation as it stands.

"Even so… this game is ours." I say to myself.

"So come on, Mr. Chosen One. Let's see ya swing for the stands." Gen says with a taunting smirk.

"Guh…" Hideo grits his teeth as he tries to prepare himself. "Fine then! I will show you Kuki's resolve! Seyah!"

And just as Miyako lets loose her throw… Both Gen and Wanko dodge Kuki's bat at the last second. But that moment's hesitation is all they need as he misses the ball entirely.

"Strike! Three outs! Change sides!" Tesshin says.

"Kuh… of all the dirty…!" Kuki grumbles once again.

I'm more than certain that Class S is still confident of their win, with so much time gone it does give us a crunch to finish this quickly. But even so we're more than ready.

"Wanko, Naga… that was amazing! Your plays were amazing! I never thought you'd be willing to go that far." Yamato said.

"Eheheh. Keep the praise coming. And I'll do even better!" Wanko replied.

"All's fair in love and war. And we aim to win, no matter what! Let's finish this now guys!" I cheer as I turn to the others.

"Yeah!" They cheer.

"Chris, thank you." Miyako says to the transfer.

"I am simply glad to have served the team." Chris smiles as she replies.

"Besides, Nagamasa's always been helping me, so I wanted to help him this time too." Wanko said.

"Baseball's a real team sport, yeah." Kazama replies.

"Then, like, I'm gonna start off our counterattack with some fireworks." Haguro said. "Wanko, you're so not hogging all the spotlight. Once they see what I've got, my milkshake will bring all the boy's to the yard!"

"Haguro batted for 2-F in the last half, so she'll be batting up first." Momoyo says.

Haguro makes it to the plate, "Bring it on, bitch! Don't take ganguro lightly!"

"you lack even a modicum of grace. You will swing and miss at my curveballs." Margit says confident she'll get an easy out.

"Oryaahh!" But instead of that, Haguro hit the ball into left field.

"What?! She hit it into left field!?" Margit said shocked her ball was hit. All according to plan.

"This is totally easy for me too!" Haguro cheered as she passed first and headed for second, maybe biting off more than she could chew.

"Second base is dangerous! They can get the pass in and block you!" Yamato tried to warn her.

But Haguro wasn't worried, "I'm getting into scoring position. Then Wanko'll bring me home!"

"Listen here, you cow. You shall be the sacrifice to this bloodsport." Kokoro said confidently.

"Whatever, bitch. Let's see ya try smilin' with my fist in your face!" Haguro said as she made to punch Kokoro.

"Not if I elegantly twirl out of the way." In which Kokoro didge gracefully as she made to counter.

"Wah! Hey, get your scrawny ass back here!" But just as she was distracted, Koyuki came and tripped up Haguro.

"Gweh!? What's the center fielder doing here!?" Haguro panicked.

"Now go kablooie!" Koyuki playfully said.

Kokoro returned as she prepared to stop Haguro, "Indeed. This kneebar will be the end of your leg!"

Kokoro pulled on Haguro's leg hard, "Agoh! Ow, ow, owww!"

"Enjoy the pain, cow. Then pain I caused you." Kokoro began to enjoy torturing her.

"Ooh, that looks painful." Koyuki said watching it unfold. "But I wish I could feel something that strongly."

"Hey, she's going too far! Umpire!" Kazuko called out to Tesshin as she saw Kokoro going way too far with her kneebar on Haguro.

"Agreed. Haguro, out!" Tesshin called, but Kokoro continued anyway.

"Cows are destined to be slaughtered. Hmph." A bone crunching could be heard as pain ripped through Haguro.

"Aaaaaaaaah!" She screamed out.

"Hohoho!" Kokoro laughed at her work. "What a delectably nasty sound and sensation."

Tesshin called out again. "Enough! I already called out!"

"Ah, I was so obsessed with the play that I failed to he—" But Tesshin caught on.

"You claim to have not noticed?" He pushed Kokoro, letting a little of her power leak, the aura of Bishamonten himself radiating.

"Ugh! Uh, no!" Kokoro was scared to say the least. "I shall be more careful from now on! I saw it, I know I did… I nearly forgot that man is still the strongest in the world, and for good reason it still seems."

Umeko-sensei hurried with the medics as they brought a stretcher out for her.

"Hey, is Haguro alright?!" Chika sked worriedly.

"She might have broken a bone." Mayo tells her. "How could she do that? The play was already over?"

"Hohoho! So I injured a monkey. What of it?" Kokoro asked.

"Azai Nagamasa! This is what I have in store for you next!" Kokoro declares.

"She personally called me out? I'm so scared. As if I'll need to take the field…" I saw sarcastically.

But Wanko took it a bit more personal, "I'm sick of that idiot. She might think of going for you next, Naga… But I won't let that happen! You won't lay a finger on him!"

"Wanko…" I saw with a bit of surprise to see her that resolved to protect me.

