Masha whistled cheerfully as they brought in a platter full of snacks into the living room of the Owl House. They'd done their best to acquire human food on the sly, which wasn't easy because they were officially a missing person in the Human Realm and their mother a wanted fugitive for technically kidnapping them. But they were absolutely certain their efforts wouldn't go to waste. It was going to be an unpleasant experience, their gut feeling was telling them, and the group was going to need all the help – and snacks – they could get.

"Who's ready to get this show on the road?" Masha said as they sat the platter down on the coffee table.

"I'm not!" Perry said in a panic. "No one said anything about moving to a new destination! It's hard enough getting a focus on these events in the Owl House, which is practically reverberating with old magic."

"It's a human expression, dad," Gus assured him. "It just means to get something started."

Perry breathed a sigh of relief. Edric picked up a bottle of orange juice and looked at it inquisitively. "Orange…juice. Huh. I wonder if that's anything like orange blood." He started to open up the bottle, but Amity bat it out of his hands.

"Not on your life, Edric," Amity hissed. "Orange juice is a hallucinogen to witches!"

"Awesome!" Masha said.

Edric put on his most innocent face. It would fool most anyone…who hadn't known him all his life like Amity did. "Thank you so much for saving me from such a horrible fate, dear sister!"

"You know very well what orange juice does to us, because I told you!" said Amity, who wasn't fooled for a moment by Edric's alleged innocence.

"I must have forgotten," Edric said, even more unconvincingly than before.

Eda snatched the bottle from the floor. "I'm just going to keep this away from the kids for…safekeeping. Yes. Safekeeping. That's it." Camila groaned, but didn't do anything else. Eda was a grown woman and an adult and frankly she'd seen her take worse.

"All right, no more lollygagging," Viney said with a scowl. She'd been waiting in suspense for just a day this time around, but it felt like an eternity with that cliffhanger. "Let's start already!"

[The scene opens with Luz, Amity, Hunter, Willow, Gus, Camila, Stringbean, Ghost, Clover and Emmeline on the platform inside of the Titan's skull. The platform suddenly starts to shake, surprising everyone. Ghost hisses. The scene cuts to a view of the platform from further away, and then fades to Gus, Willow and Hunter. Pink strings drop down from above and wrap around their arms.]

Perry, the Parks, and Camila all shouted their children's names, horrified at having the three of them ripped away so abruptly. With Belos now behind the Collector's actions, there was no telling what kind of a horrifying fate awaited them.

"Okay, this is happening pretty quickly," Luz observed.

[The trio gets pulled up by the strings. Willow and Gus gasp and scream as this is happening, with Willow briefly reaching upward to keep hold of Hunter's hand. The scene cuts to Camila, Ghost, Clover and Emmeline getting pulled up by similar pink strings. Camila cries out as she hugs the palismen tight.

"MOM!" Luz and Vee screamed, while Amity, Willow, and Gus called out for their palismen.

"I'm sure I'll be fine," Camila said, trying to exude a certainty she very much did not feel. Belos was not going to spare her because she was human, especially after she'd saved Hunter's life. The only reason she could think of to not kill her horribly was to use her as a hostage, but that opened up a whole new can of worms.

The scene then cuts to Luz and Amity. Luz calls out to Camila. Pink strings wrap around Amity and pull her up as well, causing her to cry out in surprise. Luz tries to reach her left arm out towards Amity and calls out to her.]

"Oh my God, it's going to be a total party kill," Luz said numbly. She didn't expect the Collector to get absolutely everyone.

"This is Belos behind all this," Hunter pointed out. "He's a sadist. He's not going to kill everyone right away. Not when he can use them to make you suffer."

"Um…thanks?"

Hunter gave her a thumbs up, completely oblivious to her sarcasm. "You're welcome, sis!"

[A bright flash suddenly appears behind Luz. She turns around to look at it, and she closes her eyes as the flash is too bright. The screen turns white. When the flash fades, the entrance to the In Between Realm appears. Luz wonders what's happening.]

"What am I doing back here?" Luz wondered. A horrible idea occurred to her. "Oh my gosh, am I dead?! Am I in purgatory?! Is that a thing here in the Boiling Isles?"

[Luz's right hand appears on screen as she tries to reach the portal. Papa Titan tries to call out to Luz, but she can't hear him. Luz starts recalling what happened as Papa Titan continues to call for her.]

King blinked. That voice…somehow he knew that voice…

Luz We were just about to rescue Eda and King...

[Luz continues with her recollections as Papa Titan calls her name. The scene cuts to a close up view of the Titan's eyes and nose, with the Titan still alive. A creature resembling Hooty can be seen coming out of his right eye socket.]

"DAD!" King screamed as he jumped up and down on Eda's lap. "Eda! Eda, he's alive! My dad's alive! Well, maybe not alive, but he's still kicking! In the In-Between Realm! We have to go there! He's still there!"

King looked around at the faces around them to see how many of them were on his side. Most of them were completely gobsmacked, dumbfounded, even in total awe. It wasn't every day you saw the face of your god, after all. Everyone except for Hunter, whose face with red with…was that fury?

"You are telling me," Hunter said with meticulous, slow precision, his voice clipped and cold and his accent turning ever so slightly British, "that the Titan is alive."

"Not necessarily," Eda hastened to point out. She didn't want to give anyone false hope. Or encourage…whatever the hell was going on in her eventual stepson's head. "This could very well be a hallucination. With Belos and the Collector running the show, we can't take anything at face valued."

Hunter exhaled as the tenseness flowed out of him, but it was only a temporary reprieve, Eda knew. For whatever reason, the idea of the Titan being alive filled Hunter with rage and she had a bad feeling the shit was going to eventually hit the fan. "Good point. Let's continue."

[Papa Titan urges Luz to wake up. Scene turns white. Once the flash fades, Luz's face appear on screen, eyes shut. Her eyes then shot open. The sound of heartbeat thumping can be heard in the background.

"That could be my dad's heartbeat!" King said eagerly. Hunter removed a pencil from his pocket and then snapped it into two, his face otherwise expressionless. Camila let out a sharp breath. She knew very well he kept those pencils around in case he got especially angry. Snapping one of them so early in the viewing was a bad sign.

Cut to a POV from further away, which shows Luz inside the throne room of the Emperor's Castle. She is sitting on Belos' throne and wearing his outfit.

"You know when I told you that you'd look good in anything?" Amity asked Luz. "Well, I stand corrected. I don't know whether it's your subconscious or Belos or the Collector or both running the show right now, but whoever it is, they're wrong. Whatever they're going to say, they're wrong. Remember that."

"Thanks, Amity."

Above her, the heart can be seen beating. The title of the show then appears on screen. The eyes of Owlbert in the logo flash blue before the title fades away.]

[Luz sits up from the throne of the castle, clutching her head. She wonders how she got there. Luz looks down and notices that she is wearing Belos' outfit. Shocked, she gasps, then yells out in fright and falls backwards, landing on the ground in a sitting position. She then looks up at the throne. She wonders if she's dreaming. As Luz speaks, Stringbean appears from behind Luz and bites on her ear and squeaks. Luz cries out in pain.]

AHA! Gildersnake shouted triumphantly. She's attacking you! That's definitive proof she's evil! In fact, I bet she's behind this dreamworld you're in!

"Oh, Gildersnake, now you're just being silly," Luz said as she stroked each of his heads in succession.

[The scene cuts to a closer POV of Luz and Stringbean. Luz calls Stringbean a power noodle.]

"Power noodle!" Masha said with a grin. "Oh, I love that! Luz, you don't mind if I steal that one for Vee, do you?"

"Sure, why not?" Luz said. "It's not like I've got a monopoly on it."

I don't need to be a power noodle, Gildersnake said. Not when I'm a DANGER NOODLE!

[Luz is relieved to see Stringbean and asks if Camila and the others are okay. As Luz speaks, Stringbean floats towards Luz's hands as she carries the palisman in her palms. Stringbean squeaks apologetically in response to Luz's question. Luz looks to her right worriedly. The scene cuts to Luz walking down the corridors of the castle. Eventually, she finds the front door and walks out of it. She walks up the bridge and looks around in fear. Luz wonders where everyone is. Luz walks over to the edge and looks down, then gasps in shock. Beneath the bridge, various residents of the Boiling Isles have been petrified, with an expression of shock and horror frozen on their faces.]

I knew it was a mistake to trust that snake, Gildersnake muttered. Luz did a face palm.

"This has got to be a nightmare," Hunter deduced. "No way he could have petrified all those people so quickly."

Skara couldn't help but let out a whimper at the sight of her one-time best friend being turned to stone, even if it was just a nightmare.

[Luz is horrified and wonders when all this happened. Amity appears and resentfully says Luz should remember.]

Amity squeezed Luz's hand very tightly. "Luz, whatever she says, whatever you hear, it's not real. It's not me saying those things."

[Luz looks towards the source of sound, eyes wide and in surprise. Far away from her, Amity is standing on the platform on the other side that connects the bridge, holding her staff. She doesn't look at Luz, but her voice is filled with anger. Amity blames Luz for all of it, since she helped Belos meet the Collector. She turns to face Luz.]

"Not true!" Amity said immediately. "Belos would have just tried to sacrifice someone else! What did you do that someone else couldn't have done? Nothing, Luz!"

[Cut to Amity staring at Luz furiously, tears forming in her eyes. Amity says Luz has been the real villain the whole time.]

Luz squirmed in her seat. The words resonated with her more than she would have liked. More than she had imagined they would. All those years, blaming herself for everything, punishing herself for her ill-thought words at her father's deathbed, it had been so easy to take on blame for everything. Especially when the adults around her happily agreed with her. Those thoughts perpetually bounced around her head. Sometimes she was able to beat them back. Not always. It harkened back especially to those dark days after she met Vee, with her keeping everything from her loved ones, with Vee's accusations of how selfish she was reverberating inside her skull.

But Luz knew the truth, even if she didn't always feel it. Those thoughts were false. It wasn't Luz's decision to use magic, the holy gift of the Titan, to halt and pervert the natural order of existence. Luz hadn't made Belos into a genocidal maniac. He was the last echo of a more spiteful, fearful time, an echo that was crying out into the void where no one could hear it. Luz wasn't the monster she had long feared. She didn't even need her friends to tell her that now. She knew it in her bones.

[As Amity speaks, she raises her staff and points at Luz. Luz frantically says no matter what she missed, she would never hurt people. Luz takes off her cloak and throws it aside. The cloak flies down the bridge and drops among the petrified statues.

"Not really sure what that was supposed to prove," Hunter said.

Luz shrugged. "It's dream logic. You can't expect it to make sense."

Cut to Amity looking to her left with a despaired look on her face, before shutting her eyes. Amity says she has no choice but to take Luz down.]

"I'd prefer it if you take me out," Luz said. "You know, on a date!"

"Now's not the time for flirting, Luz!" Vee said.

"Au contraire, my dear sister," Luz said smugly. "It's always time for flirting."

[As Amity speaks, she draws a spell circle and summons some abomination goo, then rides on it and rushes forward towards Luz. Luz begs for mercy. Luz narrowly dodges Amity's abomination goo and runs away.

Amity cringed. Her own nightmares had also been filled with situations like this, where she reverted into the person she once was, or worse, became like her mother. Where she finished what she'd started and dissected Luz. Where she attacked her with abominations. Where she became the person she still feared she was inside.

Amity then draws another spell circle and launches the goo towards Luz. Stringbean immediately transforms into a staff, enabling Luz to escape on it and narrowly misses another attack from Amity.

"See!" Luz said. "She's not all that bad! She saved me!"

All right, you get a reprieve, Gildersnake reluctantly conceded. FOR NOW!

Luz flies past an angered Amity and into the castle. The doors slam shut, finally blocking the attacks from Amity. Luz realizes she's having a nightmare.]

"Well done, Luz," Hunter said with a particularly impressively sarcastic slow clap. "We're all very, very impressed."

[Cut to Eda with her eyes shut. Her eyes suddenly shot open as she gasps. She then sits up. Eda finds herself locked up in a cell. Cut to a POV outside the cell. A bright yellow flash emerges from inside the cell, then Harpy Eda kicks down the steel door. Cut to POV from the middle of the Conformatorium.

"OH NO!" Vee said and hid under the blanket.

Masha quickly swept Vee into a hug. "You can leave now if you want, honey."

"No!" Vee said, and even though she was trembling under the blanket, her voice was firm. "I'm not going to let this stop me. I have to be here to help my sister! I'm not going to let Wrath get to me again."

"Are you going to come out of the blanket anytime soon?" Masha wondered.

"Heck no."

Eda walks over to the edge of the walkway. She calls out for Lilith, Hooty, and King. Eda looks around and finds no one nearby. Shen then flies through the hallway, barges through the front door, and flies towards the sky, frightened and panting.]

Vee breathed a sigh of relief as she emerged from the blanket. That hadn't nearly been as bad as she'd thought!

[Eda looks up and sees a net coming towards her. The net captures Eda, causing her to drop to the ground, wrapped up in the net.

"EDA!" Luz screamed, her fists clench. "Oh, if you lay a finger on her, Belos, I swear I'm going to…do something! I don't know what, but it'll be something!"

She then sits up. Eda says they won't keep her from her family. As Eda speaks, she looks up to the platform of the front door of the Conformatorium. Lilith and Gwendolyn can be seen standing on the platform. Lilith assures her that the Clawthornes are all there.]

"Oh, this is gonna suck," Eda muttered.

"It's okay, Eda," Camila promised. "Your family is here. We're going to help you through this."

[As Lilith speaks, the scene changes to a closer look at Lilith and Gwendolyn. Scene then changes again to a POV from behind Gwendolyn and Lilith, showing the duo looking down at Eda. Eda is relieved to see them and asks for help getting out so she can find King.]

"And me!" Luz said with a wave.

[Lilith refuses. As Lilith speaks, multiple shadowy figures walk out from the front door of the Conformatorium. Multiple coven scouts appear beside Eda and point their spears at her.]

What was truly terrifying about this vision, as opposed to Luz's, was that it would have been plausible once upon a time. There was a time when Lilith would have been more than happy to see her sister locked in the Conformatorium in the name of trying to figure out a way to "cure" her, and Gwendolyn could very well have participated in such a thing.

[Lilith says dangerous beasts need to be kept in cages.]

Vee let out a squeak. "I'm not…" She winced. "Right. It's not…not about me."

"Hey, I know this isn't your nightmare, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to suppress your feelings, mija," Camila said gently. "We're all here to support each other. Don't think your pain is any more or less important than anyone else's."

"I never met Lilith, but I heard stories about her," Vee admitted. "About how ruthless and driven she was. I always feared she would show up and make my life even worse."

Hunter looked at the floor. "Did you hear stories about me?"

"No," Vee said. "No one ever mentioned you. I didn't even know you existed."

[Eda is frightened. Cut to Lilith and Gwendolyn staring down at Eda judgmentally. They then turn around to look back at the door. Dell walks out from the door with his right hand covering his right eye. He demands to know why Eda attacked her even after he forgave her. Dell lowers his hand to show that his right eye is also now injured and blinded.

Everyone let out a scream, especially King and Luz at seeing their grandfather in such a horrible, gory state. "Please tell me it wasn't this bad!" Luz said desperately.

"It was…yeah, it was this bad," Eda said quietly. "I didn't mean to hurt him! It was an accident! I couldn't control myself!"

"Calm yourself, Eda," Camila said. "We know. Of course you wouldn't hurt your family. Not on purpose."

Eda gasps at the sight of this. Cut to King in a dark place with his eyes shut. His eyes shot open as he gasps. He then sits up, clutching his head. Two torches in front of him suddenly gets ignited, surprising King. The camera zooms out to show he is inside the room where the shrine of the Huntsman is located, back on Titan Trapper Island.

Despite the horrific surroundings and the dire nature of the situation at hand, Eda couldn't help but be a little pleased that this, a situation King had already faced and overcome, was the worst trauma he had to offer. Maybe she'd done a good job of the whole parent thing after all.

Scene changes to show the skulls of the deceased titans scattered around the room. King stands up, looking terrified. Bill suddenly emerges from behind him, his eyes black and hollow. King screams and runs away, then turns around to look at Bill. King demands to know how he got there.]

Masha started humming Vera Lynn's "We'll Meet Again." They weren't sure why it had just popped into their head, only that it was fitting for the situation somehow.

[Bill says he brought King there to show him his new collection. As Bill speaks, King turns his head and stares at the skulls in fright. Bill then walks down the stairs. He reveals that the skulls are King's siblings and announces he saved the best spot for King. King turns around. Scene changes to show the shrine.

King let out a squeak of fright and leaped into Luz's lap. "It's okay, King," Luz said softly. "I've got you. It's okay to be scared."

"The King of Demons doesn't get scared!" King tried to bluff and then his teeth started chattering. "But…maybe King does."

"Well, it's a good thing you have a sister to rely on, right?" Luz said with a smile. King weakly smiled back.

A door somewhere above opens, casting light into the shrine. King whimpers in fear as Bill grabs onto his arms. Back at the Emperor's Castle, Luz flies through a corridor, then lands and runs down another corridor to her right. Suddenly, she finds herself in a surrounding similar to Willow's mindscape. Luz is surprised to see trees. Luz stops and pants. She notices something on her right and turns towards that direction. Not far away from her, Willow is kneeling in front of a tree.]

"Luz, whatever she says, it's going to be a lie," Willow said. "Remember that. Belos may think he understands me, but he doesn't. He doesn't understand anything."

