James was left in such a bashful state. His head was hung down, trying to avoid eye contact with Trickster. Trickster sat back down in the seat across the table and looked at James while giggling a little as he observed James being a shy mess.

"Geez James, you're that easy to get flustered? Damn!" Trickster snorted. He was just finding the whole thing amusing.

James slowly looked up, looking at the Toon that had his pac man eyes squinted. James just rolled his eyes, then looked away.

Bendy was just standing on the chair, looking at both James and Trickster.

"Bendy, sit down," James said, trying to distract himself from Trickster. He picked Bendy up and sat him down on the booth chair properly.

"Sooo, teasing aside, you doing alright?" James heard Trickster ask.

He looked up after dealing with Bendy. "Huh? What do you mean?"

Trickster shrugged. "You doing okay? Like, how are you holding up? I mean, you are stuck here after all. I don't wanna know that you are silently panicking," He said, with full concern in his voice.

"O-Oh," James said figuring out what Trickster had meant. "To be honest... I'm doing alright, weird enough. I mean, yes, I do miss my family, but it's me the one who is stuck, not them. They don't need me to survive," James said giving a little shrug. "I just wouldn't want them to worry about me, cause I'm going okay,"

James saw Trickster nod.

"And you're making it fun for me..." James mumbled, blushing as he spoke.

Trickster tilted his head. "What you said?"

"I... um..." James looked up. "You're making it fun for me. I feel... safe around you,"

Trickster gasped a little, as those cartoon lines shot up from his head. "Awww, really?" He said with a warm voice, as he placed his hands on his chest, as grey hearts started to rise up from his head, then pop.

Massively blushing, James stammered, "Tr-Tricks!" feeling his heart ache at Trickster's animated display.

"You're order sirs—"

"Ahh!" James gasped, and looked up at the waiter. "Oh- oh... I... um...," James's eyes drifted over to Trickster and saw him snickering at him.

James blinked, then looked up at Linguini. "Oh... thanks!"

Linguini took the plates off of the stand, then handed Bendy his. "Here's the tartiflette for the little devil Toon," he said. Bendy smiled and hopped up and down.

"Bendy, sit," James said as he sat Bendy down again. Bendy pouted.

"And here's the Ratatouille for the classic Toon," He said as he gave Trickster his plate.

"And here's the other ratatouille for the human,"

James gasped as he looked down at his dish. "Woah..." He said it in awe. It looked just like the dish from the movie.

"James, you okay?" Trickster snorted as he saw James acting like this.

"Yeah..." James spoke. "Oh my gosh..." He said as he took the fork up.

Trickster giggled. "James, you're acting like you've never seen food before?"

James sighed, then looked up. "Trickster, shut up!" he retorted, attempting to sound annoyed but breaking into giggles.

Trickster giggled along with him.

"Ugh, I just never actually had Ratatouille before! And this is the one from the Pixar movie!" James exclaimed before taking a bite. "Oh my god, this is amazing..." he said, savoring the flavor.

Trickster put his elbow on the table, resting his head on his hand. "Better than the anime soup?" he teased with a smirk.

"To be honest, I don't know...," James said as he looked up, then took another bite of his Ratatouille. "I've had Toon food before, but as I said, it was just the food stands. I had no idea the restaurants were free too!" James melted as he took another bite. He was in love with how the Ratatouille tasted.

He looked over at Bendy. "Hey, Bend, how are you enjoying your food-," James gasped as he saw Bendy sitting there with his belly pushed out a little. James looked over at the dish, and it was empty.

"Oh- wow! Geez Bendy! You ate it all that quickly?"

Bendy burped, then covered his mouth looking around.

James blinked, then looked over at Trickster. "This guy's more of a Toon than you," James said making a single chuckle. "You haven't even started your dish yet,"

Trickster laughed a little. "Hey, I'm a slow eater. But I can eat fast if I want to~"

James just rolled his eyes and started to eat more. "It's funny... You're a black and white Toon, but I haven't seen you do most... things those types of Toon did, and still do,"

"Oh yeah? What do you mean?" Trickster as he twirled his fork in his food.

"Like, for one, you don't do that arm movement," James said.

Trickster tilted his head. "Arm movement?"

"Yeah, I don't know what's it called...," James slid out from the booth, then stood up, "This thing-," James stood in place, his arms slowly moving up and down as he stayed stationary.

Trickster blinked, then laughed at this. "Okay, seeing a human do that looks cursed,"

James stopped and then felt embarrassed. "Oh shush," He giggled.

Giggling, Trickster shook his head. "Nah," He started to answer James's question. "I haven't done that in a while,"

"Why not?" James asked.

"Well..." Trickster sighed. "It's been so long since I starred in a cartoon, James. I'm slowly losing my slapstick personality," Trickster confessed with a tinge of sadness.

James noticed it, and then looked up at Trickster. "Oh? Are you sure?"

