Hi, this mastershadow300 this is my version of sonic X, I don't own sonic.
my version involves more characters than the ones from the series, I hope you like it.

Choas Emerald saga,

"Little Chao Lost".

Nicole is in the virtual world reading the personal files of Shard the hedgehog.

"Shard the hedgehog," Nicole said." (thinking)' I have to admit, he's cute Mobian or Robian. wait why did I think that?!'

She sees that he's the son of the captain of queen Aleena's royal guard.

"Son of the captain of Aleena's royal guard?!" Nicole said surprised."

His abilities are a speed/power/flight/and balance.

"He would be very balance, if he became a full Robian... (she shutters): I must warn the others!" Nicole said." And ask queen Aleena if she knows what happened to his father."

(Scene: An unknown location)

Tanaka is praying to a statue for Chris and his friends to have a safe trip.

(Scene Change: A bus stop)

Nearby, Chris, Danny, Frances, Hope, Tails, The Mobians minus the parent Mobians are waiting for the bus.

"Let's see, it says the town's located deep in the mountains. I guess we'll have to transfer here. It should take another hour," Chris said."

(Annoyed)" What? How far do we have to go?" Amy asked."

"It's not that far, Amy," Danny replied." Why not just think of this as just part of the adventure?"

"And complaining won't get us their faster," Hope said."

"Camping is not my idea of an adventure," Amy said."

"Come on, ames, give it a try," Manic said."

"Yeah, it might be fun," Nicky said." Look, Morain isn't complaining."

"Actually, she's reading about the samurai warriors," Renee said."

Morain is seen reading a book about samurais. Frances turns around and begins massaging Amy.

"Oh, we're going to have lots of fun, I promise!" Frances said."

"All right, if you say so," Amy said."

"I do!" Frances said."

The girls giggle.

"Hey Chris, so, you know a good place to set up camp when we get there?" Tails asked."

"I hear there's a great place near a river north of here. It's nice and peaceful, and it's good for fishing too," Chris said."

"Sounds like a good spot," Ray said."

"Yeah, perfect to relax," Matilda said."

"And enjoy nature," Mighty said."

"It does sound like a perfect spot! And maybe you and I can go for a swim, Cheese. Sound fun?" Cream asked."

"Chao!" Cheese replied."

Nearby, Mr. Stewart is studying the bus routes and timings.

"Uh, bus service to Hot Springs Village...," Stewart said."

He activates his communicator watch as Hope watches him suspiciously.

"This is Stewart. Do you read me? Listen carefully. The bus to Hot Springs Village leaves every hour, on the hour, from bus stop number three...Have you got that?" Stewart asked."

'Better keep an eye on him,' Hope thought.'

"What are you looking at Hope?" Danny asked."

"Oh, uh the weather, in case there would be rain," Hope replied."

(whispering)" this isn't about Mr. Stewart being a spy again, is it?" Chris asked."

"Shhh! (whispers in Chris' ear): I don't want to ruin their fun," Hope replied."

"Okay. still, I don't really believe that thing about him being a spy," Chris said."

"We still want to enjoy this trip, but let's just be careful, alright?" Hope replied."

"Alright, I will," Chris replied."

"Thank you," Hope said."

"you guys said something?" Danny asked."

"Oh, I just sneezed, and Hope said bless you," Chris replied."

Soon, he waves a yellow flag for his group.

"All right, students, line up! The bus'll be here any minute now," Stewart said."

He blows a whistle.

"Mr. Stewart sure is excited," Danny said."

"I'll say," Chris said."

"Hey Frances, how come Mr. Stewart's coming? Wouldn't this trip be a lot more fun if it was just us kids and teens?" Tufftee asked."

"Yeah, it kind of kills the fun," Maisy said."

"Don't know. Maybe he wants to have some fun too," Frances replied."

"Plus, it'll be a lot safer if an adult chaperoning our trip," Chris said."

"can't argue with that," Sonia said."

"True," Tiara said."

Amy is sweaty and her eyes are half-closed with an annoyed smile on her face.

"All I can say is this this whole camping thing better be fun, or they're gonna hear it from me," Amy said."

"And I thought Sonia complains too much," Tania said."

"Where's Sonic and Sally, anyway?" Chris asked."

"They're not much for camping. He says he's gonna explore the city with Sally. they're on their way there now," Tails replied."

Meanwhile, Sonic and Sally (her speed kicked in) are seen running alongside a train before breaking away from it.

(The opening theme plays)

(Scene Change: The bus)

Soon, the bus is on the move. Sonic's friends and family are enjoying the scenery.

"Look at that," Cream said."

