Chapter Nineteen

He decided to shut up his phone for the night, a huge step for Matt considering he's the CEO of his family company; but tonight, he's decided that all he wants to be is Alex's husband. So, that means that he can't have any distractions. He needs to dedicate his attention Alex. Though, that didn't mean that he didn't do one last check of all his texts and e-mails, which is precisely what he was in the midst of doing as he sat in bed this evening, only for Alex to call him out on what he was doing as she came out of the washroom in her sexy lingerie. "Seriously? You're checking your phone?" Turning his head. "I was just doing one last check. I know, it's Sunday; but, I didn't know if there was anything tomorrow. Though, I ended up texting Christie, Andy, and Kelly. I told them that I want to take a bit of time off; that I wanted to spend a bit of time with my wife, so I'm not going to be working this week." Alex smiled as she heard Matt say that, as that sounded great. "Well, your wife is a lucky woman for you to step away from the office for a week." Matt snickered as he turned his head and looked at the woman he loves. At the same time, he extended his hand to invite her over.

And that's precisely what Alex did, she walked over to the man of her dreams so that she could be with him; while Matt got up and just waited for his beautiful wife to make her way over to him. "Aw, I was going to sit in your lap." Matt shook his head, as that wasn't what he wanted right now. Rather, he wanted to hold her close; so, he went to get close to his wife and smiled as he wrapped his arms around her. Meanwhile, Alex placed her hands on Matt's arms and just cuddled up to her husband. "Listen, I know you say that you're lucky for me to step away from the office for a bit; but it's for my sake too, I need the time away. I need time with you so that me and you can get our life in order." Alex agreed with her husband as she got close to him, before leaning up and kissing him softly. "I know, you've told me that in the past." Matt nodded, well aware that was the case. "And I still mean it." Alex agreed, smiling at Matt as she hugged him this evening; after which, she let him go and went to get in bed ahead of her husband. After all, that's precisely where they both want to be right now. They want to be in bed with each other, so that they can hold each other close and take it easy.

Though, Matt just wished that he got in first so that he could have her right away. "I wish I just stayed in bed, then we'd be kissing already the moment you got in bed." Alex laughed and smiled as she looked up at her husband, while also deciding to sit up and take off her bra for him. That way, she could tease her husband and give him what he wants right now, a bit of attention in a non-sexual fashion. And damn, did Alex really turn him on when she did that. "Ok. Now, that was hot." Alex agreed with her husband, well aware that her not wearing a bra always turned him on. "I know, me being braless in bed always turns you on." Matt nodded as Alex said that, while watching as she went to set her bra down on her side table; only for him to offer to take it to the closet. "Here, you want me to grab it and take it to the closet? Put it in the laundry?" Turning her head, Alex smiled at Matt. "I was just going to keep it there and wear it in the morning as it's not dirty. I just want to be comfortable as I sleep, and it's much more comfortable to be braless." Matt smiled. "And it's a much bigger turn on for me." Laying down on her side, Alex agreed with Matt, while also getting worried.

Worried about whether she made the right decision in taking off her bra, when she doesn't want to have sex again. "Promise me that we don't have sex, I just want to hold you close to me like this." Matt agreed with Alex, well aware that was the case as he proceeded to climb into bed with her so that he can give her what she needs from him: reassurance that they aren't going to have sex. "Hey, I can already promise you that we aren't going to have sex. I just want to take it easy and hold my wife close to me." Alex smiled as she heard Matt call her his wife, while also grabbing her bra from her; turning around afterwards, Matt smiled as he went to go set it down in the laundry. "Honestly, I'd rather you not wear a bra. We both know that you're very uncomfortable when you wear a bra. I mean, we're at home babe. If you want to cover up, then just wear a shirt on top. Don't worry about a bra at home. It's a waste of time when we take it off so often." Alex smirked. "So, I shouldn't wear the matching set of lingerie?" Turning around, Matt smirked as he made his way back to bed with the woman he loves. "I didn't say that. I'm just saying that you don't need to wear a bra. Like you did earlier."

