Liam Groaned as He laid There,Against the Tree,With his Eyes Closed,For Another Minute.
Before,Liam Gasped Out,In Surprise, as He opened his Eyes,And,Sat Upright,Finally,Waking Up,From the Impact,That,He had received.
Liam looked Around,For Chase and the Others,But,All He could See was a Bunch of Trees and a Whole Lot of Rain.
"Chase,Skye," Liam called Out as He attempted to stand Up,Back,Onto his Feet.
"Ouch!" Liam shouted as He fell,Back,Onto the Ground,And,Grasped his Arm.
Liam sat Up,And,Leaned Against the Tree,That,He had Hit,So,He could,At Least,Be Sitting Upright.
Liam looked Down at His Arm,To see,Why,He was feeling Pain There.
The Minute,That,Liam had looked at It,He Gasped,Seeing a Small Branch,Impaled,Right,Through his Arm.
"Oh My Gosh,How did That get in There?" Liam asked Himself,as He looked at his Impaled Arm.
Liam looked Around,Once Again,Hoping,This Time,That,He would find Somebody walking,Towards Him,But,He found Nothing,Nothing but Trees.
"Man,I can't,Just leave It in There,I need to get It Out,Somehow,Hopefully,Without making It Worse," Liam whispered to Himself as He grabbed,Onto the Branch,In his Arm.
Liam winced,The Second,That,He touched It.
"Ooh,Okay,Okay,Just take It Out,Quickly,And,Then,It'll be Over With,Just Grab It,And,Pull It Out," Liam repeated,To Himself,Trying to convince Himself,To,Just pull It Out.
Liam took a Slow,Deep Breath In and Out,Before,Grabbing the Stick,Again,And,Yanking It Out of his Arm.
Liam Screamed Out,In Pain,as He grasped his Arm,Tightly,And,His Head fell Back,Against the Tree,Going Back Unconscious.
Back at the Lookout.
Marshall,Everest,Tracker and Rex were,Now,All Out of Their Hiding Places,And,Trying to figure Out,What to do Next.
"We haven't heard,From It,In Awhile," Marshall muttered to Everest.
"Yeah,Doesn't mean,It's Gone,Forever,Marshall," Everest informed.
"Yeah,But,We can't,Just stay Here,Forever,Either,Everest," Marshall warned.
"Marshall's Right,It will find Us,Eventually,And,When It does,It will kill Us" Rex agreed,Stating,Who,He was agreeing With.
"Yes,But,If We Go Up There,Too Early,We'll die,Anyway," Everest retorted,Pointing Out,How They couldn't,Just Leave,Either.
"At Least,It's Better,Than Staying Here,Doing Nothing," Marshall pointed Out,Firmly.
"Yeah,I'd rather,Risk My Life,Trying,Then,Spending It,Hiding Down Here," Rex added,Once Again,Agreeing with Marshall's Point.
Everest Scoffed,When She heard That.
She could,Not believe,The Fact,That,Marshall and Rex were,Ganging Up on Her
"Tracker,Please,Tell Them,That,We should Stay Here," Everest requested,Politely,Wanting Him to tell Them,That,She was Right.
"No,Tell Her,That,We need to Go Up There,Like You Said," Marshall commanded,Rudely,Wanting Him to tell Her,That,They were Right.
"Actually,You're Both Right," Tracker corrected.
"Huh?" Marshall and Everest responded,In Confusion,as They looked at Him,With Looks of Shock,And,Raised Eyebrows.
"What do You mean,Tracker?" Rex asked,Softly.
"Pfft,It's,Probably,A Bad Idea," Marshall assumed,Thinking,It was gonna be Horrible.
"I'll tell You,What I mean,Mi Amigo,If I remember,Correctly,Somewhere,Down Here,There is a Map of the Whole Lookout,A Map,That,Includes All the Secret Passageways,That,Are Hidden,Throughout the Lookout,If We can find One,Down Here,That,Leads to Up There,We can Escape,From Down Here,Undetected by the Lightning,Doing a Mixture of Both Points,I made This Plan,So,Uh,What do you Think?" Tracker explained,Explaining his Answer,And,Making a Plan,That,All of Them might Like,By doing One,With Both Points,Mixed,Before,Asking Them,If They liked the Plan,Or Not.