"Chao chao!" Cheese said."

"it's beautiful," Maisy said."

"I can tell this place has history like the dragon kingdom back on Mobius," Cyrus said."

After a while more of riding, the bus arrives at Tanaka's hometown.

"Mr. Tanaka, we're here," Chris said."

He and his friends disembark from the bus.

"I trust you had a safe trip," Tanaka said."

"Sure did," Mighty said."

"Your homeland is really beautiful, Mr. Tanaka," Chris said."

"Thank you, Master Chris. I hope you and your friends will enjoy your stay here. It certainly was a wonderful place for a boy to grow up," Tanaka said."

(Beams)" I can see why," Chris said."

The bus drives away.

"Where do we go from here, Mr. Tanaka?" Amy asked."

"Well, just follow me and I will take you," Tanaka replied."

(Frantically runs up while flailing his arms)" Now hold on just a minute there, sir! Just let me get out my flag here... I will be your official guide!" Stewart said."

Waving his flag, he leads everyone onward.

"Step lively, kids!" Stewart said."

"wouldn't it make more sense to follow someone who grew up here?" Hope asked."

"We can both be guides," Tanaka replied."

Hope sighs.

"Look at the mountains!" Cream said."

"And all the nature around us," Amy said."

"it's like the great forest and Knothole back on Mobius," Tails said."

"Nothing but blue skies, trees, grass. Sure, is pretty, huh, Cream?" Chris asked."

"It's the most beautiful place we've ever seen," Cream replied." isn't it, Cheese?" Cream asked."

"Chao chao!" Cheese replied."

(Scene Change: Elsewhere)

Sonic (with Sally in his arms because her speed wore off) leaps over a pagoda, and runs past a gate.

"These pagodas are incredible!" Sonic said."

"Good thing we did research before we got here," Sally said."

(Scene Change: A tent)

The tents having been set up. Tanaka, Mr. Stewart, Tiara, Morain, and Amy are busy cooking a meal. Amy holds up what appears to be chopped onions.

"What's this smelly thing?" Amy asked."

"An onion. Mr. Tanaka is fixing us some lunch," Stewart replied."

Tanaka is chopping onions.

"You do that just like a real chef, Mr. Tanaka," Stewart said."

"It takes great concentration," Tanaka said."

Amy shows up with a bowl.

"Would you like to help me mix the dressing for the salad, Mr. Stewart?" Amy asked."

"Uh, well...," Stewart replied."

He takes the bowl from Amy.

"Sure, why not?" Stewart replied." (To himself) This camping trip won't be so bad after all. I have to keep an eye on Chris, but that doesn't mean I can't have fun."

Amy brings another bowl to Tanaka.

"Here's a bowl to put the vegetables in, Mr. Tanaka," Amy said."

"Perfect," Tanaka said."

"By the way, where are the others?" Amy asked."

"Good question," Morain said."

"they're out catching bugs," Tanaka replied."

"Fair enough, Tiara said."

(thinking)' I think I'm beginning to like this...," Stewart thought.'

(Scene Change: Forest)

Danny, Chris, Hope, Tails, Mighty, Cyrus, Manic, Ben, Tufftee, Tania, Muttski, and Ray are hunting for bugs. Danny attempts to catch a bug with a net, but it flies away.

"Got it! ... Aww...," Danny said."

"You just missed," Chris said."

"So, bug-catching is a human recreational activity?" Hope asked."

"Yeah, after we write them down in the notebooks, we let them go," Chris replied."

"Hmm...," Hope said."

Nearby, Tails pokes a pillbug with a twig, causing it to curl into a ball as he, Ben, and Cyrus watch.

"Whoa! That's the coolest thing I've ever seen!" Tails said."

"Yeah!" Ben said."

He picks up the pillbug.

"I'm gonna put it in a jar and take it home!" Tails said."

"We can also study it," Cyrus said."

"I thought we were only collecting bugs that fly," Danny said."

"Mm," Chris said."

"Are there rules to just catch flying bugs?" Hope asked."

"Not really, this activity is about having fun," Chris replied."

They begin walking away.

"Hello there, little guy," Tails said."

"we'll call you Rolly," Ben said."

Sonia, Tania, Isabelle, Monica, Tania, Tiara, and Morain were enjoying seeing the butterflies.

"they're beautiful," Monica said while using a camera to videotape them.

"Yeah, they are," Morain said."

(Scene Change: A stream.)

Frances, Alexis, Maisy, Isabelle, Monica, and Cream are wading in the stream.

"Wow, look at all the fish, Cream!" Frances said."

"Yeah, here's some!" Cream said."

