Here's the new chapter. Sorry for the wait, hope you guys enjoy this chapter as we watch Kimi going through some changes. By the way, I wanted to have Kimi be in a P.E. class since she's the only member of the Rugrats who didn't show up once in any gym class.
It's a normal day at school. The gang are in P.E. class as everyone is doing their warm-up sessions on the field. Most of the students are having trouble doing push-ups. Everyone but Kimi. Kimi is able to push herself off the ground with ease. The same goes for sit-ups and pull-ups.
Lil is sitting on a bench drinking water as Kimi came up to her, looking very active "Man, I feel great today. Thought I was going to collapse out from exhaustion." Said Kimi sitting down beside Lil with her face towards the sky.
"I say, I never seen you so energized Kimi. It's like you're trying to burn off some energy. Aren't you a bit tired after all of that warm-up?" Lil asked her friend as Kimi shook her head "Nope, which is funny. I'm not feeling a bit tired once."
"Not a little bit?"
Kimi shook her head once more "Nope. Not even a little bit."
They then hear the couch blowing her whistle "Okay, girls. Next is the jumping distance." Said the couch.
Everyone got in a line as each student ran and jump. With the couch marking down their score. Lil waits her turn with Kimi behind her. Lil turned to Kimi "By the way. Since you're all better, still up for helping Tommy with his film?" Lil asked Kimi.
"Well, obviously. What kind of friend would I be if I couldn't."
"Just want to make sure. Never really know, right."
"DeVille! You're up next!" Shout the couch.
Lil walked forward and lowered herself in position. The couch put the whistle in her mouth, then blew it. Lil ran and jumped over the sandy course before landing. The couch then writes it down "Not bad DeVille. Alright Finster, you're up!"
Kimi stepped forward and lowered herself in position as well. Once the whistle blew Kimi bolted. And she jumped, she jumped across the whole course and landed a little farther than the sand course. The whole class awe in surprised even Lil. The couch was even impressed by it "Impressive Finster. You just broke a school record. Good job." The couch gave Kimi some compliments to her.
"Thanks couch." Kimi thanked her with a bow, before she joined Lil who is looking really amazed by Kimi jump "Wow, Kimi! That's pretty amazing! I never seen you jump so far." Said Lil amazed.
"Sucks, it was really nothing." Kimi rubs her head embarrassed before looking back at the jumping course "How did I even do that? That's the first time I able jump across easily." Kimi thought to herself.
Sitting at the bleachers watching the students is Susie Carmichael. She watches Lil and Kimi doing some morning exercises. She's pretty surprised when she saw Kimi able to jump over the jumping distance course "Whoa, since when does Kimi able to do that?" Susie thought to herself.
"There you are." Susie turned her head to see Angelica walking up the steps as she joins her "Been looking all over for you. Why are you out here?" Angelica asked as she sat down by her childhood friend.
"Oh, hey Angelica. Just watching Lil and Kimi doing morning exercises." Said Susie after greeting her friend "You just missed something really interesting."
"Really? Like what?" She asked.
"I saw Kimi jump across the jumping distance course. Like, really across the course." Susie told her.
Angelica looked at her confused before looking at Kimi. Who is chatting with Lil. Angelica looks back at her friend with doubt "Finster?" Angelica points her with her thumb "You saw Finster jumped across?" With Susie nodding "That's right. Leaped across the air with great distance." Susie used her hand as she waved across the air.
Angelica doesn't believe this as she raised a brow "You expect me to believe that Kimi somehow leaps across the sand course?" Angelica questioned her friend.
"I know it sounds crazy. But I'm telling you girl, that Kimi really did jump across." Susie tells Angelica the truth.
While the two teens are talking. Both Kimi and Lil heard the whistle as their couch got her students' attention "Alright everyone, last exercise for today is running. Three laps around the field." Said the couch as she motions her hand "Everyone line up in a straight line."
Everyone got in position in a straight line. With Kimi and Lil shoulder to shoulder. They all lowered themselves in running position. The couch has her stopwatch out "Ready… Set…" Everyone getting ready.