When Tracker turned to Marshall,Everest and Rex,All He could See was,The Three of Their Mouths Hanging Open,From the Shock of,How Good his Plan was.
Back in the Forest.
Liam was,Still,Laying,Against the Tree,Unconscious,From,What had Happened,Previously.
That was,Until,A Large Twig Snapped,Loudly,Nearby,Awakening Liam,And,Alerting Him.
Liam looked Around,For the Source of the Snapped Twig.
"Hello! Is Anyone There?" Liam shouted Out,To the Forest,Hoping,That,Someone would answer Him,So,They could help Him,Get Out of There,And,To Shelter.
But, There was No Answer.
"Chase! Is That You?" Liam asked,Just Guessing on,Who was,Coming towards Him.
Still, There was No Answer.
Liam Sighed as He continued to see Nothing.
"Man,I must be going Crazy,From the Blood Loss," Liam commented to Himself.
Then,Liam thought about It.
"Wait,But,I'm not bleeding,That Much,There's No Way,That,I could be Hallucinating," Liam realized,Starting to get Quite Confused on,If What was Happening was Real,Or,Not.
Liam looked Around,One Last Time,Just to make Sure,That,No One was Around.
Liam Groaned,In Frustration,as an Idea came to Him.
"Maybe,I should,Just lay Down,For a Little While,Longer," Liam suggested to Himself,as He,Sunk Down to the Tree Trunk,And,Was,About to get Some Sleep.
But,When Liam looked Up to the Upper Parts of the Tree and the Sky,Something could be Seen.
"Huh?" Liam responded,In Confusion,as He looked at the Thing,Curiously.
Right Then,The Thing,That,He was looking at,Strangely,Began to Creep Down the Tree Trunk towards Him.
Liam's Eyes Widened as He came to a Realization,The Thing,That,He was looking at was Alive,And,Was Hungry for Him.
Liam held in his Breath and a Scream as He watched the Creature,Slowly,Start to Crawl Down to Him.
The Creature,That,Liam was looking At,Was pretty Weird Looking.
The Creature was a Humanoid Creature,That,had Antlers on It's Head,Like a Deer,It had an Animal Skull for a Head and Face,And,It had a Body made Up of Black Sticks and Vines,With Claws,On It's Hand,Made for Killing Someone,Just like Liam,Or,A Pup,Who Happened to be All Alone,Searching for a Distress Call.
Liam had,Just discovered,What had Happened to Rubble,This Thing,Either,Ate Him,Or,Took Him to feed Off of Him,For Later.
"So,You're,What's Happened to Him,Now,I know,Who to blame," Liam whispered to the Creature,as He watched It,Slowly,Get Off the Tree,To Stand Over Him.
Liam shook with Fear,His Lips Quivered,as He eyed the Creature,While,It crawled Off the Tree Trunk,Right onto Liam.
The Creature Snarled as It tilted It's Head to the Side,Finding the Fact,That,Liam wasn't Running,Interesting.
The Creature lifted It's Hand as It took Out It's Claw,About to Slash Him,And,Kill Him.
"Rocky! Skye! Anyone!," Liam called Out,Quietly,as the Creature moved It's Face,Closer to Liam's,Observing It's Prey,Before,It was going to eat It.
"Hey! Off of Him,Now!" Skye demanded,From Behind the Creature,as Her,Zuma and Chase stood There,Behind the Creature,Seeing It,Standing Over Liam,To kill Him.
"Oh My Gosh,What is That Thing?" Zuma wondered,Looking at It,With Disgust on his Face.
"If I had to Guess,I'd say,That Thing is Responsible for Rubble's Disappearance," Chase guessed.
"Guys,Guesses Later," Skye ordered.
The Three turned Back to the Monster,Standing Over Liam,And,Saw,It's Claws about to stab,Into Liam.
"NO!!!" The Three yelled,In Unison,as They watched It lower It's Claws,Towards Liam.
Liam Screamed Out as He watched It's Claw,Start to Come,Right at Him.
Suddenly.
