On Today's Episode: The spies return to the beach house to see if they can help convince Nick and Mat's future selves to stay and not leave everything behind. But even if they can get them motivated, what exactly is Kandinsky and Kyle's endgame? What dastardly tricks do they still have up their sleeves? And can the spies of both past and future band together to stop a catastrophe from happening?

Act 2: Running Out the Clock

8:45 P.M. – The Spies' Beach House (Future)

To the spies' relief, nothing seemed to be out of place when they reached the beach house, but the tension in the air was so thick you could cut it with practically anything.

"How's everything going?" Nick tentatively asked.

"I'm scared, honestly," Future Sam admitted. "I feel like I'm running out of options."

"Yeesh, this is pretty bad," Clover answered. "Is there anything we can do?"

Nick glanced towards the living room where both Future Nick and Future Mat were sitting, and they both looked pretty upset. Anya, who was already over a year old by now, was staring at her father, very confused about why he was so upset.

"At this point, I don't know," Future Melissa responded. "I just hope you'll have better luck than we did."

"Honestly, I don't even see why you'd bother at this point," Future Mat sighed, catching everyone's attention. "Nobody seems to have our backs, you all being the exception."

"Come on, future me, you can't let it end like this!" Mat exclaimed. "You know what these two are like, and you've weathered their games before!"

"Yeah, we've dealt with this kind of gossip before and we managed to stay together!" May proclaimed. "All you're doing by resigning yourself is letting them win!"

"I can't..." Future Nick sighed. "I thought I could handle this, but..."

Future Nick looked sullenly down at the floor. "...I give up."

The spies all glanced at each other, realizing that things were getting dangerous, especially when they saw Future Mat standing up and walking towards the beach house door, despite Future Sam's protests.

Just then, Henya noticed Nick's clenched fist shaking.

"...wait, Nick, what are you...?" Henya asked.

"All right, that's it," Nick growled, marching straight forward just as Future Nick picked himself up from the couch.

Much to the surprise and shock of everyone, Nick reached out and slapped his future self across the face, causing him to reel back slightly.

"Wh-what was..." Future Nick gasped.

"I'm just going to come right out and say it," Nick responded, his fury visible on his face. "What in the hell is wrong with you?!"

"H-Hey, you're the one who hit me!" Future Nick shot back.

"I don't wanna hear your bullshit excuses!" Nick shouted. "Now you listen to me and listen good. You are better than this, and I know that for a fact, considering you're supposed to be me. We've dealt with scumbags like Kyle before, alongside the times that so many other villains have tried to break us apart! And you wanna know how those attempts went? In the end, they all failed. They couldn't break what we have because we're stronger than that."

Despite his future self's confusion, Nick never wavered. "And you're seriously going to tell me that just because of one incident that's clearly the work of two patented psychopaths who obviously hate us, you're just going to give up and not even bother to fight back?!" Nick exclaimed. "Are you out of your freakin' mind?!"

Future Mat couldn't help but stare in shock, having stopped in the doorway.

"I don't know what the hell changed in you since the last time my friends and I came here," Nick growled. "But you've got some nerve if you're really thinking about just abandoning what you've got when you know you've been through worse. How about this? Instead of collapsing in on yourself and wallowing in your own misery, why don't you take a step back and look at what you've still got?! And yes, I'm talking to you, too, Mat!"

Nick gestured to both Future Alex and Future Sam as he continued. "Both of you, both of you, have a wonderful wife, two amazing girlfriends, and so many other awesome friends who would stand by your side through hell, high water, and whatever else this world wants to throw at us, which is a freakin' lot, and that alone is saying something. You're really going to stand there and tell me right to your past self's face that not even that is enough to convince you to fight back against these clearly false accusations?! You'd rather just throw in the towel and not even bother?!"

The rest of the spies said nothing, knowing that Nick needed to get this out of his system.