"My, how the dog yelps in defense of the monkey. You are more than welcome to bring forth any complaints. I'll be waiting on second base." Kokoro seems more than willing to take on the challenge.

"Yeah, I'll see you there! Naga, don't worry. I'll never let her get the chance." Wanko tells me.

"Yeah, not like I would've taken it lying down myself anyway." I reply.

"This is for Haguro too. I'll beat her!" Wanko declares.

"Don't overheat now, okay?" I remind her.

"Nnnrrgghh!" Wanko was firing herself up.

"You're already boiling aren't you?" I say with a bit of pride.

"Back to the top of the order, right fielder, Kawakami."

" 'Kay! Time for a hit!" Kazuko declares.

"You have determination. But if you can't hit the ball—" Margit makes her pitch.

"There's no 'if'—I'll hit it!" Wanko cracks the bat against the ball as it goes left.

"It's a vicious hit through the left field hole!" Momoyo comments.

But Azumi makes the dive and catches the ball, throwing it to third!

"Yaaahhh!" Wanko charges head-first into first base. A millisecond later Jun has the ball…

"I judge her… Safe!" Tesshin called.

"C-Curses! How vexing that she's safe!" Kokoro grumbled.

"It's the right call. I was a hair hate. She stuck with it." Jun wasn't crying over spilt milk.

"Huff… huff… I made it. Now I can fight her! Fushikawa Kokoro!" Kazuko declared.

"Well, good luck out there, Kawakami." Jun said.

"Huh?" Kazuko was a tad confused at his reply.

"I don't hate her competitive drive, but she wouldn't know virtue if it hit her in the face. So I think someone needs to rail her over the coals." Jun tells her. "Well, that's enough ramblings from the poor bald man."

"Hey, is it just me or is the Baldy talkin' to Wanko?" Gakuto wondered.

Well after that little episode of… stupidity of how Jun was NOT wooing Kazuko we got back to the game.

"One out, a runner on first, with Frau Chris at the bat… Intriguing…" Margit was ready for another round with Chris.

"I am Christiane Friedrich!" Chris declared herself.

"Frau Chris, let us fight." Margit declared as well.

"Give me your best, Maru-san! I will give everything I've got!" Chris challenged her. She looks over to me, I give her the signal; I put three fingers inconspicuously on my crossed arms as I exhale.

Translation: Bunt it… just right.

"Got it!" Chris understood the order.

Margit makes the pitch and…

"Oh, Chris bunts it…!" And not only that…

"It's a fair ball! It's right on the left field line, any player picking it up will be out of bounds and it would be an automatic ball!" Momoyo cheers. "To hit the Hound's ball just right, it's quite a feat!"

With this free pass essentially, Chris heads for first base as Kazuko makes for second and her foe, Kokoro Fushikawa. Eventually Azumi gets the ball as she throws it to second base.

"To second!" Azumi says.

Kokoro catches it, "Caught! Now, this time we will end things once and for all!"

Kazuko dashes toward her, "First, you hurt my classmate… and then threaten my friend? You'll pay for that!"

"And what of it, you rabid dog?!" Kokoro challenges her again.

"I'll take you out! Deyaaahhh! Scorpion Strike!" Kazuko makes the same kick I used on Kuma-chan.

"A crisp strike—and yet! Only a fool falls for the same trick twice!" Kokoro blocks it.

"You blocked the strike?!" Now in her grasp, Kokoro counters.

"Now fall to my noble jumping armbar!" Fushikawa jumped up to Wanko's arm and spun her body.

"Oh no!" Kokoro forced Kazuko down. Once she'd had her in a full armbar it was over. But…

"Kuh…" The lingering damage from Kazuko's first attack still lingered. And just for a moment—it gave Kazuko the opening she needed!

"Now's my chance!" Kazuko escaped her hold.

"You escaped my hold?!" Kokoro panicked.

Wanko this time spun behind her and picked her up, "Kawakami-style:…"

And with a leap, threw herself backwards, arching her back, "Butcherbird Suplex!"

"Ugeehh!" Wanko nailed the suplex this time.

"Woah! She got her!" A spectator cheered as Wanko took out Fushikawa.

"That was amazingly acrobatic!" Another cheered. Kokoro's head was buried into the earth, he body remining straight as a fencepost.

"Safe! Bring the stretcher!" Tesshin called.

"I did it!" Wanko cheered.

"Wow! Awesome! Nice one, Wanko!" Chika cheered.

"That was very dashing, Wanko-chan!" Mayo joined in.

"Nice work turning that around Kazuko!" I cheered to her.

"After that, there's no way I'm not taking you guys home!" Kazama promised.

"Okay, it seems like the medics have taken Fushikawa Kokoro to the clinic." Momoyo informed the crowd.

"She was the funniest." Koyuki lamented losing the comic relief she had.

"She will be a monument in my heart for her bravery." Hideo said.