[Luz runs towards Willow. Cut to a POV from in front of Willow, which shows her holding a seedling in her palms with a blank expression. Luz is relieved to see Willow and asks her what's going on. She starts to tell Willow about Amity. Willow says her life changed after she met Luz. She believed there was a glorious future that awaited her.]

Luz winced, waiting for the other shoe to drop. She knew this wasn't real, that it wasn't even happening to her, but that wouldn't make what the fake Willow was about to say hurt any less.

[As Willow speaks, she stands up and turns around to face Luz. Wind starts blowing around the same. Willow says it didn't last long. The seedling in Willow's palms fade away as she speaks. She then looks up at Luz angrily, with green glowing eyes and tears flowing down her cheeks.]

"Please, what does she know?" Willow said. "She can't even get the shade of my glowing eyes." Hunter nodded in agreement. Those eyes had featured a lot in his fantasies – er, memories and he knew the precise shade.

[Willow shouts that Luz destroyed her home and any chance she had at happiness, along with everyone's future.]

"She is such a drama queen," Willow said, rolling her eyes. She was trying her best to put on a casual face, but a part of her was extremely disconcerted by seeing what appeared to be herself saying such hurtful things to Luz.

[As Willow speaks, she forms spell circles with her hands, then angrily summons vines from the ground to attack Luz. Luz screams and runs away. After a while, Luz slows down and turns around to look back, slowly backing off as she gasps and whimpers. Her surrounding turns dark. Suddenly, a light turns on. Luz turns around with her left eye shut, trying to see what's going on while adjusting herself to the brightness. Gus introduces Luz to a crowd.]

"Oh, great," Gus muttered. "This isn't going to end well."

[As Gus speaks, the scene zooms out to show Luz and Gus on the stage inside Hexside's gym. Gus is wearing his Grom outfit and introducing Luz to the audience below.

"Maybe I'm going to just make fun of you for not realizing Amity had a crush on you?" Gus said hopefully.

"That could have happened to anyone!" Luz protested. "Beautiful girls didn't just like me! It went against the fundamental laws of the universe!"

For once, Amity was pleased to hear something like that come out of her mouth. No human girl could ever treat her wonderful batata the way Amity treated her.

The audience cheers. Luz looks down at them with a puzzled expression. Gus steps in front of the camera and says Luz is the biggest hypocrite ever.]

"Wow, way to project there, Belos!" Gus said with a slow clap.

[Audience boos. Luz is shocked. Gus says while everyone helped Luz get back to Camila, Gus will never see Perry again thanks to Luz.]

"That's not how it was," Gus remembered. "We basically ended back here by accident. None of us helped you with your portal except for Eda and King, and that didn't really work anyway."

Hunter raised a hand. "Technically, I did help Belos rebuild the portal and took the key from Amity." He frowned. "Wait, that's bad."

[As Gus speaks, he walks towards Luz, then turns around and stares at her angrily with teary eyes while walking towards her, forcing her to retreat.]

"Can't you just break the spell, Luz?" Luz demanded. "This is really starting to get annoying." It hurt to see her friends say such horrible things to her, but at the same time, she didn't believe what they were saying either, not anymore. She knew very well it wasn't her fault now. She was past that fear.

[Luz vows to get Perry and everyone back and not stop until she does. Gus approaches Luz from behind, giving her a death stare. Gus tells him to tell that to Hunter. As Gus speaks, Luz turns around to face Gus, but he pushes her off the stage. Luz lands on the ground in a different surrounding. As she tries to get up, she groans as she clutches her head. She then looks to her left, and sees Hunter staring at a large statue of Flapjack in the distance, with his back facing her.

A true work of art, Flapjack announced. I always wanted to be immortalized in stone. You know, in an art type way, not a petrification type way.

"It would be a fitting tribute to my favorite bird," Hunter said, ruffling his feathers.

They are at the Emperor's Castle. Hunter says he's always followed orders and never thought about making friends or going to school.

Since he had thought friendship was full of backstabbing and lying, the idea of making friends had never appealed to Hunter all those years. As far as he was concerned, being a friend was no different from being an enemy, except friendship brought you false hope. And as for school? Hunter thought – had been told – that all people his age were weak and sinful and licentious, unworthy to bask in the light of the nephew of the messenger of the Titan. Until he met his friends, he had no reason to disbelieve it. (And, honestly, the licentious part wasn't too far off the mark, but that was part and parcel of being a teenager, he'd found. Except for people like Gus, of course.)

[Hunter starts getting enraged and says this changed when he met Flapjack, who became his best friend.]

Yay! Flapjack shouted, flying around Hunter's head. I love you too, Hunter!

[Hunter laments that Luz gets to have a palisman when he lost his own helping Luz.]

Don't worry, Hunter, Gildersnake said. You can take solace in the fact she's undeniably evil.

"For the last time, Gildersnake, Stringbean is not evil," Luz said tiredly. She was wondering if Gildersnake was going to need a session with Hooty when all this was over.

[Hunter turns around to face Luz as he speaks, staring at Luz angrily and teary-eyed. He then drops to his knees and demands to know why Luz gets to have it all.]

"You think I get to have it all?!" Luz shouted. "I'd trade everything I had if it meant I could get you back Flapjack, Hunter!"

"Luz, it's not real," Hunter reminded her softly. Luz's cheeks flushed red with embarrassment.

[Tears flow down Hunter's cheeks as he speaks. He then starts sobbing. Amity, Gus, and Willow then approach Hunter and stand around him. The trio stare at Luz accusingly. Amity says that she has to act for the sake of everyone Luz hurt. Amity points her staff at Luz as she speaks. Luz begs her to stop.]

Even though this wasn't real, even though this wasn't happening to her, Luz's heart started beating quickly as dread suffused the very core of her being. Having Amity hurt her, seeing actually happen on the screen, was going to stay with her for a very long time.

[Tears flow down Luz's cheek as she speaks. She then shuts her eyes and turns her head away. Amity challenges her to a witch's battle.]

"A witch's battle?" Luz shouted. "Oh, Amity, you clever, clever girl!"

Amity beamed. She should have known even an apparition of her would slip up eventually.

[Luz's eyes shot open in surprise. She turns her head and looks at Amity. Though Luz is still crying, she realizes something is up since Amity is not saying the line properly. Luz walks towards Amity as Stringbean changes into her palisman form. She squishes Amity's cheek and plays with her ears.]

"Ooh, getting bold there, big sis," Vee teased. "Sure it's just her ears you want to play with?"

"VEE!" Luz shouted as her ears flushed red. Luz blamed Masha for this entirely. Vee had always been pure and innocent before her partner had corrupted her. That was Luz's story and she was sticking to it.

[She lifts up Amity's arm and touches it. She holds Amity's left hand and looks at it suspiciously, then looks up at her. Luz says Amity looks and feels like the real thing, but isn't.]

"Kind of disappointed it took this for me to realize it, though," Luz admitted. "I mean, the whole blaming me for everything should have been a tipoff." But then again, she knew, it was what she had thought would happen deep down. This was a creation of her subconscious, Luz was certain, and this was her subconscious's worst fear. But it wasn't the worst thing that could happen to her – it wasn't the worst thing Belos could inflict on her. That honor would have gone to watching her friends and family die, like Flapjack had. She just hoped she wouldn't have to see that later on.

[Luz laughs and takes a few steps back. She realizes that everyone is fake. Willow acts offended. Luz reminds Amity of the real line and says it's utterly out of character for the real Amity to misquote the Good Witch Azura.]

"Or ever stop talking about it," Hunter joked. Amity stuck out her tongue at him.

[Stringbean transforms into a staff for Luz to hold on to. Luz challenges them to attack her, since she knows they're not real. Angered by Luz's words, Amity, Gus, and Willow proceed to rush forward and attack Luz. However, Amity's staff is being hold back by some pink strings before it can touch Luz. Luz opens her eyes, sees this, and takes a step back. In front of her, Amity, Gus, and Willow grunt as they are all held back by the pink strings.

"So…this is a sign that they're all under the Collector's control, right?" Emira surmised. "Well, that's a relief. Kind of."

"I'm surprised Mami didn't show up," Luz said. "You'd think if he wanted to break me, Mami would have been first on the list."

"Perhaps Belos just doesn't understand what it means to have a mother's love," Camila speculated.

Gus nodded. "Yeah, his own mother died giving birth to him. His dad became convinced witchcraft was responsible for her death, but from what I can tell, it was just natural causes."

Suddenly, Amity opens her eyes, looks up at Luz in surprise and gasps. Light slowly returns to her dull and lifeless eyes. She squints her eyes slightly as a tear forms in her right eye. Amity calls out to Luz. Luz puts a hand on Amity's cheek and asks if it is the real her. Amity says everyone has been collected, including Camila.]

"Obviously, they had to take her out because they knew what an amazing warrior she was!" Eda bragged. Camila's grasp on magic may not have been terribly adept, but as Odalia had found out, she was one hell of a good shot with a throwing knife.

[Amity says the Collector came from the sky and took them. Gus says the Collector is trying to keep Luz away from King and Eda and is behind the nightmares. Willow says Luz has to wake up if she wants to save anyone. Luz asks how. Hunter asks Luz what the first thing she does when she wakes up from a bad dream.]

"Hyperventilate!" Hunter said cheerfully.

"Um, no," Luz said, looking at her brother askance.

[As Hunter speaks, pink strings drop down from the sky and wrap around his arms. Hunter then looks up and smiles at Luz. Amity releases her left hand from gripping her staff and places it on Luz's left hand. Amity says Luz needs to turn on the light. Amity lets go of Luz's hand, leaving behind a paper with an glowing light glyph in her palm.

"Of course!" Luz shouted. "Titan magic cancels out Collector magic, so a simple light glyph would be able to break the illusion!"

Luz stares at the glyph, then looks up at Amity and smiles, a tear forming in her right eye. Gus, Amity, Hunter, and Willow all smile back at her. Amity has tears in her eyes. Suddenly, the strings transform the quartet into lifeless puppets again. The quartet is then pulled up into the sky and promptly disappears.

"NO!" Edric shouted. "I'll tell you this, Collector. If you do anything else to my sister, I'll make you wish you were never even born!"

Luz drops to her knees upon seeing this, and lowers her head, eyes shut. After taking a deep breath, she opens her eyes, then claps her hands together, activating the light glyph. The screen flashes yellow, then turns black. The scene continues with a shot focused on Luz's face with her eyes shut. She slowly opens it, then cries out in fright. The camera zooms out to show her standing on a checkered pattern platform with large toys around her.

"Wow, things have gotten even worse," Viney said with a touch of awe in her voice. "I didn't think that was possible."

"Well, as Hooty always says…" Luz began.

Gus waved a hand. "Ooh! I know this one! 'I have looked upon all the universe has to hold of horror and even the skies of spring and flowers of summer must ever afterward be poison to me, hoot hoot!'"

"No…it can always get worse," Luz said. "He says it can always get worse! How the heck did you even think that was what I meant?!"

The scene changes and shows Luz standing on a large Rubix cube, which is floating mid air in some sort of galaxy like dimension. There are other large toys floating nearby.

"When he said he wanted to play a new game, I didn't think he meant it literally," Camila said.

A meteor shoots across the sky above Luz. She walks ahead and looks at her surroundings in shock, accompanied by Stringbean. She then notices King on her left, who is still stuck in his own nightmare and whimpering in terror. Beside him, puppet versions of Tarak and Bill are being controlled by strings and used to terrorize King.

"Well, maybe now that Tarak and Bill are here, they can be brought to justice when all this is done!" Luz said hopefully.

"You think so?" King asked. Bill and the Titan Trappers hadn't shown their faces in the Boiling Republic since the Collector's defeat, but King worried it was just a matter of time.

King looks up, a terrified expression on his face. His eyes are glowing, just like Bill's and Tarak's. Luz then looks to her right and sees Eda being terrorized by puppet Lilith, Dell and Gwendolyn. All of their eyes are glowing too. Eda is frantically saying she didn't mean to hurt Dell.]

"Oh, Eda," Camila said, holding her hand tightly. "It's going to be okay. We know you didn't mean to hurt your father. He's forgiven you. Everything's okay now." Indeed, things were very good between Eda and her family now. The Clawthorne parents were overjoyed to have two official and two unofficial grandchildren to dote over. Gwendolyn had given up on her junk cures in favor of being scammed by multilevel marketing schemes, which was at least not physically dangerous. And Dell was working hard supervising the regrowth of palistrom trees now that Belos wasn't plundering them.

[Luz rushes forward and grabs Eda's arm, then places a light glyph in her hand and activates it. Eda looks at the light ball in her hand, which breaks her out from her nightmare and her eyes stop glowing. Puppet Lilith, Dell and Gwendolyn stop moving and gets pulled up to the sky as Eda watches, before they all disappear in a puff of smoke. Luz then rushes over to King and places another light glyph in his palm and activates it. King opens his eyes and stares at the light ball, successfully breaking out from his nightmare. Puppet Tarak and Bill gets pulled into the sky as King watches.

King breathed a sigh of relief. If he never had to see those awful people again, it'd be too soon.

When he looks back down, he sees Luz kneeling right in front of him, causing him to gasp and jump back. King happily pounces towards Luz while laughing and crying happy tears, causing her to fall backwards.]

Luz recalled that her own reuniting with King had been just as joyful, if not more so. She had to spend a lot of time assuaging his guilt about sending her to the Human Realm, though, mostly by talking about how much fun she had there with all her friends.

[Luz happily greets King. Behind the duo, Eda stands up and looks over at them. Eda asks if it is the real Luz. Eda starts crying happy tears and exclaims in delight, running over to the duo. She asks if King and Luz are really there. Luz tells her to get over to her. As Luz speaks, she extends her hand. Eda rushes over and kneels down right next to Luz and King, hugging them both tight and squealing in pure happiness.

"Oh, this is just so beautiful," Edric said, crying from happiness. He got very emotional seeing such things. It had always been thus, even in mere crystal ball shows. Perhaps it was the lack of maternal love he'd experienced which made him so sensitive to seeing it in others.

She then kisses them both. Scene changes to show Luz, who is now also crying happily. Cut to a POV showing the trio hugging each other blissfully. Stringbean floats over and attaches herself onto Luz's face, smiling.]

Don't turn your back on her! Gildersnake warned. She'll cut your throat when you're not looking!

[Cut to the Collector looking at this scene on the screen of a yellow star-shaped object angrily, with his back facing the camera. He then turns around. The Collector is annoyed that Belos's plan to supposedly make the group see the error of their ways failed.]

"Don't be too harsh on him!" King warned the others. "They're just trying to help. They don't get what it means to have emotions like we do. They've never suffered before in their life, so they don't understand what it's like for others to suffer."

[The Collector worries King will hate him for the nightmares and wonders what to do next. As the Collector speaks, he casts the star object away using magical powers, and yells at Belos angrily, before finally sitting down on the bed with his arms crossed. Belos points out that the Collector doesn't have to bother teaching the others anything since he can just kill them. As Belos speaks, he grabs Francois and looks at it

"DON'T YOU DARE HURT FRANCOIS, YOU FIEND!" King screamed.

but the Collector snatches it away from his hand.]

King breathed a sigh of relief.

[The Collector says he wants to be friends with Eda, Luz, and King.]

"Even I know that's not a way to make friends, and I tried to make friends by turning my eyelids inside out!" Luz said.

"What?" Emira said. "Turning your eyelids inside out is an awesome way to make friends! What are you even talking about?"

Luz pouted. "Not to humans it's not."

"Eh, humans, who needs 'em," Emira said dismissively. "Present company excluded, of course." Masha cleared their throat. "Oh, and Mrs. Petrov."

[The Collector says his powers don't work on King. The Collector caresses Francois' head as they speak, before setting it on the table next to their bed. Belos is confused and thinks King is a dog.]

"Looks like it runs in the family," Hunter said before he could stop himself.

"That man is no family to you, Hunter," Camila said sternly. "Not anymore." Hunter nodded in agreement. It had just been an idle slip of the tongue.

[The Collector informs Belos King is a Titan.]

"Oh, crap," King whispered. "This is very, very bad."

"You have to admire the irony of it all, though," Eda mused. "All this time he spent chasing me, he had no clue that the one person who could bring his rule to an end was there with me – and neither did I!"

[The Collector waves their hands as two illusions depicting a Titan's skull whooshes past above their head. Belos' eyes widen, then he appears to be deep in thought. The Collector reminds "Raine" that "they" worked in the castle and saw the Titan's still-beating heart.]

"HE IS ALIVE!" Hunter said with a bestial growl. "I knew it! It wasn't a hallucination. The Titan's still out there in the In Between Realm!"

King's eyes lit up. "Really?! You really think so?! My dad is there waiting for me! We just have to build a portal!"

Hunter slammed his fist into his palm. "And I can get revenge."

"Mijo, what's all this talk of revenge?" Camila demanded. "Why are you so angry at the Titan? What did he ever do to you?"

"NOTHING!" Hunter screamed. "He did nothing and that is why I hate him! It was one thing when he was dead, when Belos was just invoking his name to manipulate people, but now they're saying he's alive. And he knew I was suffering and he didn't stop it!"

King gave an alarming hiss. "How dare you talk about my dad like that?! He blessed my sister! He loves me!"

"And what about ME?!" Hunter shouted as he stood up from the couch, towering over King and getting into a fighting stance without realizing it. "I bled and suffered in his name. I was his most devoted servant. I would have died for him. All my life, I was told my pain was for his sake. His heart watched over the place where I suffered the most. He knew. And he did nothing to help me! Nothing at all!" He pointed his finger at Luz. "What did she have that I didn't?"

