Author's Note: So, no-ones watching so far.

BUT THAT WON'T STOP ME.

YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY!

CAUSE I AM FILLED WITH DETERMINATION TO FINISH THIS FANFICTION!

(Also note: this is in an alternate version of the multiverse, so the Villain Sans Squad never happened, and some of these aren't really 100% canon, there's just as much information as I can).

Long ago, humans and monsters lived in harmony.

And they still do.

Don't know why I phrased it like that, but oh well.

Humans and monsters have lived in peace for quite a while now. All because of one human child.

In the brink of a war, a young child, stepped in the line of fire to stop their adoptive father and their legal father from killing each other, and died in the process.

Through this process, the war ended in peace. King Asriel has taken over his father and ruled the city of Neptopolis peacefully.

However, that's not the story that is waiting to unfold.

My name is Frisk.

And my name is Chara.

And this is our story.

(Mt. Ebott: 5:00 pm, Thursday)

Chara was out at Mt. Ebott, picking flowers. She avoided the poisonous ones, and tried to take a yellow daffodil. However, a rat almost bit her in the process. Eve avoided it quickly, before stepping on it.

Her LV. increased by 1.

Chara sighed. She was sure killing that rat didn't mean anything.

'Guess it killed a lot of prey too… I guess that makes sense.'

She checked her LV. It was around LV. 10. Moderate.

LV stands for LOVE, which stands for "Level Of Violence." Measuring the capacity to hurt something. The more you hurt, the higher it becomes. If it goes over LV. 20, then your ability to care will cease, and you would be nothing but a soulless husk.

To prevent this, the Royal Judge Sans, judges whether you should live or die depending on your LV. If your LV. is at 19, then you are sentenced to death, before you could kill anyone else.

The thing is, asking someone not to hurt others is easier said than done.

No matter what happens, someone always gets hurt.

As such, Chara and her sister Frisk had only swore to harm, but never kill. Their skills are incredibly potent if they did go and kill everyone and everything, but they are currently pretty weak.

Chara had kept her LV. count a secret, not wanting her to worry.

Worry that she won't care for her anymore.

Chara picked the daffodils, before heading back to the orphanage.

(Orphanage: 5:20 pm)

Frisk was outside. She never had any friends. They always viewed her as… chaotic, a mess, a blight on society, a menace.

So as such, she often stays outside, alone, underneath a special tree, while drawing. Drawing pictures of them in space, or them but edgy, Chara and her but as the queens of the monsters.

Pictures with them and their parents.

Frisk always questioned the what if's, what would've been, what should've been.

She told Chara that she won't dwell on them too much, but… she never moved on from her parents death.

Hell, she didn't even know her parents name.

Chara's not even her sister.

Her real name is not even Frisk.

She didn't even know what gender she was.

She asked anyone she could, but even they don't have an answer for her. She just decided to identify herself as female. Chara gave her the name Frisk just because she enjoyed flirting with people, regardless of age.

Even then, that didn't satisfy her.

She wanted to figure it out eventually, no matter what.

"You're doing fine, my child?"

Frisk looked up to see the caretaker of the orphanage, Aster, daughter to the king and queen, King Asriel.

"I'm fine Ms, Aster," Frisk said, "Just waiting for my sis."

"Well, okay, it's just, you've been looking pretty down, that's all," she replied, "Still thinking about your parents."

Frisk said nothing, just looking down.

"It's okay, I know you miss them, it's okay if you want to open up about it," Aster replied.

"I'm fine," Frisk said, quietly.

"Are you sure," Aster asked.

"I SAID I'M FINE!"

Nothing was said. Absolute silence.

"Ok, if that's all you have to say," Aster replied, "I'll see you soon, Frisk."

After Aster left, Frisk sighed. Frisk often just wanted to be left alone. The only person she ever let into her life was…

"FRISK!"

Frisk looked as Chara ran towards her, daffodils in her hands.

"Sorry I'm late," Chara apologised, "Happy birthday!"

Frisk looked down at the flowers, a bit wilted, but still beautiful.

"I know you like them," Eve said.

"But, they can only be found on Mt. Ebott," Frisk said, only to see a scar on Eve's own sweater.

"You're hurt," Frisk stated.

"Oh, this," Chara said, "It's okay, I'm fine."

"Are you sure," Frisk asked.

"Yes… this is your special day, stop worrying about me," Chara said.

"Umm…" Frisk said.

"Come on," Chara said, "Make a wish."

Frisk looked down at the flower, and closed her eyes.

'I wish… I knew who I am…"

(End of PROLOGUE)

And with that, ends the prologue, yeah first chapter will come (and I promise it's coming before Christmas at least), but I honestly can't wait to show what I have for this…

Also yes, I got some inspiration from Underverse and Glitchtale, how could you tell.