"Whoa, and 2-S is acting like Fushikawa croaked!" Momoyo said jokingly.

"Third at bat, left fielder, Kazama-kun! ~"

As Kazama takes the field the crowd cheers him on. Meanwhile at the radio desk, Lu and Momoyo discuss Wanko's play.

"That was a beautiful Butcherbird Suplex, wouldn't you say?" Lu inquired first.

"Her earlier Scorpion Strike must have done it's job." Momoyo replied.

"I am glad Kazuko won." Lu said.

"Same. But if it weren't for that injury, Wanko wouldn't have been able to escape that hold. And using the same move twice in a row shows a lack of flexibility. There's still so much she can improve on—" Lu then interrupts Momoyo's commentary.

"You don't go easy on her." He says.

"I'm her big sister. I wish I could sing her praises, I really do, but…" Momoyo seems to drift off after that.

"Mnn…" Lu-sensei notices and seems to drop the topic.

Back on the game; Margit decides to get serious as she removes her eyepatch, "So, Kazama Shouichi is next… But I will not let him score a hit!"

"Let us begin! You will strike out, Warrior Kazama!" Margit throws a curve.

"I can see that curveball coming a mile away! Oraaahhh!" Kazama makes the hit as the ball slides into left field again!

"Foul!" Tesshin calls.

"Tch!" Kazama clicks his tongue in annoyance. "Give me another! I'll send that one into the stands!"

"Then how about this?!" Margit throws…

"Another breaking ball? Take that!" Kazama makes the hit!

"Another deep drive, this time into right field!" Momoyo watches as it slides once more out of bounds.

"Foul!" Tesshin calls again.

"Ooh, so close again. Still, he's hitting those balls like a champ." Momoyo says complimenting his form.

"Hmm, maybe I'm focusing too much on getting a homer… Hm?" He locks eyes with me. I do the same signal as I gave Chris.

"Got it." He signals back.

"Come on, hit me with it!" Kazama points his bat at Margit challenging her.

"You are quite the man, Kazama Shouichi! However, I have my own pride to defend. This pitch shall end it!" Margit pitches…!

"A fastball! Just what I was waiting for! But.. it's not dropping?!" Capt's whooshed through nothing but air.

"Strike! Batter out!" Damn!

"That kind of fastball, with that much backspin, it's terrifying." Gakuto said as he caught the ball.

"A splendid pitch, Margit. Goodness gracious, a great ball of fire it is indeed." Hideo complimented her.

"And you will stop using it for a cheap reference." She gritted.

"I-I struck out? Me? In my moment of glory?" Kazama lost his fire.

"That never happens, not for Capt." Miyako said.

"Well, 'never' is a strong word to use." Yamato comments.

"He's good, but he's not perfect." I agree with him.

"Sorry Gakuto, I couldn't seal the deal. Sorry Nagamasa, I failed you and Yamato." Kazama apologies.

"Don't worry about it. Besides, whose the one who said that baseball's a team sport?" Gakuto asked him. "The heavens have simply declared that it is my time to shine."

"Yeah… go get 'tm." Kazama tells him.

"Right on! Runners on first and second! I've been waiting for a moment like this!" Gakuto says pumped up.

"Fourth at bat, catcher, Shimazu."

"Give me your best pitch! I'll knock it out of the park!" Gakuto declares.

"The base runners are eager to sprint…" Hideo notes.

"Then let's start with an intentional ball. To dampen his enthusiasm." Margit notices.

"Hmm, an excellent point. Throw past the outside corner." Hideo signals.

"Then here I go… Hah!" Just as Margit pitches Kazuko and Chris are off.

"Oh? That's an obvious ball, but it's easy too easy of a pitch." Gakuto notices the intentional ball immediately.

"An intention walk?" Momoyo also notices the trick.

This doesn't escape Chris' eye either, "Did they anticipate our play? Even so, I will make it to second."

"This is too good of a chance!" Gakuto jumped forward. "Take this! Master-class Swing!"

And slammed the bat into the ball, "That ball shows no signs of slowing down! Can it make the4 stands?!"

Margit was astounded by Gakuto's swing, "Absurd. You jumped and then swing with no stance?"

"Never underestimate my power!" Gakuto dashed off.

"Yes! And this time there's a tailwind!" Yamato cheered.

"If I can hit the ball, I can send it where I want!" Gaktuo replied.

"It's going, going…" Everyone watched as the ball seemed to keep going.

"Don't stop now! Keep going!" Moro cheered out.

Koyuki tried for it, but it really was too high in the air to jump for.

"Jun, let's try to do the thing they did!" Koyuki thought, but then she realized Jun's not assigned to the outfield anymore. "Then… it's all over."

"Home run!" Tesshin called. With that by sheer force; all three of them; Chris, Kazuko, and Gakuto cross home plate. With that score, the game was now tied at 4-4.

"Nice job, Gakuto! This was your moment!" I cheered.

