At the park, Kari who had just watched Himawari leave through a portal to the Digital world, was going home but paused as she saw some dogs barking, as they chased what looked like a white cat towards an alleyway.
"Hey! Leave that kitty alone!" Kari yelled out, as she ran after the dogs.
The dogs ignored her and as they approached the white cat, it jumped onto a fence and swung its tail at the lead dog, hitting him in the eye, making him cry out and run off.
The other dogs started growling at the cat at this, but the cat simply turned to them and hissed at the dogs, revealing itself as Gatomon, making them all run off with a yelp.
Gatomon chuckled at this, as she jumped down from the fence, but before she could move, she was picked up by Kari.
"You may be a pretty cat, but you have a sharp tongue. Heh, kinda like auntie Kushi" Kari said with a smile, as she patted Gatomon on the head.
Normally, Gatomon would lash out at anyone that so much as touched her, let alone pet her. But when Kari petted her, it just felt right to her. But after a few moments of this, she shook her head and jumped out of Kari's arms and ran off down the alleyway.
"Aww. Oh well, I guess you can take care of yourself. I need to get home anyway, before mom and dad do. So, take care Miss kitty" Kari said, before she walked out of the alleyway and made her way home.
Gatomon jumped onto the top of the fence and watched Kari run home with interest, before she ran off to go report to Myotismon.
(At The Rising Tide)
The group of Digidestined, both old and new, were all inside the restaurant which was still closed to everyone else.
The new Digidestined were all sitting at some of the tables along with their Digimon, who were all waiting to be served their food.
"So, how's things been for you guys?" Kushina asked their partners with a grin, as she came out from the kitchen along with Renamon, both of them carrying plates of food
"Well, most of us are in our In-Training forms after fighting our way back to your world, so how do you think we are doing?" Yaamon asked with a scowl.
Kushina glared at Yaamon at this, as she slammed a plate down in front of him and Naruto.
Yaamon, seeing Kushina's glare, screamed in terror and hid in Naruto's hoodie.
"Honey, please don't break the plates again," Minato said, trying to calm her down.
"Oh, relax. I barely did anything to him. What's got a bug up your partner's butt, brat?" Kushina asked Naruto, as she passed more plates to the others.
"No idea. He's usually not one to be a punk" Naruto said as he looked at the bulge in his clothes, where his partner was hiding.
"Oi! I don't know why she scares the heck outta me either!" Yaamon yelled, as he poked his head out of Naruto's hoodie.
"Well, maybe it's because you're a Virus Type. They usually are all wusses when small" Xiaomon said with a snicker.
Yaamon growled at this, but froze as Kushina looked at him again, causing him to scream and hide in Naruto's hoodie once again.
"Look, let's just eat so that once you get a meal in you, you all should go back to your Rookie forms" Mikoto said, as she held up her hands to calm them down.
"Yea. Plus, Miss Kushina's food is the best" Tai said with a grin, as he and Koromon looked at their plates, which both had double cheeseburgers on them.
"So, I'm gonna guess that most of you have reached Ultimate Level?" Minato asked, as everyone started to eat.
"Yup. The only ones who haven't reached it yet are Patamon and Gomamon" Tsunomon said, after swallowing some of his spaghetti.
"Oh?" Minato asked, as he looked at said Digimon and their partners.
"Uh, yea" Joe said, as he rubbed the back of his head nervously.
"What crests do you lot have?" Kushina asked curiously, as she looked at the group.
"Mmpph" Tai said, his mouth full of food, so obviously they couldn't understand him.
"Swallow first, then speak" Sora said with a scowl at him.
Tai quickly swallowed and chuckled sheepishly. "I've got Courage" he said, as he pointed at his crest, which was hanging from his neck.
"Oh? You got my crest then" Minato said with a smile at Tai.
"Which of you got Love?" Kushina asked curiously, as she looked at the group.
Everyone instantly pointed at Sora, who raised her hand at this.
"Heh, at least one of you Uzumaki's got my crest" Kushina said as she chuckled, while nodding at Sora.
"I got Miracles, Kaa-san" Himawari said with a smile at her mother.
"They have that now?" Minato asked curiously, as he raised an eyebrow at this.
"It must be a new crest, seeing as there's more members in the new team, then when we were part of this" Mikoto said, as she shook her head.
"There are more of us then there were of you back in the day?" Matt asked curiously.