Luz took a step towards the two of them. Hunter gave her a bestial snarl, but Luz wasn't scared. "Hunter…believe it or not, I understand."

"You couldn't possibly understand."

"But I do," Luz said, meaning every word. "My dad, he died of cancer, you remember? Natural causes. It was a horrible way to go. Painful, agonizing, and long. I remember hating God for making him suffer like that. If I found out that God was not only real, but had chosen someone else to be cured, ignoring all my prayers, I'd be pissed too!"

"I don't know my dad," King said. "But, Hunter…Luz helped save you. Thanks to her, you're free now and happy. Maybe Dad did want to help you, but he could only act indirectly, through helping Luz. Thanks to her, you have Mami and you have your family."

Hunter sat back down again, suddenly feeling exhausted, like he'd run a whole marathon. "It's not fair," he muttered.

"No, it isn't," Luz agreed. "But that's life for you. I don't think of the Titan as a god. I know everyone worships him and I'm not telling you not to do that, but to me he's just…a guy. A really powerful guy, but just a guy who makes mistakes and tries to do the right thing. I think he would have helped you if he could."

"I…maybe you're right," Hunter said. "I'm sorry I yelled at you, King."

"It's okay, hermano," King assured him. "I understand."

[The Collector says Titans are amazing.]

"Heck yeah they are!" Eda agreed, rubbing King's head.

[Nearing the end of his sentence, the Collector floats up and lies back down on his bed, grinning. Scene changes to focus on "Raine's" face. The Collector says when Titans are fully grown, they're the most powerful creatures in existence.]

"Well, that's something to look forward too," King said, trying to keep a perky grin on his face, but it was really hard. He didn't like to think of himself growing up. Eventually, he'd probably get too big to function in society. And far, far worse than that, he'd live so long that he'd to watch as everyone he cared about – NOPE. He wasn't even going to think that thought.

[Belos announces he has an idea.]

"Oh, this is all kinds of bad," Skara muttered.

[Belos smiles and sits down on the bed next to the Collector. The Collector is intrigued. Belos pretends to drop it. The Collector demands to know what Belos means or he'll hold his breath for a million years.]

"That would actually be pretty helpful," Gus said. King scowled at him.

[The Collector floats up and then grabs onto Belos' face as he speaks. Belos chuckles and gently puts down the Collector's hands, holding them in his own hands. He suggests the Collector play with Luz and her family themself, which will make them see how cool the games are and make them want to be the Collector's friends.]

"Nope!" Eda said. "That is definitely not a thing that'd happen."

"Eda, it's not about that," Luz said patiently. "It's about distracting the Collector while Belos does some sort of horrible thing."

[The Collector smiles as their eyes light up upon hearing Belos' words. Belos assures him everything will be fine.]

"Honestly, considering how warped Belos's sense of…everything is, it's entirely possible he could be sincere," Gus speculated. "I have memories of him doing stranger things."

[The Collector is elated. He summons the yellow star from below and places it above his head. He then floats up towards it and waves at Belos. The Collector asks Belos to wish him luck, then flies upwards and through the star, which then shrinks and disappears. Belos grunts, swipes Francois to the ground

"BASTARD!" King screamed at Belos. Eda let out a nervous laugh at the very unamused expression on Camila's face.

and rummages through the drawer of the table beside the Collector's bed. Eventually, he takes out a blue star. Belos thinks it will be easier than he thought.]

[Nearing the end of sentence, the voice changes from Raine's voice to Belos' voice. Back with Luz, King, and Eda, Eda says she thought she might never see Luz again. She asks how she got back to the Demon Realm. Luz says it was a long story, involving Belos being in the Human Realm.

"And giraffes!" Viney added. "Don't forget the giraffes!"

"They just got out of a horrible nightmare," Willow said. "The last thing you'd want is to put them back into one."

Eda and King are shocked. Luz says they then saw Kikimora, who was a lot to deal with.

"When isn't she a lot to deal with?" Hunter muttered.

[King agrees. Luz starts to talk about Camila deciding to accompany them to the Demon Realm, then points to Eda's missing arm, covered in a bandage, and asks how it happened. Eda says it is a short story.]

"The last thing I would have wanted to do is talk about the Day of Unity," Eda surmised.

[Eda turns the subject to Stringbean. Stringbean sits on Luz's shoulder. Owlbert appears and the palismen greet each other.]

"Aw," Luz said. "That's so adorable!"

Adorable isn't –

"All right, Gildersnake, that's enough," Luz said sternly. "You've got to get over this jealousy of Stringbean! She doesn't even exist here! What's this really about?"

I just…I feel so inadequate sometimes, Gildersnake admitted. All of the other palismen are so cool! Flapjack is filled with ancient wisdom.

You must look within yourself to save yourself from your other self, Flapjack duly advised. Only then will your true self reveal itself.

Ghost is so aloof and pretty, Gildersnake went on. Ghost preened. Emmeline Bailey Marcostimo is loyal and steadfast. Clover is fierce and brutal. I just…next to all of them, what am I? What if I'm not good enough? What if you leave me?

"You're my palisman," Luz said firmly. "And I love you. I understand why you feel that way. You're my palisman. I carved you, and you have my insecurities. But those insecurities are balderdash, because I'm not getting rid of my favorite snake anytime soon. Snake palisman!" Luz hurriedly added before Vee could get offended.

I love you too, Luz, Gildersnake said after a few moments. I'll try to be nicer to Stringbean, I promise.

[King says he would love to chat and fill each other in, but they have to find a way out of their current situation first. A bright flash of light appears and a pink star manifests above the trio. The Collector emerges from the star and slowly floats down to the trio's platform. He is bewildered why King chose to betray them in favor of the "itty bitty spiders" when he was having so much fun playing their games.]

"Hey, spiders are awesome!" Luz said defensively. "Also, you're hurting people!"

"Yeah, but maybe if I told him I didn't like it, he wouldn't have?" King said. "I mean, I could have done so much more."

"Don't beat yourself up, King," Eda said. "You're a kid. Your only job was to survive."

[Eda says the Collector's game stink. She steps forward and turns her arm into a claw. Luz says spiders are awesome.]

"Some things never change," Amity said fondly.

[Luz activates her staff and aims it at the Collector. King says small spiders are the best kind.]

"Yeah, but big ones are cool too!" Luz said. "Like the other day, we were learning about these spiders on the Appendix in beast keeping class."

"They're fifty feet wide and their venom can kill a baby in two seconds!" Viney added eagerly.

[The Collector says he's not a bad person; he's just trying to have fun. King says trapping, scaring, and controlling people is not fun. Eda reminds the Collector everyone almost died from the draining spell.]

"Hey, in his defense, he did stop it too," King said weakly.

[The Collector is unbothered and thinks that toys can be fixed when they're broken.]

"Yeah, you know, the more I think about it, the more I get where he's coming from," Hunter said. They all looked at him strangely. "I mean, I understand why he doesn't understand. Think about it. The only contact the Collector has had with anyone was with Belos – who basically made himself immortal – and the grimwalkers. The grimwalkers are broken and replaced with an identical one, so the Collector doesn't see a difference, especially with Belos deluding himself into thinking there isn't one."

[The Collector creates a doll of himself and splits it into two. The pieces fall to the ground and fix themselves. Luz realizes the Collector does not understand the permanency of death.]

This was very similar to the conversation they'd had with the Collector in real life, Luz recalled. The Collector hadn't understood what they were doing wrong, because they didn't understand that dying was something permanent. Luz hated, absolutely despised, having to disabuse them of that notion. But in the end, doing so was the only way they could save the Isles. She'd cried herself to sleep that night because she'd had to open up the wounds she'd healed about Manny's death a long time ago.

[The Collector promises that he will not try to scare them anymore and wants to be friends with them. Thus he will show them his favorite games.]

"Or…we could have a movie marathon instead?" Luz said hopefully. "I can't believe I've finally met someone worse at making friends than I am."

[the Collector levitates into the sky and starts to summon something. Scene changes to Raine limping through the Archives. There is a trail of black goo that follows them. The Collector's spell vanishes and Raine gains control of their body.]

"FIGHT IT, RAINE!" Eda screamed. "GET HIM!"

[Raine demands Belos let them go. They get pushed back and fall to the ground, goo dripping from their face. Belos regains control and laments that Raine has always been annoyingly powerful.]

"You're darn right they've been!" Eda said proudly.

[Belos pulls out the blue star from earlier and says he'll keep Raine around a while longer. He flies on the star and goes off-screen. Scene changes to show the puppets of Amity, Willow, Gus, and Hunter. One of Amity's fingers starts to twitch.

"YES!" Edric screamed. "Go for it! Fight him, Mittens!"

Montage of Eda, Luz and King playing the Collector's game. First game is based on Pac-Man, where the Collector's enlarged head chases the trio through a maze.

"This is not anywhere near as fun in real life as the video game makes it look!" Luz shouted.

The game ends when Stringbean stings the Collector's tongue after trying to eat Luz.

Thank you, Gildersnake said, the words hard to let loose from his tongues, but necessary.

Annoyed, he snaps his fingers and the game changes to Marbles, with the trio trapped inside them. When Eda and Luz are knocked out, King charges and makes the Collector fall by tripping on the marble.

"Great work, King!" Eda said with a thumbs up.

Next game is Jenga. Eda sends the blocks flying towards the Collector when the tower starts falling. He angrily gets up, but then his face saddens. The Collector snaps his fingers, causing the group to be transported back to their original location. King is relieved, since he threw up twelve times. Eda asks if he wants to make it thirteen.]

"Why in my dad's name would I ever want that?!" King shouted.

[Eda smiles as she picks King up and throws him in the air. He lands back in her arms as she rocks him. King playfully objects. The Collector is alone in a corner. Luz hears him crying and makes to go to him.]

"Oh, that brings back memories," Luz muttered. She'd lost count of the number of times she'd been in a similar situation because someone hated her and didn't want to be her friend.

[Eda warns Luz against it. King encourages Eda to let her go, because Luz is good at talking sense into people. Luz smiles at the two, walks to the Collector, then kneels next to him. Luz lets the Collector know their games can't last forever.]

"Nothing ever does," King muttered.

"What's that?" Camila asked, not quite hearing him.

"Uh, nothing!" King said nervously, quite unwilling to discuss the dark thoughts that kept on popping up in his head.

[the Collector wipes his tears on his sleeve. He thinks Luz is telling him that because she knows she'd lose.]

"Everyone loses when no one's having fun," Hunter noted.

[Eda and King come behind Luz. The Collector's face saddens again. They say they just wanted a friend who wouldn't lie to them or trick them, but everyone is the same.]

"Well, maybe if you didn't keep hurting people, it wouldn't be necessary to lie to you to keep them safe," Gilbert said with a frown. He'd save the sympathy for the Collector for others. As far as he was concerned, they'd hurt his daughter and that was all he needed to know.

[The Collector says King, Belos, and "they" lied. Luz asks who he's talking about. The Collector says he's talking about his siblings, the Archivists, who tried to convince the Collector to play a game of hide and seek. Luz, Eda, & King hear thunder rumbling in the sky. The Collector recalls that the Archivists asked the Collector to go down to the Demon Realm and ask if the titans wanted to play.]

"The Titans…my family," King realized. "The Collector didn't want to hurt them. He just wanted to play with them!"

[Luz, Eda, & King look up to see an image of the Collector's story in the stars. The Archivists guide the Collector down to the titans. The Collector moves the stars to show the Collector playing with young titans. He says he had a lot of fun and found the baby titans adorable, just like King.]

"I had family," King whispered. "Cousins, maybe siblings."

"You still have family now, King," Luz promised him.

"It's not the same, though," King said. "I don't like being the last Titan."

Vee nodded. "I understand exactly how you feel. I don't like being one of the last basilisks either. I wish I had others of my kind. But we haven't been able to find any of them." The government had put out a notice asking for them to show themselves, but without evidence of any crimes committed, there wasn't much more that could be done on their end. In any event, the memory of the basilisk attacks on the schools was still fresh and there wasn't much political will to help out.

[While he says this, the stars move to show the young titans surrounding a joyful Collector. The Collector says the titans welcomed him, but the Archivists were scared of their power and made them disappear one by one until only one titan remained.]

King felt something break within him. "They killed my family…they just wanted to play with the Collector, and the Archivists killed them!" He slammed his fist into his palm. "Oh, if those jerks come here, they're so going down."

[While he says this, the stars move to show the hands of the Archivists seizing the young titans and taking them offscreen to represent their killing of the titans.

"I wonder if I had another parent they killed," King whispered.

"That isn't necessarily the case," Viney pointed out. "There are species out there that reproduce asexually."

The Collector, now alone, rotates, looking for the titans. A large pair of eyes representing the last Titan appear behind the Collector. The Collector says the Titan thought the Collector was responsible for the deaths of his brethren. The stars move to show the last Titan holding the Collector, now imprisoned, and placing him away.]

"My dad…hurt him," King realized. "They tricked him, just like Belos tricked Hunter. They turned him into someone who hurt children."

"I told you he wasn't as good as he seemed," Hunter said.

King glared at him. "He thought he was doing the right thing! Don't blame my dad just cause you have issues. He's my family! He's not like Belos. Not at all!"

[The Collector says the Titan hid his egg from them and trapped them. In a flash of light, the flashback ends. The Collector says he showed all of them, even when the Titan Trappers started acting weird.]

"Huh," Camila said. "That's interesting." She wasn't quite sure what this meant regarding the connection between the Collector and the Titan Trappers. Could the Collector have simply reached out to Bill, trying to his hands on King so he could play with him, and Bill perverted his message in the name of maintaining his power?

[The Collector says despite Belos's lies, he found King and King is his friend now. King tries to get through to the Collector. The Collector admits it is just fake, but prefers the illusion to reality. While the Collector says this, he angrily runs forward to Luz, sending a small breeze in her direction. Luz realizes the Collector doesn't want the current situation to stay. The Collector asks what Luz would know of their pain. Eda says she knows what it is like to be alone.]

Luz sighed. Eda was such an extrovert and an adroit liar that it was difficult to remember how thoroughly miserable she'd been hiding out in the woods.

[King says he knows what it's like to be abandoned. Luz says she knows what it's like to be misunderstood. She offers to show the Collector how the three of them became friends.]

"Might want to leave the part about the attempted dissection out of it though," Emira suggested.

"And the hostage taking," Camila added.

"And the kidnapping," Willow suggested. "Wow, we're bad at first impressions, aren't we?"

[The Collector points out that King already told him about their adventures. Luz says it's different when one can see them. Luz pulls out a stack of the memory pictures from the previous episode that showcase her, Eda and King's adventures. She offers to tell the stories. The scene changes to the outside of the Emperor's castle. Belos-Raine is atop the Collector's shooting star. Outside the castle, the star crash-lands while Belos attempts to keep control of a resistant Raine. Raine screams at Belos to get out. Raine inhales, then whistles. The vibrations from their bard magic repel Belos, sending him toward the castle.

"YEAH, YOU SHOW HIM!" Eda screamed.

Unbeknownst to Raine, their sound waves also blasted their earring ahead of them. Belos reforms and says his being expelled is fine, since only one vessel is big enough to do what he needs.]

Perry's mouth dropped open and so did the bottom of his stomach. "He can't mean what I think he means, can he? He wouldn't stoop that far?"

"In my experience," Hunter said grimly, "the answer to that question is always no."

[Belos advances toward the castle entrance. Raine realizes Belos' plan.]

"He's not going to – oh my me, my dad!" King said. "He can't do that to my dad!"

"I suppose that's one way to kill everyone," Harvey said. "But why didn't he do that before?"

Hunter rolled his eyes. "Expecting logic and Belos to go together in the same sentence is an exercise in futility."

[Raine stands up and follows Belos, leaving their earring behind. Raine runs inside the castle after Belos. They run up the stairs, hitting against the wall on their way before continuing onward. Raine finally makes their way to the door that opens to the throne room, where the Titan's heart is. They summon their violin. Belos asks if Raine knows what the Titan's heart is. He gloats that while it is the last of many, it still beats.]

"Not quite the last of many," King bragged. "I'm just glad he didn't possess me."

"You wouldn't have served his purposes," Gus pointed out.

[Raine scans around them, looking for Belos. Belos comes from within the ground and makes his way up to their upper body. He expands and announces that he is about to possess the Titan's heart. Belos bites Raine's arm, causing them to drop their instrument.

Eda screamed inarticulately at the screen, wishing she could go through it and beat that son of a bitch to shreds.

They shout in pain. Raine attempts to use their bard magic by whistling, but Belos engulfs them to prevent this. Belos then leaves behind his parts that are muting Raine and makes his way to the heart. He is quickly decomposing.

"Quickly, Raine!" Camila shouted. "Get him! Hurry!"

He begins to climb up the wall to the heart. Raine manages to move their body close enough to grab their violin. They slam it against the ground with enough force of sound waves to surround the room.

"That was Raine's palisman," Eda said, her voice almost a whisper. "Yet another palisman sacrificed due to that infernal creature."

"Sacrificed to stop him, though, not save him," Hunter pointed out.

Belos manages to make contact with the heart before the sound waves reach it completely. He expands.]

"GOSH DARN IT!" Eda screamed.

[Belos mocks Raine for trying so hard, only to fail. Raine gasps. Belos fully attaches to the heart, then unleashes mold-like branches from his chest beyond Raine, forming himself into a crucified like pose.]

