A/N: This series is written as a fun challenge. Though I will try to find in-character justifications for certain actions, I will warn that some of the prompts/plot points with which I'm working are pretty out there.
According to my outline, this will probably be around twenty chapters long, and as with the previous story, I will try to update weekly.

Introduction
11 SEPTEMBER 1990—Three girls marched into the Great Hall, swept along in a tidal wave of other First Years. The first was Belle Newbourne, a Half-blood brunette bookworm. She was followed by her cousin Alina Vervain, a green-eyed Pureblood, and Swan Xenos, who had wild blonde hair and a loud voice.
As Professor McGonagall called their names, the girls stepped up to be Sorted. By nature of…the alphabet, Belle Newbourne went first. She was Sorted into Ravenclaw, following Cho Chang and Marietta Edgecombe to the Ravenclaw House Table. The Sorting Hat sat on Alina Vervain's head for half a second before declaring "Slytherin!" She was smiling smugly as she joined her housemates. Swan Xenos' Sorting took a bit longer, as the Hat debated between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, but since she wanted to be in the same House as her deceased father, the Hat placed Swan in Hufflepuff.
Several years past. Harry Potter came to Hogwarts. Young, dark-haired Tom Riddle was resurrected from his diary, and he spent his time building up supplies deep in the Chamber of Secrets. Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban, got his name cleared of all counts of murder, and moved into a flat in London. Peter Pettigrew managed to get a post at Hogwarts, helping Filch clean. A French girl named Fleur Delacour transferred from Beauxbatons. Bald pasty Voldemort returned.
Our trio of protagonists grew up. Belle fit right in with Ravenclaw. She tutored younger students in various subjects, and spent her free time reading anything from fantasy to chemistry. She became friends with George Weasley, helping him and Fred with the research side of creating Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes.
Alina grew in beauty. Unfortunately, she knew she was gorgeous, and she used her looks to her advantage when manipulating people. She had a goal, and after all, the ends always justify the means. Especially when the goal is nefarious. Even though she was a Slytherin, she connived her way into McGonagall's good graces, becoming the Gryffindor Head's favorite student.
Swan's hair and personality grew in crazy. Most of her fellow students couldn't say much else about her.
And then the dating years hit.
