Chucky's resurrection is exactly the same as in the movie

Chapter 1

September 29th 1996

Sullivan nodded to Dr. Patterson to continue, the room was dark except for the light bouncing off his projected screen. He looked at his executives watching the child psychologist. As CEO of play pals Sullivan had already decided what he was going to do regardless of what Patterson the corporate child psychologist had to say. Still there were the niceties to be observed, recommendations to be considered carefully. A toy company must be responsible and responsive. After all Sullivan thought the play pals toy company I got some bad press. Well some very bad press. Press that nearly blew the damn company out of the water. Although eight years have passed since the initial incident of Andy Barclay and his 'killer good guy doll.' Sullivan knew that he'd better tread carefully. Patterson looked at him waiting for his attention,

"Mr. Sullivan?" There was a click and then Sullivan was looking at the slide of Andy Barclay. Not one of his favorite things to look at. "This is Andy Barclay. Eight years ago he touched off the scandal that nearly crippled this company, claiming that his good guy doll Chucky was possessed by," Patterson flipped to the next slide and a most unpleasant looking man replaced the small boy. " Charles Lee Ray the notorious Lakeshore Strangler." Sullivan heard small moans and sarcastic oh my gods from all around him. Patterson shut off the projector and automatically all the shades on the windows opened up. Allowing the brilliant sunlight to pour in. Sullivan turned around in his chair to face Patterson. "Now I ask you ladies and gentlemen. After all the lawsuits and negative publicity, where is the wisdom and putting the good guy back on the market?" Is he forgetting how much the Good Guy sold? Sullivan asked himself. Shannon, a very lovely assistant turned her attention away from Patterson and to the man with the money.

"Mr. Sullivan before any of this happened the Good Guy outsold all of our other products two to one. Even now interest in the marketplace is at its peak. The factory is up and running again, we should be in stores by next week. We can't allow the fantasies of one disturbed boy to influence company policies." More stirring. It's pretty clear which way the wind is stirring boys but Miles Patterson still had something to say.

"What if?" He said loudly, "The doll somehow affects another child in a negative way? You could have a public relations nightmare on your hands." Sullivan nodded, it was time to take the direct approach he felt his executives looking at him wondering how to answer this question. Sullivan looked up at Patterson and smiled, he took his fingers and lock them around the cigar in his hand.

"Ya know one of the hardest things about this business is that it is a business. Doesn't matter what we're selling whether it's cars, nuclear weapons or yes even toys. The bottom line is the bottom line. And what are children after all than consumer trainees." There were a few chuckles from the employees who were already siding with Sullivan. With a click of his pen Sullivan new. Time to wrap this up especially since the decision was already foregone. "Andy Barclay is ancient history." He paused, "no one remembers him." He paused again, "no one cares." Patterson stared into Sullivan's unforgiving eyes just knowing that it was all for the money.

" I have made up my mind." Sullivan concluded, "We're moving ahead. Thank you." Everyone clapped and rushed off to make the new Good Guy doll better than ever. All except Patterson.

"Mr. Sullivan if there's nothing I can say to convince you then I must go on record with my position I am completely against this." Sullivan smirked,

"Your position is crystal clear Miles, and you can be sure I won't forget." Patterson's mouth opened but no words came out. Hello, good morning, wake up and smell the coffee. Finally Patterson got the message, he packed up his slides and his notes. By lunchtime tomorrow he would be enjoying the unemployment suite. Petzold jumped up right behind them grinning, the other executives beamed. " just a minute here folks." Sullivan looked at his assistant so eager to please. "Mr. Sullivan we have a surprise for you." Everyone turned, "Guys at the factory sent this over and we all wanted you to have it." Sullivan held the box and peered into what was inside. "It's the first one off of the assembly line." Petzold continued, "The Good Guy of the 90s!" Everyone cheered and Sullivan stared at the doll through the box's window. Hidey ho indeed.