Both Perry and Camila threw up at that point, near simultaneously, for reasons that were different but more similar than one might suspect. For Perry, it was seeing the god he'd worshipped all his life defiled by having Belos possess him. For Camila, it was watching Belos position himself in the same pose as the crucifixion – a pose that could not have been a coincidence, knowing his background – a mockery of the Savior Camila had been taught to believe in. There was no action more blasphemous he could conduct she could think of.

They spread through the castle. The Titan's right eye begins to glow blue.

"Oh, fuck," Masha muttered. It was a testament to the mute horror everyone else was feeling no one even bothered to chastise them.

The scene changes. The setting has changed to the Archive House, where the corridors glow green. A semi-conscious puppet Amity's hand etches a light glyph into the ground and activates it, releasing a ball of light that returns her to her active state. Amity is pleased it worked.]

"Yes!" Edric said, giving Amity a hug. "Oh, Amity, I'm so proud of you. You did a great job."

[Amity looks around the room she and the others are in. She sees Cat, Amelia and Lilith, all of whom have been Collected. She focuses on Lilith.]

Eda breathed a sigh of relief. She had been worried the Collector might have killed her because they considered her a threat to her nephew.

[Amity is shocked to see Lilith. Gus, Willow, and Hunter all awaken. Gus looks at more Collected figures and screams in horror upon seeing Bill.]

"Yeah, that's…not a sight I want to see again," Gus said. "Ever."

[Gus wonders where they are. Willow realizes they're in the Archives. Gus sees that Camila is still in her Collected form. He asks Willow for help getting Camila down. As Gus speaks, Amity is looking around the room, hoping to see Luz. Gus and Willow both summon their palismen and start making their way toward Camila. Hunter stands up. Hunter, Gus, and Willow turn around to face Amity as she asks where Luz is. The next scene opens with a shooting star flying past the Owl House and finally landing in front of it. The Collector then makes the star vanish. He is followed by Luz on Stringbean, and Harpy Eda with King. Luz is surprised they are not just looking through the photos. The Collector says it all started at the Bird House.]

"Bird house?!" Eda screamed. "Bird house?! The owl is so much more than a mere bird! It's a symbol of great wisdom and intelligence!"

"You…have met Hooty, haven't you?" Camila reminded her.

[Eda corrects him and wonders what happened to the Owl House. Eda flies up and views the current state of the Owl House. King says Eda hasn't been there in a while. Luz looks at a picture of her at the Owl House. In the picture, she is sticking her tongue out and smiling.

"That was a great day," Luz said with a fond grin.

Eda is standing by the door, arms crossed and smiling. King is sitting on top of a smiling Hooty, waving to the camera. Luz says her story started in the Human Realm, where she was struggling, but then she came to the Demon Realm where she met Owlbert, Hooty, and Eda.]

"Good thing you didn't mention the whole taking you hostage thing," Eda said with a sigh of relief. "That would have been a problem."

"Indeed," Camila said in a sepulcher tone. Eda gulped.

[While Luz says the latter sentence, Eda flies back down to the ground and places her hand on Luz's back. King jumps into Luz's arms and reminds her she also met him. Luz says none of them felt like they fit in, so they decided to not fit in together.]

"Best decision I ever made," Luz said. "It brought me all of you!" She waved at her friends and her family, who waved back at her.

[The Collector is skeptical it was that easy. Luz concedes there were bumps in the road. Luz sets King down and shows the Collector a picture of Luz and those who deceived her in "Witches Before Wizards". She admits she had a lot to learn, but says eventually she met more people who helped her. While saying this, she flips through more pictures, which include Luz trying out to be a Hexside student in "The First Day", Willow and Gus supporting Luz in "Agony of a Witch", and Luz playing Grudgby with Amity and Willow against Boscha and her team in "Wing It Like Witches". A Grom photo can be seen behind it.]

"Huh, turns out showing people memories solves a lot of problems," Luz noted. "Who knew, right?"

[The Collector thinks grudgby is fun and wants to see it.]

Skara burst out laughing. "Just think, Boscha could have saved the Isles by introducing the Collector to grudgby."

"I have a feeling that would have come at a terrible cost," Viney said with a shudder.

[They all fly to Hexside's Grudgby field. Luz, who is now holding Stringbean in her staff form, and Eda, who is carrying King, stand at the top while the Collector hovers above on his star. Luz says the game is called grudgby. King says it is fun, despite the rules being ridiculous and the balls biting.]

"And that's not even starting with the Smidge," Luz muttered.

[Eda scoffs at King and says Hexside lets one play any magic sport these days, but back in her day, grudgby was all they had and they had to make the best of it.]

"Uh, I'm pretty sure there were, like, five different sports teams, and those were just the official ones," Perry pointed out.

"Yeah, but I wasn't any good at those, so they don't count."

[Luz places her right hand on top of Eda's hair. Eda grins. Luz says they know Eda was the star player. The screen focuses on the Collector. King tells Luz Lilith was the grudgby captain. Luz says that is a spinoff she'd watch.]

Everyone laughed. Somewhere else, far away, the Echo Mouse felt a vague and uncountable feeling that he'd made a terrible mistake which could never be undone out of stupid and possibly homophobic motivations.

[While Luz says this, the Collector's mouth closes, his facial expression becomes more serious. and he looks ahead of him. He sees Jerbo, Matt and the moon girl, all hiding from him. The Collector uses his star to glide over to the trio.]

"Well, this isn't going to end very well," Gus predicted.

[The Collector introduces himself and asks if they want to play grudgby with them. While he says the second sentence, the screen slightly zooms in to his face and his eyes begin to glow.]

"To be fair, I've seen Boscha look scarier than this, especially when she hasn't had time to put her makeup on," Skara pointed out.

[Matt screams at everyone to run and flees along with everyone else. As they run, Luz, Eda, and King make their way to the Collector. The Collector is upset by this. His grin turns into a frown. He says he wants to go somewhere different. Luz holds out her deck of photos. The Collector takes a photo of the Knee. Cut to the Knee. Eda, still carrying King, Luz, and the Collector all make their way up to the top. Luz says she is pleased the Collector picked the Knee to visit. She says it is special because it's where Eda helped her make a connection to the Isles.]

"And with my dad!" King said with a grin. Then his grin turned to a frown as he recalled that right now, his dad was being possessed by Belos, just like Hunter had been.

[Luz draws an ice glyph. She activates it, and it takes form into a small block of ice that raises from the glyph. The Collector says a baby could do it.]

"That's what I said!" Amity shouted before she could stop herself and then flushed with embarrassment. "Uh, sorry."

[The Collector concedes he's never seen a measly spider do it. They say not everyone can recognize titanic magic. The Collector is now offscreen. Luz, Eda, and King all look at each other while the Collector continues talking. The Collector says the Titan must really like Luz if he showed her so much. They lament the Titan never showed him the glyphs.]

"Or me," Hunter muttered. Luz hovered her hand near Hunter's shoulder tentatively. Hunter nodded and Luz patted him on the shoulder, trying to shove as much affection into the gesture as she could.

[the Collector puts his left pointer finger above the snow, and creates a snow sculpture of a Titan. The Collector wonders if Luz forced the Titan to be her friends too like she did to Lilith and Amity.]

"Please, Luz couldn't force her way out of a paper bag," Gus scoffed. "We're friends with her because she happens to be the most awesome human ever!"

Masha put a hand to their heart theatrically. "Well! I'm going to try not to be offended by that."

[King denies that Luz forced anyone to do anything. Luz says people are complex and sometimes just need a little kindness and forgiveness.]

"It's amazing what people can forgive," Luz said with a fond grin. "Like dissections! And kidnappings! And impersonations! And –"

"You can stop talking now, Luz," Gus suggested.

[the Collector looks down at the ice Luz made and then looks back at Luz, Eda, and King. He seems to be coming around to the idea. Luz and Eda smile at the Collector. Suddenly, there is heavy breathing in the distance that draws all of their attention. The Collector begins to walk towards the edge of the Knee and asks if they hear the noise. Luz doesn't The breathing continues louder. Trees shake, birds flee, water begins to recede, and rubble falls from landforms.]

"Oh, this is going to be so bad," Gilbert said, biting his hands nervously.

[The Collector realizes what it is. Belos' glowing eye shines and continues to glow. Everyone realizes Belos is possessing the Titan. The scene changes. In the alleyway of Bonesborough, a rat runs through a large crack. Tinella Nosa appears to be thrown out of that crack.

"Tinella!" Luz screamed. It was horrifying to think of how much carnage they'd avoided by taking care of Belos on Earth. Even if they saved the day, there was absolutely no doubt the casualties from all this would number in the thousands.

Seeing the dangerous branches spreading throughout the alley, she screams and runs away as they follow her. On a railway in one of the Knee's tunnels, three Coven Scouts are sitting around a fire. They are interrupted by the branches of mold that sends them fleeing.

"Well, those guys probably had it coming," Vee muttered.

As Luz, Eda, King, Stringbean, and the Collector fly above, they see the branches violently spreading throughout the Boiling Isles. Luz realizes it's coming from the castle. She flies downwards. Belos has now taken on a massive, monstrous form.

Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea, for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, Camila recalled from the Bible. Belos had almost literally become the Antichrist spoken of in the Book of Revelation. A vile creature speaking honeyed words to lure people to their doom. A great dragon. The opposite of God.

His eyes continue to glow blue, and he now has wings.]

Everyone shivered in fear and horror. All their lives, they'd been taught the Titan would return and be made flesh on the Day of Unity. No one mentioned he'd also be possessed by a madman!

[Belos screams that he can now cleanse perdition himself.]

I'll chase him 'round the moons of Nibia and 'round the Antares Maelstrom and 'round perdition's flames before I give him up, Camila recalled from the movie Cosmic Frontier II: The Wrath of Chinggis. What an apt metaphor, she realized, recalling Chinggis's self-destructive rampage when mortally wounded that had forced Quando to sacrifice himself to save the Undertaking. Like Chinggis, Belos would never give up either.

[Three times, Belos unleashes blue fire upon the land.

"Did my dad look like that when he locked up the Collector?" King wondered.

"That's gonna leave a stain," Viney muttered.

Luz, Eda, King, Stringbean, and the Collector arrive at the scene. Eda is shocked that it is Belos. Luz asks how he got there without a body. the Collector steps on Raine's earring. He picks it up, visibly worried. King asks what to do, since there's no way they can stop Belos. The Collector begins glowing and says they can stop Belos. The Collector flies through the air, cutting away at the moss. He stops short of Belos's face.]

"Ooh, maybe he'll turn Belos into a jack in the box like that episode of the Twilight Zone!" Camila said, a trifle ashamed of how excited she was about that idea.

[Luz asks why the Collector is hesitating. The Collector thinks Belos needs kindness and forgiveness.]

Luz let out a loud groan. "The one time someone listens to me!"

"There are some people who need kindness and forgiveness," Hunter said. "Belos is not one of them." He would never forgive Belos for all the suffering he inflicted on him, all the time Hunter had wasted in service in the service of a monster. True, his hatred of Belos had been fading away recently, as it just took up energy he could be using for more useful things, but that wasn't the same as forgiveness.

[the Collector hugs Belos's skull. Luz, Eda, and King have stunned expressions on their faces, Belos blinks in confusion.]

"Wait, is this actually going to work?" Masha wondered.

"No way," Hunter said immediately. "At best, it'll confuse him long enough for someone else to attack him."

[The Collector tells Luz everyone can be buddies now.]

"I'd sooner date a man than be buddies with Belos," Amity hissed. "It will never happen. Not on my watch. Not ever."

[Belos prepares to fire at the Collector, while Luz, Eda and King watch in horror. Luz flies towards him. As Belos fires his beam, it collides with a purple flash of light. Luz has flown in to save the Collector.]

"Luz!" Eda shouted, forgetting for a second about the circumstances. "Are you okay? Speak to me!"

"I'm fine, Eda!" Luz said with a laugh. "Still right here!"

[The Collector is confused why Belos attacked him, since he thought he was doing the right thing.]

"Well, that's a lesson we all learn at some point," Harvey said with a sigh. "Sometimes even when you do the right thing, it's still the wrong choice, and there's nothing we can do about it."

[Luz says it wasn't anything the Collector did wrong; it's just that the situation is more complicated than it was in the examples she gave.]

"It's really not that complicated," Hunter said. "He's a megalomaniacal psychopath who hates people for the heck of it."

"Yes, but evil is…new to him, Hunter," Willow explained. "He's too young to understand what it means. To him, Belos is just like him – a kid throwing a tantrum."

"He kind of is, though," Hunter pointed out. "He's just trying to wipe the board away because he lost the game."

[Luz thinks the beam missed her, then realizes that the mold has already hit the fingers on her right hand, and it slowly takes over her body, while Eda and King watch in horror.

Camila let out a shriek of horror as her blood felt like it was turning to ice. This couldn't be happening. After all she witnessed her lucecita go through, she was about to be taken out by some weird devilish fungus. It sounded so ludicrous in paper. Watching it before her eyes, it was anything but.

Luz groans as it reaches her shoulder and her hat falls off of her head and floats down to the ground.

"No, no, no, no," Eda whimpered. "Somebody's gotta be able to do something! There's gotta be a way to fix it!"

Luz twitched involuntarily as she recalled the day she learned about her father's cancer diagnosis. Like this, there was no cure. There never would be. She was about to watch herself die.

Stringbean changes into her active form, and Luz slowly turns into small particles of light.]

"Please, please, please," Amity prayed. "Titan below, please save her. Save my Luz!"

[The Collector doesn't understand what's happening.]

For all his power, Edric realized, the Collector was still a kid at heart. A kid who didn't understand what death meant, but was about to get a very vivid lesson.

[Luz tells Eda and King it looks like they're going to be split up again.]

"No!" King shouted. "Dad! Come on, dad! Your son's asking you to do him a solid here. Come on! I won't ask you for anything ever again, just save my sister!"

[Luz admits she should be used to the feeling by now, but still does not know what to say.]

"Save your breath, sweetie," Camila whispered. "You're fine. You'll be okay. Estás en manos del Señor ahora. You'll be with Manny and the two of you will be fine…"

[Luz cries as she speaks, and Eda and King watch with terrified expressions on their faces.

"WHERE ARE YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH?!" Hunter screamed at the Titan. "SHOW YOURSELF!"

When Luz finishes speaking, the mold covers her face.

"I regret this," Vee said softly. "We shouldn't have looked into other worlds like this. Now we're paying for our hubris."

Her entire body is now covered by the mold and she splits into several tiny balls of light.

"N – no, no, no," Camila muttered. "Mi lucecita…por favor, no mueras…"

The Collector holds on to her hand and catches one of the light orbs, holding it tightly.

Camila let out an earthshattering cry of pain and anguish. She slid off the couch and landed on the ground. After all this time, she'd finally seen the thing she feared most of all come to pass. She'd finally seen her daughter die. "Luz…"

Luz hurried over to her and hugged her tightly. "I'm here, mami. Estoy bien, estoy viva. I'm not going anywhere."

"But…but you could!" Camila shouted. "Luz, you're so reckless all the time. You don't think things through…"

"I will not apologize for trying to save a life," Luz said coldly.

Camila sighed. That had come out entirely wrong. "No, sweetie, I'm not blaming you for this. But I mean in general…when we did the viewing there were a lot of times when you put yourself in danger when you didn't have to. Yes, there were times when you did. And we can argue until the cows come home about what they are, but you cannot deny there have been times when you put yourself into unnecessary danger."

"I'm getting better!" Luz protested.

"I know, Luz," Camila said softly. "But seeing this…it's a reminder to me of just how dangerous this place is. I need you to promise me to try to be more careful in the future. I can't let this become reality. I can't lose you."

Luz kissed her on the cheek. "You won't, mami. I promise to be more careful. You won't lose me."

"How can you say that?!" King shouted. Luz turned her head to face him, completely bewildered. "You know you're going to die eventually! You all are!"

"Wait, is he threatening us?" Edric wondered.

Eda shook her head. "It's not a threat, is it, King? It's something that's been on your mind for a while." Hooty had told her some of what was bothering King, because, honestly, as brilliant a therapist as he was, he was horrible at keeping secrets, even when it came to client confidentiality.

"I…you know I'm a Titan," King said, folding his claws nervously. "I'm gonna live longer than the rest of you put together. Than maybe everyone in Bonesborough put together. I could be alive for millions of years! And I…I'll have to watch you die. All of you. You're all gonna die and I'm gonna be all alone! I don't wanna be alone!"

Luz knelt down so they were eye to eye. "King. Yes. You're right. I will die. It's part of being mortal. But that doesn't mean I'll leave you when I'm gone. I'll still be in your heart. And you won't ever be alone. There'll be more people after me you'll grow to love."

"I don't believe that!" King shouted. "How is that possible?"

"You didn't know me once upon a time," Luz explained. "It was just you and Eda. You couldn't imagine someone like me being part of your life back then, but here I am. There'll be people after me and people after them and so on and so on. And it doesn't mean you'll love me any less. Honestly, it makes me feel great to know I have someone who's gonna know who I am millions of years from now. How many people can say that?"

Eda nodded. "And we'll be here for you as long as we can. No matter what happens, you'll never be alone, King. I promise you that."

"I swear, King, I'm going to do my best to not take stupid risks anymore," Luz vowed. She held out her hand. "Pinky promise." King looked at the hand for a few seconds and then made that most solemn of vows.

With her owner gone, Stringbean reverts to her staff form and falls to the ground, landing close behind Luz's hat. The Collector floats down and kneels. He turns his head to Eda and King. The Collector asks where Luz went.]