"You're clearly not acting like yourself, and once again, I'm you, so I would know," Nick stated matter-of-factly. "And remember, you and I are both psychics, so you should know that I'm not lying to you. Now, what are you gonna do? Are you going to just sit there and curl in on yourself like the coward you're being, or are you going to get up and fight back like the badass I know you are?!"

Future Nick glanced over at Future Alex, then down towards the couch where Anya was staring intently at him, then back at the rest of the spies. He looked down for a few seconds, contemplating everything Nick had just said...

...and then he looked back up, a very familiar determination finally highlighting his face.

("Blow" by Kesha plays)

"...you know something?" Future Nick proclaimed. "You're right. What the hell was I thinking?! Seriously, I have no idea what got into me, but..."

Future Nick walked up to Future Alex and hugged her tightly. "I guess I just needed an outside perspective of sorts," Future Nick chuckled. "I wasn't expecting that perspective to be my past self giving me the biggest dressing down of my life, but... I think I needed that kick in the pants."

"Hey, count me in on that, too," Future Mat proclaimed as he leaned over and kissed his wife on the cheek. "I guess it really does go to show that you can get help from the most unexpected of places sometimes."

"So... you're going to stay, then?" Future Sam asked.

"Hell yes I'm staying," Future Mat responded, much to Future Sam's delight. "I'd be crazy to give up what I've got. And I never thought the convincing argument would be Nick's past self tearing him a new hole, but..."

That got everyone in the beach house laughing.

"Sorry I got kinda harsh back there, honestly," Nick admitted. "I didn't think I'd have to go that far, but..."

"Hey, I clearly needed that," Future Nick replied. "Now, if I remember correctly, we have some nutballs who need a swift kick back to the past, right?"

"Hell yeah," Nick proclaimed. "Everyone ready to go?"

"Oh, you know it!" Haruka exclaimed, everyone else raising their hands in agreement.

"Kana, I hope you don't mind staying here and watching over Molly and Anya while we're taking care of business?" Future Alex asked.

"It's no problem, Alex," Kana replied as she moved to pick up Anya so she could head upstairs, where Molly was sleeping.

"All right, then, everybody, if we're done waffling, let's move out!" May proclaimed as the spies all shuffled out of the beach house, with Future Nick and Future Mat leading the charge.

("Cry Me A River" by Justin Timberlake plays)

"Were they under Kandinsky's influence beforehand?" Bridget asked.

Future Sam and Future Alex both nodded at that.

"We remembered what Clover did before and snapped our fingers," Future Alex quipped.

"And I'm sorry for the long face," Future Mat added. "But I just didn't know where to start after everything happened..."

"Well, to be fair, things like that CAN hit you like a ton of bricks, after all," Nick pointed out.

"I guess everyone's been there more than once," Mat commented.

"But if it were something like a secret affair with someone, then... yeah, that would have a bit more merit," Nozomi remarked.

"Identity theft is just as bad, too," Haruka added.

Everybody took to the sky to find out where Kandinsky and Kyle Katz were slinking around.

"Hey, everyone, I've got something!" Future RiCO stated. "I've got a lock on those two scoundrels somewhere in Central Park."

"Of course it'd be there," Future Nick quipped.

"Then that's where we better get to!" Future Nick exclaimed.

"Rules for Villains, number one hundred and twelve: don't be in the same place if your foes know where it is," Future May quipped.

"Glad to see those haven't changed in the future," May chuckled.

"...there are rules for villains?" Henya wondered.

"Later," Haruka conceded.

9:07 P.M. – Future Beverly Hills

Central Park

"All right, you two spodes..." Future Mat boldly stated. "Where in the world are ya?!"

"Maybe I can shoot 'em out," Nick replied as he used his psychic radar.

But instead of Nick sniffing out Kyle Katz at least, Katz executed an attack on Nick, slipping closer via a cloud of magic that would hopefully keep him unseen.

What Kyle failed to realize, though, was that even if Nick couldn't see him, he could still sense his thoughts, and snapped his hand down to telekinetically drive Kyle to the ground.