"Not by much. There were eight of us back then" Minato said as he frowned.
"Really? Who else was there?" Mimi asked curiously.
This got silence from the three adults and their partners, who all frowned.
"It doesn't matter pinky, they aren't capable of helping now" Kushina said firmly, as she looked at Mimi, who quickly decided to stay silent.
"So, uh, who here got Kindness?" Mikito asked, changing the subject.
"That would be me," Naruto said with a grin.
"Huh, I didn't peg you for getting her crest, brat" Kushina said, raising an eyebrow at this.
"Oh trust us, it fits him auntie" Sora said with a chuckle, as she finished her pizza.
"Even if his partner is a little gremlin," Tanamon said with a flat tone, as she finished her fries, before she started to glow and in a flash of light, she digivolved to Palmon.
After this, the other In-Training Digimon started to Digivolve.
"What about you, chicken boy?" Himawari asked, as Labramon stretched her legs.
"Grrrrr" Yaamon was growling, before he started to glow after he swallowed his food. "Yaamon Digivolve to….Impmon" he said, before grinning.
Kushina, Minato and Mikoto's eyes widened at hearing this, but they said nothing, as they all looked at each other in surprise.
Kushina's eyes widened more than the other adults, before she looked at Renamon, who nodded at her, as if confirming an unasked question.
(Flashback starts)
A 12 year old Kushina sat huddled within a sphere of darkness, watching helplessly as 12 year old Minato and their friends fought against the Dark Masters.
MachineDramon roared, firing off a stream of green energy, but was swiftly tackled by Wargrowlmon. The crimson armored dragon Digimon then raised his arm, slashing the metal dark master across his face, while GigaDramon flew above, firing off missiles upon the dark master.
Piedmon laughed flying through the sky, as he struck down Hippogriffomon, knocking him to the ground. He then glanced over to see Taomon glaring at him, as she spun her brush forming a symbol, before unleashing it upon Piedmon, pushing him back.
Orochimon roared, entangled with MetalSeadramon, roaring as it unleashed a stream of blue energy upon one of its heads. He waved his tail, smacking aside a charging Triceramon.
Puppetmon spun his staff, as Rapidmon pushed him back with his Rapid Fire attack.
Beelzemon flew towards the sphere, punching hard against the barrier. Kushina looked up to see Beelzemon viciously pounding away at the sphere, causing her eyes to widen.
"I'm gonna get you outta there Kushina, if it's the last freakin' thing that I do!" Beelzemon shouted, pounding away with all his might.
MetalSeadramon roared, taking aim with his cannon, preparing to fire at Beelzemon.
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Rappidmon shouted, as the blast struck, breaking away chunks of his armor, but he pushed through it, slamming one of his blasters into the muzzle of his cannon.
"Take this, Rapid Fire!" Rapidmon roared, firing off his missile erupting in a massive explosion, blowing off the front of the water dark master's cannon.
"Atomic Blaster!" Wargrowlmon roared, unleashing twin beams striking both Puppetmon and Machinedramon, both of them not reacting, before they both pushed back the beams, causing the two Ultimate Digimon to slam into the ground
"Hurry Beelzemon!" Minato shouted, looking up at the demon lord of gluttony who nodded at this.
"Raaaah!" Beelzemon raised his fist, as the symbol of gluttony blazed upon his palm, causing its energy to flow into his fist.
He then reared his fist back, smashing it into the sphere, creating a crack into the sphere. Kushina looked up in shock, as Beelzemon stood in front of her with an outstretched hand.
"Kushina quick, give me your hand" Beelzemon said, but Kushina stood there with hesitation in her eyes. "Let's go Kushina, what are you waiting for!?" Kushina thought back to all the times they had faced off against Beelzemon, all the pain he had caused to so many Digimon.
"I'm trying to help you, please!" Beelzemon begged, Kushina bit her lip, her hands shaking.
"Kushina, take his hand!" Minato shouted desperately, causing Kushina's eyes to widen.
Kushina reached her hand out to Beelzemon, but before they could touch, a blade pierced through his chest. Both of their eyes widened at this, with Beelzemon's in shock and Kushina's in horror, as standing behind them was Piedmon with a menacing smirk on his face, as Beelzemon started to fade into data.
"NO!!!!!"
(Flashback over)
Kushina held her head, as she tried not to think about the past, as she fought back tears.