"Yeah…if only we knew the answer to that one," Luz muttered. She'd like to think there was a heaven where people like her dad ended up. Certainly the presence of other worlds had helped boost that belief, but she'd still not encountered any definitive proof or lack thereof of an afterlife while in the Demon Realm.

[Eda and King are too stunned to speak. The light orbs float through the damaged areas. They travel by Hexside, where the students are terrified of the mold.

Even after all she'd endured during the horrible weeks when she was terrorized by the Collector, it was still a sobering realization for Skara to learn that it could have been much, much worse.

They finally reach the Archive House, where Gus, Willow, Hunter, and Amity observe, confused. Amity wonders what's happening.]

Luz hoped it would be a long while before Amity would learn the truth. She feared seeing Amity learn of her death would be more than she could stand.

[Puppet Camila begins crying, as if she knows what has become of her daughter.]

"A mother knows these things," Camila muttered. "At least I think." A part of her hoped the other Camila would stay as a puppet for good so she wouldn't have to face the pain of losing yet another member of her family. Though she knew very well that wouldn't be an ideal solution for anyone, especially Vee.

[The Collector calls out to Luz and asks her to reveal herself. He thinks he can simply fix Luz.]

A part of Luz hoped the Collector had the power to do just that. But she knew such hopes were an exercise in futility. The dead are dead and that is how it always will be.

[He snaps his fingers, but the spell dissipates. The Collector doesn't understand why it isn't working. He wonders why Luz disappeared when the Archivists aren't around to take her.]

King realized in that moment just how badly the Collector had been traumatized by his evil siblings. One by one, his best friends had disappeared, until he'd been betrayed by someone he'd trusted with good reason, then betrayed again by someone he'd trusted without any good reason, and now Luz had just vanished into light like the other Titans had. Like his family had. One more thing they had in common.

[Belos aims another beam at the Collector. King suddenly roars and defends the Collector, conjuring a round shield with glyph patterns on it. He has grown in size. His eyes have become purple and extra fangs have appeared in his jaw. A blue light glows in his mouth and tears stream down his face as he roars again.]

"DUDE!" Luz shouted. "You look so freaking awesome! Can you do that in real life?"

King tried his best to change himself to the version of himself on the screen, to no avail. "Maybe it just happens when I'm really, really angry."

"Really, really angry, you say?" Luz said cunningly, and then she started singing the theme song to the Good Witch Azura cartoon, which King despised with all his heart.

King shook his head. "Sorry, Luz. It's not working."

"Oh, well," Luz said. "I could keep singing?"

"NO!" everyone screamed.

[The Collector asks Eda where Luz is.]

"She's…in a better place," Eda said softly. "She better be, anyway. No one deserves it more than her."

[Eda tells the Collector to back away and gently pushes the Collector away from her, since she doesn't believe she can control herself. Eda roars and grows in size and reverts to her original Owl Beast form. Her eyes have become orange and she now has extra sets of wings.

It was a testament to the sheer anguish of the situation, Camila reflected, that seeing this before her did not elicit any of the usual feelings seeing the Harpy Beast did. Nonetheless, a tiny part of her in the back of her mind made a mental note to see if Eda could turn into that form during their nighttime activities.

Roaring again, she carries King and they soar to attack Belos. King releases his power and they avoid Belos' blasts. Terrified, the Collector trips, causing him to let go of the light glyph. The Collector realizes Luz is gone for good.]

"I'm so sorry, buddy," Luz said quietly. "But if it was a choice between my life and yours…I know I made the right one."

"You shouldn't have had to choose at all," Camila spat.

[The light orb floats into the In-Between Realm and settles into the water. From it, Luz's body reappears and she sinks into the water.]

"HOLY CRAP!" Luz shouted, not even caring about the language she was using. Was she about to see the answer to the greatest mystery of all time, what awaited people after they died?! Was she going to be going to heaven? Was she going to see HER DAD?!

"Please, please, please," Luz muttered. She just wanted to see Manny one more time. To apologize. To gain his forgiveness. She'd do anything to see that happen.

[Luz thinks she should have thanked Eda and King.]

"You'll never need to thank us, kiddo," Eda said. "Not for doing what a family does."

[A hand grabs her arm and pulls her out before she goes any further. She sees a Titan in front of her.]

The Demon Realm residents stared at the god before them with reverential awe. Those of them who'd believed in the Titan had taken a strong hit in their faith during the Day of Unity and the subsequent weeks and months. Even before them, none of them could have possibly imagined seeing their god in the flesh while they were still alive.

"DAD!" King screamed, doing a happy little dance. "Look, Luz, it's really my dad!"

Luz tried to give King the most reassuring smile in her arsenal, but she felt profoundly disappointed. She had wanted to see her own father, not King's.

[Luz thinks King stands before her.]

"Is that…Hooty coming out of his eye socket?!" Eda shouted.

"I mean, it looks like a Hooty, maybe not our Hooty," Luz offered. The idea that Hooty was some sort of…weird divine tapeworm just raised a preposterous amount of questions. Would that make him some sort of an angel? One thing was for sure: Luz did not want answers.

[The Titan jokes King gets his good news from him.]

"He thinks I look good!" King said, jumping up and down.

[Luz is shocked that the Titan is alive.]

Hunter stiffened as he tried his absolute level best to stay calm and avoid showing the homicidal rage he felt earlier at the thought of the Titan being alive. It was hard, but then Willow and Camila held each of his hands, and then it became so very much easier.

[The Titan greets Luz by name.]

"The Titan knows my name," Luz said, almost feeling her eyes fill with stars.

[Luz finds it difficult to believe that the Titan is before her, since he is supposed to be the Boiling Isles and dead. Luz begins to sink and she wonders if she is also dead.]

"I'm confused," Vee said. "Is Luz alive or dead?"

"You see, Luz is only mostly dead," Masha explained. "There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead, there's usually only one thing you can do."

"What's that?" Vee asked.

"Go through the clothes and look for loose change!" Eda said with a cackle.

[The Titan picks Luz up and says if Luz goes under the water without a portal, she will die for real.]

"She's alive!" Eda said, tears streaming down her face. "Oh, thank the Titan. Kinda literally, now that I think about it."

[He sets Luz down. Luz is amazed to be in the presence of King's dad. The Titan quotes King's comments on being the best of both things, king and queen.]

Masha let out a gasp. The god of the Boiling Isles was nonbinary just like them! It was more than they could have possibly hoped for! All those years of their father saying how sinful the LGBT community was, how sinful they were, and now the closest thing to a deity they've ever heard of turned out to be nonbinary. It was beautiful. "That's it, I don't care what anyone says, I am totally worshipping this guy now," they announced.

[King says it's fine if Luz calls him King's father. Luz asks where they are. The Titan says they're in the In Between Realm, a place where he's been stuck for some time.]

"Huh, I wonder if he's that voice who was whispering to me in the In Between Realm," Luz said. "Maybe he wanted me to stay so we could talk."

[The Titan says in the In Between Realm, he can keep an eye on King and those who love him.]

"And not children who were abused in your name," Hunter muttered.

[Shows through a floating block moments of Luz and King spending time together.]

"He was really watching the whole time," Luz realized. "He cared about me. About his son's sister."

King looked at the blocks with reverence. "He loves me. He's always loved me. Thank you, dad."

[Luz thinks she's a bad person for hoping the Collector would kill Belos.]

"He would have deserved it," Camila said firmly. "You're not a bad person for wanting to see evil fall, Luz."

[The Titan understands how Luz feel, knowing he would do anything to keep King safe. However, in his haste, he attacked the blameless Collector and trapped him.]

King was pleased his father had realized he was in the wrong. It would have been…awkward to say the least if he was still insisting he wasn't to blame when King went to visit him. Which was totally a thing that was going to happen! He'd get to meet his dad! Maybe even rescue him!

[Luz wonders if this makes them as bad as Belos.]

Eda snickered. "As bad as Belos? Seriously? Have you been drinking my homemade apple blood?" She looked over to Luz, who shifted in her seat nervously. "Wait, you haven't been doing that, have you?"

"No…" Luz lied. It had just been a few sips so she'd could say she'd done it! Eda gave a knowing smirk.

[The Titan laughs and asks Luz has been drinking Eda's homemade apple blood.]

"If I predicted what a god was going to say, does that make me a prophet?" Eda wondered. She was thinking about all the Bad Girl Coven T-shirts she could sell if she could officially say she was a prophet.

"Considering what the last prophet of the Titan did…it might not be a good idea to tell people that," Luz pointed out. Eda sulked.

[Luz says Belos thinks he's trying to save humanity.]

"Save humanity from what?" Hunter said scornfully. "The witches and demons who can't even get to the Human Realm without the portal only he knows how to make?!"

[Luz goes on to say that the two of them want to save their families and thinks the feelings come from the same place as Belos's.]

Obviously, dying – or at least being only mostly dead – had confused Luz a great deal, Camila decided. There was nothing remotely similar about Luz and Belos's motivations. She wanted to save her family from a real, genuine threat, and Belos murdered his only family over and over again.

[The Titan says Luz's logic is flawed because Belos's goal is a delusion on his part and the only thing he really wants is to be seen as a hero.]

"It would have been helpful if you could have told people that," Hunter said irritably.

"It doesn't sound like he could do that, though," Luz pointed out.

"You were able to use those cubes to communicate with people through reflections!" Hunter reminded her. "He could have done the same thing to stop the people of the Isles from following a false prophet! He could have saved me."

King hopped on Hunter's lap and hugged him. Hunter was taken aback by seeing his stepbrother give a rare gesture of affection to him. "Hunter, I'm sorry. I wish he could have helped you. But you don't know for sure he could have. Maybe the rules are different for Titans."

Hunter sighed. "Maybe you're right. We'll never know the answer, will we?"

[The Titan says because of that, Belos fears what he can't control.]

"Which is basically everything now," Luz pointed out.

[Luz says the fear is going to win. She gasps as she sees Papa Titan's chest being affected by Belos' possession.]

"Dad?" King said in a broken voice. He couldn't believe this. Belos's rot wasn't just going to kill Luz, it was also going to kill his dad! "No, no, don't! Please stop him!"

[The Titan says he thought he had more time, but Belos will get full control soon. He asks Luz if she is ready to stop Belos. Luz wonders what she could do. The Titan offers to use the last bit of life he has to help Luz, since she helped King so much. The Titan extends his hand. On it, various glyphs appear.]

"Look at all those glyphs," Luz said, feeling just awed. "They're all so beautiful."

[Luz asks if the Titan is sure he wants to give the power to her.]

"Asking that question is a sign in itself you're worthy, Luz," Perry pointed out. "No one who didn't deserve the power would have the humility to ask that question."

[The Titan says there are no other applicants present and Luz seems like a good witch.]

"The Titan thinks I'm a good witch!" Luz said. "Oh, this is just so cool!"

[The Titan says he can't give Luz his power without her consent. He asks if she will choose herself. Luz takes his hand and a golden orb surrounds Luz. She starts to float up.]

"This is going to be so cool!" Luz shouted.

[The Titan warns Luz that Belos will have unprecedented power, so Luz will have to defeat him quickly. Luz tries to say something. The Titan warns Luz his power will only be hers for a limited time so she needs to use the power wisely. He requests Luz send Eda his regards, since he is a big fan of hers.]

"The Titan is a big fan of me," Eda said, feeling almost numb. The idea felt so enormous. She was favored by her god. It was a vindication in more than one way. All these years, she'd been told her wild witch ways were an affront to the Titan. And now she had definitive proof that all those naysayers were wrong. Eda was no sinner. She was the exact opposite.

"Does that make Eda like a saint?" Luz asked.

Camila scoffed. Eda was a wonderful person whom she loved very much, but saintly was the last word she would use to describe her.

[Luz reaches out and holds on to Papa Titan's claw to keep from being sent further upward. She wants to know if he has a message for King.]

King watched the screen with anticipation. His dad was finally going to deliver him a message!

[Papa Titan thinks for a moment, then whispers something in Luz's ear. Luz is excited by what she hears. She thinks King will love the message.]

"Oh, come on!" King shouted, kicking the couch in frustration.

[Papa Titan takes on his larger form and starts to sink into the water. His body slowly sinks until it finally disappears into the water. He bids Luz farewell. The next scene begins in the Collection Room in the Archive House. Camila begins to wake when Gus holds a light spell above her. Gus deactivates the light spell and says Camila is waking up. The others look at Camila. Gus helps her to get to sitting position as she repositions her glasses. Camila asks what's happening and where Luz is.]

"So she doesn't know except subconsciously," Camila said. This was terrible news. She was going to have to watch herself learn that most terrible of news all over again – with no clue Luz had been resurrected!

[Hunter's, Willow's, Amity's, and Gus's facial expressions all drop upon hearing her second question. Camila is now nervous. Meanwhile, everyone hears rumbling not far from them, and they all look to see the walls and ceiling begin to collapse.

Camila breathed a sigh of relief. At any other time, this would have been absolutely horrible news, but now she was really hoping this new crisis would distract everyone from telling the other her the awful truth until the returned Luz could reveal herself.

Amity tries to create a shield with abomination matter, but it does not take form and falls on top of her. She wonders what is wrong with her magic. Camila stands up and walks to Amity. She speculates that Amity is just exhausted like the rest of them, since they haven't rested in days.]

"And some of you look like you haven't gotten rest in much longer than that," Camila said, looking at Hunter pointedly.

[Willow asks what they can do, since they have to protect everyone. Hunter asks what they will do about Luz. Amity's face saddens. Camila says Luz is a Noceda, which means she's too stubborn to let anything get her down.]

"It's literally in the name," Camila informed them. "No ceda. It means don't yield."

[As she speaks, Camila puts her arm around Amity. Amity blushes. Willow, Gus and Hunter look at each other and smile, knowing Camila is right. Camila walks forward, looking up at the Collected figures, and sighs. Camila promises Luz will be okay. Tears have welled up in Camila's eyes. Camila wipes away her tears and prepares a notepad and a pencil, which she thinks will help them help even without their magic.]

"Were you just carrying that on you?" Camila wondered. "Why on earth did you bring that to the Demon Realm?"

"Maybe you thought you'd need it for glyph making?" Amity suggested. "I'm sure Luz would have told you about the glyphs."

"Hmm. Good point."

[The scene changes to Eda and King fighting Belos's monster form. They are still in a state of rage. As Eda and King fight, and Belos fires, the Collector hides, unable to participate. The chaos sends Luz's staff flying near the Collector. He attempts to deescalate the battle and snaps his fingers, but nothing happens. He doesn't understand why his magic is failing. He sees that the mold is growing onto his hands.]

"COLLECTOR!" King screamed. "Don't die on me! Dad's not around to save you anymore!"

[The Collector doesn't want anyone else to go away and feels remorse for his actions.]

While it was a good thing the Collector had finally realized that life was not a game, every single one of them wished he'd learned that lesson in a way that hadn't come at such a horrible cost.

[the Collector starts crying and feels his face, noticing the tears. He wonders what the mold is and why it won't stop. He sees the mold growing onto Eda's claws and desperately brushes it off. The Collector gets scared when Belos prepares to crush them with his hand. He brings his hand down, but a beam of purple light deflects it. When the light clears, there is a gaping hole in Belos's hand. A light glyph shines through.

"LUZ!" everyone shouted.

"ME!" Luz shouted. This was going to be so awesome. Was she going to get her own anime style transformation scene? She could only imagine how cool it was going to be!

A figure can be seen with an appearance similar to a Titan. Stringbean becomes active and floats to Luz, then changes back to staff form.]

Yay! Gildersnake shouted. Luz is back! And…well, I suppose if I'm not there for her, I'm glad she is.

[The Collector is stunned. The fog clears to reveal that it's Luz, who holds her staff. Eda, King and the Collector are all in shock. Eda and King have slightly reverted. Luz says she's back.

Amity's face turned blood red and she gibbered for a while as drool slid out of the corners of her mouth. A few drops of blood dripped from Amity's nose and then she fell to the ground in a dead faint.

"Amity, are you okay?" Willow shouted.

"No, don't worry, I've seen this before," Edric said. "She'll be back up in a few seconds."

Amity indeed opened her eyes and then let out a squeak as she looked at Luz and saw her in her Titan form, in the flesh. "You're so HOT!" she shouted, uncaring of just how loud she was being. "Holy Titan! Literally holy Titan! I just want to worship you all over!"

Luz blushed incandescently. Amity went to rub Luz's furry arms only to find, to her extreme disappointment, that her Titan form was an illusion. "ED AND EM!" she screamed and lunged at her siblings.

The Blight twins, no one's fool, ran for their lives as Amity chased them across the Owl House. Back in the living room, Gus, who'd actually been responsible for the illusion, gave a smug smirk.

When the Blight siblings returned a few minutes later, both of the twins looked distinctly traumatized and they were trying to get abomination goop out of their hair. "That's what you get," Amity announced.

"Amity…do you think I look more pretty in Titan form than I do as a human?" Luz asked. She'd meant to say that in a teasing fashion, but as the words slipped out of her mouth, she realized that she actually meant them. She was genuinely worried her humanity was less attractive to Amity than a form more suited to her home world.

Amity thought about it for a few moments. "Luz, you're gorgeous the way you are, at any time. There are a lot of beautiful witches and demons out there. But beauty is only skin deep. You're amazing inside and outside. I'd love you if you looked like a Titan, and I love you when you look like a human."

Luz gave Amity a long kiss. "Gracias, batata."