"You were going to hit that ball, whether they knew it or not… Awesome!" Kazama cheered on his friend.

"That's out power hitter for you. Look at that strength." Miyako even complimented him.

"One swing of the bat, and it's all tied up!" Moro joined in.

Margit was once again astounded, "I never knew you had such brute strength…"

"I haven't been working out every day for nothing! Want my number now?" Gakuto too his shot.

But Margit scoffed, "No, not in the slightest…"

"Don't forget to step on the bases!" Yamato reminded them.

"I'm perfect! OF course I wouldn't forget something stupid like that!" Gakuto told him.

"Fifth up to bat, Ogushi."

"So my time has come. Perhaps I might be able to hit a grou—" But Suguru's hopes were dashed when Margit went full force.

"Hasen Jagd!"

"Strike! Batter out! Three outs!"

"But… some things are impossible." Suguru had also accepted this possibility.

"Especially with a Margit with her rage controlling her. There's nothing you could've done." Yamato replied.

"Yes, but as it stands now. We're back to square one as well. A tied up game and now it's their turn. Miyako, we're counting on you." I tell her.

"I'll do my best." She replied.

"Hey, who's our substitute?" Suguru inquired.

"Oh, that's right. We need a new third baseman." Kazama said.

"Then it's time we played our trump card. We're counting on you." Yamato called out to her.

"W-Woah! You guys seriously picked her!?" Wanko was shocked at our choice for substitute.

"Is that even legal?" Moro asked.

"Well the rules do state that any member of the respective classes can use whoever occupies their class to play in the games; main team and substitutes included." I told them.

"Like he said, she's a member of 2-F too." Yamato added on. "Isn't that right Kojima-sensei?"

"Heh. I never expected to take the field myself." She replies. But sometimes the situation calls for you joing the fun and games yourself."

"Taking over third base is… Ms. Ko—Kojima?!" Even the PA is surprised by our choice of substitute.

"Hey, hey, you're having Ms. Ume play?!" Jun said surprised.

"Students of Class 2-S! When we take the field, we will all be equal warriors! Come at me with nothing but your best!" Umeko-sensei tells them.

"Having Ume-sensei with us should keep everyone's morale high. My plan – really a hunch – worked perfectly." Yamato said. "As it stands there's only a true few in 2-S we have to worry about, but we can manage that."

"While I'm saddened my whole plan didn't completely come to fruition, I like to this I gave them a good scare and show." I said with a satisfied smile.

"Yeah, now Miyako follow my instructions to the letter for the fourth and fifth batters." Yamato tells her as he gives his first instructions.

"Yeah! For the fifth batter, snappy fastballs to the inside corner!" She did so.

"Strike! Batter out!" Tesshin called.

"For batter number six, low breaking pitches! Only breaking balls, nothing else!" Miyako pitched as directed.

"Strike! Batter out!" Tesshin called again.

"For Aoi Touma, don't look at his eyes or mouth and hold nothing back!" And so just like that.

"Strike! Batter out! Three outs! Change sides!" Tesshin called with three outs in a row, it was really time for our revenge.

"Nice! Miyako, high five!" I raised my hand just as she jumped…?!

"Here you go!"

"Just because you can jump high enough to high five with your boobs, doesn't mean you should!" I chastise her.

"Mmm… but you said I could have a prize after 6 outs. I'll be collecting later. But for now, my pride is recovered." This time we high-fived normally as did we with Yamato.

With a change of sides…

"Sixth at bat, first baseman, Minamoto."

"You won't hit this ball!" Margit's newfound rage guided her as she now pitched.

"So this's the fastball everyone's yappin' about!" Despite his best efforts, "Tch!"

"Strike! Batter out!" Tesshin called again.

Miyako was up next and after studying the ball with her archer's eye she seemed resolved to hit, "The backspin is incredible, but not too incredible for me to hit!"

With a crack of her bat Miyako actually hit the ball!

"But I'll get it! Yes I will!" Koyuki goes in for the catch and denies the hit.

"Tch. She really is good." Miyako clicked her tongue.

"I'm just impressed you hit the ball that even struck Capt and Gakuto out on." Moro tried to cheer her up.

"Yeah, it shows it's not invincible. Good job, Miyako." I tell her as I put a hand on her shoulder.

"Thank you, both of you." She smiled. "But that's only if there's a next time."

"Well… it's my turn." I breathed in and out. Calming myself, I walked up to the plate.

"Nagamasa if you get this we'll win!" Yamato reminds me.

"Yeah, I know…" Looking at the clock there's only one last time for one final play.

"I know I shouldn't say this but: No Pressure!" Kazama tells me as he massages my shoulders.

"Like I said… I know Capt." I tell him.

"Naga…" Kazuko appears in front of me.

"Wanko…" I say to her as I look her in the eye.

"Win it… for all of us!" She tells me with those big honest eyes she's always had.