"Nice try, buddy," Nick taunted. "Need I remind you of rules for villains number ninety-one?"

However, a large metal cage suddenly fell down on the spies, trapping them inside.

"...me and my big mouth," Nick groaned.

"That oughta keep you lot busy while I make my next heist easy with Kandinsky's help!" Kyle sneered.

Future Nick was quick to react by firing a psychic shot at the back of Kyle's knee when he wasn't looking.

"You aren't going ANYWHERE!" Future Sam growled, using her Electromagnetic Curling Iron to melt the metal trap they were all in.

Simultaneously, Katz looked up to see Future Sam and Future Alex very upset at him.

"You think you can slander our hubbies the way you did and make us believe Nick and Mat were truly responsible?!" Future Alex added.

They were met by an unexpected illusion from Kandinsky, that being a large, scaly dragon.

"I guess the rats decided to come out of the sewers themselves," Britney remarked.

"Believe us when we say that was the worst mistake you could've made!" Melissa exclaimed.

"Time to give these two their just desserts!" Future Clover added.

"And besides, we've beaten illusions of dragons before," Nick taunted. "Just ask Snit for reference."

Nick raised his hand towards Kandinsky's illusion, as did Future Nick and Klee.

"You honestly think your magical fake's gonna fare any better?!" Nick taunted as all three of them fired a Final Shine Attack at the same time, the three blasts spiraling around each other before combining into a silver corkscrew of energy that thundered through the air and effortlessly blasted Kandinsky backwards, dispelling the illusory dragon upon landing on the ground.

"Accursed spies, always heckling my performances," Kandinsky groaned, only to look up in confusion as something fell into his hands.

Kandinsky only had a split-second to realize that it was a Baron Bunny plush as it exploded in his hands, the blast sending him reeling.

"Ah, that never gets old," Amber giggled as she, Mona and Sucrose arrived on the scene.

"You're both cornered, sickos," Mona taunted, aiming her Ultra High Pressure Water Cannon towards the two villains.

"Just give it up, for your own good if nothing else," Sucrose proclaimed, brandishing a Cyclone Blast Hairdryer.

"You really think we're going to listen to the lot of you?" Kyle cackled, only for Future Sam and Future Mat to jump to either side of Kyle, duck under his attempt to punch them, and clock him from both sides with an elbow strike, dazing him instantly.

Future Sam and Future Mat then started attacking, landing four synchronized punches to Kyle before sending him flying into the air with dual upward kicks.

For the finale, Future Sam and Future Mat jumped into the air after Kyle, doing a stylish flip before slamming their feet into Kyle's chest, sending him crashing back to the ground.

"Ah, I still never get tired of that," Future Sam chuckled.

"Keep your eye on the birdie, spies," Kandinsky laughed, surrounding Future Sam and Future Mat with ten illusory clones that all fired blasts of magic at the same time.

Henya responded by raising her Wondercube and activating it to absorb all of the blasts into the cube.

"W-Wait, how in the hell did you do that?!" Kandinsky gasped, having clearly never seen Henya before.

"Hey, I've got some tricks of my own," Henya retorted, thrusting her Wondercube forward and sending all of the magic blasts that the cube had absorbed right back at Kandinsky, causing a massive flash of light on impact that sent Kandinsky crashing into Kyle.

"This isn't working, magic man," Kyle groaned. "Any ideas?"

"Let's get back to the place," Kandinsky quipped. "We can really step it up down there."

That being said, Kandinsky fired a blast of magic into the ground to obscure the villains' escape.

"Okay, that doesn't sound good," Future Clover noted. "We're gonna need to go after them real quick-like."

"Okay, here's how I think we should handle this," Nick stated, motioning for the present spies to get closer. "We're gonna go after the baddies."

Nick then pointed to Future Sam, Future Alex, Future Nick, Future Mat, and Klee in turn. "The five of you are gonna come with us," Nick stated. "And the rest of you should head back to the beach house and keep Kana and the kids safe. I don't trust Kyle's mooks to play fair while we're dealing with that."