Kimi, however, her hearing deafens as the only thing she could hear is her heart beating. Soon the couch blew the whistle. All the students then started to sprint forward. All but Kimi. Her surroundings slowed down as her heartbeats faster. Her eyes flashed yellow as her legs bulged. She then sprints forward.
In a flash, Kimi quickly ran past everyone. Taking the lead. Shocking her classmates when they felt a gust of wind blowing past them. Kimi ran fast as if she never run before. Her ears ringing as her blood are pumping faster through her veins. Her heart racing as if she's chasing after something. Huffing out breaths as she ran. An urge of excitement surged through her. As if she's picturing chasing down an animal. Kimi slowly smiled, she never felt so alive. As if something weighing her down has been lifted off from her.
She quickly ran past the bleachers where Angelica and Susie are at. Both of them stared at Kimi surprised "Whoa! Am I seeing things, or did Finster really just ran past?" Angelica asked, keeping her eyes on Kimi.
"You're not seeing things girl. Didn't expect Kimi be so light on her feet." Susie replied.
Kimi soon finished the first lap before catching up with the other students. Running past her friend Lil. As Lil looked at Kimi with confusion "Kimi already did a lap?! Just how fast is she?!" Lil thought, surprised.
After some time passes Kimi is able to finish her third lap around the field before sitting down as the couch writes down her score. Kimi is catching her breath while sweating. She finds it weird that she actually able to run around three laps without stopping. But the part is that she actually enjoyed it. Enjoying the running, feeling the breeze as she ran. She doesn't know why, but she actually liked it. As if it gave her a calm yet excited feel.
Lil is able to finish her laps as she joins Kimi. She sat down by her as she's breathing heavily, catching her breath. She turned her head to look at Kimi "Man Kimi… what did… you ate this morning…? You ran so fast I couldn't catch up." Said Lil.
Kimi didn't respond to her as she just laid back with her face towards the sky. Knowing that Lil wouldn't get an answer from her decided to wait until class was over. The two sat in silence while the other students were finishing their laps.
Once the hallways are filled up with students. Both Lil and Kimi joined the others as Lil told the guys want happened in gym class "And before I know it. Kimi was already done with three laps." Said Lil finishing her story with the boys.
"Yeah, its like Kimi went on full Sonic on the course. Me and Angelica barely kept track on her." Said Susie.
"Wow. Is that true Kimi? You really finished the course under few minutes?" Chuckie asked his sister who was rubbing her neck.
"Pretty much." Kimi replied embarrassed.
"Man, now that what I call serious stamina." Said Phil elbowing his twin sister arm.
"I didn't know you could run that fast Kimi. In fact, we never really see you run that fast at all." Tommy told her in a confused tone.
"That's what I thought too." Said Angelica before she faced Kimi "How did you really do it Finster? Where did all that energy come from? No one but athletes can run that fast." Angelica questioned.
"I wished I know." Kimi answered but not really know herself "I can't even understand why I find it exciting." Kimi thought to herself.
Suddenly, she smells something. Making her eyes shot up and standing straight. Something hits her nostrils. Closing her eyes, she started to sniff the air. Sniffing around while her brother and friends looked at her confused "Do you guys' smell that?" Kimi asked them still has her eyes closed, still sniffing the air.
"Smell what?" Tommy asked as Lil smelt as well. Only plugging her nose with disgust "The only thing I smell is Phil armpits." Said Lil with her nose block.
Phil lifts up his arm and smell his armpit "It doesn't smell that bad." Phil defending himself.
"Not that." Kimi sniffs again "Something smell really (Sniff) good." Kimi licks her lips.
Suddenly, the lunch bell rings singling that its lunchtime "Oh boy! There's the lunch bell!" Said Phil excited as he quickly went to the school cafeteria.
"Maybe Kimi just smells the school's food." Said Angelica as she went to lunch along with Susie and Lil.
"Kimi it's lunchtime." Said Chuckie as Kimi still sniffing the empty air.
"Go on ahead without me. I'll… catch up." Kimi told Chuckie without looking at him as she decided to follow the smell. Walking down the hall opposite way towards the cafeteria.
Chuckie and Tommy watched Kimi walking away as she turned the corner. Chuckie looking worried "Is it just me? Or is Kimi acting differently than usual?" Chuckie asked his best friend.