"Hey, are you ok Kaa san?" Himawari asked, taking note of her mother's silence and her father and adopted aunt's silence.
"Yea, I'll be ok sweetie" Kushina said as she composed herself and smiled at her daughter.
"Well, now that you're all fed and watered, let's go over what the situation is," Minato said to everyone.
"Well, to summarize, Myotismon and his minions have come to the human world to find the ninth Digidestined child, who he believes will be able to defeat him" Izzy said, explaining the situation in a calm manner.
"And thanks to us remembering what happened back in Heighten View Terrace years ago and thinking it through, we have a good idea who it is," Sora said as she looked at Tai.
Tai frowned at this, as he wasn't looking forward to this if it was true.
"Really? That's great news" Mikoto said, as she smiled.
"Indeed. This means you're ahead of the enemy" Renamon said, as she nodded.
"Yeah, so who is it?" Terriermon asked curiously.
"It's my bestie!" Himawari said with a bright smile.
"Oof, bad luck goggles. You're the leader and you now have to watch out for your sibling" Kushina said with a wince, as she patted Tai on the head.
"One of us. One of us," Naruto said with a monotone, as he looked at Tai with an emotionless look.
Matt snorted at this, as while he usually didn't laugh at Naruto's jokes, this was a pretty good one.
"Any ideas for who her Digimon is?" Mikoto asked Izzy, as she figured he was the one who was the smart one.
"No idea. Gennai didn't mention a way to find the ninth child's Digimon" Izzy said as he shook his head at this.
"Feh. Looks like the old man is still useless" Kushina said as she scoffed, as she took everyone's empty plates.
"Is there a way to find or track the Digimon of Kari's?" Tai asked curiously.
Minato nodded at this. "Well, if she already has her Digivice, then you can use it to find her Digimon" he said
"Well, here's hoping that her Digivice is at home, eh goggles?" Himawari said with a grin at Tai, who groaned at this.
"And since we're back the day we left, then Kari should still be at your place" Naruto said, remembering what had happened when they were home before.
Suddenly, they all heard some honking outside and when they looked out the window, they saw what looked like several taxis parked outside.
"Ok kids, your rides home are here" Mikoto said, as she waved at the taxis and went outside to go talk to them.
"You called rides for us, Miss Kushi?" TK asked curiously.
Kushina chuckled at this, before she patted TK on the head. "Yea, we wanted to make sure that you lot all get home safe" she said.
"Finally! I can't wait to get home and change out of these clothes. I have been in these for months" Mimi said with a smile, as she started to walk towards the door.
Kushina groaned at this, as she glared after Mimi. "Yea, you better keep walking, powder puff. Stay away from my baby boy" she grumbled under her breath, as she didn't like Mimi's attitude one bit.
Naruto, upon hearing this groaned, before he slammed his face onto the table, while Himawari burst out laughing at this.
"I can't wait to sleep in my own bed" Joe said, as everyone but Naruto and Himawari got up and started to go outside to the taxis.
"Be sure you look for Kari's Digivice, as soon as you get home" Minato said to Tai, as he left the restaurant last with Agumon.
"Yea, don't be a moron!" Kushina yelled after the young leader, who jumped and nodded at her, before he ran outside to the taxi.
As the taxis left, Mikoto and Terriermon waved at everyone in the restaurant, before they left for home too.
Kushina waved back at her friend, before she closed the door to the restaurant….and locked it.
Naruto froze at this, as his mother turned to look at him.
"So……what's with you and the powderpuff?" Kushina asked with a smile that was anything but kind, as she walked over towards her son, who started to sweat in a panic.
"Uh, nothing really Kaa san. She's just a friend" Naruto said with a nervous chuckle, as his mother gave him a look that could scare the devil himself.
Minato and Himawari watched this and sighed at this pathetic attempt at bluffing.
"He still can't bluff worth a damn, can he?" Minato asked curiously.
"Nope," Himawari said as she shook her head.
"Is Kushi gonna do him like she used to do bad guys in the old days?" Guilmon asked curiously as he tilted his head a bit.
"We will see Guilmon. What about you clown boy, you got something to tell me?" Kushina said to Guilmon, before she looked at Impmon, who instantly paled when their eyes met.
"He has a crush on her! He's a total sap for her!" Impmon yelled out in a panic.
"YOU SELLOUT!" Naruto yelled, as he grabbed Impmon by the neck and started to shake him.
"I knew it!" Kushina bellowed, as she stood up and slammed her hands on the table.