[Eda, King and the Collector all stare at her in awe and shock.]

"Wow, you're even more of my sister than even before!" King realized. "You're like my…I don't know, biological half-sister now or something? Maybe 40%? I don't know the numbers."

[Luz tries to come up with a snappy one liner, but fumbles.]

Amity giggled. Even as a demigoddess, Luz was nothing less than a gigantic, massive dork.

[Eda squeals and reverts to Harpy form as King hugs her happily. She realizes that Luz's terrible one liner is a sign it's the real Luz.]

"I feel like I should be offended by that," Luz said. "But I can't be! Not when you're so happy to see me!"

[Belos roars in fury. This causes everything to shake, including the Archive House. Luz creates a glowing orb around her, King, Eda, and the Collector.

"Damn," Luz whistled. "That's awesome." While she definitely considered the reality she was watching to be inferior to the real one in a wide variety of ways – Belos's rampage, Flapjack's death, her crushing depression – she dearly wished she could know what it was like to wield magic directly.

It shoots up suddenly and goes in a series of erratic motions. The crew can be heard screaming inside. It finally stops and everyone is shaken. Luz admits she overshot matters a little and says she's still getting used to her powers. Eda glares at her, unimpressed. Belos roars and the Archives shake precariously. Eda realizes everyone is still in the Archives. The Collector promises to take care of them. He jumps onto his blue star and flies off. He notices that the mold is progressively getting worse. The Collector vows to help the collected before he dies. Eda, Luz, and King travel to the stage below the Archives. The mold approaches quickly and takes forms of monstrous faces. Luz starts a spell, but struggles to make it. Eda holds Luz's hand and guides her. She instructs Luz to concentrate and think of what she wants.]

"My magic teacher to the very end," Luz said with a grin. "Think how far we've come from the glories of the trash slug."

"Hey!" Eda shouted. "For your information, I made most of my money from stuff I collected from the trash slug." These days, however, she made most of her money from tutoring people in wild magic. And scams. Always scams.

[The spell manifests into a large shield. The moss bounces off of it and curls upward. Luz and Eda push it forward and it eradicates the mold. Red grass takes over and shines in the arena. Luz is elated.]

"GO LUZ!" Amity shouted, doing a fearleader routine much to Luz's copious blushing, both in order to support her and to get some token revenge at her horrendously embarrassing gay panic from earlier.

[The moss appears on multiple sides. King and Luz prepare to act together. They are able to get rid of most of the moss. The rest of it starts to engulf the roof of the arena. Luz and King rub their faces together, smiling.]

"They're really going to do it," Skara realized. "They're really going to save the day!"

[Luz calls out to Eda and flies upwards on Stringbean with King in tow and indicates for Eda to follow her. Luz extends her staff and Eda grabs her free hand. They spin in a circle and create a giant light spell that clears the entire area. They notice a looming shadow and realize the left arm of the Titan is rising.]

Perry shuddered. He could only imagine how many villages were destroyed with that single movement. For once, it was probably a good thing everyone had been puppetized and stored in the Archive House.

[Luz flies up in the sphere. Scene changes to the Archives. Amity rescues Cat using a plant glyph as a giant rock falls above her, which Willow destroys with a fire glyph.

"Thanks, Willow!" Skara said. "Wasn't that great of her, Hunter? Hunter?"

had stopped working, however, as he was clearly in too much of a bisexual stupor at the sight of his girlfriend wielding fire magic to respond.

Amity looks back at Willow and gratefully smiles at her, receiving a smile in return. Camila continuously draws various glyphs and hands some off to Hunter.

It was an incredible thing, Camila thought, to see her other self embracing magic so casually after all those months of clearly being conflicted over it and the influence the Demon Realm was having on Luz. She'd finally seen that glyph magic was an essential part of who her daughter was. Well…kind of literally now that Camila thought about it.

Gus is seen on his staff holding Amelia over his shoulder before a stray rock hits him and he falls.

"GUS!" Perry screamed.

Gus uses a safety spell to gently fall

Perry breathed a sigh of relief. "Whoever invented that glyph deserves a medal."

"You can deliver it to me by the end of today," Luz said in a faux regal tone.

and Hunter saves Gus's palisman by using an ice glyph.

"Thanks, Hunter!" Gus said. Hunter gave him a thumbs up.

Hunter carries Amelia away as Gus flies off with more glyphs in hand. Everything violently shakes again, causing the castle to lose its support at The Titan's horn. They panic as they plummet, but pink strings manifest and hold it up. The Collector is seen straining to hold the structure up. The gang stares in shock as he smiles down on them. Hunter and Willow are shocked to see the Collector, but Gus realizes the Collector is helping.]

"It's about time," Gilbert muttered. He still felt resentment towards the child deity about all the pain they'd inflicted on Gilbert's family, even if he understood now it hadn't really been their fault.

[The scene changes back to the fight against Belos. Still in their glowing sphere, Luz, Eda, King, and Stringbean make it to the top.]

"Titans can breathe in space!" King shouted. "That is so awesome!"

"And so can the Harpy Beast," Eda couldn't help but note. "That just raises further questions."

"It could just be my power doing it," Luz pointed out. "I wouldn't take any risks going into space if I were you." She still couldn't believe she was in a position where she had actual powers.

[Luz, King, and Eda are in awe at the grandeur of the Titan. Luz notices that her Titan power is beginning to fade. She looks at the glowing orb coming from the skeleton. Luz says they have to cut off Belos from the Titan's power. Eda asks how. Luz reminds her where magic comes from. They all say it comes from the heart.]

Luz, Eda, and King all grinned at each other. It was just like old times.

[The sphere rockets down and lands forcefully near the Titan's heart. Belos screams in agony as he feels this. The scene changes to Raine caught in the moss. They are whistling their version of Raine's Rhapsody in order to halt the moss's growth. Their glasses have fallen off, and a beam of purple light can be seen on the glass reflection. Raine becomes wary and asks who's there.]

"Whoever's there, if you hurt Raine, you're in for a world of hurt," Eda warned. No one hurt her best friend and lived to tell the tale. As Belos would no doubt find out soon.

[The figure advances toward Raine. Raine tells them to stay away. [They struggle in the mold's hold. A hand puts their glasses back on. It's Eda. She pulls Raine out of the moss and hugs them. Raine says they're not used to the harpy form, but doesn't care about that. Eda kisses Raine while they're talking and embraces them]

Camila was surprised at her total lack of jealousy, as she often was whenever she and Eda spent time in Raine's vicinity. Eda and Raine had a connection to one another that was unlike one either of them that would share with anyone else. Romance was superfluous to it. Theirs was a pure love, and it would last forever, and Camila was totally okay with it.

[Raine says they're happy Eda is there. They spot Luz and gasp in surprise at her new fluffy form. They wonder how long they were out for. Luz again notices the Titan's power starting to fade. Luz says their time is limited and they have to end things. Raine is pleased. They clear a path to the throne room in the castle. They see Belos' form in the heart and prepare for an onslaught. Luz launches spells that destroy the upcoming branches of mold, then summons a set of ice steps and climbs to the heart.

"GET HIM, LUZ!" Hunter screamed. "KICK HIS ASS! I mean, I don't think he has one anymore, but you know what I mean!"

She grabs onto Belos' ribcage and starts pulling. Belos says Luz can't defeat him. A large number of hands manifest and attempt to hurt Luz. Eda slices them up with her harpy magic. Raine whistles at the mold and causes it to retreat. King releases his powers and helps to protect Luz. Luz quotes Azura's catchphrase from the very first scene of the show.]

A chill ran down Luz's spine. She was really going to say the line! And what a place for it, in the midst of a battle more epic than anything Azura could possibly face! The Good Witch would no doubt have found Luz a worthy contender to use her line. She'd have been so proud.

[Luz changes the catchphrase to reflect her own circumstances.]

"Has it suddenly gotten really warm in here?" Amity wondered with a nervous laugh as sweat poured down her face. Her siblings snickered and it was a testimony to Amity's emotional state that she barely even noticed.

[Luz's eyes glow orange and various glyphs manifest around her hands. Belos yells in agony and everything shakes again. Meanwhile, the Collector struggles to hold up the Archives. Back at the castle, Eda, Raine, and King continuously attack. The scene changes back to Luz.]

"NOW EAT THIS, SUCKER!" Luz, Hunter, and Amity all shouted at the same time.

[Luz finishes the catchphrase. Luz successfully rips Belos off of the Titan's heart and everything falls silent as her screams echo into the silence. A manifestation of her hair being like Azura's, but pink, is shown.

HIS ONLY WEAKNESS! Gildersnake shouted melodramatically. DYING!

The monster version of Belos outside the heart screams in agony as its heart emits a flash of purple and black lights and it explodes. The Titan's hand is stabilized as a rush of the remaining energy runs through it. The Titan's eyes lose color.

"Dad…" King whispered. Luz held him tightly. She knew very well what it was like to lose a father.

Back at the castle, the monster turns to stone and eventually turns into dust and is blown away, along with the mold, thus restoring the red grass across the Isles.

"What a fitting end, to be blown away like he was never there," Harvey said. "It's less than he deserves…but I don't think anyone could ever devise a punishment bad enough to be what he deserves."

The Archives are slowly lowered down to the Titan's head. The pink strings disappear as an exhausted Collector flies to where Camila and the others are. The blue star disappears as the mold around his hands slowly begins to fade away. Amity steps closer as the Collector recoils in fear. Amity then offers her hand out to him.

"I know a thing or two about how to deal with little kids," Amity said with a slight smile.

He takes it, and small tears form in his eyes. They all rush to the balcony, and they watch in awe as the mold slowly clears up. At Hexside, the mold at the front door starts to fade. Skara slowly opens the door as she and Matt stare in shock. After fully opening the door, they and a few other students observe their surroundings and slowly smile at the sight. Back at the castle, the mold also starts to clear up one by one. Raine, Eda and King burst out of the mold. King gasps for air as Raine and Eda look at each other as she smiles. Luz is then shown looking off into the distance, with the moon looming far from them.

"She's still got her Titan form!" Amity said with a gasp. "Hmm. Just think of the possibilities."

"Unless you want to faint again, sweetie, I'd advise against that," Camila said, very amused at how Amity was reacting. Manny would have done precisely and exactly the same.

In front of her are the small remnants of Belos' goo form, which slowly begins to assemble to take on the form of Philip Wittebane.]

"Oh, come on!" Vee shouted. "Can't you just go away and leave us alone?!"

[Philip claims he was under a horrible curse, which Luz saved him from, but he's clearly making things up as he goes along and knows very well his doom is near.]

Everyone laughed at Belos's horrible lie. Everyone but Hunter, that is.

"SHUT UP!" Hunter screamed at them. They all turned to face him. "I suppose you think it's funny someone would ever fall for that line, but you don't remember that I did!"

"Hunter, mijo, I'm so terribly sorry," Camila said, meaning every word. "I should have thought about it."

Eda nodded. "Yeah, kid, we didn't mean to make fun of you. We're just making fun of Belos, cause he's unoriginal and doesn't have any tricks left in his arsenal."

"I guess," Hunter conceded. "Sorry I was so sensitive."

"No need to apologize, Hunter," Gilbert said. "We're all here to help each other."

[Luz does nothing but glare at Philip angrily, knowing that he's lying. Her long hair and her dress sway in the wind.]

You're not coming from a place of intellectual honesty, so debating you would be pointless, Luz recalled herself saying while fighting Grom. She'd learned that lesson very well. Engaging with these ridiculous lies would accomplish nothing but giving Belos a foothold.

[Philip claims he was cursed by dark magic just like Eda.]

"Okay, this is definitely worse than his usual efforts," Hunter had to admit. "He's normally so much more on top of his lies."

[As he speaks, the sky slowly turns dark, signaling the arrival of boiling rain.]

"Oh, boy, this is gonna be good," Vee said. She was not normally a very vindictive basilisk, but she'd gladly make an exception for someone who made her life a living hell, even if he'd also been responsible for that life existing in the first place.

[Philip claims his actions as Belos was the fault of the "curse."]

"You can never accept responsibility for your actions, can you?" Luz asked. In the end, that was one of the key differences between the two of them. Luz was always accepting responsibility for her actions, even to the point of taking it way too far and trying to make herself responsible for things she obviously wasn't.

[A drop of boiling rain falls onto the back of Philip's left hand and he groans in pain, with the part of his hand that the rain touched becoming green. More boiling rain starts to fall from the sky. Philip begs Luz to save him. He slowly crawls towards Luz, his face begging for help. Philip begs Luz to make peace with him.]

"I'd prefer to make pieces!" Luz shouted. "Out of you!" That hadn't been one of her best, but a part of her was extremely bothered by the fact that she was standing idly by and letting someone die in front of her. She knew it was necessary, that Belos was too dangerous to remain alive. But still, it was a horrible choice to have to make. And make no mistake: it was a choice. The choice to do nothing was itself a choice. It may have been the right one, but that made it no easier to see.

[He slowly reverts back to his goo form due to the boiling rain. Luz's expression remains unfazed, the rain turning to sparkles on her hat and her hair as the boiling rain doesn't harm her.]

"It's just like in the Wizard of Oz!" Masha realized. "He's melting just like the Wicked Witch of the West. Oh, what beautiful irony."

"What's the Wizard of Oz?" Perry asked.

Gus gave a huge grin. "Oh, I know this one! It's a human horror movie about a young girl who gets sent to a land not unlike ours, kills the first witch she meets, and then teams up with three strangers to kill again!"

"That's not…you know what, never mind."

Philip [partially changed back into his goo form] Don't just stand there!

[Philip is partially changed back to his goo form and begs Luz to do something.]

"Don't listen to him, Luz," Camila advised. "He's not worth it. He'll never be worth it."

[His body decomposes until he's fully changed back into his goo form and he starts to crawl towards Luz, whose eyes are now closed, and her head is slightly turned to her left as the boiling rain continues to turn into pink, purple and yellow sparkles upon landing on her. Philip says if Luz doesn't save him, she'll be just as bad, conniving, and evil as the witches.]

Hunter burst out laughing. "Okay, that one was a good one. Terra's still better at comedy, though. Or she was…" He sighed. Why did all the good artists get taken before their time?

[He holds Luz's left leg in an attempt to convince her. More sparkles appear near her legs and feet. Belos says they're human and better than that.]

"Literally neither of you are human right now," Gus pointed out.

[Luz finally steps back, and the camera shows her with a blank expression on her face as sparkles continue to form around her. A scowling Raine, King and Eda step in front of her as they confront Belos, with the trio under the protection of a magical red leaf summoned and held by Raine. Eda says they aren't better.]

"YEAH!" King shouted. "GET HIM, OTHER KING!"

[They bring their faces nearer, their expressions becoming angrier. Belos, now reduced to merely his skull, stares in shock.

Hunter looked away from the screen. As much as he knew Belos deserved it, he could not bear to see his one-time uncle die again with his own eyes. It was not for Belos's sake that he did it, but for his own. Hunter deserved to not have to be in pain.

The trio raise their feet, and they cover the camera as they stomp on Belos repeatedly, killing him once and for all.

"Oh, thank God," Camila said. "I thought he'd never die."

The weather now clears. Raine is very satisfied at killing Belos. King is not because some of the goop has gotten on his claws.]

Everyone shuddered at the very thought.

[King groans and shakes his left foot to get rid of the goo on it, while Raine feels the sunshine with their left hand and they make their leaf disappear. Suddenly, a bright golden light appears behind the trio. Eda looks over her right shoulder to see the source of the light. Eda, King and Raine turn around and see Luz glowing. She begins to float up, and the symbol on her chest turns into six golden lines with purple outlines, which travel up to her eyes. Luz opens her eyes, which glow a brilliant gold, and her power from the Titan finally released. The energy manifests into the form of the Titan as many glyphs appear around it. The manifestation roars as Raine, King and Eda stare in shock.]

"Whoa," King said. "Dad knows how to make an entrance. Or maybe an exit. Either way, I hope I can look as awesome when I grow up!"

[Raine asks if it is the Titan. Eda agrees and tells King she was right about him having tall genes. King's eyes sparkle in amazement as the manifestation of his father roars again before it flies away and disappears.

"He really couldn't have spared a word for me?" King asked, feeling very disappointed.

The scene slowly pans down to Luz, who has returned to normal and is back in her Azura costume.

"Aw," Amity muttered. It was a shame the other her would never get a chance to see Luz in her Titan form, but given how she'd reacted to it, that was probably for the best.

She opens her eyes, but she realizes that she doesn't have her powers anymore, and she falls and yells. Eda and King run up to her and catch her. Then the trio lay on their backs, side by side, panting. The clouds slowly part to reveal the sun shining as the trio watch, their faces steady. Just then, Luz remembers the message the Titan had for King, which turns out to be "I loaf you." King is very pleased his dad likes bread puns like him.]

"He loafs me," King said and tears of joy fell down his cheek. "My dad really loafs me so much! He was watching the Luz and King Comedy Hour! Now with a divine seal of approval!"

"It's not just the bagels that are holey now!" Luz joked. Eda groaned.

[King starts laughing, and Luz and Eda join him. Luz is elated that they saved the day, sticking together despite the difficulties they face.]

"Weirdos stick together," Eda said, and grinned at her daughter.

[Eda and King look at her, satisfied. The trio relaxes as they calm down, happy that the whole ordeal is finally over.

"So if I died and came back to life thanks to a god, does that make me like –"

Camila put her hand over Luz's mouth. "Luz Isabella Noceda-Clawthorne, that's crossing a line," she said sternly. "But…you certainly are more like him than that false prophet ever was."

