Fazbear Entertainment had truly done the Impossible. They had brought their company back from the grave as if it never left and Now they were more successful than ever. Barely anyone remembered the tragedies surrounding the Fazbear name, and now a new face was about to enter the frame...
And things, were about to become a lot more complicated.
2XXX, MARCH 26TH
19:40
The show was about to start, and the 3rd show of the week at that! However, as Monty, Chica and Freddy continued to wait for their 4th member, it was clear that impatience was brewing among the group. Specifically in Monty, who tapped his foot aggressively against the glossy floor of Rockstar row.
"Alright, What the hell is taking so damn long Roxanne?! We've been waiting for at least 20 minutes!" Monty yelled, no longer able to suppress his annoyance.
"B-But it's only been 5-"
"W-Well, That's beside the point, Fred! The show is about to start and she still ain't out of that damn dressing room. Don't she have hair stylists to do that for her?"
"You know how Roxy is, Monty. She prefers to do it herself because she likes it a certain way." Chica explained, trying to calm him down.
"It still makes no damn sense. Whatever, I can't be bothered wit' waiting anymore. Meet me at the elevator when you wanna start this thing." Monty muttered, storming off towards the exit.
"Wha- Monty! We're..." Freddy yelled after him only to have the door slammed, blocking any sound from getting to him. "We're all supposed to walk together..."
Chica shook her head while patting Freddy on the back. Monty was never exactly a patient person. Since they got their new parts, Monty had been getting increasingly annoyed at things. It was becoming problematic, especially during opening hours.
Freddy straightened his back and shook his head before walking towards Roxy's green room.
"Roxy?" He asked through the door. Freddy heard Roxy breathe a heavy sigh, making him feel even more guilty about bothering her, despite that, the show couldn't be delayed any further.
"What is it, Freddy? I'm a bit busy making myself look perfect."
"Are you finished yet? The show is going to start soon and we need you ready!"
"Oh my god... yeah yeah, I get it! I heard Monty yelling like a moron, I'll be out in a minute-"
"WHO YOU CALLING MORON?!"
"M-Monty? I thought you were going to the elevator!" Chica asked in confusion as Monty emerged from his green room.
"W-Well, I changed my mind! A-Anyways..." Monty said as he walked up to Roxy's door, essentially pushing Freddy out of the way.
"ROXY! YOU'VE BEEN IN THERE SO LONG, OUR CROWDS ARE GONNA HAVE GRAY HAIR BY THE TIME YOU'RE OUT!" He screamed. making everyone in the corridor jump.
Freddy and Chica looked towards each other nervously, they could practically feel the stares of the dayshift workers staring at them from across the room. They had been in Rockstar Row for a while now, next to Chica's room, doing apparent renovations.
"I SAID I'LL BE OUT IN A MINUTE!"
"A minute is like thousands of years for you!"
"No, it's not!"
"Uhh... Guys? I think Mr-" Chica spoke out-
"THIS DON'T INVOLVE YOU!"
"THIS DOESN'T INVOLVE YOU!"
They both screamed, causing Chica to yelp in surprise.
"ANYWAYS, IT TOTALLY IS! EVERY SHOW IS LIKE THIS FOR YOU!"
"IS NOT!"
"IS TOO!"
"IS NOT!"
"IS TOO!"
"STOP!"
Everyone in the corridor froze once they heard that voice, Freddy, Monty and Chica all slowly turned to look behind them. The man who yelled, was Mr Nathan Cross. The man who owned Fazbear entertainment.
Mr Cross didn't show himself often, but when he did... he reeked of authority. Every employee, if they're robotic or not, respects him, and making him mad is like sentencing your own death.
Fortunately for the group, he seemed less mad and more disappointed.
"M-Mr Nathan Sir! H-How long have you been standing there?" Freddy asked, fearful of the answer.
"About 40 seconds and counting. It was more than enough time to see all of you arguing and not getting ready for showtime. Why are you all still here?" His voice was stern and serious, further showing off his annoyed expression.
"W-Well, Ya see boss...IT'S ALL ROXY'S FAULT!" He screamed, hoping to pin all the blame on the wolf.
"WHA-That's not fair, You're the one who started it!" Roxy retorted.
"Prove it-"
"Stop arguing! Jesus, you're all acting like little kids!" Mr Cross placed his head in his hands before walking over to Roxy's door.
"Roxanne." He said with a low voice, almost as if he was a parent about to scold his child.
"...W-What?" She said while trying to act tough, her wavering voice betraying her.
"Get out of the room now, all of you are heading to the elevator immediately."
"B-But I'm not done with my hair! If I go out without looking perfect then-"
"Roxy! OUT! No one is going to care if your hair is slightly less flowy than normal, and you are NOT about to miss a show because of some stray strand of hair."
...