"Yeah!" And with that I take to the batter's spot once more and hopefully for the last time.

"Azai Nagamasa. Unlike before, I want nothing but your best! This is our rematch for the fight in the mountains!" Margit declares.

"Fine! You want my best than don't hold back either!" I replied.

"I don't intend to!" She replied back. "Hasen Jagd!"

That same snappy fastball… the backspin was indeed incredible. But… no matter what kind of thing comes at me, this thing is like slow motion compared to the things I've had to endure at the Temple!

Everyone's trusting me…

"This one's out of the park! Excalibur!" And with a crack of the bat, everyone watches as it soars high, and then goes higher, and higher… added with a bit of flair.

"What!?" Margit is stunned.

"Impossible!" Hideo is just as surprised.

"I… can't reach that…" Koyuki deflates.

And so we watch as the ball soars from the stands and out of the park!

"Home run!" Tesshin chants as I take my lap around the diamond.

"Nagamasa repays Class S how Kuki did in the first half with a clean home run! He's gotten Class F a one-point lead! Class F is in the lead!" Momoyo cheers.

"Nagamasa, you're a work of art!" Yamato cheers as soon as I return.

"That was amazing!" Chika cheers.

"You looked so gallant when you struck that home run!" Mayo adds on.

"Naga, you really were cool. We beat Class S!" Wanko cheered for me, which above all else made me feel even more special.

"You avenged the both of us. Thanks!" Kazama said as he gripped my shoulder.

"Yeah, you've proven your manliness to me this day. I apologize for all I have said in the past." Huh, coming from Gakuto that means a lot, I guess.

And then the whistle!

"And that's game! Class F wins the Kawakami Ball match 5 to 4! With the winning hit from Nagamasa Azai!"

"Wait!" A call by Tesshin stops everything, as he walks over the camera crew filing the event. As he seems to study the camera, then nods to himself.

"After studying the footage. The ball is a foul!" Tesshin declares.

"WHAT!?" Everyone in Class F shouts. What the hell the did that mean!?

"See right here." He directed out attention to the footage. "As you can see here, Nagamasa-san's swing is valid as he's not stepping over the plate. But watch the angle…"

We all watch as the ball that seems to have been going in a straight in in fact is actually curving over to the left and just as it was the rays of the sun blocked it for the human eye to see, but as the camera shows, the ball crossed over the line.

"Oh… fu—Aaaaaaah!"

"And so… with no time remaining, we move to sudden death!" Tesshin declares.

Now with both sides just needing one point to win everything goes back to being tied as sit dejected thinking I'd made a winning shot.

"I'm pathetic…" I mewl.

"It's okay, Naga it was still a good swing. You would've had a home run." Wanko tires to cheer me up.

"She's right man, if not for that curve this would've been over. So don't beat yourself up. We just gotta get out there again." Gakuto says.

"Yeah, and if we keep this up. We'll get our chance to shine again!" Kazama's cheer finally picks me up.

"Alright, you've convinced me. Let's do this!"

"Yeah!" With that we took to the field for this sudden death round.

Up first to bat for Class S would be Koyuki she chose what seemed to be a rather flimsy wooden bat. Why would she…?

"Miyako! You've got us in the outfield!" Wanko, Chris and I were waiting for anything,

"Know that we have your back!" Chris said.

"We got you girl!" I said.

"Mn-hm." Miyako pitched, but after two straight balls…

"Aw shit. Now that's too easy for her!" Gakuto realized it but it was too late.

"Yes, yes. I've been waiting for you!" Koyuki struck the ball as her bat broke on impact.

"Shoot!" Miyako only now realized her mistake.

"Another huge hit! The bat broke on impact, but the ball's still flying deep into right field!" Momoyo said.

"Don't worry! We can defend this!" Chris said.

"Thanks for hitting it to right field!" Kazuko ran ahead to get ready for the jump.

"Angle, check. Height, check. We're ready, Dog!" Chris and I we're in the same position ready to bounce Kazuko.

"Serah! Jump!" And this time we catapulted her into the air. But doing something like this took a strain on Chris, but with me here I like to think the impact wasn't as bad.

"You okay, Chris?" I ask her.

"Yes, with your assistance the strain wasn't as bad, but I believe that is the last time I can do that…" She told me.

We looked over to see Yamato a bit worried…

"Don't worry." We told him with our eyes. We had faith in her and that we could win this.

"Now I just have to catch the ball…" But just as she was going for it tons of splinters came at her as well. "What?!"

As Koyuki made her way, "Hehe, can you tell where the ball is in there?"

"Don't count Wanko out yet!" I cheer.

"Here's the ball!" Just as I say that she finds the ball and grips it in her glove landing smoothly on her feet.

"Aww, you caught it?" Koyuki was deflated.

"Yeouch! Ow, ow, ow! Splinters everywhere!" Kazuko got the ball, but at the cost of tons of wood splinters from the bat embedding themselves.

