Surrounding the fallen evil entity formerly known as Unicron with a severely weakened Lancex laying mostly on his stomach, all bots were staring at the kneeling Megatron. "What… what did you just say?" Optimus asked in a shocked but calming voice. He could tell the bot seemed a bit scared.
"Please, tell me what is going on Orion?" Megatron asked, confused and sounding nothing like the formidable foe he had once been.
"What is the last thing you remember?" Optimus asked carefully, as he had seen bots pull tricks like this before.
"Well… I remember you and I heading towards the hall of the Primes, as they had asked us for ideas to make Cybertron better" Megatron, well Megatronus replied, still looking lost and confused.
Optimus instantly realized that this was no longer Megatron, the corrupted soldier, but his old friend Megatronus. Optimus softened his stance a bit, as Optimus remembered that Megatronus was not always as brave as Orion had been. Megatronus looked around, not liking where they were as he didn't recognize it. "Orion… where are we?"
"We are on a planet known as Earth, which is a ways from Cybertron, and we together made Cybertron safer by destroying Unicron, thanks to you" Optimus answered honestly, while noticing off to his side that Lancex was still exhausted from the fight. Megatronus is shocked, while the bots who used to fight under him, Knockout, Breakdown, and Dreadwing knew it would be impossible to bring this bot back to the con base. The three talked amongst themselves for a few minutes, with their choices being surrender or follow the crazy Starscream, they soon made their choice. They chose to surrender, feeling that the Autobots would treat them better than the seeker.
Optimus was a bit surprised but didn't show it. The Autobots were shocked but welcoming while Megatronus remained confused. "Are you for certain you wish to join us?" Optimus asked the three.
"Our only other option is to follow the deranged Starscream. We would rather surrender" Knockout piped up. Optimus nodded in understanding. Optimus invited the three Deceptions and Megatron back to the Autobot base. They were wary due to their past, but agreed to go. Optimus called for a space bridge.
Once the space bridge showed up, Optimus scooped up Lancex, carrying the bot on his left shoulder while holding out an arm to help Megatronus up and come with them. Megatronus accepted the hand and headed off with Optimus and the others. Boy would Ratchet and the others be surprised once the eight bots entered the Autobot base.