"Now Kushi -" Minato was saying, as he stepped forward to try and help.
"Save it! Some superficial cheerleader is not worthy of my baby boy!" Kushina yelled at her husband, cutting him off.
"Kaa-san, he's heading for the backdoor," Himawari said as she pointed at the back door, where indeed, Naruto and Impmon were sneaking their way towards the exit.
"Where are you going, brat?!" Kushina yelled as she glared at her son and his Digimon.
"Gaaaaah!" Impmon yelled, as he jumped onto Naruto's shoulders. "Run, damn it!" he yelled as he pointed out the backdoor.
Naruto quickly kicked open the backdoor and ran out of it.
"Get back here!" Kushina yelled out, as she ran after her son and his Digimon partner.
"Ah, it's like nothing has changed at all," Renamon said with a sigh. as she shook her head at her partner.
"I know, isn't it great?" Guilmon asked with a smile, as his tail wagged.
(Sometime later with Gatomon)
After that night with Gatomon, she along with the rest of Myotismon's minions were in his ungrounded base and bowing before a coffin, which soon opened, before Myotismon rose from it with his arms crossed over his chest.
"I hope that your rest was good, master" DemiDevimon said, as he groveled to the vampire Digimon.
"Enough of you simmering. Report, Gatomon" Myotismon said as he looked at the cat Digimon, after scoffing at the bowing Digimon.
"We have not been able to find the ninth child yet, my lord. I'm afraid that there have been some complications" Gatomon said as she raised her head.
"What kind of complications?" Myotismon asked with a frown, as he stepped out of his coffin.
Gatomon raised her paw, as what looked like a holographic image appeared of what looked like the Digidestined taking cover, as Mammothmon was attacking the city.
"The Digidestined were able to make it back to the human world? They must have exhausted themselves to make it back" Myotismon said, as he watched the image of the earlier battle before it began.
"Indeed master. But I'm afraid that before Mammothmon could take advantage of them being exhausted….." Gatomon was saying, before she trailed off.
"Yes, go on," Myotismon said.
Gatomon looked at the holographic image, which changed and showed images of Minato, Kushina and Mikoto along with their Digimon partners, who attacked Mammothmon and easily defeated him.
Myotismon's eyes narrowed at this, as he watched the images of the battle take place. "I see. Gatomon, send out new orders to our Digimon; if they see any of these three humans, they are to prioritize destroying them at any cost" he said with a firm tone.
"Why? Who are they, master?" DemiDevimon asked curiously.
"They are what remains of the last Digidestined team, you fool. While I never fought them myself, and they might not be as strong as they were back when they fought the Dark Master's, they may still be a problem if we aren't careful" Myotismon said.
"T-the Dark Master's?" DemiDevimon stuttered out in a panic, as the other Digimon in the room started to mumble among themselves, as they had all heard of them.
"Indeed. While they couldn't destroy the Dark Master's, they are not to be taken lightly. So only the best of you should attack them, if you see them. While the rest of you will stick to searching for the ninth child" Myotismon said to the assembled evil Digimon, who all bowed again.
(A few days later)
It had been a few days since everyone had made it home.
Currently, Naruto and Himawari were walking in the city, making their way towards Tai's place, with Labramon and Impmon close behind them
"You think Tai was able to tell Kari that she's the ninth Digidestined?" Himawari asked curiously.
"Probably not. Remember, he has to keep this secret from his parents, unlike us" Naruto said as he shook his head at this.
"I wish you would keep us a secret," Impmon said with a shudder, as he walked to keep up with Naruto.
"Kaa san isn't that bad," Naruto said, as he shook his head at his partner's attitude.
"Yea, she's been nothing but nice to you surprisingly" Himawari said, as she looked at Impmon with an inquisitive look, as last night while at home, she noticed that Kushina had been taking extra care to be nice to Impmon.
"Why is that surprising? She's been really nice to the both of us" Labramon asked with a tilt of her head.
"Impmon is a brat. Normally it's like clockwork for Kaa san to have to get physical with someone like him. Heck, she even brought him extra watermelon, for crying out loud" Himawari whispered to her partner.
"Not that bad?! Then why did you jump at the chance to leave home and take Himawari to Tai's?" Impmon asked, as he glared at Naruto.
"Cause I'm a goof of a big brother" Naruto said firmly as he walked.
