Chapter 2

Sonic stood in a stance frowning at what he saw before "Metal Sonic let. Amy. Go. Right now!" He growled the robot just stood staring down at Amy she stared back eyes wide metal shook his head and lowered the pink hedgehog and she jumped on her feet.

He let her go and she quickly dashed behind Sonic, who put an arm in front of her. The blue hedgehog raised his eye at the robot as that was something he'd never done before as he just willingly let someone go. Metal Sonic closed his eyes and started up his engine he flew pass Sonic and Amy and disappeared into the trees.

Sonic with a raised eye sighed and turned to Amy "are you okay Amy?!" Sonic asked.

"I'm fine Sonic you always come at the right time, but we have to help Tails," Amy said with worry as she ran to the foxes side he was still out cold.

Sonic mouth opened in shock "Tails."

Cream and Cheese who were hiding behind a tree ran too them, "Mr Sonic Miss Amy will Tails be okay?!"

Amy checked him over and sighed in relief "he'll be fine he just needs some rest we should take him back to the workshop," she said as Sonic nodded in agreement.

"I'll take him can you take Cream home?" Sonic said as he picked him up.

"Sure, Sonic come on Cream," Amy said signalling to the rabbit.

"Okay Miss Amy," Cream smiled and walked on.

Before Amy followed on, she stared back at the trees where Metal Sonic had flew into "hm," she mumbled but shook her head and followed Cream. Amy took Cream home and headed to Tails workshop Sonic had laid Tails on the couch with a pillow under his and a blanket over his body.

"Tails will be alright I'll stay with him till he wakes up," Amy said placing a bandage on his head.

"Thanks Amy your great," Sonic said with a smile.

Amy blushed a bit but smiled "no problem."

A few days had passed and Tails was a lot better he was up and working on his machines as normal and Sonic was laying on the roof chilling out. Amy had paid a visit to check on Tails and Sonic since she'd baked some cakes and she wanted to share them.

"Wow, Amy these are great!" Tails exclaimed as he took a bite.

"Thanks Tails, I wasn't sure if they'd turn out alright since I tried a new recipe," the pink hedgehog smiled as she also ate one. "Not bad too bad I'd say. Anyway what are you working on?" Amy asked as she turned her head to

Tails finished off his cake and jumped down off his stool since they were sitting at the work top and walked up to his plane. "I'm working on a new feature to add too the x tornado it'll be super helpful if we are ever in flight with Eggman's robots and I've added heated seats for comfort hehe," Tails grinned always happy to talk about his inventions.

"I can't wait to see it in action," Amy smiled as she also jumped off her stool. "Well, I'd better head on out, I've got some shopping to do, see ya later Tails. I'll say bye to Sonic on the way out." Amy grinned and with a wave she walked out the workshop.

"Bye Amy, thanks for the cake!" Tails yelled as she walked out.

"Bye Sonic, I've left some cake for you!" Amy waved up to the blue hedgehog who was still on the roof relaxing.

"Bye Ames thanks can't wait to taste it!" Sonic grinned and waved back before going back to sleep.

Amy grinned and walked on through the Mystic Ruins humming a little song as she went. She was unaware of a pair of red eyes following her every move. She was so into her humming with her eyes that she didn't realise that a tree was bent over slightly at the top.

It cracked and fell it down over the pink hedgehog, but it never landed on her, she was suddenly pulled off her feet and she could feel coldness under waist. She didn't have time to react but once she could her eyes were now wide open. "H-huh!"

She opened her mouth to scream when she looked at her saviour it was metal Sonic. He placed one of his fingers over her mouth and she didn't make a sound her eyes still wide open. He carefully set her down on her feet and didn't do anything.

Amy fumbled about she yelped and quickly got her hammer out. "Don't come any closer!"

Metal Sonic carefully approached the pink hedgehog and placed a hand on top of her hammer. He slowly lowered it down and took a step back. Amy's mouth hung open in shock as she realised, he didn't want to attack or capture her. She raised her eye, "what are you playing at, aren't you going to take me to doctor Eggman?!" Amy growled.

The robot shook his head and placed his hand on his chest. Amy scrunched her eyes in thought she wasn't sure what the robot's deal was. "Trust me I don't want to harm or take you to doctor Eggman I'm done with him, and I've disobeyed him."

Amy's eyes widened again, "why should I trust you?!"

"'I just wanna live a life like you and the others. I also wanna get to know you, you fascinate me." Metal Sonic said as he rubbed his head and looked down at the ground.

Amy eased herself as she made her hammer disappear, she straightened stance. "H-huh, oh!" She uttered in surprise.

"Are you sure about that?" She asked one more time.

"Yes, I'm sure." Metal Sonic nodded.

Amy sighed not sure what to do, "um, hm w-well I guess I could give you a second chance I have made friends with a robot before. Not sure how Sonic and the others will feel about it since you are metal Sonic, maybe best to keep it a secret for now, um would you like to come to my house?" Amy asked rubbing her head.

"If that's okay I would like too," metal nodded.

Amy and metal Sonic walked together to the pink hedgehogs, little house just outside the mystic ruins they speak a word until they reached it. "Here we are, welcome to my home, come on in!" Amy grinned.

Metal Sonic squinted his eyes at being hit by light and slowly entered the house he scanned the whole place as Amy showed him around. "Well, that's about everything for a tour of my house it's pretty small but I love it. Hm, you know I'd normally offer people something to drink or eat but you're a robot, so I don't know if I have something to offer you," Amy said in thought.

"We robots normally get oil or chaos emeralds, but you probably don't have any of that," metal Sonic replied as he sat down on a chair as Amy signalled for him to do.

"I know for sure I don't have a chaos emerald, but I might just have some oil I got it cause my doors were making noises, gimme a sec and I'll check the hut," Amy smiled and headed out to the hut and sure enough she found the oil and went back inside and offered it to the robot.

"Um, thank you," metal Sonic nodded and used the oil.

"If you have anything to do metal maybe do it now, I kinda have to go into town and get some shopping. I'd take you with me, but I think it would cause a scene." Amy said sipping some of her juice.

"I'd have to agree, but I am curious about this shopping," metal Sonic said finishing off the oil.

"Wait I have an idea!" Amy beamed.