Alex agreed with her husband. "Right, I wasn't wearing a bra under my tank top." Matt agreed, smirking as he took off the watch he was still wearing today; before setting it down on his side table as he looked down at his wife. "I want you to be comfortable, and we both know that you're the most comfortable when you aren't wearing a bra. That's something I've learned over the past 3 days of marriage." Alex smiled as Matt said that, well aware that they've been married for three days. "Can you believe it's already been 3 days since we got married? Well, as of right now." Matt agreed with his wife as he leaned over her, smiling as he placed his hand on her neck and kissed her softly. "I owe you tomorrow morning for now being here this morning when you woke up." Alex agreed with Matt, as he most certainly does. "Now if that isn't the truth. I want you here when we wake up in the morning, then you can go out if you want. I saw that you recently took your surfboard out." Climbing into bed with Alex, Matt nodded as he did recently take his surfboard out. "Yeah, I'm still debating whether I want to go surfing though." Alex was surprised as she heard Matt say that.

After all, you'd think he'd want to go surfing considering they live on the ocean. "I mean, we live on the ocean. Aren't you at all interested in going surfing?" Moving close to Alex, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arm around her and tugged her beautiful body against his chest; while Alex wrapped her arms around his back and slipped her legs in between his, only to really enjoy the feeling of her breasts against his muscular chest. "Oh, now this is nice." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware that this is nice. "I already know that, and I am so glad that this is how we're in the midst of holding each other. This is what I want, and I have it because of you." Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, smiling as she placed her hand on his face prior to kissing him softly. "I love you." Matt agreed with his wife as he wrapped his arm around her back. "I love you too." Placing his hand on the back of Alex's head, Matt smirked as he leaned in and kissed his gorgeous wife softly. "I hope you know that I mean that, even after what you told me."

Alex agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware of what he was talking about; he was talking about how she told him she had an abortion. "I know, and I'd rather not talk about it anymore. We're past it and I'm ready to just live our lives here in California. I mean, look at how gorgeous the sunset is here from our bed." Rolling over to look at the sunset, Matt smiled due to the fact that it truly is gorgeous. There's just something about it that's really nice. "I love it too, and I'm glad that we're doing this right now." Alex agreed with her husband. "Are you going to stay on your side, or would you rather have me on your chest?" Matt smiled. "Where are you going to sleep tonight? Do you want to sleep next to me, or on top of me?" Alex smiled as Matt asked her that question, as she's very interested in sleeping on his muscular chest. "I really like the idea of me sleeping on your muscular chest." Matt agreed with Alex as he rolled back over onto his side, he smirked as he watched Alex get close to him and place her hand on the side of his face.

Meanwhile, he wrapped his arm around her and placed his hand on the back of her neck. Leaning in, he smirked as he took things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you and I am just so happy right now; I want you to know that I mean that from the bottom of my heart." Alex agreed with her husband, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I already know that; especially since you can't keep your hands off me." Matt smirked as he ran his hand down Alex's arm, prior to kissing her softly. "I will always want to touch you, even when we have children running around our home. I want to touch you, hold you, and kiss you for the rest of our lives." Alex nodded, as she wants the same. She wants to hold her husband close to her, as they take things nice and slow with each other as a way for the both of them to be very happy. And that's precisely what they both are right now. They're both very happy with each other. "So, what are you thinking about right now?" Matt smirked. "How sexy my wife is." Alex agreed with Matt.

After all, he does love calling her sexy. "I'm thinking about how handsome, loving, and caring my husband is. How he's the best lover and always wants to take care of me like I'm a queen." Matt smiled, agreeing with Alex as that's precisely what she is to him. She's his queen, and he'll always make sure that she has the best life she possibly can. "I hope you know that I plan on giving you everything and anything you want in life. I want to give you the life of your dreams, just as long as it includes me." Alex smirked as she leaned in and kissed him softly. "Of course, my life will always include you baby; you're the love of my life and the man of my dreams. I don't want to be with anybody else for the rest of my life, as you complete me, and I just can't see either of us being with other people." Matt smirked, agreeing with Alex. "Is that why you flirted with me so much?" Alex laughed. "I think it was the other way around." Matt shook his head. "No, you flirted with me. Then, you got mad at me when you saw me with my ex." Alex remembered that.

