So since I've been bringing back old stories, I've decided to bring back an old series and as you can see... it's my Harry Potter series featuring my OC Anthony Black, the son of Sirius Black. Yeah, I deleted it the first time around due to it resembling another OC child of Sirius Black series too much. You might've read it, it's called Potter and Black by ArabellaBlack25, good series by the way, give it a read if you haven't.
Anyway, the series has been brought back and we're going through the books, not the movies because... well the books came out first and offered more compared to the movies. Got nothing else much to say except that I hope you enjoy this story and the series as well.
Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter. I only own the OC Anthony Black.
"Anthony! Get up and get some breakfast!"
"Yeah... yeah..." A boy mumbled into his pillow, stirred by the knocking on his door followed by his aunt's voice. He sighed and pushed himself up, turning to sit properly on the bed. He was a boy of eleven years, having recently turned last month in June, with short, but slightly messy black hair and dark blue eyes like the blue sea. He had often been told he looked like his father when he was that age, but he had his mother's eyes.
And it was a shame because... he had never met his father., as he had gone to prison when Anthony was a baby. And his mother died when he was three years old after their home was attacked.
So he lived with his relatives, well the nicer side of his big family actually. He lived with the Tonks, his aunt Andromeda, uncle Ted, and cousin Nymphadora though she didn't like to be called by her full name... which Anthony did so just to annoy her and it had resulted in them starting a prank war with each other when Anthony was nine years old.
His name was Anthony Black.
Anthony shuffled out of bed, dressed in simple pyjamas consisting of a top and bottoms, and made his way out of the bedroom and to the bathroom where he washed his face to give himself a little bit more of a wake-up call. Pnce that was done, he left the bathroom and went downstairs to the kitchen where he found his aunt making breakfast, while Ted and Nymphadora were sitting at the table. His cousin was eating her breakfast, which consisted of boiled egg, sausage and toast, while Ted was reading the latest article of The Daily Prophet.
"Morning." Anthony announced as he walked in and took a seat at the table. Not a second later, Andromeda placed a plate of toast in front of him, to which he nodded at her in thanks for before reaching for the jug of orange juice to pour himself a drink.
"So, 'Tony, think you'll get your Hogwarts letter today?" Nymphadora asked while taking a bite out of her toast.
Anthony nodded. "I should. I mean, we;re halfway through August by now."
"Oh don't worry, Anthony, some get their letters quite close to September, while some get them as early as the end of July." Ted assured him, turning a page.
"I did." Andromeda said from where she stood making breakfast, turning around to look at her nephew. "I got mine on the 30th of July, which gave me enough time to collect my school supplies. Don't worry, Anthony, you'll get your letter."
"It ain't whether or not I'll get the letter than's my biggest concern." Anthony muttered under his breath but his family heard him.
Nympadora eyed him softly. "You're wondering how people will react to your name."
Anthony nodded. "They'll make the connection quick and right away. And I won't be surprised if I start hearing whispers of becoming a 'Dark Wizard' like my father."
"Pay no mind to rubbish, Anthony." Andromeda said sternly, levelling him with that stern look that could make a Banshee cower in fear. "Just because you're Sirius Black's son does not mean you are like him. You're more like your mother, actually."
Anthony smiled. "Thanks Aunt 'Dromeda."
"And besides," Nympadora grinned at her cousin. "The other kids there will probably be too busy fawning over Harry Potter himself... that is if he's going to Hogwarts."
"No doubt Dumbledore will make sure of that." Ted said, looking up from his newspaper. "That boy would do better in Hogwarts than Durmstrang or Beauxbatons. So you may end up being friends with the most famous boy in our world."
Anthony snorted in amusement, finding it highly unlikely he'll meet Harry Potter. The boy will probably have many people wanting to be his friend because he's The-Boy-Who-Lived, the one who defeated the Dark Lord Voldemort.
The hoot of an owl got everyone's attention as a brown barn owl flew through the open window, carrying a letter in it's beak. It stopped right in front of Anthony and dropped the letter into his hand before it flew out the window again.
"That must be your letter." Andromeda said with a smile.
"Open it!" Nympadora said with an eager smile.
Returning the smile, Anthony opened the letter and took it out, reading aloud for his family to hear:
HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)
Dear Mr Black,
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.
Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress
Once he finished reading, Anthony looked up at his family to see them smiling at him, with Nymphadora announcing. "Now for the best part of it all; school shopping!"
I know the chapter is short... very short, but I'll work on making it longer. I just figured there should be a chapter on it's own about Anthony receiving his Hogwarts Letter. But don't worry, after this the chapters will be longer. Like maybe 5,000 words longer at best.