She runs toward them. However, the fish leap out of the way.

"It jumped!" Cream said."

Frances giggles... until she sees Cheese floating away.

"Cheese! Watch out!" Frances said."

Cream runs after Cheese.

"Cheese!" Cream said."

"Come back! No!" Frances said."

Frances stops Cream before she can get too far.

"Cream don't, it'll take you too," Isabelle said."

"Cream, we have to tell the others!" Frances said."

(Scene Change: The camp.)

Everyone is reunited at the camp.

"Cheese must be at the river somewhere," Stewart said."

(Pointing)" About a mile from this spot, the river splits off in two different directions. There is no telling which way the current was traveling," Tanaka said."

Cream begins to cry.

"Cheese...," Cream said."

Meanwhile, at the Thorndyke mansion, one of Bunnie's ears start twitching.

(Gasps)" Cream's in trouble! She's crying!" Bunnie said."

"How can you tell?" Rotor asked."

"Sister instincts," Bunnie replied." Hang on Cream big sis is coming!"

She heads to the balcony and flies off.

"Zere goes a terrific woman," Antonie sad."

'I would do the same thing for Rotor's brother Skeeter,' Renee thought as she secretly looks at Rotor blushing.' if it means getting close to you.'

Back at the campsite.

"Don't cry, Cream; it'll be okay! Remember, Cream, Cheese is a very good swimmer," Amy said."

"Yeah, Amy's right," Tails said."

(Nods)" Mhm...," Cream said."

"I feel so bad. I should have done something," Frances said."

"Don't feel bad; it's not your fault," Chris said."

(Nods)" Mhm," Danny said."

Bunnie lands at the campsite.

"Ah came here as fast ah could! what's wrong?! Who hurt Cream?" Bunnie asked."

"She's crying because Cheese when down the river. how did you even find out?" Tails asked."

"it's called sister instinct, Tails," Bunnie replied." and don't fret none, my sweet little sis, you and Cheese will be together again in no time."

"But wouldn't you two be cousins since her mom is dating her uncle?" Danny asked."

"We have a sister relationship," Bunnie replied."

Cream hugs Bunnie.

"The current may be rapid, but there are many areas where the water is shallow. Cheese may very well be stuck in a patch of sand somewhere," Tanaka said."

"Let's all search, right away!" Danny said."

"Okay! We'll start an official search party!" Tails said."

Everyone raises their fists into the air.

(putting his hand on Cream's shoulder)" Don't worry Cream, we'll find him," Ben said."

"Yeah!" Chris, Danny, Hope, and the Mobians

(Scene Change: Forest)

Eggman, Snively, Eggette, Scratch, Grounder, Bocoe, and Decoe are making their way through the forest. They are wearing exploring gear, and, Scratch, Grounder, Decoe and Bocoe carrying the supplies on their backs.

"My feet are killing me," Bocoe said."

"you're lucky you don't have senses, my servos are burning up from all this weight," Scratch said."

Eggman turns around and throws his cap on the ground. It bounces up into the robots causing a domino effect.

"I can't take any more! It must be a hundred and twenty degrees out here!" Eggman complained."

"Actually, Doctor, it is exactly 95 degrees Fahrenheit," Decoe said."

"Mine says 35 degrees Celsius, which is really the same as 95 degrees Fahrenheit," Bocoe said."

"Either way, we are talking hot stuff," Grounder said."

"Be quiet! I didn't ask you for a weather report. Decoe, my chair! Bocoe, my fan!" Eggman said."

Decoe sets up a chair for Eggman to sit in and wipes away his sweat.

"Ah... All right. There we go," Decoe said."

"Nice and cool," Bocoe said."

He begins fanning Eggman.

"I'll get an ice pack!" Scratch said."

"No, I will!" Grounder said."

"I don't care who gets it!" Eggman said."

Grounder grabs an ice pack and puts it on Eggman's head.

"Here you go," Grounder said."

"Luckly Eggette and I came prepared by having ice packs in our helmets," Snively said."

"Pretty please, Doctor, can we have our vacation back in the Egg Fort where it is nice and cool?" Decoe asked."

"Yeah father! you know how much I hate nature," Eggette said."

"No. The theme of this vacation is roughing it, and like it or not, that's what we're going to do," Eggman replied."

Bocoe stops fanning.

"Oh well. At least mosquitoes don't like robots. I just hope you brought enough calamine lotion," Bocoe said."

"Good thing I brought seven packs," Snively said."

"Quiet!" Eggman said."

Eggman's shouting causes Bocoe to be blown backwards. Bokkun flies in and floats in front of Eggman. He is adorned in flowers.