The scene cuts to an overshot view of the ruined castle as Raine walks toward Luz, Eda and King, which then cuts to a view of the sun rising as clouds float by. Back at the Archives, Camila, Gus, Amity, Hunter, Willow and the Collector all stand on the balcony, with Amity, Willow, Gus, Hunter and Camila smiling. The scene then cuts to a slightly horizontal view of the Titan, with the Archives resting on the top of its head. Luz narrates that that was how they saved the Boiling Isles. The scene cuts to views of places in Bonesborough, and then to the forest, where the red pine trees are shown to now be horizontal as birds fly by them.]

"I'm just relieved they're all okay!" Willow said. "They're tough, but I didn't think they were that tough!"

[Luz concedes they didn't save everything. A bird perches on one of the now horizontal trees, squawks and leans down. The scene cuts to the Archives, where everyone starts to come out safely. Luz says everyone was relieved when they got released safely from the Archives, saved the worst of the devastation. The scene cuts to inside the Archives, where Lilith places a puppet Steve in front of the staircase, and the Collector restores him to his normal form. Steve then opens his eyes, feels his body and sees Lilith, who offers him a hug. Instead, Steve grabs her, lifts her up and sways her, and they and the Collector smile happily.

"It's nice to see Lily being happy," Eda said. She knew very well how much Lilith had made others suffer while she was in the coven, but very few people understood – including Eda until fairly recently – how much Lilith herself had suffered while there. So much of Lilith's life had been taken from her by a maniac who wanted to punish her for something her distant ancestor had done. It was amazing to see her taking it back, both here and in real life.

The camera then zooms out to a shot of everyone reuniting with their families and loved ones. The scene then cuts to show Alador standing in a corner and looking around. Amity runs over to her father, who turns around, sees her, opens his arms and smiles. Amity gives a happy laugh.]

The Blight siblings all shared a smile. Things were getting better between them and Alador, though it was not without a very considerable amounts of bumps in the road. The children had all made sure to take their father to task for his actions – and more pertinently, inactions – but at the same time, they all loved him and were relieved to see he was all right.

[Amity jumps into her father's arms, and they close their eyes, smile and hug, while an Abomination student from St. Epiderm walks away to reveal Odalia leaning against a wall near a window, crossing her arms, frowning and glaring at her husband and younger daughter as he sets her (Amity) down

Amity sniffed. "It's less than the horrid lich deserves."

"Yeah, looks like she's left with nothing," Edric said. "No big fancy house, no family, no riches, no nothing. And you know what? I'm fine with that."

they open their eyes and look at each other with big grins on their faces. The scene cuts to Gus, who looks around for his father worriedly. He soon sees him and smiles. Gus spreads his arms out and creates four illusions of himself. The scene cuts to Perry looking around for his son, when Gus and his illusions approach his father and surround him. Perry sees them, smiles and starts crying happily.

"So many Guses!" Perry said with a grin. "So much love. I love you, son."

"I love you too, dad."

He tries to hug the first two illusions, which disappear when he does so, until he gets to the third one, who turns out to be the real Gus.

"Classic Gus," Perry said, wiping a tear away from his eye.

He picks him up and hugs him as the other two illusions disappear. Perry kisses Gus on his right cheek and they smile at each other. Then we see Willow looking around for her fathers, accompanied by Hunter. He then suddenly smiles and points to someone. Willow stares in shock and runs towards her fathers.

"I'm just happy you made it through all that," Gilbert said. "It looked really bad there for a while! I don't know how I could have handled seeing something worse happen to you."

She jumps into their arms, and they all close their eyes, smile, hug and cry happily. Then they open their eyes as Gilbert and Harvey set their daughter down. Willow holds Gilbert's right arm as Harvey places his hands on his husband's cheeks, laughing as tears of joy stream down his face, and they kiss. Hunter smiles as he watches this, but his expression turns gloomy and he puts his right hand on his chest when he realizes that no one is waiting for him.]

"Don't worry, Hunter," Camila assured him. "I'm sure she'd look after you if you asked."

"Do you really think he would, though?" Hunter worried. "I don't want to end up in some orphanage!"

[Luz says while Hunter may have thought no one was waiting for him, he was in for a pleasant surprise. Someone suddenly ruffles Hunter's hair, and he turns to them with an annoyed frown, only to stare in shock at who it is. The scene cuts to reveal that it's Darius.

"Darius!" Hunter said, giving a huge grin. Camila was pleased that someone was going to be looking after Hunter, even if she was sad it wouldn't be her.

Eberwolf climbs onto Darius's left shoulder, and both of them have appreciative smiles on their faces. Darius then removes his right hand from Hunter's head and points at Hunter's shirt with his left pointer finger, to which Hunter goes into detail explaining everything while Darius and Eberwolf watch and listen, interested in what he's saying.

"Oh, boy, it's a classic Hunter infodump," Luz muttered. "Hope you have ten hours, Darius!" Hunter whacked her on the arm.

The scene cuts to a view of the Titan's ribs in the forest as birds fly by, and then to Hexside, where everybody celebrates the return of Principal Bump, which is met with applause.

"I never thought I'd say this, but thanks for keeping them all safe, Bumpy," Eda said. "And now I'm never gonna say it again for as long as I live."

His long black hair, which is flowing in the wind, stops to reveal Amelia and Cat, who close their eyes and smile. Cat happily waves her right hand. Boscha suddenly pushes through the Blight twins (who were in front of her, with Edric falling due to his cast) and runs over to Amelia and Cat.

"BOSCHA!" Amity screamed, shaking her fist in the air. "Help him, Emira!" Emira just sighed at her sister's melodrama. Edric would be fine.

The three girls hug while everyone celebrates. Boscha smiles and cries, overjoyed to be reunited with her teammates, as the camera pans up to show the front of Hexside. The scene then fades to a view of a building in Bonesborough, which has a large blue paddleball wedged in its roof, and a bird perches on the paddle. Luz says there was much rebuilding to be done. Morton, Tibbles and another witch observe all of the damage that was done to the marketplace in Bonesborough.

"Can't say I'm too sad about Tibbles," Eda muttered. He was on everyone's hate list for his defense of Kikimora. To make matters worse, he'd done that in a completely aboveboard, legal fashion and thus no one could justify getting revenge on him for just doing his job. Still, Eda was an optimistic woman. Sooner or later that pig would do something awful which would justify her beating him black and blue.

Morton frowns and picks the sign for Mr. Elixir, which almost immediately breaks.

"Aw, poor guy," Eda said. "I hope he can get all that fixed up."

Meanwhile, Darius and Eberwolf, who are inside of the ruined castle, look up at the Titan's left arm, which is now in its new position. The scene then cuts to Belos' ruined throne. Vitimir, Terra and Adrian appear and walk toward it with mischievous looks on their faces.]

"BOO!" everyone shouted.

"STICK TO COMEDY, TERRA!" Hunter screamed.

[Luz says not everyone was keen on change. Two big shadows suddenly loom over them, and they're revealed to belong to Darius and Eberwolf. Darius forms his left hand into an abomination fist, seemingly threatening them, and he and Eberwolf glare at them, with the latter giving them an "I'm watching you" gesture, pointing his right pointer and middle fingers at his eyes and then at them, and the three Coven Heads back away nervously. Vitimir suddenly returns to touch the edge of the throne with his left pointer finger before the part that he touched is promptly melted by Darius's abomination goo.

"Yeah, you get him," Hunter said proudly. Hunter had always been creeped out by the potions master during his time in the Coven, though Vitimir had never actually done anything to Hunter specifically and, in fact, had probably not exchanged more than a dozen words with him in his entire life.

The scene cuts to Latissa, where four coven scouts attempt to move a tree, but they're unsuccessful. Yellow energy then surrounds it, and it slowly floats to reveal the BATs and Steve using their magic to lift it as the coven scouts step back in shock. Steve then looks at the scouts with a firm expression on his face. They all take off their masks and reveal their true faces, with one of them throwing their mask on the ground. The tree is then set down as Steve shakes hands with one of the scouts.]

"It's nice to see everyone making peace," Vee said. "Still, I hope the really bad people will get punished like they did in real life." To say the question of who to punish for sins committed in the Emperor's Coven had been thorny was a massive understatement. Too much punishment and they were just asking for a civil war. Not enough punishment and they were just asking for a civil war. Steve had his work cut out for him trying to figure out who deserved to be prosecuted and who didn't. In Vee's opinion, he'd been doing a good job balancing that tightrope. Vee was just glad she didn't have to make the decisions and tried to stay out of anything even vaguely resembling politics.

[Luz says they were all ready to give a shot at fixing things. Inside the Owl House, Eda fixes her nest as she lays Raine down, then resting by their side.

"That nest is surprisingly comfortable," Camila mused. "Not that I'd know that from personal experience, of course." Luz just rolled her eyes. She wasn't a child, after all, and it was her fervent hope that one day, she'd have a little sibling. A little biological sibling anyway.

King jumps up from behind, landing in the spot beside Raine as Luz and Eda laugh. A blue light suddenly flashes offscreen and the gang turns to look at it. The scene cuts to the door, where the Collector appears and goes inside the house, followed by a hooded Lilith. After she removes her hood, Eda smiles and goes up to her. The Clawthorne sisters reunite and hug as Camila and Amity also enter the house.

"That's so adorable!" King said. "I'm just glad you and Aunt Lilith are getting along well, mom."

"You know what, kid? So am I."

As Luz stands up and walks to them, Amity runs towards her. The two girlfriends embrace, close their eyes and smile, with Amity lifting Luz up. Then the former lowers the latter, and they share a kiss.

"Just think about how much fluffier that would have been in her Titan form," Amity said wistfully.

After that, Camila walks up to the girls and touches Luz's right hand with her right pointer finger, getting her attention, Amity backs away and watches happily as Luz and Camila then share a hug and the latter spins her daughter around. Camila then looks behind her to see Eda and King holding out their hands, with Eda smiling and sweating nervously.

"Hey, I mean, first impressions are the worst," Eda offered. "I'm just glad she didn't get to hear about all that baggage first…though it kind of worked out for me in the end, didn't it?" She winked and kissed Eda on the cheek.

Camila grabs Eda's hand and she and King are pulled into a hug with Luz.

Camila felt a bit melancholy realizing that this version of her probably wouldn't end up knowing the romantic love she felt for Eda. Without all those memories to get a crush on her, by the time other Camila developed those feelings – if ever – Raine would have gotten an inescapable foothold. Not that she begrudged them for that. No, Camila just wanted to see Eda happy, whether it was with Raine or her or both.

Lilith smiles at this as the Collector approaches her. He then summons a puppet Hooty and his birdhouse and Lilith kneels on the floor and touches it with her left hand. In a puff of smoke, Hooty is returned to normal, albeit with sparkling eyes and eyelashes, and he smiles when he sees Lilith, who holds his face and cries happily.

"You know what, I'm not even going to ask," Eda decided.

Eda walks over to her sister as she (Lilith) and her friend share a happy reunion, and Hooty begins to move, startling Eda and causing her to fall onto the nest next to Raine. Hooty wraps Lilith in a tight ball as Raine laughs at the sight and the Collector looks at them in awe. Camila and Amity watch this with concerned looks as Luz, watching with tears of joy in her eyes, pulls them both into a hug.]

"You get used to it," Luz "assured" them.

"That's got to be the most terrifying thing I've ever heard, and I had to listen to you die," Amity said.

[The Collector then approaches King, holding Francois. He smiles and turns Francois to face King. Luz says she and the Collector made a pinky promise to keep trying their best King's eyes immediately light up upon seeing his beloved stuffed bunny. He jumps out of the nest and grabs Francois, spinning and hugging him.]

"I think Francois was the real MVP of the episode," King said. "He was so much of a threat that even Belos had to toss him aside! We should all sing psalms in his name!"

"Or we could…not do that?" Luz suggested.

[Luz says the Collector felt he had a lot of growing up to do, so he decided to return to the stars.]

That was probably for the best, Luz knew. Having them around would just complicate things at a time of extreme emotional turmoil, especially with everyone blaming him for their puppetization.

[the Collector looks over his right shoulder and watches King with a smile on his face, but then frowns and walks away. King notices this and looks at Francois. The Collector smiles as he's about to walk out the door. King walks up to the Collector and places his left paw on his (the Collector's) right wrist. The former has the latter open his right hand and places Francois in it. The Collector realizes that King is letting him keep Francois, and he holds him (Francois) with both hands. King then jumps up, wraps his arms around the Collector and whispers in his right ear, making him tear up and blush.]

"AWW!" everyone said.

"He deserved him," King realized. "Without the Collector, we'd have never been able to stop Belos."

[Luz says she thinks she heard King whisper that he hopes he'll see the Collector again. The scene then slowly pans around the room, showing the people in it interacting with each other, except for Luz who stands in the doorway, watching them with a smile on her face, but she suddenly frowns. Luz says they got their happy ending, but she realized something Luz walks outside and looks up. She closes her eyes, feeling the wind, and then she takes out a light glyph with her left hand and looks at it. She taps it with her right pointer finger, but there's no result.]

"NO!" Luz shouted. She couldn't imagine what it would be like to live without the glyphs. Magic was such an essential part of her life now. Being cut off from it, like she had been when they'd been stuck in the Human Realm, would have been like cutting off one of her limbs.

[Luz says that when the Titan died, the power of the glyphs went with it. There was no Titan to speak the language of the Titan to.]

"Not yet," King said. "But in time, you'll speak it to me."

[Tears start to form in Luz's eyes, and she clenches her right hand and holds it up to her heart. Luz says the glyphs helped her find her place when she had no other way. She vows to never forget the glyphs. She smiles and lets go of the glyph, letting the wind carry it away. The scene cuts to a view of Luz from the air as she stands by the cliff and the glyph floats away. Stringbean comes into view, hissing and carrying Luz's hat in her mouth. She happily accepts it as Stringbean rattles and wraps herself around Luz's neck, nuzzling her before flying up.

A good witch, Gildersnake intoned, should never be without her hat. He gave a solemn nod at Stringbean, one palisman who loved Luz to another.

Luz then puts her hat on as Stringbean turns into her staff form and the sun shines. Luz stands at the edge of the cliff and looks out into the horizon. She says that one chapter of her life was over, but a new one is beginning. Four years later. The scene fades to show an Azura figure in Luz's room in the Human Realm. Luz picks it up with her left hand and places it in a box with some of her other belongings.

"IS THAT A TATTOO?!" Luz screeched. "OF FLAPJACK?! Wow, that's awesome! Mom, can I get – "

"Absolutely not," Camila said in a voice firmer than iron. "It's one thing to let you stay in a magical land far away from everything you've ever known where you're in constant danger, but tattoos are where I draw the line!"

Then she closes the box's inner flaps with both hands. The scene cuts to show a third person view of Luz's room as she closes the box's outer flaps. Then the scene cuts to Luz's table, which has a heart with L + A carved into it.

"Together forever," Amity said with a kiss.

A college acceptance letter is pinned to the wall above the table.

"I'm going to college!" Luz screamed. "Oh my God, it's wacky sorority hijinks for Luz!"

Next to the letter is a piece of scratch paper with her dorm room number and move-in date on it, and next to it are sticky notes listing things to buy, with all of the things struck through. Luz walks over to her table and puts her box on it as the camera pans up to show her memo board; it shows that she has graduated from high school along with Vee

"I knew you could do it, mija!" Camila said with a bright grin.

and won a writing scholarship.

"Who is…Dana Terrace?" Luz asked, peering at the name on the scholarship notice.

"Probably some hack," Eda said dismissively.

There are also pictures of Luz and her friends partaking on other adventures, both old and new.

"Wait a second," Masha said as they peered more closely at the screen. "Where the heck am I in all this?" There was a very conspicuous lack of them, even in the pictures including Vee.

"Maybe I didn't have the guts to tell you the truth," Vee speculated. "Maybe you didn't take it well…"

"I refuse to believe that," Masha said, knowing it in their bones.

King pointed at one of the pictures. "Look, I'm playing catch with Hooty! It may not be playing catch with my dad, but it is playing catch with one of his parasites!" Awkward coughs filled the room. No one wanted to be the first one to burst his bubble.

"I can't believe you had the guts to go back and confront that giraffe," Gus said, his voice filled with awe as he pointed at another of the pictures. "That's courage. I can't even imagine what it's like to be that courageous."

"I suppose next to Belos, giraffes don't seem that scary," Luz guessed. They all looked at her incredulously. How could anything be scarier than a giraffe?

Luz places her left hand on her memo board next to a small piece of paper with a light glyph on it, and then she touches the glyph with her left pointer, middle and ring fingers. The scene cuts to Luz's bedroom doorway as a slightly older Camila appears in it.]

"Hey, someone seemed to age pretty darn well," Eda said, giving Camila a flirty wink.

Camila ¡Ahí estás tu! ¿Puedes ayudarme a envolver a estos maduros? [Onscreen, the translation is displayed: "There you are! Can you help me wrap these maduros?"]

Luz I'll be right there.

Camila [sighs] I can't believe you're already leaving for college. Remind me, what major did you pick again?

[In Spanish, Camila asks for help wrapping maduros. Luz promises to help. Camila is stunned Luz is already leaving for college. She wonders what major Luz picked. The scene cuts to a close-up of Luz. Luz says Camila should know by now she picked all of them.

"Classic Luz," Eda said fondly.

