"Alright, does anyone mind telling me what the Heart String curse is?" asked Daring as he stood in the crowd of students.

"It's a curse which connects a couple's hearts with a magical string that only they can normally see unless they wish to reveal it to others," said the Evil Queen.

"The good thing is that it will let you know when the other is in danger or thinking of you, but the downside is that you both will die if something happens to only one of you," she said.

"Which is why I know that Raven is still in there, because the curse would have killed me if she was not," said Apple before her magic traveled the string.

"Oh no you don't!" said the Evil Queen as she used her magic to stop the blonde's. However, Apple's magic did not even slow down and instead went through the Evil Queen's magic on its way to her heart.

"I couldn't stop it?!" thought the evil witch with a shocked look in her eyes. Meanwhile, deep inside Raven's subconscious she was floating in a black void.

"I'm a monster," said Raven as she cried.

"Raven… Raven!" called Apple's voice in a ghostly tone.

"Who… who's there?!" asked a terrified Raven.

"It's me, Raven," said Apple while appearing before the witch in a flash of light.

"Apple, you shouldn't be near me, I may hurt you by accident," said Raven who tried to put distance between them but found she was unable to move and instead continued to float where she had been.

"None of that was your fault, your mom planned all of this," said Apple.

"She used a spell to put a part of her soul in your body, that's what has been making you feel so guilty and messing with you," she said.

"What?" asked a surprised Raven.

"Don't listen to her!" came the evil Raven's voice from all around the two of them.

"You know the truth and you also know that you should be locked away for what you have done, you don't deserve to be happy," she said.

"Leave my girlfriend alone!" said Apple, her magic aura flaring to life to fill the area with light. This also revealed the Evil Queen who had been standing off in the distance hidden by the darkness.