"Hi!" Bokkun said."

"What are you doing here? I gave strict orders not to be disturbed," Eggman said."

"Heheheh, I know, I know. But I thought you should know about this!" Bokkun said."

Not too far away is the river. Mr. Stewart, Chris, Frances, Danny, Hope, and the Mobians are calling for Cheese. Eggman, Snively, Eggette, and his hench-bots are watching them. They are wearing twigs for camouflage in the undergrowth.

"What are those clowns doing here?" Eggman asked."

"This sure is a coincidence," Decoe replied."

"Perhaps they are looking for a Chaos Emerald," Bocoe said."

Eggman raises his head higher.

"Well, so am I!" Eggman said."

But Bocoe and Decoe push him back down.

"Get down! They'll see us!" Decoe said."

"In order to observe, we must remain incognito," Bocoe said."

"Oh, I'll remain incognito all right. As incognito as a snake in the grass!" Eggman said."

Mr. Stewart's group continue their hunt.

"Cheese! Are you there?" Tania asked."

"If you can hear us, make a sound," Alexis said."

Eggman, Snively, Eggette, Scratch, Grounder, Bocoe, and Decoe are still hiding in the bush, mere yards away. Eggman swats at a mosquito that lands on his head.

"Yow! That pesky mosquito just stuck its stinger into my soggy wet noodle!" Eggman complained."

"It is not like we did not warn him," Decoe said."

"Uh-huh," Bocoe said."

Eggman turns around angrily.

"All right, you lazy leeches! I want every mosquito here insecticided!" Eggman said."

"Couldn't we just use bug spray?" Scratch asked."

"Oh! Behind you!" Grounder said."

Eggman turns to see a giant flying insect swoop down at him. It leaves stinging welts all over his face before flying away. Eggman screams over and over with his voice getting higher pitched with each scream as Snively quietly snickers at Eggman's face covered in bumps. Soon, Decoe is seen appliying cream to Eggman's bite wounds.

"That cursed insect!" Eggman said." and thought the Mobians were annoying."

"Hey, was that a voice coming from over there?" Chris asked."

"Huh? Was it Cheese?" Frances asked."

"Uh-uh. It sounded like a man," Chris replied."

"Or a woman with a deep voice," tufftee said."

Alexis smacks the back of his head.

"Ow, what did I say?" Tufftee asked."

"Maybe someone else is camping," Stewart said."

"Maybe," Chris said."

The group resumes their search.

"(Cheese!) (Hey Cheese!) (We're on our way!)" the group called out."

The group suddenly hears Muttski barking. thus, they ran to where he is.

"Muttski must have found something," Tania said."

(Scene Change: A small cave)

The group has arrived at a cave that part of the stream enters.

"What if Cheese is inside that tunnel?" Cream asked."

"I'll look," Stewart replied."

Mr. Stewart bends down to look inside the cave, then stands up and shrugs.

"I'm afraid I can't fit," Stewart said."

"I'll bet we could all fit no problem. You wait here while we check it out," Chris said."

"I agree with Chris, but me, Chris, Danny, and Frances will have to crouch down," Hope said."

"All right. Promise you'll be careful," Stewart said."

"Okay," Chris said."

Chris, Hope, Danny, Frances, and the Mobians start to head into the cave.

"Just make sure you don't lose your way," Stewart said."

"We won't," Frances said."

With the group gone, Mr. Stewart activates his wristwatch. Little does Chris know there is a tracking device attached to him.

"Hey! They're coming in loud and clear!" Stewart said."

(Scene Change: An outdoor booth.)

Sonic and Sally are standing among a group of people watching the preparation of cookies shaped like horses, paper lanterns, and human faces.

"Hey...," Sonic said."

The mixture is poured into every other spoon, then combined with the empty spoons, before being placed in a container.

"Wow!" Sally said."

A woman making the cookies notices Sonic and Sally.

"Huh? Sonic! Sally!" the woman said."

"Huh?" Sonic said."

Sonic looks up to see the woman standing in front of him, smiling and holding a tray of cookies.

"Try a pastry!" the woman said."

The other people light up upon noticing Sonic and Sally.

"Thanks," Sally said."

They both take one and eats it. A man records Sonic and Sally eating it on a video camera.

"You like it?" the woman asked."

(Gives a thumbs up) "It's good!" Sonic replied."

"Yeah, it's delicious," Sally said."

The people smile and a few of them clap.

(Scene Change: Cave)

Chris' group reaches the other side of the cave.

"Guess this is the end of the tunnel. I wonder what's out here?" Chris asked."