Rocky jumped,Into the Creature's Side,Forcing the Creature Off,And,Ramming It,Into a Tree.
"Rocky!" Liam called Out,In Relief,Having seen Him,Ram into the Creature.
"Guys,Get Him,Out of Here,Now," Rocky commanded.
"Yeah,And,Take Him Where,Rocky?" Chase questioned,Subtlely,Pointing Out the Fact,That,They were,In the Middle of Nowhere.
"Take Him to That Cabin,Over There," Rocky replied,Not Turning to Them,So,He could keep an Eye on the Monster.
"What Cabin?" Zuma retorted,In Confusion.
"Uh,Zuma,I think,He's talking about the One,Over There," Skye pointed Out,as He pointed with Her Head,To Where Rocky was telling Them to take Him.
"Alright,Liam,Come On," Chase requested
"Whoa,Whoa,Not without Rocky," Liam disagreed,While,He,Slowly,Got Back onto his Feet.
"Liam's Right,We can't leave Him," Skye agreed,Agreeing with,What Liam was Saying,Not wanting to leave a Teammate.
"Just Go!!!" Rocky lashed Out,Angrily,as He turned to Liam and the Others,With an Angry Growl,Trying to make Sure,That,They got to Safety,Before,It was Too Late.
Right Then,The Creature opened It's Eyes,And,Hit It's Claw's,Into Rocky's Face,Hitting Him to the Ground.
"Rocky!!!" Liam,Chase,Skye and Zuma shouted Out,At the Same Time,as They witnessed Rocky,Flying from,In Front of the Creature,To the Ground.
The Monster,Hearing Their Shouts,Turned to Them as It Growled,Ferociously.
Skye Gasped as Her,Chase,Zuma and Liam,Slowly,Started to Back Up,Towards the Cabin.
The Monster Growled as It began to,Approach Them,Carefully.
That was When.
Rocky jumped,Onto the Creature,Attempting to buy Them,Some Time,as He tackled the Creature to the Ground.
"Guys! Run!!!" Rocky ordered,as He put his Paws,On the Creature's Neck,Trying to keep It pinned to the Ground.
"Liam,Skye,Let's Go," Chase demanded as Him and Zuma took Off Running,Towards the Cabin.
"No,We can't leave Him," Liam shot Back,Not wanting to leave Rocky.
"You Guys need to Go,Hurry," Rocky urged,Now,Struggling to hold the Creature Down.
The Monster Roared,In Irritation,as It struggled to get Out of Rocky's Grip.
"But,Rocky," Liam tried to Say.
"Go!!!!" Rocky directed,Turning to look at Liam,With a Solumn Face,Knowing,He's not gonna make It.
Chase and Zuma ran to the Cabin Door as They stopped,Right at It.
Chase stood,On his Hind Legs,And,Opened the Door,Using his Mouth,as Him and Zuma ran,Into the Cabin.
"Come On,You Two," Chase and Zuma instructed.
All of a Sudden.
The Monster Roared,Once More,as It bit,Rocky,In the Shoulder.
Rocky Screamed Out,In Pain,as He felt It,Bite Him,In the Shoulder.
The Monster picked Rocky Up,By the Shoulder,With It's Teeth,And,Threw Him,Into the Tree,Severely Hurting Him.
"NO!!" Liam responded,In Concern,as He watched It,Throw Rocky,Into the Tree.
"Liam,We don't have a Choice,We've gotta Go,Rocky's Gone," Skye informed as She looked at Him,With a Sad Look.
Liam turned to Skye,To see her Sad Look,Knowing,That,She knew It,Too,And,Deep Down,Liam knew It,Rocky was Gone.
Liam nodded,In Agreement as Both Skye and Liam took Off,Running,Towards the Cabin,As Fast as They could.
The Monster stabbed It's Claws,Into Rocky's Back,as It began to drag Him Off,While,Simultaneously,Watching the Other Two run,Right to the Cabin.
Liam and Skye ran,Into the Cabin,as They,Then,Shut the Doors,Behind Them.
The Monster Growled,Silently,as It dragged Rocky Off,Away from There,Already planning to come Back for the Others.
And,Once It did,It wasn't going to leave Anyone Left.
