Ch 14 The True Motive

"Hmmm…" A black-hood robbed man placed his hand on Thalia's Trunk, watching as the bark dissipated. "Interesting, very interesting."

The Servant took out a syringe and stuck it into the inner layer of the trunk. Asclepius carefully pulls out some of its sap and takes the syringe.

The Caster took a look at the sap, seeing a bit of red mix in with the green Theos Klironomia Odysseus informed him about.

"So? Do you have an answer on what kind of poison is affecting Thalia's Tree?" Clarisse asked the Hero of Greece.

Asclepius ignored the young Demi-God's question for a second, holding the syringe in the sunlight. "Hmmm…."

The blonde Demi-God was getting annoyed with the Servant ignoring her. "Hey, can you at least answer me if you're busy?" Clarisse asked, her eye twitching with what she had to deal with.

Ever since that Sage brought him, Mr. D and Chiron asked her and a few Campers to protect him since he's the 'so-called healer' in the group.

"Be patient, I swear Children should not be near doctors unless they're being treated." Asclepius sighs, placing the syringe in his pocket. "I'll have an answer by sundown. This is the first time I treated a Demi-God turn tree. The occasional Nymph yes, but the only one closely related is Daphne but I have little experience with this sort of thing." He sneers at the thought of his Father being involved in something like that. Especially when there are two of them now.

Clarisse and the Demi-Gods who were tasked with protecting the Tree watch the Caster leave. "I seriously don't get what this guy's problem is." A Demi-God commented, seeing another Servant that Sage brought over. "One moment he's serious and doesn't want to talk and the next he's talking up a storm."

"I think you're mixing up talking with giving pointless Greek facts along with Medical knowledge." Another Demi-God said, looking at him.

"What about you Clarisse? How do you feel about that guy…Caster?" The Demi-God asked the Daughter of the War God.

The blonde Demi-Goddess scoffs at the question she was asked. "You know how I feel about outsiders, now come on. We have a Camp to protect now that the Barrier is not working." Clarisse changed the subject quickly, looking at the small platoon of Demi-Gods.

"That green-haired man and armored man are patrolling the east and west sides of the Camp," Clarisse stated, wanting to step up their game with the Servants. "We have to show that we're capable of protecting the Camp as they can."

Many cheered as they proceeded with their patrol routes.

Big House

"So that is what are in these parts. There are many Demonic Beasts throughout the States that if they were to gather, it would be impossible to defend Camp Half-Blood." Chiron explains, showing the map of Long Island to the Chaldeans.

Ritsuka nodded, "Okay, seems like we have some ground to cover but it's not a problem." The Magus commented, looking at the map closely.

Sion, after stabilizing Nemo, that he's fully awake but not able to walk joined Ritsuka in the little meeting. She steps forward, taking a look at herself. "I'm curious, just how powerful is that Bounded Field that tree is producing?"

"Very powerful, it wards off and prevents any Demonic Beasts from entering the Camp," Chiron stated, informing the Alchemist. "The Tree itself was once a Demi-God Child of Zeus himself. After an accident, Zeus used his powers to save her by turning his Daughter into the very Tree that generates the very Barrier that protects Camp Half-Blood."

Dionysus cleared his throat, looking at the group. "Um, if I may say something."

"Yes? What is it, Dionysus?" Ritsuka looks at the God of Wine, placing down a wine bottle on his desk.

Dionysus looks over to a pale blonde feminine Boy with big amber eyes. He wore rather large baggy grey clothing and grey boots. However, the Boy wasn't the one that the God was staring at. "That Child, tell me again why you brought Apollo with her?"

"Um, Lord Dionysus…I'm male." Paris spoke politely to the God of Wine. "Plus Lord Apollo-"

"Paris, there's no need to make Brother Dionysus confused." The Chaldean Apollo commented while sitting on the Archer's shoulders. "Young, old, it doesn't matter. You're still Paris,"

Ritsuka looks at the God of the Sun, raising his eyebrow at him. "Didn't you make Paris like that because you liked him when he was a young Shepard? Because it was the time when his cuteness was prime?" The master asked his Servant.