They become surprised at the sight that meets their eyes.

"What?" Frances said."

The Mobians are especially surprised.

"Is... this real? It... can't be!" Hope said."

The sight that meets their eyes is a beautiful pond with a Chao colony.

"Hey, they all look just like Cheese!" Chris said."

"I can't believe it! It's a Chao colony!" Tails said."

"Oh!" Cream said."

"I didn't know Choa were even living here," Chris said."

"They can live on anywhere with fresh water," Cyrus said."

"they're even seen in the nameless zone," Morain said."

"they're mostly seen in mobotropolis, Knuckles' home and on Christmas Island," Monica said."

They head over, and soon interact with the Chao.

"Aww, they're all so cute!" Frances said."

"Hey look, Chris, they really like us!" Danny said."

"Yeah, I guess they can sense that we're friendly," Chris said."

One Chao fiddles with Tails' face fur.

"Hey, this one wants to go for a swim!" Tails said."

"And it wants you to join it," Maisy giggled."

Cream and Ben runs up to the pond's edge.

"Cheese!" Cream called out."

A Chao flies over.

"Is that you? ... I guess not," Cream said."

Another Chao flies to Cream.

"Oh, Cheese! ... Sorry...," Cream said."

"I see her, over there! I recognize that bow tie anywhere," Ben said."

She looks over and sees Cheese floating over.

"There you are!" Cream said."

Ben runs over and picks up Cheese as Cream runs over.

"Cheese!" Cream said."

She picks up Cheese from Ben and hugs her.

"Oh Cheese, you're okay!" Cream said."

"Told you we'd find her," Ben said."

"Thank you, ben," Cream said."

She gives Ben a kiss on his cheek. Ben's face turns red and faints in the water as Cream hugs Cheese.

"She's so happy. Come on out of that water, Cream; you're getting your feet all soggy," Frances said." You too Ben."

"It warms my heart seeing her happy," Bunnie said."

Cream walks over to the others. Ben gets up and walks to the others as well.

"I don't mind. All that matters is that Cheese is okay," Cream said."

"She sure is. Are you happy?" Chris asked."

"Uh-huh," Cream replied."

"Looks like Cheese made some friends," Nicky said."

"Chao-chao!" Cheese said."

Suddenly the other Chao begin vocalizing.

"What's up?" Danny said."

"They're all excited about something," Cyrus replied."

They see two Mobians one being a badger in a hole and a lemur hanging in a tree by her tail. the badger jumps out of the hole with a spear and points it at the group.

"Who are you?" The badger asked."

"Yeah!" the lemur said as she leaps out of the tree and lands next two her." Wait, Tails is that you?"

"Tangle, Sticks, you two are here two?" Tails asked."

"You know these two?" Chris asked."

"Yeah, they're our friends," Tails replied as sticks puts her spear down." this lemur is Tangle and this is Sticks the badger."

"Hi," Tangle said."

"Greetings," Sticks said." you spies?"

"No Sticks they're not spies, they're our friends," Tails replied."

"These are Cream, Chris, Frances, Hope, Mighty, Ray, Cyrus, Bunnie, Sally's niece and nephew Alexis, Tufftee, my cousin Morain, Ben, Muttski, my little sister Maisy, Matilda, Sonic's siblings Manic, Sonia, Tania, and Sonic's cousins Nicky, Isabelle, and Monica," Tails introduced.

"Nice to meet you," Tangle said."

"Wait, aren't you Eggman's niece?" Sticks asked as she was about to pull out her spear again.

"Relax Sticks, she's not like Eggman," Tails replied." we can vouch for her."

(Shaking Hope's hand)" and friend of Sonic is a friend of ours," Tangle said."

"So, Sticks why are living in a hole?" Frances asked."

"Government agents!" Sticks replied."

"Um, why on earth would government agents be in the mountains?" Frances asked."

"You never know where they're watching us," Sticks replied."

"you two must have appeared her on chaos control," Chris said."

"On WHAT! I knew something was different after that light." Sticks said."

Frances turns to tangle.

"What about you Tangle?" Frances asked."

"I lived in the trees next to her. and I decided to stay here because she's my best friend, the terrain is great, and the dirt is cheap," Tangle replied.

"That makes sense," Tufftee said."

"The chao do look happy," Tiara said."

"I'll bet they're just happy that Cheese found her friends again, that's all," Chris said."

"I think you're right," Frances said."

"It really is pretty here, don't you think?" Chris asked."

The Chao surround Cream and Ben.

"Sure is. Let's look around," Frances replied."

(Scene Change: Temple)

Several people are watching Sonic and Sally as they are standing on top of a temple. Sonic and Sally waves at the people below him.