"Pffft. Yeah, and Kaa San keeps grilling you about you and pinky" Himawari said with a scoff.
"There's nothing going on between me and Mimi!" Naruto yelled, as they walked upstairs to the floor where Tai's family apartment was.
"Yea, sure and the gremlin here is a saint" Himawari was saying, as she jerked her thumb at Impmon, as they walked towards the Kamiya's door.
"Oi! Watch who you insult, you little psycho!" Impmon yelled
"Okay you two, now remember, you're a kid wearing a costume and you're a rare dog breed" Naruto said, as he looked at Impmon and then at Labramon.
"Heh, you're my pet while I'm incognito. You want a milk bone?" Impmon asked with a smirk, as he looked at Labramon.
"Grrrrrrrr" Labramon growled at this, while Himawari knocked on the door.
CHOMP!
The door soon opened, revealing Kari on the other side, who blinked in surprise at seeing what looked like a puppy biting Impmon's leg, causing him to yell out in pain.
"Hey beastie! Did you miss me?" Himawari asked with a smile, as she greeted her best friend.
"It wasn't even a day to her, sis" Naruto said, as he shook his head at her.
"Oh yeah. Heh, I kinda forgot" Himawari said with a sheepish smile, as she rubbed the back of her head.
"Is that puppy attacking Impmon yours? Cause if not, I can just call the pound" Kari asked, curiously as she pointed at Labramon, who was still biting Impmon's leg.
"Call them! Call them!" Impmon yelled, as he tried to pry Labramons mouth open with his hands.
"Don't worry about her bestie, she's my partner Labramon. Spit that garbage out and meet Kari!" Himawari said to Kari, before she turned to look at her partner.
Labramon quickly dropped Impmon's leg and walked over to Himawari and Kari. "Hello! Himawari has told me a lot about you. I'm Labramon" she said, as she bowed her head like Himawari taught her.
Kari smiled at this, before she pet Labramon on the head a bit.
"Hey Kari, is anyone else home at the moment?" Naruto asked her curiously, as Impmon got to his feet.
"Just Tai is home at the moment. Mom and dad are out right now. Why?" Kari asked as she looked at Naruto.
"Perfect. Let's get inside then" Naruto said, as he led the way inside.
"Walk it off, ya wuss" Himawari said to Impmon, as she and Labramon followed Kari inside.
Impmon growled at this, as he followed after them, before closing the door behind him.
"So where is Tai?" Naruto asked, as he looked around the apartment at the living room and the attached kitchen.
"Our room. He's been looking for something in there since he got home" Kari said, as she shrugged at this.
"Ah ha! Miko, drop it!" Tai was heard yelling from behind the door to the bedroom Kari pointed at.
"I got him, Tai! Oof!" Agumon was heard yelling, before a crash was heard.
Naruto raised an eyebrow at this, before the ajar door opened and what looked like a cat ran out, and what surprised him was that a Digivice was in its mouth.
"Miko, what do you have? Come here, kitty" Kari said, as she picked up the cat.
As she did this, the Digivice in its mouth started to glow, as if reacting to Kari.
"Well, that pretty much confirms it," Naruto said, as he sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"Alright! You're one of us!" Himawari cheered, as she pumped her fist in the air, as Miko yowled and dropped the glowing Digivice, which Kari caught.
"I am?" Kari asked in surprise, as she looked at the Digivice in her hand.
"Yea, that's what I have been looking for since I got back. I was hoping that me not finding it until now was a sign that Sora was wrong, but Miko had it under the beds" Tai said, as he came out of his room.
"Good job Dino boy on catching the cat," Impmon said with a snicker at Agumon, as he came out of the bedroom, holding his nose from his fall.
"Hey Tai, how did you explain Agumon to your parents? Did you tell them he was a little kid in a costume?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I was able to get home before my parents and hide Agumon in my closet thankfully" Tai said with a sigh of relief.
"So what's the plan now?" Impmon asked curiously.
"Well, now we just need to find Kari's Digimon partner," Naruto said, as he sat down on the couch.
"Yea, that's gonna be a tall order" Himawari said as she sighed.
"That's true. Her partner could be in the Digital World" Tai said with a nod.
"Maybe we can ask Gennai for an idea on what to do," Labramon said, as she scratched her ear.
"Well, if we're gonna try that, then we should go visit Izzy" Tai said as he looked at Naruto, who nodded and got up off the couch.
