There they were. Back in the building all safe and sound. They were in the area with the TV and couch with the giant window. Where Fry and Bender usually sat down and watched "All My Circuits" at break time.

But Bender was different. He had a blanket draped around his shoulders, a coffee mug of booze in his hands. He was shivering as if he were cold, the two symmetric horizontal lines on his mouthplate making a chattering motion. His digits tensed and untensed on the handle of the mug. His square black pupils darting around back and forth. He was still wearing Fry's jacket.

No one had expected to see Bender like this. They were trying to look at his injuries but the bending unit refused to let them touch him. He looked terrified each time one of them approached.

Zoidbergs claws snapped a few times but he tried to be as quiet as he could. He didn't want to alarm the robot at all. They all turned down any sound on devices. Right now, all the attention was on Bender.

Usually, Bender would be relishing in it. Basking in his newfound glory. Being actually appreciated for another once in his life.

Except, now, he wasn't. He didn't seem happy to be the focus of everything. He was tearing up again. This wasn't normal nor was it good. Bender was never like this. What did the man do?

Fry was the only one allowed to come and touch him. The only one that Bender allowed psychical contact with. The human kissed the robot on the mouthplate and then on his cheek over and over. He was hugging Bender tightly and protectively, but not too much as he didn't want to hurt him. Even though Bender was a robot, and not a human, Fry still felt like it was necessary.

The orange haired man looks at the shaking robot and frowns, "Bender?" The bot in question looks up at the meatbag. He couldn't get any sort of sassy remark out like usual. He couldn't even make a comeback. All he could do was stare and tremble.

Fry continues with what he was going to say, "can we please look at if he damaged you?"

The units eyes widened, he backs away from the human instantly, getting out of Fry's grip. He shakes his head side to side intensely. Fry sighs, "Bender please...we need to get you fixed.." he begs out in a sad voice. But Bender really didn't want to. He didn't want to be hurt again, he didn't want to be yelled at, he didn't want to be punished. So many parts of him were stolen. How did he know it wouldn't happen again?

Leela comes over slowly, not wanting to scare the bending unit even more. She sits down next to the two and carefully takes the robots only metal hand in her own. It makes Bender tense and she could feel it. Fry frowns at his boyfriend, "look, I'll hold your hand the whole time baby, please?" He begs, "for me?"

Bender thinks to himself. He was scared. No, scratch scared. He was horrified. But Fry really wanted him to be fixed. He always did what Fry wanted or asked him to. He lets out a shaky sigh and then he nods, a single tear escaping his visor.

The human smiles and picks his boyfriend up gently placing him on the coffee table area where they usually put their feet up on. While he does this, he takes Benders halfway torn off hand in his own fleshy one. He could feel the robot squeeze it tightly, crushing the meatbags bones. Fry didn't mind the pain at the moment, he didn't care, all he wanted was for Bender to be okay again.

Farnsworth came over and Bender wanted to get away but he couldn't. He only could make a whimper sound emit from his voice box.

Fry seems to get the hint, "we talked to him, he'll never do anything like that again" he whispers to the robot. It lessened Benders worries and gears but didn't wash them away completely though.

The professor looks at the damages. Antenna was broken in half, his right eye seems a little weird, there was scratch and burn marks all over him. Benders arm was torn off and missing. His only remaining hand was halfway torn off its joint. Benders leg tube had a crack in it that made the lower part of his leg hang off by a thread. It seemed like it was going to snap off and second. Wires stuck out from many places and they seemed to spark. There was outlines in where Owen had cut into the robot where the man had taken parts.

"It will take a bit" Farnsworth starts, "but I can fix him right up and he'll be the same old Bender we know" he gives a smile. Everyone cheers. "Let's get started" the professor says putting on gloves and getting out a toolbox.

It was a struggle. Bender kept thrashing around so much that the whole crew had to hold him down still. He was crying out loud like he was in absolute agony. It was such a high pitch too that it almost made everyone's ears bleed.

After a while, Bender looked like Bender. His arm was back. The wires and cracks had either been put back in correctly or replaced with another piece.

Bender was now on Fry's lap, burying his visor into the chest of Fry's white T-shirt. His sobbing was calming down as his boyfriend rubbed circles on his back and whispered loving things to him. He gave Benders head kisses every once in a while. The robot was still trembling but he was better now.

"I'm gonna take him back to our apartment for the week" Fry says. Farnsworth nods. Bender deserved a break after everything he has been through. He ushered the two off and sighed, he needed to apologize to Bender when the robot was back to normal.

If he'd ever be...