"Yeah," Trickster said. "I've pretty much lost all my mannerisms of a slapstick Toon. I try to cling to obvious things, like the pie throwing, and doing certain pranks, but that's about it. I've gone lost my entire way of speaking my old-timey accent-," Trickster sighed. "When a Toon is left without a cartoon for so long, they end up changing,"

James nodded. "Yeah, I know, you told me about that," He said. "I'm so sorry about this, man..."

Trickster smiled warmly at him. "It's okay James," He said. Then, he continued to talk. "And it's funny, there's more than a Toon's character that can morph when they're left cartoonless,"

James tilted his head. "And what's that?"

"A Toon's voice," Trickster told him. "A Toon is supposed to carry a voice- that was made from a human. A human speaks a few words, and Toon magic does its thing, and a Toon is created with this said human's voice. But, if a Toon has no cartoon to star in for years, their voice can change. Especially if they're around other Toons," Trickster took a bite of his food. "I know... I know my voice was those old timy voices you'd hear on old cartoons, or old human sitcoms. But I had lost that accent... maybe if I was only around classic Toons, I wouldn't have lost it,"

James listened to everything Trickster had said to him. He had no idea that's how Toons got their voices. He knew that had to use humans, but he wasn't sure of the process behind it.

"If you think that's the reason, why didn't you spend more time with those classic Toons?"

Trickster looked away. "They're... not around much anymore. They keep in these days and don't deal with people. Toon, or human,"

James blinked. "Are you sure? I remember last year they had a meet and greet made just for classic Toons like that. I couldn't go sadly, because I was out of state, but I heard a lot of people went. So... what do you mean they keep in? I wish I could have gone. I love old cartoons, as you know."

He saw that Trickster wouldn't make eye contact with them.

"Trickster? Is... something wrong?"

"I... I don't know what's wrong with me... I just... um... I... I don't know,"

James tilted his head. He thought about it, and he instantly knew what was wrong with Trickster. "Trickster... do you have anxiety?"

James saw lines shot out of Trickster's and, as he looked up.

"Um...? I- I don't know... how can a Toon like myself have that..." Trickster said looking away.

"Trix, you're still a living thing. There's no reason why you couldn't have it," James said. He smiled warmly at Trickster.

Trickster sighed. "I don't know- I just feel everyone judges me sometimes,"

"I don't... and neither does Luz," James said.

Trickster looked up at James. "I- I know," He smiled. "And I'm super grateful for that... I just feel so self-conscious about being a black and white Toon in this modern Toon era," Trickster said, "I feel so out of place. It's either modern Toons calling me 'oldie' to tease me, or the few who look at me as a relic, and call me 'The Classic Toon'. I hate praise. Especially when that's all someone does," Trickster covered his face. "I just want someone just to see me as a Toon, and just... not bother me,"

Trickster felt someone sit beside him. He looked up from his hands and saw James. "Oh..." He said blushing a bit.

"You just want a friend. And I'm happy that Luz is there for you," James said.

Trickster looked at James and smiled at him. "Yeah. Too bad her show's gonna get canceled... I don't want her to go through what I went through. The show couldn't even have at least 5 seasons. Ugh, stupid Disney and their shitty rules," Trickster said folding his arms with a pout, as he looked forward.

James sighed, then hugged Trickster up to him.

Trickster glanced down at James, then smiled softly. "You're the sweetest human I've ever met," He said as hearts hovered out from his head. "You said Luz is my friend... but so are you. There's something special with you, I don't... know what it is,"

James looked up at Trickster, reddening a bit.

Trickster chuckled. "Maybe it could be love~?" He said with a smirk.

James blushed, then looked away. "Really, we should change your name to The Teaser. Your nickname: Teasey,"

Trickster snorted. "Oh shut up,"

They finished their meal and got dessert.

James wanted some macarons. He was surprised to see that they were available, but, this is a French restaurant, so that was probably obvious. Trickster didn't know what it was, but James had them a few times, and they're his favorite. So he persuaded his Toon friend to get some.

Bendy, also wanted them to try.

When they finally came, Trickster tried them, and he loved them. "Woah... these... how do they taste so good?" He asked James as he took another.

James giggled. "I told you! I had them a few times back in LA," He took the chocolate one. "The chocolate-flavored one has always been my favorite,"

Trickster looked at the macarons. "I think... the raspberry one is my favorite," He said as he ate another.

James smiled, then looked over at Bendy. "Which one is yours Bendy?"

Bendy put his hand to his chin. Then, he pointed to all of them. James giggled, "You like em' all huh?"

Bendy nodded, smiling.

James, Trickster, and Bendy walked out of the restaurant and were walking back down the path. It was the middle of the afternoon now, as the Toon sun was nearly about to set.

"Well, that was good," Trickster said patting his stomach.

James nodded. "It sure was," He beamed. "Bendy enjoyed himself too," He said as he picked Bendy up, setting him on his shoulders.

"We can walk around a bit more," Trickster spoke. "Or do you want to head back to Luz? Or back to Merlin?"

"Where is Luz and the rest anyways?" James asked.