"Yeah, that's actually a good idea," Future Britney admitted.

"And the three of us are gonna patrol the city and make sure nobody else is causing trouble," Mona quipped as she, Amber and Sucrose headed back into the downtown area.

As most of the future spies split off to return to the beach house, Nick flipped his X-Powder open to contact Future RiCO. "Speaking of such, any sign of our resident ne'er-do-wells, RiCO?" Nick asked.

"I've got a lock on them skulking around somewhere in the residential district," Future RiCO answered.

"Them let's get moving," Sam proclaimed as the present spies all set out, with Future Sam, Future Alex, Future Nick, Future Sam, and Klee following closely behind.

9:56 P.M. – Kandinsky and Kyle's Secret Lair

"Okay, this is not what I expected," Klee admitted when they made it to the secret lair of Kandinsky and Kyle, which resembled a futuristic factory. "Knowing Kandinsky, I figured it'd be like a magic stage show."

"Maybe he thought that would have been too easy," Alex quipped.

"Ooh, just wait until I get my hands on those jerks," Future Sam growled. "I'm gonna wring their necks for what they tried to do to us."

"You might have to get in line, darling," Future Mat chuckled. "Because I think everyone here wants a piece of them."

"Damn right," Future Nick stated.

"Well, we're not gonna find 'em by standing around here, are we?" May quipped. "Let's start exploring this place and see if we can figure out what their big secret plan is."

With that, the spies all huddled together in a tight group to avoid ambushes as they set out into the lair to explore it and look for clues as to what Kandinsky and Kyle were planning.

"Okay, guys, stay alert," Sam stated in her leader tone.

"And you two wanted to wail on those two thugs for what they did, too..." Bridget told Future Sam and Future Alex.

"Yes, we did," Future Alex quipped.

She and Future Sam looked like they had some good news in the backs of their minds, but they knew the news could wait.

"Don't let your guards down on someone like Kandinsky," Nick added. "He probably disguised this with illusions to try throw us off."

It turned out Nick was right on the money there, as multiple illusions began to surround the spies, most of them being of the spies' rogues' gallery.

"Okay, that's not original in the slightest," Nozomi quipped.

"TURN BACK NOW!" One of the illusions ordered.

"And let you tarnish our men's images?! I think not!" Future Alex proclaimed.

Klee wouldn't have any of it and fired a psychic shot at the illusion, causing it to pop like a balloon.

"Easy as one, two, three," Klee quipped.

The spy team moved forward to find Kandinsky and Kyle Katz.

"I sincerely hope that they're not trying to spring some kind of diabolical trap on us or something," Bridget stated. "I'm kinda not in the mood to be dealing with crap like that right now."

"Well, lucky us that we've got three master psychics to keep an eye out for us, right?" May chuckled.

"Very true, May," Nick chuckled as he, Future Nick and Klee all used their psychic radars to sweep the area and make sure nothing was trying to ambush them.

10:29 P.M. – The Spies' Beach House (Future)

"Glad that Nick was able to get them to see the big picture," Future Haruka told the other future spies.

They were all cleaning up and watching some TV after some light late-night snacks.

Molly had already been put to bed a long time ago with the help of Future Melissa and Future Britney.

"I'll say," Future May quipped.

"You think they already told them the news that Sam and Alex are already thinking of baby number three yet?" Future Nozomi wondered.

"Maybe they're saving it for after the mission," Future Blaine deduced.

"At least they said they're waiting until after Molly and Anya grow up," Future Britney stated.

"Well, kids are fun to have, but you don't wanna overdo it," Future Dawn laughed.

"Totally," Future Clover replied.

She also tended to her baby girl as well.

"I guess we can all use this downtime for our own right," Future Bridget stated.

"Speaking of which..." Kana replied. "Hopefully Amber, Mona, and Sucrose are coming along with their search."

She then elected to contact them.