After all, he led her on. "I was so mad when you did that to me." Matt agreed with his wife. "Well, now you never need to worry about that ever again due to the fact that you're stuck with me for the rest of your life." Alex agreed with her loving husband, really happy that she'll never have to deal with that ever again. Moving close to him, Alex smiled as she kissed the man of her dreams nice and slowly; while he wrapped his arm around her back and just smirked due to the fact that he's very happy at the moment, especially as he ran his hand all over Alex's body and played with her lingerie. "So, what are we doing tomorrow?" Alex smiled as Matt asked her that question. "Tomorrow, I want to put my sweats on, stay in sweats and just take it easy. I know, it's boring but…" Matt shook his head. "No, it's perfect. I need it anyways." Alex agreed with her husband. "You finally realizing that you need to take a break from work?" Matt sighed as he went to grab Alex's hand. "I think it hit me when I tried to work. I don't want to live my life that way."

Alex agreed with her husband, as she already knew that. "I want to have a life with my gorgeous wife, a life where I can take it easy with you as often as I want. I want to have a firm foundation to our marriage, and we won't have that unless I take a break and step back from the company for a while. So, I think that's what I might do for now. I might step back, and just be your husband like you want." Alex agreed with her husband, as she really liked the sound of Matt saying that; though, she wasn't holding her breath for it to really happen. "I hope you know that I want to try and help you do that. Matt, I know you want to do that, but what are the odds of it happening? Be honest with me." Matt shrugged, as he had no idea what the odds of it actually happening were. All he knew is that he wants to spend time with his wife right now, which is what he decided to tell Alex as he brought the back of her hand up to his lips. "All I know, is that I want to spend time with you right now. I want time with you as your husband and nothing more." Alex agreed.

After all, that's precisely what she wants as well. She wants to spend time with Matt just being her husband, without him also having to double as the Chairman and CEO of the family company; that way, they can just take it easy and relax with each other for a while. After all, that's what they both need right now. They both need to take it easy and just relax as they start off their life with each other. "I'm glad that you came to this realization on your own, rather than have to make me give you an ultimatum." Matt agreed with his wife, well aware that she could've easily given him an ultimatum when it comes to her needing some time off with him. "I know, so I decided to volunteer to take some time off rather than have you force me to take some time off. I mean, not that I didn't want to take some time off regardless. I want to take some time off so that I can just take it easy and concentrate on my gorgeous wife for a while." Alex agreed with Matt, well aware that as the case as she cuddled up to him and just held him close to her in the comfort of their bed.

Kissing his chest, she smiled due to the fact that this truly is everything that they both want with each other right now. They're both so happy as they hold each other in bed like they are right now, due to the fact that they love each other so much. The feelings they have for each other are real, which makes them both extremely happy with each other. "I'm so happy right now." Alex agreed with her husband, well aware that he was happy; hell, she even knew why he was happy. He was happy due to the fact that he had her here in their bed. And this is where she's going to be for the rest of their lives, due to the fact that it's not just his bed anymore; rather, it was their bed. It's the bed they get to enjoy with each other as they share sweet kisses with each other, kisses like the one Matt just started giving her right now. "God, I am so glad that you're here with me right now." Alex agreed with her husband and smiled as she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him nice and slowly this evening; just like he wants her to do.

They were no longer laying down side-by-side, nor were they watching TV this evening. Rather, Mr. and Ms. Casey were just holding each other and just enjoying some quiet time with each other. With everything that's gone on recently, they felt like they just needed to take some time to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet with each other. "You're sure that you're okay with this, right baby?" Matt nodded as Alex double checked (again) whether or not he was okay with them just laying here in silence to end their night. "Alex, I know why we're doing this. We're doing this due to the fact that it's been a long 72 hours. You're tired and just want to take it easy." Alex agreed with her husband, before turning her head and looking up at him. "I don't want to keep saying this, but you're okay with this; right Matt?" Matt agreed with his wife, as he's more than okay with them just holding each other close as they cuddle in bed. And that's due to the fact that he's very comfortable here with her in bed. It's just the best feeling in the entire world.

