The model only lasted a couple of weeks before she was replaced by another girl, who was replaced by another girl, who was replaced by another girl.

With each girl-of-the-week, it hurt a little less - she mostly felt sorry for them at this point. And Beck was getting a reputation as a player anyway. Which was what he deserved in her opinion.

Another relief was, people didn't automatically associate her with him anymore. It had been four months since they changed their relationship status on the slap and she was able to go about her business without being asked about him constantly.

But her thoughts still betrayed her. She still saw his face everywhere. Her heart still did that little flip whenever he laughed around her and she couldn't stand to sit near him in class or at lunch because the smell of his aftershave still sent her reeling.

And she would never admit this but she still imagined his hands caressing her body each night before she fell asleep. She could still remember how it felt to have his lips against hers, his tongue in her mouth. The way he could undo her in a way that no one else ever could.

"West!"

Jade groaned in frustration when Andre stopped her by the shoulder at the end of their songwriting class. It was the second-to-last class of the day and she wanted to avoid the stampede of people running to their lockers.

"What's up?" She folded her arms. Andre waited for the rest of their class to filter out before he continued.

"Look, I'm worried about Beck," he admitted.

"And that would be my problem because..?" Jade tried again to leave.

"Jade, come on," he said seriously. "I think he needs an intervention or something. This serial dating thing. It's not healthy. He got slapped last week by that Northridge girl."

Jade smirked. "He's made his bed - he can lie in it."

"He's depressed, Jade."

"Again, what do you want me to do about it?" Jade frowned. "I'm not his girlfriend anymore, I can't force him to take his fucking prozac in the morning or - god forbid - actually talk to someone about his feelings."

"He would listen to you-" Andre insisted.

"No, he wouldn't," She scoffed. When it came to talking about his mental health, he barely listened to her when they were together - let alone now when they weren't even on speaking terms.

"He's still caught on you. All these other girls are just his twisted attempt at filling the space you left behind. You're the blueprint, Jade."

"Don't make me laugh, Andre," Jade rubbed her temple, struggling to take him seriously right now.

"You can't say you haven't noticed it. Every girl he dates has the blue eyes and the dark hair. Last week, the new girl even had an eyebrow piercing. This is not normal!"

"Beck is just enjoying his single life," Jade disagreed. "Like he always wanted."

"There's that and then there's being a glutton for punishment.' Andre disagreed with her.

"Dude, how can I make this any clearer?" She shouted frustratedly. "Beck's sex life is none of my business. If he wants to ruin his reputation and act like a slut that is his decision!"

At this point, she was pissed. She was trying so hard to move on and that meant not worrying about Beck or any of his psychological issues. He clearly wasn't worried about any of hers.

She didn't wait to hear Andre's response before she stormed angrily out of the classroom.