"They're probably in their fake town. Luz had given me a phone just a few weeks ago," Trickster said as he fished into his pockets. "To call her in case of anything," He took his phone out and then looked at James. "Wait... oh rats!" Trickster grunted. "I forgot there's been no signal,"

James tilted his head. "Oh! Right... yeah, if there was, I'd have called my parents already,"

Trickster put his phone back in his pocket. "I'm still sure Luz is her in fake town. We can just make a pit stop there, then we can head back to Merlin. Cause' you look exhausted," Trickster said with a little soft giggle as he looked at James.

"Huh? I'm tired? I don't feel tired..." James said as he blinked, with a tired-like expression.

"Your eyes look droopy," Trickster said. "Come, we'll just be quick with Luz, then we'll get back to Merlin,"

They both walked over to the tunnel way that led back to the 2D portion of Toon Town. At that big park area that had the two tunnel ways the left and right. "Those lead to the Pocket Town things right?" James asked.

Trickster nodded. "Yeah," He was about to walk off, but then he saw something that he wanted James to see. "Hey, James, you see that?"

James looked at Trickster, then where he was pointing. "Huh? What?" He followed Trickster's pointing finger, looking at one of the entrances for the pocket towns, or, fake towns. He saw Ryder from Paw Patrol again. Wondering why Trickster was showing him Ryder, James's eyes moved a little bit to the right, then saw... Ryder again.

There were two Ryder's standing next to each other.

James blinked. "Huh? Why are there two of the same Toons?" But the looked a little closer and saw that the other Ryder looked a little more detailed. James was wondering why that was, but then Trickster started to talk.

"Remember how I said if they reboot a show they have to draw a Toon over?"

James thought, but then he nodded, as to him remembering that. "Yeah, I remember you saying that,"

"Well, that's it, kind of. The less detailed Ryder is from the Paw Patrol TV Show, and the more detailed one is from the Paw Patrol movie," Trickster explained.

James blinked. "Oh!" He said. "Wow, really? I didn't know that's what they did? I always assumed they would... like change a Toon manually," He asked, looking at Trickster.

Trickster shook his head. "Nah, they haven't used any modifications like that. Ever since they got rid of the Toon Conversion Machine, anything in that regard hasn't been done,"

They both started to walk off, to get to Luz's home.

"Wait... Toon Conversion Machine?" James tilted his head. "The hell is that?"

"I don't blame you for not knowing. They didn't want people to know they used it, because it was deemed unstable," Trickster spoke.

"What was it?" James asked.

"It basically can convert a human being, into a Toon for a brief moment,"

James gasped, "Woah, seriously?! How I never heard about that?"

"As I said, there was a controversy with it. Especially after the Dip incident. They've filmed a few movies that had people converted into Toons, but only a few," Trickster said.

James wanted to know which ones those were. "Do you know which ones those were?"

"Yeah, I do. They used it in the film Pagemaster, to turn Macaulay Culkin into a Toon version of himself," Trickster said.

James gasped. "Wait seriously?! I didn't know that! Pagemaster is one of my favorite movies!" He said, blinking at Trickster. "Oh wow..." He shook his head. "I watched that movie when I was very young, and I wanted to meet Richard after I watched it at that age, and my parents brought me to Toon Town, and we couldn't find Richard anywhere. And people acted like they didn't know what The Pagemaster even was...," James scratched his head. "So I guess there really was a controversy... but why?"

Trickster shrugged. "No idea," He said. "Maybe it has something to do with Dip, but this was way past the Dip incident. Pagemaster came out in 1994, the Dip crap was in the 40s,"

James just shrugged, as they entered into the tunnel. "Guess we'll never know,"

The huge hallway, which was made out of concrete, had many different openings on either side that led to different fictional towns. "Wow..." James said as he looked at them all. There were DC comics, that had Metropolis, Gotham City, Central City, Coast City, and many other towns that are located in those comics.

There were even Marvel Towns, you could go into the entirety of New York, from Marvel's perspective.

"The Boiling Isle is down there," Trickster said, pointing to the end.

James looked and saw that was the the last one on the right.

"I guess I haven't been here for a while. You said this is new tech?" James asked. "Cause I don't remember these fake towns at all,"

Trickster nodded, "Yeah it is, but don't let that fool you thinking they never had things like this in the past. You see the very big thing at the end of the hallway?"

There was a big round gateway at the end of the hallway. The words "Two-Tone Town" Were above it in the entranceway.

James blinked. "Two-Tone Town? Wasn't that... isn't that that a thing from Tiny Toons?"

Trickster nodded. "Yep! The entrance used to be at a different side of the entire Town, but once they started making these other Pocket Towns, they moved it here to be the hub. At least the classic Toons have a place to live closer to everything,"

James looked at it, then looked at Trickster. "Why you don't stay in there?"

Trickster stopped talking for a moment. "I told you... sometimes I don't think they like me..."

James just smiled softly, then put his arm around Trickster. "Don't worry about it, okay?"

Trickster just smiled softly. "Yeah."
