As Donnie drives the tank, Jase and Jeremy look around the inside of the vehicle in awe.
"Whoa, you gotta tell me how you got some of these cool stuff," The African American boy states, genuinely impressed.
Donnie chuckles proudly. "Well, I'm glad you ask; you see, the thing is–"
"Hey, how about we stay on track on what's important right now!" Kendra interrupts, impatiently. "For the last time, von Ryan, where are you taking us?"
"We're here now," Donnie says, pressing a button to open the tank's door. The Purple Dragons walk outside to see the Stock n' Shop grocery store in front of them.
"Um... what are we doing at a grocery store?" Jase asks.
"According to Donnie, the person we're looking for works here," Shelldon explains to the bespectacled teen.
"Correct, now, we need to play things smooth if we want his help, so follow my lead," The turtle instructs.
"Wait, since when did you start giving out orders?" Kendra asks, incredibly.
"Since it was my drone who suggested that we team up," Donnie replied, smugly. The lilac-haired girl growls at this.
The teens walk towards the front door and enter the shop. They see that it's not as busy as they had thought. Luckily for the softshell, it was a good thing... for them of course.
"So... who is this guy again? There's hardly anyone here," Jeremy speaks up, looking around the almost empty store.
"You'll see," Donnie says to him.
They then reach an employee who was stacking cans in one of the aisles. Donnie clears his throat to gain his attention. "Excuse me, sir. Do you know if your co-worker is here today? He's about 8-9 years old, has square glasses, and how do you say... intellectually gifted."
The young man stared at the turtle and turned his head towards a wall. "Hey Baxter, there's a group of teenagers here to see you! One is green with a flying robot, and the other three has matching jackets!"
The next thing the group knows, a huge portion of the wall flew past in front of them, causing their eyes to grow big in shock. They turn to their left to see none other than Baxter Stockboy himself. He was holding a controller while coughing from from the dust. The Purple Dragons blink at him; he was not what they expect, honestly.
"Wait, this is the guy we're asking for help?" Kendra asks in disbelief. "He's just a kid."
"Hey! I'll have you know that my Microbots are just as advanced as any other piece of tech, or my name isn't Baxter Stockboy!" The little boy shouts at her.
"Hold on a sec... "Stockboy"?... is that seriously your name?" Jeremy questions as he and his teammates start to laugh. Even Shelldon snickered a bit.
Baxter scowls at being laughed at and presses a button on his remote. Suddenly, three microbots came out from the giant hole and walked up to the Dragons. They open their mouths to bite down on their ankles, causing them to shout at the pain.
"Ow! Why, you good-for-nothing twit!" Kendra growls, angrily. "I'll make you regret doing that!"
"Tsk. I like to see to see you try, teal lips," The young boy taunts as she scowls at the insult and lame nickname. The two shoot daggers at each other with sparks flying between their eyes. Shelldon flies in to push them away from one another.
"Okay, that's enough," Donnie says, focusing his gaze on Baxter. "Listen kid, our belongings got stolen by a certain group of delinquents with star badges. We are asking kindly for your assistance to get them back."
"Pass," Baxter dismissed. "I'm working on my latest plan to get people to finally subscribe and donate to my videos... which is experiencing a few bugs." He gesture to a machine behind the destroyed wall.
Jase raises a brow. "You only use your creations just to get money? That's kinda bogus, even for a kid."
The boy genius twitched his eye in annoyance. Donnie steps in between the two.
"Knock it off. Okay, Stockboy, how about this; I'll help with your machine in exchange for helping us track down these thieves. Deal?" The purple-clad mutant extends a hand.
"Hmm... deal!" Baxter shakes his hand in agreement. "Just let me get the equipment that I need for this heist of yours."