"Can you read me, Sucrose?" Kana asked. "How are things going downtown?"

"So far, so good, it seems," Sucrose answered. "We haven't seen hide nor hair of their henchmen during our sweep of the city."

"That probably means they funneled all their mooks into their secret lair so they can deal with the rest of the spies," Mona quipped. "That's what I'd do."

"Regardless, we're going to keep sweeping the city until the others take our resident baddies down, just to make sure that they can't try anything more scummy than they already have," Amber responded.

"We'll keep in touch in case we discover any kind of trouble," Sucrose stated before the transmission cut out.

"I'm just hoping the others are doing okay over there," Future Nozomi quipped. "Given we here in the future haven't had to deal with Kandinsky for a long time, I'm worried what he's gonna try and pull over their heads."

"Hey, I don't think we really need to worry," Future Melissa responded. "Now that everything's been settled, I'm pretty sure that butts are about to be kicked."

"Especially considering that Henya girl that came with them," Future Blaine noted. "I'm surprised we haven't heard about her, considering she's from the past."

"Yeah, that's the weird thing, too," Future RiCO proclaimed from Future Britney's X-Powder. "I tried to search for any records of Henya in our database, but... there's just nothing. No records, no video entries, absolutely nada."

"That's pretty strange," Kana quipped. "I wonder what she's been through?"

"Well, considering how our past selves tend to pick up a few strays every now and then, I'm sure Henya's on the up-and-up," Future Clover stated. "Maybe she just wanted to make sure nobody unsavory could find her, since she did tell us that she escaped from somewhere."

Kana glanced out the nearby window towards the star-filled skies of Beverly Hills, hoping that her parents were doing okay.

10:39 P.M. – Kandinsky and Kyle's Secret Lair

"Okay, this starting to get old," Melissa groaned as the spies dealt with yet another illusion. "I really wish they'd come out and fight us instead of being cowards!"

"Well, I can spare a few moments to play with all of you," Kyle chuckled as he stepped into view.

"Where's magic man?" Nozomi quipped.

"Oh, he's busy working on something to put you people in your place, that's all," Kyle answered. "So I figured I'd spare some time for all of you lovely ladies."

"Get bent, creep-a-tronic," May responded, activating her Emergency Gadget Transporter to summon her anchor to her hands. "We've already seen what you're made of, and we're not impressed."

"If anything, we've got some bones to pick for what you tried to do," Future Sam proclaimed as she took a step forward.

"If I'm being honest, you lovelies need to ditch the punks and get with a real man," Kyle chuckled. "After all, look at how they folded when we started making accusations. Honestly, people will believe anything these days. It's really quite pathetic."

"This is the only warning you're getting, Kyle," Sam growled. "You don't want to know what we're going to do to you if you don't zip your mouth shut right now."

"Hey, you can't deny that I'm right," Kyle retorted. "After all, I seem to remember a time when the main three of your group couldn't really keep their eyes off of me."

"That was a long time ago, you sleaze," Alex snapped back. "We're finally wise to your nonsense."

"Oh, I wouldn't go that far," Kyle quipped as he stepped closer to the spies. "You ladies really don't deserve them, anyway. They're nothing but punks, am I right? Tell me I'm right."

The response to that was fast and furious, with Future Sam and Future Alex lunging forward to slug Kyle in the stomach with their fists, followed by Future Mat barging into Kyle with a shoulder tackle, then Future Nick psychically flinging Kyle into the air, and finishing with Klee flying into the air to blast Kyle with a Final Shine Attack that sent him crashing back into the ground.

"...wow, they beat us to the punch on that one," Alex chuckled.

"Yeah, if they hadn't done it, I definitely would have," Nick quipped. "This nutball really does not know when to shut his yap."

Kyle quickly picked himself up and attempted to retreat, but Henya waved her Wondercube and projected a wall of light from it that blocked Kyle's escape route.

"You're not going anywhere, buddy," Henya proclaimed. "I really oughta teach you a lesson about messing with the course of true love."