"Tada! I got it!" Kazuko showed the ball to Tesshin.

"Indeed! She's out!" He announced.

"But here comes another home-run hitting batter! And Assistant Master, you're supposed to be chiming in from time to time." Momoyo chastised Lu-sensei.

"Sorry, I got caught up in the game. Ahaha." Lu-sensei nervously laughed.

Inoue was up to bat next, he made to try and poke a hole in our defense, but Kazama's quick feet stopped that plan of his dead.

"Next lead off hitter is third baseman, Oshitari."

"Since it's sudden death, letting the other team score is dangerous at this point." Azumi relayed.

"Agreed. It is a shame that my turn is so very distant." Hideo felt upset not being able to finish the match himself personally.

"Then I'll have to go end the match." Azumi replied. "Please don't look away, Hideo-sama! ~"

"As strongly as you hit, Kazuko-dono will surely catch the ball." Hideo warns.

"This won't be an artillery strike. It shall be melee combat." Azumi takes her position. And so with us in the backfield, and Miyako pitching we stand out ground…

Miyako threw a heavy fastball, high and inside…

"Nice pitch. Strike!" Tesshin called.

"Such intensity ~ I'm impressed." Azumi 'complimented' Miyako. "But that this point instead of a home run… I'll go straight for your weak spot!"

This time the ball careened off her bat and into our shallow right field.

"Guh, she found our true weakness!" Wanko, Chris and I ran to cover the gap, but by that point Azumi had planted herself on first base and was safe.

The next batter was a member of the Tea Ceremony club, they weren't getting any home runs anytime soon…

"Don't worry. You don't have to swing!" Azumi called out to her. I knew it! She's just going to use the chance to run and cover second base. "I'll just take another base with the pitch!"

"Wow, the great thief is declaring out loud what her plans are." Momoyo commented on Azumi's brashness.

"I got a real bad feeling about this." Kazuko said worryingly.

"Yeah; Chris, Wanko. Azumi's clearly up to something so let's patch up our infield. Chris, you handle shortstop. Wanko, you go to third, got it?" I pointe between both of them.

"If Yamato trusts you just as much, then I shall obey. I will stop Oshitari!" Chris acknowledged her mission.

"Leave it to me!" Kazuko did too.

"Thanks, Nagamasa. With this we can cover all out bases, that maid is making me uncomfortable…" Yamato shared my similar concerns. "That and I see the hidden meaning in this new plan of yours."

"Hehe, I knew you'd get it." I reply with a smirk.

"Huh? What is it, tell us. Quit leaving us in the dark like this." Gakuto argues with us.

"You'll see. For now, just keep up the defense." Yamato told him.

"It doesn't matter who you send against me… Stacy!" Azumi called over the American merc-turned-Kuki maid as she brought her a bowl of… soup?

"Here's the consume soup!" Stay gave her the bowl.

Azumi took the bowl and chugged it in one go, "Great! I'll… swallow… all of… this!"

I swear if we tested that stuff it would beep like a Christmas tree.

"Whew…" After drinking the 'soup', it was obvious that Azumi Oshitari was a different person. "Yes! Yes, yes, yes! I can feel the power building inside me!"

"Oh come on! That is obviously doping!" I called out the obvious injustice before us.

"That's so cheap! He's right, she should be kicked!" Chika agreed with me.

"Where in the rules does it say someone can stop and take a soup break?!" Yamato argued.

"But all I did was have a bowl of soup." Azumi tried to stay innocent.

"Oh shut up ninja… only your kind have lies that spew constantly from your mouth" I argue back with her.

"Hey, hey now… you shouldn't be such a bad sport… unless you can prove it…" She said with an arrogant smirk.

"Grrrr…." I growled menacingly, but I knew she had my number. I had no proof.

"And this soup has enhanced all of my five senses., but you don't need to concern yourselves with that." Azumi says with her stupid smile.

"Chris, watch out. She's 100% percent coming for you next!" I tell her.

"She will not make it past shortstop, but you should be careful as well Nagamasa." Chris replies. But I can tell she's more than ready for a fight.

Just as Miyako pitched Azumi made a break for it, "Begin the advance! I'll be the damn buster!"

"She really did it! Gakuto throws to second!" The Class S student was out and Gakuto quickly threw to second in an attempt to cutoff Azumi.

"Alright, I shall handle this! Even if unarmed, I will be victorious!" Chris charges at Azumi

"I won't lose either!" Azumi replies. "Enjoy this cloud of dust."

Azumi shoes ground to a halt, a dust cloud billowing into the air, "Tch, I can't see." Just as Azumi made to slip past Chris.

"But I will not fall for petty trickery!" Chris struck at hwere she felt Azumi to be, but only strick her empty clothes. "That should've… wait, no, I missed?"

"Oshitari Demon Breath!" Azumi had snuck behind Chris and punched her from behind sending her flying.

"Gah!" Chris groaned out.