"Great. Let's go Bestie, the old man will know what to do" Himawari said with a grin at Kari.
"Hold it sis, you and Kari are staying here" Naruto said as he looked at his sister.
"Huh?" Himawari asked curiously, as she tilted her head to the side.
"Until we find Kari's partner, we can't exactly have her hanging out with us in public, where she can be seen by Myotismon and his minions," Tai said, as he got what Naruto was thinking.
"Exactly. So she needs to stay here. And Himawari, you and Labramon can stay and keep Kari safe" Naruto said with a nod.
"Why not just give them a shotgun and make sure any Digimon that shows up has zero chance, while you're at it?" Impmon asked curiously.
"Oh, that's a good idea," Himawari said with a savage grin, making Tai and Agumon shudder a bit.
"Just keep an eye on Kari, while we are gone. And if something happens, call me on your phone" Naruto said, as he took out his phone.
"Alright alright, but stay safe bro" Himawari said as she looked at Naruto, who blinked at this before he looked at her.
"…..you going soft on me, sis?" Naruto asked with a chuckle.
"Feh, you wish" Himawari said with a scoff, as she looked to the side, before Naruto tousled her hair a bit, before he left with Tai while Agumon and Impmon followed them.
Kari and Labramon chuckled at this, before they went to go watch TV.
(Near Tokyo Tower)
Sora and Mimi were hanging out together in the shopping district near Tokyo Tower, while Biyomon and Palmon were wearing ponchos to hide themselves.
"I'm surprised that you asked me to hang out with you and not your other friends, who you haven't seen in a while, Mimi," Sora said, as they walked down the street.
"You mean those girls that were talking bad about Naruto, before you changed seats?" Palmon asked curiously.
Mimi said nothing to this, before she crushed the can of cola she was drinking and gained a look of annoyance.
Sora blinked at this, before she chuckled and smiled at Mimi. "Oh man, you have it bad for him, don't you?" she asked with a grin.
Mimi's face went bright red at this, before she looked around in a panic for any kind of distraction, before she paused as she saw people running from the Tokyo Tower while yelling in a panic, which was down the street. "Hey, what's going on?" she asked a woman running past her.
"Some guy in a trench coat is picking a fight with that giant rabbit with gun arms from the news!" the woman yelled before she ran off
"The gun rabbit sounds like Gargomon," Biyomon said as she looked up at Sora.
"But who's the guy in the trench coat fighting him?" Palmon asked curiously, as they all looked up at the top of Tokyo Tower, which seemed like a fight was happening, with the blue fire being thrown around and what looked like lazer fire being fired.
"Whoever it is, we should go back up Miss Mikoto" Mimi said firmly, as she looked at Palmon who nodded in agreement at this, before they both started running towards Tokyo Tower.
"We're right behind you Mimi" Sora said, as she and Biyomon followed after them.
(Earlier at the top of Tokyo Tower)
In the top of Tokyo Tower, it was filled with a few civilians who Mikoto was guiding to the emergency exits so they could leave the building, as nearby, a humanoid Digimon, with chains wrapped around his torso and blue flames, this was SkullMeramon
SkullMeramon thrusted his fist out, releasing a ball of blue fire, setting a nearby display on fire, causing it to explode from the impact.
"Hey, flame brain! What's the big idea?!" Terreirmon shouted from Mikoto's shoulder as she ran over to confront the Digimon now that she had got the civilians out
"Ha! So one of the elder Digidestined shows themselves good. Lord Myotismon has ordered all of you to be wiped out, and you just made my job easier!" SkullMeramon laughed, throwing his flaming punch at Mikoto, as the Uchiha mother flipped away, avoiding his attack while pulling out her Digivice.
"Terriermon!" Mikoto shouted out, as she took cover
"Let's kick ass!" Terriermon shouted, as green energy erupted from Mikoto's Digivice.
"Terriermon Warp Digivolve to..." Terriermon was engulfed in a green data sphere, as a golden light erupted in the center.
Gargomon's body became pure white energy, as it began to slim down while green beams of light shot in all directions forming armor on his hips, chest, shoulder, and arms, with a large missile launcher attached to his back. The Digimon's large blue eyes glowed, before a mouth covering formed from the head armor.
"Rapidmon!" Rapidmon stood hovering in the air
"Ha! So you just made yourself a bigger target!" SkullMeramon laughed, launching another punch only for it to phase through Rapidmon much to his shock, as the green armored Digimon moved around, forming after images of himself, surrounding him from all sides.