"Ugh... FIIIINE! Let me just put everything away." Mr Cross nodded before turning to Monty, his fed-up face returning.
"Monty, you know better than to aggravate Roxanne."
"I know! But she was taking too long in there-"
"And because you started an argument with her, it would have taken her even longer to get out. You know how Roxanne is, and she knows how you are... So please, just try to tolerate each other in the future?"
Monty huffed before nodding slowly and fixing his sunglasses, muttering a dejected "Yeah." before turning to pick up his bass.
"Good! Now, Before I leave, you all need to know something." Freddy's ear twitched, his words had peaked both his and Chica's interest.
"After this show, come to where Bonnie Bowl was. I need to show you something really important. Alright, See you soon."
"Ooooh! I love surprises!" Chica said while jumping in glee. Freddy however, was worried about Mr Cross's statement. Why did he say 'Was?' What was happening to Bonnie Bowl? He said it was under renovation, not being removed!
However, before Freddy could get any answers, Mr Cross was already walking away, ticking off something on his clipboard. Freddy sighed as Roxanne walked out, trying desperately to fix a very small strand of hair on her face.
*Well, whatever it is... I know Mr Cross has our best interests at heart! I'm sure everything will be fine. *
10 Minutes later...
Mr Cross walked past a group of construction workers, nodding to them as they continued their work. The show below had already started, blasting 80's music in every speaker they could get their hands on. The crowd could not stop screaming in joy as the Animatronics continued their show, bringing a slight smirk to Mr Cross's face.
*Even if they act like brats sometimes, those Animatronics really know how to run a show! Hopefully, the one I'm about to meet will be no different. *
He was told a new Animatronic would be down here on his way to the Pizzaplex, it was a replacement for Bonnie since so many had been asking where he had been and staff had begun to grow tired of telling kids the same thing every time. He looked over the In Progress floor plan for the new attraction as he waited for the Elevator.
The attraction, labelled "Fazbear's Fright", took up the majority of the blueprint, due to being the same room the Bowling Alley was once held. Speaking of which, Mr Cross's attention was immediately drawn to the significantly downsized room in the corner, containing an almost miniature version of the original Bonnie Bowl but with a noticeable ghoulish theme.
He did know about the original Fazbear's Fright that burned down shortly before its grand opening, and while he did slightly dislike the use of an old name since Fazbear entertainment needed to move on from its past, there were no casualties that occurred during the fire that he knew of, so the name would do for now.
"Hmm, I'm glad they didn't completely eliminate the bowling aspect. Might've turned away some people, this place'll need to pay for itself because of all these renovations." He said to himself
"MR CROSS, SIR!" A distant voice yelled, followed by hurried footsteps.
He knew that voice, yet hearing it here was odd. It was Evan, the assistant mechanic to Lesley who handled the Glamrocks and repaired them after every show. However, since Lesley had been busy all week, Evan was left to handle the new Animatronic on his own.
"Ah, Evan. I was certain you were already inside the attraction, testing the new animatronic. Why are you out here instead?"
"S-Sorry sir! The chief security guard needed help with something and all the tests for the bot were done! So, I figured it would've been fine." He said while rubbing the back of his head,
"Vanessa wanted your help? Well, as long as the tests are complete, I suppose I can let you off this time. Follow me." Mr Cross motioned to the Elevator doors, beckoning the mechanic to follow him.
The Elevator ride was quiet, making the mechanic extremely uncomfortable. He could've sworn he felt the judgemental eyes of his boss on his back, but in reality, Cross wasn't even looking at him, instead staring at the blueprint as he was doing prior.
Eventually, the doors opened, and Cross and Evan stepped out of the Elevator. Evan shuddered at the sudden decrease in Temperature, caused by the cold smoke that covered his ankles. The entire room looked like it came straight out of a horror movie, A fact that made Cross happy with how the overall presentation of the attraction entrance.
"Alright, lead me to the Animatronic Evan, we need to turn him on before the show finishes." Cross motioned forward, snapping Evan back to his senses.
"R-Right! Sorry, Kinda got lost in my thoughts there... No matter how many times I enter this place, it still gives me the Heebie-jeebies." Evan began to lead him through the maze that was the hallways before stopping at the main lobby, where all the features of the room were made known.
While Evan walked forward and began to remove parts of a big wooden crate, Cross looked around him, in awe at how many parts of the attraction there were.
There was a mirror maze, A haunted house, A hide and seek minigame, a small diner in the corner for people to relax, dozens of arcade machines and a small stage near the diner similar to how Bonnie bowl was constructed. Safe to say that when the attraction opened, the customers wouldn't be getting bored anytime soon.
"Alright, that should do it!" Evan spoke out, drawing Cross's attention to the now open box. He can make out a silhouette but everything else was obscured by fog and shadows.
