Chapter 24 Royal Argument

Kida headed into the palace and went to see her father Kashekim. The king had been alerted about Kida's return and what she had brought by his guards. Kashekim had a grave look on his face as Kida approached him.
"Hello father. I have returned and I have brought Gungnir with me." Said Kida.
"How is that possible? That weapon was lost long ago far away from here." Said Kashekim.
"I was resourceful and I had help to get the spear." Said Kida.
"What do you intend to do with it?" Asked Kashekim.
"I intend to use Gungnir's power to help return us and our people to the surface and join the rest of the world." Said Kida.
"You will do no such thing! That power is too dangerous to be let back into the world and we must remain down exile for the sins we committed!" Said Kashekim.
"I will do such things! Our people have suffered enough for the crimes of the past! You're blind to what is happening to our people and are so focused on fear and atonement for the past, you have forgotten about our people and their needs! They are dying here and they want to see the surface! Unlike you I plan to not abuse the power like you and our ancestors! I plan to share it and reconnect with the world and bring forth a new age of peace and prosperity to our people! That is my promise!" Declared Kida before she walked past her father.
"Where are you going? Stop this at once!" Yelled Kashekim.
"I'm going to the Heart to see about using it to raise our kingdom." Said Kida.
"Stop her!" Yelled Kashekim to his guards.
The guards raised their spears, but Kida raised Gungnir in the air and unleashed a flash of lightning forcing the guards to back away in fear.
"I don't wish to fight any of you, but if you get in the way, I will. Atlantis will rise." Said Kida as she walked to the secret entrance to where the Heart was kept.
Kashekim could only bow his head in defeat.