"Substitution Jutsu." Azumi had used her clothes from before as a feint. But now she was in her swimsuit, a sort of emergency clothes should her maid uniform be ripped and unusable.

"Kuri, are you okay!" Kazuko called out.

Chris got up and shrugged off the maid's punch, "I am fine!"

But with another base for Azumi, the second out wasn't worth much and if she got past Wanko she'll score the point they need.

"Wanko, she's gunning for you next" I warn her. "I know you can stop her!"

" 'Kay! I know I can stop her! I'm on top of my game right now." Kazuko replied.

Azumi chuckled, "Then I have to make doubly sure I get past you. Stacy! Bring me seconds of the consommé soup!"

"You… You're having more!?" I let out my frustration. "Who the hell makes this rules allowing this!?"

"That was delicious! Now my five senses have been maxed out. I can even hear people whispering up to a kilometer away from here. There's no way you can beat me now!" Azumi declares.

Kazuko wasn't phased at all, "I'm still determined to win! I'm going to do it! I will!"

"Wanko, are you alright?" Miyako checks on her.

"Yeah, I'll get her, I promise. This is my moment. Don't let your eye off me, Onee-sama." Kazuko was still ready to go.

"Then, here I go!" Miyako made the pitch.

"Azumi's off!" The maid took off making her way to third. Gakuto had already thrown to Wanko.

"Okay, I've got the ball. Now I've got to stop you." Kazuko readied herself.

"It's impossible! You can't possibly see through this! Ultimate: Rainbow Clones!" Azumi made clones of herself. "The seven of us will demolish you as one!"

"Wanko, I know you can get her!" I called to her.

But she didn't seem worried, "You said you can hear things from a kilometer away huh? Then how about this…?" Wanko then inhaled.

"WOOF!" She barked loudly at Azumi making her stop dead in her tracks as her body began to shake and convulse.

"Aieeee!? Aaaaah, m-my ears! My ears!" Azumi tried to hold her ears in a vain attempt to comfort them.

Kazuko followed up on that, "Gotcha! You're the real one! Kawakami Ultimate…"

Azumi only realized she was in trouble too late, "Gh! Oh no…" Until the axe kick came.

"Hammer of Heaven!" Kazuko's axe kick came right down on Azumi's head cleanly striking home.

"Kawakami Ultimate: Sword of Earth!" The Kazuko finished her with an overpowered roundhouse kick pounding Azumi into the dirt.

"Out! Change sides!" Tesshin called seeing Azumi down and the pervious strike called.

"Yay! I got her!" Kazuko cheered.

"Wow! That was impressive, Dog!" Chris cheered for her.

"Yeah, that awesome!" The two of them high fived as I cheered her moves too.

"Using sound as a weapon was a stroke of genius." Chris complimented her moves.

"I thought her ears would be sensitive, and I was right!" Kazuko pointed out.

"An excellent attention to detail, Kazuko!" Lu complimented her.

"Yeah, I'd love to sing her praises… But when probably couldn't have won against the clones otherwise?" Momoyo doubted.

"The fact that she won still matters." Lu-sensei reminded her.

"I'm not doubting that… but if she wants to be Assistant Master…" Momoyo watched her sister as she was celebrating with her friends.

"Yay!" Wanko cheered.

"This isn't something to celebrate. But… maybe I am being too hard on her." Momoyo said solemnly.

But the game has to go on.

"Bottom of the fifth, ninth batter is… Ms. Kojima?!" The PA is still not used to this it would seem.

"So Yamato, Naga, what was the hidden meaning behind that plan of yours?" Gakuto asked us.

"You know how we had Ms. Ume on third before the change right?" I told him.

"We were worried they might find that out before we went to bat. So we gave her a position that made it seem like she'd be batting earlier in the lineup." Yamato told him.

"But that's that got to—" But the moment was cutoff as Margit threw her pitch.

"Even if you are a teacher, I will show no mercy!"

"I need none!" The ball cracked as it already flew over the left fielder's head.

"Whoa, it's a deep ball over the left field!" Momoyo cheered.

"Hehe, she's not only beautiful, but strong as well. Who wouldn't want a teacher like that?" Everyone was shocked at how easily our teacher dealt with Margit's nearly unstoppable fastball.

Umeko came to a stop on second, "I think that's more than enough help to give for now. The rest is up to all of you now."

Kazuko was up next, "That's where I come in! I'll shine as a batter too!"

"You will not hit my pitch!" Margit was getting a bit worked up again.

But Kazuko never faltered, "I've been watching that ball all this time, yes I can!" The ball cracked as it rolled a scathing line to third base.

Azumi dived for the ball catching it.

"Fine play! Out!" Tesshin called.

"I think that makes up for earlier." Azumi said.

"Awwww!" Kazuko was now deflated.

"Hey, it was a good hit. We all get outplayed sometimes." I tried to console her.