"I don't know about 'differently', but she seems still the same Kimi we all know." Tommy replied as he touches Chuckie shoulder "I'm sure it's nothing to concern about. Let's head to lunch and wait for her."
Chuckie looked at Tommy before sighing. Giving a nod, he and Tommy walked towards the school cafeteria.
Walking down the hall, Kimi still sniffing the air. She got on all fours sniffing the floor like a dog. Luckily for her the hallway is empty as she continues to follow the scent. She stood back up while her eyes remind close "This smell… Just what is it?" Kimi thought to herself "It smells like the food mom always makes for dinner. No, more like a burger. Or maybe a steak. But more delicious!" Kimi grinning, picturing different kinds of food which involves meat.
Thinking about it made her mouth a bit watery. The scent she's following is getting stronger as she gets closer to the source. She bumped into something. Opening her eyes, she gave a smile. But she looked confused. Standing outside at the doorway to the girl's restroom. Kimi raises her brow confused. Is this where the wonderful smell is coming from? Sniffing the air again, she can definitely smell the scent coming from behind the door. Stronger this time.
Her stomach gave a growl as she smelled the scent. The wonderful, delicious smell. Kimi opened her mouth as she gave an eager look "What a delicious smell. It smells so good that I can almost taste it."
As Kimi opened the door, she got hit by a much stronger scent. Her eyes are closed as the smell gotten even stronger. She walked in, taking in the delightful smell. Listening to the door closing behind her Kimi slowly opened her eyes. Her expression then changed from happy to shock.
By the sink is another girl student. Standing over the sink with paper towel over her nose. The paper towel is stained with blood as well as the sink. The girl stared at Kimi with surprised "Oh hey… sorry. I-I'm just using the restroom because…" The girl explaining to Kimi was her nose is now gushing out blood "Shit… Sorry my nose is broken. Someone hit me when they opened their locker by accident. Sorry you have to see me like this."
Kimi was barely listening to what she saying as the girl wasn't focusing on her. Her face shows a horrifying expression as she stares at the sink. That the wonderful smell she was smelling. It's actually blood she smells. The blood filled the restroom with its scent. Kimi just kept staring at the bloody sink, the bloody towel papers littered on the counter, and the girl bloody nose. As the smell of blood overwhelmed her. Causing her to lick her lips. Suddenly, she felt something wet on her chest. Looking down at her chest, her shirt has a wet spot. The floor suddenly got hit by droplets of water. Feeling a wet and cold sensation on her chin, she touches it. Feeling something wet and sticky. A sudden realization hits her. She is drooling.
Her mouth becoming watery. As her saliva coming out like a waterfall. Sliding down her chin. Not only that, but her stomach also growled in hunger. Kimi is starting to hyperventilate. She's trying to wipe her mouth with her arms and hands. But the saliva kept on coming out. Panicking Kimi grabbing the paper towels, covering her mouth with them. As her drool kept coming. Soaking the paper towel. Kimi breathing through her nose, all she could smell was the blood. Kimi wanted to puke, wanted to get the hell out of the room. But she couldn't move her legs. It's like her instinct is telling her to stay. Telling her to eat. Kimi eyes became bloodshot. With her face sweating bullets. As if she's about to lose control of herself.
"Hey." Kimi jolted as she turned her head towards the girl. Who is looking at Kimi oddly "Are you okay?" She asked with the paper towel on her nose.
"Y-Yeah! Yeah! S-Sorry to disturb you!" Kimi apologized through the paper towel over her mouth as she backs up the door "Y-You b-better see the nurse! S-See ya!" Kimi leaves the restroom, leaving the confuse the girl alone.
Kimi ran down the hall away from the restroom. Away from the smell. Once she was far away, she removed the paper towel as she exhaled. Drops of sweat fell from her face as she took in deep breaths. She can still smell the blood. She covered her mouth as she gagged. Falling to her knees with her left hand resting against the locker.
Kimi doesn't understand. Why is she smelling the blood coming from the girl? And why does she have a craving for it? Wanting to get far away from it, Kimi decides to join her friends at lunch. Walking away before throwing the paper towel away. All she wants is to forget what she experiences in the restroom.