The Chaldean Apollo shrugs, taking it as a compliment. "Yep, and I'm not one bit ashamed!" The Sun God stated.

"To be fair, I'm not surprised that our Apollo would do something like that." Dionysus sighs, pouring another Wine glass for himself (much to his dismay). "Am I right…Brother?" He eyes the second Sheep on the Archer's shoulders.

"Now, now, Brother, you have to admit, Paris did look quite adorable when he was a Shepard." The Living Apollo (now a Sheep) commented. He turns to his Terminal, smiling at him. "To think you still have the same taste as me, my Terminal."

The Chaldean Apollo chuckles, "Of course, I'm you but a lesser Divine form. We have exquisite taste when it comes to lovers." The Sheep commented.

The Living Apollo nodded, agreeing with his Terminal. "Indeed we do," They both laugh together,

Asclepius's eye twitches, ready to tear the two Sheep apart. "Master, please…end my nightmare." He begs.

"It's going to be fine, Asclepius. Just bear with it until the end of the Anomaly." Ritsuka placed his hand on his Caster's shoulders.

"But why did you come? You know Zeus would be furious if he were to find out you are-"

The Living Apollo shrugs, "As long as I don't interact with my Children then I'm not breaking any rules." The Sheep stated, "Besides, after spending time with my Terminal and Paris; hearing about their adventures with Ritsuka Fujimaru in the…Lostscarf or something. That got me thinking, what would it be like being on an adventure like that."

"Hence I took on the same Sheep form." The Living Apollo motions to his current body he was in.

"And I don't mind at all." The other Apollo chuckles, both patting their little hooves together on their host's head.

Dionysus crosses his arms, wanting to return to the meeting. "So, is there any cure for the Poison?" The God of Wine asked.

Ritsuka looks at Asclepius to answer the Geek God, "Asclepius?"

The Caster shook his head, looking at the sample he retrieved from Thalia's Tree. "Unfortunately I just got this sample, so there's no known cure for the moment," Asclepius informed the group. "But I shall start my examination of the Poison,"

The Living Chiron looks at the God of Medicine. "I shall assist you, Asclepius." The Centaur said, wanting to assist his Student,

"I much appreciate it, Teacher," Asclepius said, accepting his former Mentor's help. With that settled the two head to another room to begin analyzing the Poison used on Thalia.

"So now that's settled, let's figure out what that attack was about," Ritsuka stated, moving on to their next agenda.

Dionysus shrugs, taking a sip of his drink. "Well, it's obvious that the main reason for those Enemies is that this Camp is filled with Demi-Gods." The God of Wine commented, assuming that was the case.

Paris nodded, looking at the People in the room. "Yes, seems right to me. A large gathering of Divine Children would gain the attention of Demonic Beasts." The Archer commented.

"A place both safe and yet dangerous for Divine Children." The Chaldean Apollo added his thoughts to the conversation. "I get that it's a way to strengthen your presence in the World, but is it really smart to gather everyone in one place?"

The Living Apollo looks at his Terminal, answering him. "Look, I may not know how your World works but I'm sure that you can't keep an eye on every one of my Children at once." The Sheep said to his other self.

"Hmm…understandable." The Chaldean Apollo commented.

"There's one thing I don't understand about that attack," Sion said, continuing with their meeting.

The Archer Chiron looks at the Alchemist from Atlas, "What do you don't understand, Miss Sion?" He asked,

The violet-haired Alchemist turns to the Greek Sage, "I get attacking this Camp is a major blow to you Gods. But I can't shake the feeling that there's something else going on." Sion ponders on the attack earlier. "Like this attack is some sort of distraction…"

"What other reason other than attacking a major crutch to the Olympians?" Dionysus asked the Human before him.

"Is there something else important that the Archer might be interested in?" Ritsuka asked the Gods presence in the room. "Like a Divine Construct or a person?"

The Living Apollo shrugs, answering the master of Chaldea. "I'm not sure, the only thing I could think of is-"

"TARTARUS!" Dionysus realizes what his Sibling is mentioning. "Out of all the things, they're after him!" The dark-haired God cursed, seeing he was the possible target for these Enemies.