"I guess, but… She still looks totally fine even after I hit her as hard as I could. Do you think I don't have enough power?" Oh no, now she's really hitting the dumps.

"Don't worry we'll make up for it, I promise." I tell her.

"But for now, this is my opportunity!" Chris cheers as her turn comes.

Chris cracks a pop fly to the pitcher, "Frau Chris, you rushed your attack."

"Mmph… I feel I have embarrassed myself." Chris says pouting.

"You lost on the first wing. How was that part of your opportunity!?" Yamato yelled at her.

"Hush you! Shut up!" And the two go back to their usual schtick.

"Don't get angry with me." Yamato grumbled.

Kazama steps up next, "Welp, looks like it's time for a good old gust of wind."

"The wind will not blow. The only blowing will be trumpets in fanfare of our victory." Margit corrects him.

"Gimme your best shot!" Kazama challenges her.

Margit started out with a fastball, "Nrah!" And Capt misses by a mile swinging way too late.

"How can we possibly win now…?" Suguru starts to despair a little.

The second pitch, another full powered fastball, "Drassay!" And again Capt hits nothing but air.

"I should be able to get a quick strikeout." Margit noted as she prepared her next pitch.

"I've finally got the timing down…" Kazama looks ready this time much to Hideo's surprise.

"You've what…?"

"Sink!" Margit makes her throw!

"Pray wait!" Hideo tries to stop her but it's too late as she pitches an honest fastball.

"Sweet, piece of cake! Naga, this is for you!" Capt's bat smacks the ball as it soars into the sky and smacking itself deep into left field.

Margit was astounded, "How did you make such strong adjustments in so few pitches?!"

"Take your laps! Go!" Moro cheered on both Capt and Ume-sensei.

"Curses… How could we have lost.?" Hideo grumbled.

During that Ms. Ume crossed home plate giving us the winning point! Just as she did we joined the crowd in the cheering as Capt also returned.

"Game over! By a score of 5 to 4, Class F wins!" Tesshin calls the game.

"Yep, that felt awesome!" Capt finally breaths out all that stress.

"In the end you still stole the show, Capt." I said.

"But I… I worked so hard too…" Kazuko said still feeling down.

I turned to her, "You did do good. I guarantee it." I patted her head.

"Wehehe. Thank you, thank you." She seemed to enjoy it.

"Wanko, you were brilliant out there." I said honestly to her as I looked her in the ye.

"Nagamasa…" Was she blushing?

"Especially when you came up with that trick to stop them getting anymore home runs. That was incredible seeing you fly in the sky." I continued to praise her.

"Ahaha. You'd go that far? Geez, Nagamasa." Kazuko then threw her arms around me.

"So I also want you to tale your end-of-semester exams just as seriously."

"Gwah!" She then flopped straight to the ground.

Thus closed the curtain on this deadly ball game tournament and our victory over Class 2-S.

Eventually things winded down and I was in my room taking reading a mystery novel I'd borrowed from Miyako's own collection she'd lent me.

Then a knock on my door came, "It's open." It was Wanko. "Wanko, what is it?"

"Hey, hey, let's go play somewhere tomorrow." She asked.

I sighed, "Wanko, you know we have exams on the 13th right? And we agreed that duringthis Friday meeting we'd focus on our finals so we could have fun over the summer?"

"Yeah, so if we play tomorrow, that will encourage me to work even harder." Or distract you even more…

"Good grief… we'll you did something special today so…" I thought about it as she stepped further into my room.

"Yeah, so give me my reward." She asked.

"Hah, you spoiled little… did you invite everyone else?" I asked her.

"Nope. I thought you'd have the most free time besides Yamato since you do your studying earlier than me or Onee-sama." Wanko said.

"I see, well they have to focus on their studies so I guess it's a good thing you didn't.." But now she began to twiddle her thumbs.

"S-so… is that a roundabout way of saying no?" She asked worriedly.

I nodded my head as I smiled, "No, we can go somewhere."

"Wait, you really mean it?! Wahoo! Yay! Yay!" She hugged me tightly expecting nothing but fun.

Little did she know I was planning on taking her to the library. I know she likes to have fun, but even I have to put my foot down sometimes.

"Though it does look like it's going to rain tomorrow." I noted.

"Well, I don't mind either way. Eheheh, so where are we going? I haven't seen a move in a while, so maybe the theatre? And then, maybe we could do karaoke?" Wow, she is… very energetic.

"And even if it does rain, we could go biking along the Tama River. Oh, but we'll have to do our daily training first though." She remembered.

"I didn't forget that for a moment." I told her.

"Mmm, I can't wait. Then after we finish we can meet up at 8…" Mm, that still seemed to early a bit…

"Let's make it 9 then, and since the weather might look dicey we'll head for the Citta district then." I told her.

"Yeah, yeah… I can't wait!" All the while she still hugged me tightly. I guess I should let her have some fun before steering her towards the library.