"And what, exactly, can you do about it, cube girl?" Kyle taunted.

"Did you not see all the other things I've done with my Wondercube?" Henya retorted. "You know how this is gonna go down if you don't back off right now. Oh, wait, you can't, because I trapped you."

"Bring it on, you rummage sale reject!" Kyle cackled as he charged to attack Henya, only for her to juke to the right to avoid the attack, and then kick Kyle directly in the back to send him tumbling towards the rest of the spies.

Kyle spun around just in time and lunged towards Henya, but she backflipped over him and swung her Wondercube to send a barrage of glowing cubes straight downward that drove Kyle into the ground.

"You wanna keep running your mouth now?" Henya laughed, gesturing to the spies. "All right, everyone, mister sleaze is all yours."

"Don't mind if we do, Henya," Nick responded as the rest of the spies advanced on Kyle.

"You've got a ton of nerve going this route to ruin our marriages!" Future Sam growled.

"And none of your BS good looks will get you out of THIS!" Future Alex added.

The two of them began wailing on Kyle Katz.

("Last Strike" by Lyn Inaizumi plays)

After Future Mat got in the fray, Nick and Future Nick looked in a different direction, sensing Kandinsky's thoughts nearby.

"You thinking what I'm thinking, future me?" Nick asked.

"If it's that this could be a decoy, then yeah," Future Nick answered.

"Exactly," Nick replied.

Melissa and Dawn saw the two Nicks going off while Sam and Alex joined their future selves in beating down Kyle Katz.

Nick glanced down the nearby hallway, knowing that Kandinsky really couldn't do much to ambush him at the moment, given he was dealing with two psychics.

Sure enough, Nick raised his hand to tell Future Nick to stop as they rounded a nearby corner.

"Just as I thought," Nick stated after firing a psychic shot and getting Kandinsky out from where he was hiding.

"Consider this only the beginning of what we have in mind for you..." Future Nick emphasized as Nick got the word to the others.

Kandinsky was on the rebound with two other illusions when Haruka and Bridget came to their aides.

"Your goose is cooked in more than one way, buddy!" Bridget exclaimed, reaching for her brooch. "Sonic Mode, online!"

As the illusions closed in, Haruka jumped into the air as Bridget rushed by, Bridget reaching out to grab Haruka's hands and allow the track star to spin her friend around rapidly, dispelling each illusion as it tried to attack them, until Bridget eventually tossed Haruka towards Kandinsky so she could pounce on him and drive him to the ground.

"Score!" Bridget laughed.

"Don't mess with some of the best!" Bridget exclaimed.

"Oh, but we are far from done ourselves..." Kandinsky sneered.

The spies then heard rumbling.

"What's going on?!" Nozomi chastised.

Britney and May each fell to the floor from the rumbling.

"We led you into our big trap!" Kyle exclaimed.

Kandinsky had another illusion up his sleeve, and it was a bunch of live chains coming to the spy team.

"Not so fast!" Clover exclaimed as she used her Laser Lipstick on some of them.

Sam and Alex joined in to give Clover some help.

"That did it!" Alex proclaimed.

"That's not the only one..." Kandinsky sneered.

Some more illusions came out of nowhere.

"Those oughta keep you busy while we go and claim victory," Kyle taunted.

"Maybe we could use a little magic on you..." Mat quipped.

He went for a bit of a different approach after Kandinsky and Katz turned their backs. He fired a couple of shots at Kandinsky's elbows, and even his cape in an attempt to try and start a fire of sorts; fortunately (for Kandinsky anyway), Mat didn't do that, but he felt the hits indeed.

"You're seriously trying to outdo me in magic, boy?!" Kandinsky taunted, aiming his magic wand towards Mat, only for Future Mat to leap in and kick him in the back, causing him to stumble right into Future Nick's path.

"Do I even need to say the line?" Future Nick chuckled as he blasted Kandinsky into a fleeing Kyle with a Final Shine Attack.