"(There they are!) (Up there on the roof!)" the people said."

"Hi, Sonic!" a girl said."

"Hi Sally!" another girl said."

"Heh-heh-hey! Hiya, girls!" Sonic said."

(looking jealous)" Sonic, let's go!" Sally said pulling his ear."

The people are about to takes pictures of them, but they leap away.

"Oh, now I won't have a picture...," a girl said."

(Scene Change: Chao Colony)

"And that's why we're here," Chris said."

"So, he showed up after Chris met Sonic,

"Come on! Throw the ball, Danny!" Chris said."

Danny throws a berry to some Chao. One of the Chao catches the berry.

"Hey, nice catch!" Cream said."

"Chao!" Cheese said."

Frances explains why they were here with their teacher being transferred to our class.

And that's how we met Mr. Stewart," Chris said."

"So, he showed up after Chris met Sonic, he told you where to find a shiny, and he FOLLOWED you HERE!" Sticks said."

"Yeah? So?" Frances asked."

"SO! he's a spy!" Sticks replied."

"No way. spies are supposed to be cool," Frances said."

"NO! spies are supposed to be great actors!" Sticks said."

"Well, they can be both," Frances said."

Chris and Hope feed berries to some other Chao.

"Ah, these look great. Here," Chris said."

"Here you go," Hope said."

The Chao eat the berries.

"Look how they gobble them up," Hope said." I'm still surprised that a chao colony is here on earth."

(Nods) "Yup. And most of the Chao colonies are kept a secret especially from Eggman," Tails said."

Frances: "I guess they're kept a secret here too. I've never seen anything like this. It's like a whole different world!" Frances said."

"Yeah, a secret world," Mighty said."

(Scene Change: The Forest)

"How much longer do we have to keep this up?" Decoe asked."

"Please, can we go home now, Dr. Eggman? My bearings are killing me!"

"Quit your whining, will you?! I refuse to spend my week's vacation listening to your excessant bellyaching!" Eggman said as he Pants."

"I think he has heat stroke," Decoe said."

"Never mind him. If we don't stop roughing it soon, I'm going to overheat," Bocoe said."

"Decoe, I order you to empty that knapsack," Eggman said."

"Right away, Doctor," Decoe said."

He promptly unzips his knapsack.

"Oh?!" Bocoe said."

Inside is a portable slot machine.

"While I know this camping trip is all about getting back to nature, there are certain amenities one cannot do without, and this is one of them," Eggman said."

"Finally!" Eggette said."

He inserts a deck of cards into the slot machine.

"In we go," Eggman said."

After pulling the lever, the slots spin, then land on one choice: E-66 Da-Dai-Oh.

"A perfect choice. And now to wake up our little friend E-66," Eggman said."

Eggman pulls out a remote control, then activates it. It sends a red signal laser to the sunken Egg Fort II. Da-Dai-Oh emerges from it and leaps high into the air.

(Scene Change: Camp)

Amy and Tanaka are preparing the meal. Amy looks up from the salad she was tossing.

"Do you think they're okay, Mr. Tanaka?" Amy asked."

"I'm sure they are just fine. When I was a boy, I would play in those mountains from sunrise to sunset. They will be back soon," Tanaka replied."

"You mean once you were a young boy like Chris, Mr. Tanaka?" Amy asked."

"Certainly. I'll have you know I was not always a grown-up. Everyone is a child once," Tanaka replied."

(Off-screen)" Children!" Stewart yelled."

Mr. Stewart enters.

"You mean they haven't come back here yet?" Stewart asked."

"But we thought they were with you?" Amy asked."

"We were looking for Cheese and we found a small tunnel. The children and the Mobians went in to look, and I haven't seen them since!" Stewart replied." Where could they be?"

"They must have gotten lost," Tanaka replied."

"Well, at first I was tracking Chris' whereabouts with this monitor, but soon after they entered the tunnel, I lost contact," Stewart said."

He rolls up his sleeve, revealing the device he has been wearing. Static is shown on the screen.

"Wait, how are you tracking them?" Amy asked."

"Oh, I was experimenting with some gadgets, I used to be a science professor," Stewart replied."

Amy looks at the sky.

"I hope they're okay," Amy said."

Suddenly the shadow of Da-Dai-Oh can be seen flying over the tent. Amy covers her ears due to the noise of its engines. Tanaka and Mr. Stewart look up in surprise.

"It's Eggman!" Amy said."

(Scene Change: Chao colony)

The group is ready to leave.

"Goodbye, you guys," Chris said."

"Chao chao!" Cheese said."