And her just cuddling up to her the way she is right now is the ideal way for the both of them to end their night, which is what they're in the midst of doing. "Alex, I love you and that's all that matters at the end of the day. If we're happy with each other, then we shouldn't fight it. We already fought our happiness and love for each other for long enough. Let's just take it easy and not second guess everything. If we're happy as we hold each other and are just taking it easy with each other, then I'm pretty sure that we can just agree to do this some more. I mean, does this make you happy babe?" Alex agreed with her husband, as it makes her very happy. Just them holding each other as they are right now makes her happy due to the fact that this is the life they've always wanted with each other. And now, they're blessed to have this life with each other. "I love you Matt, and I'm so glad that we have each other as we do right now." Matt agreed with his wife as he kissed her forehead softly, well aware that was the case. "And I want to thank you."

Looking down, Matt was confused. "For what?" Turning her head, Alex smiled as she looked up at the man of her dreams. "For giving me the life we've always wanted with each other. I know we had a rough road to get here, but us being here at the end of the day is all that matters in my opinion." Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife, as he felt the same way. As long as they're here with each other, then that's all that matters…which is precisely what he decided to show his gorgeous wife as he bent down and proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves. The woman he craves more than anything in the entire world and is very proud to call her his own. After which, he watched as she bent down and kissed his chest again. "You getting tired?" Alex took a breath as Matt asked her whether she was starting to get tired. "Sorry." Matt shook her head, as she has nothing to apologize for. If she's getting tired, then they can fall asleep and just take it easy with each other. "If you're tired babe, then we can go to bed and just go to sleep."

Alex agreed with Matt, as she appreciates that. "I appreciate that and I think that's precisely what I want to do if that's okay?" Matt nodded, as it's more than okay. "It's more than okay." Reaching over, Matt smiled as he proceeded to turn off his bedside lamp; after which, he pressed his lips to her forehead as he gave her a sweet kiss. "I love you Alex." Alex agreed with her husband. "I love you too Matt." Pressing his lips to her forehead once more, Matt smiled as she and Matt both held each other close here in the comfort of their bed as a way to take it nice and easy with each other. And let's just say that they're both very happy that they're doing this.

Alex's Final Thoughts on December 2nd:
As I cuddled up to Matt and just held him close to me on our third day as husband and wife, the third day where we're falling asleep in each other's arms as husband and wife…I couldn't help but think about just how truly lucky I am to have such an incredible husband who I get to love each and every day for the rest of my life. He's such a great guy and there are times where I really don't feel worthy to be his wife. But, he chose me and that makes me happy. It makes me happy due to the fact that this is the life I've always wanted to live. And now that me and Matt have this life with each other, there's no way that we'd ever let it go. We're going to hold on to each other close for the rest of our lives, as we just take it easy and concentrate on each other; and someday, our family. The beautiful children I can already see me and having due to the fact that we love each other too much to not have children.

Matt's Final Thoughts on December 2nd:
Laying down here in bed with Alex on my chest as we fell asleep in each other's arms for the third time as husband and wife, I just smiled as I enjoyed the feeling that came with having Alex all cuddled up to me on my chest. The feeling of her breasts on my body, the feeling of her running her hand all over my body as she kissed it with her lips. Now, that's paradise and precisely what I want to feel as I drift off to sleep with the woman I love on my chest. And when I say that she's the woman I love, I truly mean that due to the fact that these are just feelings that I'll never be able to deny. There's just something about Alex that makes me want to smile all the time, so that's precisely what I do when we're together. I smile all the time as I make sure that we're both happy all the time. And as we held each other close right now in bed, I just knew: we were happy and madly in love with each other right now.