Paris among his master, Chaldean Apollo, and Sion were confused with the Gods' distress. "Um, what's going on? Why you guys are in a panic?" The Archer asked, taking note of the pale faces of the Divine Beings before him.

"Well, Paris my friend, you're aware of the Prophecy that we Gods are wary of." The Living Apollo informed the three Chaldeans, "I assume you know what that was about, Ritsuka Fujimaru." He said, looking at the Magus.

Dionysus groans at the troublesome situation they find themselves in. "Ah! Screw it, Dad can suck it." The God of Wine cursed his Father, turning to Ritsuka. "Those People are targeting him because of the events of last year with the Boy."

Ritsuka nodded, hearing the dark-haired God complain, most likely because of the Prophecy. "I see, so Percy Jackson is the target of Archer of Crete and his army." The Magus commented before deciding on something. "All right, if Percy is the target of Archer and his army then the only option is to get to him first."

Sion nodded, agreeing with the decision. "Since the others are incapacitated then I support this next move." The violet-haired Alchemist stated, "Though I highly suggest taking just one or two Servants to accompany you."

"The others need to stay here to protect this Camp." Sion continued, "With the Barrier down, we need to protect the Demi-Gods here." The Alchemist stated,

Ritsuka nodded, taking Atlas Ally's advice to heart. "Okay, I'll think about-"

The Living Apollo raised his hooves, gaining the attention of the Chaldean master. "Um, hey do you mind if you take Paris with you?" The God of the Sun asked the master of Humanity. "I like to know you guys do things to protect Humanity."

"Why not, welcome aboard Apollo." Ritsuka welcomed the God of the Sun to his Team. "Now the only thing is to find a way to get to where Percy is…"

"I have a way," The Living Chiron spoke, offering them assistance.

Meriwether College Prep

It's been a hectic last couple of Days since returning to School. Percy has been reacquainted with the School's Bullies and the bullying has been doing their yearly Bullying.

Things were the same as the years before that, same Students panicking over their Grades, the same Teachers wrapping up, and the same Friends which is zero. The only one that he could consider a Friend (Now that Grover is missing) was a large Kid named Tyson, a homeless Orphan that the School brought in so the Students could learn about homeless Children.

It was the last English Class of the year and the Teacher had them read Lord of the Flies. A story where some Kids get marooned on a deserted Island where they go insane.

The Teacher then had Percy and his Class go outside where they left them be. Without Adult supervision to see what happened.

Percy stood on the blacktop, unsure what to do much like some Kids. He looks around and sees the School Bully, Matt Sloan.

During their non-Adult supervision, he witnessed Sloan giving everyone wedgies. Something that is common around the School.

Then the black-haired Boy noticed Sloan going after Tyson. He snuck behind him and gave a wedgie, only for him to smack him away.

"You Freak!" Sloan looks up at Tyson who starts to tear up. "Why don't you go back to your cardboard box!" The Bully shouted at the sobbing Tyson.

"Take it back!" Percy had enough of Sloan's Bullying,

Matt Sloan stood up, looking at the black-haired Boy coming up to Tyson's defense. "Why do you even bother, Jackson? You might have Friends if you weren't sticking up for the Frea-"

Percy clenched his fist, glaring at him. "He's not a Freak, he's just-" He didn't find the right words to describe Tyson, but Sloan wasn't listening.

He looks at the two large Teenagers behind Matt, both are laughing at him and Tyson. Percy hasn't seen the two before, and yet they seem to be familiar.

A sudden pain shot through his head. 'The Enemy has found our base! Rider, with me!' A Man with long blonde hair among others was fighting and shouting around them against Monsters of unknown origins.

"Jackson!" The Demi-God looks at Sloan with his two new lackeys. "Did you hear me? I said just wait until PE, then you'll get what is coming." Sloan said, leaving with his two new Friends.

Soon enough, their English Teacher returned to inspect what happened a few minutes later. Announcing to the Class that they successfully passed the Class,

The Students were leaving, hearing the next Bell ring heading to their next Class. Percy sighs before feeling Tyson behind him. "Percy…I-I am a Freak?"