"See you guys later!" Tangle said."

The chao vocalize their goodbye as the group heads into the cave.

"See you later!" Cream and Tails said."

"Bye!" Maisy said."

"Chao chao chao!" Cheese said."

Later, as they are walking, Cheese looks sad.

"Chao chao...," Cheese said."

"You feel lonesome, don't you, Cheese?" Cream asked."

Cheese nods.

"Maybe we can come back here next year," Chris said."

"Sure. We can pack some sandwiches and maybe play some baseball, and Cheese can play with their new friends again," Danny said."

"Slow down you two, we don't know if we'll be on earth next year," Hope said."

"Even if it's possible, I'm sure Cheese would love that. Cheese, that sound good?" Cream asked."

"Chao chao!" Cheese replied happily."

Suddenly, Da-Dai-Oh flies overhead. Danny screams as the robot hovers nearby. Eggman, Snively, Eggette, Scratch, Grounder, Bocoe, and Decoe are atop. Eggman is holding a megaphone.

(Gasps)" that's E-66 Da-Dai-Oh!" Hope said."

"Good day, my little explorers," Eggman said."

"Him again," Chris said." must he always cause trouble even when we're trying to relax?"

Da-Dai-Oh lands, crushing a few trees and sending a flock of birds scattering.

"Okay, kiddies, let's have it. Hand over that Chaos Emerald or else!" Eggman demanded."

"Yeah, hand it over," Eggette said."

"What Chaos Emerald?" Chris asked."

"What are you talking about?" Frances asked."

"He must have seen us looking for Cheese and thought we were looking for a chaos emerald." Hope replied."

"Don't play coy with me! What else would you scavengers be snooping around here for? (Pointing) Now hand it over!" Eggman demanded."

"Hey! There aren't any Chaos Emeralds around here!" Chris said."

Eggette elbows Bocoe and Decoe away.

"You can't fool us, you Emerald snatchers!" Eggette said."

"EXACTLY!" eggman said."

"Do not get overexcited, Doctor," Decoe said."

"You are beginning to perspire," Bocoe said."

Bocoe proeeds to wipe off Eggman's sweat, but the doctor grabs the cloth from him.

"Well, if you mite-sized meddlers won't cooperate with me, perhaps my friend E-66 will convince you!" Eggman said."

Da-Dai-Oh raises its arms and takes a step forward, causing the children to cower. Eggman laughs... until Da-Dai-Oh topples over and hits the ground, shaking it. The river starts to become polluted.

"How did that happen?" Danny asked."

"I guess the soil around here must be really soft. that's why that big thing tipped over," Hope replied."

"It serves him right for sicking his robot on us!" Frances said."

"Uh, guys we have a bigger problem," Mighty said."

"My brother's right look!" Matilda said."

"Oh no! The water! It's all muddy!" Cream said."

"Chao chao!" Cheese said."

Sure enough, the water has become completely polluted.

"Hey, you guys. That river runs into the Chao colony," Chris said."

"Come on. We have to do something," Danny said."

"Let's go!" Chris said."

They begin heading back towards the Chao's oasis. Meanwhile, Eggman, Snively, Eggette, Scratch, Grounder, Decoe, and Bocoe one-by-one unbury themselves from the mud caked on Da-Dai-Oh.

"Whoever heard of a mushy mountain?" Eggman asked."

"I have a feeling that E-66 and rugged terrain do not go hand-in-hand," Decoe replied."

"It might be more effective on hard land surfaces," Bocoe said."

"According to topological data, frequent rainstorms have made the soil around here soft," Snively said."

Eggman pushes Bocoe and Decoe back down.

"Keep quiet! Now help me dig out this cast-iron klutz. We've got some Emeralds to snag!" Eggman said."

Soon, a newly-cleaned Da-Dai-Oh is standing on flat ground at the base of the mountain. Bocoe and Decoe are holding brushes.

"The cleaning is completed, Doctor," Bocoe said."

"Well... Let's get going," Eggman said."

"Doctor Eggman, look! (Pointing) Sonic! Sally!" Decoe said."

Sonic and Sally are standing in front of Da-Dai-Oh. They were holding a white bag.

"Fancy meeting you here," Sonic said."

"Well, Sonic! Sally! I... er... I mean we... We were just doing a lovely bit of sightseeing," Eggman said."

"Yes," Bocoe said."

"For our vacation," Decoe said."

The large line of missing earth on the mountain does nothing to prove Eggman's claim.

"Ah... You're on vacation," Sally said sarcastically."

'Yeah, right egghead,' Sonic thought."