May slipped in while the two villains were trying to pick themselves up and swung her anchor hard enough to send them both flying backwards again.

Kandinsky quickly cast a spell on both himself and Kyle to enhance their body constitutions, knowing this was probably about to get ugly.

"Oh, you shouldn't have done that, buddy," Klee chuckled.

"Oh, and why is that, little girl?" Kyle laughed.

"First off, I'm eighteen, thank you very much," Klee quipped, raising her glowing right hand. "And second, since you buffed your bodies up with that spell... that means I don't have to hold back."

Klee waved her hand around to draw a circle of aqua-blue light in front of her, her hand trailing that same aqua-blue light as she did so, then followed this up by drawing a star shape inside of the circle. The circle of light began to shine brighter and start spinning in place as Klee drew her glowing hands back.

"If you have any regrets, voice 'em now!" Klee shouted. "Meteor Starfall!"

Klee thrust her glowing hands through the circle of light, and this caused it to unleash a rapid-fire barrage of star-shaped psychic bolts that battered at both villains until Klee finished off by firing a larger shot through the circle that collided with the villains and exploded into an outward flash of aqua-blue light, which sent both Kandinsky and Kyle flying into a nearby wall hard enough to cancel out the buffing spell.

"Nice shot as always, Klee!" Future Nick proclaimed.

"Thanks, papa," Klee giggled. "I haven't used Meteor Starfall in a while, so I figured I'd show off the upgraded version."

"All right, you two, what exactly do you have to say for yourselves?" Nick taunted as the spies all closed in.

"I'd say that we're still not done with you yet," Kyle retorted.

"But, regrettably, we must leave for the moment," Kandinsky answered. "After all, we do need some preparation time for the big finale."

With that said, Kandinsky fired a blast of magic into the ground to obscure their escape.

"I'm getting really sick of them doing that," Nozomi groaned.

"Villains still like to do stuff like that, even twenty-one years into the future," Future Alex chuckled.

"Ah, the rules for villains are indeed eternal," Haruka laughed, only for a loud but muffled roar to resound, so forceful that it actually shook the lair slightly. Then, the spies could just barely hear the loud and panicked screams of the citizens of Future Beverly Hills. After all, this secret lair was right around the residential district.

"...dare I ask what that was?" Britney wondered.

Nick used his own psychic radar to get a read on what was happening.

"There's a lot of panic going on up there," Nick stated. "Whatever's going on, it sounds like magic man and fake smile brought out their trump card."

"And that means we should probably get back topside and deal with this before things get any worse!" Future Nick proclaimed. "I've officially had all I can stand of those bastards."

"Tell me about it," Alex quipped.

"I'll provide the transportation," Henya stated, using her Wondercube to open a hyperdimensional pocket that led back out into the city, knowing they didn't have a moment to lose.

With that, the spies all jumped through the pocket, with Future Mat putting in a call to Kana and the rest of the future spies to stay put for the moment so they could deal with whatever madness Kandinsky and Kyle had just unleashed.

To be concluded...

-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-

Next time...

Mat: Okay, so, what is everyone running from, exactly?

Melissa: I'm... willing to bet it has something to do with that.

Alex: Holy fish sticks, what the heck did Kandinsky turn himself into this time?!

Klee: Whatever it is, we need to take it down quickly!

Kandinsky: How does it feel, you little punks, to know that this is the end of the line for every last one of you?!

Future Nick: Um, isn't that supposed to be our line to you, magic man?

May: Yeah, in case you didn't get the memo, we've beaten way worse that this! So how about you just steel your stupid little magician's cape and let's get it on!

Henya: Couldn't have said it better myself.

Klee: Well, readers, the curtain's about to fall on the big finale, so don't miss the show and all its glory, next time on the final act of Totally Spies: Time to Come Home, "Destiny Defeated"!

Kana: Gotta hand it to all of the extras, they're definitely hamming it up during the big "escape".

Nick: That just proves they can act. Gotta make it look convincing for the viewers, right?