"No, Sloan's the Freak," Percy said, comforting the big Kid. He gritted his teeth at the thought of Sloan's Bullying.

He shook his head, smiling at the big guy. "Hey, everything's going to be fine now." Percy comforted Tyson before motioning his head to the School. "Come on, we got a Science Final today."

Tyson gave a grateful expression, something Percy felt guilty about. Eventually, the two went back inside the School, heading to their Science Class.

Down the block, a Taxi appeared out of nowhere stopping near the sidewalk. The door opened, and stepping out was Ritsuka in a plain white shirt and jeans with dress shoes. "Huh, I think there was a School here from our World." He commented, seeing the School down the block.

Following Ritsuka, Caenis steps out still in her Servant form. "Talk about reckless driving. How can the Drivers operate a damn Taxi where they only have one eye!" The Lancer glares at the three gray Women in front of the Driver's seat.

"We got you here in one piece," One Gray Woman stated,

"You otta be grateful, young Lady! You said that you want to get here fast, and we deliver." The Second Gray Woman said, glaring at Caenis with empty eye-sockets

Caenis didn't hesitate, almost materializing her Lance. "Damn empty-eyed Bi-"

"Lancer, now, now, there's no need to get angry here." Paris prevented a murder scene right on New York's streets.

"He's right, we're still in a Human Territory. Any action against anyone, Human or other beings will cause some commotion." The Chaldean Apollo said, knowing how Human Authority works after being with the Humans of Chaldea.

The Third Gray Woman smiles, hearing what the Divine-Spirit says. "That's little Sheep is right, now our toll." She held her hand out of the window. "Our services aren't for free you know."

The Living Apollo turns to Ritsuka, "Yeah, I figured as much. Ahem, Ritsuka Fujimaru, do you have the change Chiron gave you?" The God of the Sun asked the Magus.

Ritsuka rummaged through his pocket, taking out some golden coins. "Here, that should pay for everything," The Magus handed the coins to the Grey Sisters before asking them something. "Um, hey do you mind-"

"Staying?" The Second Sister said what Ritsuka was about to say.

"No can do, we got other places to go and other People to take." The Second Sister explains to the Magus, "You understand, right?"

"However, since you paid and prevented that brute from damaging our Taxi. We'll cut a deal." The Third Sister said, taking a liking to the Magus. "Whenever you need of us, just call." She said, offering a special offer to Ritsuka.

Ritsuka took the offer, "Alright, thank you." He said, watching the Taxi drive off before disappearing into just the headlights and smoke.

Caenis clicked her tongue, "Damn those three Bitches."

"Based on their appearance and they're related, they're most likely to be the Gray Sisters, the Daughter of the Sea Gods Keto and Phorcys," Ritsuka said, knowing of the Sisters from Greek Mythology.

"Ah, so those Women that the Hero Perseus encountered?" Caenis asked, frowning at the information. "Who the hell they are thinking they can drive when they're literally blind?" She commented.

"Best not to think of it, Lancer." The Living Apollo said before looking at the master of Chaldea. "Well, now that we're at Jackson's School; what now, oh master of Chaldea."

"First, Lancer, I need you to go into Spirit Form." Ritsuka looks at the Lostbelt Servant,

Caenis raised her brow, looking at her master. "Eh? Why is that master? Got a problem with me being here?" The Lancer asked him.

Ritsuka sighs, looking at one of the Heroes of the Argonauts. "Lancer, no offense, or anything but we're going into the School and you're…"

"Indecent," Paris added, saving his master from Caenis's wrath,

"Tch, you're lucky there master. Archer just saved your ass-hold up," Caenis looks at the School, sensing something off.

The Living Apollo raised his eyebrow at the Lancer. "Huh? What do you mean, Lancer?" He asked.

"There's Monsters in the School…" Caenis turns to her master, her expression serious about the situation. "Master,"

Ritsuka nodded, understanding what needed to be done. "Right, Lancer, Archer, let's go!" He ran to the School where Caenis went into her Spirit form on her master's request while Paris and the Apollos followed behind.