"Yes, vacation! See, I've been such a gloomy Gus of late I thought perhaps some leisure time in the fresh air might do me a bit of good," Eggman said."

"He so needs it," Decoe said."

"Is that so?" Sonic asked."

"Let it fly!" Eggman replied."

Da-Dai-Oh attempts to impale Sonic and Sally with one of its spiked fists, but misses. Sonic leaps into the air with Sally in his arms.

"They're gone!" Eggman said."

Sonic lands next to Eggman.

"Hi there. ... Haven't you clowns learned yet you'll never be fast enough to catch us?" Sally asked."

Sonic tosses the bag away.

"Later, kids," Sonic said."

Sonic and Sally (with her speed kicking in again) runs down Da-Dai-Oh's arm and out of sight. Then they come spinning back towards it and Homing-attacks its head, causing the entire robot to explode. Eggman and his hench-bots scream while they are sent flying into the air. They disappear with a twinkle.

"Too easy," Sonic said."

(Off-screen) Sonic! Sally!" Amy said."

Sonic turns to see Tanaka, Mr. Stewart, and Amy running towards him and Sally.

"Sonic, Sally, you two have to do something!- Oh, I see you've already done something," Stewart said."

(Nods)" Mhm," Sonic replied."

"what's going on?" Sally asked."

"Cheese got lost down by the river. They all went looking, but they haven't come back," Amy replied."

"we'll find 'em. Hold this, will ya?" Sonic asked."

Sonic tosses the bag behind him and Sally runs. Mr. Stewart and Tanaka catch the bag, but its contents spill out anyway. The three are surprised to see that it is full of souvenirs from Sonic and Sally's travels.

(Scene Change: The Chao colony)

The group are removing the mud using a makeshift scoop make of sticks and leaves. Sticks and Tangle help out after Chris explains what happened.

"We'll carry the mud out with this," Danny said."

"I don't think we can get it all, you guys," Chris said."

"We have to at least try, Chris. Otherwise, all these little Chao will get sick," Frances said."

"That's right, Frances. And if we all work together, it'll be a cinch," Tails said."

Suddenly some large rocks fell on the stream blocking the mud.

"What the?!" Chris said."

"it's my defense system, it'll block anymore mud protecting this place," Sticks said."

"Yeah, now save this colony!" Tangle said."

(Off-screen)" Now that's what we like to hear!" Sonic said."

Sonic and Sally are standing there among the Chao.

"So, all we gotta do is get rid of that mud," Sonic said."

"It's Sonic!" Chris said."

"Might wanna let me take care of this," Sonic said."

Everyone but Sonic and Sally backs away from the oasis.

"Here goes!" Sonic said."

They begin running around the oasis at supersonic speed, draining the mud and splattering the others in the process. Once finished, they slows to a stop.

"Okay, gang! It's all cleaned up!" Sonic said."

"Yup, Sally said."

Everyone cheers as the Chao head into the newly cleaned water, Chris, Danny, Frances, Tails, and Cream head over to Sonic.

"Sonic, Sally, you did it!" Chris said."

"You're all muddy!" Sonic said as he laughs."

Sally giggles as well.

The others look down at themselves.

"Wow, we really are dirty," Danny said."

"Guess I need a bath," Frances said."

"We all do," Sonia said disgusted."

"Thanks for doing that, Sonic," Hope said."

"Hey, my pleasure." Sonic said."

Sonic: "So now we got the security system set up for the chao colony. What are you two going to do now?"
Tangle: "Maybe we can live with Frances!"

(Scene Change: The camp)

Everyone is seated around the campfire that night.

"Bet you knew about the Chao colony, didn't you, Mr. Tanaka?" Chris asked."

"Of course, I knew, Master Chris. I stumbled upon that colony when I was a boy," Tanaka replied."

"Don't worry; we'll keep it a secret. Thanks to Sonic and Sally, maybe it'll still be here when I'm grown up," Chris said."

"Or perhaps even beyond, Master Chris," Tanaka said."

"By the way, I let Sticks to use some parts of Eggman's robot to assist Sticks and Tangle," Sally said."

"You what?" Hope asked."

"What is it Hope?" Sally asked."

"I'll be right back I just need to get a scan of the area," Hope replied."

Back at the colony, Hope sees that Sticks and Tangle has used parts of E-66 to make a perfect defense system to keep the chao garden safe as Sonic adds the finishing touch.

"So now we got the security system set up for the chao colony," Sonic said." What are you two going to do now?"

"Maybe we can live with Frances!" Tangle replied." if she's ok with it."

(winking)"I bet she'll be thrilled," Sonic said."

The episode ends.