"Dodge this! Chain of Pain!" SkullMeramon whipped his chain across the air, striking at all the after images, causing them to fade away.
"Behind ya, metal head!" SkullMeramon turned his head, only to be hit point blank by Rapidmon's blasters, knocking him back.
"Ya feel lucky, do ya punk?!" Rapidmon laughed, as he fired without letting up.
"Chain of Pain!" SkullMeramon shouted, as Rapidmon braced himself for the attack. But it never came, as his eyes widened when he saw the true aim of his attack.
"Mikoto!" Rapidmon shouted, seeing his partner bound in the fire Digimon's chain he flew towards her. But was struck away by SkullMeramon's second chain, as he yanked Mikoto to him.
"You son of a….if you hurt her, I'll….!" Rapidmon growled out, only to be met with loud cries of pain, as SkullMeramon squeezed his chain around Mikoto's torso.
"You'll do nothing, unless you want me to squeeze the life out of this human," SkullMeramon warned, as he began applying more pressure to prove his point.
After a few moments, Rapidmon lowered his guns and his head.
"No...Rapidmon" Mikoto groaned in pain
"Good doggy, and now!" SkullMeramon reared his left hand and swung his chain, smacking Rapidmon across the face and then the chest, then as he laid out a flurry of chain assaults upon the Vaccine type. Mikoto turned away, unable to watch her partner's pain.
Rapidmon held up his arms, blocking the chain as best he could, but he couldn't fight off the burning that came from the flames that covered it. It was painful, but he would endure once he had an opening to save Mikoto.
"Hey, you big bully!" everyone's eyes turned as Togemon smashed through the window and tackled into SkullMeramon, forcing him to release his grip on Mikoto, allowing the cactuses Digimon to catch her in her gloves.
"Meteor Wing!" Birdramon screeched, unleashing her own brand of flames upon the Frankenstein Digimon.
"You little pest!" SkullMeramon pushed the flames away, to see both Togemon and Birdramon next to their partners. "I'll crush you all for this!"
"Hey..." A low growl caught SkullMeramon's attention; he slowly turned to see the cold blue eyes of Rapidmon, as he was kicked across the face, skidding along the ground.
"I consider myself a really chill guy, I can take a lot but one thing that makes me mad...NO ONE MESSES WITH MIKO!" Rapidmon roared, taking aim. "Rapid Fire!" he roared, firing off twin barrages of missiles, striking fast and hard, blowing away Metalmeramon's chains.
"Tri-Beam!" Rapidmon extended his arms and legs, as green energy surged from the hands to his feet forming green orbs but soon began to glow gold, forming an upside triangle. The Ultimate level Digimon fired off the triangle in a stream of energy, engulfing SkullMeramon causing him to scream out in pain, as his body was vaporized to data bits.
Rapidmon looked over to Mikoto, who gave him a strained smile, which he returned with an eye smile of his own, before he started to glow and shrunk down back to Terriermon.
"Are you ok, Miss Mikoto?" Sora asked, as she and Mimi jumped off Birdramon's back and walked into the room through the destroyed window.
"I'm fine, thanks to you two turning up, right Terriermon?" Mikoto asked, as Terriermon jumped onto her head.
"Yea, the rookies did good. Thanks for giving me an opening to kick his a -" Terriermon was saying with a grin, before he was cut off.
"Language Terriermon" Mikoto said as she cut off her partner.
"Momentai, Miko," Terriermon said with a smile, as he flapped his ears slightly.
"What were you doing here, Miss Mikoto?" Mimi asked, as Togemon and Birdramon shrunk back down to their Rookie forms.
"Oh, I was meeting my son for a family outing here, before that thug showed up and when he spotted me, he threw off his coat and started making a scene" Mikoto said with a frown, as she looked around at the destroyed tourist area.
"That jerk said something about his boss wanting Miko out of the way," Terriermon said with a scowl.
Sora and Mimi looked at each other at this and frowned.
"Myotismon must want the left over Digidestined from the last team out of the way and gave his minions orders to take you out if they spot you" Sora said as she crossed her arms at this.
"So Myotismon's minions are gonna go after Mister and Miss Uzumaki?" Mimi asked as she frowned in worry
"Pffft!" Terriermon said snorting at this, as he covered his mouth with one of his ears.