[The camera zooms out to show a now older Luz, smiling and proudly showing her mother her list of courses at the University of Wild Magic, a check mark next to each course, as Stringbean wraps herself around Luz's neck and rattles.]

"Oh, damn, she's gotten even hotter," Amity said, all in one quick breath. Uh-oh, did I say that or just think it? "I got to think of a lie fast!"

"Did you just say I got hotter, batata?" Luz said with a wink not unlike the one Eda had recently given.

Amity let out a shriek and then ran out of the room.

[Camila walks closer to Luz and chuckles. She wonders how Luz will take all the majors without the glyphs.]

Amity tried her best to sneak back in. By the very amused expressions on her siblings' faces, it was anything but successful.

[Luz pets Stringbean with her left hand and says she's had difficulty, but she and Stringbean figured out their own way of doing things.

"Maybe we summoned the dark lord!" Luz suggested. "Uh, just a joke," she added quickly. It had not been a joke.

[Luz smiles and holds her list of courses in both her hands. She says it will be nice to finally see everyone after so much time. Camila reminds her she actually saw them just last week.]

Everyone laughed. No matter how much more mature Luz got, she was still a drama queen at heart.

[The scene cuts to show an older Vee waiting outside of Luz's room with Owlbert perched on her left pointer finger.]

Masha let out a growl. "Masha likey!" Vee blushed almost as much as her sister.

[Luz says it doesn't count since she was studying for finals. Vee tells Owlbert it is time and orders him to get the others. Owlbert nods and hoots. Then he flies out of the nearest window to the old house, which has been remodified with a more cutesy look, reminiscent of the Collector's Archives. In front of the house is a sold sign with a yellow sticky note that says "To the Nocedas" with a heart next to it on it.

"I wonder how we got all that money," Camila asked.

"Probably beat up a unicorn and stole their hoard," Eda speculated. "That's always my get rich quick go to!"

Owlbert flies near the doorknob and activates the portal. The door opens. In what appears to be a prerecorded message, the Collector bids him welcome to the Boiling Isles and tells him to watch his step. Owlbert flies through the portal to the Boiling Isles as the end credits begin to roll. Owlbert flies through the sky next to Willow, who is now a professional Flyer Derby player.

Hunter knew he was too much of a professional and a gentleman to so blatantly simp over his girlfriend like his siblings were wont to do. What he didn't know was that even as he thought that, drool was slipping out of the corner out of his mouth and onto the couch.

Together, they dive into the forest, where Hunter is carving an axolotl palisman from palistrom wood.

"Aw, he's so cute!" Vee said.

Once he finishes it, he hands it to a now older Braxas, who happily holds it in the air as his father and Hunter watch.

Vee's face went very carefully blank at seeing Wrath stand before her, free as a bird. "King, hermanito, would you mind terribly stepping out of the room for a minute?" King gulped upon seeing the look on his sister's face and scurried upstairs. "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!"

"Yeah, how could anyone let a piece of shit like that go free?" Masha demanded. "What kind of a sham are they running here? Don't they understand that this man is a monster who committed crimes against sentient life? He hurt my Vee!"

"How could you possibly enable him?" Hunter demanded to his other self. "That's not okay! That's not ever okay! You were the Golden Guard – you know how awful he was! I've never been more ashamed of you."

Camila shook her head in disapproval. "This is truly the darkest timeline." She went back upstairs and then returned with King.

Willow lands on the ground near them and surfs on thorny vines. Hunter turns around, revealing a blue jay on his right shoulder, and he smiles.

Flapjack sniffed. I suppose as a substitute, she'd suffice.

He glances at the Bat Queen, her children and Eda's parents, who are working in the garden.

It's nice to see her and her family free and safe again, Flapjack said. "I owe them a lot."

They look at him and Dell gives him a thumbs-up. Then Hunter walks over to Willow, who happily greets him, and they hold hands and run before sliding down a steep incline together. Hunter suddenly loses his balance and Willow grabs him and wraps her arms around him as they skid to a stop in front of a large green tree. They open their eyes with surprised looks on their faces and they smile warmly as Willow sets Hunter down.

"It's official!" Luz announced. "Huntlow is real and it is inevitable."

Then Willow walks up to something as Clover appears next to her and she draws a green spell circle with her right pointer finger. The scene cuts to reveal a gravestone for Flapjack, and Willow conjures delicate vines with purple flowers to decorate the stone.

Hunter felt a tear slide down his cheek. "Thank you," he whispered.

Then Hunter, Willow and Owlbert fly to Bonesborough, where other characters are hanging out. Boscha now runs a stand in the Bonesborough marketplace selling Grudgby gear, and an older Morton waves at Willow, and she waves back.

"Even after all she did to us, it's nice to see her happy doing what she loves," Willow said.

Hunter, Willow and Owlbert stop in front of the library, which is in the process of renovation, and they go over to it. Matt is seen overseeing the construction, while Kikimora is struggling to pull up a wooden beam.

Everyone laughed at the horrible imp's misfortune. Some things never changed.

Lilith unfurls her plans for a museum wing for the library, and Hooty eagerly watches.

Hunter's eyes lit up, even though he was disappointed that Hooty was being made the curator instead of him. "Oh, I have got to tell Lilith all about this! She's going to love it! And we can totally steal it for ourselves! The first museum ever inspired by a design from another dimension. Flora's gonna freak."

Willow, Hunter and Owlbert approach Lilith as the former waves to her, and she happily greets them. The wind suddenly picks up, and a cat-themed abomination blimp lands in front of them at the top of the stairs. The scene changes to a close-up of the blimp as its door opens, and somebody walks over to it as a rope appears next to it. The camera pans up to reveal that it's Amity, who is holding a book with her right arm and the rope in her left hand.

Luz let out a squeak and she could feel her cheeks heating up. If it was wrong to simp over her girlfriend's future hot and confident future self – and holy moly, those hips – then Luz did not ever want to be right ever again.

She swings out of her blimp and jumps into Lilith's arms. Lilith spins her around as they smile and hug. After they stop, Amity hands the book to Lilith, who then hands it to Matt. Matt flicks his hair with his right hand, and Lilith suddenly grows wings, flies up and changes into her new harpy form, which resembles a raven.

"Oh, that is so neat," Hunter said eagerly. Lilith had been having trouble embracing her inner Harpy Beast and it had been frustrating for her. Hunter hoped it would give her some hope if she learned it was not as impossible as she'd been fearing.

Amity, Willow, Hunter and Owlbert fly up next to her before the latter flies in front of the screen. The scene changes to Hexside, where Skara is seen playing the harp for some young children

"Ooh, I love those braids!" Skara shouted. "I'm going to get a head start on this new future trend the next time I'm at the hairdresser. I am going to rock it!"

while Barcus assists a kid with his plant magic, the illusion teacher is the new principal and Bump has retired to gardening.

"He deserves it," Eda said fondly.

The scene cuts to show Alador with a metallic glove on his hand. Raine, Jerbo, Darius and Eberwolf are observing the machine. Alador places the glove on a student's coven mark, and several Healing Track students, including Emira and Viney, send their magic through a thick wire.

Edric started paying a lot more attention now that he realized what this device was for. Figuring out how to undo the sigils was one of the top priorities of the new government, but so far they'd had no luck. Any information that could be gleaned from this might be useful in accomplishing that goal.

After several seconds they stop and the glove emits a puff of smoke. The student's mark is gone.

Gilbert could feel himself crying tears of joy. Ever since he'd learned what a sham the coven system had been, he'd been wanting desperately to have his sigil removed so he could learn different types of magic. Though he still wanted to focus on construction magic, he also wanted to try to learn abomination and plant magic to experience just what about it appealed to his husband and daughter so much.

Darius is excited and shakes Alador, making him embarrassed.

Amity shifted awkwardly on the couch. All the Blight siblings were very well aware Alador had developed a crush on Darius, but none of them were quite sure how they could help or even if they wanted to.

Raine is called to the courtyard and flies with everyone else. The wild creatures that Luz has encountered are seen enjoying time with their young ones. It pans over to show a blue cloudlike structure. Scene zooms in to reveal it is the University of Wild Magic as Raine and Lilith land.

"A University of Wild Magic," Eda said in awe. "I never thought I'd live to see the day."

Owlbert flies through the academy as various activities are shown: Edric is seen entertaining a bunch of students

"Wow!" Edric shouted. "That's me! I'm making people's lives better! That's so cool!"

the Illusion master is teaching about the Looking-Glass ruins, and Gus is doing a Human-Witch exchange program.

Luz gave a nervous laugh. "I hope you're being real careful there, Gus."

"Oh, relax, Luz, you know I'd never let a giraffe into the program," Gus promised.

"That's…not what I meant. You know what, never mind. I trust you."

The Headmaster's door comes into view and Eda excitedly comes out.

"What." Eda said in an almost deadened tone. She was the headmaster? In a position of authority? What had she been smoking and where could she get some?

"Hey, I'm sure you're doing it your own special Eda way," Camila said. "With that Bad Girl Coven magic!"

"Yeah. Yeah, you're right!" Eda realized. "It may be a position of authority, but sometimes, in order to spread chaos, you need a little order! Besides, I am rocking that hook!"

She has a hook for a hand and performs a staff trick with the other. Raine and Lilith happily wave at her as she rides down on her staff. Back at the Owl House, where the portal door is now connected to, an older King is guiding people around, with one holding streamers.

"Wow, I've grown!" King said. "Not quite continent level, but I'm not a little guy anymore."

"You'll always be my little guy," Luz said, and ruffled his fur.

The door opens on the other side. Vee phases through the portal and morphs into her basilisk form as she urges Luz to hurry. Luz points out no one will be mad if they're a little late. She and Camila enter, Luz covering her eyes with her hand as Camila guides her other hand. Camila says this day is special. She opens her eyes and gasps. Everyone yells surprise. It is revealed all of her friends and family have thrown a Quinceañera (with a large sign hung labeled "King-ceanera") for Luz.

Masha looked carefully at the huge array of people showing up and came to one horrifying, inescapable conclusion. "So let me get this straight. You decided to invite Tibbles and Boscha to the party, but not me!"

"At least Odalia wasn't there," Edric offered tentatively.

"BUT TIBBLES?!" Masha screamed. "What the hell is going on here? First Wrath is out free and now I'm nowhere to be seen! This is an affront to Veesha!"

"IT'S VASHA, PETROV!" Luz shrieked so loud the windows rattled. She lunged at her future sibling-in-law, who deftly sidestepped her, causing her to fall on the floor with a thud.

Everyone applauds as Amity runs up to her and hugs her. Luz is stunned. Amity kisses her on the cheek. Eda explains that Luz spent her last three birthdays helping rebuild the isles.]

"Oh, that is so sad," Luz said as she got back on the couch. "There wasn't nearly this much devastation in our timeline. And, honestly, someone should have told the other Luz to take a break."

[Amity says they wanted to make it up to Luz for the eighteenth birthday. Willow says Camila told them about the tradition of the quinceañera. Gus muses it sounds much less haunted than demonic birthdays.]

Gus couldn't help but remember his eleventh birthday with a shudder.

[Lilith unrolls a scroll and says she is sure they covered Camila's instructions perfectly. Camila does not appear to agree. Hooty has made a structure with a Snaggleback hanging downwards. It is titled "Pain-yata." The Bat Children come by holding a purple dress made of spider webs. The Echo Mouse sews on some fingers a jewel and shows off their handiwork.

Somehow, though they had absolutely no idea how, Masha knew the indignities Vee had suffered in this timeline were the Echo Mouse's fault, regardless of how nonsensical that thought was.

Steve cuts a slice from a Good Witch Azura themed dress cake, and hundreds of small spiders pour out, which engulf his face as he smiles widely. Camila is visibly concerned.]

"It's…the thought that counts?" Camila offered weakly.

[Camila praises them despite her misgivings. King starts drawing a circular symbol on the ground, then taps it, revealing it is a light glyph as a small light spell manifests. Luz gasps as she holds it in her hand.]

Luz breathed a sigh of relief. She wouldn't have wanted to be without her magic for her whole life! Not to mention, it would make things way easier on her when she went to college.

[Eda says King's powers are getting stronger. The glyphs are different from the Titan's glyphs, but will work for Luz nonetheless. Luz is overwhelmed. King reveals that the Collector was in the area and wanted to do something special for the occasion. The Collector's magic manifests in the sky. A blue star flies through the air, sending pink magic in different directions. Everyone looks in admiration.]

"I'm just glad they got a happy ending in this universe too," Luz said with a smile. She made a mental note to check in on the little terrifying child god when she got a chance, to make sure they were being well treated by their new parents.

[Luz thanks King for everything. Eda says they should be thanking her. Eda and King hold Luz's hands and promises to continue to be weirdos together. Luz realizes the Collector is almost gone. She rushes forward and faces towards everyone. She bids them to act on the count of three. Zoom out to all the characters as they wave at the camera and bid the Collector farewell.]

Perry sat back down on the couch, feeling utterly spent. "Well, that's it. The tale is over. I've got no more connection left to this timeline."

"Thank you so much, Mr. Porter," Luz said fervently. "You have no idea how much you helped me."

"I've told you before and I'll tell you again, Luz: call me Perry."

King stood up. "Well, I say we shouldn't waste another minute! Let's go to the In Between Realm and meet my dad! I've got the Titan's Blood right here." He pointed to his body, filled with it. "Let's go!"

Eda opened her mouth to protest, but King was already running outside the house and everyone else seemed to be following him, so she just went along with the flow.

"Hello?" Kikimora called out, her teeth chattering from standing outside the house for a whole day in the freezing cold of winter, waiting for Hooty to come back for their appointment. "Can anyone let me inside? So cold…"

Everyone ignored her as they followed King into a clearing in the forest. Before anyone could stop him, King sliced open his arm with his claw and Titan's blood dripped onto the grass. What appeared to be a swirling hole appeared in it, but it soon turned out to not be a hole anymore, but rather had turned the ground transparent, with the In Between Realm manifesting beneath it. And soon enough, the person they'd all been waiting for appeared.

The Titan looked upon the family King had made for himself and he couldn't help but be pleased. He'd been waiting for this moment for ages – quite literally – and it was wonderful seeing his son surrounded by people who loved him.

"Hello, my dear boy," the Titan said. "It's been far too long."

King reached out his claw to hold his father, but his hand could not reach through whatever surface they were viewing him. "Hi, dad. I heard you were watching me out for me and I thought I'd say hi. I guess that's all I can do."

Hunter stepped forward. Everyone winced, but the Titan just gazed upon him with an understanding expression and nodded at him to say what he was going to say. "Why?" Hunter asked simply.

"There is no why," the Titan responded. Hunter nodded. He had guessed that already and in a sense, it was a relief to have confirmation. "Hunter, I'm not a god just because life formed on my corpse, any more than your predecessors were gods because their decomposing corpses fertilized plant life. I'm just a person, nothing more. A very long living person with abilities I'm proud to have shared with those who walk upon my carcass."

"Could you have done something to help me?" Hunter asked calmly. He felt no ire, not anymore, but if he didn't ask the question, he would have been haunted by it for the rest of his life.

The Titan sighed. "I'm afraid not, Hunter. I have tried and failed to communicate with others, including to help rescue you. I am only successful now because you used Titan's blood to open this window. But you didn't need my help. You had your friends and you had your family and most importantly, you had yourself."

Amity stepped forward, her ears burning. "Can you turn Luz into a Titan like we saw in the viewing?!" she asked in one quick breath.

"Amity!" King shouted. "You know that took what was left of his strength!"

The Titan put up a paw. "That was the infection, King. And I have more strength to spare." He waved a paw and Luz turned into her Titan form. Luz cast a spell with her own magic and watched in awe as she made light rise into the air with her own too hands.

Amity promptly glomped her girlfriend. "So beautiful and fluffy," she breathed.

"You have one hour," the Titan added. Amity pouted. "Sorry, but this isn't meant to be permanent. Luz is a human and that's what makes her so special."

Amity bowed elaborately. "Thank you, my lord." She grabbed Luz by the wrist and dragged her away. "I'm going to make every second count."

"Clothes stay on, cariños!" Camila called out. She wasn't worried they'd do anything particularly untoward, though. She trusted her daughter and future daughter-in-law implicitly.

"This window will stay, but you cannot let anyone else see it outside of your family," the Titan warned. "I will not be gawked at like some museum exhibit!"

"Yes, sir," Willow promised. "We'll be very careful."

King sat down on the ground. "So how long do you have left, dad?"

"Not too long," the Titan said with a twinkle in his eyes. "Only about fifty years or so." King breathed a sigh of relief. That may not have been much in the grand scheme of his lifespan, but it was more than long enough for him.

"Hey, would you mind giving us some space?" King asked. "I've got a lot to catch up on with Dad!"

Eda patted him on the head. "No problem, kiddo. Hey, Papa Titan, thanks for making such a great kid. I'm honored to have him as a son."

The group walked away while King started regaling his father with some very highly exaggerated tales of his conquering. Eda wiped a tear away from her cheek. No matter how mature her kid got, she'd still always be the great kid she loved at heart.

In a nearby clearing, Luz and Amity lay side by side, their clothes still on as they'd promised. Amity nuzzled her head against Luz's suddenly furry chest. Hundreds of balls of light shone above them. "This is nice. But I still think I prefer the real you."

"Me too," Luz admitted. "Though having magic is nice." She leaned in and kissed Amity on the cheek. "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing really," Amity said. "Just thinking about how much I'm enjoying watching you."

"Just watching?" Luz teased.

Amity shrugged. "Well…watching and dreaming."