"His name is Dreadbonnie. Similar to Dreadbear from that one VR game Faz Ent released, though he's not as 'Frankenstein's Monster' esque so he doesn't stand out as much." Evan explained.
"So, I take it everything is ready?"
"Everything is ready, sir. The chip is installed, tests are complete and the power systems are good."
"What are its traits? I need to know how to talk with him. The last time Lesley didn't tell me, Monty destroyed all of Parts and Service."
"A-Ah, right. The Personality is... Reclusive, curious, and Sarcastic. So, he's a bit of a lone wolf but likes making jokes at others' expense, you know, typical sarcasm stuff."
Mr Cross looked uneasy after the mention of sarcasm, it was never one of his favourite personality traits, but he shrugged it off anyways.
"Well, I guess that's fine. He doesn't need to be all buddy-buddy with the other animatronics anyways. Alright, let's bring this monster to life. Power him on!"
"On it!"
"BEGINNING POWER SEQUENCE NOW...LOADING IS COMPLETE. SUBJECT DB-01 IS ONLINE. ENTERING SAFE MODE..."
And just like that, the Animatronics eyes flashed to life, moving around the room to observe his surroundings. It seemed very weirded out by the area around it, and the confusion was clear on his face. The animatronic walked out, revealing the gigantic bunny that towered over them.
Now that it was on and alive, Cross really made sure to take a look at the Robot's body. There were stitch lines everywhere on its body, two different coloured eyes both blue and green respectively and a row of sharp fangs alongside his normal teeth.
"Welcome to the world, Dreadbonnie." Cross spoke, catching Dreadbonnie's attention. Cross made a pointing motion with his finger and moved it around him in a circle, Dreadbonnie followed its movements with pinpoint accuracy, calibrating to his movements.
"Good, He's already doing a much better job than the other endos. Conduct a scan now-"
"Oh, there's no need to tell him to do that, Mr Cross." The mechanic interrupted.
"What? I've had to do that with all the others!"
"Not with good ol' Dreadbonnie! Thanks to our mechanic bot down in parts and services, He's been outfitted with the latest Animatronic tech and should have done it automatically. Here, I'll show you." Evan walked forward, setting the laptop he was holding down on the table. "Dreadbonnie! Who is the person next to me?"
"That is Mr Cross, he is a high-ranking manager in the Fazbear LLC who manages the overall state of the Pizzaplex and its employees. Despite not being the owner of the building, his status alone grants him a level 10 security pass to all attractions of the Pizzaplex." Dreadbonnie spoke, his voice was deep and rumbly which made sense for his purpose.
"Incredible... Are there any other features I should know about?"
"Well, we might be here all night if I was to list all of them. Although I should probably mention one thing, his Show mode is a little different to the others." Evan stated, not noticing the very subject of conversation walking away.
"What do you mean his Show Mode is different, and why wasn't I informed of this earlier?!"
Evan's voice echoed throughout the building, hurting Dreadbonnie's sensitive ears, he eventually tuned the two humans out, focusing on being immersed in the environment around him. The smoke that covered the floor and the fake dead trees placed all around the place made it painfully obvious that this place was supposed to be, for a lack of a better word, Intense. The strange green hue on the walls wasn't helping either.
However, the music was what he liked the most. To most, it was barely audible, but thanks to his ears, Dreadbonnie could make out a long descending drone, being frequently masked by the various arcade machines and other louder sources of sound, it truly added to the unnatural atmosphere of the place.
Sitting down at a nearby table, he noticed a nearby poster directly across from him, it was the silhouette of a bunny with ridiculously sharp teeth and claws. Underneath the bunny was some red 80's text saying 'SCREAM!' which seemed almost out of place with the rest of the poster.
"...Is that supposed to be me? Cuz it sure doesn't look like it..." He said to himself, his voice betraying the tone he spoke in.
Now he could hear yelling in the distance, seems like the two humans finally realised he left.
"Took them long enough. I could hear them all the way over here with these stupid sensitive ears."
Dreadbonnie sighed in annoyance, however, as he heard their footsteps approach, he took another glance at the poster next to him.
'Scream'...
He then looked at his arms and legs, then attempted to take a peek at his mouth only to release he didn't just have teeth, but sharp fangs...
And just like that, everything clicked.
Something awakened within him as he put his body against the wall, silently listening to the footsteps and voices as they got closer.
"I-I'm so so so sorry, Mr Cross! I swear I'll find him as quickly as I can!" The mechanic's voice finally came into range, yet despite that Dreadbonnie could tell he was still far from his position.
"Well, do you have any idea where it could be?" Mr Cross yelled from across the room.
"W-Wait, what was that? Sorry I can't hear you over the arcade machines!" He apologised.
He was close, just close enough...
"Oooooh, I'm gonna love this place, aren't I?"