"What?" Mimi asked with a cocked eyebrow, while Sora slightly chuckled, as she had an idea what Terriermon was thinking.
(At the Rising Tide)
It was a regular day at the Rising Tide and people were outside the restaurant, walking by like normal.
Before the front door exploded, causing people to run away in a panic, and what looked like a bunch of Bakemon flew out of the restaurant in a panic, as what looked like a Diamond Storm was fired at them, before what looked like Renamon and Kushina ran out of the restaurant after them.
"Where are you going?! I thought your boss wanted us gone?!?!?!" Kushina yelled after the Bakemon as she swung a wooden bokken at them.
"Yea, fight like a Digimon!" Renamon yelled, as she chased after the Digimon and used Power Paw to slug one in the back of the head as he flew away in a panic
(Back with Sora and Mimi)
"Trust me, Kushina is fine. Now let's get out of here" Mikoto said with a chuckle, as she led the two younger Digidestined and their Digimon towards the stairs that would lead them downstairs.
Soon enough, they were all outside and as they walked outside, they saw what looked like police cars approaching.
"And that's our cue to bail" Terriermon said, as he knew this wasn't good.
"Hold on Terriermon, we need to find -" Mikoto was saying, before she was cut off.
"Kaa-san!" a male voice yelled, getting their attention.
Mikoto smiled as she turned and ran towards a young boy with dark blue hair, with the back end being spiky.
as she ran to the boy Terriermon sighed as he jumped into Mikotos purse to hide
"Right, she's Sasuke's mom" Sora grumbled under her breath, as she recognized the young man as a boy in the same grade as her, Mimi, Naruto, Tai, Matt and Izzy.
"Really? But she's so nice and he's so…..gloomy" Mimi whispered as she looked at Sasuke, as she recognized him from school.
"Everything is fine now, Sasuke. Nobody was hurt" Mikoto said with a smile at her son.
"People were saying it was another monster attack, and you were in there longer than the others," Sasuke said, as he looked at his mother.
This made Mikoto pause, as she knew she probably shouldn't tell her son about the whole Digimon thing just yet.
"Oh, that's our fault. We were left behind and she wanted to get us out" Sora said, as she stepped forward while pulling Mimi along with her.
Sasuke looked at Sora and Mimi at this, before he glared at them. "Feh, just like your cousin causing trouble, only here you almost got my mom hurt by whatever freak was causing trouble" he said firmly.
"Hey, that's not necessary" Mimi said, as she gave Sasuke an annoyed look at this.
"Stay out of this, Tachikawa" Sasuke said as he didn't spare Mimi a glance, as he continued to glare at Sora.
"Sasuke, that's enough. I'm fine now, so let's go home" Mikoto said with a firm tone of voice, as she grabbed Sasuke's hand
Sasuke said nothing to this as he glared at Sora and Mimi, before he turned and walked away with his mother.
"Jeez, what a jerk," Mimi said, as she slightly frowned at this.
"What's his problem, Sora?" Biyomon asked curiously, as she adjusted the hood on her poncho slightly.
Sora sighed at this, as she shook her head. "Sasuke is complicated. He lost his dad in an accident a few years ago and he hates people who don't follow the rules" she explained.
Mimi frowned at this, as she watched Mikoto and Sasuke walk away.
"Mimi, we should go. The fuzz are here" Palmon said, as she tugged on Mimi's dress a little to get her attention.
"Where did you learn that?" Mimi asked with a raised eyebrow, as they all ran from the area.
"Impmon" Palmon said with a shrug, not seeing a problem.
"Oh really?" Sora asked with a knowing grin at this, while Biyomon smiled, knowing what she was thinking.
"What?" Palmon asked, getting giggles from the two humans and her fellow Digimon.
(Back at the Kamiya's apartment)
Back at the Kamiya's apartment, Kari was in the living area sitting on the sofa, and sitting on a rooftop across from the apartment watching Kari was Gatomon.
"Why do I feel like I should be watching you? You're just a human" Gatomon thought, as she watched Kari from afar, while she racked her brain for answers.
P.O.M and Kfbanime87 were sitting at their desks, when, like Diarrhea returning….
Oh come on, that's just gross! Deadpool yelled, as he entered the office, while wearing a shirt with a star on it
…..I'm gonna assume this is because of the Scott Pilgrim anime? Kfbanime87 asked, as he gestured to Deadpool's outfit.
